Daily PSA:
Violence isnt okay, and it is never okay to attack civilians under any circumstances.
I don't care which side is doing it, each side can be condemned in turn by everyone.
There is too much darkness in the world and if everyone can stop justifying the murdering of literal children that would be perfect.

i saw someone point out the frequency with which liberals back social justice movements... how, for instance, when ferguson happened under obama it was not popular and there were many, many liberals who found the blm movement, in a sense, "in violation of [liberal] sensibilities" (when liberalism as a rule does not challenge the status quo, only maintains it and sees any call for revolution or real change as disruptive or 'bad for optics' and therefore not acceptable) but then when trump became president and he opposed blm a lot more liberals decided that the blm movement had merit because they viewed it from a team-sports perspective rather than a worldview based on morals and an understanding of the systems in place in the U.S. - that it was more comfortable for them to operate from a "trump bad" basis rather than "the american justice system and the police are inherently white supremacist, which are inherently, automatically, and always violent"
+ that, if trump was president while israel is carrying out its genocide, liberals would have NO problem denouncing israel and demanding for a ceasefire because they're comfortable operating from the 2-party system basis, NOT from a framework based on material conditions or factors or any acknowledgement or analysis of imperialism, colonialism, or capitalism. but because biden is a democrat, and democrats are supposed to be "the decent party" "the lesser evil" "more respectable" when, in functionality - in real practice, they don't want to disrupt the status quo. (internally, maintaining systems of white supremacy and capitalism; externally, furthering U.S. imperialism by maintaining hegemony and continuing the practice of exploitation and extraction of labor+capital+resources from the global south)
which is why we're here, a month into a genocide, and liberals are so cowardly and gutless that, in the face of our democrat president allowing and funding the genocide of palestinians in order for the U.S. to maintain its military base in the middle east, liberals IMMEDIATELY jump to "well, you HAVE to vote for him still, because trump will be worse!" and go "well im powerless there's nothing i can do", immediately folding like a wet paper bag in the face of the american empire rearing its ugly head in the most blatant, naked way in years, instead of thinking "this is unacceptable, i should pressure my elected officials and do everything i can - be it combating propaganda, contacting my congresspeople or senators, protesting, or engaging in direct action - to ensure this stops as quickly as possible".
there are liberals STILL IN MY NOTIFICATIONS who go "well you'll be electing a fascist if you vote for trump" not realizing that YOU CAN'T SIMPLY VOTE FASCISM AWAY. (which is not to say you should vote for republicans; that's not what i'm saying. none of us have said it.) we're pretty much already there. it's 2003 all over again, with the patriot act and all. the american war machine is pumping out racist, orientalist, pro-colonial, pro-genocide propaganda on behalf of the ethno-state america and its allies have backed since the so-called state's inception. people are being doxxed, fired, harassed, and attacked for visibly supporting palestine/opposing israel. islamophobic hate crimes are on the rise; a 6 year old boy was murdered not one month ago, an arab doctor in texas was stabbed to death. antisemitism is on the rise as well, thanks to the conflation of antisemitism with anti-zionism (which nazis have and will attempt to co-op in order to 'justify' + then act on their antisemitism, racism, and genocidal worldviews). our government is silencing people, brutalizing protestors, and arming and funding an ethno-state committing genocide - everything that would have been called fascist if it was under trump. but because it's a *democrat* liberals place "vote blue no matter who" and "optics" over the extremely basic moral stance that "genocide is wrong and people have the right to self-determination, autonomy, and life". arabs and muslims are already so dehumanized in the west that liberals (whether they consider themselves liberals or not) consider it an inconvenience to talk about the ongoing genocide that is happening with the blessing of OUR government. in this they expose their selfishness, the shallowness of their morals, their chauvinism, and their racism/orientalism/islamophobia/et cetera.
for example, if you see israeli troops waving a gay pride flag and the israeli state touting its support of gay people while said iof soldiers are murdering men, women, and children en masse every single day and you somehow????? think that because gay people are the ones doing the killing or a state claims to support gay people is doing the killing is ok then 1) you have fallen for pinkwashing propaganda and 2) that you find the murder of palestinians, or any people, permissible by a colonial force that uses causes liberals may genuinely care about in order to disguise, whitewash, or "lessen" the severity of the injustices it does unto usually black and brown people outside of the U.S., then you are just as bloodthirsty and depraved as anyone you would personally assign those descriptors of.
once again, it goes back to resorting to a team-sport understanding of the world rather than approaching it from a material one.

Is anyone here a former Zionist?
I was a Zionist for a while due to being ignorant. I was raised in an environment that preached “Israel is God’s chosen people”. Sometimes I questioned it as it didn’t seem fair that Palestinians had to suffer in the name of Jesus but people saw any criticism as antisemitism. Even as I drifted leftward, I still held onto Zionism. I had a phase where I felt I had to convert to Judaism because of what many Zionist bloggers preach about atheists which is just a progressive sounding version of Christian beliefs that atheists have no morals and live sad empty lives. Zionists would call any protest antisemitic or claim Israelis were the true indigenous people and that Zionism was a social justice movement. I fell for some of the BS “Israel is the only pro LGBT democracy in the Middle East” but now I know how they really treat trans/queer people and the foothold the fundamentalist orthodox have in the government. Last year I joined a pro Palestine club at my school but we mostly did fundraising events. When I first got on this Hellsite, I followed some Zionist bloggers, but started to question why I did that. Now I am working to unlearn a lot of the BS I was fed. I still have a lot to learn, but I’m disgusted with Zionism and support Palestine and its people.

Ok, so this is a post that I should have made sooner. I've been somewhat out of the loop with regards to current events and the state of discourse on this website courtesy of a pretty serious depressive episode from which I am only just now recovering. As I have emerged from this state I have been pushed towards a conclusion about this website and the state of discussion around the ongoing Israel-Gaza War that I had thus far avoided due in part to my barely possessing the energy to keep myself alive and due in part to my denial that the conclusion could be true. But that denial can no longer hold.
It has become openly apparent that the pro-Palestinian camp on this website has become popularly infused with a degree of blatant, aggressive antisemitism that I, in my naivety thought impossible in the days just after October 7. I am trying to avoid turning this into a mea culpa because that would be unproductive and feel self-serving, but I do feel an obligation to admit that I disregarded prescient warnings from Jewish users whose warnings I dismissed as over-blowing a problem that I felt was real, but more limited in scope than they made out.
I'm neither an idiot nor am I ignorant. I am well aware of the long history of antisemitism in leftist politics and in the Palestinian Liberation movement. Back at the beginning of this crisis I was prepared to see the occasional instance of antisemites using the inevitable, overwhelming Israeli retaliation as an excuse to air their hateful politics. I was prepared to see both the well-meaning but ignorant and the malicious alike sharing tweets from antisemitic pro-Palestine accounts, spreading and normalizing low-grade, subtle antisemitism. Make no mistake, this should have been condemned. Antisemitism, like all bigotries, has no 'safe' level. There is no background level of antisemitism that society should just accept as normal. But I was more focused on the inevitable cacophony of suffering that Israel would almost certainly begin meting out, and so I failed to act.
The fatal blow to my denial was the increasing prevalence of the use of quotation marks around the word "Israel" and "Israeli". The first few times I saw this, I didn't really understand what it meant. Still laboring under the belief that antisemitism was a manageable problem on the left, I was certain that most of the users on this site, well-intentioned, goodhearted, critically thinking people that they were, would have recognized and called out even disguised antisemitism before it took over a good 20-40% of all posts about the conflict. I was a damn naive fool. For those, like past me, who have not cottoned on to the meaning of the quotation marks, they have become a way to express the denial of the legitimacy or even existence of, individually or all together, the State of Israel, the Israeli people, or the right of either Jews or Israelis to identify as Israelis.
CONGRATULATIONS TUMBLR! You have successfully revived from depths of 4chan neo-Nazi boards the (((fucking echoes))).
Are you serious? Are you fuckers for real? This, right here, encapsulates the pitch-black absurdity of this whole situation and why I remained in denial for so long. Never, in a million years, would I imagine that the proudly pro-Social Justice, anti-fascist, 100% Certified SAFE-SPACE(tm) website would end up using the same language as the goddamn Nazis on 4chan. I thought this website was smarter than that. But noooo, it turns out that I was a damn naive fool.
This was where the post was originally going to end. I say my piece, hope to change a few minds, and commit myself to actually fighting antisemitism instead of sitting back and dismissing the problem. But I figure, while I'm here and while I still have the driving forces of anger and guilt pushing me along, I may as well put pen to paper and spew forth my other thoughts on the ongoing crisis. I am thus compiling a much longer post detailing my thoughts on some aspects of the current situation. [EDITED ~1:25 AM GMT, 5 Dec 2023: add link to finished post] That post will definitely be long, probably be angry, possibly wrong on some aspect of fact, and will absolutely be pretentious, preachy, self-righteous and hubristic to a positively Hellenistic degree. Brief, non-comprehensive summary so you can decide whether or not get mad at me ahead of time;
Israel does apartheid, or near enough for government work.
Israel is definitely conducting a campaign of forced displacement, possibly amounting to ethnic cleansing, but I remain unconvinced of the claim of genocide.
Hamas may or may not be a anti-colonialist revolutionary group, but it definitely is an antisemitic terrorist organization with genocidal aspirations and actively supporting them is morally indefensible. Yes, this includes the Al-Qassam Brigades.
Anti-colonial and other revolutionary movements do in fact have fundamental moral obligations and suffering oppression does not give you carte blanche to do terrorism, even when an oppressor attempts to render peaceful opposition impossible. There is a middle ground between peaceful marching and 850+ dead civilians; aim for that.
The left is just as prone to unhinged conspiracism as the right.
Verify your sources, for fuck's sake.
Use nuance. It won't kill you.
There's more, but it's a little difficult to summarize an unfinished post. If you want to argue with any of these points, go ahead, just keep in mind that a longer, more comprehensive post is in the works that might have the answer to your argument/complaint/insult/intellectual disagreement. If that post isn't up by midnight GMT on Friday, assume I forgot about it and argue away. In conclusion, antisemitism is bad, apartheid is also bad, Tumblr is a hellsite (derogatory), "From the river to the sea" is, in fact, antisemitic, seriously, stop saying it, take Jews seriously when they warn you about antisemitism instead of writing them off like a damn naive fool, and last but not least, free Palestine.

Update post:
The International Court of Justice has rejected the request of South Africa to stop any future Israeli military activity in Rafah. The provisional measures that were given less than a month ago still stand, and the ICJ determined for now, they're enough, while also saying Israel does have to comply with them (I think it's funny to say Israel has to do something it was already doing, but okay).
Tumblr media
After Israeli Minister of Defense presented the names of, and info on, 12 UNRWA workers who were a part of the Hamas massacre, he also shared that at least 30 more UNRWA workers were personally involved in assissting the massacre or participating in post-massacre terrorist activity (such as kidnapping living or murdered Israelis, keeping the hostages imprisoned, or moving them from one hiding place to another). You can find more info on the extensive ties of UNRWA workers with Palestinian terrorist organizations in my UNRWA tag.
Tumblr media
In continuation to this, a video was published showing an UNRWA worker, called Faisal Ali Musalam Naami, with the help of another Hamas terrorist, kidnapping the body of a murdered Israeli to Gaza. Israel has indicated that Naami was a social worker, and was eliminated by the IDF on Oct 16. BTW, I saw the vid first airing on Israeli TV before they realized they hadn't blurred the body. I can't even explain what it was like watching it, something about seeing the sagging limbs being dragged just made the whole thing even more inhumane, so the impact is different than if you only watch the blurred vid, as much as I know it was done to preserve the dignity of that murdered man, and as much as I agree with that.
youtube
I mentioned the other day that the IDF has arrested at least 60 terrorists from among the people coming out of the Nasser hospital in Khan Younis. This number has now been updated to 100 terrorists. Among them, the Palestinian reporters have claimed that the Nasser hospital director was arrested as well, but the IDF has denied this. In comparison, the IDF announced it officially on Nov 23 when it did arrest the director of the Shifa hospital director due to his collaboration with Hamas.
Tumblr media
In addition to IDF soldiers finding a copy of Hitler's Mein Kampf among the possessions of a Hamas terrorist in Gaza, we have now been presented with another antisemitic conspircay book found there. This time, it's a book called (in Arabic) 'End of the Jews' and it was written by Hamas' co-founder, who is also the former Foreign Minister of the Palestinian Authority.
Tumblr media
The book's cover is described as showing "swords and daggers piercing through Stars of David, and Jews drowning in blood."
Tumblr media
As antisemitism continues to rise all around the world, at the same time that people deny its very nature, the Jewish Book Council has launched an initiative to track down antisemitic incidents targeting Jewish authors, both those who are pro-Israel and those who are accused of it in spite of being silent about the Jewish state, or targeting the Jewish visitors at book events.
Tumblr media
In Israel's northern community of Margaliot, a chicken coop was attacked by Hezbollah fire, and an entire flock was killed. In an interview, the coop owner said he doesn't believe the place can be restored. The on going attacks by Hamas on Israel's southern agricultural communities, and by Hezbollah on Israel's northern ones, when taken together, is a real threat to the food security of all 9.8 million Israeli citizens.
Tumblr media
This is 35 years old Matan Lior.
Tumblr media
He provided the sound, illumination and electricity infrastructure at the Nova music festival. Because of his job there, he was among the last to leave the scene, guiding others to evacuate. When they found his corpse, it was in a car, bending over another women, trying to protect her with his own body. May his memory be a blessing.

Last anon here -- I'm sorry for sending that message through. I don't know what is and isn't true anymore.
I deleted what I presume was your first ask (the one accusing me of not condemning the Gaza genocide and calling me a "DNC shill and a liar") because it was rude, uncalled for, and I couldn't see any good to come of engaging with it. However, because you've returned and apologized and sent this followup, I am willing to answer it, because I am aware that we can all do stupid things (especially on the internet) that we regret. So there is that.
Once again: I have strictly limited my posts/reblogs on this topic because it is so inflammatory, there are reams of people willing to attack you on every side, and none of it is actually constructive (this is the blue hellsite where we have two whole jokes about Ea-Nasir and color theory in children's hospitals. We are not doing important social justice work here and expecting this to be the main/only forum in which we post the Correct Opinions is not going to work out for anyone). But I would like, for the record, to point out that I have condemned the situation in Gaza and explicitly called it a genocide and Netanyahu and co. war criminals. Often and repeatedly:
Ask from October 28, 2023:
What’s happening to the Gazans right now is no qualification or equivocation, a genocide. It should rightfully be opposed and called what it is. But unfortunately, I have spent too much time around Western Online Leftists to believe they actually care a whit about stopping genocide as a fundamental principle, and only want to be seen to loudly care about what their Ideology has told them to care about. [...] To put it bluntly, those genocides are being committed by nation-states that Online Leftists like for being “anti-Western,” and therefore their activities are actually fine and should even need to be defended.
Another post from December 2023 explicitly calling out Netanyahu and his cabinet, while also pointing out that Tumblr's response now mostly consisted of antisemitic dogwhistles and rampant political misinformation:
[...] the way Netanyahu is personally a genocidal maniac with a far-right cabinet of war criminals and is bent on continuing the war in order to escape his own criminal prosecutions (and yes, he is HIGHLY affiliated with Trump and Putin) but this somehow still does not remotely justify or excuse the rampant frothingly mindless and generalized anti-Semitism seen everywhere on leftist spaces these days [....]
An ask from January 10th, 2024 (worth probably reading in full) where I once more say that nobody wants this to be happening, but that once again, the criticism in Western leftist forums (particularly Tumblr/Twitter) is not made equally or in good faith :
Nobody of basic good sense and decency wants to see Gaza leveled while the Israeli state continues to apply a number of violently cruel collective punishments even outside the actual daily bombing of civilians. But for the love of god, let’s get rid of the idea that the continued mindless violence doesn’t benefit Hamas (because it does; unsurprisingly, sympathy for their cause has soared in Gaza) as much as it does Israel, or that Hamas is some kind of benevolent peacemaker that is being thwarted by the cruel imperialist US/West.
This post, also from January 2024, explains why the kind of stunt-trick "pro Palestinian" activism that just relies on publicly hassling Jews is a) antisemitic and b) actively harming the people of Gaza, while once again pointing out whose fault this whole mess actually is:
If these people actually wanted to advocate constructively for Palestine in a good-faith way and not just punish random Jews or people who might have once met a Jew (which they don’t), they would take a look at that, go “hmm, this isn’t really getting the right result” and listen to the people who are telling them that by generating this bad publicity, they are doing far more harm to the cause than good. They are going to make the cause look foolish, they will drive away anyone who isn’t already radicalized, they will shut down any possibility of discussion and dialogue, and their efforts will be picked up in the Israeli nationalist right-wing media/Netanyahu and his war criminal advisors to insist to left-wing or anti-zionist Jews that (one of the, you know, big fucking reasons Israel was founded in the first place) they aren’t safe in any other country in the world, and they need to support the Israeli government’s actions, no matter how heinous.
A follow-up from January 31, 2024, discussing (again) the problems with insisting that Biden personally/the American power apparatus is just giving Israel a blank check and therefore Biden Iz Bad And This is All His Fault:
Once again: I strongly disagree with the idea of just giving Israel/Netanyahu a blank check to keep committing atrocities, but I also need to repeatedly point out that Biden isn’t doing that. His initial unconditional support of Israel after October 7 (which at the time was the correct response) has shifted to a much more measured and conditional approach where he has muted the overtly pro-Israel statements and started talking about a two-state solution and the need to protect the lives of civilians and trying to keep a lid on what could become a REALLY bad situation with all kinds of war-hungry powers eager to jump into the Middle East and blow it completely to hell.
I am a historian. This does not mean that I always know The Greatest Things Ever, but it does mean that I default toward long, cautious, and qualified responses where I try to consider multiple perspectives and nuances, rather than just posting pithy soundbites or black-and-white statements. (Yes, I know; I am doomed on social media.) Thus when I do discuss the situation, I tend toward trying to put it in broader context, to push back sharply against the idea that being "pro Palestine" is just being wildly antisemitic on social media and nothing else, and to call out those bad actors who are using this situation to continue to imperil American democracy and deliberately try to get Trump (who openly hankers to be a genocidal fascist dictator for everyone, not just Israel/Palestine) back into office.
I know that this is a situation which provokes (to say the least) strong emotions from everyone. I know that it's infuriating to feel totally helpless and just to have to watch it from afar. I know that we all wish we could stop it and that leads us to create meaning or assign importance to our own actions where there actually is none. But that does not mean that people have total liberty to spread antisemitic conspiracy theories, wild political misinformation, narratives designed whether unwittingly or deliberately to help Trump and other far-right fascists, and otherwise anonymously dogpile on people who haven't Posted The Correct Opinion on Tumblr (once again, Tumblr, where we get our news via Destiel meme). So I hope this has helped you, if this is what you wanted to get out of contacting me today, and hope also that you'll continue to think about what to do and how to act. It's hard, I know, and you have my sympathy. But so it is for us all.

“My heart goes out to Israel but—”
“I am pro-palestinian but Israelís should be able to live in peace too—”
“Even though Israel is an apartheid regime, I still think that—”
Shut up.
Just shut the fuck up.
If you can’t have compassion for other human beings without adding a caveat, we don’t want your words. Keep them to yourself. Because they’re not for our benefit; it’s performative bullshit. We are merely cannon fodder in your attempt to insert yourself in another social justice issue.
Get mental help. Do better.

Jungkook has done this a million times. He could even play the electric guitar with his eyes closed as he sings the lyrics proudly. It’s always been easy, but not tonight.
Everything was going perfectly. The crowd was going wild, screaming out the lyrics as their arms were in the air, pointing at Jungkook and his bandmate Yoongi who was a pro at every instrument. But as the lights began to flick all over the crowd, Jungkook’s breath hitched.
There you stood. Watching him with delicate eyes, the same eyes you wore when Jungkook cradled your face right before kissing you. You notice his stare, standing still as time slows around you both. Jungkook manages to forget all the lyrics, continuing to play the guitar as his mouth stands agape and gaze fixated on you.
It’s not noticeable for the audience, but it is for you. You begin to move, removing yourself from the flashing fluorescent lights as your back meets his eyes and suddenly you’re gone.
Jungkook thinks he’s hallucinating, not believing his own eyes and therefore proceeds to perform as he usually does.
When the concert ends on a good note, Jungkook feels a sinking feeling in his gut. It’s not something he’s felt for a long time.
One thing you should know about Jungkook is that he never truly feels. Which also explains his long list of one night stands.
It wasn’t always like this. Because back then, there was you. The only person who knows each and every struggle Jungkook carries. You know his deepest thoughts and fears. You’re the only one that’s able to affect him, turn him into the Jungkook he’s constantly tried to run from.
The lifestyle of a rockstar never brings out space and time for something profound and real which is why Jungkook let go of his engraved dreams of being with the one, settle down and start a life together.
The first person he wanted this with was you. He met you back in high school, when you were stuck next to each other during P.E. You were the first to make him laugh and comfortable with himself, even though he struggled with his introverted self and social gatherings in general. P.E used to be a nightmare but you made it so easy.
Jungkook fell harder than he ever did. He even sketched out your names in his diary at home, next to his lyrics before deciding that he wanted to go through with music.
Then, one day, Jungkook found out you felt the same way and that led to endless dates and kisses at night. You saw Jungkook for the real him, and loved him for that.
But things weren’t so easy after graduation. Jungkook started to pull away, leaving you confused and wondering if what you guys shared was even love to begin with.
He’s hurt you, more than once. Yet each time you’ve forgiven him despite him not deserving it. So it turned into an on and off thing, rather than anything healthy.
Then, Jungkook gained his first gig and slowly you vanished from his life with each passing day.
Although, after seeing you in the crowd Jungkook felt hopeful. A part of him wants to believe it’s actually you but it’s hard to know after the concert has ended.
As Yoongi and the rest of the band pack up and leave, Jungkook walks out to the parking lot to reach his bike. The audience left a while ago, meaning it was safe for him.
When Jungkook reaches his bike, he hears an overpitched laugh and turns in curiosity. You’re standing next to someone who’s wearing a full leather outfit. She’s holding onto a cigarette, taking small puffs as she talks in excitement.
Jungkook stands still, shocked that you’re actually here. It’s you.
Somehow his gaze manages to catch your friend's attention, her poking your shoulder to turn around and when you do your mouth drops. Jungkook’s heart sinks because of the reaction.
“Jeon Jungkook?!” You shout, your friend walking up to him while dragging you with her. It results in both of them standing in front of Jungkook. He ends up laughing in panic, not knowing what to say.
“It’s me.”
“Wow, I can’t believe it.”
Jungkook catches your gaze studying him, raising an eyebrow that makes him confused.
“Something on my face?”
“No. You look good.”
The compliment causes Jungkook’s breath to hitch. He studies your outfit, one he’s surprised about because you dress differently now. You’ve changed. In a good way, though.
“You too.” He grins, biting his lip when he catches your friend glancing between the two of you.
“Well, my ride's here. I guess you just found your own.”
Jungkook catches you flustered when your friend doesn’t try to hide the obvious wingmanning she’s trying to accomplish by leaving you both alone. Jungkook can’t help but be grateful.
“Shut up.” You mumble under your breath when she hugs you goodbye, and in under mere seconds you’re both standing alone, no one else in sight.
“What have you been up to?” Jungkook is curious, he wants to know everything about you again, as if you never slipped through his fingers due to his choice in terms of career.
You raise an eyebrow. “I’m a teacher.”
“It suits you.” The response is genuine. Jungkook always admired how comfortable you were around people who needed help, and the glow that shone through your face when they thanked you.
“Thank you.”
The air between you is thick, a lot of unspoken words roaming along with unanswered questions. Despite the deep filled crack between you both, it doesn’t seem to affect either of you at this current moment.
“So, about that ride?” You ask, curious eyes when you admire the bike behind Jungkook.
“You sure?”
“Yeah, give me a helmet.”
Jungkook does, grabbing the extra helmet and you put it on as if you've done this a million times. Jungkook wants to ask, but stops himself.
“Where to?” Jungkook jumps onto the bike, while you settle behind, wrapping a loose arm around his waist.
“Your place?”
Jungkook hadn’t expected you to be this straightforward. Maybe you’ve been just like him, hopeful to start this again, to sew the open cut back in place.
“Hold on tight.”
You do as told, grasping both arms around Jungkook’s waist and leaning your head on his shoulder while Jungkook turns on the bike.
Before you both know it, the wind is guiding you back to Jungkook’s place as you ride the big broad streets of Seoul. The nightlife is beautiful, alive, as every light follows you.
Jungkook grabs your hand at a red light, looking behind and watching your eyes glow.
Everything feels too good to be true, but Jungkook feels as if he’s floating on a pink sky with you so close to him, making every doubt vanish in the drain.
The motor roars as the motorcycle is back in action and Jungkook grips the handles, having way too much fun riding with you as you clutch yourself close.
This feels like fate.
The grip never loosens, even after Jungkook has parked his bike in the parking lot, now grasping your hand as you walk towards the elevator.
“I missed you.” Jungkook admits as he pushes onto the button.
You don’t say anything, only smile and push yourself forward to peck his lips. Jungkook is surprised by the sudden touch, yet melts under it, already forgetting how you haven’t responded to his confession.
Before the kiss can turn heated, the elevator dings, doors opening in an instant and you both pull away. Jungkook doesn’t hesitate to grab your hand and lead you to his apartment, not thinking much of what’s happening, instead letting him hang on the hopeful thread that this is the start of everything he’s longed for.
The minute the door slams shut, you’re back on Jungkook, kissing him with hunger and neediness and Jungkook’s head spins whenever your tongues slightly brush.
He doesn’t hesitate to pull you further inside the apartment, crashing you both down on his bed. Your touch lands on his jacket, pulling it off as much as you can as your kisses continue to linger.
Jungkook removes himself, rushing to take off his jacket and shirt all at once, while watching you hurriedly take off your shirt and bra.
The skin on skin contact burns, the room growing hotter with each grind between your bodies. Nothing is said out loud, but Jungkook wants to say so much.
He wants to tell you how much he still loves you, how he never stopped even though he let you go and treated you unfairly. But he doesn’t. Instead Jungkook settles on showing you through actions.
He kisses every inch of your body, your back arching by the sensual touch from his tongue dancing in patterns. You pull him desperately by the belt.
“Fuck me. Please.”
And Jungkook doesn’t hesitate to do so, letting you remove his belt in a hurry as the sounds roam in the big bedroom.
Once his pants fall down to his ankles, you don’t hesitate to grab onto his cock that’s already hard. Jungkook moans by the touch of your delicate hands wrapping carefully yet tugging and squeezing so perfectly. Jungkook floats in arousal.
He returns the favor, trailing his hand beneath your underwear and cupping your sex, fingers tracing and feeling every inch of you.
“You’re so wet.” Jungkook bites his bottom lip, admiring the sight of you falling apart beneath him by the gentle touch.
“Come on, fuck me.” You don’t hesitate to say again, pushing his lower back so his cock nestles in between your legs, closer to your core.
“Okay, hold on.” Jungkook stretches an arm to his night table, feeling your lips kiss his exposed neck while he stumbles to find a condom that hasn’t expired.
Luckily, he manages to find out despite the bedroom being close to full blown darkness.
While Jungkook puts on the condom, you remove the rest of your clothing, spreading your legs again and hooking them around his waist.
After great success, Jungkook braces himself on top of you, tracing his fingers on your face, wanting to savor each moment of having you like this again. Then, he pushes in slowly, watching your face contort completely. You’re beautiful like this, mouth agape, eyes closed.
Everything around you stops. Jungkook forgets about every surrounding, too infatuated by the sight of his cock entering and disappearing inside of you while you moan softly beneath him.
All is forgotten, the pain that’s tangled between you, Jungkook picking his career over you. He knows this is his last chance, in having you in his arms. He’s not letting you go afterwards. He wants to fight for you.
You both reach your high, swallowing down the high pitch sounds with feverish kisses. Jungkook keeps himself wrapped around you as you catch your breaths. He missed your smell, your hair, your soft skin and the moles he’s kissed every time.
“I love you.”
Jungkook lets it slip, watching you smile as you kiss him again.
“We should sleep.”
Jungkook feels his heart break when the three words stay buried in your mouth. He knows it’ll take a while for you to heal, and he’s willing to wait. He knows how much he wants this, wants you.
You snuggle closer, head on his chest as he glides his hand over your hair. Soon enough, sleep takes over for him.
Jungkook is too deep in his sleep, not noticing your grasp around him slipping away, a note landing on his bed as you vanish completely from his life.

in addition to student protests you missed, just an hour away from nyc at flagship suny school stony brook university, nine students were arrested for a peaceful sit-in for divestment in an administrative building, weeks before headlines broke about columbia. haven't heard any noise about it since.
afaik charges have not been dropped against the students and they are being disciplined by the university. both adminstration and students have been hateful around the events surrounding the arrests. still disturbed by the reaction of the community.
On Tuesday, March 26, a pro-Palestine demonstration led by organizers of the Stony Brook University’s (SBU) chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine (SB4Palestine) ended with the arrest of nine protesters in Stony Brook University’s Administration Building.
[...] When asked if he was willing to be arrested, one of the demonstrators said yes. “Because I know what I’m doing is not wrong,” he said. “[I am] sitting on the floor of a public building demanding a school to divest from bombing literal children.”
Administrators spoke with the protesters who stayed behind, requesting again that they left. “Children are dying in Gaza,” Zubair, a student member of SB4Palestine who asked to be referred to only by his first name for safety reasons, responded. “I don’t care about an arrest. There are 13,000 dead children. Can you repeat the words back to me? There are 13,000 dead children in Gaza. You said [the arrest] is life-changing. How dare you?”
Administrators present continued to ask protestors to leave the building. They urged the demonstrators to think about their futures and how an arrest record would affect them. Adam French, one of the arrested students, incredulously called their request “crazy … when a genocide is happening in Palestine.”
[...] While waiting for a bus to the UPD station, a freshman student who preferred not to give their name due to fear of retaliation from the university said, “I feel like it’s a complete betrayal of all the values that Stony Brook claims to uphold of being at the forefront of social justice, climate justice, all that. This act of censorship and suppression of voices for Palestine by students is … proof that this university is not standing on that fucking business when they need to.”

And so as not to derail that previous post further, I'm taking my rant to this new post, but shit like that makes me so angry for so many reasons:
It's a hate crime against Jews, many of whom are totally uninvolved in the current situation
Let's say that hypothetically that this organization and every single one of its members was publicly advocating for the destruction of Gaza** or something: vandalizing a synagogue is still a hate crime, because you're not just targeting that community by spewing antisemitism, you are targeting all Jews. Every Jew. Every Jewish institution. Because the thing is that there is never an excuse for antisemitism. If you say that there is, what you're saying is that antisemitism IS okay as long as it's directed at Bad Jews or Jews you don't like. I can't stand Caitlin Jenner, but I'm not gonna call her out of her name or misgender her. Kanye is a walking dumpster fire of a human, but that doesn't mean I get to say racist stuff about him. And yeah - even Jews with the worst, ugliest opinions do not legitimize antisemitism. Come on guys, this is Social Justice 101.
And another thing: Let's assume again the worst about this group - they still don't have any power to actually change or stop what's happening in Israel. They are diaspora Jews who, unless they are randomly dual citizens, cannot vote and do not live there. Even if this antisemitic hate crime somehow inspired a deep reflection about who and how they are as Jews (massively unlikely for reasons that should be obvious), them taking up the torch of anti-Zionism does not have any legal significance. This act, in addition to being a hate crime, is one that is not even strategic in helping to shut down bad actors with actual power, nor is it at all calculated to build community bridges.
In fact, it is almost guaranteed to have the opposite effect: these vandals have not only made enemies of this community, but alienated any other potential Jewish allies.
But even if we set that aside, assuming that they don't care, it's massively counterproductive in that it will likely inspire more diaspora Jews to feel unsafe in that location and consider aliyah as an answer. If anything, these kinds of acts of blind hatred only reinforce the legitimate fear behind much of Zionism. You people just can't help proving again and again that Jews are physically, emotionally, spiritually, and socially unsafe in the diaspora and need somewhere that is guaranteed to take us in when the next Kristallnacht happens.
It's also counterproductive, even if you actually just want Jews to die and don't care where we go; you actively want the destruction of Israel and all of the Jewish people because you're an antisemitic jackass you think it's somehow deserved: Normal people actually don't want that, and so if you're trying to attract other goyim who are decent people to your cause, associating pro-Palestinian activism with hate crimes is one of the worst things you can do in terms of PR and moral high ground.
Using Palestinian lives, deaths, and suffering as a bludgeon ignores them as real people and dehumanizes them and their struggle in the process. Anyone engaging in or excusing this kind of behavior is misusing their cry for justice as a get-out-of-antisemitism-free card, dehumanizing them by turning them into a weapon, and diverting much-needed energy away from things that actually help to doing PR cleanup and having to publicly distance themselves from these disgusting acts.
(**Please note that I am not saying these people were; in fact, I have yet to see a not-reactionary right-wing fringe Jewish group calling for anything but a return of the hostages and praying for peace in the region)

Op had to restrict replies but I wanted to reblog so heres a copy paste of it sans op's name. I will take this down if they ask however.
I have been noodling over posting this for several days but I think it's important for some people to hear.
At a March on Saturday, at a pro Palestine march, my group and I were targeted by by nazis. Not targeted for violence, but targeted for recruitment. They weren't wearing swastikas, they weren't spewing blatant antisemitic hate speech. They seemed like two normal dudes. They marched with us, talked about how awful everything in Palestine was, how we wished world leaders would grow a pair and hold Israel responsible for fucking war crimes, how existing in the world right now was hard. They were empathetic, they were kind, they seemed like genuine good dudes.
Until we passed a synagogue where people were handing our water to marchers. They had signs defending Palestine on their table. But the tone of the conversation changed. These two seemingly normal dudes started talking about how "performative" the gesture felt, that Jewish people should be doing more. That they needed to PROVE it. They started talking about "Zionist" propaganda in the US, about how it was deeply entrenched in capitalism. Things that, on the surface, seemed reasonable but it set off alarm bells in my head.
When I was a kid, I remember getting the speech of "don't repeat anything your uncle or cousin so and so says and don't argue with them. Try to avoid them but if you can't be polite." Because those uncles and cousins said a lot of hateful things about anyone who wasn't like them, but their favorite targets were black people and Jewish people. I would find out as an adult it was because many of those uncles and cousins were in the Klan. When I studied hate symbols for a class in college, I found my self looking at images I'd seen on arms and necks and hands my whole life, because I live in an area of the US where the KKK is still around. And standing in that crowd, listening to these guys talk, i had the most horrible realization I've had in a long time.
We were being fished by Nazis. We were a group of able body, white American leftists. At a march in support of stopping the murder and genocide of Palestinians, these motherfuckers were out here, trying to find people they could get to hate Jewish folks. I wasn't the only one in my group who clocked it, and when we called them on it, the masks came off. They called us a bunch of "Jew loving bitches" before they moved on.
But we're marched with these guys for a couple hours, talked with them, laughed with them, brought them into our circle. For a moment we forgot we also weren't immune to propaganda, we weren't immune to people who make hate sound reasonable and that people like that never start out saying the quiet part out loud, they lean on your anger and your sense of helplessness to move you where they want you. If the last eight years has taught us anything, it's that fascists know how to adjust to the times, to work with what they got, to recruit. They know how to radicalize people, how to weaponize anger and helplessness. And I'm sitting here, every day, seeing posts that sound exactly like these guys did and it worries me.
I know I'm talking to the No Reading Comprehension Website, but I'm begging you guys to develop some now.
You are not immune to propaganda. We are all angry, as we fucking should be. We are watching an entire culture, thousands of lives, whole bloodlines, being wiped out in real time, and for many of us our nations are at best, wringing their hands, and at worst, shipping them weapons, all to protect capitalist greed. It's monstrous, it's disgusting. But look, REALLY LOOK, at the things you are tweeting, sharing, look at the language and how it's used. Take the time to educate yourself about how hate groups use social justice causes and civil unrest to recruit, research the posts your spreading, check your sources. If you are out protesting, be situationally aware, and do not be afraid to clock and call out Nazis. Listen to Jewish people, listen to their concerns, educate yourself on what Zionism and antisemitism actually are and how they can be weaponized. It doesn't feel as good as rage, it doesn't feel as good as having a group you can functionally rail against in a way we can't against a nation a world away, but it's a skill that's going to help you and a lot of other people in the long run.

hiii i know you're just a person and not a library but if you happen to have them on hand, i'd greatly thank you for some resources on how social justice topics first entered fandom pre-tumblr-2010s, especially in the 90s or earlier is the period i'm interested in, if fans were very eager on being "politically correct" and went out of their way to find related academic texts or if they sort of had to be "kicked in the butt" to do research by people who were already involved in social justice irl, and also if there was pushback against social justice entering fandom & what the arguments were (i know the japanese had the yaoi ronso, i wonder if there is some clearly traceable event like that for the western fandom, or just some insight into the decades-long process it was and how the arguments have changed overtime, eg. yesterday i stumbled across a forum discussion about how a certain character using misogynistic language is "just how working class people talk", & it's so interesting bc that's a kind of argument which seems to have fallen out of circulation completely, so that got me wondering on what other shifts there could have been👀)
--
I mean... "fans" is pretty broad. But if you want to know about m/m fans in Western fandom, that's a lot more answerable.
Ye olde slash fandom did have plenty of discussion around queerness. There's a certain style that's much more common in older fic where one of them is really struggling with homophobia and doesn't like the idea of being into men and so does something or other awful to create drama in the fic, and even then, some fans would be like "Then he's an undatable jerk!"
The further back you go in that kind of fandom, the more everyone is a mega-nerd and quite possibly an academic. There are certainly things that are openly talked about today that people were clueless about then (trans issues, for example), but you have to do a lot more kicking now to get someone to read an academic article on average.
I really cannot express how much more default-intellectual this hobby was in the 90s and before.
Here's an example of the sort of thing people were coming up with:
Here's a bunch of early 00s meta:
Here's a fanlore article with a smattering of the many long discussions about Why Slash:
Here's a starting point on some rapey stuff in Pros fandom that people had meta thoughts about:
And a common practice of writing fic to debunk/respond to other people's fic that used to be so overt there was a term for it:
You could also just go through the history of Escapade, the oldest slash con that's still running in 2023, and see what the panel topics were:
--
I'm not sure "social justice" is quite the way to look at this. If you're curious about m/m shippers and misogynist language or treatment of internalized homophobia in fic, that will be covered quite well by things like the above. Plenty of individual fanfic people were involved in AIDS activism because that was everywhere back then. But race stuff? Other kinds of social justice? I don't remember those coming up much.
And of course fans were not eager to be "politically correct". Being involved in slash fandom in the 80s was seen as being a pervert and a purveyor of underground pornography. These were rebels, not pearl-clutching line-toers.
They might have been eager to be pro-gay, but they sure as fuck didn't express it in those namby-pamby terms.

What's a Little Creepy About the FBI's Arrest Warrant for a Blaze News Reporter
We have another instance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation going off the reservation. A Blaze News reporter who has done a couple of stories on the January 6 riot, which embarrassed the Justice Department, will be forced to turn himself in on Friday. Steve Baker has cooperated with the Justice Department, which has had Baker on their radar for months.
The creepy part about this story is that this reporter doesn’t know what charges he’s facing. The FBI has instructed him to wear clothing that suggests he’ll be forced to wear an orange jumpsuit. However, the Justice Department told Baker and his legal team that misdemeanors were the only charges facing the journalist. The outlet had all the details about the legal drama in a lengthy post, including the stories that might have painted a target on Baker’s back
youtube
"They didn’t have to go this route," Baker told Blaze News on Tuesday evening. "We have been told that my charges are only misdemeanors. And my attorneys have been assured that this will be an ‘in and out’ affair with 'no intention' to detain me. But rather than issuing a simple order to appear, they went the 'arrest warrant' route."  What's more, Baker said he still does not know what the charges against him are, noting to Blaze News that the powers that be won't tell his attorney about the charges because they believe Baker will post them on social media.  Baker's Dallas attorney, James Lee Bright, added to Blaze News that withholding the nature of the charges against his client is a "really unusual" move. Bright also said he's hoping to get a copy of the complaint against Baker as early as possible Friday morning.  […]  Bright told Blaze News that he's "disturbed" about what's transpiring with his client, especially given that Baker has been "in full compliance" all this time. Bright also said the federal government "three-plus years later going after people who were legitimate functioning journalists that day" appears designed to have an "absolute chilling effect."  […]  Baker added that when he asked his other attorney, William Shipley, why the federal government is treating him like this, Shipley replied, "You know why. You've been poking them in the eye for three years"
Baker's first Jan. 6 analysis for Blaze News came last October, following countless hours in a House subcommittee office looking at frame after frame of Jan. 6 closed-circuit video — and it had him wondering: did Capitol Police Special Agent David Lazarus perjure himself in the Oath Keepers trial?
Soon after, the slow pace of getting an unrestricted look at everything recorded on video prompted Blaze Media editor in chief Matthew Peterson's appeal to House Speaker Mike Johnson to release all the videos. On Nov. 17, Johnson did just that.
Baker's investigative efforts also resulted in two additional analyses, both focusing on Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn: "January 6 and the N-word that wasn't" and "Harry Dunn's account of January 6 does not add up. At all."
In December, Baker alleged he uncovered major irregularities involving Dunn, Capitol Police, the press, and U.S. Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Maryland).
In January, Baker asserted that just-released U.S. Capitol closed-circuit TV video clips from Jan. 6 show Lazarus gave false testimony in the Oath Keepers trial.
Like Michael Shellenberger, Matt Taibbi, and Alex Gutentag, Baker also touched upon the curious case of the January 6 pipe bomber and the alleged targeting of the Republican National Committee, wherein new evidence suggests that the RNC was not the target. The FBI might have misrepresented the location of the supposed explosive device, which a then-FBI contractor discovered.
The FBI has harassed and targeted pro-life activists, so going after reporters who have questioned their narratives about some highly politicized stories isn’t shocking. The Obama CIA and DOJ colluded to manufacture a fake narrative about Russian collusion against Donald Trump. The FBI made up evidence to justify an illegal FISA spy warrant against Trump campaign officials. The FBI and the Secret Service appear to be engaged in a cover-up regarding the ever-elusive pipe bomber who cannot be found. They can find hundreds who entered the Capitol building that day, but not this guy.

A few reminders based on things I’ve seen online and things I’ve had said to my face and in my DMs the past couple of weeks:
Telling Jews we’re disrespectful for observing Hanukkah this year is antisemitism. Our religious and cultural practices have nothing to do with Israeli politics or military actions. Unless you’re also telling Christians not to celebrate Christmas, you’re being antisemitic.
Calling Jews Zionists/colonizers/pro-Israel/anti-Palestinian when you do not know our politics is antisemitism. Not all Jews are Israeli and not all Jews support Israel’s actions.
Accusing all Israeli Jews of being fascists/terrorists/etc. is antisemitism. Not all Israelis voted for the current government. Many are fighting for Palestinian rights. Assuming otherwise is the equivalent of calling all USAmericans Trump supporters simply because he won an election.
Claiming that Israeli civilians who were killed or taken hostage “deserved it” is antisemitism. Mistreatment of civilians, hostages, and POWs is as much a war crime when it’s perpetrated against Israelis as it is when the Israeli military does it.
Telling Jews we’re not in danger or that we have no right to be afraid in the world today is antisemitism. Hate crimes against Jews have risen remarkably since October, in countries all over the world.
Telling Jews we have white privilege and shouldn’t complain is antisemitism. White and white-passing Jews are still in danger, and you are erasing Jews of color when you make blanket statements like this.
Comparing Israel to Nazi Germany as some sort of gotcha is antisemitism. You have purposely chosen that comparison over any others because you know it will hurt Jews. We do not deserve to have our traumas dragged out and flayed open in order for you to make your point.
It is possible and necessary to support Palestine without resorting to antisemitism. When you draw false equivalencies, when you gaslight Jews, when you drive us from social justice spaces, you are silencing the voices of Jews who want to support Palestine, and you are hurting innocent people.
I hope people will take this to heart. I hope people will think carefully before they open their mouths or post or hit reblog. I hope they will ask themselves, “Is this support of Palestine coming at the expense of the Jewish people?” And if the answer is yes, I hope they will think twice about amplifying it.

================================================
When All Might was finished with Shade he left her there shaking and drained. His superior strength meant she didn't stand a chance against his advances, he would always take what he wanted. Her tears and pleas fell on deaf ears when he finally found his release.
He adjusted his clothes and started his daily routine, as if the night prior he hadn't kidnapped an innocent woman and had his way with her. Business as usual.
Part of this routine was keeping up to date with the world outside, ensuring that his daily activities weren't found out and that he could continue to hide in the shadows.
Unfortunately the media was biting him in the ass.
News of Shade's disappearance had begun to spread like wildfire. Apparently the fool had made several social media posts about her involvement with All Might, as well as that nosy pro who had invited her over wondered what happened to her.
He had been a fool.
So far what the police had told the public is that she had been seen leaving her apartment, there were no signs of a struggle and yet she was gone. Probably taken from a back alley. They were searching them now for any clues as to who this mysterious attacker could be.
Hopefully this would all blow over, it always did. He was even more popular than before now, there was no reason his connections would fail him now. No matter what they found, it would never come back to him, right?
His phone rang.
"All Might." His voice was more stern than he would have liked.
"All Might, this is the chief of police, we'd like you to come in for questioning."
Beads of sweat dripped down his neck. "I'm on my way."
===============================================
Shade felt numb all over, but her insides were burning with pain. Images of the man she looked up to most in life violating her over and over. Her body was filled with his cum, leaking out and making her feel disgusted.
With broken bones and the fear of the fastest hero alive in the next room all she could do was stay still. Hopefully he would come to reason and let her go, if he promised to stay far away from her for the rest of her life she probably wouldn't even press charges. She could live with him roaming free if it meant she'd be safe. But the chances of that she knew were slim.
However in the next room as she waited for his inevitable return Shade could hear the television going. A spark of hope shot through her, they were looking for her. People wanted her to be found and already knew she was missing. If All Might had been careless and left any evidence at the scene where he took her, maybe this whole ordeal would be over sooner than she thought.
She could go home.
Just then the door opens and the man of the hour enters, his face dark and grim. She tries to hide it but the faintest of grins comes to her face, he should be sweating bullets right now, knowing all of this would be brought to justice.
"I'm going out. I'll be back shortly. Don't try anything and I'll see about letting you up to clean yourself."
"Okay, I won't- I'll wait right here- but uhm, where are you going can I ask?"
He doesn't look at her as he responds, resolve and determination etched into his features.
"The Symbol of Peace is needed."
