You’ll get what I mean.

Cale, who was Kim Rok Soo, does not keep up the image of trash.  He calls himself trash, he is called trash.  He does not keep his reputation.  Not the alcoholism, and he doesn’t throw bottles at gangsters.  No, he takes care of the underworld and other nobles in his own way (ie, recruitment or utter destruction).  He does not have his old reputation in this world either.  He’s not known as this cold leader who doesn’t care when someone dies, he’s known as a brilliant young man who cares way too much.  He’s known as an idiot who would rather pass out from exhaustion a week later than leave things to fester for one minute.  

And then there’s Kim Rok Soo, who was Cale Henituse once upon an apocalypse.  (First the fuq of all, nobody knew jac squat about him in the first place, and being the son of his mother probably made him something of an automatic anomaly.  I assume just being a Thames makes you kinda weird.  But anyway!) He lived as trash, an alcoholic who threw too many bottles back and then at the wall.  Then he lived through 20 years of a losing war.  And he got tired.  Tired enough to listen to a voice in his head in his last moments, to switch worlds and bodies with some stranger.  And he chose the motto that reflects the sentiments of his soul swap partner to a T: let’s live peacefullly.

And he smiles now, as Kim Rok Soo.  He sits back in his office chair, with an easygoing attitude.  He’s not the trash that would only shout; he is sly, and he knows how to use his status to properly put punks in their place.  He’s the team leader who refuses to be mistreated by anyone.  He will not be used, he would rather do his work as he needs to.  He isn’t a lowlife with no responsibilities in the wake of a war he would be just about useless in; he has a niece he has to go home to.  He drinks casually, not too much.  And he smiles in a way that’s too bright for the cold Kim Rok Soo.  He’s too happy now to be called cold-blooded. It’s like there’s a fire in his eyes that had been lost ages ago. Something that was rekindled when he had someone to go home to.

Despite changing their own lives so much, they wound up being nearly the same as one another and that drives me a little insane.

And let's not forget the best part.  One famous line they have in common in every world:

“Should I flip everything over?”

Another thing: I think Cale's gonna start resembling Kim Rok Soo. As in, he'll start relaxing a bit as the work goes on, he'll learn to rest as he goes (as in actually rest) and delegate work properly. He won't brush past comments like he used to, he will look a person in the eye and go 'I can just leave this world and leave you to your fate' which I would love to see, honestly. I feel like their individual capacity to be petty increases with age, and that's probably one of my favorite things about these characters. So them finding new ways to piss off people who don't like them could just be made into its own series and I would sell my soul for it.

Tim Drake has known since the beginning he wasnt quite as moral as he should. At his mothers knee learning how to care but more importantly how to keep, how to possess.

He knew who Red Hood was stalked him until he figured out every bit of his plan. When he attacked the tower Tim had a duffle bag filled with clown that was layed at his feet blood given freely as if to prove his faith.

Nightwing as light as he was still found a home in the darkness so how better than to show his devotion than the man who took the Graysons flight. Tony screamed as loud as the crack of their spines.

Damian already knew blood didn't have a specific monster that he could use but his baby brother did love his animals hearts of animal traffickers bestowed weapons forged long ago drenched with Drake blood. Animals and Heritage what is brother respected most.

While Bruce saw his little Robin his light they saw the red the alter which he had layed his gifts proof of his will secrets that only his could know a claim even grander than that of Wayne. Blood stained palms clasped hand in hand.

anyways was thinking of a thor ragnarok rewrite last night as sleep refused to take me. obviously it can't be exactly like actual ragnarok bc marvel/mcu's norse stuff is..nothing like actual norse lore but i figured it could still have some more similarities than what the actual movie did.

(also if i were to rewrite the movie this isn't actually what id do, this was just. idk. what i was thinkin about as i was desperate to actually falll asleep).

anyways i figured this rewrite would actually work best if it rewrote the end of tdw first- loki gets stabbed by kruse and passes out for a while (rather than being able to pick himself back up in secret like what actually happened) and in that time odin senses that loki isn't dead and sends some guards to collect him. since loki technically broke the law *again* (committed treason, escaped jail, etc), he can enforce even more punishment, especially now that frigga is dead and she can't do anything about it. That, combined with some prophecy from midgard (or maybe asgard, idk) as an excuse added justifying reason, he sentences loki to the worst thing he can think up: to be bound against a rock with a snake dripping venom on him, his lips sewn shut so he can never lie again, forced to be in his jotun form, for all of eternity. In the deepest dungeon.

Thor obviously doesn't know about any of this, because he thinks loki dead.

so loki is taken, bound to a rock (idk if it's really work to have him bound with organs tho, since he doesn't have children in the mcu. maybe it's his..pet's? or maybe just chain. idk.), a snake coiled above him, seiðr bound, lips sewn shut, and his æsir form taken. He is completely alone, save the guards outside the chamber.

i don't really ship logyn in the mcu, (bc she doesn't exist in the mcu and their relationship feels to me like it would span for several centuries prior, so just randomly introducing her in one movie would seem strange to me), but i follow some people who do, so i wondered how i could incorporate that anyways, and make it not seem too strange.

Sigyn is one of the guards who has a shift guarding loki's chambers. She feels awful about it though, and eventually decides she has to do something to help. She ventures into the chamber and decides to catch the dripping venom with her helmet.

She also tries to cut the stitches from lokis lips, but when one string is cut, it doubles and repierces the skin, now twice the strength. She tries again, cutting them all at once this time (rather than individually), and grabs them all at once and pulls them out before they can multiply and repair themselves (luckily this time it works). She almost regrets it, though, as now she has to hear loki scream himself hoarse, and she can't do anything else to ease the pain.

she stays for several weeks/months/idk, holding the helmet above loki, having to empty it every so often. Perhaps she gets to know loki in this time, perhaps she doesn't. Perhaps she notices a certain brand on his shoulder, perhaps she does not. Perhaps she knew loki vaguely before, and now muses to herself what could have possibly changed him. Perhaps she didn't know him before, and doesn't muse. I don't know. But eventually she decides she needs to find and tell thor.

as hard as it is, she leaves loki to suffer alone (she tries to see if she can leave the helmet or fashion some contraption to make sure the poison cannot get in his eyes, but she cannot). After some searching and asking, she finds the mourning sullen prince thor and tells him what has occurred. Thor, now filled with joy, rage, guilt, horror, and sadness, breaks loki out with sigyn.

Loki is a mess. He has gone blind- whether temporarily or permanently is unknown- and has visible burns from the acid venom. His hairs a mess and his skin sweaty and thin. You can see his rib cage with how thin he's become. He wasn't allowed much clothes at the start of his punishment, but what few he had have been burned by the venom as well. He can't walk. He's barely conscious, and what little bit he is is just filled with delirium. They basically have to carry him.

They hide away from asgard (or at least the palace). And then ragnarok gets unleashed and they have to fix it etc and in the end they realize that it wasn't literally loki's being freed that incited ragnarok, but it was necessary for him to be freed so they could help stop/fix it/lessen the damage etc idk i was pretty tired at this point i wasn't thinking of details. anyways

idk if that made any sense lol but i'll tag the logyn people i follow/was thinking of

Buckle UP bc I am about to go on another pointless rant that’s probably just repetition and a jumble of incoherent fanboying

Basically, I love how this interaction feels like a reference to Adam’s desire to “feel awake when his eyes are open”, and how Ronan compliments it with the way he blurs the line between waking and dreaming not just for himself, but Adam, too.

Okay so, we all know how Adam constantly seems to struggle with feeling like he’s actually in the present, never feeling like he’s grounded in it even when he’s there. He feels like he’s always detached, fading into the background.

His little dry remark here I feel was more than just teasing, I feel like it was him being subtly fascinated by the fact that someone like Ronan, a dreamer, could actually tell the difference between the sleeping and waking world. It’s a fair assumption that he wouldn’t be able to, Ronan is pretty much known for the way that he blurs the line between the two. He dreams things into reality. He is responsible for bleeding the sleeping world into the waking one.

To Ronan, he makes this “ugly sound” because these two worlds are his playground. It doesn’t matter to him if he’s asleep or awake because he can merge both. Ronan’s fear, however, is telling the difference between the things already existing in reality and what he dreamt into it.

Hence his remark here,

Waking and sleeping might not matter to Ronan, but his doubt as to whether the people around him are real or dreamt is a prominent concern of his. Why wouldn’t it be? His father dreamt his mother into existing because he wanted a companion, what’s to say Ronan didn’t do the same?

But, much like Ronan’s dismissal of Adam’s question, Adam brushes this off. I think this is because to Adam, being dreamt wouldn’t be such a bad thing. It would mean someone wanted him enough, longed for someone like him to such a degree, that they would dream him into the real world. Not only does this imply that Ronan views Adam as someone he wants bad enough that he could dream him, but Adam’s reply indicates that he knows this and he doesn’t mind it.

Ugh they just… they WRECK me. I could go into a full rant about how Adam longs so intensely to be wanted, and Ronan wants and longs so intensely for Adam, but we’d be here all day and I have already yapped enough…

OK AGE THEORY TIME BECAUSE WHAT ELSE AM I GOING TO DO AT 2 AM

Ok, proportions: we ain't including Zane. Cole is a little older than Kai, but usually they're the same age. Jay is a year younger than Kai. Nya is a little less than a year younger than Jay. Lloyd post age up is just barely younger than Nya.

OKAY we know that Jay and Kai are adult teens in s9. So like. 18/19. That makes nya 17 ish and lloyd 16/17 in s8 and 9.

Minus one year and that places them at 16/17/18 as of s7, which feels right. We don't know how much time is between s5 and s7, so including skybound and a) how long it took for stiix to fully transition to just a salvage yard and b) how long teens are usually in that peak of sweet spot fame, I'm gonna say there's probably a total of a year between the beginning of s5 and the stary of s7. S5 ~probably~ takes place over multiple months, so let's just say a full year, leaning on a year and a half. That puts nya/jay/kai at 15/16/17 as of the beginning of season five, with lloyd 14, 15ish.

Season 4 probably takes place over multiple weeks, probably a month at most, but there were probably several months between s3 and s4. Judging from wu's belief that the four could still conceivably be seen together, it couldn't be too long, like between seabound and crystalized, but probably like 3 months. Another month for the duration of s3. Add on the extra half year above, and we're at 14/15/16.

Pilots, s1, and s2 don't take that much time to happen or between each other. Pilots takes place over a few weeks, tops, plus a few more weeks in between that and s1. S1 is probably a few months long, but s2 is probably only a couple months at most. There was probably a significant jump of time between s2 and s3, enough time to rebuild the city and whatnot, so we'll say six months.

I'm gonna say lloyd jumped from being 9 to being 13, but nya was just barely 14 by then, I'll say.

Well fit wise emerelda and Lucy both slayed within their own aesthetic but I'm leaning towards Xanthous if you mean his demeanour and shit. In the atom books he's pretty anxious but in tlos he's bitchy and overdramatic and I can respect that. Not in a mean way, more like gay theatre major who's completely burned out but will still talk crazy shit about that one girl if you know what I mean
