"Make You Crazy Over My Touch"

A/N: here's the prologue, fairly short but the main chapters will be far longer. No warnings, enjoy!

"It's beautiful, isn't it?"

You and Deanna strolled around the courtyard of the academy, arm in arm, basking in the warm summer heat. You hummed in response to your best friend's question, your head elsewhere as your eyes fixed on the handsome young man across the green. Deanna sensed your haziness and let out a bemused sigh, following your line of sight.

"But I'm sure what you're seeing is more beautiful than the weather."

You let out an airy laugh, your cheeks feeling warmer than they were a few moments ago. "He's just a friend, De. A very handsome friend, but a friend at that."

Next to you Deanna chuckled, her face glowing in the sunlight. You'd liked William Riker for almost a year, ever since Deanna introduced the two of you within your first month of the academy. He was intelligent, charming, and dedicated to his studies, but you wanted nothing more than to pull him down by his collar and kiss him. Of course, Deanna knew all of this; she promised to never read your mind without consent, but she couldn't help but feel the strong chemistry whenever you and Will were together.

You and Deanna met on your first day in the infamous Starfleet Academy. You were both fresh faced and bushy tailed, and immediately bonded when you found out you were going to be roommates. Instantly, you clicked, and the rest is history. You and Deanna know each other better than you know yourselves, and neither of you would have it any other way - even when one was completely infatuated with someone.

As you and Deanna reached a bench situated under the shade of an oak tree, you pulled out a textbook from the satchel you carried.

"I have no idea how I'm going to pass my exam tomorrow," you confessed, taking the seat to Deanna's right. You had been studying for your zenobiology test for weeks, with as much help as Deanna could give you, but to no avail. "I just know I'll fail, and that means I'll have to take the exam again in two months."

Deanna gave you a sympathetic smile as she took your hand in hers. "Y/N, you're incredibly smart." She rubbed the base of her thumb against your knuckles. "If anyone can pass this test, it's you."

Snorting, you squeezed her hand and let go to open your book. "I'm glad you think so, but I've got a hunch my professor won't be as compassionate as you."

"Xenobiology, huh?"

Jumping, you looked to your right to see Will leaning against the base of the tree. His voice was deep and, when you don't know he's there, fairly scary. He gave a small laugh as he sat down next to you, eying your open textbook.

"I didn't mean to startle you, I'm just intrigued that the legendary Y/N Y/L/N is worried about a science test."

"This isn't just any old test," you uttered matter-of-factly. "This is the exam. If you don't pass, you restart the whole semester. And I, for one, am not going to pass." You turned to him, trying to read the quizzical look on his face.

"And why aren't you going to pass?" He inquired, left eyebrow quirking in the process.

"She is going to pass the exam." You sighed, trying to ignore the butterflies in your stomach, as Deanna testified.

"Well," Will started, looking back from Deanna to you, "whether you pass or not, how would you like to join me for dinner this Saturday night?"

You quietly gasped to yourself, lips twitching into a coy smile.

"I would love to."

To be honest, Bruce expected none of this. Not aliens, not humaniod aliens, not being shot into space, not marrying a norse god, and certainally not lecturing about zenobiology of his husband to his alma mater. Because who would? He took it in stride with several panic attacks.

But nothing prepared him for him learning something about his husband.
