haha wow i hate how 90% of the celeste tag is just crossovers with other media. anyway here i am to contribute to the problem!

listen at least its a different crossover than usual. adding variety to the suffering. itzsubz celeste au because im mentally ill about him and also i love this game. yippee!!

as usual with my art posts, ramblings and explanations are below the cut

so first hi if ur here from the celeste tag Sorry! quick explanation of What This Is: Itzsubz_ is a youtuber and twitch streamer i enjoy a lot, and recently(a few months ago) he played celeste, which reactivated my celeste fixation after months of dormancy. and that lead to me doubling my goldenberry count lmao(before that i had golden for 1a 2a 1c 2c and 3c. currently i have goldens from 1a 2a and 1c-8c. currently working on 3ag and have been for a few months). so anyway yeah im Really Normal sooo i made a crossover au ! his youtube videos are cool but i cannot in good conscious recommend his streams. hes kind of awful. obsessed with him tho

also the color scheme makes it look like i put him in the badeline role but actually he takes the place of madeline. for Part Of Him/badeline-equivalent im gonna differentiate by givin more of the inhuman characteristics of his online persona and stuff.

now. if ur here for the guy, not the game, you may be asking yourself a very important question right now: why tf does he have tits. and the answer is this: you can take the transgender(character trait) out of celeste but you cannot take the transgender(allegory) out of celeste. so tbh why bother taking the transgender(character trait) out of celeste. sooo i made him bigender in the au. shes like if a girl was just some guy. yippee!! i do a little projection

the guy herself i drew the way i usually draw but with the background i got a bit more experimental and tried some new stuff! i really like how it turned out, especially the mountain and snow

the reason the canvas is so long is because i made this to be my new phone wallpaper since i wanted a new one. also heres some other versions! first is without filters, and the other two are alternate filters.

i loooove creating content which caters specifically to me and absolutely no one else in the world lmao. hope someone enjoys it anywya tho ! also i have plans for less niche art to be posted eventually. currently workin on an ivory drawing, and then after that i have a few plans for more celeste stuff(not crossover this time! ..and also a few more crossover.)

The mountain that Celeste takes place on being the same mountain that Undertale takes place under is an amazing idea and I love it. Madeline would be best friends with Frisk and you know it

Chara as Frisk’s Badeline

Badeline as Madeline’s Chara

Madeline as an adult is significantly better equipped to handle the danger of the Underground, and significantly less well equipped to deal with being threatened by the denizens of the Underground. She probably comes off as a little cold compared to Frisk given her frankly reasonably reaction to everyone trying to kill her the first time she meets them, but she genuinely does try to help.

Madeline, having dressed for a mountain climb, is perfectly comfortable with the temperature in Snowden, and completely fucked by the temperature in the Core. (she ends up doing the cool ‘black tank top with a jacket around the waist’ look cause there’s no way she’s wearing that puffy jacket into a place with actual lava)

Madeline spends the first hour of being stuck underground trying to climb back of through the hole in the roof.

Frisk befriends Mr. Oshiro right away so they don’t have the chase segment out of the hotel

If you haven't already, please read Lily's Saga before this, as it is the prologue to Droughtale's story.

Now that you're caught up with that, lets begin! (Note that future chapters will be longer than this; this is only short since its the introduction chapter.

Introduction: Promises

The soul I cradle, how I wish it were my own

It glows with warmth; a monarch, settled on their throne

I cry to the heavens, begging for your hand

In a world of dark, how shall I stand?

Rain poured down the glass windows of the car. Every drop came down with such unspeakable force, leaving a slamming pitter-patter that rung heavy in every passengers’ ears.

Most people would take the rain as a sign of the world – or God – grieving. Especially after such a tragic event...but Celest didn’t take it that way.

To her, the rain was a comforting thing. A reminder of walking to the store under an umbrella, huddled against the legs of her sister...her kind, gentle sister. The one who hummed lullabies, using the rain drops as a melody for their song. The one who spun Celest around as the water splashed against them. The one who scooped her onto their back, and burst into a sprint, jumping into every puddle that crossed their path.

Celest smiled because of the rain. It reminded her of what little childhood joy she had. What little childhood joy her parents hadn’t stripped away.

‘But in the end, they still did strip it all away,” Celest thought bitterly, “Frisk is dead now, and its all their fault.’

Celest bit down the anger, though it was difficult to do. But she, by no means, was going to freak out in front of her sweet babygirl.

Speaking of which, she looked to the backseat. Junebug sat in the back, hugging their brown Labrador named Asgore, sniffling and crying into his fur. Celest felt her heart tighten painfully, and she wished she knew what to say; anything, really, to help her sweet baby feel any better. She wracked her mind for comforting words...

But her thoughts came up empty.

Chara was in the backseat, too. And, although Junebug could not see them nor feel them, they were hugging her. It was such a miniscule, typical form of comfort, but Celest still felt grateful. Grateful that they cared enough to look out for their niece, even when she was completely unaware of their existence...

She had only known them for one day, but she already understood what Frisk saw in them. They’re gentle. They're kind. They're protective. They’re empathetic.

‘They’re everything my parents weren’t.’

“Loveling,” Markson whispered, gently placing one of his hands on Celest’s shoulder, while keeping the other on the wheel. Celest snapped out of her thoughts, turning her head so fast that she felt her wet hair slap against her face, hard enough to sting.

“Perhaps...” Markson side-eyed her, “You should take a few more days to rest at home...? It’s never too late to turn the car around, love.”

A pang of guilt struck through Celest’s chest. She hated lying to her husband and daughter about this...but if they knew what her true goal was...if they knew what she had hidden inside of her backpack...they would be a lot more stressed than they already were, which was the last thing she needed right now.

“...I’m sorry...I just...I need a few days to myself...” she leaned over, kissing his cheek, “I’ll be back in at least five days. It’s just...staying at home right now...I just...I need somewhere away to collect myself.”

Markson gently grabbed ahold of her hand. He momentarily took his eyes off the road – the street was straight and empty, anyways – and looked at her. Celest felt heat rise to her face...even after knowing him for a little over eight years, his emerald-green eyes still were fully capable of bringing her to her knees.

“I understand, loveling...just...take it easy, okay?” he brought his hand up to his lips, placing a kiss on each of her knuckles, “Don’t forget to take care of yourself. If you need me to, I could text you reminders, or call in every few hours, or-”

“Honey,” Celest gently interrupted, squeezing his hand, “I’ll remember...I promise.”

He calmed down immediately, releasing a sigh of relief. He knew she was being truthful; Celest was taught to never break a promise. It was a legacy implanted in her head by Frisk that she was dedicated to keeping, and her husband knew it well.

“I trust you,” Markson replied, his tone gentle and loving. It’s something he always said when Celest made a promise; a reminder that he loves her enough to put his faith into her.

“I know.”

The rest of the car ride to Ebott city’s train-station was mostly silent, aside from the quiet sniffles, dog whimpers, and “good boy” mutterings that came from Junebug and Asgore in the back seat.

The rain continued pouring heavy, even after Markson parked outside the station. Celest unbuckled, but she didn’t dare exit the car yet – she still had to say her temporary farewells.

She climbed onto Markson’s lap, resting her head on his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around her waist, nuzzling his face into her neck, and muttering “I love you.”

Celest gently kissed his forehead, whispering “I love you too” in response, before pulling away and kissing his lips, “I’ll call you in a few days, when I’m ready to be picked up.”

He gave her another kiss before responding, “And I’ll have my phone nearby. Always.”

Celest pressed her forehead against his momentarily. The couple sighed in union, before she carefully got off his lap.

Celest grabbed her backpack, slipping it on. She climbed into the back of the car and scooped Junebug and Asgore into her lap. Junebug looked up at her, eyes shimmering with tears, and her nose and cheeks red from crying. Seeing her four-year-old daughter full of grief...its something Celest hated. She never wanted a child so young to suffer; not after she and Frisk went through the same.

But there was no way to turn back time now. What happened...it was creeping up on them, making itself known as Frisk’s mental and physical state worsened. It had been inevitable, no matter how much Celest wished it wasn’t. And as much as she hated it, she once again was forced to face the consequences of her parents’ actions...and for the first time, her daughter had to as well.

“Babygirl,” Celest began, to which Junebug gripped Celest’s shirt, “I know how hard this is for you...and how scary this is...and I’m so sorry for leaving, especially so soon after this happened...”

Gently, Celest places a kiss on her daughter’s head, “But I’ll tell you this...when I come back we can go pick flowers at Uncle Marvin and Auncle Daris’s house...and bring them to Frisk’s place of rest.”

Junebug sniffles, looking up at Celest with her sweet brown eyes. Celest’s heart felt as though it was breaking all over again.

“...chu give a Mama pwomise?” Junebug whispers, to which Celest leans down and kisses her nose, before rubbing her nose against Junebug’s, causing the girl to giggle.

“You have my Mama promise,” Celest said sincerely. Even her four-year-old knew how important promises are to her...Celest felt proud of that fact.

“Oki...chu can go,” Junebug states, as if Celest didn’t have permission to leave before that. Celest couldn’t help but laugh, planting kisses all over Junebug’s face, which caused her to squeel.

“You take care of Asgore while I’m gone, okay?”

Junebug hugged Asgore’s head, nodding enthusiastically. Celest hugged them both, before sliding open the van’s door, and slipping out, opening her umbrella.

Markson slide open the front window, blowing a kiss out the door, giving her the same sad-puppy eyes he always gave when they had to be apart.

“I love you!” he shouted.

“I wuv chu!” Junebug followed up.

“I love you so much!” Celest responded. She did the ASL sign for ‘I love you’ as they slowly drove away. She saw them both sign it back.

Once the car was out of sight, she waited by the train station for five more minutes, just in case they came back. Chara floated at her side, resting their head on her shoulder. The two had grown quite close the last week...ever since Frisk gave Celest their soul, she had been able to see them.

At first, it was weird and frightening to meet someone that nobody else could see...someone that knew her like the back of their hand...someone that Frisk apparently married (albeit not legally, since you can’t marry someone who is dead). But as Chara explained their situation to her, more and more things made sense.

Frisk used to talk to themself. It was something they only began doing after their return from the mountain. Celest thought that it was because of their brain injury, from their parents’ punishment when they came home...but she now knew different.

In a way, it relieved her...it allowed her to know that even when she and her little family couldn’t spare the time to be with Frisk as they were deteriorating, they still had someone they could trust. And despite only officially meeting Chara within the week, she knew with confidence that she not only trusted them with her life, but loved them, too. They were like a sibling to her...and it made her happy to know that, technically, they were her sibling-in-law (at least, by heart.)

“Are you ready?” Chara asked, gently rubbing Celest’s back. Instead of responding, she opened her backpack with the hand she wasn’t using to hold the umbrella. And although it was dim and cracked, Frisk’s soul radiated from the plastic jar she had carefully packed, along with her hiking supplies, water, and spare food.

She closed her eyes, taking in Frisk's presence...it was as if they were holding her hand...after a moment of this, she shut the bag once more, throwing it around her shoulders. She could feel the faint tingle of her sister's warm DETERMINATION trickling its way into Celest's soul.

“Yes,” she responded with confidence, “Lead the way.”

And so the five-mile hike to the mountain began.

your art kind of reminds me of Celeste

And I'm not quite sure how to describe it

It's probably the face structure and the colored lines. I haven't played Celeste and I know next to nothing about it, but in some cases inspiration for art styles come from the same places haha Early Dragonball is one of mine when it comes to the way I draw the humans (which is why Frisk and Chara look so smol and stubby)

Note: Shugo Chara is a shoujo, magical-girl anime from the 2000’s. Charas have their own names and a simple color palette. They are a small persona of their owners’ dreams and reflect different selves. They provide the owner special abilities when merged. (Ex. Shown in poster. The pink-hair girl, Amu, has 4 charas: Ran: Athletic, confident Miki: Artistic, cool Sue: domestic skills, caring Dia: Idol, to shine)

These are some personalities/abilities for kp characters I can think of.

[Shego] Tina (Teacher): takes charge, likes to correct mistakes, drills info into people, gets very proud if student reaches to her expectations.

Ability: listener(s) will believe whatever sentence Shego says as the absolute truth for 1 minute. (Once per day)

[Drakken] Ernie (Mad Scientist): reckless, ambitious, loves a good dad joke, holds grudges

Ability: complete understanding of any machinery that will help improve it immensely or create a new invention

[Kim] VivI (Cheerleader): very competitive, confident, a burst of energy.

Abilities: super strength, speed, (explains most of her physical skills during missions)

Angie (Girly Girl): loves fashion, beauty, and fun things. Often carefree & mischievous. Hates stress.

Ability: pulls out gadgets disguised as beauty products (laser lipstick, stink lipgloss, tracking foundation, etc) from her purse

[Ron] Jynx (Celebrity): reflects Ron’s wish for popularity, has unique charm, can socialize like a fish in water, improv master

Blaze (Monkey Ninja): Ron’s monkey power side, mysterious, only awakens when in rage

Ace (Athlete): prideful, tends to overthink

Ability: proficiency in any sport

Rye (Chef): calm and collected, multitasker, finds joy in sharing his creations

Abilities: culinary arts, craftsmanship

[Yori] Tsuki (Ninja): quiet, stealthy, goes with the flow. Loyal and protects her loved ones

Ability: dual-wielding fan, short-term invisibility

[Bonnie] Reyna (Queen): Strategic, quick-thinker. Vain and often driven by emotions

Ability: Huge charisma, anyone who believes in her crown will fall towards her demands.

[Junior] Celeste (INTERNATIONAL POP SENSATION): upbeat, optimistic, knows how to hype up a crowd. Feeds off of praise and love

Ability: Make anyone admire him to the point of a crazed fan. (Dispels when they hear someone else sing); Disco dance balls that hypnotize people to gather up and dance! until….?

[Joss] Jade (Cowgirl): bubbly sweet, helpful, and hyper. Can easily forget small details.

Ability: robot horse stampede; insane control of lasso

[Monique] Jacqueline (Fashion Designer): Sassy, stands up for herself and others. Loves a good dynamic.

Ability: dress up doll (whatever outfit she draws in her book will appear on the actual target)

[Wade] Digit (Intel): always prepared with technology. knows everything about everyone, Gossip KING. thinks that all problems can be solved with science

Abilities: short-distance teleportation. can create a holographic image of himself as decoy

[Jim and Tim] Hex & Bolt (Engineers): curious pranksters, thirty for knowledge. Have inside jokes, genius little comedians. Pretty filial inside.

Abilities: makes crazy innovative technology, twin telepathy, thick thinned (less easily injured during experiments)

She is a member of the bad sanses but isn’t what you’d call evil or fully corrupt she is just bored and just joined because she saw the perks and went with and yes she is a little crazy. Her soul is combination of the green soul of kindness and the pink soul of fear she is a two faced girl one side of her is a kind and sweet girl with a passion for art and anime with knack for storytelling and being big sister figure to people she cares about but then the other side is deceptive and manipulative psychopath who enjoys people seeing her enemies in shear terror and a love for proving her worth to her follow teammates she does have friendship with her fellow bad sanses and a friends off the battlefield and foes on the battlefield relationship with star sanses and loves to watch ink paint.

To anyone who likes her design she is okay to ship she is pansexual and rather romantic Yandere girl she is usually the first to say her feelings and is pretty flirty with people.

Her weapon of choice are knifes and other sharp objects she fights similar to chara with her weapons and use her unique pink and green gaster blasters and sharp knifelike bones she also create powerful illusions of opponents worse fears forcing them to just fight her but what truest scares them.

Her hobbies include playing instruments (her favorites are marimba,the keyboard and the guitar) she is a huge anime fan her favorites are pretty rhythm rainbow live, Fairy tail and Beastars. She love to draw and paint as well as take care of siblings and hang out with her teammates. She is also a good singer and loves to sing when she is happy and uses as her way of healing

This page features two Undertale AUs, both of which take place in the same universe, just with slightly different circumstances. The descriptions of these AUs are lower down, if you wish to read a brief summary.

Defining Happiness/DH (Summary)

A fancomic series about our protagonists Frisk & Chara and their loved ones attempting to find freedom on the surface, and facing hardships of forming a lasting family. The story is told by Frisk of the future, passing the tale onto their niblings (nieces, nephews, niephews) and little siblings.

Follow Frisk as they study and fight to become the young ambassador for Monsterkind, join forces with the previously-hidden MHHR Association (Monster, Hybrid, Human Rights Association), battle the traumas formed by their past, face teenage development and romance, and struggle to maintain a relationship with their older sister, Celest.

Drought & Devastation/Droughtale/DD (Summary)

A fanfiction series about our protagonists Celest & Michael, attempting to journey through a decaying underground, with the soul of Celest's sister (Frisk). While Celest is the older sister in Defining Happiness, in Droughtale Celest is aged down, becoming Frisk's younger sister instead.

(TW for physical abuse & cannibalism)

When Frisk (age 13) fell into the mountain, they rushed to get through the underground, to return home to their little sister Celest (age 9) and care for her, as the two of them lived with abusive parents. Frisk managed to complete a false pacifist run (leaving Asgore dead and Toriel the queen), intending to gather Celest from their home and return underground, knowing that Toriel would care for the two of them. However, upon arriving home, they failed to sneak inside and take Celest without notice. Their father caught them and began to beat them.

They attempted to reset, but found that their magic was no longer of use. (This is because human magic can only work in the presence of monster magic.) Instead, they were left with brain damage from the beating, and spent the rest of their childhood locked in the house with Celest, tending to her the best they could in their impaired state.

Upon adulthood, the two escaped together. Celest married her husband, Markson, and the two had a child Junebug (aka Frisk Junior.) Frisk passed away not long after, telling Celest to take their soul underground to free monsterkind (while being unaware that the other six souls were fully used up and lost during the fight with Omega Flowey.)

Celest traversed underground, only to find that it was no longer the wonderland Frisk had described to her, but instead a place of ruins, riddled with a magical drought that caused all monsters to have erratic, hallucinatory, and/or violent symptoms, and be thirsty for any magic - or liquid - that they could get their hands on...including the lifeforce of each other.

Through her journey to get back home to her husband and child, she seeks to discover the history of how such a magical place has come to such devastation.
