Nature Finds a Way Darkness holds things still No breath of breeze We all hold our breath The clouds take it from us. Will there be rain? Will it cleanse and sustain? Or, be destructive and uproot us? Nature finds its way. The breath, released violently There’s unwelcome movement all around Trees fall without resistance For some, this is the end. For some, they grasp tenuously Roots and trunk grasp soil Enough to cling to a semblance of life Nature finds a way.
