"Z-Zero?" A meek voice rings out in the temporary headquarters of the Black Knights.

Lelouch blinks from behind his mask and looks away from some documents to look at the voice that had called him. (Y/N) was there, playing with her hair and with her pink-tinged cheeks, avoiding eye contact with her leader. The boy lets out a small sigh behind his mask, annoyed at being disturbed.

"What happens?" (Y/N) flinches at his words and shifts uncomfortably, the pink turning red on her cheeks.

"W-well, Tamaki told me you wanted to talk to me about the plan..." Lelouch's purple eyes narrow: he had never told Tamaki to call her. Damn Tamaki, he did it to embarrass him, the boy thinks.

The leader is both frustrated by the interruption of his work and annoyed by Tamaki's prank, but he suppresses the urge to get angry to avoid scaring the already intimidated girl in front of him. Actually, not because he doesn't want to scare the girl, but because he doesn't want to scare (Y/N): ever since Lelouch met (Y/N) at school a few months before obtaining the Geass, he's always felt a very strong attraction towards her; then, that attraction turned into love.

Furthermore, when she showed up in front of Zero, saying she wanted to join the Black Knights, his first instinct was to forbid her from participating in the missions due to the fear she would get hurt. However, the boy was then dissuaded from carrying out that behavior by C.C. to avoid anyone noticing his preference for the girl.

So, Lelouch quickly thinks about how to extricate himself from the complicated situation he's in: "(Y/N), I-"

He can't even finish the sentence he was about to say, because a loud sound screeches in their ears, echoing in the room occupied by Zero and (Y/N). The girl is stunned and closes her eyes, preparing for the worst, when they feel the ground shake and pieces of the ceiling begin to collapse. When she doesn't feel any pain, she opens her eyes.

"Z-Zero? A-are you okay? A-are you hurt?" One of Lelouch's arms is against the wall next to (Y/N); the other arm holds her close, caging her body with his and acting as a shield.

"I'm fine." The boy pulls away from the girl, loosening his grip.

After standing a little distance from her, Zero calmly presses a button on the side of his mask with one hand, shocking and astounding (Y/N) when she hears the whirring of gears, causing the back of the mask to retract.

"Z-Zero, what are you-"

"Answer me, (Y/N) -he interrupts her- are a few months enough to fall in love?"

"I-I think anything is possible in love. Why did you ask me this?"

(Y/N) swallows, watching the boy adjust his mask so his mouth is visible.

"Because I'm madly in love with you." The girl doesn't even have time to realize what he said, before Lelouch grabs her face and brings it close to his, and presses his lips to hers.

"Suzaku, I'm scared" (Y/N) whispers.

While she and her brother Schneizel were in a meeting, an attack by the Black Knights was reported, so Suzaku, (Y/N)'s Knight, grabbed her hand and started running to carry her to safety.

After they moved away from the attacked area, the princess felt the pressure collapse on her; she burst into tears, both because of the fear for her life and because of the concern everyone had managed to escape to safety.

The girl feels strong arms around her and then herself being carried against a warm body. Her eyes open: she sees her Knight embracing her.

"I'll protect you, princess." Suzaku says softly in (Y/N)'s ear, holding her tighter to him.

"S-Suzaku..." The princess murmurs in surprise, looking at him shyly and sweetly, heat flooding her cheeks.

Suddenly, loud battle noises ring out and the sounds of explosions, which cause the ground to shake, almost causing the princess to fall, are heard. Suzaku's eyes widen a little, and he immediately turns, almost as if to go back.

"Where are you going?" She cries.

"I must go back to fight with 'Lancelot'. Please, princess, stay here, so you'll be far enough from the combat zone."

"But Suzaku, you have to follow me -she whispers- I'm scared."

"Princess -the boy approaches the girl, with his eyes full of pain- I have to fight again to protect you." (Y/N) knows Suzaku must respect his duties as a Knight.

"But... You can't protect me if you're there." The girl says, trying to convince the boy to stay with her, since she doesn't want him to go because she fears he might die.

"I have to go -Suzaku replies with regret- those from the R&D Division have already called me before: they need 'Lancelot'."

"Wait!" (Y/N) screams as her Knight turns and takes a few steps towards the headquarters Zero attacked, running to hug him from behind and starting to sob.

"Please, please, don't go! I already lost Euphy, don't leave me too!" The princess can't breathe because of the tears and sobs, and she's crying so much she can hardly stand up straight: she's in the middle of hysterics.

So, Suzaku immediately hugs (Y/N), first hesitantly, fearing her panic attack might get worse, then more tightly, after seeing she showed no sign of resistance and, indeed, she seemed to calm down the closer he was to her.

"I'll never leave: I'll always stay next to you and protect you."

Minutes pass, and (Y/N) slowly calms down, cradled in her Knight's arms and soothed by his sweet, relaxing words.

"Hold out your hand." Suzaku says, placing a watch on his princess' outstretched hand, and he continues: "This watch is very important to me: it's the last gift my father gave me. Keep it safe for me -he gently closes her hand- and, when we meet again, you can return it to me. I swear I'll come back to you."

After saying that, the boy starts to turn around, but the girl calls his name, so he turns back again to look at her.

"Princess?"

"I love you, Suzaku! Please, come back." After saying those words, which shocked him, (Y/N) looks at her Knight softly, and she gently presses her lips to his.

Britannian Military Prison in Japan, evening.

After another day of torture, (Y/N) is in her cell, hurt, sore and crying in pain.

Unfortunately, the Britannian Military had discovered the girl was one of the Black Knights' girlfriend, so it had captured her and has continued to torture her to have information about them. However, it was wrong: (Y/N) didn't even know her boyfriend Kal was one of the Black Knights.

While the girl was reflecting on her boyfriend, a very loud noise is heard and the ground begins to shake, and her cell's door is thrown open. That scares her a lot, so she tries to hide herself in the most remote corner of her cell. Nevertheless, it isn't a soldier who enters, but a tall man, dressed in black and with a mask on his face: he's one of the Black Knights.

"(Y/N)!" The girl recognizes the man by his voice.

"Ohgi? It's you?"

(Y/N) already knows Ohgi: he had come to Kal's house several times while they were together; her boyfriend said he was a friend of his brother and, after his death, he continued to come to visit him. The girl never would have thought that kind man was one of the Black Knights.

"Yes, it's me. (Y/N), are you ok? Kal was so anxious about you... Come, he's waiting for you outside." Ohgi holds out his hand towards her, but (Y/N) pulls away.

"I don't want!"

"Why?"

"I don't want to see Kal: he lied to me the whole time! I don't want to go back to him! Please come back. I don't want you to get hurt because of me."

The man looks at the girl for a few seconds, torn between whether to leave or try to convince her to follow him. However, before Ohgi can make a decision, sounds of footsteps are heard, and then a head pops out of the door: Kal.

"(Y/N)!" Kal rushes to embrace (Y/N), wrapping his arms around her waist and burying his face in the crook of her neck. Nevertheless, she doesn't feel good in his embrace like all the other times: his lie has hurt her too deeply. In fact, she violently and quickly breaks away from the embrace.

"Stay away from me!" The poor girl screams, quickly pulling away and falling to the ground from the force she broke away with.

"Darling?" The boy tries to move closer to his girlfriend, but she pulls away again, trembling and almost crying from the pressure and worry.

"What happens? Are you ok? What have they done?"

"The soldiers hurt me, but you hurt me more: why did you lie to me? You were taking advantage of me, weren't you? I'm a Britannian, were you pretending to love me just to get information about the Britannians?"

"No!" Kal exclaims.

"I swear to you: I've never taken advantage of you. When I fell in love with you, I wasn't one of the Black Knights yet; after I became one, I didn't want to tell you anything because I didn't want to worry you or put you in danger." He continues more calmly, gently helping the girl to get up.

"You don't necessarily have to continue to be my girlfriend, but at least let me continue to protect you, please. I don't want anything to happen to you again." After saying that, Kal hugs (Y/N) again, taking care not to hurt her, and he brings his face closer to hers, until they touch their foreheads.

"Will you let me protect you?" After she gives her nod, the Black Knight captures his girlfriend's lips with his in a tender kiss, while continuing to hold her tightly, as if protecting her from all harm.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be."

"Sorry." (Y/N) repeats, as she finishes treating Cornelius' many wounds.

"I already told you not to be." The prince replies.

They both remain silent for a few minutes. (Y/N) is embarrassed to be so close to the person she loves, Cornelius is trying to repress the groans of pain caused by his wounds.

"Are you angry?" The woman breaks the silence, worried her superior was angry with her. In fact, (Y/N) was a new Knightmare Frames pilot, but, during her first mission, an attack against the Japan Liberation Front, a disaster happened: the group led by Prince Cornelius, in which she had been placed, was the victim of a surprise assault, and (Y/N) would have died if it weren't for her commander, who threw himself into the path of a spear to save her, but injuring himself.

"Not with you." The prince answers.

"Why not with me?"

"Why should I be angry with you?"

"I was careless. I almost got myself killed. Because of me you got hurt!" The soldier screams with a broken voice, surprising Cornelius with her outburst.

The man, recovered from the shock of the woman's outburst, smiles almost sweetly, and he gently caresses her head.

"Don't worry. I don't care you cause me trouble or I hurt myself to save your life."

(Y/N) wonders if what Cornelius told her was some kind of confession, while blushing profusely. Nevertheless, despite wanting to ask him the meaning of those words, she can't say anything other than an apology.

"Stop apologizing or I'll get angry."

"Excu-" (Y/N) stops before finishing the sentence.

"I can't help saying that!" Due to her phrase, the prince bursts out laughing, making the soldier blush again.

"I've done it!" The woman exclaimes happily and, after seeing the man's confused look, she continues, but with a bit of shyness: "Since you're always so serious and, forgive me if I say it, even a little sad, I set myself the goal of making you laugh at least once."

After a few seconds of silence, Cornelius murmurs: "You're wonderful, (Y/N), you know?"

"Really? Are you serious?"

Without even realizing it, the soldier steps closer to her superior, taking his right hand in hers.

"I really mean it." The prince whispers, tucking a strand of her hair, which had escaped from her bun, behind her ears with the hand that wasn't held by hers.

"I think this is why I fell in love with you." Without giving (Y/N) time to realize his words, Cornelius bows his head and presses his lips softly and delicately to hers.

A concept that never fails to creep me out is the archetype of the manipulative yandere.

They're the kind of people who you would never see coming and wouldn't even know that they were the true puppet masters behind all of the horrible situations happening in your life unless they were the ones who decided to stop screwing with you and to just get on with it already.

There is a high chance of them not doing that though. Why? Well, reasons may vary depending on the character.

Perhaps it is out of sadistic amusement, they get a kick out of knowing that they are the ones who hold the key to either totally obliterating your life or making it so much better than you could have ever predicted. I personally like to headcanon this specific subtype of yandere as slightly more active as they establish a connection with you but play coy once they see that your mood is rightfully down in the dumps. You have nowhere to go - come running to them instead.

It's not like you have any other options anyway.

They are doing you a favor. That is how they think of this, it is how they operate. You are front and center of everything they do, they do not take action unless they calculate every single possible move and outcome. Only then do they feel confident that they can make the next move.

Unlike the previous group the sadistic aspect is thrown completely out of the window but is instead replaced with a twisted sense of fear and worry, giving them the excuse that they are doing the right thing and that it is all for your benefit. That is why they plan out with who you'll be with and who shall be smoothly dealt with.

They don't want to hurt you. They want you to love them. They want to love you.

The classroom was quiet with slight scribble noises. You all were testing, your shared desk was with a student you hadn't seen for a while. Her name..you couldn't remember it. You two had been good friends up until now. She had red hair, and was known to not be at school for a while due to her illness. She was such a quiet girl, looked fragile like a piece of glass.

The school bell rang signaling that the testing was now over and the classes were dismissed. Of course, You packed your things and get ready to leave. Not the school just yet, you loved to just sit atop of the school. You tended to love the fresh air you could get especially from high up.

As you stood up from your chair, you'd made your way to the door. In the process accidentally running into..him. Something felt like you knew him for a while, didn't help that you two had interactions lately. "I apologize, I should've been careful where I was looking." He bowed at you, which made you a bit nervous. You grabbed him by the shoulders to pull him back standing up straight. "Please, There's no need for that. It was an accident." He scratched the back of his neck, thinking of his next set of words.

Just a few desks away, a pair of eyes observed the two of you. He didn't like what was happening, the two of you were separated for a reason, though seemed like fate keeps bringing you two back together. The king would not like to hear about this one bit! The last few words exchanged between you and the boy who'd just bumped into you. He waved at you, exiting the classroom. Leaving you with your Friend, Suzaku Kururugi.

"Y/n." Your name was called in a stern voice. Turning around to see your friend with a semi-serious face. Though, he still wanted to keep the atmosphere nice and light.

You walked over to him,"Did you need something?"

He nodded,"Just- couldn't help but notice something. Do you mind meeting me on the roof?" You told him you've got plenty of time and that you didn't mind at all! "Thats good, meet me there in a few minutes. I have something to do really quickly."

On your way up to the roof, something seemed..off. Like your reality was deforming or disoriented. Your vision was starting to blurr. Did someone drug me? You thought to yourself. Until your thoughts were interrupted by a giggle. "No, Y/n.

Suddenly the roof doors opened with a gust of wind rushing through. You covered your face with your arms, protecting your eyes from the dirt and debris which flew through the door. Once the wind calmed down, you peaked past your wrists. The sunlight burning your eyes just a bit but not too much to where you couldn't make out a figure standing in front of you.

This girl- she looked like a being from another world. She wore a white suit, looks similar to a straitjacket. Her Lime green hair trailed down her back stopping at her tail bone. "Don't you wish to come back home? Y/n?"

"W-Who are you?" She looked a little remorseful, her green eyes dulled with sadness. So you really were gone? Your memories were not present. She remained silent, extending her hand out to you waiting for you to take it. Something about her- did you know this woman? She couldn't have been much older than you, she looked so young.

Regardless, your hand seemed to have a mind of its own. Slowly pulling itself to this girls hand. At first it was Like something was forcing your hand to complement hers. Then you were hesitant and as your hand almost meeting hers, you were interrupted-

"Y/n!" You gasped hearing a familiar voice, then you remembered Suzaku asked you to meet him at the roof top! Turning around you watched Suzaku make his way up the stairs. A little conflicted about whether to show Suzaku the girl or not you turned back to look at the doors. She was gone.

Suzaku caught up to you,"Hey! Everything alright Y/n?" You nodded,"Yes, Of course-" He must have not seen her? How strange and where on earth could she have disappeared to in such a short amout of time? Was she hiding from Suzaku? Why did she just disappear like that? You were asking questions, about the recent even that had just taken place in your head.

You were brought back to by Suzaku taking your hand and guiding you to a bench nearby. "Um Suzaku?" His hands slid a little far back behind him, he used them as support for the way he was sitting. He looked at you, something a bit off in his eyes. Like you were in trouble?

"Are you friends with..L̶e̶l̶o̶u̶c̶h̶?"

"Who?" Suzaku's eyes squinted, as he glared at you. He was so sure that you knew who he was talking about.

"Oh surly you know, Tall, slender..shoulder-Lelouch brown hair? Purple eyes..."

"Oh!"

Suzaku smiled,"Yeah!". Though inside he was thinking about what to do about this. They had torn you two apart from another Only for your forgotten identities to now befriend eachother! What now!? You reached into your bag to get your bento out,"Ah! Is that what his name is?"

Suzaku nodded,"L̶e̶l̶o̶u̶c̶h̶ L̶a̶m̶p̶e̶r̶o̶u̶g̶e̶."

"Mm..what an interesting name, is he foreign?" Seems like everything is okay, memory wise. Well for you in anyway. He hadn't checked on L̶e̶l̶o̶u̶c̶h̶'s memories.

"He's sweet."

"You mean-"

"Yes, he helped me with the books I had to carry to the Library this morning. We had a little chat then, but It wasn't anything important."

Suzaku's face showed joy, deep down he was still a bit suspicious. Yes L̶e̶l̶o̶u̶c̶h̶ knew it was risky, Though he needed to get close to you to see exactly where your memories had left off due to being erased. Seeing that now Suzaku was your best friend, it wasnt going to be easy to be around you.

"Yes, Yes. L̶e̶l̶o̶u̶c̶h̶ Is a gentleman. Though thats something I wanted to talk to you about-" You grabbed a rice ball before taking a bite, your ears were open to what Suzu was soon going to say. "L̶e̶l̶o̶u̶c̶h̶...Hes a little- off."

"Off? How so?"

"Knowing him for some time now. He's a bit strange, unhinged... Yes he has friends but they dont know this."

"How are you able to get this info?"

"Because Of my position as a Knight of Seven." You chuckled, realizing what a ridiculous question that was.

"Ahah..Yes, that does make sense you have access to these things."

Suzaku chuckles,"Yes of course, I also know that he-" Suzaku's phone rings, notifying him that he had to leave. Suzu picks up the phone answering with a few; 'Mhm' 'Yeah' 'Alright'. He stood up taking your hand,"My apologies- Y/n..Duty calls."

He brought your hand up to his lips, placing a kiss upon it. Looking up at you with his emerald eyes. You weren't gonna lie- he kinda gave you butterflies. "Just..Be careful around L̶e̶l̶o̶u̶c̶h̶. He's not fully in his right mind."

Suzaku bowed before taking off. "Hm..Crazy to think, that sweet person is actually not as he seems.." 'He's not fully in his right mind' You wondered how? In what way. You finished with your lunch, packing your things in your bag you made your way down the roof. In the process you'd run into Rolo. "Afternoon Y/n",he says in a monotoned voice. Looked like he was rather annoyed, he didn't want to run into but at the same time had a message to give you.

"That damn woman wants something of you and my brother." Rolo grimaced, he took off.. "W-Wait! Rolo!" You sighed, whats with him? 'Does he have some sort of problem with me?' You thought to yourself, for the short amout of time you've known Rolo, he gives you some annoyed look. Especially when you were around...Him.

The second you stepped out those doors, your eyes locked with her..

"You- how did you."

The air seemed to slow down, time stopped and everything was silent. What is this? Why does it feel like you've been here before, in some sort of void?

"I apologize for our short lived meeting, but now-",she slowly began to take large strides in your direction. Her green eyes began to glow with red rings around them. "Let me bring you back." Your body had a mind of its own now. You attempted to move back and away her only for you to be fighting against some invisible force. "Come back home..Y/n."

"W-wait... S-stop." Her hands latch onto yours, caressing your tanned skin. Her slim fingers tickle small arm hairs you have as they slide their way up your arm and grasp your shoulders. Now that your body was in her grasp, there was no getting put of this..Force. Still though; there was a resistance within you. "Y/n, Stop fighting it. You're still fighting."

There was another voice- your eyes looked past the woman to see him. "L̶e̶l̶o̶u̶c̶h̶..", She called out to him. The strange woman. He watched the both of you with a look of uncertainty. She whispered somethings, so quietly it was unaudible. That was when she leaned in- the mark on her head revealing itself as a gust of wind brushes her bangs out of her face. Red hue of the mark began to glow brightly almost blinding you!

She pulled back, leaving a tingling feeling on your forehead. Finally being able to move your body you push past her. Wiping your forhead, you scowled,"Ugh! Who the hell do you think you are! Do you realize I can report you C2!" Your fists ball up as you quickly rush away flustered. A trail of vegetation following you as you walked- The two gasped, surprised at what you just said. "C2?! You remember her name?"

Still flustered at the heat of the moment you turned to them,"Why would I not know your name? Of course I know who you are! What is with you two?!" C2 and L̶e̶l̶o̶u̶c̶h̶ looked at one another then back at you. "You- remember her? Who am I?" "L̶e̶l̶o̶u̶c̶h̶ L̶a̶m̶p̶e̶r̶o̶u̶g̶e̶, my classmate." C2 gains L̶e̶l̶o̶u̶c̶h̶'s attention, pointing to the beautiful vegetation that had been on your trail. Thats when they knew, there was hope. You weren't completely gone.

"It hasn't worked completely, you need to do your part L̶e̶l̶o̶u̶c̶h̶."

Oh no, you didn't like the sound of that. You quickly turned and marched off,"Whatever you two are doing I dont want to be apart of. Especially You L̶e̶l̶o̶u̶c̶h̶, You damn Britannian. Stay away from me." A sharp pain plunged through the boy's heart. You didn't care where L̶e̶l̶o̶u̶c̶h̶ was from, what ethnicity, what his background was. You loved him for him, but they both knew you weren't completely there. You were reprogrammed by...his bastard father and the one who sold L̶e̶l̶o̶u̶c̶h̶ out- who had betrayed him.

Currently, you were well...In a deep sleep waiting to be woken up. And that was the plan, to awaken you. You could hear subtle yet loud footsteps behind you.

"Stop Y/n." A hand tightly latches onto your wrist forcing you to spin, facing him.

"No!",you exclaimed, attempting to pull away. That didn't work, you even tried to rip his tiny fingers off your wrist one by one. What you didn't pay attention to was you were being backed up into a tree.

"Suzaku..He was right- You are crazy. Let me go right now." He thought to himself holding you there..maybe- maybe there was something off with him. Why has he felt this way about someone, everyone until now was just a pawn in his game and now.. You had to come along and ruin everything. Though, he knew what he wanted. For you to remember, to come back to him, to feel loved, to experience it with you.

Not only that but he felt like he was in debt to you. Getting you involved in all this Black Knights revolution. It wasn't fair to you. His purple eyes looked down on you, with your wrists in his hands, all he could do was chuckle.. "Yeah, maybe I am crazy-" A red hue began to absorb the purple within his eyes showing a strange symbol,"I'm crazy about you, Y/n."

So much to think about, everything comes piling back to you like a rushing train. Your wrists were now released as they cup this man's face. The tree you were temporarily against was no longer behind you, rather you two were falling. So slowly what seemed like. What is because you were remembering everything? What was it..this man. You remembered! His name. What used to be so foreign to you was now so familiar.

"Lelouch"

Thats what it was! My best friend! Your back finally hitting a bed of flowers as Lelouch pulls away. Your face deeply flushed with a beautiful rouge color similar to red wine. The vines of the flowers wrapped around one another creating hearts as you stared up at the man on top of you. "L-Lelouch?!"

His brown hair flowing softly in the wind, as he looked down upon your form. That dazed expressed like youd just woken up, the flowers in your curly hair, your eyes a bright purple with your geass code shining through. The vegetation was a dead give away you were completely back. Lelouch smiled, with slightly watery eyes. "Good morning, My princess."

Your vision began to blurr, remembering what happened. "I- said those bad things..a while ago-" Lelouch interrupts you with a finger placed to your lips. "It's not your fault Y/n, you were being manipulated." Your hands find themselves cupping his face, then on his shoulders. Your vines created from your geass, cause flowers to bloom out of control.

How embarrassing..this isn't something friends usually would do. Rest on top of one another while the one below clings to the one on top. "Lelouch, Thank you." "Please, don't thank me. You shouldn't thank me." Lelouch's hand clasps onto yours, dragging it towards his lips. Mumbling against your palm.

"I should be apologizing, for getting you involved in my affairs." He kissed your delicate skin before pulling away.

The vines were growing at a tremendous rate, Popping up everywhere, showing how flustered you were. More hearts created from the tangles of the vines. Lelouch eyes shift to the cute shapes being formed by your powers. He smiles, he loves it- just like you.

"No, I knew the consequences. I was fully aware-",you chuckled as your cheeks hurt from being flustered,"I just didn't expect my memories to get erased.."

"I'm glad I could bring you back, Y/n."

"Me too..So glad." You two, hypnotized by another. For a while, you just needed to look at him. You look around, no one in sight,"Lelouch..Ah I think we should..probably um." Lelouch still on top of you,"Oh ahaha..Right, my apologies." Lelouch stands up lending a hand to you.

"Y/n, go home, I left you a special phone. I should warn you I am being monitored and you as well."

"What?"

"We don't have much time. Rolo's ability should be stopping anytime soon. I'll give you the details."

Good news, Your memories had returned. Bad news..You were in need of recent events.

1. How many works do you have on AO3? site says 21! (I also have 50+ on ff.net from when I was younger, and uhhh idk how many that I shoved into my dreamwidth/livejournal never to see the light of day again.)

2. What's your total AO3 word count? 619,848

3. What fandoms do you write for? Currently Mysterious Lotus Casebook! (Although I might sneak something for Love and Redemption or Scum Villain.) I am mostly a writer in the Final Fantasy XIII fandom, although I have spent years in Code Geass and Merlin fandoms. Before that, it was Fullmetal Alchemist, Naruto, Harry Potter, and Star Wars.... loads more.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? I try to! I'm, um. I'm really bad at it. In that I will attempt to respond to everyone in the first few days, but then I get distracted doing/writing something else and I am so tunnel-visioned that you won't hear from me until a week later and then I feel bad about taking so long to respond. Also I am very, very bad at responding because while I love love love seeing comments, it's just happy reactions and incoherent noises from me. How do I words to translate my appreciation???

6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? ...probably everything I wrote as a kid? I have very different ideas on angst nowadays, but I guess while I was writing it... between Gedächtnisse (FMA fic) and Sound of Silence (HP fic), I guess!

Newer stuff might be between The Other (FFXIII fic) and Test Subjects (FFXIII fic).

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I write a lot of fluff pieces nowadays! But overall, probably Something About December (FFXIII fic), since it's a Christmas fic or Family (FFXIII), which was written to give Sazh more support in the third game.

8. Do you get hate on fics? Once, someone pointed out my join date on the website and asked me why I was still writing fanfiction.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I have, but generally don't. Even most of my ships are closer to gen than not. I'm closer to the repulsed spectrum of ace, but I do like attempting to write all sorts of things.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? Yes! Love them! I've written a good handful-- but the craziest one was when I was... 10? 11? and I wrote Orions'Ka on a notebook and when I typed it up, it was well over 60,000 words. It had absolutely everything I loved back then.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not by a person, no. By website bots, yes.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? I have had... people ask me if they could translate my fics? My answer is always yes, but I don't recall seeing it anywhere.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? I had an entire online journal with my best friend back in middle school.

14. What's your all-time favorite ship? ...MXTX ships, maybe? I don't feel particularly strongly about ships most of the time, only about characters, who I will ship around for the fun of it. But for MXTX pairings, that just doesn't feel right. They just belong together.

15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? ....my old Harry Potter stuff, I'm sorry. Not a fandom I got back into again.

16. What are your writing strengths? I've been told it's characterizations! And descriptions.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? Everything else. Confidence, I guess. Also energy and interest. And once I overcome those, plot.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? ...me, or fics that do that? Because I've seen fics do that, full on paragraphs of dialogue in the original language but descriptions in English, and I don't understand. But if it's just... an important word, a statement, something the fandom would normally understand kept in its original language because there's just no good translation in English for it, then it absolutely works. Some things don't translate well, and fans usually like learning more about their canons. I personally try to keep things mostly in English nowadays, though, but I slip time to time.

19. First fandom you wrote for? Star Wars. I was in the single digits age, and wrote an introspective ficlet on Luke and Leia's feelings about how the original trilogy's ending, sitting together on Endor to watch it all burn.

20. Favorite fic you've written? ...I don't know if I have one. I either tend to be proud or hate what I've written, depending on the day, my mood, wind speeds, and cats. Currently I want to say Lost in a Moment, because I finished that recently and I had so many doubts about it so I'm proud I got through it.

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

I have 30 posted, 1 complete in drafts, and [redacted] anonymous 😈

2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 

according to the stats page, 440k! (but the one I have in drafts will get me over 500k and I'm thinking about doing a giveaway when I hit that milestone?)

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Formula 1 RPF!!

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

I’ve Got a Feeling That I’m Not Complete Anymore, Take Me With You, The Boy With the Storm-Colored Eyes, Another Deep Dive All The Way Down, Croissants in Aub Dhabi

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Very very rarely. I use comments as a metric and adding my own makes it feel like I'm artificially increasing the count. Plus, if I start thanking one person I feel like I have to thank them all and then that spirals out of control. (Not to mention I have so much anxiety over reading comments and sometimes the brain just goes eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee)

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I tend to prefer 'angst with a happy ending', but probably Another Window To Break Out from my 1016 week fics.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Probably With You Around Me It’s Just So Easy To Be In Love. This whole series is just fluff. Everything else tends to have some angst along the way, though I think the series A Nymph's Heart also has a stupidly happy ending.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Yeah, I got some on I’ve Got a Feeling That I’m Not Complete Anymore, but it's also my most-kudos'd (at least, until I get 3 more on Take Me With You) so I kind-of assume those were anomalies? It definitely sucks that I can't go back and read those comments since I haven't (and won't) delete the bad ones and I know there are lovely people who left me nice comments.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yes. The sort of smut that has too much exposition, plenty of aftercare, and frequently bondage. There has to be feelings involved with my smut and, in my opinion, that's the best part of the smut.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Nope!

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Nope! (I hope...)

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Well...technically there's one in-progress but my co-conspirators are too busy and have too many other projects so it's on the back-burner and I'm too shy to ask them if it's ever going to get done but I'm sure it will someday and I'm patient and I don't want to bother them about it and I'm perfectly happy posting my own stuff and...

14. What’s your all-time favourite ship?

That is so difficult to answer. In F1 RPF it's easily Piarles. I used to read a fuck-ton of Drarry but Harry Potter anything gives me the ick these days, even fanfiction. If I had to pick an All-Time favorite, it's probably SuzaLulu from Code Geass. (Honestly I haven't touched the fandom in years but I might go check what's on AO3 these days hmmmm.....)

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I'm good about finishing my WIPs...eventually. The good thing for anyone who likes reading my stuff is that I do not post unless it's finished so you'll never have an unfinished work from me!

(That being said, I was writing some [redacted]!Charles and it was hitting a little too close to home so I might not go back to that one...)

16. What are your writing strengths?

Fantasy worldbuilding. I love the setup and introducing a strange new place. Actually probably worldbuilding in general, fantasy or not.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Resolutions. I often *hand wave* over an ending and it's just...yep! everything's good here! all done!

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I am hopelessly monolingual so I will not. I will use commonly-known endearments (Calamar, mon amour, schatz, etc.) but no actual dialogue.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

You will have to pry that information from my cold, dead hands.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

Bittersweet, That Glitter and it's not even fucking close. It's just...everything to me. The world, the characters, the story...it's so fucking good.
