Thinking about how Moshe Rabbeinu was worried people wouldn't listen to him or take him seriously because of his disability, but then he wrote the entire Torah and it's one of the most well-known and important texts to this day. He may not have been able to physically speak well, but he did have a way with words and he was an eloquent, charismatic leader.

18 Tamuz - Moshe’s Second Ascent - 1313 BCE
On this day in the year 1313 BCE Moshe ascended Mt. Sinai for the second time. In the aftermath of the Golden Calf, Moshe ground the idol into a powder, added it to water, and had the people drink. In the morning, all of those who had participated were found dead. The number totaled 3,000.
Moshe then returned to the mountain to plead with the Almighty on behalf of the Jewish people that He should give them another chance. After 40 days of debate, Moshe returned to tell the people that the Almighty would not abandon them. This was the last day of the month of Av. Moshe then ascended for the third time on Rosh Chodesh Elul. This time to receive the second set of tablets and to relearn the entire Torah for the Almighty. When he would return to the people on what would become Yom Kippur, they knew that they had been forgiven for the Golden Calf, and Yom Kippur was established as the Day of Atonement.

In those trying times, I keep hearing this song.
Do you know that the Hebrew version is called "Hoshia Na" (lit. "Help/Save Us")
youtube
I wonder why this song keep popping in my head.
It contains ppl moving from house to house, killing babies in their cradles, and a mother hiding her baby to save him.
(oh, wait.)

"Then was a great cry lifted up, and oh such a sorrowful sound was heard! So I said to My two lampstands, “Take a coal from the fire which surrounds the altar, and eat of it. Consume it fully and go down. For I have made these people as kindling, and this multitude as wood, that they may come and fight against you, that they may be given up to the flame. Open your mouths wide that they may be consumed!”
For I have prepared an offering, lo it is prepared and waits for its time, says The Lord God of Israel. For indeed I tell you, lo, The Lord your God reveals it to you, Eliyahu and Moshe are about to come down! Says YAHUWAH."

Why Did Moshe Ask?
Moshe asked to see Hashem’s glory. King Dovid asked many times, even begging, “How long will You hide your countenance (face) from me?” But we never find our Fathers, Avraham, Yitzchak, or Yacov ever asking, not even once, to see His countenance! Why is this?
Before Hashem took the Jewish people out of Egyptian slavery all of His revelations to our Fathers were exclusively to give them instructions, what He wanted them to do. After we came out of Egypt and went on to receive His precious Torah, revealing His Presence became the ultimate blessing of Torah observance. As the words of the blessing that Hashem told the priests to say to the Jewish People say;
“Hashem bless you and guard you. Hashem make His countenance (face) shine upon you and be gracious to you. Hashem turn His countenance (face) toward you and grant you peace.”
And this is one of the privileges of being a Jew. Hashem is everywhere at all times, but He hides. He hides so we will work to find Him. We are to search for Hashem’s Revealed Presence in order to experience that life fulfilling goal while we are still here in His World.

What Does Genesis 1:1 Mean?
Genesis 1:1 is one of those really tricky plays on words that doesn't translate well into English. Let's play with the metaphysics a bit while learning why quantum theorists reject spiritualist wuwu. Rock with me as we take the journey within.
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. -Genesis 1:1 Seems pretty straight forward right? Well, having recently learned how to read Hebrew I’d say it’s anything but straight forward. The syntax is incredibly elusive and doesn’t really translate into English very well. In fact, Genesis 1:1 was quite the point of contention as the scholars responsible for the Septuagint came…

For the DnD Jumblr ask: Yaakob, Moishe, and Miriam!
Yaakov:
I think he'd be a Rogue. This is the man who tricked his brother to get his Birthright, and tricked his father to get the Blessings, tricked Lavan to get his rightful dowry, and fought a literal angel. This man is not afraid to resort to trickery and deception for what he thinks is right. At times he's morally grey because of this, but ultimately his actions pay off in the end. He's a tactition, he carefully divided his household when preparing to battle Esav, and he's a diplomat. This is a jack-of-all-trades and a genius.
For his alignment, he'd be Chaotic Good. He's good, but boy is he just an unbridled source of chaos.
Moshe:
He'd be a Paladin. He's obviously one of the greatest leaders of our time, and he's both a clan leader and a fighter. He speaks to G-d and argues with G-d, and fights Mitzraim, Amalek, the men at the well, and anyone who dares threaten his people. He's imbued with prophecy and connection to G-d, although sometimes he makes grievous mistakes.
For his alignment, he'd be Neutral Good. I was going to say "lawful good", but since when has Moshe ever followed the letter of the law? He's absolutely good, but sometimes he makes mistakes, and even talks back to G-d. (I think we're seeing a theme here with Tanakh figures and talking back to G-d XD).
Miriam:
Kind of obvious, but she'd be a Bard. She's associated with music, after all she helped compose Shirat HaYam, and led the Jews in song and praise after the splitting of the sea. The timbrels she and the women had were taken from their Egyptian masters when they were preparing to leave Egypt, and I think that's pretty badass. It's in her merit that the Jews had water in the desert, and she's smart and headstrong. She was the one who suggested to Batya to make Yocheved Moshe's wetnurse, and if we go by Midrash, she was also one of the midwives who defied Pharoah's orders and saved the Jewish babies. She also rebuked her father and all the Jewish men for divorcing their wives out of fear of the Egyptians, and she's confident and wise.
Her alignment would be Chaotic Good. She's good, but like her ancestors, she's absolutely chaotic. She's rebellious and witty and isn't afraid to speak her mind, even against voices of authority. She definately makes mistakes, like when she slandered Moshe's wife, but she's very much human. She's an awesome figure.

8 Av - Return Of The Spies - 1312 BCE
On this day in 1312 BCE, the 12 spies returned from the land of Canaan. 40 days before, the Jewish people were poised to enter the land of Israel. They asked Moshe to send spies to check out the land so that they would know what lied ahead. When the spies returned, 10 out of 12 painted a dismal picture of the land. They told the people that there was no way they could conquer the land. The people responded by accepting the negative report at face value and ignored the positive report of Joshua and Caleb.
That night, they cried meaningless tears. The Almighty said because of this, I will establish this night as a night of crying for all generations. With that, Tisha B’av was established and has remained a lightning rod for Jewish tragedy and the national day of mourning the painful events of our history.
