that one line in lone trail
hello welcome to "she promised she was gonna go tl some fic but then got sidetracked thinking about lonetrail again and is now here" I want to go ahead and do a more comprehensive post talking about the three's relationship in detail with what happened in lone trail but uhh
Tumblr media
I don't have that kind of time to reread it because I forgot which stories contain the parts that I need lol. So without further ado, lets spoil CW-ST-4
The title is "Pushing open future's door" and serves as the epilogue of lonetrail. Unlike most events, lonetrail actually has two post mission stories! CW-ST-3 is unlocked after CW-10 so you know this event is insanely long (iirc this is around the same character count as chapter 8, which is insane. This event is gonna be a monster to read through when it comes to global, I look forward to seeing what translation decisions they make so I have stuff to talk about haha). Also we get to see a hint at a professional relationship between Nastja(no I am not calling her nasti/nasty, I'm fairly certain they were going with a Russian name and Nastja was the closest)
Most of this epilogue is centered around Kirsten, now alone having won in her ideals and preparing to go to sleep. It's a very touching moment where her electronic system goes through her entire ship shutting off each room one by one, until she is left in her room where she is going to hibernate, given a couple minutes before that room will activate she records a log.
Tumblr media
It's relatively simple, probably the most direct we will get from her talking about her philosophy and thoughts on society, wanting people to understand themselves, others, society, and where they are in the universe in order to determine how they should move on.
In the last minute she goes a bit more personal which is really what I care about. She comments on how the plants are still alive to her surprise, and laments being unable to give Muelsyse the data on them. It's a nice touch! She stayed with control, helping her the entire way, and it's clear that Kirsten means a lot to Muelsyse too given how close they were in the past between all three of them.
The very last things she says are directly to Saria.
Tumblr media
In Kirsten's whole life, there were only two times where she felt truly alive. The first time, Saria, was when I took you back home, and on that hill I told you the start of everything. The second time, is now, when I have completed my parent's dreams. The seeds of what happens next, is only the beginning. On a clear night, find an open field and set up a telescope, there will be a star in the sky twinkling for you.
Tumblr media
Then, goodnight, the sirs and madams of Terra.
Tumblr media
goodnight, universe.
yeah just stab me will ya. I don't think there is any really other way to read this other than a goodbye letter to Saria, one that she will tragically never really get to hear (I think?). The long relationship they shared, the last line about the star twinkling for her is just so strong of an indication of just how deep they were intertwined together.
Actually, lets spoil CW-10 end too, just to see how even after Saria left Kirsten knew she could rely on Saria in the ways that it counted:
Tumblr media
Saria... You always wanted me to take a good, clear look at this vast land. I saw it. It is also...very beautiful. You will take care of it and nurture it's people in my stead. I always knew this. Same as before, same as always. As for me... I was not really the type to lead people forward step by step. I was just a pair of eyes. A pair... to look up at the deep space in place of the people of these lands
It's probably the only way she knew how to move forward into the future, especially after she met Friston and had those conversations. Funnily enough after seeing the same kind of behaviour in some of the tech circles I am in... This kind of "I don't think I'm suited for leadership yet here I am" problem is real, and quite prevalent amongst the science types who just want to do their thing unfortunately. It's shocking almost how well this trope was written for Kirsten though I feel like I'm staring at a picture of some people I know of irl who are in the same situation.
Kills me how close Kirsten puts those in her heart yet keeps them pretty far away at the same time tbh

Can i get an immortal villain×mortal hero please please please🥺
I'll give you my croissants 🥐🥐🥐
"How would you like to die?" the villain asked. Their eyes were closed where they sat upon a park bench, head tipped back to the cool breeze and the clear blue sky.
The hero stopped, a little uncertain, but not exactly startled.
"I've tried every kind of death," the villain said. "I can make a recommendation if you prefer."
"I'm not going to die."
The villain's lips twisted - a smile, of sorts. "All mortals die. It is the linchpin of their condition."
"I won't die because of you."
The villain's smile broadened. "Drowning, perhaps. Or maybe suffocation. I don't want to disturb the ducks."
"Why those in particular?"
The villain finally deigned to open their eyes at the question, considering the hero where they stood. The hero couldn't quite read the villain's expression, but their voice remained casual. "Everyone always thinks they can survive those ones. If they just thrash, just fight, hard enough. Then they go very still and very quiet when they realise they can't. You have time to realise what's going to happen to you, see."
"Nice to see you at least put thought into your craft."
"What can I say, I'm a sweetheart. You only get one death."
"But you don't."
"You've done some research. Not enough," the villain added, tipping their head, "seeing as you're still standing there talking to me. But some. Kudos. I guess we'll see if you're brave or stupid."
"I'm not trying to kill you."
"Contain me. Incapacitate me." The villain waved a dismissive hand. "You might save your generation, perhaps, if you get lucky. Are you feeling lucky?"
"I'm not trying to do that either."
"Oh?" The villain sat up a little, finally tuning in properly to the conversation. "Are you not a hero? You dress like one."
"I'm hoping to find a more peaceful, effective solution."
The villain slumped, bored, again. "Mm. This should be good."
"Because I have done my research," the hero said, taking another step closer. "You're immortal. You only kill people when they attack you or are in the way of you wanting something."
"As I said, I'm a sweetheart and a saint."
The hero's jaw tightened. The villain had slaughtered thousands across the decades after all. They were many things, and had lived many lives, but in none of them had they ever been a sweetheart or a saint.
"And what you want most," the hero ploughed on, "other than your comfortable life, is not to be bored. There's no end, after all. So you need distraction. Diversion. Something to make time a little less of of a prison."
The villain was silent for a long moment, watching the hero. "I take it back," they said, finally. "I'm going to drive a knife through your ribs. Nice and slow. You know it's much harder to die from a stab wound than people think? Often it's the blood loss that gets ya."
"And then what?"
The villain shrugged. "Feed the ducks. Go back to my book. Make Christmas lights out of your bones. The possibilities are endless!"
"Sounds lonely."
"You think you're the first to try this, don't you?"
"I think you haven't met me before."
"Maybe I will entertain myself with you," the villain said. "Maybe I'll destroy your life and the live of everyone you talk to from now on. That could be fun. It's been a while since I've been so personal a devil."
Despite themselves, the hero swallowed. Despite their resolve, they considered walking away. Just for a moment.
The villain pushed to their feet, tossing their paperback carelessly aside.
The hero squared their shoulders. They felt their suddenly-fragile feeling heart begin to race. They let the villain stop in front of them, they tried not to let out a desperate shudder as the villain's fingers wrapped around their throat.
"Pick an option," the villain said, caressing their pulse. "Lose air. Lose blood. Or lose everything, but get a few more years before you go. If you ask really nicely, I might even make it quick. "
The hero shifted. They passed through the villain's fingers as if it were nothing, as if the villain were nothing. A ghost. Untouchable.
When the villain turned, the hero sat on the bench the villain had vacated. They made a show of picking up the villain's book, willing their once-more solid fingers not to tremble.
The villain raised an eyebrow. "Phasing. Cute."
"I don't age when I'm in ghost mode. Any injuries I have heal. If someone kills me, I stay dead, presumably. I'm mortal, as you say, but..."
"Hard to kill."
"Hardest you'll find. Or does the challenge scare you?"
"Determined little martyr, aren't you?"
"Not like you have anything to lose experimenting. You have all the time in the world."
"You realise I don't have to honour any deal now that you've revealed your hand? I could just hunt you and continue hurting other people, especially now I know how much it bothers me."
"I'll disappear."
"I have all the time in the world. I'd find you eventually."
"I guess then I'd just vanish again, if you don't want to play ball."
"You really are just the cutest, aren't you?"
"Is that a yes?"
"Maybe." The villain held out a hand for their book. "I haven't decided. Buy me lunch. See if you can keep my interest for more than five minutes."
"Lunch."
"There's a new cafe I haven't tried. Apparently they make their own croissants."
"You want to go to lunch with me?"
"No, I want to go to lunch. All this talk of bloodshed is giving me the munchies! But I'm assuming you're currently planning to haunt me, so you may as well pay. Unless you want me to just...kill anyone who tries to charge me."
"No! No."
"That's what I thought. Great minds."
The hero pushed to their feet, as the villain had, tentatively offering them their book back. They weren't entirely sure if that encounter had gone well or not.
The villain smiled, full of teeth, eyes gleaming.
"For your sake, little hero, do try not to be boring."
And, so, they went for lunch.

Tim Joins the BatFam Early Fic Recs
This list will include all ratings and tags, so read at your own discretion! :)
the butler's neighbor by deargalileo - Rated G
it starts with a baseball, thrown onto the wayne's property. it's alfred's job to deal with such happenings, of course. but over tea and galas, it turns into so much more.
after all, why should bruce be the only one allowed to adopt any child that he finds?
the capillaries in my eyes are bursting by Scarlet_Ribbons - Rated T
Bruce grunts, standing up. “Jenkins said the same. What about what you weren’t told?” And without dissembling, Jason says, “I think they fucked that kid up, B.” [Jack and Janet die. As things get weirder and weirder, it feels like Tim might be at the center of the unfolding conspiracy.]
An (almost) Foolproof Lie by HiddenDreamer67 - Rated T
“No, they don’t leave me totally alone.” Tim hurriedly explained. “My neighbor Bruce Wayne looks after me.” Batman stared at him for a long while. “Bruce Wayne.” He parroted slowly. (A young Tim Drake gets kidnapped by Falcone. When Batman rescues him, Tim tells Batman that Bruce Wayne is his temporary guardian. Oddly enough, Batman isn’t fooled by this perfect cover story.)
Anton Syndrome by Anonymous - Rated M
Tim's parents have been away for six months and counting—the longest he's ever been left alone at one time—and it's starting to have some unpleasant side effects. Luckily, he has a solution. OR, the one where Tim attempts prostitution to cure his touch starvation. His plan goes wrong pretty much from step one, but it all works out for the better.
I'll Stand By You by TaraLaurel - Rated T
"I'm not going to ask you why you're out here, kid," Jason nods. "That's your business and you don't know me or Dick to trust us." Not true. Tim trusts Jason Todd and Dick Grayson with his life. Just not with, the other stuff. "But," Jason continues, "if you want to tell me what got you here, or you just want to talk about anything, you can, with me. Dick too. He's an annoying ray of sunshine that won't ever shut up most of the time, but he is actually a good listener. I'd know." OR When Tim's parents find out Tim's secret, they kick him out. Now, on Thanksgiving, Tim is living on the streets and is thankful for the two strangers currently saving him from getting his face pounded into the pavement. Wait...those aren't strangers...
Just a Typical Monday Morning by Writer_loves_tropes - Rated T
There are three things in life that Timothy Drake knows for sure. One, Tim is the greatest retro Guitar Hero player in the world (even if the wonderful people at the Guinness Book of World Records won’t rightfully acknowledge this fact). Two, Tim is allergic to walnuts. He’s convinced his parents that he’s allergic to spinach too because he hates it. He’s pretty sure when his parents find out, they’re going to make him eat spinach casserole for dinner for a whole week as punishment. And the third thing Tim knows for sure? He’s sure that on this typical Monday morning, the entire Gotham High School thinks Timothy Jackson Drake is Robin, Batman’s vigilante sidekick. A random locker check and the real Robin stashing his suit in Tim’s locker is all it took to turn Tim’s typical Monday morning into one of the craziest Mondays of his life.
Brother Wanted by Vamillepudding - Rated G
Well-behaved boy (10) is looking for big brother (11-15). Must meet up with me three times a week, for at least two hours each. Overall duties include helping me with homework, playing videogames with me, and showing me how to play catch. 10$ per hour. Tim, lonely and in desperate need of company, decides that if his parents are not going to give him a sibling, he's going to hire one instead. Luckily, Jason Todd-Wayne shows up in the nick of time.
Holy security breach, Batman! by destiny919 - Rated G
Janet finally shoos him away towards the hors d'oeuvres or drinks table with the tacit understanding that she doesn't want to see him again until the end of the gala. And probably not even then, it wouldn't be the first time the Drakes forgot to take him home with them and Tim had to discreetly call an Uber before the host noticed and made Tim embarrass his parents. For this gala, however, he almost hopes they forget him again, because tonight Tim has a plan. They're at Wayne Manor, and Tim is going to find the Batcave.
wrong number by adelfie - Rated G
There’s a few rings, then the phone picks up. “Wayne Residence.” That’s funny, Tim thinks, Mrs. Mac doesn’t sound like herself. -- On a hot July evening while home alone, eight-year-old Tim gets a fever. He means to ask Mrs. Mac for help — but ends up accidentally calling Alfred Pennyworth. Somehow, even in sickness, he wins all the hearts of the Wayne family in one fell swoop.
assaulting existence with improbability by destiny919 - Rated T
"Where's Batman?" the kid demands. "We need to show him." Jason decides to go with the easy question. "Show him what?" The kid gives him an incredulous look. "Proof you didn't kill Garzonas, what else?"
5 Times Tim Spends the Night at Wayne Manor + 1 Time He Comes Home by motleyfam - Rated T
Tim is good at galas.
No, scratch that—Tim is great at galas. He’s been attending them ever since the age of three, when his parents first stuffed him into his little Gymboree tuxedo and gave him a stern lecture about ‘sitting quietly’ and ‘speaking when spoken to.’ He knows all the rules: what to wear, how to stand, when to smile, what to say, what not to say. He knows how to come across as polite and intelligent and charming, and on absolutely any other day, he would be rocking this.

Naughty Mischief
Tumblr media Tumblr media
𓆩♡𓆪 Katsuki x satan's daughter!reader
𓆩♡𓆪 genre: smut
𓆩♡𓆪 a/n: I wrote this trash a while ago so I'm sorry if it's bad. Also you guys are like 18-19 here and you participate in it too so your bf won't be the only one.
𓆩♡𓆪 synopsis: You tease the fuck out of you boyfriend during NNN to see how long he can last before he cracks.
𓆩♡𓆪 warnings: smut, dubcon, mentions of cum, dry humping, marking, masochism, rough sex, public sex
𓆩♡𓆪 words: 1.9k
Tumblr media
You knew what you were doing was tormenting him. Which is why you got a kick out of it. You told your boyfriend about the challenge No Nut November where you go a whole month without cumming or masturbating.
You knew it was a lunch break right now, so it was your chance to send a bold message. You run to the bathroom, pull your shirt down a little to show some cleavage and stick your fingers in your mouth back and forth, sending a "I wish this was your fat cock instead." 😩 You shake with anticipation to await the hot head's reaction. Five minutes passed and still no response.
"The fuck is he doing, taking a shit?" You mumble.
You tap your foot impatient, finally receiving a response after around 10 minutes, which read "Wtf, you didn't even give a warning! Two can play at that game"
You roll your eyes which was typical of him since he's so competitive.
You've been sending your boyfriend daring messages all of yesterday through today, knowing the impact it had on him. He avoided making eye contact with you as it would only make it worse. His friends were worried about him trying to ask him what's up.
"What's the matter, Bakugo? I've noticed you've been avoiding Y/N. Did you two get into a fight or something?" Kirishima asks, Kaminari standing over his desk too to see what's up.
"It's none of your fucking business!" He scowled.
"Typical reaction from him..." Kaminari mumbles.
Mr. Aizawa walks into the class with his usual expression and monotonous tone.
"All right, everyone settle down. We'll be having a training course today, so get your hero gear on."
Everyone rushes to get changed.
Tumblr media
You take this time to tease him again, which was perfect. Your outfit was quite revealing, almost more revealing than Momo's since your quirk is demonic powers and you're the daughter of satan.
It didn't help the situation at all. All the boys were staring at you, a few either having nose bleeds or blushing red. You always wore a cloak over your hero costume so they had no idea what you truly looked like underneath. The costume accentuates your curves.
"Whoa, I had no idea Y/N was that sexy without her cloak on." Mineta practically drools.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing wearing something revealing like that!?"
He wraps his arms around you to cover your exposed flesh.
"It's part of my hero costume, Katsu. Is that a problem?"
"Hell yeah it's a problem! Take it off!"
"Mm, what happens if I don't?" You place a finger on your chin.
"Then I'll fucking take it off myself!"
"And let everyone see me naked? I thought only you could see me exposed."
"Enough you two." Aizawa speaks up, you two break apart.
He then explains how today would go and what to expect from you all. Everyone had to split up in pairs. It's 5 groups because the number is uneven, Todoroki, and Momo, Deku, Mineta and Uraraka, Kirishima, Sero, and Kaminari, Tokoyami, and Shoji, You and Bakugo, Iida, Tooru, and Ojiro, Tsuyu, Jiro, and Mina, and Sato, Aoyama, and Koda.
You two wander off in the woods somewhere, afraid you're lost.
"Uhh, Katsu? Are we lost? We probably should've stayed close by." You say, receiving no answer.
He shoves you up against a tree, pinning your wrists.
"Now we're alone. Listen here you little shit, I'm tired of your bullshit! It's driving me insane!"
He grips your wrists harder.
"Katsuki stop gripping my wrists so hard! The little messages you gave me made me on edge as well!" You confess, biting your lip hard trying your hardest not to look at his muscular figure.
"Look at me when I'm speaking to ya!" He grabs your chin. "This is all your fucking fault. I've had to endure so many hard ons and couldn't relieve myself because of this damn challenge." He spat.
"You don't have to do it if it's too much for you~" You tease.
You narrow your eyes towards his crotch seeing that he has a boner right now. He cups your left asscheek hard, eliciting a moan from you.
"I should punish you for not covering up, letting them see you like this. That damn nerd got a nosebleed and I saw Icyhot staring too. Shit, even Shitty hair had a nosebleed. I bet you enjoyed the attention being on you." He starts.
His large hand cups your other cheek, activating his quirk. You push your head into his chest to muffle your moans. He lifts your head up, pulling on your tail.
"If I were to just pull on your tail-"
"KATSUUU NOT THE TAIL!" You squeal, beating on his chest.
"So that is one of your weak spots." He gives his signature shit eating grin.
He rubs it up and down slowly.
"S-seriously, stop! What if someone catches us!"
"Then I wouldn't give a fuck. The poor fucker would just have a nice show." He says bluntly.
He continues pulling on it, enjoying the face your making.
"Ka-tsu-ki stoppp..."
"What if I don't want to?"
"Then I'll make you cum right now so you can lose this stupid challenge. Be ashame if that were to happen. I mean, it is only the sixth day." You say hoping it works.
"I'm not losing that fucking fast, if anything you are!" He retorts.
"How so?"
"Your sex drive is higher than mine! Your fucking horny every single time you look at me!"
"That's so not true at all!" You fold your arms.
"Oh yeah? Then look at me right now. Go ahead, prove me wrong which you can't, you never can."
He puts his hands on his hips waiting impatiently.
"Uhh I can't because um-"
"Because you proved my point! Every time I'm near Shitty hair and the others you tug on my arm so we can go into the bathroom to either make out or so I can eat you out!"
"What about when you want me to blow you hm?"
"It occurs every once in a while! With you, you always expect me to eat you out which ends up messy then they wanna know what the fuck I was doing all this time." He finally finishes.
"It's not my fault you're so damn fine."
You don't dare look him in the eyes knowing it would boost his already huge ego even more.
"That so?" He smirks, cupping your chin forcing you to make eye contact with him.
Your eyes shut tight not wanting to succumb to him.
"Fine you win! Asshole." You mumble the last part.
"Of course I did. I always win no matter what." He flaunts.
"Give me your hand right quick."
He raises his brow but doesn't question and complied anyway. You make him grab your breasts, tweaking your nipples and start to grind against his crotch, moaning.
"Fuck!" He nearly chokes, letting go of your nipples.
"What's the matter, my 'big' explosive king?" You say in a tone trying to sound innocent yet seductive.
"If you wanna make me cum, you gotta try harder than that, babygirl~"
He pins you against a tree again. He bites your neck hard to leave noticeable hickeys so they know you belong to him and only him. He discards his costume, yours following soon after.
"Katsuki..."
You look at him with lust in your eyes, licking your lips. He smashes his lips against yours, the kiss starting out passionate but soon getting sloppier and spicer. You ruffle your hands through his spiky locks, your tongues doing the salsa.
"I can't handle this shit anymore."
He bends you over, slamming his cock slowly into your asshole while pulling onto your tail. You hiss at the new feeling but then gets used to it.
"Wait Katsu, w-we're doing this right now?" You bite your lip trying not to moan.
"You need to learn your fucking lesson. The only way I can do that is by fucking you since your so horny all the time." He explains, speeding up his thrusts.
He flips you around to face him, placing his hands on your shoulders and rams his fat balls inside your pussy.
"A-ahhh~ do it harder..." You practically drool as your masochist natures starts to kick in.
"Tch, fucking masochist."
"Well you're fucking this masochist." You say back smoothly.
He ignores you, adding more force into his ramming. He rams into you at a more animalistic way, your ass, thighs, and boobs jiggling uncontrollably. Your eyes start to roll into the back of your head as you felt like you were in heaven.
"Fuckk me faster daddy~" You say desperately, knowing that got him for sure.
"I'm gonna fuck a baby into you if you fucking call me that again."
He rams faster, sweat dripping all down his face and arms. Your tongue hangs out, you end up moaning his name louder and louder for everyone to hear. You felt he was close, as he tries his hardest to hold it in, but ends up failing and pulls out of you quickly, his cum dripping over your tummy. The sight was too much for you to bare, as you cum right after him, both of you all sweaty and panting hard.
"Looks like we both lost." You chuckle.
"I'll win next year for sure!"
"Good luck with that... Let's hurry and put our clothes back on before someone sees us." You rush to put them on, admiring his nude body.
"Take a picture, it lasts longer." He says, eventually putting his clothes back on.
"I could say the same thing to you earlier." You roll your eyes.
"Damn I probably should've nutted on your ass instead." He cups both cheeks again, squeezing them roughly.
"Leave my ass alone!" You squeal while puffing up your cheeks.
Tumblr media
You two were the last ones to return back to the location Aizawa requested.
"What took you guys so long?" He folds his arms, tapping his finger on his arm.
"We got lost and almost got ambushed!" You blurt out.
"Is that why you were screaming earlier?" Bakugo asks, smirking.
"Yes, it was." You glare at him.
"As long as you guys are back then everything is okay." Deku sighs in relief.
"It's not like anything could happen as long as Bakugo is with her." Iida says, relieved nothing happened to you two.
"What exactly were you two doing?" Tsuyu asks, curious.
"N-nothing at all!" You immediately get flustered at the memory.
"Judging by the stuttering I'd say it was something naughty." Mina smirks, nudging your arm.
You walk up to Bakugo whispering something that would get him riled up.
"Next year I'll go above and beyond, this was just childs play." You whisper to him, seeing how it's still November but it's no point since you both lost on the sixth day.
"Then I'll make sure to have you cum the first day!" He says confidently, everyone staring at him weirdly.
You hide your face in your arms from embarrassment.
"I feel like living under a rock for the rest of my life..." You groan trying to erase the embarrassing vibe you're feeling off.

Keigo woke up in a bed tangled in sheets, a yawn escaped from his mouth as he was slowly waking up. His eyes focused on the ceiling, blinking the tiredness off from them.
Turning his head he looked at the clock on his nightstand that read, 7:01 AM.
"Crap..." he muttered sitting up from his messy bed, "Endeavor is going to get there soon..." He groaned fully stretching his wings, feeling too lazy and tired to head to the agency.
After minutes of fighting his external tiredness, he finally woke up and got himself ready for work.
"That's strange...."
Walking over to the door, he opened it but there was no noise coming from any room of your penthouse. Peeking his head out he looked both ways for any sign of you, but there was none.
"(name)?" he called out to you, no answer.
Quietly he stepped towards your room and gently opened the door, "(name) are you awake?" Keigo whispered.
Your room was actually tighty compared to his own, your bed was made and still no sign of you. It was weird seeing you had told him you were given some days off because you two got married, so why weren't you anywhere?
A slight feeling of panic wanted to rise inside of him. "Keep calm, hawks if something had happened you would have been contacted already."
And behold he was right, there was a note on the coffee table with your handwriting.
"Sorry for not waiting for you I had to take off this morning." He read out loud, "The school contacted me that a teacher called in sick and asked me to cover for them. I hope you get to enjoy your morning before you leave for your agency. See you later at home, (name)."
Faintly smiling he placed the note back down, "I'm glad I just hope next time you let me know, gees."
His phone then vibrated, accepting the call he spoke.
"Hey, you should have told me before you left-"
"I'm already at your agency and you're nowhere to be seen? Where are you? I thought you'd be here by now, Hawks."
"Endeavor!" he mentally cursed, forgetting he was expecting him today. "I'm already on my way, a uh villain took some time to catch. But I am a few minutes away."
Endeavor sighed, "Whatever, just get here already."
With that the call ended and Keigo quickly put on the rest of his hero costume and flew out the window feeling a little less worried about his wife.
"Mrs. (last name)!" you felt a pair of tiny arms wrap themselves around your legs. "I thought you were on vacation."
Smiling you crouched down to their height, "One of our teachers didn't feel too good today and I came to help cover their class."
"So you won't be back tomorrow?" they pouted.
"I'm not sure, Suzuki." you answered, "I did get some days off thanks to our principle."
"B-but aren't you.. happy here with us instead?"
You nodded, softly smiling. "I'm always happy to see you guys."
"Then stay, Mrs. (last name)!" Sato exclaimed running up from behind Suzuki.
"Sato!" you retorted, "I'm so happy to see you back again, how are you feeling?"
She gave you a thumbs up, smiling widely. "I told you I would get better quickly!"
"That you did."
"Where's your husband?" she asked standing next to Suzuki. "Is he coming by to meet us?"
"W-well... right now he is quite busy."
"He shouldn't be too busy to meet us!" Sato crossed her arms in front of her chest, frowning. "He does know about us, right?!"
"Of course!" you exclaimed, ruffling both their heads lovingly. "He knows you guys are very important to me."
The sound of the bell got their attention.
"We should get going then, we'll see you at lunch Mrs. (last name)!" She yelled hugging your neck tightly while Suzuki gave you a side hug. You wrapped both your arms around them, hugging them back. "I'll make sure to tell the others."
"Yeah... they will be happy to see you." Suzuki added.
You kissed the top of their heads and let them go, "Off you go kiddos. I don't want you two to be late."
"Bye, Mrs. (last name)!" they yelled waving at you, you waved back and watched as they made their way towards your classroom.
"(name)!"
"Oof." your body moved back as you felt a weight on top of you.
"You should be on your honeymoon!"
"He's actually busy so we're at home for the mean time, Mio."
"Are you serious?" she pulled away, shocked. "He should have taken you to at least somewhere away from Kyushu!"
"I told him it was okay." you assured her, "We can always go somewhere else."
"Nope!" she retorted shaking her head, "I need to have a talk with this mysterious husband of yours, I mean come on? It's your honeymoon!"
"Trust me he understands and is aware of it."
"Doesn't seem like it." she furrowed her eyebrows, "Are you sure he is not holding you against your will? Do you really love him? Does he love you? Is he nice to you?!"
You raised your hands, "Mio calm down. I wouldn't have gotten married if my parents did not trust him. You know how aware they are about who gets close to me."
"True." She bit her lip, then sighed. "Okay, I trust you then."
"Thank you."
"Can I see like... at least a picture of him?"
"Nope."
Mio groaned in frustration, as much as she respected your private life husband's she still wanted to know. You did feel bad that you couldn't let her know, but it was for his and your own safety.
"You are aware of what is going on I assume?" Endeavor spoke.
"Yeah, as far as I can tell there hasn't been any recent movement." Keigo rested his elbows on the desk, resting his chin on his open palm. "Which is a big worry on our part."
"The police has been trying to track down any leads from the past to see if they had a plan made without us noticing."
"Even if they did, they most likely have a plan ahead from what we might think." Keigo explained, "They're a group of unpredictable villains... it won't be long enough until they show up again."
"Are you still thinking about what happened?"
"Yeah..." He leaned back looking down at his desk.
"If it hadn't been for you we couldn't have known what the league had been planning." Endeavor leaned forward looking at him. "You didn't know how it would turn out in the end. We all did our best."
"I don't want there to be a repeat of last time, not again." He sternly spoke. "They don't care about losing anything. Their minds are already made up but for the rest of us... it's nothing like that. Everyone is barely going back to normality, some are still suffering."
"No one else deserves to wallow in pain again."
"How are you adjusting to your new house?" Keigo asked.
The flame hero looked away, not knowing how to answer his friends question. It had been something in his mind for a long time but with society split into two, he hasn't been able to truly sit down and feel everything.
"I don't know yet." He honestly answered. "I'm glad to see that my family is whole again, in a new place where no bad memories are attached to it."
"But?"
Endeavor stayed quiet for a moment, hoping to looked deep inside and see the answer he's been looking for.
"It's now really settling in that I can't go back and erase the hurt I've caused. The stuff I did to them... they shouldn't have gone through with it. And now..." he continued, "I'm living in a house too big for only myself."
"I understand how you felt― feel I mean." Keigo corrected himself, "It's a lonely world... but you have s chance to make things right and you have been. Not everyone thinks twice to fix things, yet you already did."
"I suppose it's going to take some time."
"You have time, go slowly." He said, "Don't rush something that needs a couple of steps in between for it to fully become complete."
"You're younger than me and yet here you are giving me life advice." Endeavor looked at him. "It's strange."
"What?" Keigo chuckled, "Come on what's so strange about me giving you advice? I can be a good person to go to, you just sometimes happen to think otherwise."
The corner of his lips slightly lifted upwards, "Yeah."
A knock at his door interrupted the conversation.
"Come in!" Keigo called out.
His assistant then walked in, "Hello, Endeavor sir. Hawks there is someone waiting for you in the meeting room."
"Thank you, I'll be there in a minute!"
She excused herself, leaving them both alone again.
"By the way I heard that you were in Miyagi? A couple of heroes kept asking me if I was there with you."
"I was vising some old friends." Keigo answered standing up from his chair.
"In Miyagi?"
"Yeah I've gone there a couple of times during my vacation and I liked it." He teasingly smiled at him, "Don't worry you're still my favorite Endeavor."
"As if I care..." he muttered.
"Come on Endeavor you know I still love you." Keigo went around his desk to hug him but Endeavor stretched his arm out stopping him from doing so.
He pouted, "You're so mean!"
After school was when things got a bit busier than you had thought. All the teachers had made a plan to meet up and discuss the upcoming sports festival for the students. It would be a small event held for all grades, their parents would be invited of course to come and cheer them on.
"I think an obstacle course could be fun!" Mio exclaimed looking at everyone. "We can set up a few tunnels and curves that they would have to go around."
"That's an excellent idea." The principle smiled, "We can even set up a stand on the side with snacks and drinks for all of them to enjoy."
"Are parents going to participate?" A teacher asked.
"For the time being I think it would be best if they watch and interact with them during their breaks since it will be a big event for everyone."
"Understood."
"Does anyone else want to pitch in an idea or have any questions?" The principle asked looking around the room.
You knew that it would be impossible to get any heroes to show up and cheer them on. From what you heard your kiddos loved Hawks along with Best Jeanist, Endeavor, and Midnight.
But if you asked him personally there was going to be a chance that he would say no.
Still, your students have been wanting to meet them for awhile now and it could inspire them.
Raising your hand you took the risk, "I understand this event is already big as it is but... well is there a possibility that we can ask a hero to come as a guest? Our kids would appreciate it... even after all that's happened. I know they're looking for an inspiration and let them know that things will be okay."
Everyone murmured around them, some agreeing to the idea that it would be beneficial to get more sponsored events and earn money for the school.
"Things have been a bit difficult for all of us," she said. "I can see why you want to get them involved to cheer them up. Still given the circumstance, some heroes want to stay put for the mean time so they don't cause any attention from the villains."
"That's true..." you agreed, "Sorry for asking I should have thought twice about it."
"Don't worry I know you meant well."
"Talking about pro heroes," another colleague of yours spoke leaning forward to look at you. "How was your wedding?! We've been dying to know."
Your cheeks turned red. "A―Akane, it went well I don't really know what else to say."
"Don't even try I've been asking the same thing since she came back." Mio added.
"Ladies, I'm sure she has a reason to not want to talk about it." The principle said.
"She's right, it's something private. (Name) will talk when she wants to." Your friend said as he looked at you. "Her husband will show and present himself to all of us, when he's ready of course."
"Thank you, Hizashi." You softly smiled his way, he gave you a smile in return.
"I think she's right, though." he said looking at everyone, "Maybe we can get a hero to come by and show up at the event. Even during these hard times our students need some cheering up as well."
"Yeah but who?" Mio questioned leaning against you.
"What about Best Jeanist?" Hizashi asked.
"My students love him." You smiled remembering how they liked drawing him each time during their free time.
"I know." His eyes lit up, "I saw all those drawings you have of him on the wall. He seems to be like the most popular hero."
"Yeah." You chuckled, "All of them are fascinated with him after he came back. They asked me if I ever met Best Jeanist but I told them no."
Your phone started to ring, you looked down at the caller ID and saw it was Keigo.
"Sorry, excuse me." You sheepishly smiled getting up from your seat and walking out of the staff room.
"Hey is everything alright?" Keigo asked as he stopped at the top of a building.
"Y―yeah! Why do you ask?"
"I got home and saw the lights were still turned off. I thought you'd be there by now since school ends at two."
"A meeting came up all of a sudden after school, I was only aware of it until I was almost out the door." You explained, "I didn't think it'd run this late."
"Do you want me to come get you? I shouldn't be too far away from your school―"
"No, it's okay." you said, "Plus I wouldn't want to put you in a risky spot in case if someone saw you close by the school.
"I can still meet you halfway at least."
"Keigo, it's okay." You reassured him. "I've gone home alone plenty of times before. I'm sure if I take a taxi nothing bad is going to happen."
"But (name)."
"I'm going to be just fine, stop worrying too much."
A warm feeling rose inside of you knowing he was concerned about your safety. All this time you thought it'd be the type of traditional marriage where you two wouldn't talk unless it was necessary but he was proving you wrong, and you were really liking it.
"(name)!" Hizashi called out to you, "The principle said we'd continue tomorrow with the meeting, it's already getting late."
You nodded at his direction, "Okay, thank you for letting me know."
"I can walk you home if you'd like." He suggested.
Before you could answer him, your husband quickly grabbed your attention with his question.
"Who's that?" Keigo questioned feeling a tad bit of jealousy.
"He's a friend." you answered and gave a sign to Hizashi to give you a minute. "I've known him for a while now."
"And you're going to accept his offer?"
"He lives in a few blocks away from us―"
"You're not answering my question... are you going to walk home with him?"
You bit your lip as you couldn't help but ask. "Does it... does it bother you?..."
Keigo's lips parted getting ready to reject that ridiculous idea when he realized that it did in fact bother him.
"No, it's fine." He faintly smiled, "If you trust him then there's no reason for me to worry about it."
"Are you sure―"
"Yeah I'll see you back at home okay?"
"Wait I thought... you were at home already." you asked.
"I was but I left something at the office." he explained, "I shouldn't take too long, I'll meet you there."
"Oh, alright. Be careful then okay?"
"Yeah.. you too."
It gave you a mixed feeling with the way he hung up on you. There was no way he had even felt any emotion of jealousy, you two got married on a deal after all. Why would it bother him if you went home with a friend? Or was it because you shot his offer down and heard when Hizashi asked you?
"(name)?"
"Huh?" you turned around to see him standing in front of you. "Hey... sorry I spaced out. Did you say something?"
"Is everything alright?" He asked handing you your bag.
"Y―yeah I was on the phone with my husband." you responded. "He was asking me if I was okay since I usually go home early after work."
"He was worried that's understandable." Hizashi said walking towards the exit beside him. "If I had a wonderful wife like you hell I'd be worried."
Chuckling your face flushed, "I'm sure your future wife will be even better than me."
Looking down at you he added, "I don't know it's hard nowadays to even find the perfect someone."
"Who knows maybe when you least expect it you will end up finding her."
A small smile formed on his lips, "Maybe I already did."
Hizashi has always admired you for how passionate you are for helping your students. You enjoyed your work and there was nothing you wouldn't do for them. Although you could find another job somewhere else with better pay you stayed. And he's seen his fair share of people leaving, except you.
Friends, was the word he used to describe the relationship between you two. Although there are times where he wished there was a smidge of hope that it would change. Now that you're married he realized you two might be better off how you are now, still there was hope inside of him.
"How's your husband if you don't mind me asking?" He asked as you walked passed a stand of your (favorite food) food.
"He's... kind." You answered earning a chuckle from him. "What?" You asked looking up at him.
"You― I was surprised by your choice of word is all. I thought maybe you would say amazing or―or handsome."
"R―right well he ―he is!" you exclaimed feeling nervous as you tried to sound convincing. "He's the best of the best! Also a good person and if he wasn't people wouldn't like him."
"But that's what they think right?" Hizashi questioned not fully believing you. "I want to know what you, think of him."
"What I think of... him?" you asked looking straight ahead of you already forgetting the food stand that had caught your attention.
"I mean you decided to marry him, only four months into your relationship." He pointed out, "Knowing you if you did not trust or had feelings for him you would not have said yes to his proposal."
It was actually more complicated than that. This marriage was a deal, to help out your parents during their hard time. In exchange you had offered yourself while their situation was being handled by Keigo in secret.
You didn't think he'd accept it and say no but to your surprise he did agree. At first you were weary about him, whether you could fully trust him. Slowly but surely you two began to talk and you started to ease yourself when being next to him. Yet there was stuff you did not know about him like he did not know about you.
"I'm still learning stuff about him, that you are right about." You crossed your arms in front of your chest, feeling the night getting colder. "I got married knowing some stuff about him, heck I sometimes get worried that it might not work."
"And you are still willing to try and make things work huh?"
"Yeah..." you continued smiling small. "I decided to do this because I wanted to. I want to know what it's like to share your life with someone else other than your family or people you personally know."
"You're something else you know." Hizashi said smiling up towards the sky.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean," he looked down at you with the warmest smile. "He's lucky to have you and I hope however this marriage goes it doesn't change you."
"I wouldn't ever think about changing."
After parting ways from your long time friend you made your way towards your home. The building shined bright in all the lights that were used by strangers to finish or start their day. People passed by the building along with cars on the side of the street.
Taking your key out you unlocked the door and greeted the receptionist at the front desk with a quick hello and picked up any mail that was left for you during the day.
When the elevator stopped at your floor, you put in the key once again to unlock it. As you stepped inside you noticed the lights were turned on in the kitchen while the rest was surrounded by darkness.
"Keigo?..." you called out approaching the kitchen. "Are you home?"
When you got to the living room you placed your bag and key along with the mail down on the table and chair. Slowly you walked over to the kitchen but there was no one there.
You sigh turning around to walk out and turn off the light when you saw a plate of food covered in a transparent plastic wrap on the table. Walking over to it you saw a small note next to it.
I realized you weren't going to come home soon so I made some food! I hope you like it, see you later at home, (name).
"Keigo..." you mumbled unwrapping the plate of food.
Your vision started to become blurry, you wiped away the tears that were starting to form. It wasn't the plate of food that was getting you so worked up, your parents did it so many times for you in the past. It was the fact that he decided to be thoughtful about your well being and making sure you ate something.
As emotional as you were, being thoughtful was one of the things that you appreciated so much from someone. Keigo could have just stayed quiet about eating but instead he made sure to leave some food for you too. He may still be a stranger in some ways but he had a good heart that was obvious.
The clock currently read 10:37 PM. Keigo could feel his muscles getting sore from the fight between three villains that made themselves know near his agency. They weren't too tough to handle but one of them had a strength quirk.
His feet were basically dragging him at this point to get to bed and sleep, but he knew he had to at least shower. As he entered his home his mind went to you, wondering if you were already asleep.
Walking towards the living room to get to his room, he saw you curled up on the edge of the brown couch asleep. His hand reached out to wake you up but stopped himself from doing so. He's never seen someone sleep so peacefully in his life before.
Yet there you were, sleeping away without a worry. Even then his eyes couldn't stop looking at you. The light coming in through the large window made its way to your figure, making you shine brighter than you already did.
He could have said no the moment you made the offer but he took it instead. If anyone else knew about his reason they would have described him as being selfish. For someone who has been through hell, he thought it would make his life a little less stressful by having someone around, someone to come home to.
Would you think about him the same way if you ever found out?
"Keigo?..." you mumbled half asleep. "You're back..."
"Hey, sorry I came home so late." he softly spoke crouching down in front of you as you sat up. "Did you fall asleep waiting for me?"
"Mhm," you rubbed your eyes trying to wake yourself up. "I―I wanted to wait for you... tell you the food was delicious."
"Really?" he breathed out in relief. "Now I can sleep soundly knowing you enjoyed it."
You chuckled quietly, "I'm glad to ease your worries."
Without thinking he tucked a loose strand of hair behind your ear, "We should get you to bed, it's already late."
"Yeah... y―you need to rest as well."
Keigo stood back up straight, extending his hand out to you. Accepting his hand you got up from the couch, holding onto his hand tightly.
He couldn't help but look down at you as you both walked towards your individual rooms. There was just something adorable about you when you were sleepy.
Your body suddenly leaned in towards him making him blush. You closed your eyes, smiling as you felt his body heat radiating through his coat onto you.
"Keigo?..."
"Hm?"
"Welcome, home."
His gaze softened, feeling his muscles relax and forgetting about his flustered face. Those two simple words made him feel like he was safe, despite all the chaos that occurred.
He smiled with closed eyes, "I'm home."

I haven't really been posting about the IDW comics on here recently - the ask box being off means I don't get asked for my Hot Takes every issue. But I am, of course, still keeping up with them. I've been really enjoying this period of shorter stories jumping between a wider variety of characters (including the return of backup stories, finally!!!), as well as the juicy melodrama of Mimic infiltrating the Diamond Cutters. Good stuff with lots of good character moments throughout. And the Amy special was very cute. And the 900th Adventure was fun, even if I did think it was let down a bit by ending on its weakest segment after how creative a lot of the middle segments were.
Unfortunately, despite looking forward to it, I found the new Halloween Special about the Chaotix pretty underwhelming. I'm curious if anyone feels the same way. (read more for spoilers)
It feels very... kiddy-ish? I know Sonic is always for kids, obviously, but the IDW comics have pushed dark and spooky stuff quite a bit between arcs like the Metal Virus and Scrapnik Island, so I guess it stands out that the actual Halloween issue is an extremely low-stakes story about stolen candy without even, like, a cool spooky robot or some ghosts or a haunted house or something. Before long we learn that the villains are just other random kids who came up with a scheme to steal candy. They get a very blunt moral about sharing and not taking things that don't belong to you, really cementing the feeling that it was written for a younger audience than most of the other IDW comics.
The Endless Summer special was also very light in tone and low in stakes, though (even if that issue also had some character development for Jewel that felt like it gave it a bit more meat). Similarly, that special lacked any villains, instead using the Babylon Rogues as a nuisance on the beach and having the heroes make peace with them by the end. So I kind of suspect that these seasonal one-shots are intentionally being written for a younger audience, especially younger kids who might not be following the rest of the comics but might be swayed to buy a one-shot with the words "Sonic" and "Halloween" on the cover. I do feel like new writer Mark Bouchard captured the characters' voices well, though - I really love the exchange between the Chaotix on the very first page - so I'm hoping they can come back and write some more Sonic stuff that lands better for me.
Oh wait no the actual worst thing about the Halloween special is that everyone else gets to have a fun costume (Tails gets an absolutely incredible line about his that I won't spoil)... but Sonic doesn't! No costume for Sonic! He doesn't even get a line about him "going as himself" or anything to acknowledge it or turn it into a joke. I can only assume corporate interfered here.
The main series issue that dropped simultaneously (#65) was very good, though. Many, many incredible Knuckles faces courtesy of Mauro. So it's hard to stay disappointed.

So I finished reading through the Naruto manga for the first time last night, and I had some thoughts about how similar parts of Obito's and Touya's stories are. They have very different pasts and different reasons for becoming 'villains' in the worlds they live in, but they do have several things in common.
Tumblr media
When they're younger they're both bright, energetic, and determined kids that both have a goal of becoming an important person in their communities (hokage/hero). While Obito didn't really have family or parental figures in his life, given that he's Uchiha there's most likely a sense of legacy he's trying to live up to similar to Touya, and they're both working towards their goals so they finally feel seen by those around them. They both feel ignored by the people they consider important (Rin and Minato/Endeavor) in favor of those who are seen as more skilled than them (Kakashi/Shoto), so they train harder and harder in an effort to finally be noticed.
Both of them 'die' tragically young at the age of thirteen, though in very different ways. Obito dies with Kakashi whom he had finally bonded with, and Rin whom he loved though he still didn't have the courage to tell her his feelings. While Touya 'dies' alone, waiting for a father who won't show up for him until he's already gone.
Tumblr media
However, they're both saved by a major villain that was thought to be long gone They're revived and healed using rather unethical science (White Zetsu/Nomu). And they both come out of the experience with weaker power than what they once had, and scars covering a large portion of their bodies.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While Touya never buys into AFO's plans and immediately breaks out and runs home, Obito has to stay and recover. Part of him even feels indebted to Madara, even though he is a bit creeped out by him and his philosophy. Eventually, though, he gets out too with the 'help' of one of the Zetsu's. However, when they both arrive to reunite with the people they're trying to get to, they see something that sets them on their dark paths.
Tumblr media
They come to different solutions for what they want to do (Infinite Tsukuyomi/getting revenge on his family) but they both spend time walking the world and see how more than just their personal situations are fucked up. They see how much injustice there is in their societies, and how the people up top that are supposed to protect others frequently harm and use them. (The world of Naruto is quite a bit more fucked up than MHA, but the point still stands.)
After that, they both go by an alias (Tobi and Madara/Dabi) and start setting their plans in motion, eventually teaming up with the villain who saved them. Later on, they both fight their past loved ones (Minato and Kakashi/Endeavor and Shoto) who don't realize who they're fighting initially. Though once they do finally get it, Obito and Touya point out how they should have realized it sooner.
Tumblr media
(This is a minor one that I didn't quite know where to put, but they do both show up to the final battle with white hair and outfits.)
Tumblr media
They both end up fighting and losing to the one that they've always envied (Kakashi/Shoto), but they get back up and do something violently self-destructive that has the power to kill a lot of people that neither has complete control over at first.
Tumblr media
During this, and the pain they're experiencing, they both start having flashes of a life that could have been. A life that should have been so simple to have.
Tumblr media
That's about where we leave Touya, he's down, but he hasn't been completely saved yet. Meanwhile, thanks to Kakashi and Naruto's efforts, Obito begins to realize that there is hope still in the world, and that not all of it is hell. And he ends up fighting with them to take the bigger threat to the world down. Until he eventually sacrifices himself in the end to save Kakashi (and Naruto), just like he did during his first death.
Tumblr media
If Obito, who did way more heinous things than Touya has ever done, can be saved and redeemed in the end, then I believe Touya can too. But, unlike Obito, I think he's going to get to live afterwards.

Accidental confessions
Akihiko Sanada x reader
A/n:I haven't wrote anything in 5 years but got inspired by all the fics I keep seeing. I noticed a lack of fics for persona 3 so I thought I'd try to contribute. Thank you whoever reads this I hope you enjoy!
At first it was just a tinge in you're heart. A small poke you felt everytime you were around him. But before you knew it, months passed and now you can't even look him in the eyes properly.
Akihiko Sanada. Why did it have to be him?
You sit in the silence of your room listening to the white noise of the fan. You're desk was littered with a couple a sheets of homework that you couldn't concentrate on, and a half empty cup of coffee. This time you couldn't help but wonder what it'd be like if you didn't have your persona. You wouldn't be in this dorm. You wouldn't know about the dark hour. And you wouldn't have to see him everyday. Maybe if you only saw him at school this crush of yours would wear off on its own but at this rate? This feeling is going to consume you.
At what point does holding in your feelings start becoming unhealthy? Everytime he tries and talk to you it's like a rose bush full of thorns squeezes tighter and tighter around your heart until you can't breathe. This is no good. You can't have a crush when your trying to save humanity. Isn't that inappropriate?
You let out a deep sigh before standing up from your spot. Maybe going to the kitchen for some water will help you calm down. You grab your now ice cold coffee and head to the kitchen. Your shoes softly tap on the stairs as you make your way down. Upon reaching the lounge area you see Koromaru still wide awake on the couch with Ken watching tv. They're so encapsulated in the show that they don't notice you walk into the kitchen to dump your coffee and get a fresh glass of water.
Upon heading over to the couch Koromaru looks your way and starts wagging his tail, alerting Ken to you presence as well.
"Oh hey y/n! What're you doing up so late?" He asked as you sat down next to Koromaru. You let out a soft laugh.
"It's only 11 it's not too late yet." You said taking a drink of your water. The liquid instantly made you feel more awake. "But we do have school tomorrow, shouldn't you be heading to bed soon?" You ask. He opens his mouth to say something but hesitates before shaking his head and saying what he wanted to.
"I... haven't really been sleeping lately." He says finally. You give him a questioning look and he continues. "I've just been thinking about my mom again nothing new." He lets out a sad laugh. You pat his shoulder. It's a discussion you've already had with him before.
"We're all here for you Ken. Whenever you need to talk about anything we'll be here for you. Take as much time as you need." You said softly and let go of his shoulder. He give you a small smile.
"Thank you, y/n. You're always saying nice things to me." He looks away a bit embarrassed. "If you're ever going through anything... You can tell me too! I want you to talk to me too!" He said with a bit of determination in his eyes before yawning. You couldn't help but smile.
"I'll keep that in mind. But if you're too tired you won't be able to listen to my boring ramblings without falling asleep!" You laughed. "But seriously Ken, thank you. I do have some things that I could get off my chest but we'll save that for after you get some sleep." You said. He goes to protest before another yawn slips out of his mouth and he gives up.
"Alright y/n, I'll see you tomorrow goodnight!" He says as he gets off the couch you wave him off as he makes his way up the stairs. You let out another deep sigh and look a Koromaru who stares up at you with a kind look in his eyes. The sounds of super heroes and villains can still faintly be heard on the TV screen.
"What? Would you like to hear what I have to say koro?" You say jokingly but he gives you a bark in confirmation. You freeze. "Really? It's really nothing interesting it's more bothersome really." He barks again. You debate in your head if it's a good idea to discuss this with a dog but what the heck? He won't judge you and it's not like he can rat you out either. You shrug, might as well. Maybe it'll help alleviate some of constant pressure you feel on your chest.
"Well....I like someone...a little too much." The sentence barely made it past you lips. Koromaru tilts his head a bit in a bid to urge you to keep talking. Red starts to dust your cheeks. Why is this so embarrassing to talk about? Why is your heart racing already? "He's so...I don't even know how to explain it. Nice? Strong? Caring? He's all those things... There's even sometimes that he flusters himself and I think its the cutest thing ever." You giggle to yourself. "The other day I was on my way back to class and he invited me out to a cafe because I told him I liked sweets a few weeks ago. I mean that's the nicest thing I think anyone has done for me sadly." You explained. "That's not all though...even in battle he's always looking out for me. I think he's starting to develop a habit of it actually." You paused. "Koro? Is it bad that I feel this way right now? I mean I'm not expecting you to have a full grasp on human emotions. But even you can see this isn't the time right? Like we're going to Tartarus almost twice a week. Every full moon we're one step closer to uncovering the Truth. Then school mixed in with all of that? Tell me I shouldn't be feeling like this right now." Frustrated tear starts to prick at your eyes before you catch yourself and rub them away. Koromaru whines before laying on your lap. You smile and pet his back. You lean against the couch and relax still petting Koro. "Thank you I feel a little bit better now. But I should go back upstairs I still have homework to finish." You lamented as Koro got up and moved back to his spot on the couch. You turned off the TV and grabbed a nearby blanket, covered him up and gave him one last pat before heading back up to your room. The taps of your feet on the steps was the only thing you heard until you reached the top.
"Hey y/n." A familiar voice sounded as you got to the top of the stairs. A silver haired man was sitting on the couch on the second floor with two boxing gloves in his lap and a towel that you could only assume was for cleaning them. You froze in your tracks. Your heart started racing a million miles per second, your mind blanked out and your face couldn't help but flush a deep scarlet from ear to ear.
"...what all did you hear?" A dumb question but maybe if you were lucky this would be one of those times where they actually didn't hear anything important.
".....I heard enough." He muttered looking at the gloves in his lap. He definitely heard something important. Your soul was ready to leave your body. What do you say to that? Sorry? Yeah that's right? Runaway? All these options began to swirl around in your brain clouding any train of thought you tried to form. "You should come sit down, we need to talk." He said as he started putting his equipment on the table in front of him. You slowly walked over this situation is just getting worse by the minute. We need to talk? That never sounded good. You finally sat down on the couch and placed your water on the table so you could put your hands in your lap. You desperately tried to muster up the courage for what you were about to say.
"Listen akihiko I'm sorry. I don't even know what to say right n-"
"Who were you talking about?" He cut you off.
"What?" You couldn't hide the shock in your voice. Who was I talking about? Who else took me out to a cafe a couple days ago? "I'm sorry, what do you mean?" The look of confusion on his face mirrored yours when you said that. He has to be joking right?
"There's someone you like right? Who is it?" He said softly. Oh you get it. You're about to get scolded for having feelings and how it's going to get in the way of the fight. Stuff you already knew and were trying to work out already. But why did he want you to admit your feelings to his face? Isn't that a bit cruel? You sighed trying to exhale some of the anxiety that was eating you alive.
"I know what you're going to say. It's stupid to let these feelings get in the way of our task right now. I know. I promise I'm working on it." You stared at your lap you felt like tears could slip out at any second now. "I didn't want you to hear my confession that way, but that really is how I feel about you." You voice cracked. "You're just so you I can't take it anymore. Whenever you're around I feel like my heart's going to burst or I'm going to throw up butterflies." You looked up at him ashamed and embarrassed that you're in this situation. But when you see his face his expression isn't what you expected.
His eyes were wide in shock and his cheeks were dusted a light pink. His mouth opened like he wanted to say something but quickly shut it and looked away from you. Why was he so flustered? He's the one that wanted to hear you say it. The room is quiet for a few seconds before he finally says something.
"M-me?" He stuttered. At this point you were fed up. Did he not hear you talking about him?
"Yes you! Why are you doing this to me?" You plead the embarrassment was almost too much to bear now. Where was this conversation going? Why is he acting like he didn't hear you? You bury your face in your hands in a last ditch effort to hide.
Akihiko was stunned. He had no idea you felt the same way he did, you hid it so well. He had overheard your conversation with Ken and Koromaru but walked away right after you admitted you liked someone. He couldn't bear to hear you fond over someone else and decided to wait on the second floor for you. While waiting he thought maybe it'd be best if you just tell him who your liked without all the extra bits. That way he could finally move on and stop feeling this way. But as it turns out thing aren't going that way. He finally turns to face your direction and gently pulls your hands away from your face and holds onto one. He stared at your interlocked hands before speaking.
"I like you too.... At this point... I think I can say Im falling in love with you." He says gripping your hand a little tighter. You almost choke on the sudden turn in circumstances. What is happening right now? "When we first met and were hanging out I thought I just wanted to know you since we were fighting together.... Then later on I thought I was seeing my sister in you. I was always have this urge to protect you and give you what you want. But just a little while ago I realized that's not it at all." He finally looks you in the eyes. "When I heard you just now, about to confess your feelings about someone I couldn't bring myself to hear it. I didn't want to hear you talk about someone like that and that's when I realized... I like you more than just as my friend." The pink hue on his cheeks got darker but he refused to look away from you now. It's now or never.
"I don't want you to work on it, I want you to be mine." He said sternly. He gaze was unwavering and made you want to melt on the spot. Did he really reciprocate your feelings? All this was a little too much. You were ready for rejection! no where in your mind did you think he felt the same.
"....won't I just be a burden? Won't I just cause problems for you?" You ask genuinely. These internalized fears make their way out into the open. "Akihiko... I don't want to be the reason you get hurt." You finished. He just gives you a kind smile.
"You've never been a burden to me y/n. You won't ever be a burden. If I get hurt it's my own fault it's nothing to do with you." He claims. "It's not wrong to want to protect the people you're close to right? Even if I didn't have these feelings I still wouldn't hesitate to put my life out there on the line as your friend." He says truthfully. The atmosphere is a bit lighter now the only thing left is your answer. Is this really ok? You don't think you care anymore.
"Then... If its ok. I want to be by your side. I want to protect you like you do me. I've never felt this way for anyone before... I honestly don't know what I'm doing but if you'll have patience I'd be delighted to be yours." You softly said to him. He smiled widely and suddenly embraced you. You head rested on his right shoulder you could hear his heart racing. You shyly wrapped your arms around his waist and relaxed into him.
"I'm glad I can finally hold you like this I've been wanting to for a while now." He confessed. He let out a content sigh before you both pulled away. He brushed some of the hair out of your face before standing up and offering his hand. "It's getting pretty late, can I walk you to your room?" He asks. You look up at him and take his hand. This is like a dream come true. Was this a dream? It sure does feel like it.
"I would love that." You say as he pulls you up from the couch. You both make your way up the stairs and down the hall to your room hands glued together. There's a pep in your step now and a permanent smile plastered to your face. Upon reaching the door to your room you turn to face him. He looks like a whole different person. He has a soft smile on his face, his eyes are looking at you with so much affection. Like you just lifted a massive weight from his shoulders.
"Goodnight aki I'll see you in the morning." You said before giving him a kiss on the cheek. You snapped him out of his thoughts and he lets go of your hand.
"O-okay I'll see you in the morning!" He said he was blushing harder then he has so far. "Can you call me aki more often? I... I like how it sounds coming from you" he stuttered out.
How can someone be so wholesome? How could someone like this possibly like you? All these thoughts plague your mind but deep down you know this is real. You love him and you're gonna do whatever it takes to make him happy. That's the vow you decided to make.
"Yeah that's all I'll call you from now on." You laughed.
"Come on don't tease me!" He laughed as well. Both infatuated in with how it feels to be unapologetically together. You finally turned around and twisted the door knob. You walked inside you room and turned to look at him through the doorway.
"I'll see you tomorrow Aki..... I love you." You almost hesitated to say it.
"I love you too y/n.... I'll see you when you come down to the lounge tomorrow. If you don't sleep in again we can walk to school together." He teased with a laugh. You protested with a hey! But laughed with him, it was infectious. With one last goodnight you waved him off and shut the door.
A relieved sigh escapes your lips this time. A content sound. You look at the homework still scattered across your desk and think about doing it, but choose to lay down instead. You remember you left your water on the second floor but decided you'll get it and clean it tomorrow. The fan in your room isn't so loud anymore and you can finally feel the breeze it's providing.
You can't believe it. Your stomach starts to twist up in knots from the aftermath of it all. All the things that could've just happened and it turns out he felt the same way. You'll have to thank Koromaru tomorrow for letting you talk to him. You stared at the ceiling a little while longer replaying what just happened in your head over and over again before getting ready for bed.
You're ready face whatever tomorrow brings. And anything after that.

This is technically a continuation of this post!!
-x-x-x-
prohero!bakugou who's been gone on an overseas mission for months with no contact to those who he left in Japan
any down time he's got he's at least reading through the texts he gets
a few from his mom, a couple from his dad, maybe a handful from his friends about all sorts of random shit he may or may not care about
then he's reading all of yours. He'll read all the new ones, then if he's really feeling his Emotions(TM) he'll start rereading everything
he'll also catch up on his voicemails, even if he doesn't have very many because most people know he won't listen to them or he'll go into his mailbox and just start mass deleting
but he does listen and keep all of yours
i mean, why wouldn't he? he asked you to do exactly what you've been doin everyday since he left
highlight of his days honestly
he's convinced that its the daily messages from you that help keep him off the next flight home- it sort of eases the urge to just go back home
but he does the mission from start to finish and when his date back is finally set he's itching to get back to familiar sights, soil, smells and the place where you are
but even when he knows when he'll be home, he still has no jurisdiction to tell you that
he'd have to wait until he's on the plane back home or even landed before he could whip out his phone and speed dial your phone
when he's packing his bag for his return trip, he's never been so disorganized in his life
when he packs for trips, he always prefers to separate everything. all his shirts are folded, his pants are rolled for optimum space, boxers are neat with his socks, toiletries are sealed in a waterproof bag and placed as flat as can be
now?
he's thrown all his shit inside the case and made it fit by force. squishing it all down and pinching the zipper together
he did not care if the zipper busted- he was ready to go the hell home
the entire flight home he was jittery. leg bouncing, finger tapping, arms crossed
he tried sleeping to pass the time, but he couldn't seem to calm down
most of the returning heroes who were coming home with him didn't even try and strike up conversation to make the flight go by quicker in fear of him snapping at them out of sheer impatience
when the plane finally lands, he's first off the plane and first to bag claim and first out the door onto the familiar streets of japan
"holy fuckin' shit," he's mutter, finally feeling relaxed before whipping out his phone and texting you
-wake up-
it was the middle of the afternoon and he didn't know if you were even home or asleep, but it was the only thing he could think to say strangely enough
-you can text!!-
he chuckles as he pulls his suitcase along with him against a wall. standing in the shade, he's attention is solely focused on his phone
he's glad you responded so quickly
it's been so long he couldn't remember your schedule anymore or if it had changed since he left
-i can do a lot more than that-
without much more prodding, your contact was flashing over his screen and he waits maybe a second (if we're being generous) to answer and push his phone to his ear
visibly exhaling when you start talking
"katsuki!"
"you don't need to shout, stupid"
"i'm excited, don't shout shame me. where are you? it's pretty loud over there. meeting? are you supposed to be on the phone right now"
he chuckles at your skeptical nature- like he'd break rules on a big time job in the first place
he's not that stupid
"i'm at the airport, i'm not gonna get my ass railed for being on my own damn phone"
despite his cursing, you laugh
then you register 'airport'
"you're coming home?!"
"nah, babe, i'm already here. come get me."
"what?!"
he barks at the sounds of your rushing around the house, probably scrambling to slip on the easiest pair of shoes you have and a jacket
"i'll be there in like 10 minutes. 20 is traffic is bad!"
"the traffic is always bad"
"i'm hanging up!"
he could hear your excitement before the line cuts and he's grinning before he's sending small texts to his friends signaling his return
when he sees your car pull up to the curb, he's pushing off the wall he's been resting against and you're jumping out of the car
he nearly has a heart attack since you didn't look at the road before rushing out and car were just whipping behind you
"moron! watch where you're going!" he's shouting at you as you run up to him
his grip abandons his suitcase handle to grab you as you ran straight into his chest, clinging to him as he took steps backwards from your crashing impact
his eyes almost rolled into his skull at the feel of you in his arms again after so long
he was positive he'd finally be able to have a good nights rest tonight, he can feel it in his exhausted bones
you pull away from him just enough to look into his eyes and he can see the shine of tears in yours, his hands resting on your hips just enough to sway you back and forth
"welcome home," you greet him
"yeah," he kisses your head "i'm home"
and he wasn't going anywhere else anytime fuckin' soon

hi can i please ask how would enhypen jay act around his crush haha thank you!!
i always try to keep it short but end up writing entire novels.. hope you still enjoy the read 🖤
how would jay act around his crush? based on tarot and astrology, take it with a grain of salt
Tumblr media
kingofw&aceofw, 5ofp&10ofp+moon, 6ofp, magic
+ oh if jay is crushing on you, you will know about it. i can really see him getting a boost in confidence once he's around his crush. he will absolutely not be the shy or nervous type that'll struggle approaching you.
jay will really want to catch his crushes eye and stand out a lot to them. a very leo moon thing. so, he will put a lot of effort into his looks whenever he's around you. he'll probably be the best dressed in the room and check his reflection all the time, just to make sure he's looking his best when you're near him, or put on expensive cologne to smell good and impress you.
another way of catching your attention will be boldy initiating whatever interaction there is between you two. whether it's physical touch, verbal exchanges or just shooting flirty and lingering glances at you.
his main focus will be on physical contact for sure. taurus venus' looove savouring every moment they spend with the person they're interested in. he will want to really enjoy your presence, and will probably make sure there will be many moments where you two touch. even if it's just brief ones, like your hands subtly touching while you're next to each other (i just know that this man loves hand holding. it's the possessive nature. he's the type to tighly hold hands with you on his lap, even while out for dinner with others) or him softly fixing your hair. he'll find ways to be very smooth with everything for sure.
even if you're among other friends, jay will probably be the first one there to help you with anything, once you ask for it. like, he really is the type to love playing the hero for you. whatever he can do for you, he will definitely do. he'll hold open the door, push back your chair, always keep an eye on you if you're out together and not leave your side, guide you through crowds. he probably loves the idea of that cliché romantic scenario of him catching you while you "coincidentally" trip in his presence, lol.
he will also be extremely generous with his crush in a materialistic manner. he'll show you his interest by spending money on you, whether it's by offering to buy you a drink at a bar or paying for your dinner at your date like it's the most obvious thing in the world. don't even think about offering to split the bill, he will not accept you paying a dime and probably fight you until you finally give in.
although it seems like he might almost get pushy, he will definitely know his limits and not be overbearing at all. on the contrary, he'll flirt in a slow but steady, subtle but very effective way. there will be no way you don't notice him being interested, but still won't feel pressured to engage right away.
- hello mister tarurus stellium.. he'll immediately reflect and ponder way too much over how his crush would fit into his life. i can really picture jay sitting there and just thinking "is this person worth it? do i see a future with them?" like let loose my friend, you ain't marrying them tomorrow 🥹
i think jay might have a slight problem with control and has the tendency to get obsessed over constantly staying stable in life. he might see falling in love as a risk to lose control over himself, almost? like, he really struggles to just let his feelings run free sometimes and could have problems finding a balance between his heart and head. heart telling him to go for it and give in to love, head telling him to not "ruin" things for himself and think about it once more. what's an innocent crush to some, is a serious matter to park jongseong for sure.

So I know we all love Jonathan, and he obviously loves and respects Mina as an equal, and he's generally a good person, especially given the times, but we should also remember that he's a Victorian man of a certain social standing in a novel contemporary to the times, and adjust our expectations accordingly instead of elevating him onto a pedestal as an idealized exception.
I'm not saying you can't feel frustration or disappointment, and of course we're going to interpret things through our own modern eyes, and no one should like the paternalism, but I think some parts of the fandom took the wife guy thing past memes and ended up projecting an overly idealized image of a progressive modern man with feminist values onto him and the text - and I understand why, but considering he is a Victorian man written by a Victorian man during Victorian times within a Victorian social milieu, it's not surprising, and honestly, it would be far more surprising if he did behave like he was written by a progressive feminist writer today.
Also, this is not a defence of his attitude and behaviour, but putting things into social and textual context, his paternalistic protectiveness towards Mina would, at the time, be considered a genuine kindness and respect towards women from men, so if Jonathan is supposed to be a good man who loves her, it makes sense he was written this way in a contemporary novel. I've also written at length about how paternalistic misogyny is very much tied to race and class, which I won't get into here again, but suffice to say, amidst the misogyny, a white Christian middle-class woman is at least seen as worthy of protection, a consideration not afforded to women with even less privilege.
Likewise, from a character perspective, given his own experiences with Dracula, it's consistent with his character and trauma that while he respects her intelligence, bravery, and skills, he doesn't want her to be directly involved with the danger of confronting Dracula directly, though we see how that ironically works out for both him and Mina, unfortunately.
Finally, while Stoker is obviously a bigot in every way, and it shows throughout the text, it's also important to remember that surprisingly, he and the text do not always agree with the characters' thoughts and actions, and all of these characters - including Jonathan - are meant to be complex and flawed. That's not saying you can't be upset about it, but not every terrible moment by the heroes in the book is meant to be read as a good thing where Stoker is just out of step with his modern audience.

au where crocea mors is super famous. to the point that when people see it they immediately know it and that only an arc could have it. nothing else has changed. jaune's still the loveable goof he always was. but how would jaune having a famous sword known to be wielded by heroes effect the story?
"Hey, uh, need a hand?"
Ruby looked at the leathery glove in front of her, then followed up the arm to boyishly good looking face of another student. He offered a kind smile to match his kind hand. Ruby took it and was pulled to her feet.
"Thank you." Ruby said.
"It's no problem." He replied. "I didn't really see the whole exchange, but I did see the explosion, so I thought I'd check out the aftermath to make sure nobody got hurt."
"Well, I'm made of tougher stuff." She rapped her knuckles against her chest. "I drink milk, y'know." The young man chuckled at that. "I'm Ruby; Ruby Rose."
"The name's Jaune Arc. Short, sweet, and rolls off the tongue." He smirked. "The ladies love it."
"Do they, though?" Jaune flinched at her question.
"Of course they do!" He boasted for a moment, before slumping his shoulders. "Or at least they would, if I knew any."
Ruby giggled. "You're one weird guy, Jaune." She blinked and thought for a moment. "Wait a minute... Where have I heard your last name before?"
Jaune flinched again, then turned away to mutter something. He turned back, a forced smile on his face. "Oh, you know, a common, family name."
"Is it?" She scratched her head. "I swear I think I've heard that name before."
"Attention, all students," loudspeaker screeched to life as a woman's voice spoke out from above, "all newly arriving students report to the auditorium in the main hall for your introductory seminar with Headmaster Ozpin. Do not be late."
"I guess we better go." Jaune said. "Main hall auditorium, right?"
"Mhm," Ruby nodded, shaking with excitement, "I can't believe I'm finally here!"
---------------------------------------------------
"I can't believe you're actually here!" Weiss shrieked, making everyone wince.
Ruby followed the screeching to find that mean girl from earlier, yelling at Jaune now, who was holding-
"CROCEA MORS!" Ruby was on the spot in half a blink. She felt a bit of drool coming down her chin as she ogled the sword. Sharpened to near perfection, crafted for effective comfort, and the way it shined in the fluorescent lights... Ruby couldn't help but squirm. "It's more beautiful than I read about."
"Hey! Back off!" Ruby was snapped from her admiration by the shrill command of the rich and snobby princess from earlier. "That sword belongs on the team of perfection, which includes myself as the team leader, the Invincible Girl, Pyrrha Nikos, and this... thing holding the most perfect weapon in existence. Even if I have to tolerate his existence."
"Hey! Don't talk about Jaune like that!" Ruby barked. "He's my friend, and I won't let you be mean to him!"
"We're friends?" Ruby turned to see Jaune looking at her with great trepidation. "You're... You're not going to ditch me once you find out who I really am?"
The sight almost broke Ruby's heart. The way he was awkwardly standing, paired with the look in his blue eyes, shining with near-tears was a epiphanic moment for the young reapette. Crocea Mors was a legendary blade, and it's custodians, the Arcs, were all legendary heroes. All of them except Jaune, who was just a guy who only became known as an Arc to the world mere moments ago. It was like looking in a fun house mirror.
"Of course we're friends." Without thinking, Ruby stepped forward and hugged him. She felt arms wrap around her, enjoying the best hug she's had in a long time.
"Thank you." Jaune replied with a smile, and she smiled as she hugged him tighter.

Intermission I: Festival
Occasionally in my stories there will be chapters called intermissions, where the focus will be on interactions between characters and are used to move the story along, as to not linger too long at a certain point. As a rule, intermissions hold no plot points, but that doesn't mean that the points brought up won't be touched upon later. Essentially, these can be seen as filler. Intermissions are formatted like headcanons for the sake of efficiency.
Hilda x Marianne ship hinted at
Childe and Tartaglia used interchangeably

Tumblr media
• Once Xinyan started playing, everyone was in awe. You had tried to explain rock to them before but could never find the right words, and it was made abundantly clear why from this performance.
• Hu Tao spent a great deal of time listening to Mercedes's ghost stories, enamored by the feeling of a chill running down her spine from words alone.
• Xiangling was having the time of her life. Not only was Raphael willing to taste test almost anything, but Dedue was more than willing to share some Duscur recipes.
• Ashe and Xingqiu hit it off almost immediately. How could they not while they both hold a burning passion for literature, chivalry, and justice? They've both commented on how the other seems like a hero from a story they read, one of noble birth and one of humble origins.
• You already know but I'm going to say it anyway. Felix and Childe got into a fight. It was actually closer than you'd think, Childe still won but he was so impressed that someone without a vision could do so well against him. Offered to be Felix's sparring partner again in the future.
• Beidou, Catherine, Jeralt, and Alois are now drinking buddies.
• You shared your reward money with the others, not having much use for the sheer amount and also knowing you wouldn't regret it as Ningguang has already discussed a meeting schedule with Alfonse and Sharena to discuss a currency exchange rate.
• Dorothea, Manuela, and Yun Jin discuss how operas of their respective worlds differ, the two divas hoping to give the current opera singer any pointers they can. She likely doesn't need any, but she's so curious that she wouldn't say that out loud.
• Hilda, finally having some mora thanks to you, decided to try on some fancy Liyue dresses, and Hilda's fashion choice combined with Liyue's style of clothing left Marianne a blushing, stuttering mess.
• Ferdinand was enthralled by Teyvat's many weapons. Even just the polearms had a variety of designs and it sparked his collector's flame, and when he heard some people had signature weapons unique to them, without being sacred artifacts or heirlooms, he wanted to explore all of Teyvat at that point just to see these weapons.
• Seteth, Flayn, and Rhea were interested in Liyue's religion and history, but not wanting a glorified children's tale they asked around and were led to Ganyu, who was surprised but thrilled that someone outside of Liyue's devoted was so interested in its history to the point of wanting the facts without the fluff.
• If you thought Shamir and Yelan would get along, you were wrong. They don't hate each other, but Yelan can't stand how blunt and work focused Shamir is. It's more of a one-sided thing as Shamir actually doesn't mind Yelan's "outgoing" attitude. (I had to close the game because I was not expecting this woman to whisper in my/Aether's ear during the last Lantern Rite event.) However, they both have mutual respect for each other's efficiency. Their interaction was brief, so they didn't really get to know each other.
• Dimitri, Edelgard, and Yuri wished not to offend any Liyue citizens and to not be cheated like the tourists they are, leading them to Yanfei, who was more than willing to teach someone about Liyue's laws and how to avoid scam artists.
• Claude wants to learn about Liyue's culture. Being the idealist that he is, he hopes it'll help him find a way to convince Almyra and Fodlan to stop fighting. This leads him to ask around, starting conversations with countless familiar faces.
• The two Byleths were keen to bring Sothis to a food stall, as the goddess has only recently attained a physical form thanks to being summoned. The two were met with a fist to the gut each after commenting on how cute she looked while eating.
• Arval, being in a similar position as Sothis, is also accompanied by the two Shez's. However, they seem more interested in physical activity like dancing or making their own lantern.
• Hubert, while keeping an eye on Edelgard from the shadows, was scared half to death when he realized he was being watched by a masked spearman. While their face was covered, he could feel a glare that threatened to pierce his entire being. Truly, none can escape the eye of The Vigilant Yaksha.
• Lorenz could be found trading poems with Xingqiu or Hu Tao.
• Jeritza was accompanying Mercedes and was practically being harassed by Tartaglia's requests to spar after hearing about him from Felix.
• The Traveler and Paimon met Constance and Hapi. They were kind of put off by Hapi's seemingly uncaring tone, but it was cute how her tone would shift when talking about her Coco. Constance was bosting about house Nuvelle as usual. When the two groups parted, Paimon couldn't help but comment on how familiar Constance's behavior was, but she couldn't explain why.
• Ingrid had lost sight of Sylvain, and when she found him, he was talking to Shenhe. Assuming the usual was taking place, she grabs Sylvain by the ear, apologizes, and drags him off, leaving Shenhe confused, as they were just talking about flowers.
• Monica is attached to Edelgard at the hip, constantly trying to get her to wear some accessories she thought would look nice on her.
• Bernadetta, still on the boat, decides to paint the harbor as the lanterns lit up the city enough for her to see it, and her window gave her the perfect view.
• Linhardt tried getting books from Wanwen bookhouse, but he couldn't tell fact from fiction, as in he couldn't read Teyvat's writing. Due to language not being a topic of interest for him, he gives up.
• Caspar and Ignatz had left the city. Caspar had too much energy to stay in the harbor, and Ignatz wanted to paint Liyue from a good angle. Both had a chance encounter with Kazuha, who complimented their respective qualities.
• Balthus had told everyone about Genius Invokation and suggested it to them as well
_______________________________________
If someone is absent from this, it means I couldn't think of anything involving them. My knowledge of certain characters is limited( I had to dig for Lorenz's poetry bit. ). Also, I know Yelan isn't really like that, but I put that in because I thought it might get a chuckle out of some people.

“No, I hate you and I’ve spent a ton of time and money trying to make you happy for no reason at all.” Derek deadpans and Stiles can’t help it, he smiles blindingly at Derek and leans in, smashing their mouths together.

“He can't blame me for the fact that I live in a building full of people united in the singular effort to ogle Hot Fireman as often as humanly possible."
Laura laughs, loud and echoing in the empty restaurant.
"Hot firemen can make a girl do crazy things," she agrees, nodding towards her brother's name on the menu. "Derek won't let me date anyone from his company, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate the eye candy."
"Send them my way," Stiles suggests, finally loading up a forkful of pie. "Apparently I'm incompetent enough that I need to be babysat at all times, because it would be cheaper than dispatching a truck every time I try to use a kitchen appliance."

Bucky held something out between them, changing the target of Clint’s focus. When Clint saw the stack of envelopes in Bucky’s hands, his heart stopped beating and he dropped his bow to the ground.
Shit.
“Shit,” Clint whispered, wanting to reach out and snatch the letters from Bucky’s grip, but unable to move due to the mortification flowing through him. “Did you read them?”

“You’ve got, like.” The witch taps his own chest, center mass, with the slice of pizza. “An infection, kinda. In your soul, I guess. Whatever you want to call it. Nobody wants to call it magic.”
“I don’t have any magic,” Bucky says, immediately. He’s not a witch.
“Sure,” the witch says. “Well, that thing you have that connects you to Steve, the part of you that can form bonds to other people. That part of you. It’s fucked.”
“Fucked,” Bucky repeats. He wonders if that’s a medical or magical diagnosis.

Scott looked up at him, apprehensive.
“Her name’s Lily.”
Stiles stared at the fuzzy head peeking out of the papoose.

“Actually I don’t know if she’s human?” Scott said with a confused frown. “Becca didn’t say.”

Frankly it’s a stupid idea, but Jason’s apparently known for his stupid ideas, including one which everybody in his ex-family has claimed led to his own death. Victim-blaming and general classism aside, yeah well if nobody’s going to treat Jason Todd like an adult or a hero — he thinks that he doesn’t need to be a hero. And ergo — Jason’s free to make stupid choices. Like getting into bed with Slade Wilson.

a/n: I wanted to write izuku babying katsuki with some angst and here we are. Also, the name is in fact directly quoting lyrics from Coward by Matt Maltese, enjoy.
Katsuki Bakugou's day had been shit. To say that would be an understatement, really.
He had woken up later than usual this morning, sleeping through his alarm - which he never did, by the way. Then he'd gotten to work and had a mountain of paperwork left over from a reckless pursuit he had with a villain the day prior. He'd caused countless property damage and now he had to file report after report after report.
And, to top it all off, when he finally did get out there to save people, he had failed over and over again.
Armed Robbery? He had to ask for backup. Mugging? The guy got away. He was called in for backup? He got there too late. He felt like he was headed in the wrong direction with every step he took. Like Katsuki thought he was taking steps forward only to find that his torso had been turned 180 this whole time. It was driving him insane.
So, yeah. Shit day, to say the least.
Needless to say, when Izuku cautiously enters his office at the end of the day, Katsuki is already past his limit.
"Out." Katsuki says through grit teeth, not even looking up to see who it was.
"Yikes.. so you are as angry as everyone's been saying."
Katsuki growls, eyes snapping up to look at Izuku.
"Get out."
"Kacchan."
"Deku."
Izuku crosses his arms over his chest defiantly and Katsuki finds it so irritating. The little shit thinks he can get away with anything just cause.
(Katsuki definitely lets him get away with more than he should, but it's not like he'd admit that aloud, let alone to himself)
"You know, being so angry all the time can't be good for your health." izuku says, closing the door behind him and walking towards Katsuki's desk. Katsuki rolls his eyes.
"Oh, sorry. Didn't realize you were a doctor now." Katsuki seethes, sarcastically. He seriously doesn't have the patience for this today.
Izuku huffs, standing in front of his desk. Katsuki's pen digs a hole in his paperwork.
"Ha. Ha. Seriously, Kacchan. Are you okay?"
And Izuku's voice is so genuine. It almost startles Katsuki, even after all these years. Even after Izuku spent their whole lives chasing after Katsuki asking if he was okay. Katsuki thinks it probably won't ever feel normal. He doesn't really deserve it, after all.
"Do I look okay?" Katsuki answered, throwing his pen down in favor of setting his head in the palms of his hands.
"Kacchan." Izuku said, and it was so much softer this time.
Katsuki felt an old part of him flare up at it. Don't look down on me, it screamed. Even though Katsuki knew that wasn't what was going on here. Izuku cared about him and was showing it.
Much unlike himself, despite his best attempts.
"What?"
"Can I.. I mean." Izuku let out a breath, fidgeting with his fingers. Katsuki hated it.
Is he scared of me? A smaller part of himself asked. He swallowed.
"I want to help. Will you let me?"
"How could you help?" Katsuki spat before he could stop himself. He sighed, lifting his head from his hands. Izuku smiled like that was the exact response he'd expected.
I don't deserve this. Yeah, Katsuki agreed. Izuku was always too nice to him and it didn't make any fucking sense.
"I can show you, if that's okay? I think it might really help."
Katsuki hesitated for more than a second, before nodding.
"Okay, c'mere."
"What? No, you come here. I'm not walking over to you."
"Kacchan."
"Izuku" Katsuki mocked. Izuku huffed and defiantly pointed at the floor in front of him. Katsuki rolled his eyes but still pushed up from his chair, dragging himself over to Izuku.
"Okay, I'm fuckin' here. What now?"
"I'm going to touch Kacchan, is that okay?"
"What?! No, it's not!" Katsuki nearly shouted, pride flaring.
A beat passed and the two just looked at each other. Katsuki sighed.
"Yeah.. It's okay." Katsuki hesitated. "I guess."
Izuku nodded and stepped forward, lightly pressing the palm of his hand to Katsuki's cheek. Katsuki felt his face burn.
"Is this okay?"
Katsuki nodded.
Izuku smiled and took that as a green light to put his hand in Katsuki's hair. He gently pet through Katsuki's hair. His fingers dragged through his spikes slowly, cautiously. And when they reached the end, they returned right back at the beginning again, repeating the same motion.
"Is this okay?" Izuku asked again, his eyes never leaving Katsuki's face.
Katsuki hated to admit it (so he wouldn't) but it felt.. nice. Relaxing, even.
"Are you gonna ask that every five seconds?" Katsuki complained and his voice came out so much softer than normal. What the fuck.
"Well, how am I supposed to tell if I'm making you uncomfortable?"
"I'll tell you to fuckin' stop? Obviously?" Katsuki grumbled, still much softer than he intended. What was happening?
Izuku huffed, frowning at him, but seemed to accept the answer, as the hand in his hair started guiding Katsuki's head to rest on Izuku's shoulder gently. Katsuki let him.
I don't deserve this.
"Relax, Kacchan." Izuku cooed, softly. Almost in the same way one would talk to a child. Oddly enough, Katsuki couldn't seem to care. Not with Izuku's hand still in his hair, at least.
Katsuki's body relaxed in an instant as if it had a mind of its own.
"The hell are you doin'?" Katsuki grumbled into Izuku's shoulder as his head began to be cradled.
"Mmm.. Coddling you."
"Coddling?"
"Mhm."
"..Why's it feel so nice?" Katsuki murmured, despite his pride. He could feel all the tension leaving his body at once. It felt too nice. There had to be a catch.. He couldn't just relax like this.
Izuku laughed and Katsuki could feel the action with their proximity. It was a deep hum in his chest...again, it was nice.
"I dunno, Kacchan. You tell me."
Katsuki grumbled unintelligibly instead of a response.
"Kacchan, you're tensing up again." Izuku said, amusement dripping from his voice. he placed a gentle hand on the small of his back and the touch felt like electricity. "Relax."
And as if it were a command directly to Katsuki's heart, his body obeyed. Katsuki wasn't sure if he'd ever been so relaxed.
"Why the hell is it so relaxing?"
Izuku hummed.
"Some people say it's because it brings out your inner child or something. Like, reminds you of being little and held by an adult. So it puts you in that sort of headspace where you just.. don't have to worry anymore."
"I've never been held like this." Katsuki swallowed after the admission. Why did I say that?
"Kacchan.. really?" Izuku asked sympathetically and it didn't irritate Katsuki as much as it normally did. He nodded into Izuku's shoulder.
"Yeah, parents didn't exactly tuck me into bed or anythin'."
"Well.." Izuku started after a moment of silence. "I'm here now. You're safe here."
The words shot through Katsuki like a bullet.
You're safe here.
Safe.
"I...am?" Katsuki whispered, bewildered.
"Yeah. I'll always be a safe space for Kacchan. As long as you want it."
Katsuki's mouth felt dry.
"Why?"
"What do you mean, why?"
Katsuki swallowed, staying silent for a while. He rolled the words around in his head, trying to debate how open he should be right now. Just as Izuku began scratching his scalp, he decided fuck it. Whatever, he could deny everything later if he needed to.
"I've only ever been awful to you. I don't deserve this."
"Kacchan.."
"It's true, isn't it? I made your life hell for so long. Why would you ever..?"
Izuku pressed a light kiss into Katsuki's hair and his brain short-circuited. All thoughts pouring out of his ear and onto the floor.
"You aren't like that anymore. It's okay. I forgave you for that a long time ago."
"Why?" Katsuki croaked, his voice betraying him. He snapped his eyes shut. He didn't want to cry in front of izuku like this.
"I never really blamed you in the first place. I knew you didn't mean it."
"Bullshit."
"I'm being honest. Really. None of that was your fault." Izuku said softly, scratching Katsuki's scalp gently. Katsuki had to focus hard not to lose his train of thought again.
"Who's then? Yours?"
"No." Izuku said, and it surprised Katsuki. Don't get him wrong, he was glad that Izuku didn't blame himself, but who did he blame if not Katsuki or himself?
"I don't blame anyone." Izuku said, like it was as easy to see as the sky is blue.
"What? That makes no fuckin' sense."
Izuku sighed, low and quiet. Katsuki was so confused. He couldn't blame no one. Someone was to blame and it was so clearly Katsuki.
"I don't blame anyone," Izuku repeated. "Sometimes bad things just happen and all you can do is accept it and move on. What? Are you going to tell me you blame people for earthquakes or something?"
"You know that's different." Katsuki grunted. "Earthquakes are unavoidable. All you can do is do the best you can with a shit scenario."
Oh.
"Exactly." Izuku whispered. "No matter what, you still would have bullied me, I think. I think it was unavoidable. With all the pressure put on you to succeed.. It only makes sense. And either way, I still don't think you ever meant it."
"But.." Katsuki whispered, hands fisting Izuku's shirt on his back. "I did such horrible things.. how can you just.."
"Kacchan, you being upset over this is proof enough that you are good. I don't care about anything that happened back then. I care about now."
There was a long silence that followed and Katsuki kept his eyes shut tightly, fighting off the need to cry. He would not.
"It's okay if you need to cry," Izuku said, after a moment. "I won't judge you.
"..You won't?" Katsuki asked, voice breaking.
"I won't," Izuku echoed gently, running his fingers through katsuki's hair tenderly. "It's safe here. You can cry as much as you need."
As soon as the words left izuku's mouth, it was like a dam had bursted inside Katsuki. He began sobbing uncontrollably, hands clutching Izuku as his shoulder shook with each tear.
"Shh.." Izuku cooed softly. "It's okay, baby. Let it all out."
So Katsuki did. He cried and cried and cried. Until he felt he had nothing left, his insides torn open and raw right there for only izuku to see. And oddly enough, Katsuki didn't totally hate it. It felt nice... Which was a stark contrast to his usual crying fits. They usually left him feeling sour and sick. Which was why he avoided them in the first place.
This time though, he felt.. nice. It felt like his tears had actually meant something. Like he hadn't just been uselessly crying alone in his bedroom. Which, he guessed, this time he wasn't. Maybe it was because he had been given the space to feel without judgment. Or maybe it was something else. Hell if he knew.
After Katsuki's tears subsided, the two stayed in silence. Katsuki had nothing to say though, so it was fine by him. Although, izuku must have had other ideas because he eventually spoke softly.
"..Do you blame your parents?"
"What'd'you mean?" He asked, sniffing.
"I mean.. for everything? How you turned out I guess? Do you blame your parents?"
Did Katsuki Bakugou blame his parents for how he turned out? Yes, obviously. If it weren't for them, he wouldn't have probably any of the pressure he had on himself then and in the present. He would probably be nicer. He wouldn't struggle with nearly half the things he did.
"Kinda, yeah." Katsuki said, turning his head to look at Izuku, who was staring forward, not looking at Katsuki. "Why?"
"I don't think you should," Izuku said simply, in the same way, he'd said it about Katsuki being a bully. What was with this guy being so forgiving? "I mean, yeah, they did a pretty poor job raising you right but-"
"That was their job. The one thing they were supposed to do, they fucked up. How is that on me?" Katsuki spat, defensively.
"No! No.. that's not what I meant.." Izuku said, eyes darting around the room. "Just.. hear me out okay?"
Katsuki nodded and Izuku continued after taking a slow breath.
"They did a bad job. You're not wrong about that. But what if they were doing the best they could?" Izuku paused, looking like he was picking his words carefully to get his point across. "I mean, you are their first and only son, right? So, let's take it from their perspective.
"She had a kid with this awesome quirk that wanted to be a hero. Maybe she felt scared for you or maybe she genuinely wanted you to be the best, I don't know. But she put that pressure on you to succeed for some reason. And I think she was trying to give you the best she could.
"And in your teen years when you became angry and resentful.. Maybe she thought to herself, Oh, this is just how teens are. So she let it fester and grow when it shouldn't have. Kacchan, I genuinely think your parents were doing what they thought would be best for you. It still sucked, and isn't okay that it happened but.. I don't think it's anyone's fault, really. I think... it's an earthquake."
Izuku looked at Katsuki after that and he nodded. It made a lot of sense.. and he'd never thought about it like that.
"A shit situation." Katsuki echoed. Izuku smiled.
"Yeah, that." Izuku paused, cupping Katsuki's cheek in his hand and Katsuki closed his eyes against the soft touch. "It doesn't mean you need to go forgive them or anything just.. think about it, yeah? I mean, if I only took your actions at face value we wouldn't be here right now. Maybe your mom is the same, you know?"
Katsuki nodded, opening his eyes again. Yeah.. that made a lot of sense.
"You're right," Katsuki admitted. "Maybe I've been to harsh to her. Maybe.." Katsuki trailed off.
"Again, don't do anything on my account. It's just.. food for thought."
Katsuki nodded, standing up straight finally. He felt a lot better after everything with Izuku.
"Thanks. I uh.. I'm probably gonna head out." Katsuki said, taking a step away from Izuku.
"You sure?"
"Yeah. Yeah, I'm sure." Katsuki said. And after all, he had a lot to think about and do now.
And maybe call his mom.

Reluctant Hero?
= Eighteen = (Chapter List)
Glynda: (Her left eye twitching) Mr Arc. What is the meaning of this?
Jaune: (Standing in the doorway with nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist) Don't have a change of clean clothes, duh.
Glynda: And WHY don't you have spare clothes?
Jaune: They're in the Delta, which you wouldn't let me bring up.
Glynda: We told you Mr Arc there are not parking spaces up here.
Jaune: I call bullshit.
Glydna: (Right eye starting to twitch) You can call it whatever you want. It does not change the facts. Where are your original clothes?
Jaune: Drip drying in the bathroom.
Glynda: Mr Winchester, do you have any clothes that you can lend Mr Arc?
Cardin: No.
Glynda: And why is that?
Cardin: Only brought one change.
Nora: Same.
Glynda: Follow me, we'll get you a Beacon uniform, and Mr Arc?
Jaune: Yes?
Glynda: If you even think of flashing anyone... I will...
Jaune: Got it. No need to expand on that statement.
Turning on her heels, Glynda walked off. Jaune looked at Nora and Cardin and just shrugged his shoulders before following.
Nora: Tell me again why I'm hanging around with you guys?
Cardin: We got high together?
/==/ Deep in The Emerald Forest /==/
Twisted and infested, grimm prowled the shadows as a pale and putrefying severed arm dragged itself along the forest floor using the fingers of the still attached hand. At the severed end, maggots squirmed and wiggled, extending it. Currently, they were rebuilding the elbow.
A little distance away, performing a similar action but using the side of a booted foot, a length of amputated lower leg also moved through the forest debris. Like the arms, maggots swarmed its bloody stump, as a knee began to take shape.
/==/ 20 minutes later - Headmaster's Office /==/
Ozpin sat behind his desk, rubbing the side of his jaw. Aura had healed the damage, but he still could feel the phantom of pain from the blow. Before him stood three would-have-been students. To his left, standing near the still cracked window, was Professor Goodwitch.
Ozpin: Mr Arc. Mr Winchester. Ms Valkyrie. Thank you for finally arriving.
Jaune: Sorry, but I needed some clothes.
Ozpin: Seeing as you are currently in a Beacon Student uniform, that is obvious. But that is beside the point. I have some news from Doctor Oobleck.
Jaune: Let's hear it.
Ozpin: What about?
Jaune: I'll bring them up to speed later. Come on, let's go.
Ozpin: Well, Doctor Oobleck has started his translation, and he is following your precautions. He is not reading any of the passages out-loud, and he is keeping the tome in a circle of salt.
Jaune: Yada-yada. Come on.
Ozpin: While he has yet to find the passages you are looking for, ones that will dismiss this... whatever it is.
Jaune: It's evil. Come on.
Ozpin: He has found several references to a weapon. One created to combat these entities.
Jaune: Okay, that's something. Anything else.
Ozpin: While the book does not detail where this weapon can be found, it does give us a name and description... the Kandarian Dagger.
Cardin: So this super-weapon is nothing but a knife?
Ozpin: It is more than that, Mr Winchester. According to Doctor Oobleck's research, its blade was fashioned using unknown means from iron, salt and... these are the words from the book... bound by the blood of demons.
Jaune: Okay, but what does it look like?
Ozpin: It is described as having a blade twelve inches long, and a handle made from an intricately carved human tibia, with a screaming skill caved on the end. But again, Doctor Oobleck has yet to find any clue where this weapon could be found.
Jaune: I might know where it is.
Ozpin: Mr Arc?
Jaune: There was something that looked like what you described in that cabin.
Ozpin: Are you sure?
Jaune: Not really, it just sounds familiar.
Ozpin: I see. While it is not much, I will dispatch a team of huntsmen to...
Jaune: No, you won't.
Ozpin: Pardon?
Jaune: No one is to go near that damnable place, let alone people who have no idea what they are walking into.
Ozpin: Then how do you...?
Jaune: I'll go, not that I want to see the place that ruined my life... but it's the only option. I know what I'll be facing up there.
