Lesser appreciated varieties of shipping:

I ship it for the sake of narrative or thematic symmetry  

I ship the idea of them, but their actually getting together in canon would ruin it for me  

I don’t ship it myself, but one of the other characters clearly does, and I’m a fan of them shipping it  

I headcanon that they were an item in the past and it ended in disaster, thereby explaining their present dynamic   

I ship it mostly because them being together would annoy a third character so much  

I ship it because nobody else does  

I’m not emotionally invested in it, but the intellectual puzzle of figuring out what bizarre sequence of events would be needed to make it happen is fascinating  

I ship it exclusively as part of a self-indulgent matchmaking fantasy where I’m the one who gets them together  

The very idea of them together disgusts and repulses me, and I’m struggling with how to phrase “hey, your fic really pissed me off” as a compliment  

I ship the AU versions of them that exist in my head, but not their canon counterparts  

I ship it only and specifically if it’s unrequited  

I ship it to spite the author

I really suck at writing anything dark or angsty. And by suck i mean like i CAN write it and often have ideas for it— but i have bad emotional control and if i make something really sad or upsetting it tends to directly effect me and will last for days. Im sure this is some flavor of brain-spicey but yeah the big reason you almost never see me post anything angsty or dark isn't because i dislike it or think its bad— i have MASSIVE amounts of respect for people who make dark art bc i just simply do not have a mind that can handle it. At least not usually

Once in a while something pops out with no issues! But usually i have to avoid getting too dark with my work unless i want to be in a depressive episode for the next month lol

I have a few hard nos (sorry, Val lovers. I dont fuck with any Val ship aside from MAYBE voxval but like only if its Val getting dumped lol Val is purely a source of torment for me i like making him suffer thats about it)

For obvious reasons, im not into Romantic and/or sexual ships that put Angel with a woman bc he is canonly gay. but also platonic ships are a thing!! Platonic!rainbowdust is literally one of my absolute favorites! It's possible to write a loving relationship between two people that isn't romantic or sexual! (A wild concept i know) same rule applies to Vaggie!

My only other hard no is Charlie/Alastor. Zero hate to anyone that likes it, but i do have the tag blocked for a reason.

Im not particularly INTERESTED in any Adam ships but wouldn't say i hate them?? Im just indifferent to him as a whole lol

Overall i tend to lean more into messy poly dynamics instead of strict ships— i like exploring all flavors of dynamics and relationships between the characters! So yes im definitely a multishipper but i do have ships i lean into more than others
