While I get why they didn't include it (because 4e fucked with the tieflings and now we have archdevil tieflings and the og hereditary tieflings in the same space, and the former are hogging the limelight) I think it would've been interesting to have Bhaal tieflings as a subrace option. They wouldn't look as flashy as the others - no horns, no technicolour skin or tail, for example (unless their mortal parent was a tiefling who looked like that, I guess) - but they would be highly inclined towards violence and murder. Deity descended planetouched are known for having birthmarks in the shape of their ancestor's holy sumbol, so maybe they'd have the Circle of Tears, or a bone dagger marked somewhere on their skin.

I mean, Durge's origin pretty much covers everything they'd bring to the table, so it's obsolete, but the thought stays in my head:

The first generation Bhaalspawn did reproduce: Abazigal had at least one son; Yaga-Shura was attempting to create half-giant progeny; most of the romance epilogues feature children (this was intentional, the original BG3 was supposed to have Charname's child as the protagonist, apparently). There were hundreds of Bhaalspawn who reached adulthood; many of them would've had the opportunity to marry or have children, knowingly or accidentally.

I've said this before, but again, the offspring of a quasi-deity and a mortal is a tiefling, genasi or aasimar and the divine blood may go dormant and activate generations down the line too. It's also not unknown for the planetouched to become pawns in their ancestor's games, and entire lineages (not simply the first half-outsider child alone) may be created intentionally.

Notably, Abazigal's son Draconis - a grandchild of Bhaal, and not a demigod - was not part of the giant prophecy his father, aunts and uncles were drowning the world in blood over (except as a pawn of his own half-mortal father, anyway). These planetouched mortal children would've been passed over unharmed and unnoticed (too unimportant on the divine stage). I wonder how many of Bhaal's grandchildren and great-grandchildren are running around? How many cousins might Orin have? How many nieces and nephews might have Bhaal's strings tied around them? Is resist Durge going to leave behind their sister/niece drama only to run into another one in the future?

(I am aware that it appears BG3 has ignored/handwaved away the existence/possibility of these guys: I don't care. BG2 left these plot threads and I will be taking then and running off with it.)

ACHILLE will pull more than three groups of mobs before stopping, or if evander uses Rescue to yank him back to the current trash pack. achille will prioritize AoE attacks on 4+ enemies; he rarely uses defensive cooldowns. with telegraphs, achille will not move out of the affected area in time and will take the hit without defense, and he will not join/separate from the group during stack/spread mechanics. when dealing with bosses, achille has a special mechanic in which he goes berserk based on the amount of damage he receives (he takes tankbusters with full force to build his gauge). also, he will not use Limit Break unless he's the last one standing. EVANDER is a slow healer, but his AoE and single-target DoT attacks are powerful and he prioritizes damage over healing. while his healing AoE's are limited, his single-target heals are strong based on the amount of health lost. if an ally takes avoidable damage, evander will not heal right away until they drop to a certain percentage. evander will buff allies with his tinctures and other concoctions to boost their damage output. if an ally is K.O.'d, evander has phoenix downs available due to his inability to cast Raise. he will prioritize raising paris or achille first, patroclus is last. evander does not use Limit Break unless absolutely necessary. PARIS is a selfish and aggressive dps and will often steal the Limit Break as soon as it's ready. if achille is unable to pull the next trash pack, paris will run ahead and bait the mobs to him. they follow mechanics properly most of the time and can avoid telegraphs easily due to the echo—the others will subsequently follow paris to a safe spot. as a melee dps, paris doesn't move far from the boss in order to get maximum damage from their attacks. paris tends to use their own restorative cooldowns if they drop to a certain percentage. PATROCLUS stands back from the group while he delivers ranged magical attacks. due to his arcanist-based skills, patroclus can summon pets into battle to aid allies and defeat foes. besides this, he can copy enemies with his special ink and make minions out of them. but his pets aren't invulnerable; as they are created from his aether, should they take too much damage it transfers to patroclus, similar to a DoT bleed, until they despawn. patroclus is most affected by enemy AoE's and will take the most damage as he is slow in moving out of telegraphs. stack markers usually fall on patroclus or other boss mechanics. if paris is in the party, patroclus will not cast Limit Break. if evander is K.O.'d, patroclus will cast Raise.

DDWCaPH! Twin Character Templates!

The character templates needed a bit of updating with Chapter 4 coming out, so... here you go!

Yup, this is how I imagine Rosie's scrapbook would look like. There's two pages, with the first page having two different versions depending on the locket shape.

Anyway, I hope you all have fun with it if you decide to use it! And please tag/share it with me if you do! 😊

Below are some tips/further details on how to fill the template:

Click the image first, then open the image in a new tab before saving the image or else it'll be in low resolution

You can use Picrew or something similar for your character portraits

There's too many locket color combinations, so it's really up to you how you want to color the lockets

The bar beside "Level 12" is where you put your character class/dream job

The three options beside "Lungsod City" is your background (Middle Class, Country Child, Impoverished, respectively)

The blanks in the "Say Hello To" section is for your stuffed toy's creature type, if your pet is a cat/dog, and of course their names

You can add your twin's secret language in the "We Can Speak In..." section, as well as other languages in your headcanon

If you're not sure what your MC's enneagram type is, you can see it in the traits section of the stats screen (the number emoji), or at the choices summary at the end of the demo. Your MC's type is determined when you choose your birthday wish in the prologue (first option is Type 1, second option is Type 2, and so on)

The blanks in the "Twin Dynamics" section is how MC calls their twin (Kuya/Ate or brother/sister/sibling), and the second one is what word they use to call Maggie

There's a little circle next to B and Paddy's emojis that you can mark to indicate the gender you have chosen for them

The personality stats/attributes/relationships could be either the in-game stats or your headcanon, it's up to you

The font of the pre-written canon information is Segoe Print, but think of it as Rosie's handwriting. You can just erase them if you want

In other news, life transitions. Everything is a mess, has been for a month now, but something I've been looking forward to has finally happened today. Inevitability can be a beautiful thing when the outcome is one so sweet. Work remains as it always does; hoping to carve out a bit more time for myself to return to it. Worried, but hopeful. Soon I will have my peace back again - all's left to do is to hold on through the end of the storm.
