I always try to give my polls all ten options, and I try to make them increasingly less hinged as you go down. I had to really work to tie in the paprika though. Option 9 is time loop but I ran out of characters. I'm glad you enjoy it! I'm less glad that an option I actively dislike is winning :/

I was definitely picking up on that trend as I went down the list, ahahaha. Alas, that is the downside of the polls if you actually have your own opinion on the results. It's still early in though, plenty of time for the lead to change!

Not to be That Guy, but I've noticed a lot of posts floating about lately with a certain disdain for fanfic readers, in respect of "not interacting with fanfiction the right way" and I just really wanted to say that as a fic writer myself, it kind of bothers me.

Like, I understand that it can be frustrating when you work hard at writing a fic and don't get the response you're after, but these reams of rules and complaints are genuinely just going to kill positive interaction entirely. It's going to make folks scared to say or do the wrong thing, so they won't leave comments or share or drop a kudos in case they offend someone.

And who can blame them, really? The tone of some of these posts... it's very "fanfic authors don't owe readers anything" and like?? Sure, I guess??? But that's pretty unpleasant aside from anything else, don't you think?

You can air a grievance, of course you can, but let's not make sweeping statements, be hostile, or make demands of people.

We're all here to have fun and share our love of whatever source material. Maybe instead of focusing on the things and people that annoy you, try showing and sharing your appreciation with those that are as excited as you are.

Trust me, fandom is way more fun like that.

hades 2 initial impressions after a day of playing:

every time hecate turns me into a sheep during her battle it is funny and cute, i can’t help it, i love temporarily desperately scampering away from projectiles while muttering “nooooooo you’ll mess up my woooooolllll :c”

still getting the hang of hexes but they mostly feel like a waste of time, sorry selene your dress is really nice though

so far the knives are my favorite but they can never replace the fists from hades 1. so much more focus in this game on ranged stuff and incorporating slower moves. I don’t hate that since ranged damage is SO MUCH SO MUCH better in this one. but. my favorite builds are always to stack as much speed boost and sturdiness as i can and then rush in and get in close and nasty and destroy all the enemies before they can even get an attack off. and the knives are just….. not quick enough for that. 😔

i mostly like the resource collecting but it’s obnoxious only having one tool at a time. it just makes me mad seeing something i can’t mine or dig etc when i don’t have that tool.

A) Speedsters can possess the bodies of other speedsters by phasing into the host speedster's body and/or turning into pure energy and merging with the host body via the host's speedforce connection.

B) Speedsters can fuse with other speedsters. During this fusion they 'share' a brain and thought processes.

C) Fusion differs from possession in that fusion relies on both parties sharing control. Possession is easier as only one speedster is in control and it sidesteps the risk of a fusion falling apart due to differing mental states/thoughts. Fusion requires a deep connection and a strong bond to work.

D) Wally and Bart have such a strong bond that they can speak to each other through the speedforce and sense each other's emotions from anywhere in the world.

Conclusion:

DC has the ability to unleash a fusion of Bart and Wally upon the world and they have not yet done so. This is criminal. Imagine the shenanigans. The confusion. The hilarity. Especially if they accidentally do it. DC don't be a coward.

#possession is actually extremely common for speedsters. Eobard has possessed Barry. Wally's done it to literally everyone accidentally #Max got possessed by Jay's reverse flash that one time. there are several incidents where this has happened. #Eobard shoved Barry's consciousness into the speedforce and the same thing happened to Max. #but Wally didn't do that. when he possessed speedsters he just kinda... put them to sleep while he took over. #i mean Wally did it to Jay Barry Jesse Bart Ace Max Jai Eobard some random caveman. its harder to name a speedster Wally didn't possess tbh #anyway point being that speedsters merging bodies with other speedsters is extremely fucking common. they just don't like to share mentally #buuuuut! Wally fused with another version of himself on time. this was the first time this had happened ever. #so wally theorized that he could only do it because they had the same DNA. but DNA doesn't factor in at all for possession #and they're only different mentally/control wise. so i don't think that was correct. i think that because they had extremely similar minds #they were able to share consciousness. which is why true fusion hasn't happened since. #but come on.
