my random donatello headcanons. . !

he's awkward in nature, but that doesn't stop donatello from calling you fascinating. the touch of your fingertips tracing the creases of his hands as he rambles on about your differences and familiarities. embarrassed, donatello stops his mumblings if he realizes what he's saying.

when donatello has feelings for someone, he might just be...softer, partially because he's confused about what he's feeling. he doesn't really want to feel it either. he might isolate himself more so it goes away. it however, doesn't.

two words. parallel play. sitting together in the same room doing your own tasks. donatello at his desk as you do your own enjoyments beside him. some days it's a comfortable silence, other times you'll ramble, he likes to hear idle chatter. he might not know what you're talking about, but he loves the noise.

donatello likes the way your heart beats against your chest. it’s never the same every time he lays his head on your chest, but there’s the same sense of relief he gets from it.

donatello gets easily irritated/overstimulated by strong, bad smells. even with the ones he doesn’t actively dislike, he’s very picky with the scents he does like. however, one particular night while you were looking over his shoulder, he caught a grasp of your scent. whether you prefer the flowery kisses of roses and fresh cut daisies, or the earthy tone of left over raindrops on blades of grass. he found that it was a... pleasant surprise.

future!donatello smells like cigarettes and metal rust—but in the smoke and sterile way. he'd try to cover it with eucalyptus. when he stresses out, he turns to cigarettes. he tends to wallow in his own sleepless pity.

yandere!donatello who's mind had gone blank. his heart pounding within the bony confines of his chest, unable to move as your laugh replayed in his head multiple times. and what a scary feeling, terrifying to experience something so.. conflicting. his heart aches, but it feels good. he wants—no needs to know why?

yandere!donatello likes to experiment on you. mentally, physically. you're so fascinating. your biology is different. desires are different. needs are different. there are many ways to make someone delirious, and he intends to explore each and every one.

donatello listens to weird al yankovic because i said so.

donatello likes someone who will understand his boundaries. he likes someone who listens. he likes it when someone seems interested in him or what he's talking about. donatello likes someone who will be quiet with him.

i can definitely see donatello as a gray ace. (i mean he's purple he's literally asexual core/hj) i do project a bit of myself onto him in having anxieties about other people and myself that's stopping me from getting in relationships. "i'm busy. i have other things to do. i don't need to worry about it." and while true, that doesn't mean it's not nice. it's him using his hobbies and work as an excuse to not be with people even though, deep down, i think he wants it.

donatello says he prefers his coffee black, but he enjoys it with creamer. french vanilla baby! something to keep in mind for the early mornings, the quiet yet comfortable silence of the fresh day as you press the palm of your hand on his shoulder or between his shoulder blades for a second as you set down a coffee you made for him. it's a small gesture, but it's domestic. it's sweet, he appreciates it.

donatello really loves the little things because it feels mundane and human to him.

donatello prefers black teas. april introduced him to a strong one with cane sugar and mint once. but he also likes pure green tea, lemon with ginger, and a special rose-strawberry tea on the occasion. but it has to be a subtle taste, not to sweet, spicy or heavy.

donatello likes all sorts of dumplings and is not a fan of overly sweet food + most desserts.

donatello would be willing to watch greys anatomy with you because he's a bitch and likes to point out inaccuracies which is hilarious coming from some bitch who doesn't have a medical license. however he does have respects for dr. gregory house, so he's decent enough when watching house.

donatello's favorite body part of yours? "whichever parts are the farthest away from me, thank you." your hands. your palms which press against his plastron, your fingertips that send shudders down his spine when you trace over his shell. every crevice, every knuckle, every detail. need i say more?

donatello likes subtle pda, not anything over the top but stolen kisses here and there and holding hands is perfect. and if his twin is being extra ballsy, he'd probably give you something of his (like his purple hoodie) and be a little, just a smidge more clingy then usual. maybe give him some knuckle kisses, i think he'd like that.

donatello with a bimbo lover. (or himbro/thembro whatever floats yo boat) he is twofold: he'd be peeved at someone not understanding basic things, but he'd also be inclined to tell you things. he loves to teach you new things, he'd be offended if you asked anyone else about something you don't understand.

⭐ - Not sure if I'm taking this headcanon or not, but I do think It's pretty neat

💋 - Kinky! DISCLAIMER: Ive always seen the rottmnt boys (and April) in the age group from 17 to 19 and thats what I headcanon them as (as it is my own age group!). Ive seen the show and was fucking sure theyre my age and then a month or two later I was slapped in the face with thier actual age lol. I dont support any pedo shit, I also dont think minors can consent. Just putting it out there

The 'Tism

• 💜 I think Its pretty fucking obvious that this boy is autistic, pretty much everything in the show supports this.

• ❤ Donny's headgear also works as noise cancelling headphones! He's often overwhelmed by background sounds and his gear makes it easier for him to live his life (either on missions or just spending time with his brothers and/or April). He still loves blasting his music on the highest volume tho. It's different when you consent to hearing your jams then when several people are talking at once and youre going crazy.

Tagging as kind of canon because he might have audio sensory issues because of his autism and you can reraly see him without the damn googles.

• 💜 He knows ASL! Though It's never said in the show why he learned it, I believe that because he goes nonverbal often. Everyone in the lair can sign a bit because of that, but not everybody is too good at it. Donatello can communicate in ASL fluently.

Gender

• 🧡 Donatello never really felt connected to being "a men" and categorising things as "for boys" and "for girls" always seemed dumb to him. Shortly after Leo's coming out as a trans men (SURPRISE LEO HEADCANON) he went to talk to him about his gender experience. After some thinking and digging, Don came to the conclusion that he is in fact nonbinary. He still uses mostly male pronounces but always appreciates gender neutral pronounces coming his way.

Sexuality

• 🧡 While realising his own gender he also figured out that he doesn't really sees gender that seriously in others either. Men or women, its pretty much whatever to him. He doesn't like to label himself much when it comes to his sexuality, he accepts reffering to him as a pansexual or bisexual.

• 🧡 When it comes to dating Donatello doesn't imagine himself with anyone, really. He finds himself attractive, but doesn't think anyone would fancy him in a romantic way. He's not interessted much in dating either way. But he doesn't exclude dating someone in the future. It's just he won't go out of his way to look for love.

• ❤/🧡 Its obvious Don is a men of science, he's a genius when it comes to coding, math, engineering, I would say chemistry as well. Thats the field he feels the most comfortable in, but he loves learning new things in general. As long as there is interesting knowledge he can obtain, he will be there, soaking it like a sponge. He likes listening to info dumps, and probably listens to long ass video essays and/or podcasts.

• 🧡 Don likes to learn about others people hobbys and takes interest in learning about it. He likes showing others that he cares about something, even though Its something totally indifferent to him. For example, he knows lot about art making process from Mikey (Angelo even made him paint with him a couple of times!) even tho he doesn't really likes drawing and/or famous artists. No many people appreciate his work so he wants to show his appreciation to others.

• 💜 He is pretty low empathy most of the time. It's hard for him to relate to others, and can often feel like someone is overreacting. It's also challenging for him to put his feelings "out there". Which often makes him look unloving or unfriendly. And it couldn't be farther from the truth. He loves his brothers even though they bother him most of the time. And he loves April as well (though she never really troubled him much). He never really thinks that his low empathy is a flaw (more often he thinks about it as a blessing) but there rare are moment when he feels helpless because of it. He is glad that his family knows that he truly cares about them (and accepts any effort he puts in to express his feelings, even if it seems small).

• 🧡⭐ I've seen people headcanoning Donny as a baker and honestly I like it a lot. Cooking is Mikeys domain, and it suits him well, as it allows a lot of freestyling and just overall feeling. Baking and pastry making is very calculated and one miatake can ruin the whole thing. It reminds Don of engineering in a sense. Also baking is an easy way to get love and appreciation from his family because, cmon, he just made the most angelic fruit tarts in the whole universe, of course they're going to praise him. It also works as a stress relief. When feeling stumped and/or overwhelmed over a project or a situation he'll make something easy like brownies to get his mind of it.

• 🧡 He's very sentimental. He loves receiving gifts and will cherish and use them (even if he doesn't like it). He still has every "gamers dont die they respawn" Tshirt and every "dont fuck with my brother he was born in october and has autism" mug. Sometimes he REALLY wants to throw something away but god damn it this is painting Mikey did when he was ten and is just five splats of paint and thinking about him somehow finding out and crying about it might destroy him forever.

• 🧡⭐ This bitch reads fanfics, thats it. It started when he was around 13 or smth with Atomic Lass x Reader and now he knows all the fanfic lingo. He still might read something from time to time and writes very long and well written comments (with constructive criticism).

• 🧡 Speaking of which, Don writes perfect sentences while texting. All the correct spelling and punctuation. He also communicates with emojis and gifs like a millenial.

Food, TW: drinking!

• 🧡 He has a rather strong head, you cant make him drunk that easily. But when it finally happens, youre in for a ride. Shutting him up is near impossible, he will talk non-stop but with much less eloquence then while sober. Its extremely easy to make him laugh, so Leo absolutely loves it. He often looses track of what hes saying and starts completely different rant. Overall a chaotic mess. Really fun to witness it at least once. His beverage of choice is either fun cocktails or beer (tho rarely and/or only with some kind of juice because he doesn't like the fizziness on his tongue).

• 🧡 And that takes us to Donatello that hates fizzy drinks. He hates carbonated beverages, no matter if its cola or champagne. The feeling on his tongue and in his mouth makes him really uncomfortable. When there is no other choice but to drink up some bubbless, he leaves it open for as long as he can to get rid of them. His brothers despise him for that.

• 🧡 He doesn't like weird food combos either and is rather picky. When ordering food Don sticks to what he knows not to risk an uncomfortable texture touching his mouth. Texture is the most often reason for him not liking a specific food. Donnys pretty strict to preparing food as well (the way he does a thing is The Correct Way and no other exception is acceptable). Also he puts milk first so his cereal doesn't get soggy.

• 🧡 I feel like he likes fruit juices in boxes and fruit mousses but this is pretty random 🤷

• ❤/🧡 He wears contacts! We've seen little Donny with glassess, so I assumed he wears contacts now. When he knows he will be spending all day in the lair (for example because of an injury) he still has a pair of glassess he uses. And yes, he tapes them to the head. Because he rarely ever wears them, he never came up with a solution for not having ears and needing glassess.

• 🧡 ABSOLUTELY hates smoking. Will go on a rant if he sees someone he knows smoking. He absolutely despises the smell and WILL take it out of someones mouth/hand and throw it away. Appreciates the fun smells of vapes but still hates them. Will call vapers losers (maybe not exacly in these words but he will for sure).

• 🧡 Really good at makeup, but not as good as Leo is (ANOTHER SURPRISE LEO HEADCANON). He spend years perfecting his eyebrows of course. He also wears eyeliner because serving cunt is important even on the battlefield. From time to time you can see his nails painted as well.

• 🧡⭐ While being flustered or simply distracted he stutters a lot, mostly in a way of repeating whole words or parts of a sentence ("Its good because- Its good- Its good because I um- Its good-")

• 🧡 Enjoys taking very long baths, and actually prefers them much more then showers. Can stay underwater for a rather long time as well!! Being fully submerged calms him down a lot and its overall very relaxing for him.

• 🧡⭐ Ive seen a lot of takes that without his battle shell, he is really flexible (due to having a soft shell). And I like the idea. I think, that before sitting infront of a screen (or a desk in general) to do his work for several hours he stretches deeply so his back won't be so sore later. Also a reason to draw Donny in yoga poses and thats always cool.

• ❤ Makes up shit to fuck with his brothers. Like just spreading misinformation and gaslighting them for shit and giggles. Or to get them to leave him alone for a while. Also will gaslight them if they somehow find out that he was lying ("what? you must have heard me wrong then 🙄💅")

• 💜/❤ Loves singing and dancing!!! Aint the best singer (tho I love his songs in the show Im kissing him as we speak) but is a gorgeous dancer! He finds it incredibly fun and feels fabulous while doing it. Also Im pretty sure dancing counts as stimming so add it to the list. Dances solo like 90% of the time but really enjoys dancing in pairs (dances with April a whole lot when they get the chance!).

• ❤ He rarely laughs out loud, but when he does it is loud and messy. A good joke can make him think about it all day and continue laughing for a long time. Not my og take, Ive seen this headcanon before and I love it so so much :3

• 🧡 From all his brothers, he kind of wishes to be human the most of them all. Its not a big big wish, he does think of himself as very unique individual and takes pride of being a mutant. But sometimes while hanging out with April he can get lost in his thoughts of "what ifs". Maybe in the process of making a cloaking accessory.

• 🧡 His handwriting is god-awful. All scribly and fucked up like Doctors writing. Unfamiliar eye would not decipher a word out of it, but Don knows exactly what everything means. But he mostly writes digitally.

• ❤ Dons dislike of hugging is canon, but I do believe he likes being touched on his head and face (head pats, cheek rubs, scratches). He enjoys hand holding when it's appropriate as well.

• 💋 Im headcanoning the boys to go through mating season once a year (except mikey cuz he small) everyone at a different time. It would be similiar to an ovulation but much more horny (with also fever symptoms). Don would be the second after Raph to get it. While in heat he doesn't go feral or anything, but after a few days stops working because he cant focus on his craft. Waves of sudden temperature changes (mostly high heat) with really horny thoughts and hypersensitivity to pretty much everything...yeah not the best work environment. He spends his most intensive days closed off in his lab or room because he really doesn't want his family to see him like this (the rest of the turtles are in thier rooms during thier mating time as well for the same reason). Also add being possessive while having a SO, and also veeery easy to irritate.

• 💋 Donny takes on a more submissive role while being intimate, even though he loves to be in charge all the time. But he isn't a bottom either, I would put him perfectly in the middle as a switch (more leaning on that sub part tho).

• 💋 His biggest turn on is smell. Like someones natural smell, no perfumes and all. He likes to snuggle in the crook of the neck and take it all in. This becomes cranked up to eleven during mating season, as he absolutely cannot stop sniffing. Would love his significant other to leave him clothes with thier smell on it and sleep and/or snuggle with it.

Headcanon that Donatello loves audiobooks.

He always tend to have them playing in the background whenever he’s working and even tries to replace music with them since they don't hurt his ears and are useful.

When it comes to audio books, he actually prefer to have a novel playing like star wars or Jupiter Jem or anything he prefers ( if Jupiter Jim has a novel ) as that he can't read those as regular books at all

Notes: Since my 1st random tmnt headcanons post did so well, I've decided to make another.

𖤐 Raph, Mikey and Leo would have definitely tried to flip somebody off before but because they only have 3 fingers people would just get confused on whether they're actually giving them the middle finger.

𖤐 Leo was 100% the type of kid to not/refuse to swear and say stuff like 'gosh dang it'and random crap like that. He encouraged the rest of his brothers to do so and the only one who sorta stuck to it was Mikey, whereas Raph and Donnie swear like absolute sailors (just like yours truly)

𖤐 I think Mikey and Leo are the early birds of the brothers and Donnie and Raph are the night owls.

𖤐 Leo and Donnie totally drool in their sleep.

𖤐 Leo loves to read comics, mangas, and novels. His favourite genres are fantasy and sci-fi (sometimes romance, it usually depends on his mood).

𖤐When Mikey disturbs Donnie in his lab and Donnie doesn’t want him to touch or do anything stupid in his lab, he’ll put a stupid video on one of his monitors to distract him….surprisingly it works.

𖤐 Donnie has an extremely dark sense of humour…whenever he tells a joke the room just goes silent and you can just feel the awkward tension - Mikey’s face is priceless though so it’s 100% worth it.

𖤐Mikey is a certified cat lover! He prefers them over dogs and every time when he’s out on patrol and he finds a cat, he must go up and stroke it (even if it’s hissing and has almost scratched his face of several times)…he’s just a massive softy.

𖤐 I think that Mikey is the toughest to crack in terms of emotions. Although his elder brothers are very stubborn when people try to get them to open up, Mikey always feels he has a duty to keep up his up-beat, care free persona. He knows how rough his brothers have it and he knows that he can be annoying and understands the emotional pain they’re going through so he just wants to stay happy for his brothers in order to not worry them more.

𖤐 When Donnie was learning how to drive, he was 1000% sure he ran somebody over

Random-

-Even though Raph goes up top the most, Donnie is the one that wants to be human the most. Evidenced by his obsession with the mutagen, yes, but also his smaller behaviors. He wears more human pants and shoes than his brothers. He wears very generic glasses that everyone who's worn glasses has had before. He speaks the clearest imo. I think it's born from the fact that even though he's a turtle like his brothers, he's the tallest and least muscular of them. He doesn't feel like he belongs anywhere, a feeling that's made worse by their teasing.

-He has a really big fear of heights, and that's why he didn't dwell on the plane jump, he just powered through. That's also partially why he has Mikey on top of the truck instead of himself or a camera

-He is absolutely obsessed with racing games, especially those arcade ones where it's the whole seat and steering wheel. That's where he learned to drive, and why he goes so fast.

-He's a fucking loser. I know this is the running joke in the movies and everything but I mean he is pathetic. If this boy was a human he'd be on the edge of becoming an incel. Like, the back of the class "devil's advocate" incel. Too many people make him cocky, and he can be, but if he likes you that man is fumbling at every step, every word, until you fan his ego enough to get past his insecurities.

-I don't think Don is an incel though, I think his unconventional upbringing has made him more caring. Despite having low empathy, I think if he can realize he likes you then he'll do things for you out of kindness. Acts of service, if you will.

-I think he's very emotionally dim-witted. As seen in the plane scene, he methodically goes over the plan and then jumps, not even seeing the apprehension from his brothers. You'll have to be direct and honest, he won't take offense to it.

-He's a fucking loser. If he likes you, this man is horny all the time over any little thing. Even when you're talking, he's entranced by the movement of your lips. He WILL be bad at sex at the beginning, especially because the most he's ever done is watch porn. He knows anatomy better than his brothers, yes, but don't think that correlates to romance or experience.

-A sucker for worship, from either party. He'll give it genuinely, because he's just so surprised you're his. That someone so perfect and human could love and want him and show him their naked body. But he also likes receiving it, he can turn into a cocky mf if you rile him up with praise.

-Does not care how you look or dress. Pizza-stained shirt, basketball shorts and greasy low ponytail? He wants to smash. Dolled up in purple just for a movie date? You won't remember the name of the movie, trust. He'd find all manner of body types, skin colors, hair textures, eye colors, etc very intriguing and beautiful, he wouldn't have a preference(none of them really would, seeing as they'd be lucky a human even looked at them with good intent). Part of it is you being everything he's always wanted. A partner, of course, but a human as well. He'd kill for that kind of opportunity and accepts his lot in life through having you.

-Once the first time awkwardness wears off Donnie gets good really fast. He's very observant when it comes to data, and he's seen that first sex as an experimental moment to help compartmentalize his feelings a bit and grow. He memorized every sound you made and what caused it, even if his memory is a little hazy at the end from all the pleasure.

-You will peg him, or fuck him if you have a dick. There's no debate here. And he will cry pleasure tears.

-Whines into the back of his hand. For all he's overcome, he's still insecure about his looks, especially his O face and his mouth. Partially insecure about the sounds he makes, and partially trying to muffle himself so his brothers don't hear.

-Also talks, but very incoherently. Like only the first half of his sentences and it's very rushed and breathy.

-Will try anything in the name of scientific experimentation(and bc he loves you). Any kink you have, however small, can be communicated honestly with him and he'll try his best. He actually really likes when you tell him these things, because it's just more assurance that you really want him.

🐢 Anime boy backstory 🐢

Before Draxum started the mutation process, before he got ahold of Splinter, he needed some actual test subjects. You where an average New Yorker, you went to school and had a part time job and even had some unique pets that you where very attached to.

A alligator snapping turtle, a softshell, a red eared slider and a little box turtle. Draxum took interest in you because of your pets. Huginn and Muninn where sent out to find the perfect animals to mutate, that's when you where targeted by him.

On your way home from a trip to the vet to check up on your little guys health you got jumped. There was no possible way to get out but you where not about to leave your pets. You tried to run but after being picked up by Draxum's vines you got thrown against a wall, passing out. When you woke up your beloved pets where gone.

Raphael

★ He was the one who tracked you down after Draxum told him he once was someone's pet. It was kinda awkward expanding everything to you but after introducing himself you immediately pulled him in for a hug.

★ He kinda gets protective of you. But not from other people! Just in general, you took care of him when he was small. It's only fair that he does the same for you.

★ You and Raph end up being the responsible ones in there little family. The difference between getting in trouble with You instead of Raph is that you always lecture them for at least an hour. Also you get to say stuff like "I raised you better than this."

★ You get invited to every family movie night and everyone fights over who gets to sit next to you because you always cuddle with the closest person. turtle?

Leonardo

★ The reaction he had was similar to the one in in the gif above ⬆️. Yes, he was a plane old turtle once but it took him by surprise when it came out that he was a pet.

★ He's a total lap dog towards you, and only you. There's no getting out of it. He'd walk up to you and plop himself down on your lap and look up. You always give in and give him shell stitches. It's not weird if it's from you, okay!

★ His brothers collectively agree that you are now basically his babysitter. He gets into a fair amount of trouble, imagen Raphael saying "if you don't stop I'm telling y/n!" Or being the one who now yells at him after making bad discussions instead of raph.

Donatello

★ Blank face before quietly saying "What?" He knew that he was just a regular softshell but surprisingly he never thought about where he came from before getting mutated.

★ He gives you random tests on your knowledge of softshell turtles. Like you could be folding laundry and he'd just say "what is the proper temperature for a softshell turtle enclosure?" He does this to try and figure out if you where a good pet owner. He's come to the conclusion that you where a pretty good pet owner.

★ He wonders about what could've happened if Draxum never stole him and his brothers from you. Things could've turned out way differently, the thought comes back to him every once I awhile.

★ You know things about him that nobody else knows, like where he likes to be pet on his shell. But he refused to believe you without any proof. He is only slightly embarrassed when you demonstrate for him.

Michelangelo

★ *New parent acquired* He got really excited and asked a ton of questions. Did you get him from a pet store? How much did he cost? Do you still have his old habit??? He needs to know theses things!

★ If you have any photos of him and is brothers as regular turtles he's going to ask for copy's. Don't tell anyone but he's working on a family album in his free time.

★ You are now his older sister figure, no you aren't getting out of it. He comes to you when he needs help or has a problem with something or someone. He says that he inherited your kindness even though it doesn't work that way.

★He lowkey love's it when you pamper him like he is still your pet turtle. Doesn't matter if he's a big guy now! He wants chin scratches and lap pillows. Also he makes Draxum apologize for what he did to you.

“you’ve been sitting here for five minutes, and you haven’t touched your dinner… you should eat."

it takes you a few blinks to come back from your dark headspace of static and noise, but you slowly return back to reality. back to the low light of the lab. his voice was like a bitter taste left on the edge of your tongue, but it awoke you from your self-induced daze.

you tugged at the cuffs on your wrist that kept you restrained to the table. your back facing the silver glow of his lab, the light enveloping you like angels scratching at the skin of your back. he noticed your discomfort at the chains and you swear there was a twitch of a smirk ghosting upon his lips.

“it’s for your own good. i can’t have you trying to run off again, can i?”

he doesn't wait for you to respond before adding, “because then you could get seriously injured! or somehow escape! and what would i do without you?”

you want to scoff, but the dry of your throat doesn't allow you to. so, with a voice full of coarse detest, you muttered out a quick “shut up, donatello,” before regretting how shaky the words snaked out of your mouth.

he doesn't reply, only giving a dry chuckle before returning his gaze to his own desk where he continues to work on God knows what.

tonight he gave you chicken, lined with rice and vegetables that you watched his hand crafted machines chop up just minutes before.

“you should eat up, you’ll need the strength for later.” he doesn't look at you as he says this. but you prefer it that way.

you don’t say anything, glaring at the cold metal that dug into your skin. and you don't dare to touch the food even though your stomach aches and twists like a rope, knawing at you for something to eat.

“i’ll be nicer on you with the experiments tonight if you do.”

you reached your free hand up to your neck and traced your fingers over the bruises and scars across your collarbone, slashes across the bone in bane. you swallowed dry air down your throat before breathing out. "you promise?”

“have i ever lied to you, darling?”

“no… but you’ve misled me.”

“i’ve told you before it was for your own good." he spoke as if he was scolding a child, or more so an experiment than a person, and you hated it.

"i suppose it is only in your nature to despise me now, but you'll understand why i'm doing this eventually."

fat fucking chance.

“but enough of my ramblings. eat, please.”

he gestured to the plate in front of you, the plate accompanied by water in a glass and a cheap fork. and by his tone of voice, you knew his words were a demand rather than a request. still you hesitated before picking up the utensil.

you could try again.

try to take yourself out by your own accord. though he might punish you for even thinking about it… the risk worth the promise you're not sure he would even keep in the first place.

...he probably wouldn't keep his word either way. you grasped onto the fork tightly, taking a deep breath and pulling your arm back as far as the chains would let you.

and you stabbed yourself right in the throat.

or at least, you tried.

it stung like a brief needle to the skin, and nothing more. absolutely nothing.

it wasn’t even bleeding…

you hopelessly laughed at yourself, dropping the fork and feeling at your neck, begging for a wound. begging for the bitter sweet touch of blood. you hands grasped around your throat as tight as you could, tears threatening to pour out, but there was no more left to cry.

fuck. fuck, fuck, fuck!

your head felt heavy and your breathing was short, but it didn't do anything to stop the beating of your heart.

he grabbed you hands, pulling them away from you as he chastised you with a dark glint in his eye that you couldn't quite catch in the moment. “you already tried that on our first night.”

“don’t you remember that the utensils are plastic? you don’t think i'd trust you with metal or wooden ones, do you?”

“..no..”

“it didn’t work the first time. did you really think it would work this time?”

“...no...”

“you poor, poor thing. we’ll deal with this later.”

we’ll deal with this later... your breathing was harsh at the intentions his words lead to. it was uncomfortable to even blink, you felt a migraine seeping into your head.

"now, eat." you didn't have the energy to fight anymore with your stomach burning your insides at the stake.

you picked up the fork again, hesitating for a moment. but without another word, you began to eat.

the worst thing about donatello, besides your relationship with him, the experiments tested on you for his own sick work of mind... was that the cooking was good. really, really good.

but he would never touch his own work. he would always place a plate of food for you, and never for him.

he told you he didn’t like to eat, he didn’t need to, he claimed. he often didn't sleep, either.

fucking hypocrite.

he watched you with glee, his eyes lighting up like flames shaping burning glass. watching you indulge in the only pleasure you have besides sleep.

he smirked as you struggled to bring the fork to your lips, both from the shackle and from the feeling of past pain.

“is it good?”

you don’t allow him an answer, not indulging him with more than what you're forced to.

you reached for the water and slowly drank. the cold stung your throat with relief and a painful cough.

tomorrow is another day.

you could try again.

A/N: I haven't posted anything ROTTMNT related in a while but I still love Donnie with all my heart.

If he doesn't want to be touched by you then Donatello will just hover around in your space

He will let you know that he is present there but won't make any advances towards you

The most you might get his him leaning against your back and him talking to you

Can still flirt with you if he wants to but he keeps it to a minimum

Not exactly touch adverse with you but he makes it every clear when he wants to be touched and is mostly the one who wants to initiate the touching

Happy to pass notes back and forth though when he doesn't feel like being very phisical

Your fingers can touch his for a brief moment that way

Will leave just a bit, a hair of space between your bodies if he's not leaning against you fully

He will listen to the things you have to say even when he's not being physically intimate, he might struggle with physical touch or communication at times but he's trying his very best for you and your relationship

My Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Headcanons - Donnie 💜

He/They but doesn't mind any other pronouns. Bisexual, Nonbinary (I love the fact that neurodivergent people see gender differently than everyone else, and more likely are nonbinary, genderfluid etc)

Ofc He’s autistic

He’s semiverbal, when he’s really overstimulated or overwhelmed he goes nonverbal and uses ASL

Donnie is scarred of the dark, but not normal “scarred of the dark”. When he wakes up, and its still dark he gets paranoid

When he’s paranoid or smth at night he looks if Leo is awake, tries to make it as quiet as posible so that Leo doesn't notice him. If he do he will sit with Donnie, and comfort him

Donnie sleeps the least of all his brothers, he is too busy with his work, he just forgets to sleep. Raph needs to force Donnie to go to bed then he watch him to be sure he fell asleep

When Donnie can’t deal with his sensory issues he goes to Raph. He hugs him, rub his shell, or just carefully lay on his shell like weighted blanket

When Don bought himself his purple comfort hoodie he bought one for Mikey too. Some time later he bought one for Leo because of his dysphoria

Don always has a emergency epipen in his battle shell

Donnie stimms with his fingers and toes a lot

Genuinely loves coffee and mango passion fruit energy drinks

Wears contacts, but when he is too tired to put them on he just casualy wears glasses

He sometimes experiences seizures after krang attack, because of nerve damage

When he feels super preety he likes to use a lot of eyeliner

He sings while making his makeup

Always paint his nails

He’s anemic

Donnie always has hidden candy with him in case Mikey is stressed and Raph isn't there

Donnie is realy flexible because of his soft shell

Donnie & Mikey absolutely hates squishy fruits and vegetables. The texture of food that they eats must meet theirs standards

The headphone/goggle idea was born in Donnie's mind one day when Raph was helping him with overstimulation

When Donnie needs physical contact he just sits in lap of one of his brother that are actually chiling somewhere in the lair

He loves demonia boots, especially damned 318

His music taste: Lady gaga, Daft punk, Lemon demon

He’s the type of person who have all of his stickers in folders and never uses them. On the other hand Mikey sticks his stickers on everything

Don keeps all of the drawings Mikey gave him, and have them all on the giant pin board on his lab wall

At some point in his life he started smoking

Fav pizza: Something with vegetables like Mozzarella, Sun-Dried Tomato and Arugula

Rottmnt Good Future Donnie Stoner Headcanons

Donnie’s First High

He started smoking weed at 18 after it was legalized in New York. April introduced him to it, and had offered a couple times earlier on, but he wanted to wait until he was an adult so it’d have less effect on his still developing brain.

Once he turned 18 he called up April and was like “hypothetically, if I was to take you up on your offer of trying out marijuana, how soon could we start doing that?” And April just fuckin squees in excitement. “We can start, right fuckin now, Don. Meet me at mine in 20 minutes after I get you some snacks”

His first ever hit is from April’s large honeycomb and bee covered bong. It’s the Chewbacca strain. He watches her take 3 hits first to fully analyze the process so he can do it correctly. He wants to watch more examples, but April tells him to just do it!

“You’re smart as hell, Donnie. You’ve got this! Plus it’s not as fun to be the only one smoking. Try it try it!!”

So Donnie tries it. He takes April’s clipper lighter and lights the bowl, taking a fuckin massive hit because he “wants to prove he’s capable”

He can’t get all the smoke in the piece into his lungs in the first hit, and despite his effort to hold it in his lungs long enough for it to “take full effect” he coughs like 1.5 seconds in

He then proceeds to cough and hack and wheeze for a solid 3 minutes. He’s got tears in his eyes and April pats his back soothingly.

He chugs an entire water bottle that April hands him. Once he gets his breath back and the burning in his lungs has subsided somewhat is when he notices the effect weed has on his brain.

He couldn’t talk at all because he was hacking up a lung, but now he looks around and sees April’s concerned face and just bursts into giggles.

Everything feels fuzzy and comfortable, and for some reason all of April’s expressions are fucking HILARIOUS to him.

April hooked Donnie up with all of his favorite snacks and a two large pizzas for them to share

Donnie gets the munchies SO hard. He starts eating the pizza and audibly groans. “April,” he says, “You’re the best. My best friend. I love you so much, April. I know I don’t say it very often. Emotions are difficult. But I do, very much. Thank you for this pizzzzaaa!!”

April turns on nature documentaries and How It’s Made for them to watch and Donnie just ABSORBS it all.

A lot of the stuff he already knew, but it feels like he’s rediscovering the information with even more excitement. He watches each one without talking, interrupted only by uncontrollable giggles and excited stimming like hand flapping and finger tapping. After each documentary ends though he info dumps to April about all the extra things he knows about the subject.

He can’t stop smiling, it would hurt his cheeks but he can barely feel his face anyway.

He’s fucked UPPPP

The two of them stay up until 5:30 am when the sun begins to rise thru April’s window

He’s still high ASF and April texts Leo to have him teleport Donnie back home.

Once he’s home he promptly passes tf out in his bed.

When he awakens he takes notes on his experience and decides that he’ll smoke with April again sometime.

And so begins Stoner Donnie
