Well, hey there!
Welcome to my completely all over the place — that started out just as a Destiel but morphed into this multi fandom posting, self and others creations promoting, show/movie reacting, sometimes random personal life ranting — blog!
There’s a lot going on here.
Here you will find posts about my fandoms... which are as follows… going in order of how strong of a grip the hyper-fixation has on me at the moment.
The Untamed (WangXian of course, with a side of XiCheng)
Supernatural (Destiel… duh ☺️)
Heaven Official's Blessing/Tian Guan Ci Fu (Hualian... although I do enjoy FengQing and BeefLeaf as well)
Stranger Things (Steddie)
Shameless (Gallavich)
Our Flag Means Death (GentleBeard)
Good Omens (Ineffable Husbands)
The Musketeers (Portamis… or Flort if you’ve seen the reaction posts… and I’m also not opposed to Annamis or just platonic based fics of this show)
Starsky & Hutch (they don't have a fandom accepted ship name but I will call them Hutsky and (or) Starch anyway because they are canon names and I love them)]
The Witcher (Jeraskier. I have barely even watched this show and this ship has on my soul is unfair, unjust, and should really just be illegal)
Lucifer (Deckerstar... but I say this begrudgingly because Percifer -- as brief as it was in the show -- owns my heart)
Dark Angel (No ships really, but I'm also only a couple eps into the second season)
Other fandoms I'm less active in, or not active in at all but enjoy
Doctor Who (eventually I plan to kick this one back up into the actively active category)
Once Upon A Time
NCIS (McNozzo)
Psych (Shassie, but I like Shules...is it Shules... see not active)
Criminal Minds
etc etc etc... You see, like I said, there's a lot going on here!
Here you will also find links to my fics...
I'm on AO3 and FFNET
Here you will find a lot -- and I mean A LOT -- of posts about or in collaboration with @scripted-downfall aka Wench.
Here you will find reaction posts to shows, and if you are interested in that sort of thing we have a main blog for it right HERE
Here you will find selfish promo's for the discord I help run, and the one I created ( Raised for Perdition and the odd side of fandom) not saying you should totally join them but you should totally join them... cause they have been pretty dead lately...
Here you will find that sometimes life gets really annoying and I just need an outlet to vent about it and it has absolutely NOTHING to do with fandom at all.
Here you will find I am into many many manyyyy types of fics/art (almost all the things there is to be into) angst, fix its, mutul pining, abo, AU's, long chapter fics, short one shots, and mpreg are among the top.
One thing you wont find here is hate, or tolerance for hate. I can't promise there will never be fandom negativity, that feels almost impossible to try to avoid, and I am only human! I dislike plenty and want to talk about it. But just vile blatant unreasonable and unnecessary hate is not welcome here! Also Hurt/no comfort and MCD because... just why?!

did you watch lucifer season six and what are your thoughts pls and ty
Ahaha. Yes. Yes I did watch it. Then I cried for a literal hour and attempted to compose myself, only to start crying again when I lay down and kept on thinking about it. Then I had more feelings. Then I slept like the dead due to emotional trauma. Then I reblogged gifsets and had More feelings. Then @buffaluff and @flynnanimal watched it and also required emotional support due to drowning in their own tears. So, uh... we're all fine here now. How are you?
My main takeaway from the final season was the sheer amount of love for the characters, story, and fans that you could feel shining through all the episodes, and which made SUCH a refreshing change. I had feelings in my tags the other day about how a show about the devil was constantly goofy, hopeful, loving, and uplifting, rather than all the grimdark nonsense they could have easily done with it. (As I said, just imagine it as written by the GOT idiots?? NO THANK YOU.) The writing really loved everyone and wanted to give them a proper ending and emotional journey, and it wanted to show the fans that they weren't stupid for having invested six seasons of effort and emotion into this, and just... that is so much rarer than it should be? Compare all the movies and TV shows that treat their fans like the enemy, that want to outsmart them at all costs even if it means changing major plot elements, that ferociously guard spoilers and think that "shock value" means good writing, by throwing hackneyed cliche upon cliche and making everything Depressing, and just... Lucifer had its hiccups and slow points and missteps, of course, but I am SO glad they didn't do that. The entire show consisted of Lucifer slowly but steadily progressing toward being a better man, despite mistakes and setbacks and sometimes a little too much will-they-won't-they. (Season 3 was the only one where I got bored and skipped over the filler episodes with Pierce/Lucifer/Chloe in order to get to the end).
That is an essentially simple premise, but they stuck to it, and they didn't try to create more drama by randomly wrecking what they had already established. I wrote a fic all the way back in mid-season 2 (In Nomine Patris) that ended up predicting quite a few of the future characters who had not yet appeared on the show at that time, including Eve, Michael, and Azrael, and several plot points, including the very major one of Lucifer returning to hell for the sake of his daughter with Chloe. And while this might mean that I am just that good at guessing TV shows (I would like to think this....) it also means that the writers set expectations, followed through on those expectations, and didn't suddenly derail everything or turn it totally on its head just for the sake of cheap shocks. As we can all attest, they certainly caused PLENTY of drama, anguish, pain, and suffering, but they did it in a way that remained faithful to the overall premises of the story and the characters, and wanted to see them become the best versions of themselves. I cried my eyes out at the end and then thought, "hey, I might want to watch the whole series again," which, if you ask me, is the mark of doing your job right. There have been so few TV endings recently where I didn't immediately swear off the whole thing or have to pretend that canon didn't exist, so yeah.
As I said, it was just refreshing to watch something that had that essential deep generosity at its core, where the message is that everyone is worthy of love if they make the hard and painful effort to change and become better, and that even if earthly things feel small next to all this messy celestial drama, they still matter, and that you are loved no matter what. I loved that Amenadiel became God and Lucifer returned to hell as a choice in order to help all the trapped souls be able to work through their guilt and go to heaven. There were obviously certain echoes of The Good Place in that ending; I don't know if it was something they had planned all along or if the success of TGP, another series asking deep questions about life, death, morality, and human nature within the framework of a goofy heaven-and-hell sitcom, influenced it, but either way, it worked so well. Even if it tore my heart out and stomped on it on the ground, it was fitting and oh so lovely to see Lucifer, once the most selfish being in the entire universe, following in Linda's footsteps and becoming selflessly dedicated to helping other people. Just. Chef's kiss.
And of course, Deckerstar. The Hades and Persephone vibes were IMMACULATE this season, and while it did take Lucifer and Chloe the best part of four seasons to get together, they never significantly backslid, never had third-party issues or cheap cheating storylines once they were officially a couple, and Tom Ellis and Lauren German REALLY killed it this season in particular. It was never easy for them and sometimes the drama went on a little too long over the course of said six seasons, but the love story was beautiful and incredibly meaningful and always true to the fact that the actors and characters and writers (not to mention the fans) all loved it so much. They were so much the emotional heart of this, and when they went to hell together in episode 6x03 (where they turned into cartoons because wHAT even IS this show), Joe Henderson said in an interview that this was to give the fans a view into Lucifer and Chloe's future (after) lives post-6x10, and to offer them a basis to write fanfiction. I mean... the showrunner saying to the fans "here, we love you, have something to write fic about!" is likewise pretty shockingly rare. It's again an example of how this show always audaciously poked fun at itself, never took itself TOO seriously, and was always welcoming its fans and the people who loved it to do so, rather than making them feel stupid or taking joy in wrecking beloved characters or plots.
Obviously, I loved Rory, the badass lesbian half-angel goth Deckerstar child straight out of My Immortal (seriously, she was SO edgy, it was amazing), because of the fact that Lucifer's entire arc was always about feeling abandoned by his father and that he was going to have to face it for himself. Dorky Devil Dad Lucifer trying his absolute HARDEST to bond with his daughter was simultaneously hilarious, adorable, and heart-wrenching, and yet again, the Growth. We all remember when he could barely tolerate Trixie touching him, and now we're here. Also, any variation whatsoever of "this is just a brief moment of time that we must be apart, love is eternal and stronger than death and we will never really leave each other" as a line is guaranteed to make me bawl my eyes out. So that was fun.
I got a big kick out of Ghost Dan running around and trying to get everyone to see him, and had feelings about seeing him in heaven with Charlotte and his beloved Pudding Pops at the end. I had feelings about how they handled Ella finding out the truth (or rather demanding to know why nobody had told her) and of course, I obviously loved Maze and Eve and their goth/femme wedding and the fact that they got a good three-season romantic arc (indeed, I wanted more of them). My god, Trixie is SO BIG, she used to be a tiny little nugget. I love that Linda was the moral and emotional rock all along, from the first episode to the very last, and that Amenadiel was Deeply Vindicated when Charlie's wings appeared at his first birthday party. I love how Lucifer in s6 is absolute thousands of light years from Lucifer in s1. And as ever, Chloe was Perfect. I am happy that I spent six seasons with these characters and saw them become better, and that I was never made to feel like an idiot for trusting the writers to end everything in a beautiful and emotional way. Because, well. They did. Sure, maybe I could go back and pick at a plotline here or a detail there, but I don't terribly feel the need to do so? It might not have been perfect, but it was perfect, and I am so grateful that it existed.

Finished 5x08 and now I'm officially caught up!
My top 5 faves:
1. Chloe
2. Lucifer (Maze used to be #2 but the great character development Lucifer had in seasons 3 and 4 and some of the writing choices they made for Maze in season 3 lowered her and put him higher for me)
3. Ella
4. Maze
5. Linda
Other thoughts:
- Deckerstar is now one of my all time favorite ships. I loved their slowburn development and I completely buy their love. Watching S5a gave me so much serotonin.
- Season 3 was the weakest season. My favorite is probably S4 so far.
- I'm really scared that they're gonna kill off Dan :( He fucked up but he doesn't deserve that. I know they'll probably put a happy spin on it by having him reunite with Charlotte in heaven but he deserves to see Trixie grow up.
- Speaking of Charlotte....I love her and I miss her. Her storyline was probably the best thing about S3 and I'm sad we didn't get more of her.
- Maze/Eve are cute but Maze/Linda would be better and I wish the writers would let that be canon. At this point I think Maze loves Linda more than anyone aside from Trixie.
- I dislike a lot of the writing choices done with Maze and she's pissed me off more than once. But I still love her character and she makes me emotional. I hope she gets a soul.
- The mother was the best villain. Cain was the worst.
- The Linda/Amenadiel baby SL was....unexpected but I'm still waiting to see if it'll actually have a purpose lol.
- People who hate Chloe for S4 are boring. She made a mistake (a mistake that she later fixed) but that was one of the best seasons for her because it actually showed her POV. (One of the things I hated about S3 was the lack of Chloe POV). The Deckerstar angst in that season was also A+ and much better than the contrived triangle in S3.
- I understand why Chloe would have insecurities about Lucifer not saying the exact three words of 'I love you'. But I hope it doesn't become a huge drama between them because even if he hasn't said it in that exact way, I feel like it should still be pretty clear by now that he does love her.
- I felt so bad for Ella about the Pete stuff :( I had a bad feeling he was the killer and was sad when I saw that I was right.
- I would die for the Lucifer/Ella friendship
- That cliffhanger can gtfo lol. But I'm super interested in seeing what role God will play in S5B and how it'll affect the Michael storyline. But I kind of hope Michael doesn't get redemption.
Overall show rating: 8/10

30 Days of Fanfic (Days 1-10)
I saw this and thought it could be fun but since I was already a few days behind and a little all over the place, I decided to do them in batches of 10 questions. So here are the first ten days!
Day 1 - How did you get into fanfic?
- How did you first get into writing fanfic, and what was the first fandom you wrote for? What do you think it was about that fandom that pulled you in?
I don’t really remember how I got into fic anymore. It was my best friend that dragged me into it and I just... started reading?
The first fandom I wrote for was PJO. I have always loved Greek mythology so I just decided to... go for it. I never finished that fic, though (probably for the best as the ideas were awesome but the execution - not so much)
Day 2 - What fandoms have you written in?
- Name the fandoms you’ve written in, how much you’ve written in those fandoms, and if you still write in them.
That one isn’t so hard as I haven’t written in a lot of fandoms. Here are the ones that I have written in (in order of joining):
Once Upon a Time - 41 fanfics (I do have one collection that I need to finish in this fandom and tons of ideas but while I haven’t officially left the fandom and abandoned the fics, I am not really active there anymore. Which is a damn shame considering how many things I had planned for it. I don’t really feel the inspiration currently, though, but I haven’t given up on it completely.)
Fairy Tail - 8 fanfics (I mostly join any of the annual weeks for different ships in this fandom. I do have some ideas but I haven’t found the motivation for them yet. Even if a few of them were really cool and I loved them a lot.)
Winx Club - 86 fanfics (This one is my most active fandom currently. I do still write in it and I hope that will hold true for the foreseeable future as well.)
Lucifer - 1 fanfic (that was more of an experiment and I don’t really plan on writing more there)
Day 3 - Favorite characters?
- For each of the fandoms you have written in, what were/are your favorite characters to write? Why were these characters your favorite? (Can be main, side, established, or original!)
Um, okay. Let’s see.
Once Upon a Time - Regina Mills was my favorite character to write because I was mostly interested in her and I could see a lot of similarities between us. I wanted to explore more of her and her relationships with the other characters.
Fairy Tail - I don’t think I really had a favorite character to write here. They were all sort of... hard to get? And I haven’t written nearly enough of anyone to be able to pick a favorite.
Winx Club - I want to say Griffin but I think I might love writing Valtor just a tad bit more. At least at the moment. Maybe it is that he is more emotional and impulsive and I can get behind that and know how to write it? I also related a lot with some things about him and other times it is simply fun to write him when he is being an asshole. But there’s also a lot of emotional stuff to explore there. I don’t really know. I just love writing him.
Lucifer - Uhh... I only really wrote two characters from there and from them Chloe Decker was certainly the one that was easier so I chose to write my only fic from her PoV. I love the characters on the show but I don’t think I get them enough to write them that well yet so I am not pushing to do it.
Day 4 - Muse/special character?
- Do you have a ‘muse’ character(s), that speaks to you more than others, or that tries to push their way in, even when the fic isn’t about them? Who are they, and why did that character(s) became your muse? Are they a canon character or an OC?
Did I mention Valtor? Man, talk about trying to write something that he doesn’t sneak in. The few fics that I was actually focusing on other characters didn’t suffer from this but a fic that has Griffin inevitably brings out the need to at least mention Valtor in it as well. I have had to actively restrain myself from bringing him in a couple of times when I really wanted to write about anything else other than their relationship. I guess that is my muse. XD Not one of them separately but the two of them together. I am having all the feelings about them. Let’s leave it off here because I will get too many feelings otherwise.
Day 5 - Envisioning characters?
- Do you have techniques you use to help you visualise a character, such as picrews, faceclaims, moodboards, or fanart? Have you commissioned or created art to go with your fics, or provided references (picrews, faceclaims etc) for readers or yourself?
I am the worst at envisioning characters. I think it might be because I am trying to get in the mindset of the character so if I am in their head, I can’t see their appearance. (Maybe I should try writing with a mirror nearby. XD) I do make aesthetics but their purpose isn’t that much to help me envision the characters. I mostly avoid the envisioning part by focusing on emotional things and if I absolutely have to write descriptions, I try to keep it minimalistic. I have done sort of a picrew thing for my original characters but not for any fandom I’m in. A friend of mine made an illustration for one of my fics but it was after I wrote it and she actually used what I had managed to envision already to paint the thing. Envisioning characters is not my strength and I don’t even know how I function as a writer despite that.
Day 6 - Gender Preference?
- When you write, do you have a gender preference for your protagonist and/or the rest of the cast? Is it the same or different from your own gender? Do you feel your own gender is well represented, and how do you go about accurately portraying genders different from your own?
I couldn’t care less for the protagonist’s gender. I write the story from the PoV that is best for it. I try to focus on the personality of the character rather than on any other characteristics.
Day 7 - Fic affecting your view of a character?
- Have you ever had a fic you’ve written change your opinion of a character? Or has a fic you’ve read changed your opinion on a character?
Probably only... every fic I’ve ever written? I mean, as you write, your vision on the characters develops and, essentially, changes. There have certainly been fics that have made me reflect more or in a different way on an aspect of a character and have led me to change my view of that character in a way. It is kind of the point of being in a fandom and reading other people’s fics, I’d say.
Day 8 - OCs
- Do you write OCs? And if so, what do you do to make certain they’re not Mary Sues, and if not, explain your thoughts on OCs.
I only write OCs when the story demands it as it demands positions that the existing characters can’t fill for whatever reason. Or when the person has existed in canon but was never introduced on screen (as in someone’s parents that we never saw). I am not a fan of OCs because I go to fanfiction for the characters I already know and love. If I wanted completely new characters that I am unfamiliar with, I would turn to original fiction. I was fascinated with the characters I saw on the screen/in the book and I want to know more about them and the relationships between them. I am not interested in what OCs can be made in that world.
Day 9 - Favorite pairings and your comfort zone
- What are your favorite pairings to write in your fandoms? Have you ever gone outside your comfort zone and written a pairing you liked, but found you couldn’t write, or a pairing you didn’t like, and found you could?
I’m just gonna talk about Winx Club because it is my only truly active fandom.
Griffin x Valtor is my OTP. I love them to death and have so many ideas about them.
Now as for pairing that I like but can’t write, I don’t think I have ever encountered such. In this fandom at least. (Maybe in Lucifer Deckerstar is a bit too hard to nail.)
Pairing that I don’t like but can (kinda) write must be Icy x Valtor which I did write on request and that particular concept was actually very fun to work with. I wouldn’t say it has “converted“ me or something, however.
Generally, I stick to what I like. I might try my hand at writing a pairing that I am curious about but I don’t like to waste my time on ships I don’t like.
Day 10 - Writer's block and procrastination
- Have you ever experienced writer's block or an impeded ability to write? How do you tackle a loss of motivation or executive function, and/or how does procrastination hinder (or help) you?
I don’t really think I’ve had writer’s block once I started writing consistently and not once every two months. I have had certain ideas that needed more time to get ready for being written but I never really stopped writing. I have had days when I was too mentally exhausted to write but the solution to that was to just step away for a while and let my brain rest. The problem wasn’t truly in the writing so with some time to recharge my batteries, I was back on track.
I mostly force myself through loss of motivation telling myself that I have too many awesome ideas that I will never be able to write if I don’t just get to it. And I always work on what I am feeling like tackling right now. Even if it isn’t necessarily what I would’ve wanted to work on.
Executive dysfunction can be a bitch. It is hard to get past it and I don’t think I really know how I do it.
Procrastination is probably the hill I will die on because I am too nervous to get to the next one. I don’t really have a tried-and-true solution for it as I am usually aware that I am procrastinating and yet, I can’t stop doing it and make myself be productive. Usually what gets me to drop it and start working is the itch to write and the feeling that I will literally explode if I don’t write. So I think it is that the desire to just write something whatever that may be defeats the fear that it will suck and I finally manage to get to it. I am just too excited about my projects sometimes. XD

I followed you because of Lucifer but now I am getting interested in Yu-Gi-Oh and was wondering if it has a manga and if so is it good?
Ah! I’m gonna be honest, I always assumed if I was gonna sway people from one fandom to the other: it was going to be the other way around. So cool that the random YGO posts actually piqued your interest!
Yes, there is a manga! It is 343 chapters long. I’m personally quite fond of it. Keep in mind that it is a product of its time so the early humor is very mid-late-90s (especially in its treatment of female characters/the male gaze, which mostly drops off by about volume 7). If you want to read the manga in English, the official translations are done by Viz’s English division (I think they’re mostly sold as omnibus with multiple volumes now). I cannot attest to the quality of Viz’s translation though. I originally read the manga in Chinese and have since reviewed the unofficial English scanlations instead. There are a number of sites out there where you can find the scanlations, but they are of varying quality (from good to bad).
I think reading the first 60 chapters/7 volumes will help determine how you might want to continue consuming the canon. Obviously, if you like the manga, you can and should finish it. It will give you the entire story.
If your favorite parts were the following, you may want to consider also looking at the following:
You liked the varied games/episodic nature/dark mood/high stakes of the early manga, you might want to watch the first Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series by Toei. It was never localized in English, so you would have to watch it with Japanese audio and English subtitles. There appears to be an English fandub project on Youtube, but I cannot attest to its quality. This anime is a bit hard to find now, but it must still be out there for torrenting if you want. This anime adapts those first 60 chapters with some creative license.
If you crave the card game and somewhat higher quality animation, check out the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters! There are 224 episodes and completely glosses over those early 60 chapters. Some of it is implied to have happened, but it can taken as a separate continuity. The story still more or less ends up at the same place as the manga’s ending. You can legally watch all the seasons except for the last one (for some reason) in the Japanese audio with subs in the US on Crunchyroll.com. If you want to watch it in English, the 4Kids dub is available in the US on Hulu. I honestly do not recommend the English dub if you’re interested in the story. We didn’t have readily available options back in 2005, thankfully we do now.
If you enjoy Kaiba Seto as a character, omg, definitely watch the Duel Monsters anime. There are entire filler arcs devoted to Kaiba’s characterization/development. No one stans Kaiba Seto as hard as the series animators istg.
“Oh, this is all so dumb, how can anyone take this stuff seriously?” Check out Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series, a fandub devoted to lampooning all the ridiculousness 10+ years in the making
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
Also if you’re looking at my YGO content, you’re also looking at my puppyshipping/violetshipping content? My ship is so very not canon. I dunno. I feel like I should flag that since Deckerstar is very canon and Kaijou is very not. Yay! Expectation setting!

Trouble by Design -- Chapter 12/16 is up!
Thank you for the patience on the publishing schedule while I took in S4! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!
I also hope you will continue with me as this story reaches its last chapters! I'm excited about it, even though we are now officially in canon-divergent AU territory. This story is a "what if" of Deckerstar getting together precipitously quickly and then dealing with the messy post-S3 fallout.

I just want you to know that I'm officially caught up on Lucifer and I LOVE IT. IT'S AMAZINGGGGGGGGGG, MAZE IS A QUEEN, DECKERSTAR OWNS MY SOUL, ELLA IS ADORABLE, EVERY TIME SOMEONE INTERACTS WITH TRIXIE I DIE OF CUTE. AND EVERY TIME TOM ELLIS SINGS? GAH! BASICALLY IT'S THE BEST, THANK YOU FOR RECCING IT :D
YESSSSSSS
I’m so happy! I was sure you’d love it, we basically have the same (fabulous) taste! That, plus Lucifer is a legitimately great show. No but I’M SO HAPPY! Deckerstar is honestly my favorite (sort of) canon ship in years. So well written. And MAZE? AND ELLA? AND TRIXIE? AND LINDA? AND QUEEN CHLOE? AND LUCIFER HIMSELF? :’)
Thank you for giving it a shot. I can’t wait for next Monday’s finale, and then we have S3 to look forward to! :D
Oh and thank you for letting me know you loved it! I keep saying it, I feel sort of guilty for posting Lucifer on a previously Barisi-exclusive blog, so when people tell me they got into the show because of my reblogs, it just makes me happy
So thanks again :D
(ok guys starting today’s blogging with an ask, next I’ll move to reblogs, and yes i’ll reblog a handful of lucifer gifsets first, you’re welcome, and then i’ll post my finale episode thoughts, which i’m currently working on!)
