Getting emotional over the fact that I’ve always been angry at Ford saying “I was young, Razputin, I made a mistake” over and over, when the reality is he was MIDDLE AGED AT LEAST when he used the astralathe. Like that’s one thing.

But then realizing Raz is ten and has spent the whole time learning the real responsibilities of being psychic and integrating that into his actions moving forward. He made one bad connection in Hollis’s mind and it turned into a catastrophe. He nearly got kicked out on his first day because that was Not Okay and NOT who the Psychonauts aim to be.

To learn that your idol, your hero, the founder of the Psychonauts, acted so horrifically against those values, and that it specifically fucked with your family and your life. God that’s unforgivable. The Never Meet Your Heroes aspect of Ford and Raz’s relationship is so juicy and I love fanwork that explores it.

people dont talk enough about how heartbreaking the marlon betrayal mustve been for clem too,,

this dude saves the life of her and her kid. takes them in has them patched up gives them their first hot meal in who knows how long. gives them a safe place to stay. possibly permanently. confides in her that hes trying to be a good leader but feels like and fears that hes failing. asks her to help him take care of the rest of the group. helps her get over her fear of dogs by asking her to trust him. and things go well. she feels safe. like this place could really finally be the home shes been looking for

but as soon as she finds out what happened to the twins. that marlon planned on giving up her and aj too. she immediately becomes a liability to him and he attempts to kill her for it. locks her in the basement to die by walker. then tries to turn the group against her so he can shoot her instead when the first method fails. and he nearly succeeds

then a majority of the group turn against clem the minute aj kills marlon. ignoring marlons mistakes but condemning aj for his. like clem wasnt betrayed by marlon in the exact same way he betrayed the twins. like she literally wasnt almost killed twice? and how long had he been considering giving her up? was it always some contingency he planned? did he truly want to keep them around and things only changed when he feared the raiders had returned? she'll never know

#i think about this a lot... the betrayal... clems deep trust issues... then they all want to kick her out (except vi aasim and tenn 💕) #when she was just as impacted if not more so than the rest of them. since she was the only one with her Life on the line #thats why violet fighting so hard for them to stay is so important imo and would MEAN SO MUCH to clem too #vi and aasim are the only ones who can see past the bullshit and realize that theyre safer with clem around #while the rest would rather kick her out so they dont have to acknowledge their confused feelings about marlon #like first marlon betrays her then the rest of the group tell her to get fucked and die. dont come back. we never want to see you again #but she does. and she saves them #personally i do think marlon had 'good' intentions but he was a scared and fucked up kid who made bad decisions #and continued to make bad decisions to cover for his previous fuck ups #but that just makes him interesting :) #and i like teaching aj the difference between people like marlon and people like lilly #all of clems 'wow i feel so safe here :) and these guys seem smart :)' personal dialogue around ericsons makes me 😭 #she was so happy to be at ericsons. and they turn against her so fast when she was more of a victim than any of them #aj is a literal baby. do not treat him like an adult who can make fully rationalized decisions. hes a baby and he only knows survival #at least they slowly get over it after clem comes back (some take longer than others...) #but the lack of compassion in voting to kick them out is heartbreaking. she was heartbroken #and thats not acknowledged as much as it should be #posting this old drafted post now cuz it expands my feelings on clems broken heartedness about the marlon situation #it speaks #twdg

Dream is visiting the dream of a little kitten

Dream is visiting a the dreamscape of a little cat and she dreams of what most cats dream of. Warm sun patches and fresh meals. Endless fields of grass that they can run through. She dreams of catching birds and the taste of rainwater. 

She also dreams of her owner. Dream can feel the affection. The love she feels as he watches her dream. Can feel the happiness at hearing her name being called. 

And then. 

Her dream takes proper shape. And he can see the way her dreamscape turns into a mirror of her life. The flat she lives in. The tall pink cat tree in the living room that she likes to climb. Her owner takes shape too. A soft smiling face and whiskey brown eyes. Hair that looks so soft that often Dream wants to reach and touch it. Hob Gadling is talking to the kitten. She doesn’t understand him, of course, but she grows happier the more he talks to her. 

She purrs as he reaches to scratch her chin and stretches long as he picks her up to hold her. She loves him so much and he clearly loves and cares for her in turn. 

Dream watches and feels a warmth deep inside him at how gentle this man he has known so long has become. This man that has fought in numerous wars and fought and clawed his way out (and back into) so much struggle and only ever tells Dream the most notable aspects of his life. He doesn’t get to see these little tender moments. 

The dream changes and Hob is alseep on the sofa. A fire is crackling in the fireplace and the kitten tip toes along his chest and curls up. The softest most beautiful smile spreads on Hob’s face and the kitten gives his chin some little kisses. 

Dream feels his whole body get warmer as he watches. Seeing this soft intimate moment of his friend. He feels longing. He wants to see more of these moments. Wants to live in these moments. See them first hand. He wants to watch Hob curl up on the couch and maybe lay down with him.

i need tommy to see buck's lightning scars.

at first glance there's concern written all over tommy's face, but he doesn't say: so this is what you do for fun huh? even if he's just teasing bc he knows it might come off as judgemental. he knows the life of a first responder, he knows the risk to it, knows the selflessness that's needed, and that's aside from the whole adrenaline rush being exhilarating thing. he's not going to judge buck for the scars he got while putting his life on the line to help people. and he's not going to let any worry he might feel over the thought of buck getting hurt (now) make buck feel bad for doing his job.

tommy doesn't say anything, he's just taking it all in. and buck gets a little insecure about it, a little nervous at what tommy thinks of it, of him. does he think buck is too reckless? too damaged? is he second guessing this thing between them (again)?

- and this doesn't even need to be in the lead up to sex or whatever. maybe buck is just getting dressed, and when he sees tommy staring at him he moves his shirt almost subconsciously to cover up.

but tommy steps in close and anchors buck in place with a hand on his hip, the other one tracing fingertips out from the centrepoint of the scar. and there's just something about tommy's touch: grounding, reverent, fond. something in buck settles and he exhales, the tension sloughing off like a weight fallen from his shoulders and chest.

and.. idk. maybe tommy says something adoring about them? adoring buck? maybe buck asks him a nervous question and tommy just leans down to press his mouth to one of the branches in lieu of answering then trails kisses up and up until he's at buck's neck and jaw while his thumb sweeps over buck's hipbone. and then he murmurs against buck's lips that he better let him finish getting ready otherwise they're going to be late.

and buck kisses him until he's breathless.

and it's so much more fun than getting struck by lightning.

crowley wants aziraphale to be flawed, he tempts him to let go of that preconceived notion that he needs to be pure and angelic. introducing him to human pleasures is their whole thing. i’ve seen meta about him holding aziraphale to unrealistic standards but that’s just not true imo? he sees him for everything he is, everything he isn’t, all of his human qualities and messiness, and loves him anyway. loves him like a God is supposed to love. etc.

While everyone's out here talking about LMK Season 4, I'm going to be the weird one and talk about the previous seasons because I'm trying to have some self-control and not post too many spoilers (Plus, it's been a while since I've gone through the first two seasons in their entirety). Unfortunately for everyone else, I'm just going to talk about Tang because I love him that much.

AND OH my goodness I totally forgot how different Tang's voice sounds in A Hero is Born compared to later in the show. It sounds so weirddddd. Not bad by any means, just weird.

ALSO, THE CHANGE IN ART STYLE?! I don't think I realized just how much it shifted over the course of the show. It isn't drastic, but definitely noticeable.

It's a much rounder and notably more defined style in later episodes. I'd be willing to bet there was a push to make the characters look even more like Lego models because they are definitely closer to the actual Lego figures after season 1.
