Oh fandom joy of translating random characters! Here I was translating 灣 [wān] — bay, gulf — getting down to 彎 [wān] — to bend, to flex, curve — and then to 䜌 [luán] — chaotic, confused —which is a compound of many beautiful words like 鸞 [luán]. At that moment the golden light of divine revelation poured all over the place and I felt this gorgeous luan MUST have to do smth with LQG's Cheng Luan. Guess what🔥 It's written precisely as 乘鸞 and means smth like 'riding a phoenix'? How epic is that??

Sometimes its okay to go back to the drawing board when things & people are not showing up the way we need them to.

be open minded, not everything you need/want has to meet your expectations … BUT only you know what you’re willing to accept at the end of the day. Its ultimately your decision that makes the difference.

As we move into the Fall season & close out 2023… we need to make sure we’re not being sacrificial for the sake of community/relationship/connections & the image or appearance of having it together… when its not really all that!!!!

The energy that present itself is sometimes more truthful that what the eyes can see! If the ENERGY is not sincere & loving (high vibration), we either need to pull back & budget how much we give or completely remove ourselves from the situation… But if the energy is there… THE LOVE, THE HONESTY, THE PASSION…maybe there’s some small changes that can be made to make it work in our communities,jobs,relationships…

Ki Tissa: A Lesson in Leadership

Moses was on top of Mount Sinai, experiencing Divine revelation on a level beyond the grasp of ordinary prophets.

At the foot of the mountain, however, the people began to worry. Not knowing why Moses was taking so long, not understanding how he could live without food and water for forty days, they felt abandoned and leaderless. They demanded that Aaron make them a golden calf, and they worshipped it.

God’s response was immediate — He banished Moses from Mount Sinai:

“Leave! Go down! The people whom you brought out of Egypt have become corrupt.” (Exodus 32:7)

It seems unfair. The people sin, and Moses is kicked off the mountain?

A Suitable Leader

In order for a leader to succeed, he must be appreciated and valued by his followers. The leader may possess a soul greatly elevated above the people, but it is crucial that the people should be able to relate to and learn from their leader.

At Mount Sinai, the Jewish people were on a lofty spiritual level. As a result, Moses was able to attain a supreme level of prophecy and revelation on top of the mountain. But after they sinned with the golden calf, Moses would no longer be a suitable leader were he to retain his spiritual attainments. It was necessary for Moses to “step down,” to lower himself, in order to continue serving as their guide and leader.

This idea is clearly expressed by the Talmud in Berachot 32a:

“What does it mean, ‘Go down’? God told Moses, ‘Go down from your greatness. I only gave you pre-eminence for the sake of the Jewish people. Now they have sinned — why should you be elevated?’

Immediately, Moses’ [spiritual] strength left him.”

Does it scare you to think about what Satan is trying to do to your kids?

What are you doing to make sure he doesn’t? Are you teaching your children about God?

Are you setting an example for them showing them what faithfulness looks like? Do you take them to church and Bible class?

Do you talk to them about the lies and immorality that the devil has made normal?

Do you keep them from playing video games and watching shows that slip in things that will take them off course? Do you pray for them and over them?

Don’t think for one second that you can let up or slack off. Evil doesn’t.

Free will enables me to change my mind when I have a good reason to. If a god exists and has free will but doesn’t give me a reason, then it’s comfortable with my conclusion. If it won’t, then it it has no recourse. If it can’t or doesn’t know to, then it’s not a god.

Velma is a wizard and she specializes in divination. Her glasses are her magical focus, and she has the Magic Initiate feat allowing her to cast Guidance and Goodberry (aka Scooby Snacks).

Shaggy is a ranger and Scoob is his pact animal. His favoured enemy is Sandwich and his favoured terrain is "Far Out". Super unoptimized, but he rolled godlike stats so it works out.

Scrappy Doo is a Barbarian-Rogue-Monk multiclass with the tavern brawler feat. His reckless unarmed attacks straight to the chin apply sneak attack damage and segue into a flurry of blows. He is incredibly based and chad-pilled.

Alright, go out and spread the Good Word. Bully your friends into playing Baldur's Gate 3 with you this way or whatever
