Me: wow I love this character, I can relate to them so much! They always feel like a fuck up and they always make impulsive desicions but are also a little bit too hard on themselves. They also have an interest that is basically life to them....
Me:.....
Me: They have ADHD don't they?

hey @jews just so you know your houses are most vulnerable to vampires during the seder so make sure you put extra protection (or...make your house more inviting if that's what you want) during the next couple nights

So, what did we learn?
Majority of jews believe calling for the destruction of the only Jewish state in our ancestral homeland is antisemitic
Antisemitic goyim will come in to drown out jewish voices
Majority of goyim realize that it's antisemitic to call for the destruction of Israel (it would be nice if there was more actual pushback against the mob from them)
Listen to jews

I think this is propogated by the polarised society of the time where you have to be all for or all against something and we have, as a collective, lost the ability to seperate a policy from a party.
Oh you are pro negative gearing, then you must be also y. Or oh you are pro trying to reach net zero, that must mean that you are x.
We are unable to recognise that politics doesn't have to encroach on our critical thinking, and that just because someone says a doesn't mean that they agree with everything else people who agree with a say.
We are unable to seperate our politics from our humanity, and we need to bring that critical thinking skills back.
few terms have come to piss me off more than "traumadumping" does like having a sincere conversation with someone about personal issues in your life is not "traumadumping" shut the fuck up

The tragedy of today is that we have become so polarised we have lost almost all human empathy.
It's no longer, what can I do to help you, or my condolences that this horrible experience happened to you, instead it's about how the experience of us being told this uncomfortable reality makes us feel.
And what's worse is that when someone does "traumadump" it's always well somebody else could have it worse, and that means logically only one person at a time in the world is allowed to have danger at their situation or empathy directed towards them
few terms have come to piss me off more than "traumadumping" does like having a sincere conversation with someone about personal issues in your life is not "traumadumping" shut the fuck up

The thing about the r slur is that people who are using it again are indeed using it as a slur. This isn't a word that is being reclaimed. This is a word that is once again being used 100% as a slur. You're being a bigot if you're using it against others. Straight up. There isn't another argument to be made. Knock it tf off.

For some reason I鈥檓 still seeing people being racist about the Disney+ PJO show, so if you鈥檙e out there hating on Leah for being a black Annabeth, here鈥檚 what you need to realize:
A big part of Annabeth鈥檚 character is how she felt she was never taken seriously because of the way she looked. In the books, it was specifically because she was blonde, and blondes were seen as dumb.
Well, that stereotype is much less common today, and most blondes aren鈥檛 really looked down upon. But you know who is? People of color. Especially young black girls. Leah鈥檚 Annabeth will still have to deal with prejudice because of how she looks.
Annabeth鈥檚 key trait wasn鈥檛 her hair color, it was how she proved to be the best despite how others judged her. It just so happens that her skin color is now what causes her to be judged.
I think Leah is perfect to play Annabeth in today鈥檚 world. Just how young blonde girls used to be empowered by book Annabeth, I know Leah鈥檚 Annabeth will teach young black girls that they can be everything she is.
