And some Dragon Age tickles! I've been playing it again, AND DESPERATELY wanted to draw my babies! It's nothing special. Just wanna throw some more art at my blog :)
Dorian likes to suprise Vehiron by sneaking behind him then grabbing his sides, squeezing them while he peppers tickly kisses along his neck. Poor elf doesn't stand a chance!
(My art don't repost but please reblog)

Fandom: Dragon Age: Inquisition
Ship(s): Dorian/Inquisitor Lavellan
Characters (lee/ler): Lee!Lavellan/Ler!Dorian
Word Count: 1614 words
Summary: The life of the Inquisitor is a busy one, and Lavellan has a tendency to overwork himself thanks to that. Fortunately, he has Dorian there to help convince him otherwise -- even if the methods get a bit unorthodox.
[ao3 link]
---------------
Lavellan rubbed at his eyes, leaning back in his chair. They were dry and tired, and the dim light wasn’t helping him any. The sun had set, likely some time ago now, but he hadn’t been paying attention. Now all he had to light his desk was a candle that was burning too low and the glow from the dying fireplace, barely doing anything to cut through the chill anymore.
Lavellan gasped as there was suddenly a warm body on his lap, and his eyes flew open. Dorian sat there, looking down at him with a smirk, one eyebrow raised. He rubbed his hands up and down Lavellan’s arms a few times, helping fight off the chill even more.
“Taking a nap?” Dorian asked, tilting his head to the side. “Because I can not imagine this old chair is so comfortable. Don’t come crying to me when you wake with a crick in your neck.”
As if to punctuate his point, he leaned forward and nipped at Lavellan’s neck. Lavellan blinked a few times, taking in his surroundings again. The candle had completely burnt out, the hot wax even having started to cool. The fire was roaring again, but that was likely Dorian’s doing from when he had entered. The man was rather sensitive to the cold.
He had fallen asleep. Fenedhis, he was more tired than he thought.
“Sorry,” Lavellan murmured. “Didn’t mean to.”
Dorian hummed, leaning up to kiss him. His mustache was soft, tickling Lavellan’s upper lip. He brought his hand up to run it through Dorian’s hair and found it just as soft, none of Dorian’s styling products sticking to his fingers or face. He must have bathed before coming up here. Despite how badly he wanted to sink into Dorian, he pulled away from the kiss, tilting his head to the side to avoid being drawn in again.
“I just need to finish these reports,” he said, shifting under Dorian to coax him into standing. “I’ll come to bed soon.”
Dorian frowned, not rising from Lavellan’s lap. He glanced back at the piles of reports on Lavellan’s desk, outrageously tall, then turned back toward Lavellan, both his eyebrows raised.
“And you think you’re going to finish those tonight? I think not.” Dorian huffed, leaning into Lavellan’s front again. “Come to bed. The reports will be there in the morning.”
Lavellan shook his head. “It’s fine, most of them only need my signature. I’ll be done before you know it.”
Dorian huffed. “Fine, have it your way. But I’ll have you know, I’m quite comfortable, so if you want to do work instead of going to sleep, you’ll have to do it with me sitting here.”
Lavellan rolled his eyes, but couldn’t stop the fond smile lifting at his lips. He allowed Dorian to slouch forward against him and get comfortable before reaching forward to finish his work, lit by the glow of the nearby fire. He pursed his lips when he felt Dorian’s lips start to press light kisses along his neck, but it wasn’t too distracting, so Lavellan didn’t bother telling him to stop.
That was, until Dorian’s ministrations became more intentional, mouthing gently at Lavellan’s neck, his mustache brushing at the skin with every kiss. Lavellan fought to keep his composure, glad that Dorian’s face was tucked away so that he couldn’t see the goofy smile slowly forcing its way across Lavellan’s face. He resisted every urge to shy away or shrug up his shoulders, hoping that Dorian would tire of this and stop soon.
The mustache didn’t normally bother him nearly so much, despite Dorian’s penchant for coming up behind him and kissing up the back of his neck. But normally, Dorian’s mustache was carefully styled, held in place with wax and whatever other products he used to help it keep its shape all day. The hairs were often so confined and coated, they didn’t usually brush up against his skin this way. It was starting to drive Lavellan mad.
He was able to keep his composure until Dorian started moving up, mouthing at and brushing his mustache up against the patches of skin just below and just behind Lavellan’s ear. Lavellan let out a small, choked-off squeak, his shoulder jumping a little in an aborted protective move. His face grew hot. Dorian chuckled against his skin.
“Always so sensitive,” he murmured.
The flush on Lavellan’s face grew. Of course Dorian would assume that Lavellan’s reaction had to do with his ears. Dorian has explored their sensitivity well enough by now, with fingers and lips and tongue, eager to draw out all the noises Lavellan could make from his ministrations. Lavellan didn’t even want to know what it would feel like to have those sensations mingling with the ticklish feeling currently radiating across his skin.
Okay, that was a lie. He did. Just not when it was so late at night, and not when he had so much work to do.
Lavellan cleared his throat, trying to force the wobble out of his voice. “Trying to distract me won’t make me finish this any faster, you know.”
“Oh, don’t mind me,” Dorian said against his skin, hot breath puffing and lips and mustache brushing.
Lavellan had to clench his fingers on the edge of his desk to keep control. It felt like his skin was slowly growing hypersensitive to the light touches, every small sensation sending ticklish sparks racing across his nerves.
Lavellan took a few steadying breaths, hoping Dorian didn’t notice despite how plastered together their bodies were, and tried to regain his focus. He did his best to ignore Dorian covering every inch of his neck in kisses, getting through all of three documents before a gasp was torn from his lips.
Dorian had nuzzled his face into the crook of Lavellan’s neck, humming and sighing as he tried to get comfortable. Lavellan tried to do his best impression of a turtle to force the maddening sensations away, but Dorian didn’t move an inch, thwarting all attempts.
“Dorian—!” Lavellan yelped, high pitched and silly.
Finally, mercifully, Dorian pulled away from his neck, giving him an incredulous look. “What is the matter with you?”
Neck freed, Lavellan brought both hands up to rub at the skin, trying to force the lingering ticklish feelings away. Dorian stared at him like he’d grown a second head. Lavellan dropped his head into his palms and groaned.
“It tickles,” he muttered. “So bad.”
Dorian laughed, prying Lavellan’s hands away from his face. “And why did I not know about this before?”
Lavellan huffed. “I figured you’d find out eventually.”
Dorian reached out and lightly traced a finger down Lavellan’s neck, grinning when he flinched away with a near-giggly whimper and a goofy smile.
“How on earth did you keep it hidden all this time?”
Lavellan felt himself go red from his chest to the tips of his ears. Looking away, he grumbled, “It’s not usually like this.”
“Oh?”
Lavellan squirmed underneath Dorian. “It’s your—the mustache. It’s not styled.”
Dorian blinked at him, then burst into laughter. He laughed with his whole body, tossing his head back and leaning with it, to the point where Lavellan reached out to balance him so he wouldn’t topple backwards. Dorian quickly regained his composure, looking down at Lavellan with a menacing smirk.
“Oh, my dear, you’re in trouble now.”
Lavellan’s eyes went wide. “Dorian, wait—“
Dorian did not wait.
He leaned back into Lavellan’s neck before he could scrunch up in protection, mouthing deliberately at the crook of Lavellan’s neck where he had broken before. Now caught, there was little reason for Lavellan to fight to hide his reactions, and he let out a giggly squeal. Dorian nuzzled in close and huffed out a strong breath, and Lavellan had to stomp his feet on the ground as he laughed just to stand it.
“Adorable,” Dorian spoke against his neck.
Dorian settled more heavily on his lap, limiting his movement and making it a lot harder to stomp his feet. He placed his hands on Lavellan’s shoulders, pushing them down and holding them there. Then, he took a deep breath and started blowing a series of raspberries up the column of Lavellan’s neck.
Lavellan shrieked, squirming what limited amount he could. “Please! Vhenan, please!”
Dorian chuckled. “Please what?” He nuzzled in just under Lavellan’s ear, making him cackle. “My dear, I don’t think I’ve ever met someone so sensitive as you.”
Lavellan finally managed to bring his arms up between their bodies, pushing Dorian back a bit so he couldn’t read Lavellan’s neck. “I don’t think I am, normally?”
Dorian raised an eyebrow, raising wiggling fingers up to Lavellan’s neck before Lavellan caught them mid-air and pushed them back down, laughing and squirming at just the sight.
He averted his eyes, trying not to blush. “It got worse, the more you did it and I tried not to react.”
Dorian grinned. “I’ll have to keep that in mind then, won’t I?”
Lavellan scowled, though he didn’t mean it. “There will not be a repeat performance.”
“There will be right now, if you don’t come to bed.”
Lavellan pursed his lips. “Fine,” he grumbled. “But not because you threatened me! It would just be easier to finish this in the morning, when it’s light again.”
Dorian scoffed, rising from Lavellan’s lap and pulling him from the chair. “Whatever you need to tell yourself, amatus.”
Lavellan allowed Dorian to tug off his day clothes and drag him into bed, pulling him close to share their body heat. Dorian wasn’t built for the chill of the south, that was for certain. He tucked his face into Dorian’s neck as they drifted off, already plotting his revenge.

I think my favorite demons in Dragon Age are envy and hunger. They operate like ambush predators in a way no other demon does; because they operate mostly outside of the fade.
Envy targets people that it is envious of, that will grant it more power/status/renown. You don’t have to be envious, just of enough significance that it is envious. Which means that no one is safe from this demon. And when it catches you? It will either keep you alive or kill you. But before that, it traps you in your own mind to study you, not the fade, your own mind. A place where friends and such can’t reach you to save you. It adds a whole other dimension of existence to da that is just ripe for expanding on the limits and rules. On top of that, when it takes your traits they’re used in the most extreme form of them to further its goals. Suddenly your good intentions are paving the road of others suffering thanks to the demon wearing your face, at best (in my opinion) your dead and your loved ones deal with the fallout. At worst, you have to recover from the damage, it might introduce new paranoias or repulsion, and that’s a fun little psychological horror element to me.
Hunger though, sure it can possess you. Make you a vampire. But it also doesn’t have to. It cursed you, lays in wait till someone so desperate, so hungry for something like revenge, survival, or power, that it will curse you. Fuel you on your endeavor and feed on your hunger as you infect more and more. Which brings this fun little man vs nature vs man triad that just really I want more of in media.
Nightmare would make the list…if it ever left the fade. Like truly, the fact it can erase memories, haunt you with your deepest fears, feed them? There are so many fun narrative devices that invites. But it sits in the fade, it’s restricted in a way that most won’t ever encounter the massive threat it could be.
But hunger and envy? They’re rare and seemingly stalk about Thedas freely. Picking where they hunker down and who is their victims. Envy based on its own desires and hunger by its own design. I’d like more of that honestly.

Here’s an idea for a human commoner origin for DAO:
You are the child of a freeholder, a farmer far down south. You live with your family on the farm and that’s where you’ve lived your whole life. Your might be the eldest of your siblings, expected to inherit the farm once your parents are old and ready to retire; or you might be one of the younger ones, set on somehow making a life for yourself either through another profession, marriage, whathaveyou. For now, you’re still here, working alongside your siblings, parents, maybe an aunt or an uncle as you always have.
One of your parents could’ve been Chasind. We get a bit more background on them, hear some stories about the witches of the wilds and are introduced to their worldview. It makes you a bit of an outsider among Fereldans, but it’s not like people would immediately walk up to you or scream “barbarian!” unless you donned Chasind clothes. Either from your Chasind heritage or the self-sufficient culture in Ferelden, you’ve learned how to handle a bow and an axe; swords are probably out of the question, but you know how to defend yourself. Another starting talent is the trap-making skill; few origins start out with it as is.
You start your day on the farm, talking to its inhabitants and looking after the problems around here (among those inhabitants are a few elves, who’re paid for their work with food and a decent room). There’s talk of the king’s armies at Ostagar, not far from here, but there are more immediate problems to deal with. One of your grandparents is down with a cough, and a goat recently got lost. You and one of your siblings are sent out to find it.
You go out to look for the goat and herbs for your grandparent, and find the latter. The goat, however, has wandered off far. Soon, you come across signs that something isn’t quite right. The plants look weird. What little wildlife you find is agressive. Your sibling gets scared, but at the suggestion of turning back they refuse. That goat is important. So you walk on, watchful.
(You might have a dog with you. It could be a mabari, why not?)
Suddenly, there’s screeching in the underbrush. Your sibling screams and runs. You try to run too, but the creatures swarming out of the bushes have you surrounded. They knock you out and leave you there. This is your first encounter with the darkspawn.
You wake up sometime later, face-down in the mud. You don’t know how much time has passed, but the darkspawn tracks lead to your home. You run. Halfway back, you run into an army; some bann or arl is journeying to Ostagar with their men, and had received reports of darkspawn activity. They deny you help; now that the darkspawn are engaged elsewhere, they and their troops have a chance to pass.
Duncan is accompanying the noble and offers to help you. He gives you something to take care of your wounds and stave off the taint; then you run all the way back home.
Once you’re there, it seems to be too late; the darkspawn have the farm surrounded. It’s utter chaos; things are burning, animals are being slaughtered. Your family has retreated into the main building, which is made out of stone and thus sturdier than the rest, but the darkspawn are already at the door. Duncan proposes a plan: he will draw the darkspawn’s attention, while you dispatch the ones at the back of the building and get your people out. You agree. There’s little more you can do.
You wait for Duncan’s signal and then press onward. You get the choice to free the goats from their pen; they’ll disappear into the hills, worked into a panic by the proximity of the taint. You also get the choice to save one of the elves living with you; they made it to the roof of a building and are fighting the darkspawn off on their own. If you save them, they have nothing more to give you than their gratitude. You slay a few darkspawn and finally reach the back door.
In there, you find your sibling, who is dying from the taint, and your family, scared and unsure what to do. In the middle of the chaotic scene, Duncan gets into the house (he’s still a rogue with probably excellent lockpicking skills). The darkspawn at the front of the house are dead, but more are coming. Your family hass to leave now, but you can’t come with them, and neither can your sibling. You’d attract the darkspawn.
You have the choice of making your sibling come with you to fight the darkspawn and keep them off your family (they don’t want to. They are in pain and terrified), you can choose to end your sibling’s life and spare them further pain, or you can let your family deal with all of that and join Duncan. If you try to refuse leaving with Duncan, your family will kick you out.
You go outside with Duncan and fight the darkspawn. You are victorious. After slaying the last of them, you see through the plumes of smoke your family in the distance, disappearing over the hill.
If you leave your sibling to your family, you will encounter them later on as a ghoul, à la Tamlen.
You have the chance of saving a Chasind tribe and a Fereldan village for the war efforts later in-game; they were at each others’ throats for crime each side thinks the other side has committed, when actually it was either the darkspawn or men loyal to Loghain (every other origin gets quests at home, except Cousland I guess, but they get to storm Howe’s palace. It’s only fair if a human commoner got that chance as well)
Your family makes it to Denerim, without your grandparent, who died along the way. If you helped the elf stuck on the roof, they’ll speak in your favor at the beginning of Unrest in the Alienage.

An Antivan Torture
Fandom: Dragon Age Origins
Pairing: Zevran/Alistair
Slightly NSFW, not explicit. For @august-anon my dragon age bestie x
If Alistair had been cautious about allowing an Antivan Crow - an assassin - into their party of assorted lunatics attempting to save the world from an archdemon before he was forced into sharing a tent with him, that was nothing compared to the niggling feeling at his stomach now.
Not that he expected to have his throat slit in his sleep or anything, Zevran had proved time and again that his first loyalty was to his ‘dear Grey Warden’ Cousland, and was committed to seeing this misadventure through until the bloody end. However, Zevran had also proved that he was incapable of holding a conversation without making it unnecessarily sexual! A small part of Alistair worried that he would wake up with a sneaky Antivan hand fiddling with his laces. The rational part of him reminded that part that Zevran was flirtatious, not a pervert.
But, one thing about Zevran was that he often tried to be helpful. Helpful, in braiding Cousland’s hair in the mornings while she cleans her weapon to save time. Helpful in massaging Leliana’s shoulders after she pulls a muscle in a fight. Helpful in attempting to remove Alistair’s armour from where it’s caught on his head.
“Dear dear, Alistair. You appear to be caught in a rather sticky situation.” Zevran chuckled as he pulled at the leather. Alistair glared.
“Yes… Although I would say it’s more sweaty than sticky. Long day fighting darkspawn, you see.”
“Indeed, you are a most formidable foe to any nasty darkspawn attempting to destroy Ferelden.” Zevran’s thick accent made his words sound even more sarcastic. Alistair glared more.
“Just help me get it off. It’s stuck on my shirt.”
Zevran laughed, a resounding chuckle, and moved his fingers to wear the clasps of the armour that were dug into the cotton of his shirt. “Hold still, I shall attempt to free you from the clutches of your cheap, Southern armour.”
“Now isn’t the time to criticise my fashion sense, Crow.” Alistair said dryly, his voice becoming ever more muffled as the armour came more loose.
“I promise Serah, it is always the time to criticise one’s fashion. Especially when one is to be the future King of Ferelden, no?”
“No.”
“So cynical. One more clasp and I believe you shall be-” Zevran’s deft fingers dug into the flesh of Alistair’s underarm accidentally, making him pull back with a sharp inhale. Zevran quirked an eyebrow. “Oh, what’s this? The famed Grey Warden… ticklish?”
“Am not!” Alistair protested, his face flushed pink. With the last clasp freed from his shirt, he quickly shimmied the armour the rest of the way over his head. “You just, uh, shocked me! You with your sneaky assassin hands, who wouldn’t be shocked?”
“I see,” Zevran nodded, playing along gleefully. “Of course, Grey Wardens cannot be ticklish. Especially not Alistair, slayer of Darkspawn and evil apostates!”
“You’re teasing me again, aren’t you?” Alistair said warily. Zevran chuckled.
“My dear Alistair, I would never!” He crawled closer to his tent mate. “However, you have made the fateful mistake of showing a trained assassin your weakness.”
Alistair crawled backwards, eyes locked on Zevran’s fingers, his mouth curling into a smile already. “Don’t you dare, someone will come running-”
“Why should they? If you are, as you say, not ticklish, then I shall look a fool and we can both proceed with sleeping. Unless you told a fib?” Zevran’s fingers walked across the floor of the tent until they were scarily close to Alistair’s side. Come to think of it, Zevran was scarily close to being on top of him. “Because we crows do not take kindly to fibs.”
“I didn’t fib! Honest!” Alistair couldn’t help the giggle that slipped past his lips, which only egged Zevran on.
“For the sake of us both, I intend to check.” He pounced, pulling Alistair’s legs so he was on his back, then shifting quickly so he straddled the Warden. Alistair struggled, but not using his full power, Zevran noticed.
“Zevran!”
“That is my name. Zev, to my friends.” He winked. His hands rested atop Alistair’s belly. “Are you sure you weren’t fibbing to me, Alistair?”
Alistair eyed him warily, and after a moment of inner turmoil, blurted out, “Do your worst, Zev.”
This surprised Zevran for all of a second before he reacted, a broad grin spreading across his face. “If you insist, your majesty!”
Alistair shrieked into his hands as Zevran’s hands came down like a flurry of tickly magic across his belly, very aware of the others asleep in their own tents.
“Indeed, it seems you were fibbing! Tut tut, my darling Alistair, you shall have to be punished.”
Alistair wriggled underneath his friend, trying desperately to both escape and conceal his laughter at the same time. It didn’t help in the slightest that while his worst spots were being tortured, Zevran was letting loose a stream of pet names and teases that made his innards squirm.
“Ticklish here, sweet Warden? My dear, aren’t you in trouble, I should hate to be tickled like I am tickling you. It seems to be torturous. But you are laughing, so it cannot be all bad. I love your laughter, I would like to hear more of it. Are your hips ticklish too, darling? Let us discover together.”
Alistair’s laughter had moved from giggles to belly laughs to squeals in very quick succession, and he was sure he heard his fellow Warden cough loudly from the tent next to them, but he found himself no longer caring.
“Lie still, you’re making it increasingly hard for me to tickle you while you wiggle like that.”
“Stop!” Alistair choked out through his giggles. Zevran’s hands moved with demonic precision, focusing on the spots that made Alistair buck and laugh the hardest.
“Stop what, exactly? The tickling, or the ferocious teasing that makes you squirm so?”
“Both!”
Zevran chuckled, his fingertips gliding across his friend's waistline. “Dearest Alistair, you are simply delicious.”
“I am not! Cheese is delicious, I am a person under siege by an Antivan loony!”
“Now now, insulting the man who is situated on top of you is not, perhaps, the best way to convince him to move.” Zevran’s hands drifted across his belly, relishing in the way it made Alistair giggle and squirm. “Not that you could. I will stay here until I am tired of hearing your delightful laughter, which could be hours, days, or months.”
“Zehehehevran pleahehehehehese!” Alistair begged, feeling tears roll down his cheeks. Zevran tutted, halting his attack to wipe them away.
“I apologise. Did I take it too far? I am known for that.”
“No, no,” Alistair spoke before he thought. As usual. “It was… sort of nice.”
“Sort of?” Zevran slid off his friend, a warm smile on his face. “Should I endeavour to do it again some time?”
“I wouldn’t say no.” Alistair blushed, smiling back.

Fandom List
Rating Scale: 💖💖💖💖💖 max
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Imma just say if you're hoping for this to be like alohabetised or vaguely organised it ain't gonna happen anyway let's get on with this mess
Descendants: 💖💖💖💖💖
Current hyperfixation. Might update this list whenever I get a new one idk. Fave Lee is Harry and I don't have a fave Ler yet but Uma could be fun if only because she has like 20 limbs!
Lord of the Rings: 💖💖💖💖
Fave Lee is Legolas (apparently elven laughter makes everyone happy according to some fanfics and I am weak) and fave Ler is probably Gimli.
Dragon Age Origins: 💖💖💖💖
Listen I don't pick the things I like too much. Even if they're stupidly specific. Fave Lee is Zevran (do I have a type??) and fave Ler has to be Leliana.
Encanto: 💖💖💖
Not as high up on my list as it used to be but still high enough to write for! Fave Lee is Camilo and fave Ler is Isabela!
Percy Jackson: 💖💖💖💖
Along with all the other books that revolve around these guys. Fave Lee is absolutely Nico 100%, and the fave Ler just has to be Leo. He's so chaotic. He'd be such a good ler!
That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I'll try and keep this updated.
I do take requests but I don't do x reader - just so you know! Enjoy!

Honestly, I will always see my Hawke as someone with magic in their veins, no matter their class. It just ties so nicely with Legacy and... certain problems in Kirkwall.

a place with you; luke castellan
Tumblr media
wc: 2.8k (got a little carried away whoops)
pairing: luke castellan x f! reader
synopsis: luke is used to people coming in and out of hermes’ cabin without a second thought. so when you’re having a hard time adjusting to camp life, he doesn’t expect you to stick by his side, even after you’re claimed.
warnings/notes: shy reader going through a tough time, hurt/comfort, pining, kisses, fluff, potential ooc luke i don’t know what i’m doing, most of this is prob inaccurate lol, i got wayyy too attatched to this i am sorry, title inspired by dragon eyes by adrianne lenker
Tumblr media
Luke Castellan is the son of a messenger. He’s used to delivering, passing things along, letting them enter his life and leave him. Sometimes it makes him angry. At his father, at the world, at himself.
So when you passed through the Hermes cabin for the inevitable few weeks before getting claimed by your Godly parent, the last thing Luke expected was for you to stay.
When you first got to camp you were terrified. Luke remembers that much. He can still picture you in Chiron’s towering shadow as he led you up to Hermes cabin. He gave you the usual spiel about the cabin, the land of the unclaimed, but it clearly hadn’t quelled your nerves. You were wringing your fingers together when Luke first spotted you, your eyes blown wide in what he knew as shock and a sort of . . . grief. For a life you’d left for what Luke knows as a life you’d never really have. He’d seen it in so many campers before you. He’d see it many times after.
“This is Luke, Hermes’ head counsellor and one of Camp Half-Blood’s finest,” Chiron pointed him out to you at the entrance. After Chiron introduced you, Luke held your name in his memory. Not because there was anything particularly intriguing about you at first, to be honest, because he’d seen a lot of people like you that needed help settling in (although maybe not many his age). It was harder for some people to adjust than most. He knew that better than anyone.
“Nice to meet you,” he stuck out his hand for you to shake after Chiron left. “I’m Luke.”
You sniffed, shaking it without looking at him. You were so, so embarrassed. This whole time you’d been too stupidly overwhelmed to process anything. Why was this so hard for you? Was it this hard for everyone? “Hi,” you managed, and that was it.
Now, weeks after your first meeting, you’ve concluded that it was not, in fact, this hard for everyone. The camp is crowded but full of life. You’ve never seen more happy kids in your life. There’s a sense of community on the wind.
So why can’t you feel it? Why is it so hard to connect with people? To participate in the fun? Everywhere you look there’s people but it’s all just so . . . lonely. You don’t fit. You’re lost.
Luke wakes up at night when the cabin door creaks open. He’s already tossing, so it’s no surprise he catches it. Unfortunately, he’s supposed to be a good counsellor—sneaking out at night is against the rules, and you’ve gotta reign the strays back in before they cause a ruckus. Sure, Luke’s not exactly a stickler for the law, but the least he owes is to make sure everyone’s safe.
Groaning, he draws himself out of the comfort of his bunk but doesn’t get far when he spots a familiar silhouette slipping out the door. He knows it’s you. He’s been hearing crying at night, and this is confirming his suspicions. It makes him ache in a million different places. Every time he thought about approaching you he shut himself down almost instantly, because who the hell wants some random guy coming up to them in the middle of the night and drawing attention?
This time, though, he’s a little worried.
It’s chilly tonight but not too bad, especially when you’re huddled up in a ball on a hill in front of the lake, grass tickling your ankles. Your tears keep you warm.
It’s a sorrow that feels bottomless. You don’t know what’s gotten into you. You don’t know why everything’s so hard.
There’s a scuffling of shoes, and your name is carried to you on the heels of a breeze. Oh God. There’s someone else here.
You sniff and smear your tears on the palms of your hands the best you can but a little part of you only wants to cry more now that you’re all anxious, and you only have a few seconds to collect yourself before you turn around and see Luke, your cabin leader, with furrowed brows. “Oh, h-hi, Luke.” It’s hard to ignore the splinter in your voice. You curse yourself a thousand times.
“Hey,” he says hesitantly, eyeing you in a way that makes you feel entirely exposed. “You, uh, you know you’re not technically supposed to be out here, right?”
You start to scramble to your feet with an apology on your tongue but surprisingly he laughs, a gentle sound, and beckons you to sit back down. “No, no, I’m not gonna get you in trouble or anything, just . . . letting you know.”
It’s uncertain if you should keep sitting, but you decide to because well, you’re already down here, and things can’t go lower than this. Luke comes to sit next to you and you stare out into the sea like your life depends on it. “Wanna talk about why you’re out here?”
“Wh-what do you mean?”
“I mean,” Luke sighs, scooting a little closer to you. “Most people don’t up and leave in the middle of the night because they’re having a great time.”
The answer is too hard to say so you don’t reply.
Again, Luke sighs, and you try not to look at the shadow the moon casts on his admittedly handsome face. “It’s hard settling in, I know. It happens to a lot of people. I’ve . . . I’ve seen a lot of them, and it doesn’t get any easier.”
“Well it sure seems easier,” you snap, and your self-control flies away before you can stop it. “I have no idea why I can’t just suck it up and fit in here. Everyone seems so happy and it’s driving me nuts because I’m just so confused on why I can’t—why I can’t—process any of it.” Tears burn your eyes. “I’m just miserable. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.”
In the corner of your view, Luke’s face falls. “I’m your guide, you know that, right? I can help you.”
You sniff, embarrassingly pathetic. “I know.”
He comes even closer. “So why didn’t you ask?”
“Because I—I don’t know, you’re busy all the time with all the people in there, so I’m sure your job’s already stressful as is, so—”
“My job is to help you,” he says, a hand on your shoulder. “That’s what I signed up for. If you need something, I’m the one to ask.”
“I’m not sure you signed up for me crying like a baby,” you swallow, the ripples of the lake blurring together. “I mean, I’m like, older than half the kids here, and they’re all so much better than me. I’m not good at a—anything, and I’ve tried it all, and nobody’s claimed me yet, and I feel so weird and old and alone and . . .” It’s too much to think about so you dig the heels of your palms into your eyes, hoping the sting wards off the thoughts. “What if I’m nothing? Why am I here?”
You’re crying again, hiccuping into your hands. Shame sears into you. Luke’s arm curls around your shoulders and you realize how cold you are when he’s warm, so warm, and you want to cry even harder. You don’t even know him, but it’s the most tenderness you’ve received in what feels like years. “Hey, deep breaths,” he murmurs, rubbing your arm with his other hand. “It’s okay. Look at me.”
It takes a ridiculous amount of strength to heed him. His hand catches your cheek and you can’t bear to pull away. Something strange rustles in your stomach.
Luke’s taught instinct when faced with situations like these is to reassure that the Gods always have a plan. But he doesn’t feel like much of a liar tonight. Both his hands steady your face towards his, your skin damp and cold beneath his thumb. “It's not your fault. It always takes a little bit of time for people to get claimed, it’s never . . . well, you can never tell.”
“What if I don’t get claimed?” You say it so quiet you can pretend it was imaginary.
His eyes crinkle at the sides when he says, “Well, Hermes’ll always have a place for you.”
I’ll, Luke wants to say, I’ll. His father is not responsible for his cabin’s kindness.
“No one really prepares you for how overwhelming this is,” he continues, thumb rubbing the apple of your cheek. Your vision is clearer now, and Gods, he is handsome, isn’t he? Even when his eyes are forlorn. “It’s harder in a way when you’re older. More to leave behind. Less to look forward to. It’s easier when you have a friend. Or a great cabin head.” He tilts his head with a faint smile, “Lucky for you, I’m both.”
It almost makes you laugh, and that’s enough. “It’ll get easier,” he promises softly. “There’s nothing wrong with you.”
Your cheeks burn. It’s hard to keep his gaze, so you blot at your eyes with your hands as Luke gently slides his off your face. “Thank you. Sorry for, um, all that. And the crying.”
He chuckles, “Don’t even worry about it.” You watch him rise in the throes of starlight. He offers you a hand. “Aren’t you cold?” He asks after pulling you up, and you sheepishly nod your head. He tosses you a sweater he’s been wearing, and it smells like firewood. Nostalgic, in a way. “I’m gonna poke around for some tea. Wait for me back at the cabin.”
Before he leaves, he squeezes your arm and that thing happens again in your stomach. “No need to be embarrassed, by the way. You can come to me anytime. I’m probably less busy than I look.” As he walked away, he added, “And don’t worry about the crying. You’re pretty either way.”
Either way. The tea doesn’t seem important anymore because your face is on fire.
Time reveals that Luke is right. He is a great cabin leader and a friend, and it’s hard to tell which he’s better at. You fall in with him right away. Soon enough, you’re drawn into your new life, so slowly you barely realize it’s happening. The days get shorter and you start wishing they were longer. The nights get easier. And when they’re not, Luke tucks you into his bunk and folds you in his arms until you drift off. You pick up a bow. A sword. Luke tells you to straighten your shoulders with a hand on the small of your back, and you swear it always lingers. You braid garlands of carnations for your cabin mates and they wear them with pride. It’s warm, your cheeks hurt from smiling, and things start to feel like home.
Until you’re claimed.
Now you’re a ghost in Hermes cabin, another empty bunk to be filled, and Luke stares at it until he can remember every last detail of what it looked like when it was yours. A beautiful, gentle daughter of Demeter, no longer in arms’ reach. He should’ve seen it coming.
He sees you with your siblings all the time. You’re so happy and he envies it. You belong there, he knows that, the way your face lights up at the dinner table and how you giggle when your half-sister presents you a flower. But sometimes your eyes wander, and something inside them dulls, until you look at him, too.
Luke’s place at camp is to be nothing but a funnel for lost campers to find their home. He’s a temporary stop in everybody’s journey. He’d made peace with it a long time ago. But here you are, messing it all up, because you still don’t leave him.
You beg him to give you another sword-fighting lesson. You sit next to him at bonfires. You pick him for partner camp activities. It doesn’t matter how many younger boys want to latch onto him for guidance—he sees you heading towards him, and he can’t imagine choosing anyone else.
But you’re always whisked away by your siblings, separated at meals and in sleep and in activities so it’s never, ever enough. Why did he delude himself into thinking you’d stay forever?
After weeks of distance from you, he’s elated when you have even a fraction of a conversation. “Hey, Luke!” You call out to him, and he finds you instantly. You’ve broken away from your siblings to get to him.
“Hey,” he smiles, and hopes he doesn’t look too pleased.
You lean a little towards his ear, and you smell like every wonderful thing in the world. “Can we hang out tonight? On the hill?” You’re a little bashful when you say it and it’s entirely endearing. Even now, you’re still so unsure. “I miss you.”
“I miss you too,” he says almost instantly, and it makes you look less nervous. “Yes. Absolutely. But don’t get caught breaking curfew now, you hooligan.”
Someone calls your name and you give a curt, playful nod. “Yes sir, camp counsellor sir!” He carries your laugh close to his heart until night falls.
You’re already there when he arrives, a vision in the moonlight before he even sees your face. “Hey, angel.”
When you turn around you look flustered. He won’t pretend like it doesn’t flatter him. “H—hi, uh, hello.”
There’s a moment where the world is still. The two of you, alone, for the first time in ages.
He sits down next to you, and it’s like the first time all over again. You get to talking, about your days, your anecdotes, your cabins. The strangeness of it all. “It’s so weird waking up in the morning and not having you yapping in my ear,” you remark, and he teasingly pushes your shoulder.
“Well, one of us has to be the talker, and it’s clearly not you,” he retorts.
You fiddle with blades of grass between your fingertips, weaving them together. “I’ll have you know I had a cabin-wide conversation about Capture The Flag yesterday, and I contributed greatly.”
“Oh, really?” He grins, knocking your elbow to steal your attention. “Look at you, coming out of your shell. I’m so proud.”
It’s hard to hold his gaze for more than a second. You’re afraid you’ll do something stupid if he keeps looking at you like that, but you almost want to. “Oh, shut up.”
He puts a hand on your shoulder. “No, I’m serious. I’m proud.” His eyes rake over your face. “You’re flourishing. You found your place.”
You can’t stop yourself from saying, “I kind of miss my old one.”
There’s a way he studies your expression that makes you feel utterly helpless. You wish you could dish it back to him, but you know you just look awestruck whenever you stare at him for so long. He’s quieter when he replies, “I miss it, too. A lot. Sometimes, I—” His face scrunches up like he just tasted something sour. “Nevermind.”
Frowning, you prod, “What? What is it?”
He sighs and turns to the horizon. This is the first time you’ve ever seen him struggle. “Sometimes, I wish you hadn’t been claimed. Sorry, that’s . . . that’s awful, I know.”
His surprise is evident when you say, “Sometimes I wish I wasn’t either.”
He turns back to you. “Really?”
“Really,” you nod, staring at the beads on his necklace. “You’re the only reason I’ve adjusted here at all.”
“Don’t sell yourself short.”
“It’s true. And I miss you.” A few months ago you would’ve kicked yourself for saying this. But Luke has a way of inspiring confidence in people.
“I miss you, too. So much.” He gently prys the grass you’ve been weaving out of your hands, now a small necklace. “But look at how talented you are. I’ll tell you, I’m lucky you’re still sticking around. For most people, Hermes is touch-and-go.”
Luke leans forward to tie the garland around your neck, and your pulse picks up. “This isn’t about Hermes, Luke,” you try to be firm but it comes out soft. “It’s about you.”
His hands stop fiddling and rest on your neck. When he speaks, you can feel his breath on you. And you have no idea that he’s been waiting to hear that his whole life. “What’s about me?”
It’s not fair, your inability to string sentences together only worsens right when a beautiful boy is this close to you. “Hermes isn’t—it’s not special because of your father, it’s special because of you.”
There is nothing else you can possibly think of saying with the way his fingers trace up your neck and hold your jaw. “Yeah, well,” he murmurs, “The only reason anything in my life is special is because of you.”
You don’t know if it’s a lie or not; you don’t care. His nose nudges yours. There’s a moment where you wonder if this is as close to Elysium you’ll ever get. Then he slips a hand to the back of your neck and pulls you to his mouth.
He kisses you in a near fury, then when he knows you’re not going anywhere, it’s the gentlest thing you know. It’s hard to believe this is even happening. Your hands weave through his curls but he holds you steady, and thank the Gods for that because you’re pretty sure you’re melting. You kiss again, and again, and again, until you genuinely think you’re going to pass out and you have to pull away.
“Aw, look at you,” he murmurs when you can’t meet his eyes, a playful lilt in his voice. “Still so nervous.”
“Would you shut up?” You press your face into the crook of his neck with a huge smile.
He kisses the top of your head. “Love to, angel.”
Luke Castellan is the son of a messenger. He’s supposed to believe he’s bringing the best of humanity to the Gods and glory above.
But screw the Gods. He’s keeping this one for himself.

Let Your Hair Down
I finished this in December of 2021 and somehow never posted it lol
----------
Fandom: Dragon Age: Origins
Ship(s): PRE - Alistair/Warden (F)
Characters (lee/ler): Lee!Warden/Ler!Alistair
Word Count: 2105 words
Summary: The group never took breaks, never lingered, never rested, never took a breath, always moving toward the next target. The only moment they slowed was in camp, and that was only with their bodies, not so much with their minds. Maybe they could all use some fun.
[ao3 link]
--------------------
The Warden shook some of the water from her hair with her hands, combing through it roughly with her fingers to get the worst tangles out before starting to pull it up into the style she usually wore it in. She flinched as a voice spoke behind her, despite the fact that she was normally far more aware of her surroundings than that.
“Don’t you ever leave your hair down?” Alistair asked.
Alistair did have a way of worming his way past her defenses.
“It’s more practical to wear up,” she replied, dropping her hands and letting her damp hair tumble down her back again. “Can’t exactly go around killing darkspawn with a curtain of hair in the way.”
He settled on the ground next to her where she had kneeled down by the fire, hoping for the heat to dry her hair faster. “Well, we aren’t killing darkspawn right now.” He tilted his head to the side. “Leliana wears her hair down to fight darkspawn.”
She rolled her eyes at him. “Leliana’s hair is shorter, and she’s an archer. Why do you want me to wear my hair down so badly?”
He cleared his throat, looking away from her. It was hard to tell by only the firelight, but she swore he looked a little red. She smothered a grin.
“I just– think it would look nice, is all,” he stammered out. “A nice change. Everyone needs a change every once in a while. Not that I’m telling you to change–”
She couldn’t help it anymore. She tossed her head back with a laugh. “Don’t strain yourself.”
He pouted at her. She grinned and leaned toward him, watching his eyes go wide, before ducking her head and shaking it. Her hair was still decently wet, and Alistair flinched back with a yelp, raising his hand to shield his face.
“Why are you wet?”
She rolled her eyes. “Because, Alistair. Some of us actually bathe.”
He put a hand over his heart. “Are you saying I smell? You know, I actually take offense to that.”
“Good,” she said. “Maybe it’ll actually get you to take a bath.”
“I do bathe!” Alistair said, reaching out to slide his hand up into the underside of her hair and shake it out. “You just… aren’t around when I go off to do that.”
She squeaked and jolted away from his hand, rolling her shoulders. She tried to save face and move right on, hoping Alistair wouldn’t mention it. “Really? When am I not around, Alistair.”
Unfortunately, Alistair was not fooled. “What was that?”
She rubbed the back of her neck, where the ghostly touch of his fingertips still lingered. “Nothing, don’t worry about it.”
Alistair grinned, leaning in a little. “Oh, come on, now. Aren’t we friends?”
She narrowed her eyes at him. “Something tells me you’ve already figured out what it was, and I will not subject myself to the embarrassment of telling you.”
He chuckled a little. “Come on, everyone’s at least a little ticklish. I bet even Sten is. There’s no reason to get so defensive about it.”
The Warden continued to glare at him, sliding slowly to the other side of the log.
“See, you look at me like that, but now I have the perfect tidbit of information to get you to smile.” He cocked his head at her. “Are you sure you don’t want to just give up now?”
She smirked at him. “Oh, Alistair. You should know by now. I never give up.”
She launched herself off the log, sprinting around the fire and toward the treeline. Her sudden movement unfortunately made their little tussle quite obvious to everyone else in camp, and she could feel their eyes on her. Glancing over her shoulder, the Warden saw Alistair close on her heels, fingers wiggling threateningly.
Yeah, there was no way their friends hadn’t figured out exactly what was going on already. Except maybe Sten. Were Qunari even capable of being ticklish? She shook the thought out of her head. She needed to focus.
Apparently, she caught herself too late. She tripped over something – an outstretched leg, likely, they weren’t close enough to the trees for her to have tripped over any roots (based on Leliana’s bright laughter nearby, the Warden had an idea of who it might have been) – and crashed to the ground. She didn’t bother trying to scramble up, instead she rolled over and started crab-walking backwards, one hand raised protectively in front of her.
“Alistair,” she said, a warning note in her voice.
He grinned down at her, his hands still raised in threatening claws, though his eyes softened. “If you ask nicely, I might be persuaded to have mercy.”
The Warden’s mouth twisted. He was giving her an easy out. She was going to get tickled either way, that was for certain now after they put on this whole show in front of everyone, but he was offering up mercy. The question was, did she want it.
They were in the middle of the end of the world. The Warden hadn’t gotten a decent night of sleep since she’d left home with Duncan, and she doubted many of her companions were having a good time of it, either. They never took breaks, never lingered, never rested, never took a breath, always moving toward the next target. The only moment they slowed was in camp, and that was only with their bodies, not so much with their minds.
Maybe they could all use some fun.
But only a little bit.
“You think I’m scared of you?” The Warden taunted. “You’re like a giant teddy bear. You think this is a threat?”
Alistair gave a low chuckle. “I’ll admit, I never had much time for practicing fun and games, what growing up in the Chantry and all, but you, my dear, should be very afraid.”
The Warden’s eyes widened as he lunged at her, and she tried to roll away. Alistair managed to catch her around the waist and pull her back, pinning her down to the grass underneath him. She tried to catch his hands and spared a moment to glance at his position, straddling her. She smirked.
“Maker, Alistair, buy a lady dinner first,” she said, and grinned when his face suddenly went bright red. He always made it too easy.
He started stammering excuses and apologies, and she managed to slip out from under him while he was busy being flustered. Despite all the teasing Morrigan dished out, Alistair wasn’t stupid, and he caught on to her plan the second she slipped out of his grip.
“Oh, you little minx,” Alistair called after her, and was chasing her again in an instant.
She wasn’t so quick, this time, too busy watching her feet and steering clear of their other companions to avoid falling again. Really, it was just to give her an excuse to be slower, to allow Alistair to catch up without being obvious about it. She was built to be quick and sneaky, he was built to stand strong and defend. If she didn’t give him the victory here, he may not have gotten it otherwise.
Alistair caught the Warden around the waist once more, tugging her back into his chest. She put up a struggle against his grip, and while she knew she could easily slip from it had she wanted to, she allowed him to wrap her tight in his arms, his fingertips resting just against the fleshy parts of her sides.
“Any last words?” He asked her.
The Warden made a show of giving a last few struggles against him. Then, she turned her head to glare up at him over her shoulder. “My revenge will be swift and unforgiving.”
Alistair just laughed at her, and then his fingers dug in and she was the one who was laughing. She started to fight his grip for real, then, but was just as unsuccessful as before, now that she was weakened from her laughter. She pushed back against his chest instead, as if that would in any way bring her further away from his fingers.
She could hear Zevran laugh nearby, closer to the fire. “My friend! How is it that none of us knew you were so ticklish?”
The Warden couldn’t move around much in Alistair’s grip, and she wasn’t going to waste the air she needed for her laughter on telling Zevran off. What she could do, however, was wrench one of her arms away from where she’d been trying to tug Alistair’s hands off of her and flip Zevran the bird. She heard him laugh once more.
Raising her arm turned out to be very much an incorrect choice, however, as Alistair immediately took the opening. His fingers dove into the newly exposed spot, wiggling and scratching away. The Warden shrieked and slammed her arm back down against her side, but it did nothing to protect her against the hand that was already there.
“Sorry,” Alistair said into her ear, “does that tickle?”
She squealed again and tried to twist her body out of his grip. She managed to get loose, and started to make another break for it, but Alistair was a lot more coordinated than her at the moment, considering he hadn’t just been the subject of a tickle attack. He grabbed her arm before she’d even taken two steps and pulled her back in, this time holding her so they were chest to chest.
At first, she thought it was a blessing. After all, it at least protected her stomach and a few other spots, right? But then, his hands started randomly skittering up and down the Warden’s back and a gasp tore from her throat. She burst into childish giggles, squirming every which way with no idea on how to escape. She didn’t even know she was ticklish on her back, let alone to this degree.
Alistair hummed, and she could feel the vibration through his chest. “You seemed the type,” he said, quietly enough to be only for her ears. “I had a friend in templar training who was ticklish here.”
She shook her head and buried her face into his chest, trying to muffle the embarrassing giggles into his shirt. The Warden laughed. The Warden laughed and chuckled and scoffed and huffed, but the Warden did not giggle. She could feel her face growing warm with her embarrassment, desperately trying to reach behind her to stop his hands, but she couldn’t reach. She pushed forward against his chest to try and lean away from his devious fingers, but he had no give in front of her, and his fingers easily followed every arch and jerk of her back.
She wondered if the option of mercy was still on the table.
“Please,” she ground out between her hysterical giggles, digging her fingers desperately into his shirt. “Alistair!”
He chuckled, and she flinched away from his breath on her ear. Even that was too ticklish for her, now. “First,” he said, “you have admit to me that you wanted this.”
She jerked in his grip. “What?!”
“Just to me,” he hummed. “But you think I don’t know what you look like when you’re actually fighting back, after all this time together?”
Well now her blush wasn’t just from the embarrassing giggling. She gave it another bout of fighting first, trying to tear herself out of his arms, but her legs could barely hold her up anymore, they were so shaky from her laughter. There was no possible way she was going to break free from this, not without Alistair letting her go.
“Fine!” She hissed, trying to keep her words quiet and lost in her giggling so that the rest of their companions wouldn’t hear. “Fine, I let you catch me!”
“Why?”
“I thought it would be fun! Alistair, come on!”
He chuckled and stopped his tickling, holding her tight when she sagged against him. She gripped at one of his arms, glaring up at him in warning.
“And was it?” He asked.
She twisted her lips, trying to force the involuntary smile off of them. “Maybe.”
She pulled herself out of his grip, reached up to tug the tangles out of her hair once more. Alistair dropped his arm around her shoulders and led them back toward the fire.
“Leave it down tonight?” He asked.
The Warden pursed her lips. “Fine. But just for tonight!” She danced out of his grip to flick Zevran on the ear for his teasing. “And Alistair?”
“Yes?” He asked, drawing out the word.
“Sleep with one eye open.”

You sat in your mother’s quarters, embroidery on your lap and a gentle melody humming from your lips. She was answering letters at her writing table while you reclined on her couch, enjoying the sudden breeze that had settled upon king’s landing and blew through her open windows. Occasionally you looked up to Ser Criston, standing stoic as ever by the door, and offered him a joyful little smile, one which he returned in his own muted way.
Since you were born, you have been your mother’s constant companion. From her breast to her lap to her side, you have spent almost your entire life beside her. You are her youngest child, the apple of her eye by far, and the one that looks most like her. When you cried, she was the only one to comfort you, when you showed an interest in music, she had the best musicians come to foster your talent, when you said you wanted to learn history, she had as many books as would fit in your chambers brought from the library. You may be half Targaryen, but you will always be Alicent’s daughter.
Due to being your mother’s constant companion, you soon became one for Ser Criston as well. Alicent trusted no guard more than Ser Criston and so he often had the task of being your carer. He has soothed your tears and washed your cuts when you’ve played too hard. He has tickled you until your laughs became shrieks and been the first to compliment every single one of your new dresses. You have grown up watching Ser Criston be your mother’s protector, be your protector. When you think of safety, you think of his face. So it makes sense that when you look upon his face as he watches out the window, a stoic set to his lips and brow, that your chest heats up and an errant throb pangs between your legs?
You don’t really remember when you started feeling this way for him. You vividly remember one night, a feast for some celebration or other, and your mother had gifted you a new dress made of silk dyed in thin red water to make the prettiest baby pink. The maids had done your hair with intricate braids and curls that fell down your back but left your neck and chest exposed. You had rushed out of your room and found Ser Criston first, hopping in front of him to show off the dress. You had spun around in excitement, swishing the skirt of your dress back and forth and asking him what he thought. He had said you were the most beautiful girl in the world with a smile on his face and those dark eyes of his that never truly softened and kept a certain harsh quality to them. Your whole chest had turned red and your stomach had twisted in the most pleasurable way and you had wanted him to watch you for the rest of eternity. Even during the feast you had kept standing by him despite your siblings scolding you to mingle, pouting like a child if he turned his attention away from you for even a minute.
Another memory, only a few years past, when Aegon had said something to upset you and you had come sobbing to your mother. After soothing your tears she had left you in her quarters under the watchful eye of Ser Criston to go and scold Aegon. You had sidled up to him, asking if whatever taunt Aegon had made was true. He had been quick to shush you, telling you that Aegon was a young man and he could still be stupid, that you needn’t take everything he said to heart. You had pressed yourself to his chest then, wrapping your arms around the armour on his midriff. He had gently rubbed your back for a few moments before clearing his throat and pulling away, guiding you back to the couch and bringing you whatever embroidery project you had left on the side table. But the feeling of his large hand on your back, his palm and fingers spanning so wide, his smell and even the look of his skin from so close had stuck inside your mind and body and you had tossed and turned that entire night to thoughts of him.
You startled out of your thoughts of the man when your mother abruptly stood from her chair, tutting as she mumbled to herself about the time. You knew she was overdue to tea with Larys Strong so you smiled cheekily at her as she breezed past you, pressing a kiss to your head before heading to the door.
“Ser Criston, stay here with Y/n, I shall take Ser Berrill with me to my meeting,” and she was out the door before Criston could nod his assent.
You smiled then, looking to where Ser Criston stood and abandoning your embroidery to skip over to him. He smiled at you, bowing his head in greeting and you giggled. Criston didn’t know when that had become his favourite sound in the world but it was better than even the Septon bells on a wedding day.
“I think I shall head back to my quarters Ser Criston, accompany me?” You asked, reaching to grab his arm and threading yours through his. Criston cleared his throat and nodded, his neck and cheeks going hot at the feeling of your body pressed so close to his side. It was inappropriate for a girl of your age and stature to be standing so close to him. But you had been doing this all your life, and despite the whispers that now began to pervade the keep about this behaviour, you refused to stop. (And of course Ser Criston was incapable of saying no to you).
Criston opened the door and led the way out into the hallway, walking slow enough for you to keep pace with him. You were chattering on about something or other, he was too busy surveying your surroundings to fully pay attention, and the glimpse of your breasts that he caught every time he looked down to you was enough for him to keep his eyes away from your form completely.
“...and that’s why Aemond has cemented his place as my favourite brother.” You giggled and he couldn’t help but look down to you again, smiling distractedly when he caught sight of the way your breasts curved under your emerald green gown, at the slight bumps of your nipples that he could see through the fabric.
“He is a true prince of the realm and a great brother for you, Princess,” Criston answered, hoping it would be enough of an answer for you. You smiled and nodded and began on another story but stopped as you reached the doors to your chambers. You paused outside the door, opening and closing your mouth a few times. You chewed at the tip of the nail on your index finger and looked up at Criston with big doe eyes that had his entire body clenching up.
“Ser Criston… would you come into my chambers with me? I don’t particularly feel like being alone right now.” You were twisting side to side at the waist lightly, hoping he would cave.
“I do not think that is appropriate Princess,” he replied quietly, voice going low and gruff.
“Please, Ser Criston? There is nothing wrong with my protector joining me in my chambers,” you argued, eyes going teary.
“Princess…” he sighed, shaking his head. “We may know we are not doing anything scandalous but others will not know. I will not be responsible for anyone questioning your honour.” You sighed, almost admitting defeat, before looking up at him once more.
“What if there is someone in there right now, waiting to destroy my honour? Then it would be irresponsible of you not to accompany me into my chambers,” you smiled triumphantly, before quickly pouting again when you remembered that cheekiness would not work in your favour.
“Do not speak of such things Princess,” he replied sharply, swallowing aggressively at the thought of someone daring to come close to you with those intentions.
“Then do not risk it Ser Criston and accompany me into my chambers,” you huffed, crossing your arms over your chest. Criston sighed once more before nodding in acquiescence. He knew you would always win, it was only a matter of how long he was willing to fight against you.
You smiled brightly and grabbed onto his arm, dragging him into the room with you and shutting the door firmly behind you, sliding the lock closed before Criston could even realise you had done it.
You leaned back against the door and watched him stand in the middle of the room, looking around the entire room before deeming it safe for you. He turned back to you and saw the mischievous smile on your face before sighing once more.
“The room is safe Princess, I must return to my guardpost now,” he said, but he knew it would be easier said than done leaving now that he was inside. You just shook your head, continuing to block the door.
“But I don’t feel safe Ser Criston, you must stay and continue protecting me,” you whined, rushing forward and falling to your knees right in front of him. You clasped one of his hands between yours and pouted as he began trying to get you to stand up. If someone walked in now and saw the princess on her knees in front of a knight, he would be sent to death quicker than he could pray for forgiveness.
“Stand up Princess, please, you should not be on the floor,” he sounded pained, holding onto your elbows and trying to get you to stand without yanking you up. You just shook your head and did something that made his heart stop directly in his chest. You brought his hands to your lips and gently kissed the backs of both, staring up at him from under fluttering eyelashes.
“This is exactly where I should be, Ser Criston. You have protected me my entire life, you have cared for me like no other, loved me like no other. I am devoted to you even beyond the gods. It is only right that I show you my devotion, show you my thanks, right here on my knees.” All breath abandoned him as he looked upon you, innocent and pure, on your knees with your face right by his cock. He swallowed harshly, shaking his head. No, no, no. He could not do this. He had abandoned his vows once already. And while he wholeheartedly believed that if he abandoned them with you then it wouldn’t be a waste as it had been with Rhaenyra, the thought of sullying you, of allowing himself to feel all that… heat and desperation, filled him with a shame that would eventually kill him.
“Princess, please heed my words, you cannot do this, we cannot do this. You say I have protected you my entire life, and it is from this too I have protected you. From the men who wish to steal your honour and sully your body. I will not be one of them.” He wanted to sound firm but it came out pleading, almost verging on a desperate whine that had you frowning and tilting your head.
“I only want you, Ser Criston. I don’t want any other, and I know I never will. You have never denied me anything, please do not deny me this,” your lip began to wobble and tears pooled so quickly in your eyes that they began to spill over before he could try and sway you away. You began to blubber and he dropped to his knees awkwardly in his armour,
“Please don’t cry Princess, please don’t cry,” he begged, throwing off his gloves and cupping your face with his hands as you began to sniffle. His skin was rough and warm and you rubbed your cheek into his palm like a puppy.
“You will not be sullying me, you will still be protecting me. If you do this for me then I will know what love feels like and I will know how to judge a suitor. I-I will know what pleasure feels like,” you added shyly, leaning closer to him. “You will only be teaching me. There is nothing wrong with teaching, you have been teaching me and my brothers since we were children.”
Criston sighed and shook his head, grunting at the battle that waged a war in his head. He closed his eyes, knowing that if he kept looking at you he would break much too quickly. He shouldn’t be feeling like this for you. He shouldn’t be feeling like this for anyone. It was wrong to be such a lustful creature. But you whimpered and whined in his hands, turning to press open-mouthed kisses against his palms and he could feel the cracks appearing in his resolve along with his shame. When you took his index finger into your mouth, sucking on it like a child with a treat, the feeling of your warm, wet, mouth had spikes of hot pleasure shooting through his body and any remaining resolve dissolving as easier than salt into water.
Criston moaned, too loud for his liking, and his breath shook out of him, head bowing as he panted against his chest. You could see the change in him, could see that you had won as his free hand began to roughly tug at the straps of his chestplate. It fell away and clattered onto the floor as you continued sucking on his finger, swirling your tongue around the digit. Criston sucked in a breath before pulling his finger from your mouth, cupping your cheek with the same hand and spreading your spit over your face. He pulled you into a kiss, a harsh thing that had you gasping and keening and yelping slightly when your bottom lip pinched between his mouth and your teeth. But all bonds on him had been unleashed, and he was ravenous.
You fell against him, becoming just as desperate though with far less experience. You shoved your hands into his hair and pressed your chest to his, settling yourself onto his lap as he fell back onto the floor, torso held up by his elbows. He plunged his tongue into your mouth while you collected your skirts into your hands so you could sit on him without any intrusion. Criston pulled away from you, panting against your mouth for a moment before gently shoving you off and standing up again. He began undoing the rest of his armour and you sat on your knees and watched him. His hair was mussed from your hands and his cheeks had gone rosy pink. You heard the clanks of metal as each piece fell away and more of his body was revealed to you. The soft clothes he wore underneath were next, his shirt pulled over his head and tossed to the side without a care in the world.
The soft bronze skin of his abdomen was taut and curved along each defined muscle. A light dusting of dark hair sat along his chest and trailed down his stomach until it disappeared below his breeches. You couldn’t handle being away from him any longer, a desperate heat crawling over your skin as if bugs had begun buzzing under your skin.
You shuffled forward on your knees until you were right before him. You pressed a hand to the warm skin of his stomach, lightly scratching your nails down toward the waist of his pants. He shuddered, curling forward slightly and resting a hand on your shoulder.
“Princess…” he sighed, but he didn’t stop you either.
You slipped your fingers into the waistband and slowly began to move it down. His cock caught in it before popping out and gently slapping against his abdomen. You stared at it, mouth suddenly full of saliva and legs trembling. You reached out and grasped it, the skin soft and burning hot. The tip was bright red and glistening, a small pearl dribbling out of it and sliding down the length. Another pearl dribbled onto your hand and you tightened your hold on him, listening to the gasps and moans he let out. You didn’t know where the desire to kiss it, to lick it, came from but you didn’t deny a single thing your body desired. You leaned forward and licked just under the head of his cock, smacking your lips slightly to try and decipher what exactly the taste was, before going in for another lick. You ran your tongue up the length of his shaft and back down. The hand on your shoulder clenched tight into your gown and pulled you closer to him. You opened your mouth wide and took the head just past your lips, suckling on it. You stared up into Criston’s face, his mouth open as he panted and moaned like he was in the most pain a man had ever felt. The sounds of your mouth smacking as you suckled on his cock echoed into the room and you rubbed your legs together. It sounded so wrong but oh so good.
You pulled off of his length before going back to drag long licks along the length of his shaft. Everywhere you could reach you licked until Criston was keening loudly and pulling away.
“Princess! Princess, please,” he huffed, cupping your face as you sat there staring up at him. You reached to your back and pulled on the ties to unlace your dress as much as you could on your own. The top loosened and the collar fell below your breasts, baring them to the cool air and the eyes of your protector. Your nipples had pebbled and you shivered as the cool air of the keep brushed over your skin.
Criston stood you up and you allowed the dress to fall fully to your waist, smiling unashamedly as he continued to stare at your body. You wanted him to see you, to see every part of you. You loved him like you had loved no other, and you wanted to show him somehow. He led you to your bed, sitting on the edge and staring up at you. He bent forward and kissed the space between your breasts, rubbing his cheeks against the flesh on either side of his head. He breathed in the smell of your skin, kissing along the softness to your left nipple. He swirled his tongue over it, flicking it, before engulfing it with his mouth and sucking lightly. His mouth felt too hot against your skin and you moaned as you leaned back slightly to continue watching him.
Criston pulled away and cupped your other breast, massaging it and rubbing the nipple with the pad of his thumb. It felt almost ticklish on the sensitive skin but sparks shot through you all the same.
“Ser Criston,” you whimpered, pressing your chest further into his hand and hoping he would put his mouth back to the skin.
“Yes, Princess, yes,” he said hurriedly, but instead of returning to your breasts, he bent at the waist and brought his face to your pussy. You gasped, his thumbs resting against either side and peeling your sticky lips apart.
You had felt the slick begin to seep out of you and slowly spread from your hole and over your lips, but to see his face begin to press between your thighs, to feel his thumbs gently rub the soft skin and hear the way he inhaled deeply as he settled his chin on the crevice of your thighs had you moaning louder than you ever had before.
“We must be quiet Princess,” he whispered, but you paid it no heed as he dove his tongue between your thighs right then.
His tongue was hot and wet, the rough bumps rubbing deliciously against the sensitive skin of your pussy. He licked from bottom to top before focusing on a little nub near the top of the crevice, suckling on it so heat shot straight through you and your legs buckled. You were bowing over him now, nails digging into the skin of his back as you rested on his shoulder, panting and wailing. He lapped at your cunt like a dog drinking water, desperate and aggressive. He slurped and pressed his face as far as it would go into your flesh. You could feel his chin rub against the skin of your thighs, slipping and sliding in the juices that had dribbled out of you. From this angle only the tip of his tongue could reach your hole and he pushed it in just so, pulling it out and pushing it back in so your entrance clenched and unclenched over it, the rim becoming sensitive.
“Ser Criston!” You wailed, bucking against his face as he moved it back and forth, his nose rubbing against that swollen little nub that made you feel like the world was bursting behind your eyes.
You pressed your mouth to his back, and in a fleeting moment of clarity remembered that he needed to reach his release as well. You slid one of your hands between your bodies and grasped his cock, choking on a gasp when he moaned right into your flesh and the vibrations spread through every nerve ending. You grasped him tighter and he hissed. You mumbled apologies into his skin before beginning to jerk your hand back and forth along his shaft, listening to the squelch of not only his mouth on your pussy but his cum spreading over his shaft beneath your hand. The pleasure rose within you, his hips bucked frantically up into your hand, your legs twitched uncontrollably, your skin was on fire. Everything felt like it was moving too fast all of a sudden, a wave rising in your legs and stomach and deep in your core. He was moaning against you and the vibrations finally sent you over the edge, heat and overwhelming pleasure throbbing through you. Your fingers twitched and your arms felt like jelly and your ears were rushing with blood. You couldn’t hear Criston’s moans as he spurted onto your thighs and hands, as he pressed his face to your stomach and moaned.
When your ears quieted you could hear the mingling of both of your panted breaths, could feel the saliva that had drooled from your mouth and smeared onto his back under your cheek. Your weight was completely resting over his shoulder and you could feel the stickiness all along your thighs, the breeze beginning to cool it and sending shivers down your spine. Your hand was sticky and you slowly peeled it away from his cock. Criston shivered and slowly brought you off his shoulder and into his lap. You stared into his eyes, deep brown and endless. He leaned down and kissed you, lips salty and slick.
“Thank you, Ser Criston,” you said, smiling against his mouth.

Troublemaker | Daemon x reader
Tumblr media
Summary: the three times Daemon is harassed by a tiny toddler.
Warning: Age gap of around 10 years between reader and Daemon. Furthermore, Daemon did not marry Lady Rhea Royce.
93 AC
At two and ten Daemon Targaryen had escaped his teacher. instead he preferred to spend his day underneath the Weirwood tree. The young prince was laying at the root of the tree with arms underneath his head while sleepily looking up at the sky. Somewhere he can hear one of his teachers call out to him. Without doubt wanting to enrich him with an ancient batter or the doom of old Valyria. Something he had learned about a thousand times. This morning has already been filled with sword fighting and while he rather would have ridden his dragon Caraxes he knew sneaking out the Dragon pit would be almost impossible. God knows what his brother Viserys was doing, and he was not really planning on finding out as his brother was probably going to snitch him to his teacher anyway.
Something was tugging on his hair and annoyed he hoped his eyes looking around for the culprit that had interrupted his nap. With a frown on his forehead, he looks at the tiny toddler sitting content at his side. Their little plump fingers going through his hair and occasionally give a sharp tug. Other than the two of you the Godwoods is empty. No nursemaid or servant to be found. The little one was babbling content noises. Judging by the snit of her dress the little toddler was not a servant’s babe but a child of one of the noble ladies residing in the keep.
He tried to ignore the toddler and closed his eyes again. It is not his responsibly to take care of a little girl that what the servants are for. A screech interrupted his rest once again and his eyes quicky found the little one once again. This time you were crawling away from him towards the table underneath the roofed area. The table was covered with a long cloth, hanging of the edge of table almost to the ground, the table was decked with silverware and set for a quick lunch. He knew the curiosity of toddlers and while you had crawled your way there, judging you age he knew you were old enough to be learning how to stand so he made his way towards you quickly. For such a little thing you were quick and had almost reached the table. He carefully scooped you up, but your little fist had managed to grip on to the tablecloth and with Daemons motion of scooping you up you had managed enough force to pull the silverware from the table.
The silverware was clattering to the ground around Daemons feet, wine, and food clinging to his clothing. He groaned but to your amusement the sound of the silverware and his frustration made you giggle. A soft and innocent sound which Daemon had to admit made his heart melt. “Oh, you are enjoying this, little troublemaker.” His voice made an adorable smile spread on your face and he softly tickled you to make you laugh again. He swung you around back to the tree to sit down and keep you out of harm’s way.
The sound of the silverware clattering to the ground had attracted maids and other public to see what was happening. As the maids were quickly and quietly cleaning up the mess you had made. A woman came running in. She let out a sign of relief when noticing you. Her color of her hair and eyes matched yours and Daemon was positively that it was your mother. “Oh, my baby.” The woman exclaimed while quickly gathering you into her arms. The little toddler did not seem to like being ripped out of Daemons embrace, who you had considered to be your friend as the toddler started frowning and making grabbing hands towards him. “I am sorry for the trouble she has caused my prince.” The woman apologized quietly while soothing her daughter. Who’s lip was starting to wobble. “Next time do not let her out of someone’s sight as she might not be so lucky.” He scolded the woman, which he recognized as one of the ladies of a noble house who had just arrived at court for the festivities.
“Of course, my prince, thank you for watching over her.” The lady made a courtesy towards him. Daemon only nodded and walked past the woman with all intention to make haste and find new place to relax but your baby talk made him halt. He turned around towards you and with his index finger lightly fluttered over your little face. “She is a troublemaker that one.” And with that he took his leave.
___
A few weeks later he was walking towards the courtyard to practice some sword fighting when he noticed a presence behind him. He looked over his shoulder and abruptly stopped when he saw you waddling behind him. “Ah the little troublemaker has mastered walking.” He said to the little toddler. Unbeknownst to him the door of the room you and your family was occupying was left open and when seeing him walking past you had seen your chance and followed him. You made grabby hands at him, and he saw that as a sign to pick you up. Content of being in his arms your hand grabbed at his long hair.
“Och, little one let’s not do that.” He untangled his hair from your little hands but as soon as he freed his hair out of your grip your hands were back into his hair. He simply gave up and continued his way towards the courtyard where the training sessions were held. Along the way ignoring the glances of the people around him.
His sword fight teacher raised an eyebrow when he saw the young prince come his way with the small toddler in his arms but said nothing. Only looked on in amusement when Daemon carefully sat the toddler down on a bench gave you a wooden dagger to play with, to keep you occupied and distracted. “She is a troublemaker that one.” Was the only thing the prince acknowledged about the toddler before focusing on the training. Somewhere in the middle of the training a maid who had been sent to look for you had taken you away. Which had resulted in your cries echoing across the courtyard displeased with being taken away while you had been playing with the wooden dagger and had been watching Daemon train with wide eyes of amazement. Daemon almost had snatched you out of the hands of the maid when your disagreement with the situation had made itself known. But decided against it as you were not family of him. His eyes followed the form of the maid who quickly carried you away.
___
Two months later he was properly introduced to the little toddler it was the name day of your older brother. His father, Viserys and he had made his way towards the garden where the party was held. His father properly introduced his brother and him to the family, and your mother stumbled over her words as she properly met the prince still aware of the time, he had scolded her for not watching her child.
The royal family had sat down on the provided chairs which were placed around the garden for the parents to be able to socialize and the children to run around and play. As soon as your little eyes had found him you had made your way towards him. Daemon had not noticed you sneaking up on him until you were tugging at his clothes. Your mother tried to distract you but to no avail. “Y/N, baby come here” You had only looked briefly towards your mother before again tugging these times more urgently at his clothes. Daemon looked down at you, the same smile on your little face as when he had first met you and again his heart melted. He picked you up and sat you in his lap.
From there you had a great view and was watching other kids play around you while also sheepishly eyeing up the cakes standing on the table. Daemon quickly took notice of the cakes when he saw you attempting to crawl on the table. “Ah see your little trouble side is coming out again.” He spoke quietly to you making sure his brother could not jest him about talking to a toddler. You let out an adorable giggle at the sound of his voice and again tried to move closer to the cakes. “You just can not help it, can you?” Daemon kept an arm around your stomach to make sure you did not fall or lose balance before plating one of the cakes onto a plate and putting it in front of you. A little scream came from your mouth as the little cake you had been eyeing was now in front of you.
Without much hesitation your hands grabbed the cake and brought it to your mouth. You leaned against Daemon with the cake in your hands clearly content with your position. Daemon let out a soft groan because of the crumbs that were falling onto his clothes. Your mother had given up on trying to coax you away from the prince. With a full belly and a comfortable position, you had quickly fallen asleep in Daemons arms. However, every time when your mother would try to lift you out of Daemons arms and give you to one of the maids. You would stir and start whining which ended up with Daemon being annoyed with your mother and telling her you were fine in his arms. He ignored his brother who was trying to stifle his laugh across from him at the table clearly finding it amusing how much his brother was wrapped around the toddler little finger.
In the end Daemon was the one who had carried you back to the castle. Nobody allowed to get you out of his arms. He loved the feeling of that responsibility, caring for you was slowly but surely one of his favorite things. While his brother was jesting that you had imprinted on him like a little baby rabbit. Daemon could only relinquish in the feeling that you had chosen him to do so.
Slowly he placed you in your bed. He brushed your baby hairs before leaving the room without another glance. Missing the little smile that graced your lips even in your sleep.

111 AC
Daemon was nervously tugging at the collar of his jacket while looking around the great hall trying to not meet the eye of a single spectator. The great hall was transformed into a magical place where the wedding ceremony was going to take place. Sun light was lighting up the room making the golden and white wand decorations handing from the walls shine. Flowers were wrapped around the columns and the tacitly pleased around the room. You had planned it out to the last detail even the broach on which tied the cape and his jacket together.
You had gifted it to him last night. It was a golden dragon midflight with its wings stretched out. It was unlike the Targaryen crest, and he had never been gifted something this thoughtful. For its eye was a single ruby. “For the color of Caraxes scales.” You had proudly stated while pinning it to his wedding attire so that it would all be ready for tomorrow. Like he said you had planned everything. Before he could properly thank you, you had all but ran out the room. Screaming back at him that he would have to wait one more night.
Once again, he roams the space, and his eyes briefly meet your parents. While he practically had to beg your dad for your hand your mother was already wiping her tears away. Your father was a little less pleased as he glared at Daemon with a stoic face. Your father was not a fan of the 10 years age gap, as well reputation of rogue prince. However very much like Daemon you had both of them wrapped around your finger from a verry young age. Every marriage proposal you had rejected in favor of this one. After all you had dreamed about this wedding for ages and what you want you would get even if your dad was not totally aboard with it. As a father he had his concerns and Daemons reputation did not paint him in a favorable light.
The music starts playing and Daemon shifts his attention to the big heavy doors. The doors are opened by two knights and within seconds you are making you way down the rows of people. You were wearing a heavily decorate golden gown with flowers and little stars on it. The trail of wedding dress is in a long trail behind you, shifting the flowers that mark the path towards the altar on the ground slightly. In your hair is a grand diadem set with rubies and diamonds. Around your neck is a necklace set with stones where part of it drops downs and settles between the valley of your breast. The necklace together with the drop earrings was his engagement gift for you. You had only worn them once before showing them off at their engagement feast before locking them up and saving them for your wedding day.
You had almost reached the altar and Daemon reached out his hands to help you up it. You looked like a goddess with the sunlight warming your face and making your dress sparkle. You take his hands in yours and squeeze it to reassure yourself that this is all happening, and it is not just a dream. The maids in charge of the trail delicately place it around you when you stand in front of your soon to be husband before they take a step back. The septon comes forwards and hushes the crowd. You smile nervously at him, as if you had only just noticed the crowd.
“Who is giving away the bride?” the septon asks. “I am!” your father voices bellows through the sept. He climbs the stairs of the altar and slowly takes of the beautiful made cloak in your house colors. The cloak is heavily decorated and reaches all the way to the floor. “You sure about this honey, we can still make a run for it.” Your father tries to joke but you see the emotion in his eyes. “Yes father, he is the man I want to marry.” You sneak a glance at Daemon who is tense, clearly having heard the conversation and you father offering you a way out. Your father only nods a response before kissing your forehead and returning to stand next to your mother.
“Now who is to claim her?” Daemon reaches out to the servant who is holding his cloak. As he unfurls the cloak the crowd gasps at the sight of the cloak. The cloak was of a black fabric and looked velvety of texture. The dragon was made from red thread but in the light of the sun it seemed to reflect and glimmer. Just as your house cloak this one reached the ground as well. the chain that would hold the cloak around your shoulders was made of gold and the clasp was another dragon quite similar to the broach Daemon was wearing. He now understood why you were persistent on that dragon.
He stepped closer to you and your usually scent invaded his senses. He smiled at you and carefully wrapped the cloak around you before fasting it. His finger ghosted over the rounding of your breast before he dutifully stepped a step back. keeping the appropriate distance between the two of you. “With the exchange of cloaks, the bride has passed from the protection of her father into her husband’s protection.” The septon declares before moving to take up the wine cup.
He leads the prayer and blesses the cup before giving it to Daemon. Without breaking eye contact Daemon takes a sip out of the cup. tasting the bitter taste of the wine before swallowing it. He takes the cup to your lips and tentatively tilts it so you can take a sip out of it. “Let this wine be the first of many things they will share between them,” The septon once again declares before taking the cup away.
The septon then gestures for the bride and groom to take each other’s hands. “Repeat after me.” Daemon for the first time during the ceremony looks at the septon and from the corner of his eye he sees you doing the same. “With this kiss I pledge my love and take you for my lady and wife.” Daemons eyes are back on yours while he repeats the septon. “With this kiss I pledge my love and take you for my lady and wife.” You feel your cheeks warm at his words and can’t help but look at the way his lips move while speaking his vows. The septon now turns to you. “With this kiss I pledge my love and take you for my lord and husband.” Without hesitation you repeat the words and intuitive take a step forwards. Daemon places his hand up your waist.
“Then in the power invested in me by the faith of the seven I declare you man and wife as they are one flesh, one heart, one soul now and forever and may they live a long and fruitful live.” Before the septon has even finished his speech Daemon pulls you into his chest. Your hand bracing for the impact lays on his chest. With his free hand he tilts your chin upwards and presses his lips against you. The world around you goes silent, no longer are you hearing the clapping of the invited lords and ladies. Your whole attention and senses are dedicated to the prince in your arms. A prince you can now proudly call yours. You feel his free hand roam its way down to your butt. The Septon clears his throat obviously uncomfortable at the sight of that and reluctant Daemon ends the kiss. “You are stuck with me, little troublemaker.” You smile up at him blissfully still in his warm embrace. “I would not have it any other way.”

"It's beautiful isn't it?" Lilia's words only made the man by his side groan. They were both beings of the night. Period. No need to explain just how uncomfortable he was. No matter how mesmerizing the colorful flowers aligned by each windowsill looked, nor how the sun brightened the streets and further empathized each of the bystanders' smiles, he couldn't stand them. They were everything that he wasn't, the exact opposite of what he had known and experienced his entire life, of what he needed the most; a new beginning, joyful laughters and an undying happiness paired with the feeling of fullness.
"The longer I stay here, the more repulsive they become." The soldier sighed at his words and disapprovingly shook his head from side to side, although it looked more like he was annoyed by the prince than anything else. But the dragon couldn't see it as he tried to avoid the petals flying around while spitting the one that had already gotten into his mouth. He wasn't one to curse, but the heavy sweet smell of the pollen filled street tickling his nose threatened him to do so.
"Malleus, we came here to observe the tradition of humans. Having a new outlook on life can only benefit you." The fae said as he stopped next to a merchant who handed two ice-cream cones after he had given them 2 silver coins. The dragon was soon to become the next king of Briar Valley and all Faes as whole. But with the secluded life he had had to live through, Lilia could only wonder if so few experiences in life could properly let him have a peaceful reign. "You need to see more whilst you're still young." He then handed one of the ice-cream cones to the prince who reluctantly took it.
"I do not see how prying into the mortals' life and customs will help my impending rule." This once again made his caretaker sigh as he shook his head from side to side. This would prove to be more difficult than what he expected if he didn't soon find anything that could possibly catch the attention of the boy. A surprised huff was taken out of him as he was suddenly stopped by a kid who collided with him.
The man merely smiled as he pushed all of his hair, some locks dyed in a blood red, onto one of his shoulders and knelt down. He reminded him of the young child he had taken under his care not long ago — he had actually taken him when he was a newborn, and he was already around six, which wasn't exactly a "long time ago", and with a deep chuckle, he took the child from under his armpits and set him on his feet before dusting him off. While the kid was still confused, he continued to make sure that he wasn't hurt by the fall, his father like instincts pushing him to do so —although he didn't mind as he still kept a smile up as to not scare the child. "Where were you running at so fast? It's dangerous to run around in a crowd." The kid nodded but was clearly excited and impatient as he was fidgeting more than one his age was supposed to.
"It'll start soon!" He rocked on the back of his feet as he was trying not to peek above the man's shoulders to see if the oh so expected event of the year had started. "The Battle of the Spring Queen!"
Lilia perked up at that. He let the kid go without further questions, only giving a playful "be careful" and his ice cream in exchange of the promise that he shouldn't run in the streets anymore or at least be more attentive, before getting up and dusting his clothes off.
"I thought humans were pacifists as of today. Why would Queens fight?" The fae laughed at that under the annoyed gaze of his younger fellow. Oh, he sure had missed a lot, hidden in this castle of his! Maybe that he should ask Maleficia for permission to take Malleus out more often. He eventually calmed down as he removed the tears threatening to fall from the sudden laughter that took over him.
"Of course it's no battle per say." He hummed as Malleus was patiently waiting for the rest of the answer while passing his tongue over the cool dessert. It wasn't often that he received ice cream, and one from Lilia was cherished even more, so he tried not to eat it in one go out of excitement. "Each year for spring, they hold a dance contest of sorts, where the winner becomes the Spring Queen for a year."
"Just dancing?" Humans were fighting by dancing now? They were more peculiar than he had given them credit for.
"Of course I said dancing, but it's not something that simple." When they arrived at the town center, Lilia easily pushed through the crowd with his small size to reach the front as the prince struggled to follow him. At Lilia's request, he had hidden his horns to avoid a mayhem among these mortals, but right now he wished he hadn't because the annoyed looks he received were slowly boiling his blood with how much they annoyed him. "I've heard that it can take years to perfect it. And— Ah! Just on time!"
The dragon fae eventually arrived beside his caretaker and looked unimpressed at the rows of women standing in the middle of the town center. They had all formed many circles, the smallest inside and the others extending to be bigger the farther it was from the center, around a maypole and all had a ribbon in their hand. The white dresses they all wore nearly made him cringe, it was all too bright and the sun rays bouncing back on them and into his eyes tenfold this sentiment. Even the crown of flower resting on their head and the embroidered fabric attached to it and hiding their face from the onlookers was almost too much. Should he just go back? But then Lilia would be disappointed in him and he feared the distress it would bring him more than anything.
A voice loudly announced from within the public the start of the competition and the musicians started playing a folk tune right after, hurdy-gurdy, tabors and flutes becoming one. Lilia pushed the tip of his elbow against Malleus' arm to catch his attention at the same time. "That's what we came to see." The women all lifted their hands up, wrists decorated with a mix of flowers that the dragon had a hard time trying to recognise, before slowly turning on themselves with the soft and sluggish tempo of the melody. "This is one of the few traditions humans inherited from us."
Slowly picking up speed, they followed suit. They each took a step to the side as they continued to turn on themselves. Each row was rotating to different sides which created an eye-catching show as the fabrics all flew around the more the rhythm grew to be frenetic.
The pace of the song eventually arrived to the point where it was hard catching up to it, and soon enough someone fell. She looked rather frail as her face was finally unveiled from when her flower crown had flown away. Stumbling, falling on one another they all smiled, their no longer hidden bright eyes only making the public even more excited. The orchestra suddenly stopped, and so did the women. But it picked up just as fast and they all spinned to the other side with linked arms. "Oh this is the moment. I forgot to ask, Malleus, do you want to join them?"
He looked at him incredulously as more women fell to the point that the remaining upright had to jump over the bodies to continue. But he didn't get to answer as he was pushed forward, more men following behind him. Lilia was surprised by the sudden rush and merely managed to take Malleus' ice cream as he was soon too far for him to hear him. He didn't expect something like this to happen, hopefully he'll manage his way out of this predicament he had accidentally found his way in. Or he could partake in it which would please him more than the other option.
The dragon looked back to his caretaker, but before he could react, someone had taken him by the crook of his arm and twirled with him closer to the center of the dance which only further widened the distance between them. He couldn't back out now, he was surrounded by the town folks, dizzy and the dance had also become more complex and he knew he would bump into someone if he decided to walk out of the dance.
One moment they were linked to one another, the next his partner had left him as a new one jumped into his arm now hopping and spinning with him. And just as fast, she left him and he was once again handed over to someone else.
He didn't like it, being passed around like, what he could compare as, a mere toy. Swirling on the same spot with little to no rest as he felt the ice cream he had eaten slowly climbing its way up his throat. He couldn't see it from how blurry and loud everything was, but there were only a few people left standing, enough duo that he could count them with only a hand. He was strong on his feet, due to his fae nature, unlike all the others who would fall from the sheer speed their new partners came at them with. He was the center of the attention, everyone watching carefully how this stranger had imposed himself as the one anchor needed for the winner.
He broke out of his haze for a mere second as he had finally locked eyes with Lilia who still had his dessert in hand. But he could only make out a few words from his stretched lips "It feels like we'll have a surprise this year. Aren't you lucky fufufu~" before his new partner brought him back to the current situation at hand. Much to his surprise, unlike all the others that had a deathly and uncaring grip on his shoulder and arm, she turned out to be more conscious about his uneasiness.
It didn't stop her from forcing him into the dance, continuing to twirl with him, but when her veil lifted with the wind sweeping it away from her face, he could make out an apologetic smile. "Sorry for forcing you into this." She said more to herself than for him, knowing that he wouldn't have heard it as her voice was drowned out by the music, but he did, thanks to his keen ears. The music came to a sudden stop right after. And she used this chance to come closer to him, pushing her chest against his as she tiptoed so her lips could reach him right under the shell of his ear. The closeness didn't faze him enough not to notice that there were only two pairs left. His and another couple staring daggers at him. "This one will be the last part, please keep up with me a little longer."
And seemingly entranced by whatever power she had bewitched him with, he listened, immediately following her when the music started again. As if his body had learnt the dance, definitely against his will, he easily matched her movements. Unlike before when he was just being pushed around, he was now the one gripping her hand hard enough not to hurt her but to make sure she didn't fall or lose balance, and he made sure to turn at the same time with her.
She was concentrated, not noticing the sudden change of demeanor of her partner, as she looked at her feet to make sure that she got it right. If she was to fall now, it would be all over. She had worked hard to come this far and she wouldn't let victory slip through her fingers so easily. And at long last, the same booming voice that announced the beginning of the contest ringed far above the music. This time, marking the end of it.
The two standing slowly came to a stop, regaining both of their senses as they mindlessly looked at their feet. It was… the end. It came faster than what they had expected. Or was it because they had lost themselves in the heat of the competition? When they remembered the situation they were in they looked around for the duo they were competing against. And here they were, bickering on the ground, too caught up in their anger and accusations to get back on their feet.
Malleus turned back to his own partner when he heard her laughing. She took the flower crown and removed it from her head, shaking her head to put her hair back in place, before looking up at him. Oh. She was…
He couldn't even finish his thoughts that someone came and took her hand, throwing it up as they announced her as the new queen. Clapping and shouting became louder the closer the public approached him and the woman was still gripping his hand, but it only brought back the previous headache racking the back of his head.
Thankfully for him, he was whisked away by the very person who put him in this predicament in the first place. He didn't even bother to hide his pout as Lilia wore a bright smile, taking him farther away from the public's eyes. "Did you enjoy it?" And Malleus could barely believe his words. If he had enjoyed it? Did he look like he had enjoyed it at all?
Once they were far enough, he had begrudgingly walked to a driveway where he could hide as he was vexed by Lilia's question. "I want to go back." And Lilia sighed at the tone his prince had taken. He had hoped for him to become a little more aware about his duties as a prince, but it seemed like it didn't work his way this time. Thus, while a hand was pushed against his hips, he snapped his fingers, bringing them both to the inn they were staying at.
"Malleus." The soldier started as he circled the bed to sit on the cushions decorating the windowsill. Although he wanted to sit on it, he ended up slumping onto them with yet another aggravated sigh. "You didn't learn anything from it, did you?"
As an answer, and seemingly vexed, said Malleus crossed his arms, still standing before the door as his own way to protest his displeasure with the entire situation. "I don't believe that there was something to understand from such an unpleasant event." The entire thing was reckless, ungrateful, and overall displeasing to him. The noise, the heat, the light, he would have never imagined someone liking such things if he hadn't witnessed it first hand.
"These people are under the care of faes. All of the previous rulers cared way beyond Briar Valley's borders." He moved his fingers, summoning a kettle brimming with hot water and the teacup by the bedside. With another fickle, the hot water was poured inside the cup where a used teabag was patiently waiting to be of use again. "And as the heir, it is your duty to understand what will fall under your charges. Their customs are different yet similar to ours, neglecting that can quite easily create a rift that will bring to a new war." He took a sip of his cup once it was ready, a small grimace appearing on his face at the bitter taste. He immediately brought a few more suspicious ingredients that he put into his cup.
"You have much more to learn about this world, and I hope that you will learn something before we leave."
At that, he disappeared, the slowly dying greenish sparks the only proof that he was here just a moment ago. And Malleus was confused to say the least. He understood his words, yet, he found them hard to decipher. He surely had learnt everything at the castle with the most proficient teachers of this age, he couldn't think of anything left to explore. What a mystery, he would have to work on it fast if he wanted to talk to Lilia again. His caretaker had always been one to teach through actions rather than words, and when Malleus was at fault and too stubborn to open himself, he had found out that leaving him to think about what he did wrong would work the best. Although what truly scared Malleus wasn't the scolding but the fact that Lilia just refused to talk to him as he was one of the very rare people he could feel at ease with.
And the only person he could turn to as of now was the mysterious Queen of the Spring.
˚ ✦ . .   ˚ . . ✦
She was still by the town center thankfully. Although this time she was draped in a modest but fitting green dress, the only decoration were flowers that seemed to have been haphazardly thrown on her by who he could only suppose were the many men praising her beauty by her sides. Surely when he thought about meeting her again, he expected her to be praised as a Queen, but the crowd of men surrounding her, craving for her attention as marriage proposals were thrown here and there for her to take, was definitely not what he had in mind. And by the look on her face, a tight smile as she uneasily looked around for an escape, she wasn't enjoying the situation as much as him.
But by some miracle, as he was thinking that he should maybe go back to the inn as she was not in the position to help him, she locked eyes with him. Her pupils dilated and stars dancing in her eyes as she recognised him in an instant. She stood up, walking down and forcing her way through the people still waiting to have a good look at her, a few apologies thrown at those who she feared she could have hurt, and excitedly marched towards him.
"I– I've been looking everywhere for you!" She started right off the bat, her cheeks definitely hotter than they should be as she tried not to stare at him too much. Even if it wasn't her fault, he was pretty handsome to look at after all, especially compared to the folks here.
He hummed, not fazed one bit by the shy look she wore. "Is that so?" He merely said, not knowing how to react to the information she gave him. It was unexpected indeed, for her to look for him despite how irrelevant their meeting had been. (But could he really think that when he was the one that came to see her, thinking of her as his only anchor in this unfamiliar place?)
She buried her head in between her shoulders, fingers playing with each other as an attempt to calm the awkwardness she felt from his answer. "Of course, you're the reason I've won after all." And when he repeated her sentence with a curious but surprised tone, she could only try and add more context to what she had said. "You saw the one we were against at the end right? They're two nobles and like, their families have always worked with each other so they could win the title of the Spring Queen each year. And I kind of found it unfair so I tried to go up against them, and like, if it wasn't for you, and you're really strong by the way, I would have never won because most people here are too scared to go against them you know? And I am too, it's even surprising that I'm still standing here right now because I expected them to just come and snatch my head off because of my impertinence or whatever excuse they'd created but no! So like…"
If she was hot before, well her embarrassment had now reached a whole other level where she had became a furnace. Of all times she could have let her stupid habit of ranting take over, it had to be with the pretty man whom she had danced with. "I'm uuh… I'm sorry for rambling…" She had always been scolded by her family for it, even the kids that would hang around her had innocently commented negatively about it. And she was trying really hard to get rid of this habit, she could even swear on her pride if needed!
"It's okay, although I don't think that talking about such things out in the open is good for you." Ah he was right! What if those nobles were actually looking to take their revenge on her? But there was no place where she would be free of danger. These guys were everywhere and—
"Then you wouldn't mind coming to my house, right?" A humm left his mouth as an approval, more fascinated by the fact that she was continuously embarrassing herself yet was self-conscious about her own attitude.
She moved to the side, a meek "this way" leaving her lips as she led the way to her small abode. And her house, farther away from the town where everyone had gathered, was… Would comparing it to a pet home be offensive? Because compared to the castle back home, this was akin to comparing an ant to a dog. And when she opened the door, he was somehow even more surprised. The house seemed to have only two rooms. The kitchen, dining room and bedroom all welcomed him at once which made him assume that the door at the back led to what must be the smallest bathroom he could ever imagine.
Still, what truly was unexpected was how cozy it seemed. Unlike the walls made out of cobblestones back in the Fort he lived at, which only made the atmosphere colder than it was already, the various plants and colors around was a sheer contrast to what he was used to. And it bothered him.
As he sat down on the drawn out and only chair in the house, he mused at the different shades coloring the walls. "What are those?" She came next to him as he pointed at the paintings above her bed. She smiled softly at the question.
"Before I left, my family gifted me those." The colors were clashing and unsightly. And despite the fact that it was made by someone close to her, he couldn't find it in himself to somehow change his views. They were still childlike and clumsy at best. So he merely hummed, not caring about voicing his… not distaste, but he definitely didn't have the best opinion on those. "Anyways, do you want some tea?"
She moved to the counter by the sink, pulling out a small wooden box from the mess decorating what would be considered the kitchen. "Actually I would much rather go for coffee." She stopped dead in her tracks. Coffee? People like her couldn't afford such things. She truly wondered who that man was.
Still, she slowly turned to him, an apologetic look on her face as an awkward smile hung on her lips. "I'm sorry I don't have coffee." She watched as he pondered a bit, fingers resting against his chin with closed eyes, before he looked back at her and told her tea was fine. She let out a quiet relieved sigh as she went back to the herbs sitting in the box before her, taking the most expensive flavour to give him before moving to heat some water on the stove.
His eyes were fixated on the intricate design decorating her back, the shape of a flower drawn with all the threads interwoven through one another and letting him see a star that seemed to be a birthmark in the middle of her spine. And his gaze slowly moved lower and lower, the need to be satiated growing the more he looked at the small parcel of skin showing between the bottom of her rather short dress and her white thigh high stockings. Why did he suddenly feel his body yearning for her? He didn't know and didn't want to. He was tempted, entranced, to move closer and pass a hand under the skirt of her dress. He wasn't used to seeing such loose and short clothing, having been mostly in company of nobles, they were posh and well-dressed with layer and layers of fabric hiding their skin. Even the soldier or the few villagers he had seen across Briar Valley were only covered from head to toe with little to no skin showing. Maybe that was why he was hypnotized by her, wondering for the very first time what was hiding under someone's clothes as his draconic instincts were teasing him into taking actions.
Malleus somehow managed to keep calm as she approached after a while, a cup of tea and some low-cost biscuits to eat with the soft drink. "Here, I don't know what you like so I made some Earl Grey tea." He smiled kindly, or at least tried to as only a small almost unseen smile appeared, before switching his attention back to the drink sitting before him to take his mind off the impulsions of his dragon side. Partaking into the carnal desire and losing the purity that was only meant to be given to his future wife? He knew better than that. And while he was debating with himself, she quickly ran to the counter in the kitchen and back to him. "Ah wait!" She bent forward, her short dress hiking up and flashing him a good amount of the small panties she wore, a cube of sugar hanging in between her fingers as she plopped it in the drink so soften it up.
Fuck, he actually didn't know better than that, because right before he could properly think, his hand had moved to cup one of her buttcheeks. She froze, and so did he, as an awkward silence stretched between them, one that seemingly wasn't registered by him as his fingers flexed around her flesh, earning a small and surprised squeak out of her. She turned back to look at him, the top of her body allowing her to turn enough for him to see her flushed cheeks as she peeked over her shoulder. "I-Is there a problem?" And she cringed at the question she asked. But he didn't care, nor did he answer back as he got up, towering her while his hands slid along her body, assessing each curve and bumps under his long fingers, before stopping under her breast.
She was pinned on the table, unable to get back up as the man was pressing his chest to her back, his hot breath tickling her neck as she felt the tip of his fingers tentatively pressing the fat of her chest. She didn't know how to react, should she push him back? She should, as she had yet to marry and had to keep herself away from any sexual activities that could "taint" her according to the religious man who had blessed her and the many other women of the village. She hadn't respected that rule as she had… already explored her own body a few times already. But partaking into something greater than merely playing with herself? While the fear of being accused of hysteria taunted her, she was still heavily tempted by this stranger's, more than vulgar, invitation.
And against her better judgment, she softly placed her hand atop his, slowly guiding it as her breath hitched when she felt his cold skin touching hers above the low-cut of her dress to the top of her larynx. His eyes dilated, pressing his hand around her throat at the same time, trying to assess all the small reactions she would have which further drove down this unknown feeling devouring him. He wasn't one to fight back his urge, far from it, he was more often than not indulging it which would always make Lilia shake his head out of disappointment. So without much thinking, he wrapped an arm around her waist, the other hand moving her head to the side for him to graze her skin with his pointy teeth, as he quickly brought her to the bed by the corner of the room. He fell on it ungraciously, her body now trapped in-between the bed and the erection he was rutting against her backside in near oblivion, each of his grunts feeling like honey soothing her mind.
His fingers started exploring her, tormenting and harassing every bit of skin showing, even tearing new holes in the pristine white dress she wore to access more of her. She felt herself drifting away when two of his sharp nails eventually found themselves back to one of her breasts, pinching it as he continued to press the hard-on still confined in his pants along her clothed slit. And as if to make things worse, he had finally started to nibble on the junction between her neck and shoulder, the lewd sound of his lips and tongue playing with her skin driving her further down this hole he had opened. What if she was fucked silly after all? She wouldn't mind if it was this handsome stranger whose lust was oozing and overwhelming her senses. But it seemed that after a short while he grew bored, instead moving away from her, just enough for him to turn her around so she could face him, settling by leaning above her as his hands rested above her ass.
She was now laying on her back, his body still towering her as he decided to press a delicate kiss on her lips, quite unexpected especially when one would consider how rough and impatient he had been until now, as if he had finally taken over the instincts that were pleading for him to drill into her hole and make her his for the night. And she reciprocated, moving her hands behind his head to grasp a handful of his hair and bring him closer. She wanted to feel him more closely, to have him imprint his lips on hers so that she could never forget him, who would surely defile her in a few moments. And hopefully, what a childish wish it was, he would understand her feelings and return the affection back. She didn't know who he was, not even his name which she had forgotten to ask, but she knew that this wise man eating her lips would be better than any of the men who were crying out to tie the knot with her. Because unlike them, he had proven how capable he could take care of her, how he was an immovable pillar when needed. And she only needed this. No fancy gifts from someone who she knew would cheat behind her back.
Whoever this man was, she craved him. He could do anything to her, she knew not why and didn't want to, and she would be on cloud nine as long as he would give her the slightest bit of attention.
But he didn't understand those hidden messages she tried to pass over to him through their languid kiss. Because when he felt her gripping the dark locks sitting around the base of his horns, he quickly lost himself back into those dangerous impulses of his. The dragon in him needed to put an heir or two inside her warm and welcoming womb before the feeling disappeared.
He broke the kiss, listening to the delightful panting leaving her mouth as his mouth traveled farther down along her collarbone. At the same time, his hands had moved from the small of her back to her legs parted on each of his sides, passing them under her bunched up dress and stopping once a finger had passed under the band of her underwear. And his hard-on, more prominent than ever, was once again grinding against her clothed slit, snatching loud whines out of her. Her breath momentarily hitched when she felt a hand leave her thigh, only to feel it scrambling with the belt stopping him from clearing his most urgent need. The occasional and unexpected knocking of a finger or two against her clit made her mewl, and urged him to move even more messily as it only annoyed him how much he was struggling with the leather tied around his waist.
At long last, he freed himself from the clothing confining him away from her. He hissed at the cold air that contrasted with the heat of his length which prompted her to look downward. But he immediately pressed his lips against hers, once again, which stopped her from seeing it, tongue entering her mouth and creating a mess of drool pooling on both of their chins, a strong hand moving to the back of her neck as he removed her undergarments. He did ponder a few seconds, should he let the stockings hugging her tights on? But he quickly shook this thought away, a deep groan rumbling all the way down from his throat as he ripped the fragile layer of clothing off her legs, leaving only a few stray of white fabric to cover her skin.
Her breath hitched when she felt him, surprised by the sheer size of his warm hard-on resting right in-between her legs. She was supposed to…? Not that she was a prude or anything, but she truly stopped a second to think if she was really ready to take something like this inside her. It was only normal for him to have a size proportional to his height but it definitely looked bigger than what she had heard from the women gossiping early in the morning at the corner of the marketplace. He didn't wait and immediately went to slowly rub his length along her still clothed cunt, earning small gasps and whines from her as she pitifully tried to hide them behind her hand. But he didn't care about them, not when he could feel the warmth she was producing, so heavy and impossibly addicting, which shrouded his mind more than it actually was.
He went back to what he was doing a moment ago, this time passing a finger on the underside of her panties as he pulled it to the side to allow the tip of his cock to press against between her walls, grinding and spreading out her cum along his length. Right when he stopped at her entrance, ready to plunge in, she weakly grasped each side of his face with moist hands which caught his attention. Breath heavy, eyes teary, and cheeks burning, she still took the time to ask one simple question that she had been dying to ask since she met him… "Y-Your name… What's your name?"
"Malleus."
And he slid inside her before she could say anything, pace hard and fast from the get go as he couldn't get a grasp of the insatiable need to fuck her. A loud gasp resonated in the room at the first thrust before a string of whines followed, she could hardly keep up with him, hanging on dear life by wrapping her arms around his shoulders as her fingers drew deep lacerations on his back. She didn't know what motivated him to be so harsh against her poor body, handling it so carelessly that she feared that she'd break, and they were only beginning.
But these actions didn't spurt out of nowhere. He had been hungry, unknowingly keeping it in the needs to mate as he had never been confronted to it directly, his caretaker having deemed that he had no need to indulge them so young —the Draconia family surprisingly didn't indulge much into sexual activities unless they were with their significant other, which lead them to believe he didn't have to learn about his impulses. Yet this woman he had found himself dancing with, acting so gently with him, unlike those who would do so out of fear or excessive admiration, had managed to grab his attention. And the dress they had given her to go with her new title as the Spring Queen, how small it was, hugging her body in a way that made him imagine just how she would look without it, how could it not fill him with inappropriate thoughts? How could it not tease the dragon inside him?
His fangs, elongated the more the seconds passed, the more his cock thrusted back inside her as he felt her walls closing around him, the more he heard her small whines, pressed against the skin of her neck tentatively as his mind was clear enough that he knew that he at least shouldn't mark her. It didn't stop him from teasing her, loving the way she would tense up whenever she felt his teeth pressing a little too hard on her skin.
With each thrusts, she felt herself breaking, her body reacting not only to the length racking her insides up, she could feel the telltale signs how her orgasm building up although she knew that it had yet to properly overcome her mind, but also the strangely long teeth against her neck and the sharp end of his nails playing with the tips of her breasts, the pain only further inviting her down the sin she was partaking in. Her voice rung inside the small house through the form of short and high pitched whines that aroused him the more he heard them.
With one unexpected motion, he turned her body over pressing her upper body down with one hand, fingers tightly clasped around her neck and playing with her breath. Her breath staggered, definitely taken aback by the sudden change of position, and she almost gagged when he went back inside her, fucking seemingly harder than before. Her senses tingled, blurring out any clear perception of what was happening and emphasizing the heat pooling between her leg with each of his thrusts.
She was on cloud nine, feeling her legs trembling as she neared her end, and his pace stuttered when he felt her walls clenching around his cock almost viciously, prompting him closer to his own release despite the tension of his body having yet to disappear. He went to a sudden stop, her confusion only lasting a mere second as his cum filled her up right after with his groans resonating around her. She whined back, his lips instinctively pressing against her neck to sooth her, having a hard time keeping up with the amount of cum overflowing inside her and dripping out on her thighs in the appearances of pearly white drops.
Eventually, she huffed tiredly, her mind finally starting to clear, and soon she would realise that he had came inside her. Possibly impregnating her with the sheer amount he had pounded inside her. But before she could think about it, he carefully took her hips with his hands, moving her to a new angle as he draw his cock back, leaving the rest of his semence to finally flow out. He pressed the tip of his dick between her folds once again, this time a small smirk on his face as he looked at her fucked out face.
"Darling. I'm not finished."
Her eyes widened, but she couldn't say anything that he was already back inside her. She didn't know how someone could have such stamina, and she wondered for a moment if he was human —which he wasn't but any hints he had given that he was fae had been drowned out by her pleasure. Yet, her mind quickly felt like mud, preparing herself for a long night.

Lilia stared incredulously at the way Malleus was fiddling with his breakfast the next morning, his mood visibly brighter than before. It was… troubling to say the least. The boy was easy to read, hiding his emotions has seemingly always been a problem for him who was easily swayed, and after he had so coldly scolded him, he didn't expect to see him in a good mood. So when the boy turned towards him with a contemplative look; "Those children of man sure hold many qualities." he was surprised to say the least.
What happened for him to change his mind so fast? He could only wonder.

No matter how many times you had visited the godswoods in the Red Keep you had not seen a single vision. You had kneeled there for hours, yet nothing. You prayed to them, hoping they had not abandoned you. This gift they had kissed upon you had been taken for what felt like a month. You hoped this would not be the end of your life and your families. Even if it was the end you kept praying.
“M’lady please.” Your maid begged you once again as she had an hour ago.
“Mira, you do not need to stay. I’ll do another hour.”
“M’lady please. You’ll catch a cold, you’re drenched. We need to warm you up.”
You finally opened your eyes, you looked down and noticed the smell of the water beneath your knees. The way your loose hairs had stuck onto your neck and face, and the way the water had tickled your cheek as it ran down. Now out of your trance you heard heavy footsteps approaching you and Mira.
Ser Criston Cole had appeared, with a blank expression on his face he spoke, “The queen would like to speak to you.”
You sighed before getting up, “Thank you Ser Criston Cole. Let me change and then I shall meet with her.”
“Now” He had hardly spoken.
Taken aback by his tone, “Are those in her words or your?”
“The matter is urgent. She would like to speak now.”
“Alright.” You rolled your eyes before attempting to pat off the dirt that had clung to your dress.
In a hushed hiss voice Mira spoke, “M’lady you sat there in the rain for hours. A simple pat would not take it out.”
You said nothing but a quiet sorry. She was right to be upset though.
You had gotten looks from almost everyone as you walked down the corridors to the Queens chambers. You had excused Mira as you and Cole had entered the room. As the doors opened Alicent had turned around, her eyes widened.
“My gods, what on earth happened to you.” She grabbed a blanket nearby and walked over to you to wrap you with it.
“Forgive me your grace. I was praying in the godswoods and had not noticed the rain.” You pause and cling onto the warmth. “I was going to change but Ser Criston Cole said it was urgent.”
In the corner of your eye you could see him glare at you. “The matter was urgent but you could have changed.” She began to pull you towards the fire to warm up. “I’ll keep it short then.”
As you both were seated she handed you a cup of tea. “I’m sorry for the bluntness but, have you bleed?”
Your hands stopped, it took you a moment to process. It had been a month, a month of praying to the gods of the old. A month of sitting there and not a single moment had you realized you never bleed. An entire month, you had never been late, your cycle was always on time, maybe a few days late but never a month. “I” You paused, “No, I haven't. Not since before the wedding.”
With a bit of remorse on Alicents face, she gave a half smile. That look you had was one she knew all too well. “That’s wonderful. It’s wonderful news, especially news we can give out at Aemonds coronation day.”
“Oh, yes, his coronation day.” The events that had taken your wedding day came flooding back. “Will you be telling Aemond”
She nodded, “He should be here soon.”
Just as the first day he met you, he saw you sitting there. This time by the fire, he watched as the fire had illuminated your face. The way it kissed your features, the way it had made your face glow. Yet this time there was a somber look on your face that you tried to hide with a smile.
“Hello Husband. We seem to keep meeting this way.” There was an ache in his heart as you went back to calling him Husband. He loved the way you called him by his name. Yet he knew it was his own fault. He had pulled back from you, not because he despised you. But because he despised himself. How could he touch you, not after what he did, not after what he did to his flesh and blood with his own hands. The situation with Aegon was different than Lucerys, with Lucerys it was out of his control. But with Aegon, it was by will. Not only that but for another reason he could not even dare think of it in fear it may come true.
Alicent could feel the tension, she spoke to try and break it. “Aemond, please sit. I’d like to speak to both of you.”
He nodded his head and proceeded to sit next to you on the sofa.
“I was telling Y/n that your coronation day was coming soon. Your grandsire has arranged everything and things have been prepared accordingly. As for your coronation day, we will first check with the maester, but if our assumptions are correct, we will announce the celebration of your first child.”
You could feel his hard gaze on you as fidgeted with your fingers. Was he mad? Was he upset that you had gotten pregnant so fast? Did he now feel even more tied to you? Did he resent you for this? Like always thoughts had flooded your mind. Without the sight it was impossible to make decisions or to pass judgment on him. You felt vulnerable, you had never felt like this before. You had always been two steps ahead of any suitor or any man in general. But now here you are, a wolf in the den of a dragon. What were you to a dragon? Nothing really. Your sight was all you had to feel in control, and now with it gone you truly felt what other women felt. Powerless.
“I see.” Aemond had spoken. “Thank you mother. I hope that in time you will be able to guide my lady wife in her responsibilities as the new Queen.”
She nodded, “Yes of course. And your grandsire will speak to you of your responsibilities as well.”
“Was there anything else?”
“No, that was all. You both may take your leave.” Alicent stood up.
Both you and Aemond had as well, as you all headed towards the door Alicent spoke for the last time, “Congratulations. You both have done well.” You and Aemond nodded.
Just as you think you both walk in opposite directions Aemond places his hand on your lower back. You look up at him, yet he does not look at you. He began to guide you towards his chambers. When he noticed some maids passing by he asked them to draw a bath in his chambers. They obliged.
By the time you both had reached the room the bath had already been drawn. He excused the maids. He led you to the front of the tubs, from behind he began to untie your gown. You looked over your shoulder and pulled away.
“What are you doing?”
“Stand still.” His voice stern. Yet he continued to speak, “Do you know how idiotic it was to stay in the rain? You could have gotten sick.”
You spoke lightly, “I’m sorry. I wasn’t thinking.”
“Clearly.”
He helped you into the tub after he had removed your dress and let down your hair. As you laid back in the tub he began to wash your hair.
“The realm can not afford to lose its heir.”
You had rolled your eyes, “Yes husband, as I am simply a child maker. And my life does not matter.”
He lightly pulled on your hair causing you to glare back at him. “I wasn’t finished.” He had grabbed your chin lightly so that you wouldn’t look away. “While the realm can not afford it. I could not afford to lose you.”
Your eyes looked away from his, “Oh and is that why you have avoided me for a month?”
“Yes.” You scoffed at his remark.
“My uncle is still alive. We killed his children and his wife, what do you think he’d do if he found out I have grown fond of you. That I have a weakness for you, and now our child. He would burn you alive. Cut you in half, torture you, feed you to caraxes. What would I do if that happened?”
“Kill him and remarry.”
“You think that coldly of me?”
“I have heard rumors that you were with a woman before me. What would stop you from doing the same? You are clearly loyal to your mother and if she wished you to remarry for the sake of the realm you would. I am nothing but a pawn in your family's game. I have done my duty and if I die then that is in the fate of the gods.”
He was taken aback by your willingness to die. He had noticed a shift in your behavior for a while. The past month he had watched you from a distance, always seeing you praying in the godswood. It was all you did, he had to send maids to come and bring you food whenever you noticed you being there for more than an hour.
“You have the sight. You are not just a pawn. Clearly my grandsire saw it as something.”
“Yet I do not have the sight! The gods have clearly punished me! I have not had a single vision or dream since I got here. I have nothing, I am nothing.”
“You are not nothing. You are my wife. You are to be queen.”
Tears began to well up, “But I can not just be that. My whole life I have been a greenseer. How could I have that taken from me?”
“Would you like to go back for a few days?”
“Where?”
“Home. To Winterfell.”
“No, it’s too far. Your coronation is soon, riding there would take months.”
“Not by dragon's back.”
“Dragon’s back?”
“Yes.”
“No.”
“No?”
“I’ve never been on a dragon. Let alone see one up close.” You shook your head.
“It would only be for four days.”
“Why are you being nice to me?”
“Were you not listening to me, my lady wife?” He teased.
“No.”
“I could never replace you. You are now everything to me” He had leaned in closer.
He planted a soft kiss on your cheek, “That is why I am being nice.”
His lips moving closer to your lips. His kisses were intoxicating, no matter if you were angry at him. No matter if he had ignored you. Ever since that day he first kissed you, you had become addicted to it regardless of your feelings.
“You can’t leave me again. You can’t shut me out. I can’t be here alone. I can’t do this without you.” Your eyes clouded with lust, with caving for his affection.
“Alright.” He smirked lightly.
“Promise?”
He chuckled, “I promise.”
His lips touched yours. The kiss was sloppy, desperate. You turned around to face him, pulling him closer. Through the kiss you began to help him undress. As he got in the water he pulled you onto his lap. His hands on your waist to hold you up right while your hand drifts down his chest.
You found his cock already hard, it twitched at your touch. You gripped it tightly causing him to hiss. Your lips leave his as you travel down to his neck. As you suck on his neck you begin to pump his cock causing him to grunt lightly. You looked up at him, seeing his eyes closed as his head leaned back. The look of him like that caused your body to feel on fire. You bit his chest lightly, a groan left his lips.
Unwilling to wait anymore you aligned him to your cunt. Rubbing him against your lower lips.
“Fuck” His hand moving from your waist to his cock.
But before he could grab himself you stopped his hand. This caused him to open his eyes and look up at you. He watched as you guided his hands from your stomach, passed your breast to reach your throat. That was when you sank down onto his cock, taking all of him. You let out a light moan feeling his warmth.
He watched as you arched your back and began to move your hips. He lightly squeezed his hand causing your breath to hitch. All he could do was watch, watch as your perfectly shaped tits bounded with the rhythm of you bouncing on his cock. He hadn’t seen you clearly the first time you had sex. But now, he could clearly see you. The candles that surrounded the tub had illuminated you perfectly. The way your hair clung to your neck, the way the water dripped down your face. It made you look ethereal. Too delicate for him to touch, he was afraid that he would break you.
But your whispers of his name tempted him. He needed more. He sat up, moving you with him. Once he had you both in a comfortable position he lifted you up. He carried you over to the bed. He had placed you on the bed and told you to get in the center. He then told you to turn around and bend over. He watched as you hesitated slightly but then did what he told you to do. Your forearms resting on the bed as your ass stuck up in a position that gave him a view of everything. You felt vulnerable, especially as he had not made a sound. This caused you to look back at him. You just saw him standing there looking at you, his cock just as hard as he had begun to stock it at the sight he was blessed with.
“Aemond.” You whispered his name again.
Just with his name he had moved closer to you. You felt the shift in the bed, you felt his hands making their way to your hips once more. His cock aligning with your cunt, he had rubbed himself against you smearing his juices against your wet cunt. It didn’t take long before he filled you up. He groaned at the feeling of your warm cunt, it pulled him in and held onto him tight as he pulled back and forth.
His pace began to speed up and the sounds of your sweet moans. Each trust is getting harder and hitting the right spots. You felt him pull you back to him, your back against his chest as he continued to fuck you. He moved the hair from your neck, his lips sucking gently on your neck. It sent a shiver down your spine. Your cunt tightening around him more. That last squeeze was enough to tip him over the edge. He came, his cum overflowing out of your cunt as he pulled out.
He watched as his cum dripped from your cunt to the bed. You felt a shift in the bed again. You felt something between your legs. Before you knew it his lips were against your cunt. He lapped at your dripping cunt. His groan vibrated against your lower lips.
“You taste so fucking good.”
You sat up and watched him, his eyes closed as you would grind down on his face. You moaned as you felt his tongue slip between your folds. As you gripped his hair you watched as he opened his eyes. He stared back at you, sucking hard on your clit. You felt a tingling sensation pass through your whole body. Your knees felt weak, Aemond could feel it too. Once you had come down from your high, you got off him.
Your back now against the bed. You took a moment to collect your thoughts. He was in you just seconds ago but you missed the feeling of him filling you up. But he wouldn’t let you rest, not yet.
“I’m not done. Not yet. I need you, in every possible way.” Aemond leaned down and kissed your lips as he entered you again.
Your moans and the sound of the bed creaking could be heard throughout the halls. The whispers of your marriage not being consummated during your period of silence with each other would be silence.
Morning came quickly, the sun was now shining as the storm had passed. You awoke to the sound of the birds singing and to the feeling of an arm wrapped around you. You opened your eyes and looked down. Aemond had done the decency to cover you both after you had knocked out. But what made your heart flutter was the placement of his hand on your stomach. You didn’t know if he placed his hand there intentionally or just by coincidence. Either way it made you feel secure. Not just for you but for this child.
You placed your hand on his, he was warm. You didn’t understand how he could always be so warm, especially with how cold he looked. You tried to remove his hand to get up but he pulled you back into him.
“Are you planning to run away so early, wife?” Aemond nuzzled his face into the crook of your neck.
You smiled and turned around in his arms, “No dear husband. I plan on getting ready so that we may go to Winterfell.”
“Everything is ready. We just need to get out of bed.” Aemond kept his eyes closed and ran his fingers up and down your arm.
“How do you know it’s all ready? We only spoke of it last night.”
“Earlier this morning, your maid had come in to wake you. I told her of our plans and asked her to get help setting everything up.”
“I see.” You paused, “So then why are we still in bed?”
“Because my dear wife. After all your nagging yesterday, you looked so beautiful sleeping. I could not dare wake you.”
Aemond opened his eyes to find you glaring at him. He kissed your forehead, “After all that yesterday, you still find ways to upset me?”
“How could I not?” He smirked before placing a kiss on your lips.
After an hour or two you both had finally got ready. He had taken you to where Vhagar was, and there you stood. The giant stood before you, the air it had realized from its nose blew your hair slightly. Aemond pulled you closer, he placed your hand on Vhagar. He spoke in High Valyrian, and it seemed to have called the dragon down.
“Are you sure it’s okay for me to ride with you?”
“Yes. You’ll just sit in front of me.”
The trip was long, but not as long as you had spent in the carriage. You felt the cold breeze hit you. The smell of open air, of the woods you had always remembered. Once Vhagar had landed you were greeted with your fathers men. They were taken by surprise and led you both to your father. You had explained everything to him, and how you would only be there for a bit so that you could be back in time for Aemonds coronation. With that he let you go, but requested an audience with Aemond. There you were taken to the godswood. It felt different, different than the one in the Red Keep. You kneeled in front of the tree and began to pray.
After what felt like hours there had been footsteps behind you. Turning you noticed Aemond heading towards you. You watched as he took in the woods.
“Beautiful isn't it.” You got up and headed towards him.
He nodded his head and reached up to touch one of the red leaves, “I didn’t expect it to look exactly like the one back home.”
“They all look the same. At least that’s what I’ve been told.”
“Have you finished?” He looked back at you.
You smile at him, “Yes. I feel much better now.”
“Good.” He leaned down and kissed your forehead before turning around to walk back. He stopped when he noticed you weren’t by his side.
“What is it?”
“After your coronation. Do you think we could come back?”
“What for?”
“Well ever since I was a little girl I always wanted to get married here in the godswoods. And I know we already had our wedding. But-” You looked down at your hands before looking back up at him. “I’d really love to get married to the man I have grown to admire here.”
Aemond walked back over to you, “If that is what my Queen wants, then I shall give it to her.”
All you could do was smile at him. Yes your relationship was not ideal, this was not how you had expected it. Especially with him ignoring you, but now, now that you both promised. You both came to an understanding you felt like you could really build something with him. Clearly there was attraction, but you could be more than that. And his openness towards it was all you needed.
Later in the day at dinner you had felt nauseous and excused yourself to your room. Aemond was going to go with you but you told him to enjoy himself and to keep talking if he wanted to. And he did. He found the environment less hostile as the one back at Kings Landing. Time had passed and without wanting to disturb your sleep, Aemond slept in a separate room. The night had continued yet Aemond could not stop tossing in his sleep.
He was stuck, as if someone was holding him back. He watched as Daemon pulled you by your hair. You hold your swollen belly to protect your child, your face red and bloody.
“Nephew, you started this war but I will end it. A wife for a wife.” Daemon pressed the dagger against your cheek, nicking it.
“Aemond.” Your cries out before all he could hear were your screams.
Daemon moved the dagger to your eyes, gouging out one after the other. Your tears mixed with the blood that ran down your eyes. Your screams had continued until they had felt real.
Aemond jolted awake and yet he still heard your screams. His mind scattering, he ran out of the room to find yours. He flung open the door, your screams got louder. He was met with the sight of you, sitting up in bed. Your hands covering your eyes as if you had felt the pain. The pain he had dreamt of. He ran to you and touched your arm. But you had begun to hit him, trying to push him away.
“Y/n. It’s me. It’s just me.” He waited until you calmed down to see it was really him. He watched as your tears ran down your face. The tears were overflowing, you let out a sob and whispered you were sorry. He shook his head and told you it was fine.
He had pulled you into him. He had never hugged you so tightly before, he didn’t even know you were capable of that much strength.
“I had a dream. Your uncle he-”
“I know. I saw it. You don’t have to say it.”
Your sobs hadn’t stopped. You both stayed there for more than an hour. Aemond had set you back, and hugged you tightly in hopes to calm you down. It was working, but it did nothing to calm him down. It was all he could think of. Your screams, it made his entire body ache. He was stuck, he felt helpless.
But it was true, he had started this war. He was the cause, he didn’t deserve happiness and his uncle knew it. Just when he found it, just when he found someone who understood him. Daemon would take her from him. He knew if he didn’t find Daemon this would eventually be their fate. It would be your fate. And it killed him. He wouldn’t be able to live with himself if you died. Not after all this. He knew this would not end not while Daemon was still alive.
