As an avid reader and a linguist, I read many books, having, in this way, many different sources for amazing quotes to admire or to live by. Dozens of quotes undoubtedly hold a special place in my heart, each influencing me in its own way.

Oil party's over! Fossil fuels dwindling, renewables rising, but eco-friendly power can't fuel our Kardashian lifestyles. Ditch endless growth, embrace sustainable living, build local resilience. It's time to swap SUVs for bikes, McMansions for co-housing, and kombucha for plastic straws.

re: that fucking staff post. obviously death to algorithms, but i also wanna interrogate the wider underlying assumptions of their logic there cuz. is 'success' having lots of followers & lots of popular posts??? why is that the end goal of using this website. i don't open tumblr to get attention from strangers, i open tumblr to read funny jokes and interesting commentary and to see cool art. encouraging clout-chasing will only increase user engagement if you successfully get people literally addicted to the associated dopamine hit. what if we didn't have to do that!!! what if a website could be a place you went to on purpose because you had fun there!!!!

One of my favorite scenes in ep 6 is when Hob is telling Dream how much he’s lost in the last 100 years. From his wealth and social standing to his wife and children. How he made missteps and was branded a witch and was drowned. The reason why is of course in part because regardless Hob stays committed to his belief and love of life, but also because Dream is moved in that scene. He’s moved by Hob’s grief and then further moved by his resilience. It’s so lovely to me how much Dream wants him to continue loving life too. And when he thinks that perhaps the world has broken Hob too, he looks ready to cry on his behalf.
I also appreciate the interaction because typically the ageless being has to hype up the character who initially is written to be naively certain of their ideas about life and it’s worth; but that’s not what happens here. Hob isn’t driven by someone else’s assurance that life is good, he’s driven completely by his own. Even through all his grief and loss and even torture of his flesh he accepts it and he lives. Because he just fucking loves living.

Something I love about the implications of the new ‘elemental’ weapons in totk is the idea that link is powering these things himself.
Like, in the first game the weapons were always on - they powered up whether they were being held or sheathed or even dropped. Give a monster a smack, drop it on the ground and it’ll light back up in a few seconds. Generally, this meant that link didn’t have magic, unlike other games in the series. Even the champion’s abilities were just that - the champion’s! He just indicated when to light it up!
But in totk it’s very different. Now, he’s crafting and powering his own gear. The gems were long theorised to be the main ingredient creating magic items, like elemental arrows or enchanted jewellery and armour, and now we have proof!! He’s even learned how to do it himself! Combining gems, or even monster parts to his weapons and lighting them up whenever he wants! Turns them on and off at will! He’s learned to channel magic sometime between botw and totk, something not all heroes learn to do! In fics he’s long been one of the few to have no magic talent whatsoever, and now that’s changed! Wild can officially join the ranks of the magic users!
There’s also the issue of where he learned it and who taught him, but the answer is pretty obvious, and speaks volumes of how far Zelda has come on her own journey.

interesting how people think this was a “happy” ending. on the contrary, everyone is in the exact position korn wants them to be. kp “ended” with korn winning and manipulating everyone again. therefore, it is not an end, but setting up a whole new plot.
korn killed gun before he could finish what he was going to say about nampheung. what was it? we don’t know. he said “history is written by the victors” when he saw the pic of kinn and porsche in love. he is using their love to his advantage and by making porsche head of the minor family, he eliminated a huge threat bc he knows porsche would never betray kinn. he has leverage over porsche and he can oversee everything. he has won.
korn is the one who killed porsche’s father. when porsche had his first flashback he saw gun sitting down and korn standing. so gun’s explanation seemed to be true. he was about to spoil a secret so dire that korn had to instantly kill him for fear kp would hear it.
now, there are so many loose ends to tie and plots to uncover. what is nampheung’s deal? was she pretending all this time? what was gun going to say? what was korn’s plan all along?
he is moving everyone around like chess pieces. at the end of the first episode, he began his chest match and said “let’s begin.” the events of whole show have been korn’s doing. he has won the match. if he has won, it cannot end there. there must be justice.
the way I see it, there is so much to go on from here with a second season. kinn and porsche still have to realise korn’s deceit. and the only way to take korn down is if kinn realises all this himself and dethrone’s korn by his own choice. with porsche’s help. and perhaps even vegas’s help. kinn still needs to grow into the strong mafia leader and be the true head of the main family instead of listening to his father’s orders. and the journey to that point is not easy.

People need to stop using a "Karen" as a rebuke when it doesn't even merit the vitriol.
Asking a question or stating confusion on a story point? Not it.
Some of us have lives and other obligations that mean we don't have the time or spoons to back read over the whole story or even a few chapters as we want, when we are stealing precious minutes back for ourselves as it is.
If I was a Karen, I would be Boomering it up in retirement and wouldn't have this time crunch problem. I would re-read over everything because I would have more time than I know what to do with.
We can't all be your sort of entitled, whiny hypercritical bitch who has all the time in the world to be, K8lynnne.
