Title: “The New Guy…Again” (A TCW/GLTAS crossover fanfiction)
Word count: 2,387
Characters: Blight (clone OC), Lara Shey (twi’lek OC), Marseille Tiste (Blue Lantern OC), Kilowog, Plo Koon
Description: A chapter from a Star Wars: The Clone Wars/Green Lantern: The Animated Series crossover story I started working on a couple of years ago. I still kinda plan to write the other chapters, but I wanted to go ahead and post this one since I’m still really proud of it.
Blight sat in the mess, alone in the noisy galley full of clone troopers, glumly ignoring his ration portion while stirring a now-cold mug of caf. None of his brothers would sit with him. It was like being a shiny again, but worse. At least when he was a rookie, the lone survivor of his batchmates, his new battalion had welcomed him cheerfully. But now he felt like a complete outcast.
A green light flashed from the ring on his right hand, accompanied by a short, persistent beeping.
“You had best answer that,” said a deep, patient voice.
Blight looked up into the face of Plo Koon, his jedi general. Blight started to stand, but the general motioned for him to stay seated, then sat down himself.
“Something troubles you, soldier.”
It wasn’t a question. But Blight didn’t know if it was appropriate to unload his troubles on a superior officer, much less a jedi general. However, Master Plo was persistent.
“If you do not intend to answer the summons from your ring, you might as well answer my question.
The young clone trooper sighed, crumbling under the pressure.
“My ring. That’s the problem, general. I don’t know what I’m supposed to do. I don’t know what I’m allowed to do.” He spoke the last sentence with caution, testing the proverbial waters.
Master Plo took a moment to ponder the reply before responding. “What do you believe are your options?”
Blight considered who he was talking with and how careful he might need to be with his words. With any other jedi, he would almost definitely lie—regardless of whether they would sense his deception or not—but with Plo Koon? Honesty would be respected, even rewarded.
“Well, I could stay here, fulfill my duty and my oath to the Republic—and give up the ring. Or I could betray the Republic, abandon my brothers, and go with the lanterns to train as a Green Lantern.” He tried to subtly look up to gauge the jedi’s reaction. He thought the general was frowning thoughtfully, considering the options, but the mask the kel dor perpetually wore made it difficult to tell for sure.
“It is a remarkable opportunity. Which do you believe is the correct course?”
Blight shifted uncomfortably. However friendly and fatherly the jedi was, it didn’t seem smart to discuss possible treason with a general. The silence began to stretch into the realm of discomfort as he attempted to formulate an appropriate response.
At the moment when he feared he would finally have to speak, despite lacking a tactful answer, the ring resumed its flashing and generated a shimmering miniature apparition of Marseilles Tiste, the Blue Lantern. She looked not impatient, but certainly...expectant.
“Blight, I’m about to take Lara to, um,” she turned to look at someone outside of the range of the holographic projection. “What was the name of the planet?” A muffled voice answered, and she turned back to Blight. “Right, Corhva. I’m going to teach her some basic power ring tricks. Gauge said he would mention it to you. Would you like to come with us?” Her voice was gentle and hopeful.
Blight wasn’t excited to go on a lantern field trip, but he was borderline desperate to escape this increasingly uncomfortable discussion with Master Plo.
“Uh, sure, I mean, I’ll be right there, ma’am.”
Marseilles visibly winced. “I’m not your commanding officer, Blight, just a friend,” she said, reprimanding him gently.
“Right, um, sorry,” he apologized. I’ll be right there.” The hologram disappeared, and Blight rose, saluting Plo Koon. “I apologize, general. Excuse me.” The jedi nodded graciously and when he spoke, Blight wondered if there wasn’t a hint of amusement in his voice.
“Of course, trooper.”
Blight picked up his food tray and deposited it in the appropriate portal before leaving the mess, drawing more than a few sideways glances as he left. The walk down to the hanger where the other lanterns waited for him was awkward and long, as most walks seemed to be lately. Clones were the foremost experts in the galaxy at picking up on the smallest details of an individual—it was how they were able to tell one another apart. So even the small ring on his finger didn’t go unnoticed in the hallways, and everyone on board already knew the dilemma of the clone trooper chosen by the strange, mysterious green power ring. Everyone was waiting to see what he would do next—reject the power and opportunity in favor of loyalty to his brothers and his oath to the Republic or turn traitor and desert.
In truth, the situation had sparked intense debate among his fellow troopers—behind closed doors and over private helmet comm channels, of course. His own squad-mates had argued over him last night. Would he even be breaking an oath by leaving—a true oath? Was he bound by a promise that was never truly his choice to make? At the completion of training, the clones were never given an option to not swear loyalty to the Republic that had paid for their creation, so did the oath actually count? Were they soldiers or slaves? These kinds of questions made his head ache...and his stomach churn. Pleasant or not, it was much simpler to live his life without asking these questions.
His squad-mates seemed split on the issue. And it was tearing them apart. Gauge—a brother he’d not been particularly close to prior to the ring’s appearance—was passionately of the opinion that Blight should take the chance in front of him and forge his own path alongside the lanterns. Blight even suspected that a painful envy ached within Gauge over the opportunity. He knew it hurt his brother that he was so reluctant to seize the chance, but Blight couldn’t help it.
On the other hand, Marker, always stern and borderline obsessive with reg manual compliance, had been clear that if Blight left, he would be a traitor—to the Republic and to his brothers. And he wasn’t the only one. Whichever way he chose, Blight would be hurting someone.
He just wanted to scream! Why was this his decision to make?! He thought back to General Plo. He really, truly did want to ask the general for advice. The kindly jedi had never been anything but good to his troops. So many of them considered him to be the father they had never had. He cared about them—they all knew it. But would he be able to offer the kind of advice that Blight needed? He didn’t need the advice of his general. He certainly didn’t need the advice of a jedi. He needed the advice of a father.
Odd, he thought, that I’m thinking in those terms.
He hadn’t seen many fathers in his lifetime, but he knew some clone troopers considered the men who trained them back on Kamino to be like fathers to them. They would go to their training sergeants for advice like this, so fathers probably did similar things.
But he didn’t have one of those.
His mind was still in turmoil when he entered the hanger where he was to meet Lantern Tiste and Lara. He spotted them immediately, an athletically built human woman and a sturdy, undeniably beautiful young twi'lek woman. They were both dressed in flight suits of blue and black, form-fitted material and were standing next to the intimidating creature that was Green Lantern Kilowog. Blight’s stomach, which had already been doing uneasy flips on the walk from the mess hall, went ahead and dropped to his toes at the sight of Kilowog’s stern expression. As Blight approached, Kilowog eyed him up and down.
“Better suit up, Poozer. That rig ain’t very streamline.”
“Huh?” Blight looked down at his white plastoid armor. It was decorated with the grey markings common among the 104th Battalion, but otherwise was entirely ordinary.
“Your lantern suit,” Marseilles spoke up. “I know you haven’t decided yet, Blight, but while you train with us…” She trailed off, her voice still kind and patient.
“Oh,” Blight caught on. “Right, um...how do I do that again?” He glanced around, seeing how many of his brothers were within earshot or watching. How many would see this as him showing his “true”, traitorous colors?
Kilowog made a sound somewhere between a grunt and a scoffing noise. Marseilles shot him a scathing glance then stepped closer to Blight.
“Take your ring, form it in your mind, and will it.”
He looked at his ring, half skepticism, half hope. “Right...will it.”
For the first time, Lara Shey stepped forward.
“Here, like this,” she said shyly, and her flight suit shimmered and vanished, being replaced by a modest homespun robe. She held her fist up and her blue ring flashed. The robe was replaced once more by the flight suit. Suddenly self-conscious, she ducked her head and stepped back. “It’s easy if you let the ring do what it knows to do,” she finished softly.
“Uh, thanks.” Blight felt his face warm. He didn’t know why, but her discomfort made him feel embarrassed too. He shook off the feeling and held his ring up, staring at it intently, his brow furrowed. Focusing on the deep green of the ring, he tried to feel for it, sense its presence on his hand. He imagined what it was like to be a jedi and reach out with the Force.
But nothing happened.
Then, just as he was about to give up, he took note of a gentle hum radiating throughout his mind and his body. As he focused, it grew stronger. It felt...right. A steady, stubborn assurance. Without thinking further, he released himself to it and a green light shimmered over his armor. He looked down. The white plastoid was gone, replaced by a green and black flight suit—a variation on the theme shared between Kilowog, Lara, and Marseilles’ suits. He recognized the suit from when the ring had first flown onto his finger, but he hadn’t had much time to examine it then.
“Woah.” He didn’t know how else to respond. Marseille was grinning, and Lara was smiling shyly. “Uh, is it always like that?”
“Eh, pretty much,” Kilowog responded gruffly.
Marseille punched him playfully. “Don’t be a kill-joy.”
“Yeah, yeah. Well, unless you got anything you want me t’do? I’m gonna go find K’ihr and leave you to teach the rookies how to fly.”
“Right, a quick word before you go.” Marseille walked away with the large sergeant, speaking softly.
Lara moved closer to Blight as they watched the senior lanterns. “I’ve been looking forward to learning to fly. Marse has shown me a few things, but there weren’t a lot of opportunities at first, and then she wanted to wait for you.”
“How long have you, um, been…?”
“A lantern?” Lara finished for him. “The former bearer of my ring was killed in the same battle as yours.”
“Oh.” Blight thought back two rotations to the moment the ring had appeared before him. “I assumed it had been longer. You seem so, I dunno, comfortable with it all.” Lara smiled softly and wrapped her arms around herself.
“It was an answer to all my prayers. The ring—the opportunity it gave me? It was a dream come true. A chance for a new life.”
Blight frowned. He didn’t appreciate the not-so-subtle attempt to persuade him to the oh-so-wonderful lantern side.
“Why? What was so bad about your old one?” He asked.
Lara looked up at him. The look on her face was almost...horrified, and Blight immediately knew he’d said the wrong thing. He began to backpedal.
“I-I’m sorry. It’s none of my business.”
Lara hugged herself tighter and looked down again, her expression changing to sad uncertainty.
“No...I was a slave. Sold to a crime clan when I was a little girl.” She looked Blight in the eye. “My life has been filled with unspeakable horrors for as long as I can remember. Being chosen by this ring is the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
Blight’s stomach sank. He was instantly filled with a shame like he’d never experienced before in his life. He didn’t know how to apologize profusely enough to make up for his blunder. So instead he said, rather lamely, “I’m sorry.”
Lara didn’t respond. He didn’t blame her.
They stood there in awkward silence until Marseille returned.
“Well, kids? Ready for a field trip?” She was grinning.
“Yes!” Lara replied enthusiastically!
Blight didn’t bother replying.
“Excellent! Follow me.”
Marseille motioned for them to follow her towards the open hanger. At the force shield which separated them from the cold darkness of space, she stopped.
“Lesson one: personal force fields.”
A glowing halo of blue light appeared around her and before Blight realized what she meant to do, she stepped backwards through the hanger shield. He began to cry out, horrified, but realized she was standing there on the deck, unharmed and grinning. His jaw just hung open, frozen in the stifled cry and unsure how to proceed.
“The power rings generate an energy field around your body, equipped with its own life support. Power up and c’mon out,” Marseille encouraged.
Lara held her ring hand tenderly and closed her eyes. The blue energy field blossomed into life. She opened her eyes and examined her hands and arms, pleased. Without hesitation, she stepped out to join their teacher. Then they both looked back at Blight. He swallowed. All his life he’d been taught that the easiest way to die was to step through one of those very shields without the proper gear. He looked down at his ring, unsure.
“Will it,” Lara said gently.
Right, Blight thought.
He took Lara’s cue and closed his eyes. He sought out the gentle humming sensation again, grasped onto it, and concentrated. He focused on his own willpower and commanded the energy to appear. A shift in the air quality prompted him to open his eyes. A slight glimmer of green haze danced on the edges of his vision. He lifted his hands. Green energy flickered across them too. He’d done it. He looked up.
“I must be insane,” he said, a slight touch of nervous laughter wobbling his words.
And then he stepped outside, surrendering to the mercy of his ring.
To be continued…
I hope y’all like my silly little fanfic. I actually have the whole story roughly plotted (including the stuff before this) and I’ve even done some concept art for a few characters, planets, ships, etc. Hopefully I’ll share more sometime. I don’t think I’ve shared much of my writing on here before, but I thought it was about time.

A lil birthday gift for @dragonanne of her Clone Wars/Green Lantern TAS crossover oc, Blight!  This idea is amazing and I had to have a go at drawing another one of the characters in this universe!

The Umbaran Pathogen - Day 19: Hypnosis
Summary: The infected troopers start to move the captives into the unfinished hive for temporary storage. Obi-wan attempts to reason with them, but comes to a disheartening conclusion on what he must do to disrupt the parasite's control.
Warning: Slight mind manipulation (the morality of using Jedi Mind Tricks is put into question)
Dogma's design should give a vague idea of what Cody looks like since they belong to the same cast
Prev / Next
[In which the events on Umbara are worsened by an unknown pathogen taking hold of both the 501st and 212th. These series of drabbles will follow a non-linear timeline based on the AI-less Whumptober prompt list for 2023.]
THIS STORY IS ALSO ON AO3
---
In many ways the infected moved as if they were one singular creature. Their coordination and timing (things which most clones already had fine-tuned due to years of training) so incredibly in sync that it felt like watching an actual hivemind at work. One single entity with several bodies that worked on a precise set of tasks, like a conveyor belt in a factory line.
In reality, Obi-wan knows that's not it. The adaptations forced upon the men were ones he recognized on species of eusocial insects, that relied heavily on different kinds of pheromones to communicate. The infected are purely going off scent and hierarchy rather than an actual mind-meld. But their boosted cooperative skills are still impressive nonetheless.
That said, he really wishes that were not the case...
Especially not when he and the remaining healthy troopers were being carted off for storage. Set aside for whenever (if at all) Tup returned. Bound and unable to do anything about it. Their attempts to bring the sick to reason going on deaf ears.
Or, if they annoyed the mutated troopers just a little too much, they would get a low growl or a threatening hiss for their troubles. Sometimes the quick snap of jaws as well, but mostly they were ignored completely. The infected's devotion to their new leader far outweighing any familiarity they might have had with their healthy vode.
The parasites controlling them keeping far too firm a grip.
Obi-wan could, in a way, understand why such a creature would evolve to be this insidious. In as hostile an environment like Umbara, survival of the fittest meant doing just about anything to make it out on top. These parasites, the Umber Blight, had become some of the most naturally cruel arthropods he ever did lay his eyes upon. But, as understanding as he may be of how evolution worked, the Jedi could not bring himself to forgive these beings's true nature.
Not when they had used the troopers, his friends, in such a horrific manner. Starting off by relying heavily on the insecurities and fears of a rookie to spread their influence, and then making all of the men who'd fallen victim become mere mockeries of their true selves.
Identity was everything to a clone. Obi-wan had learned this early on, when he was still getting acquainted with helping to lead an army. Had done everything he could to deserve to get to know the fine young souls that he would be working with regularly, and that he'd slowly become endeared to. Been as openly supportive of their expressions of self, when he'd found out just how oppressive their upbringing had been. So seeing these loyal and kind-hearted soldiers lose that part of themselves, was like having a hot knife stabbed deep into his ribcage. And then subsequently watching those who still had their minds look at their vode with such distress, was like having that blade twisted and turned until everything it touched was torn into fine ribbons.
The unnecessary cruelty made his blood boil. His thoughts racing as he tried to reign it all in.
A Jedi did not submit to rage after all. They mulled over what upset them, processed that particular pain, and released it into the Force. Cleared their thoughts of all ill will and let themselves be guided towards a better solution.
Striking in anger would not benefit anyone. Least of all the victims of this disease.
"Cody..." He tried to speak calmly. Not wanting to come off as far too firm or condescending, when everyone else was relying on him being able to get through to the Commander. "My dear friend, I understand you are bound by honor to complete your duties towards your... Hive... But I must implore you to see reason. You know this isn't right."
The mutated Commander's antennae twitched as he spoke. A sign that he was listening, but not necessarily hearing what the Jedi had to say. Just aware of the noise coming from his direction.
It was a far cry from how he usually behaved.
"Spreading this to the others won't do them any good." He continued, hoping that if he insisted, that eventually he might get through to his second in command. "That is just what the parasite wants you all to think."
9 pairs of eyes turned to regard him with blatant disinterest.
The split in the middle of Cody's bottom jaw widening as he proceeded to yawn, giving the Jedi a nice view of his mouth. From the silk glands that lazily dripped thick strands of webbing, to the elongated and split tongue with protruding spikes, down to the bizarre proboscis-like appendage his esophagus had turned into, the Commander's wide articulated maw was nothing if not intimidating to look upon.
An attempt at a facsimile set of insect jaws that just came off as disconcerting when attached to a clone's otherwise human face.
"Am I boring you?" Obi-wan asked, sounding somewhat amused as he did so. "You seem tired..."
Instead of responding, Cody simply carried on with his current affairs. Most of which revolved around wrapping each and every one of the captive uninfected troopers in strong silk. Not enough to cover them up in cocoons (Cody most definitely did not produce that much silk of his own, nor had Obi-wan seem him spit up the same yellow adhesive Tup seemed to be able to naturally produce), but definitely enough to keep them immobilized during transport.
Each trooper that he'd bound up having then been carried off by one of the other infected, who's forms were distinctly different from the one Cody had taken on.
Lighter in build with less spikes or a stinger of their own. Still very much their natural height instead of the noticeable boost the Commander had gained. Unable to fly as they did not possess a set of wings. They also only had a total of 5 eyes whereas Tup had 7 and Cody had 9. Most likely because they were meant to remain indoors at all times, rather than traverse outside where good vision would be most needed.
Each cast definitely had their own set of specialties, as he noted some of the men who'd fully transformed had stomachs that were slightly larger than the average build of a standard clone trooper. For those mutated men in particular, their gasters were also rounder and larger instead of being heart-shaped and evenly sized.
They were also mostly just watching the proceedings with mild curiosity, instead of helping the others transport the prisoners. Perhaps unsure of what to do if they were not currently tasked with doing what they were most likely 'designed' to do.
At the very least their inactivity didn't seem to upset the others. Some of which checked up on them and very gently chirped as if to give reassurance. Obi-wan at least assumed this was the case, as he watch as a transformed Crys nudged an equally transformed Reed, taking the slightly rounder trooper by the hand and guiding him along.
"I think they might be Repletes." Canivete murmured from just slightly below him. At this point, only Obi-wan, Canivete and Waxer remained attached to the web. Cody had just managed to pin down Tacet to begin wrapping them up. "In ant societies, the repletes are essentially living food storage compartments, that remain in the nest to feed other ants. They fill up their social stomachs with so much food that the gaster swells to about the size of a grape..."
"That's nasty..." Waxer grimaced. He was hanging to Obi-wan's right, one of his boots the only thing in his line of sight. "How big do you think a vod could get if they followed the same logic?"
"Given the fact ants get as big as they get? From the larger bellies and gasters alone, I'm pretty sure they could put a puffer pig to shame." Cani mused. "I doubt it's gonna be a comfortable experience..."
"Stars..."
Cody passed Tacet onto the nearest trooper, moving on to grab at Waxer to begin yet another flurry of wrapping. None of the lieutenant's words getting through to his brother either. There was no talking sense into any of them... So long as the parasites had full control, the men would be forced to obey their new leader's orders.
The power of their suggestions simply too much to work around.
"..." blinking a few times, Obi-wan hummed and furrowed his brow as he began to contemplate that thought.
"You doing ok, sir?" Canivete asked as she noticed the change in his demeanor.
The parasites certainly had a powerful hold of the men's minds. Of that, he had no question. But could they withstand a Force Suggestion if he were to give it to them? They seemed to rely heavily on the men's own mental faculties to understand certain social constructs and ideas. Perhaps if he used a Jedi Mind Trick on the men, it might temporarily disrupt the hold the parasites had?
"General?" Canivete insisted, the medic sounding concerned for his sake.
"I believe I may have an idea..." He told her, frowning as he thought of the consequences implementing said idea, would later bring. Mostly, he knew he would be crossing a line with the men. Especially with Cody, who he'd once discussed this specific ability with. "But it is not one I'm particularly proud of..."
"Whatever works..." The web was slightly tugged, which he assumed was from Canivete shrugging. Or attempting to.
Waxer was already being dragged off. Cody was approaching. It was now or never...
"You will stop what you're doing and listen carefully to what I say." The Jedi tried to keep his voice as clear and even as possible, watching with bitter sadness as the Commander paused in his tracks to stare up at him clearly confused. "Now you will let go of the Commander and sleep for a little while..."
At that, Cody stood up ramrod straight in the same manner he'd done when Tup had first roared. Claiming control over the newly infected and setting them against the healthy. Pitch black eyes widened in mild shock, the mutated clone's mandibles beginning to click in distress. Antennae, arms and wings twitching as control was wrestled out of the parasite's grasp.
And then Cody let out a sudden gasp and violently shook his head.
"Was that a karking Force Suggestion?!" Canivete yelped, clearly horrified at the idea of her General using something of the sort on her siblings.
"It was the only thing I could think to try..." Obi-wan sheepishly admitted sheepishly, trying not to think too hard about it as he looked back to the shaking Commander. "Cody... Are you alright?"
".̴.̶.̸.̴.̶" Cody opened and closed his mouth several times before glancing up at the two of them in question. He regarded them for a couple of seconds before glancing down at his own body. Multiple emotions surging across his face before he regained his composure and looked back up at them again. "T̷h̶a̸t̶ ̶w̷a̷s̸n̷'̷t̵.̴.̶.̷ ̶G̶r̶e̸a̴t̴.̷.̴.̷"
"Oh crap, it worked..." Canivete sounded astonished.
"It seems to have, yes..." Which meant he'd need to do it for every single one of the infected men. Which put Obi-wan ill at ease, since he didn't like to do this sort of thing to anyone he was fond of.
Least of all to the troopers who considered trust to be everything.
Needless to say, he'd need to have a serious conversation with a lot of people once this entire mess was over. And perhaps maybe arrange a visit to the Mind Healers, since he was more than certain this entire ordeal would haunt him for the foreseeable future...

For reasons, I am once again thinking about the ideal TOH Star Wars AU that I might not ever write but lives in my head and haunts me regularly
Can't decide if I would age some of the kids up by a couple years or just continue in the grand Star Wars tradition of harm and too much responsibility to literal children but Luz is a young Force-sensitive human maybe more around 16-18 (still not THAT old) living on a backwater planet who convinces Eda to take her on as an apprentice
Eda is an ex-Jedi who has been on the run since Order 66, now working as a smuggler. I think people are cowards about never interpreting anyone as aliens in Star Wars AUs and think she's a good candidate but haven't narrowed down exactly the species, although the whole Togruta-are-obligate-carnivores thing make them a tempting choice. The Empire has probably been around a little longer than in SW canon to make things line up right and I think she was an older teen during the Clone Wars, and also Bump's padawan before everything fell apart.
King is a small alien of indeterminate species that she found in a mysterious older-than-the-Jedi temple while mucking around the galaxy. Not sure exactly what his deal is but some kind of weird Mortis/the Ones/Force nonsense long since forgotten about by modern Force users feels about right.
Lilith is also a former Jedi (I know by canon Jedi rules they probably wouldn't have had two siblings training at the same time, but also, I can poke at Star Wars canon too), now Head of the Inquisitorius dead-set on tracking her sister down and recruiting her as another Inquisitor. Was probably Belos' padawan and got roped into his own fall to the Dark Side as a result.
Gus is a young (human?) Force-sensitive rebel, as is Willow (although I think she is a green twi'lek); I have not decided exactly how they are affiliated with the Rebellion since they are both YOUNG (although again, maybe more in the 16-18 range, Gus is still the youngest of the kids for sure) but I think having their parents involved might make sense, especially if it's in part an attempt to keep their kids safe from the Purges/Inquisitors. Doing something with the Emerald Entrails as an X-Wing squadron is also very tempting (Emerald Squadron, with Willow as Emerald Leader??)
Raine is in a sort of Bail Organa double agent senator/Rebellion leader style position and YES this means that they and Eda were basically doing a whole "what if Padmé and Anakin were just a tiny bit smarter, but not by much" illicit senator/Jedi romance when they were younger, so I think it would be funny if they were from Naboo. They definitely think Eda died in Order 66 and Eda definitely thinks they, as a member of the Imperial Senate, have bought into the whole "the Jedi were bad, actually" thing which is why the two haven't spoken in decades. Darius and Eberwolf might be Senate colleagues? (Maybe a Fulcrum agent kind of situation?)
Not sure what is going on with the Blights. I think maybe Alador is an Imperial scientist and Amity might end up involved via a not-quite-Rogue-One, but a little inspired by it heist situation just to get her in contact with the rebels. Her parents have worked very hard to keep her Force sensitivity on the down-low. Also I think it's funny that in canon Pantorans can have the same gold eyes/lavender hair look Amity does (just, you know, blue) so while it doesn't work for the whole family I think Alador being a Pantoran and Amity taking more after him than her mother works amusingly well.
Hunter is Belos' Mara Jade-style Emperor's Hand (obviously) but ALSO a clone (obviously) who probably has an Order 66-style chip implanted in him somewhere for maximum angst potential, because this is Hunter and also Star Wars. He was definitely a pet project independent of the clone troopers, probably an attempt to do something weird with the Force to create a perfect Jedi killer. I'm honestly not sure if he's Force-sensitive or not, it could really go either way. Also I would be broadly interpreting all palismen as droids, but Flapjack in particular has to be an old, beat-up little guy he found on a mission and has been tinkering with against his better judgement since.
Belos is probably creating some Force-draining superweapon; a Star Wars AU is interesting for him because making him a Sith makes him one of the weird "magic" folks himself, but obviously the Jedi purges are still a good equivalent to his whole deal in canon. He and his brother were both Jedi and Caleb almost definitely tried to stop his fall to the dark side in a very Mustafar-but-if-Anakin-won situation, just because I think the parallel there is tasty.

Anakin = philip
Obi-wan = Caleb
Ahsoka = Luz
If I’m reading that correctly
Now for clone wars
Essentially yes!
Some little details about them and their dynamics in this AU specifically though:
Caleb
- Somehow he remains the responsible one while also being the one breaking the Jedi code, obviously marrying Evelyn in secret. He’s devoted to pretty much every aspect of the code besides that and is able to manage his attachment to her healthily. So, win for Caleb!
- His master was Orsan, someone who valued the ancient prophecies of old and thought of himself as a bit of an oracle as well. Like in canon Star Wars, Orsan made Caleb promise to train Philip (Philip and Caleb are not blood related in this AU)
- Caleb is a very affectionate master to Philip but remains somewhat strict and makes sure Philip follows and conforms to the Jedi code. This both works and doesn’t.
- He begins to view Philip as like an annoying little brother he’s been tasked with about a year into training him. He eventually gifts him the mask to help his anxiety and uses games to get Philip to understand the rules and why they’re like there.
Philip
- Still a clingy little brother
- Is obsessed with the code and following it… when it suits him. He has a tendency to choose violence over peace and while he is a skill negotiator, he’s also an unfair one.
- Takes on Caleb’s last name when he’s eleven because he can’t remember his own.
- Bites. Also keeps a journal still. And bites again.
- Came from a small community in Tatooine that was closed off and controlled to an extreme degree. It was in that village he learned to fear ‘desert witches’ who used the dark side of the force to their advantage. I sure hope Philip doesn’t lose his mother to them and murder not just the men, but the women and the children too later on.
- Frenemy dynamic with Evelyn.
- Caleb and Evelyn in the ROTS era confide in Philip about Evelyn’s pregnancy and ask for help. Philip begins having nightmares/visions about losing his brother and Evelyn, but mainly his brother. He also starts feeling betrayed by the two people he trusted: Caleb for breaking the jedi code that they both swore they would follow, Evelyn for letting him, and both for only telling him now that they need him.
- Chancellor Odalia Blight swooping in like psppssps did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Faust the wise?
- Kills Caleb on Mustafar because unlike Anakin he’s too cool to fall for the high ground trap. Evelyn curses him afterwards.
Luz
- Also bites
- She was found by the Jedi when she was four, so one of the later initiates taken in.
- She was found because she wanted to be. She was an outcast on her home planet after her strange abilities manifested and would later overhear about the Jedi and their own magic powers. Thinking she was destined for something greater, she ran away from home without much thought, and was picked up by the young smuggler Eda who would take her to Coruscant.
- She and Philip bicker constantly; it drives Caleb insane.
- She doesn’t break the code but god she’s on the verge. Chancellor’s daughter. Pretty. Hold hand.
- Befriends all of the clone troopers (rubs my hands together because I have such an idea for who they are) and also makes them flower crowns!
- T R A U M A .
- Has accidentally called Caleb dad five times at least. Oh, and her nickname for Philip is ‘Pipsqueak’, which he hates. Naturally.

Full Keldab
Cody honestly hadn't imagined 'after the war' to look like this.
He had assumed once the Republic won the GAR would disband and all clones would be sent back for decommissioning. Or if the Separatist won they'd be executed by the droid army. It really didn't matter who won they'd be treated the same by both. But Fives had saved them all with his discovery of the inhibitor, Commander Fox and Coruscant Guard assisting in the chips' removals. He traced its origins to back to Palpatine and from there the Jedi had handled it. Fives next went on to spearhead the clone rebellion against the Kaminoans. Obviously they had won and Tipoca City came under clone rule.
After the capture of Tipoca many clone troopers scrambled to their Venators, quickly getting off the Hellscape that was Kamino. Some had stayed up in the planet's atmosphere as a sort of guard, while others left to scour the galaxy for a new home. These settlements and colonies on other worlds were called Batch States, a little joke and nod to their word 'batchmates'. Batch States, no matter where they were, stayed strictly under clone rule as apart of the Tup Law recognized by the New Republic. The Tup Law was made to keep the Fett clone population safe from being used as an unwilling army ever again. It was one of many laws regarding the clones.
In the first year of being an independent 'race' of people, the medic garrison had gotten to work on finding a cure to their accelerated aging. It was a hard task without the aid of Nala Se, Tipoca's former head cloning scientist, they'd be starting from scratch. Half way through the year a blight had hold of them. In a way it made sense that rapidly aging cells would eventually develop into a disease of sorts. The disease couldn't be stopped easily as its growth rate matched that of the clones' age acceleration. By the end of three years the disease–genetically inherited in certain batches–had wiped out a good portion of the population. It was a race against bioengineering.
After four years of tension the acceleration was stopped. The disease was still around, but now it was slowed enough to where it could be treated. All was well again.
When Cody thought of 'after the war' he didn't expect this.
Five years later, he was now a normal-aging 36-year-old. He still held a position of authority albeit not like the one he possessed during wartime. He along with Rex, Echo and many others served as a council to Vodu'alor Fives. A government very much like that of their distant ancestry of Mandalore.
Many thought Cody would've gladly fought for the right to be Vodu'alor, after all he was the most decorated marshal commander in entire GAR. Surely someone as accomplished as him would want to lead his brothers. They'd be wrong. It was true that once Cody would've vied for the right to lead his brothers to glory, after all that was how he became marshal commander in the first place. Where he once sought glory on the battlefield and in the training room, now he seeks only a calming peace. To most it was an overnight shock of change, but soon they understood.
Omega. His daughter. His very own clone who had been created for reasons unknown. She was his change. At the end of the war when he finally revealed her many of his brothers not from his battalion or batch spread rumors of her origin. So thought she was the secret child of Rex himself and the late Duchess Kryze's sister. Others had assumed she was a CT-99 so defective that not even the Bad Batch wanted her. When Cody had explained how Omega really came to be the rumors still remained. He feels they're fueled more by hate for the individuals than anything else. He didn't care though it was their problem not his.
He'd just finished shaving when the sound of the window opening caught his ear. Strange since it was storming out tonight and Omega knew better than to let the rain in.
"Megs, you know not to the widow during a-"
"Hello there."
Obi-Wan Kenobi was dripping wet just as he was when he first arrived on Kamino all those years ago. His dazzling smile distracting from his scraggly tooka appearance.
Cody's heart fluttered for the first time in years.

👊👪☕️🙈🙊🙉 for roon and blight !!! <3
OC asks! (accepting)
GENERAL ROON TEANA
👊 PUNCH - are they quick to violence?
when roon is violent, it is effortless. smooth, clean, neat, like an experienced butcher with no hesitation. she's not a messy killer. she stands tall, poised and formal. she's not quick to it because it doesn't usually make it that close to her. she and her men are the shield more than they are the sword, a last line of defense. besides- she doesn't really consider killing droids a form of violence.
👪 FAMILY - what is their family like? what is your ocs relationship to them? does your oc have any siblings?
her mother is Tuktee and her father is Malou, surname Laamuan. Roon's surname, Teana, is a ceremonial surname given to her before she was taken by the Jedi; it's a Togruti word that means justice through fire.
Roon was raised in a small mountain village on Shili called Vuren, the population of which moved to high ground to better hide from slavers and other planetary crises. in Vuren, families know the signs to anticipate when a child is force-sensitive; there are cultural practices around the taking of Jedi children. it's a cultural opinion in their force religion that refusing the jedi is wrong, so most families, when they see the signs that their child is force sensitive, begin this process of distancing. It is both to numb their own and the child's pain when they are separated. the village raises the children, a shared effort of care and love, but it is distant and disconnected love. the kids are sort of put on a pedestal, dressed in ceremonial clothing, and expected to have poise and impress the Jedi who come to take them.
Malou, her father, didnt want them to take roon away, but Tuktee came from a family of force sensitives and was herself not force sensitive; Tuktee felt like she had something to prove to her family and people, to prove the daughters of their family could still make Shili proud.
Roon has a younger sister named Mau who she never met. Mau Laamuan was not force sensitive, and she only knows her sister as a distant legend.
☕️ HOT BEVERAGE - do they prefer hot or cold drinks? what is their favourite drink?
roon loves expensive, rare teas. it is her sole indulgence in life and she goes to great efforts to acquire them with what little finances she has available to her. she prefers warm drinks.
🙈 SEE-NO-EVIL - whats a side of your oc that they don't want to show other people?
Most of Roon's interior life is a secret to other people. She wants to be known only as a dogmatic Jedi with a true conviction and loyalty to the Force and the Order. She doesn't want people to know any of her vulnerabilities. She doesn't want people to know that the first time she saw something die, she cried.
🙊 SPEAK-NO-EVIL - what is something your oc will refuse to stay quiet about?
Roon loves getting into theological debates about the cosmic vs living force. She is staunchly against other Jedi's more radical ideas about the Force and is against large structural change in the Order. She's a vocal opponent to new policies. Also, she knows a lot about botany, and will not shut up about it if the topic is brought up.
🙉 HEAR-NO-EVIL - what is the worst thing your oc could hear from someone?
That someone loves her.
ARC TROOPER BLIGHT
👊 PUNCH - are they quick to violence?
Sometimes, yes. Blight isn't a violent person just for the sake of it- he's not showing off or trying to act better than anyone else, and he's not unnecessarily cruel or aggressive. but violence is, as a soldier, as a clone, one of the only ways he can express himself. He only has so much power. Most of it is in his hands.
👪 FAMILY - what is their family like? what is your ocs relationship to them? does your oc have any siblings?
He has six million, two-hundred thousand brothers, sisters, and siblings, and yet Blight is an exceptionally lonely man. He loves his brothers so much that it hurts to lose them. After a while, he numbs it with blunt distance. He can't keep shinies close. Every dead clone is like an amputation.
☕️ HOT BEVERAGE - do they prefer hot or cold drinks? what is their favourite drink?
He likes a nice cold drink just as much as any man living a life like his, but he does think his lover makes some exceptionally good coffee. It's nice to sit quietly with something warm in your hands and know it was made just for you.
🙈 SEE-NO-EVIL - whats a side of your oc that they don't want to show other people?
The tenderness he's capable of, and all the raw pain he's spent years trying to subdue. He doesn't show Jedi how funny he is, either, that he has his joyful moments.
🙊 SPEAK-NO-EVIL - what is something your oc will refuse to stay quiet about?
Any opinion. Blight is hard-headed and openly opinionated. He's going to die sometime, one way or another. If something he says costs him his life, at least he lived truthfully, as his honest self, bold to the end.

The 400th Legion, also known as the 400th or 400th Clone Battalion was a brigade-sized legion of elite clone troopers who fought under the Galactic Republic through its transition into the Galactic Empire. It became a part of the newly formed Grand Army of the Republic in 22 BBY and was assigned to Jedi General Roon Teana and led by Clone Commander CC-2592 "Jawbreaker” and Captain CT-2480 “Fy.”
Made up of units like Shatter Company, the 400th fought many battles throughout the war, and was often called in for front-line defense, earning them the nickname “the Shield of the Republic.” Although it was known for its spectacular and death-defying feats on riskier campaigns, it was known, too, for its various internal conflicts. Although undefeated on the field, the battalion collapsed in on itself directly before the fall of the Galactic Republic.
