No-stress summer learning challenge 🌞: day 11

I should have written this post yesterday, on day 10, but who cares? The update doesn't have to be every 3 days, it can be 4, or even 7. I did 2 lessons, do there is progress, and that's all that matters 🙂. The photos show my messy notes and a cute kitty lamp 🐈, with messy charger cables in the background 🔌. Learning isn't always aesthetic.

Day ten

my first time making an aesthetically post, well, sort off. (I know the images aren't the same size)

this weekend was fast, I slept all of friday and went for a run. It has been a while since my last run, like 6 months or so, I noticed I was gaining some weight and had to stop that, I really want to try a OMAD one meal a day. did some laundry, my room ... but I couldn't study.

today, I woke up early and went to work half asleep, I was the only one working today. made coffee, started working on the project with Eplan, and then switched over to another project with Excel. I think I am going to have an Excel nightmare tonight.

went out to buy some groceries, found a discount on chocolate near its expiration date, grabbed a bunch , went to the cashier, stopped myself right there, and returned the chocolates. I want to be fit again, not tired, sedentary life is really a problem, plus thinking too much makes me want to eat everything. having too much chocolate is not the answer.

I made red lentils, I added celery for the first time, and the sauce became thicker, I am not sure if it's the celery, one thing for sure, it's my most delicious red lentils meal ever.

after that, I studied for one hour, it wasn't enough to understand one exercise but it was honest work. I played a bit with duolinguo, wrote this and zzzz

setting aside my inherent dislike for working with my hands, this project is looking to be so much fun!

i went to bother the electrical engineering people at our makerspace lab place, and he seemed overjoyed about the idea, almost springing to work immediately! they laughed at my extremely apparent lack of understanding but didnt dismiss me whatsoever so its all good lmao

The ghost buster subplot is also doing well haha Maybe once I've got it working on PC it'd make for a fun quick-ish game - the camera picking up otherwise invisible figures and all. x files 360 kinect.

Anyway, what I plan to use it for:

3D scanning!

3D vtuber testing and maybe try in VR chat

as a regular webcam :)

make motion controlled game !!

basic MoCap!!!

mobile robotics !!!!!

adhd meds are making me realize i actually like studying and learning new information... it’s fun!!! but it’s such a pain when you can’t focus because of no immediate reward and it’s slow and such... i feel like i have unlocked my true potential now.

Day 5 + 6 of 100 days of productivity!

No post yesterday as I had gone from exam to quiz to counselling and then to work. Today I am enjoying the library room while I learn about ammeters and voltmeters. It is important to remember that you are not bullet proof and studying is not always going to be easy. You’re mental health is so important to all aspects of your life, take good care of it.

Procrastinating as an engineer is an interesting thing. I got tired of having a haphazard pile of postit notes on my desk so I fixed the problem! I also discovered that my student license for Fusion 360 expired, so I had to find something else. I was expecting to find something "good enough" but for mechanical parts (which is my use case) I actually really like Solve Space a lot better than any Autodesk product I've tried, and its Open Source!

Hoy estuve estudiando por varias horas con descansos cortos, recomiendo mucho usar un pomodoro.

Además, he cocinado esta semana de una forma más saludable y balanceada. Soy de las que odian los vegetales, pero si los disimulo con condimentos y poco más, me sabe estupendo.

Por cierto, soy nueva en esto así que trataré de ser constante mas que nada variar mi rutina.

I did one lesson in 3 days. That's not how it's supposed to be. Will I finish this course before the end of the summer, if it goes that slow 🙁? But I'm really busy and tired, do maybe that's how it should be. I can do more on the weekend 🙂. It's called a "stress-free" challenge, so I don't wanna be stressed about it. Slow progress is still progress 😀. And my cute kitty 😻 came here to help.

tbqh the only engineering class I rly care about this semester is my electromagnetics class

and I mean, how could I not when the TA writes "yay" and a lil emoji on my quiz? (beside from the material being interesting to me and the prof being competent lol)

I had a midterm for this class today as well, and I feel like it went pretty good! I studied by rewriting some of my notes:

Tuesday May 23rd, 2023

Alot has happened since my last post. I will no longer be trying to do electrican stuff this summer because I have the opportunity to take an additional class with a scholarship. I don't think I would be able to take calculus 3, a junior level electrical engineering class, and do trade school or an apprenticeship. At least not and make As which I need to do. I think it'll be ok but I need to focus.

I'm continuing to work on my health, spanish, and some petsitting.
