It’s early October. A DVD of The Muppet Show just arrived in the mail from Netflix. Your dad shows you how to check for scratches and lets you carefully hold the disk. He tries to explain the technology and chemistry of it, but you’re 7 and don’t even understand that light is a wave yet. Yesterday you went out with your family to the cider mill, so today your mom pours everyone a glass and makes popcorn to share. This is her favorite show from when she was a kid, you actually hear her giggle. It’s a rare moment. It’s one of the few cozy memories you’ll keep from childhood. It’s time to meet the Muppets…

Nostalgic Moments
-
Synopsis: 2010’s preteen Fall nostalgia
-
Imagine.
It’s October 1st.
You’ve just got off the school bus at the end of your street. And you take the short walk home slowly because the breeze feels nice and the leaves crunching under your feet make you happy.
You get home, finding your mom and grandma in the Kitchen. They’re making out patties for Hamburgers and cutting potatoes for fries.
There’s a fresh gallon of Sweet Tea in the fridge, and you take a glass to your room.
You sit at your desk and turn on the TV, surfing through your go-to channels.
Cartoon Network? There’s an episode of The Amazing World of Gumball on. You watch until it cuts to commercial for Count Chocula, Frankenberry and Booberry cereals. You make a mental note to ask your mom to get some Booberry before it’s gone for the year. It was your favorite.
You flip to Disney Channel. You grin, hearing the familiar announcer’s voice advertising that ‘Monstober’ was in full swing. An episode of Good Luck Charlie plays in the background as you scroll through Vine.
Everyone is posting their Fall photos on Twitter and Tumblr.
Your mom eventually tells you Dinner is Ready and you discuss Halloween preparations around the table. Maybe this weekend you can go to Party City and get your costume!
When you finish dinner, you take a shower and get into your Pajamas. The ones with the Bats on them.
You channel surf for another hour or so before returning to The Disney Channel to watch HalloweenTown before falling asleep with fantasies of Witches, Magic, and Pumpkins.
