Can you do a Harry potter X Female Hufflepuff Reader were he notices Y/n’s knuckles are bruised and when he asks why she tells him it happened punching one of her housemates after they tried forcing her to wear a potter stinks badge.
Y/N rubs her knuckles…
Harry: what happened?
Y/N: jerks wanted me to wear a Potter Stinks badge. I wouldn’t.
Harry: oh…thank you
Y/N: I don’t think you stink at all
Y/N hugs Harry, who hugs right back…

For all my HHr shippers!!
An incredibly popular Percabeth trope is them meeting mortals who are often jealous. They're incredibly cliche, and often incredibly fun. Would anyone be interested in a Muggles Meet Harmione fic? The idea has been bouncing around in my head for awhile.

Question in TBOTS how tall do you imagine each character? Especially for James and Teddy
Well I made this chart of James and Teddy, though I couldn't decide if James should be 5'6", 5'7" or 5'8" so I settled on 5'7". I imagine Teddy is about the same height as Remus though, a tall young man 🥰
Tumblr media
I think Lily is about the same height as James, give or take an inch, while Albus is a bit taller, taking on some of Arthur Weasley's tall genes (I'm so obsessed with the older sibling being the shortest it is my fave thing ever. I also think I'm one of the few people who headcanon Albus as "tall" idk why). I guess I could make like a list, but the Weasley family is all pretty tall so I imagine most of the cousins to be average to tall height, know? Especially the women. Give me tall women or give me death 😩❤️
Teddy: 6'2"
Victoire: 6'
Dominique: 5'11"
Fred: 5'6"
Roxanne: 5'6"
Louis: 5'7"
James: 5'7"
Rose: 5'10"
Albus: 5'10"
Scorpius: 5'9.5"
Lily: 5'8"
Lysander: 5'9"
Lorcan: 5'8.5"
Hugo: 6'
MJ: 5'6"
Lucy: 5'3"
Bonus: Caleb is 5'9". Teddy doesn't technically tower over him, but he could still squish him like a bug ☺️
(I don't really judge their height on the actors like a lot of people do, if that helps explain some of these headcanons.)

Voodoo Child ; Draco Malfoy - O n e (on Wattpad) https://www.wattpad.com/1266436110-voodoo-child-draco-malfoy-o-n-e?utm_source=web&utm_medium=tumblr&utm_content=share_reading&wp_uname=betrayedbyhumanity&wp_originator=14w2naK5IQVSuUokUMElnNp18h8BilCelCscYzp6iKBlzBTZPpGKl1FY7Qmizg3c5E9CjUYhIVuFOsEcDJDAicx1LdlwrG8wDGExOvVmOb6BJmzxcAgsPMpsxCa80ubO Genevieve Diggory, Cedric Diggory's younger sister, is the furthest from your typical Slytherin. Sure, she's clever, ambitious and determined, but she's also loud, boisterous and quite frankly, a bit of a geek. 'Slytherin's sore thumb'. She doesn't quite fit in with her group of friends, but that's why they make the best pack. But when Slytherin's so called prince unexpectedly catches feelings for this outcast, how will he maintain his ego and persona to the rest of the house without jeopardizing his chances.

I saw someone say they think sparrows always wearing a bathrobe like some kind of deranged housewife, and I have not stopped thinking about it. Now I can't stop imagining him as that one picture of Daniel Radcliffe:

Barry Oak would be SO disappointed.

I'm really curious what 'other people's awkwardness' refers to. I imagine it as people acting like the kiss aspect required a mountain of nebulous 'sensitivity' rather then the break up aspect.
That scene probably wasn't all that enjoyable to film for reasons that have almost nothing to do with a kiss happening, and in his shoes I'd probably be annoyed if people were acting like a kiss was monumental ask while the preceding emotional breakdown into shutdown was comparatively no big deal.
I'm reminded of an interview moment from Daniel Radcliffe, where people had kept asking him how he felt about portraying gay love scenes as if it was something shocking or shameful, and he goes off on how his costar's character in the movie kills a person, and no one is asking the costar how he feels about that.

as a person on the inside of the animation industry, are there signs that we might be heading to another dark age of animation like the 1980s (e.g. animation is regulated to just glorified toy commercials or dark fantasy movies)?
"Kid Vid" regulations mean you can't advertise for stuff kids might buy from within a show anymore. Generally, you can't even have (say) Yogi Bear wearing a shirt with his best friend BooBoo's face on it as a gag, because "what if someone made that shirt one day?" Then it would be a retroactive ad, I guess? I'm not schooled in reverse-time law like studio lawyers, so I can't really say. Still, it's almost impossible to get even a fictional product into a kid's show these days, so I think the 1980s will probably stay in their timeline. At least in that way.
I do think a bit of a "Dark Age" is upon us, though. Maybe just a small one. Just a wee little snip of a Dark Age is all.
As far as I can glean, there are going to be precious few animated shows coming out over the next couple of years because not much was picked up during the pandemic. There are only a few things being developed here and there, and I'd wager that those properties "win" simply by existing in a competition-free environment. It takes a long time to produce animation, so almost anything greenlit right now is looking at a full year for turnaround. If you talk to people in the industry right now about jobs, they use words like "wastelend" and "ramen noodles".
Then you've got A.I., of course. The other night I was having dinner with a friend and I found myself in the A.I. conversation I always imagined myself having one day-- the one where we're talking with some immediacy about what the rest of our futures look like as artists, because we know they're not going to look the same ever again. It was pretty cool in a William Gibson sort of way, but I honestly didn't expect to be having that conversation for another decade. Turns out A.I. is becoming a problem right now.
I've already talked about the "art theft" angle, and that's not the problem I'm speaking about here. The problem I'm talking about is the "what do I do when what I do becomes trivial?" problem. If anyone can make a TV show or movie in a week or a day using AI assistance, who determines what gets seen? Networks, I'd imagine, would become redundant. You don't need to fork over $15 a month for Netflix if you can make Netflix-quality content yourself. And if you can't make anything decent even with A.I. assistance, surely someone on the internet can. There would be an incredible glut of content to choose from, so again... who decides what gets seen? An algorithm, probably. Who owns the algorithm?
Peak Dark Age will be the time period when the networks realize that they're going to die, and sink all of their resources into forcing their own survival on the rest of us. I imagine massive layoffs (you don't need multiple writers or artists or support staff when you've got the right tools.) Studios will want to own the tools (of course) and/or suppress the use of those tools by anyone who might want to cut into their profits. Expect to see "A.I. is just too dangerous for the public to utilize, so it needs to be left in the capable hands of corporations". Expect to see customizable Batmans, the ability to put your mom in any Star Wars, and the serialized fever-dreams of billionaires.
I think that's the next 5-10 years. And while that's happening, the tools will keep getting better and better until literally anyone can sit down, ask for an Oscar-worthy part-rom-com/part action movie starring a twenty-five year old Steve McQueen and and eighty year old Daniel Radcliffe rescuing Air Bud from the Death Star, and then watch the resulting film with some degree of satisfaction. There'll come a point when content of any visual, auditory, and written complexity can be generated on-the-fly, and the traditional limits of budgets and schedules will just be gone.
It's easy to spin off into fantasy and try to guess exactly what's coming. I could probably spin on that all day. But what I know is that the future of the animation industry won't look anything like what I've become accustomed to. And maybe that's okay because what I've become accustomed to looks nothing like the industry I started in. Things change, and you roll with the punches. Thanks to the self-fulfilling dystopian prophecy we find ourselves in, just about everyone on the planet is finding themselves rolling with the punches coming from the Powerful Greedy. That's less a "me problem" and more a planet-wide problem we should probably all sit down and hash out, like, yesterday.
My immediate problem as an artist (and yours if you're an artist too) is figuring out how to get your ideas seen in a world where the amount of entertainment content is exploding exponentially. Especially if you're the sort of artist who needs to eat and live somewhere.
So yeah, I think there's going to be just a little peppering of Dark Age coming up. But in every time of change, there are opportunities. Hey, I'm down for an animated Dark Fantasy movie. Let's do this!

JK Rowling is a rich woman – but if she had a penny for every cancellation attempt levelled at her, she’d be an even richer one. A Comic Con in Newham had planned to host a panel from the West End play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, but cancelled the event after complaints from LGBT+ organisation Switchboard.
For some trans activists, Rowling doesn’t even have to be in the vicinity to cause emotional distress. In fact, it seems the very presence of she-who-must-not-be-named’s “intellectual property” was enough to make Switchboard concerned about “the potential impact on our community, particularly trans individuals”. MCM Comic Con announced that it had cancelled the panel, despite describing the event as an opportunity “to hear from the production team working behind the scenes”. So potent is Rowling’s power to offend, that even stage managers working on adaptations of her work are too tainted for trans activists.
But what MCM Comic Con and other similarly spineless organisations fail to recognise, is that public support is firmly behind the Potter creator. A recent poll of readers conducted by Amazon found that Rowling’s first novel – Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone – had one of the top five greatest opening lines of all time. It’s no secret that the Potter books are the best-selling fantasy series, having sold over 500 million worldwide and published in over 85 languages. Harry Potter is the The Little Prince of my generation – Rowling’s imagination continues to be an entry point for many young book lovers.
In fact, it’s worth asking whether Switchboard and others are genuine when they claim that simply being near anything related to Rowling might be harmful to their “community”. What happens when a co-worker turns up with a Hogwarts mug? Should copies of The Goblet of Fire be banned from the tube, lest “trans individuals” feel unsafe? Halloween is round the corner – how will these individuals fare on streets filled with wands, wizard hats and toddlers with fake scars on their foreheads?
Most of us know the truth – that there are very few trans individuals who feel threatened by Rowling or her work, or indeed agree with the characterisation of Rowling as a transphobic bigot. The author has responded to this emotive, heated debate with respect and calmness. It is wholly unfair for Potter brats like Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, or organisations like Switchboard, to seek to condemn Rowling in the name of the trans community.
JK Rowling is the woman who can't be cancelled

Celebrities I think would go well with one of the tumblr vibes:
Neil Gaiman, obviously. He's our cryptid.
Fight me on this, but Ryan Reynolds is deadpool in the flesh and deadpool has like, created this site or smth.
Tom Felton. Honestly, does he have a blog here called drarryking? I bet he's here already in hiding.
David Tennant. But like....on accident. He wouldn't understand shit on this side. He's already living a pseud and would take a new one specially for tumblr and post totally normal stuff and like... Visit this side once a month, cause he get's like 5 reblogs out of it. Then he sends a cat meme which goes off and he'd be totally lost. He would also, unironically, text neil Gaiman for the next season of good omens in the ask box and get a "wait and see" answer out of it.
Colin Morgan. I just think it would be funny, if he were here, not even with a pseud or posting anything at all. He'd have like no Interactions, he'd just be here on an empty blog to see what's going on and is silently surprised that the merlin fandom is still alive. He wouldn't even do it often. Just like... Once a year on accident, when he suddenly remembers that he has a blog here. On the Chance that he interacts, he's instantly blocked, cause we think he's a bot.
Taika Waititi. The poor chaos of this man. He's a creator. He'd post memes and updates of his works and still somehow end up among the average tumblr user ratio.
Mary Shelly. If she were alive. Or maybe that doesn't matter in her case.
Alice Oseman. But that doesn't count. She rose from the tumblr grave and made herself known to the outside world. She was born here and here she will live. The outside get's to see what she accomplished, but we are her roots and the grovel that shaped her.
These are all the people that I know. I'm bad with names and mostly watch cartoons. Lel.
People who I think shouldn't/ wouldn't be on this side:
Anthony Head. I want him here though, lol.
Bradley James. Yes, i'm going through the merlin cast first. And Bradley is cool and all. But he doesn't have the vibe.
Angel Coulby. I dunno. I think she's above this hellsite. She'd be falling from grace and I simply cannot imagine it.
Katie McGrath. Albeit a close one.
Michael Sheen. He's chaotic enough. But I can't imagine it. Maybe i'm reading too much Aziraphael in his character. But he's the chaos on a good website, while David is the good on the hellsite.
Elliot Page. I dunno. I think he would go to a cooler website, like instagram or i dunno. Even facebook. He'd be welcome here, and I think he might visit from time to time. But I don't think he'd have a blog of their own.
Daniel Radcliff. No?
jensen Ackles. I don't think tumblr could handle him
Misha collins. He's here. Kinda. In spirit. But he can't quite reach us. He's the ghost that haunts us. He can't have a blog.
Disclaimer:
#this is a Personal headcanon. You can disagree or agree with all of these and I won't be offended. This is meant as a joke.
# some of these people might already be here. Reality overrules my headcanons.
#i realise I mostly know male actors. But Not knowing things is my right as a person.
#please add your own ideas, or disprove mine. This could be fun :)
