Okay, I've been nerd sniped, I'm sorry

NOTE: If you're going to reblog just to say "not reading that" or some other rude shit, DON'T. I've seen so many notifications of people just saying they couldn't be bothered to read it. I don't know if it's just that they don't see how incredibly rude and disheartening that is or if they know and don't care, but either way it really hurts to see, so please don't reblog if it's just to tell me you won't read it.

So let's go through the canonical likelihood they could each beat Goku. For the sake of keeping canon, we'll keep groups/pairs together if they would never reasonably be apart for something like this. Long post below the cut.

So first up are the ones I see that would, without a doubt, beat Goku.

Saiki K

Saiki is an omnipotent psychic/psionic with quite literally every single possible power out there. Now, this on its own isn't enough to beat Goku. Versatility doesn't mean everything, but Saiki is also powerful enough to rewrite the genetics and reality of everything within range, and his range is, so far, "Earth".

So this, on its own, would allow him to rewrite Goku's biology to make him Human. Bye bye zenkai boosts, bye bye Saiyan transformations. And Saiki, with his powers, has no trouble beating a Human of any caliber if he truly wanted to. And for those who ask "Why would he ever fight Goku?"

One simple reason: Goku would sense his immense power, and be excited for a fight. Goku is respectful enough to not force one if he's refused, but he's persistent enough to badger Saiki until he's given a chance. And Saiki, being Saiki, would simply take off one of his limiters, or both, and rewrite reality as such: "Being an alien isn't possible", thereby making it effective immediately that Goku must be lying/insane, and he is, in fact, Human. Easy win for Saiki.

And for those who would argue against this, bear in mind, the funniest way to beat Goku in this instance would be to simply make him weaker than Saiki, and Saiki is a gag character from a gag series, and it's already been shown in the world of Dragon Ball, and again in Dragon Ball Super, that Goku is incapable of defeating a gag character regardless of that characters canonical ability.

Saiki could win without gag character status, but even in the instance of Goku "beating" him, the gag would turn out to be that Saiki only pretended to get beaten, and is actually entirely unharmed because it was the easiest way to get Goku to leave him alone. Followed by a reveal that Goku will still show up now and then to ask for sparring matches, to drive the point home.

Popeye

Gag character. Would get beaten handily, crawl his way to spinach, and then be exactly as strong as he needs to be to take Goku down in however many hits is funniest.

Bugs Bunny

The gag character to end all gag characters. Someone on this hellsite once described Bugs as a "Trickster God who traps us in our own societal expectations" or some such. Like convincing Thanos to remove the Infinity Gauntlet by establishing a security checkpoint with a metal detector and shaming him into cooperating by telling him there's others waiting.

He could beat Goku in a billion ways, and each and every one of them would involve some shenanigan like Goku throwing a spirit bomb, Bugs showing up behind him holding it, saying "Ehhh, can you hold this for a second?" and as soon as Goku takes it and Bugs is off-screen, it would explode and Goku would be a pile of ashes with blinking eyes. Bugs would win because Bugs' gag is that...well, he simply can't be beaten.

The Warner Trio

Gag trio. Yakko, Wakko, and Dot would snark, sass, and sarcastic-joke their way into the scene, and they would spend the entire time poking fun at him, roasting his look, being unfazed by his attacks because "Nice laser show but we didn't bring our glowsticks." and just being too unbothered to care.

They would undoubtedly annoy Goku into admitting defeat simply to get away from them.

Road Runner

Gag character. Would force Goku to chase him, Goku would fire some blasts, chase him around, and inevitably be led right into the path of a blast he fired earlier to be disintegrated by it.

Pop Team Epic

I know nothing about this series except that it is a gag series. They are gag characters. That means Goku is inherently incapable of beating them.

ASDF Guy

Gag character. Could beat Goku with a simple "Hello, Mine-Turtle!" or "I like Trains."

Heart Diagram

Goku was literally killed by a heart virus in Future Trunks' timeline. This is one that has actually canonically already killed Goku.

Chowder

Gag character. Would likely be after S-Cells for some recipe and need to take Goku's as he's "The only Saiyan in this episode!" or some such, thereby ending the fight with a shot of Chowder wearing Goku's Gi for comedic effect while Dahl stirs raw Super Saiyan aura in a pot to hint that Chowder killed Goku for his S-Cells.

Force Ghost Trio

Gag versions of serious characters, and also ghosts. Goku is canonically unable to beat ghosts or gag characters, and these guys are both.

Those are the ones that would, without a doubt, beat Goku.

Now, let's go over the ones that could, potentially, be it likely or unlikely.

Kirby

Kirby is often considered a gag character, but he isn't. He has a very specific level of power, even if that level of power is "fuck you" levels of power. Kirby has beaten Gods, but so has Goku, even more often and with greater ease. However, Kirby has absorption and power-theft. Kirby could, potentially, absorb Goku (he isn't the brightest and Kirby has his unassuming appearance on his side) and take on his strongest form, including its powerup, and given Kirby in base form is likely more powerful than Goku in base form (Goku needed SSJ to scare Supreme Kai, Kirby beats Gods in base), it's possible Kirby would be more powerful than Goku with the same power up.

Kevin McCallister

Okay, hear me out.

Kevin is technically a gag character, BUT. He is not TRULY a gag character. He just happens to be a comedy character.

So he isn't guaranteed to win, but he could still possibly do so. How you ask?

Goku has been somewhat injured or lightly shaken by the following: planet-shattering attacks. Punches that rock the universe. Energy blasts so potent they would destroy entire galaxies.

Goku has been rendered inconsolable from the pain of the following: chest pain and a half-heartedly, boredly tossed pebble.

It is canon that when Goku and the other fighters in the series are expecting an attack or primed for battle, they are protected by their ki, like armor. It's how they're able to knock away attacks that would destroy planets, or put their "bare" hands on plasma energy that would normally burn the skin off you from a mile away let alone touching it.

This is why when Krillin threw the rock at Goku, it left him in agony and bruised him despite Goku being in Super Saiyan form at the time. This is why Chi-Chi is able to injure Goku regardless of how strong he gets.

So, how does this relate to Kevin being able to beat him? It's everything. It's critical information.

Kevin McCallister's entire M.O. is unexpected attacks. You open a door, you see a bucket fall, think it's over, turns out no, second bucket pulled by the first, second bucket is full of paint and open, you're blinded, you get your bearings, you take a step and feel cars, you smirk and step over them only to find marbles, you slip, you land on the cars which turn out to have been rigged to break easier to let loose a single thumbtack which is now firmly stuck in your back or butt. You bolt upright only to slam your head on a 2x4 that was rigged to hang down from a rope when you fell because your impact shook things enough to make it fall from a precarious perch above.

You get the idea. Every time you think it's safe to let your guard down, that's when the next wave hits. So you say "well he would stop letting his guard down" right? You fool. You know nothing of Goku. He would never put his guard UP. This is a human child, Goku can sense his pitiful power level. His strength? His speed? His ki? Weak. Pathetic. Nothing. A scouter wouldn't even register his power it's so low.

Goku never raises his guard to Chi-Chi, or to Bulma, or to Hercule. He does not raise his defense against normal, powerless, non-combative humans.

"BUT KEVIN IS COMBATIVE" No. He isn't. Goku can sense intent, power, and location. But Kevin isn't actively intending to hurt Goku. He's intending to protect himself and his home. He's not actively wanting to hurt Goku, he's just wanting Goku to leave. He doesn't have power to threaten Goku with, so Goku won't pick up on any threatening aura. And while Goku could simply instant transmission to Kevin and do what he will, we're not talking about how Goku could win, we're going over the fact Kevin could POSSIBLY win.

Enough injury and Goku is down for the count. Otherwise, Goku leaves to avoid further injury, and thereby admits defeat. Both cases, Kevin wins.

Shedinja

This one took me...quite a while. I had to do a lot of extra research for this. So, my immediate thought was Shedinja is a Ghost type, so ghost rules, right? Nah. Bug and Ghost type, and they are the physical shell left behind that has been reanimated. So they very much are physical beings, and given their ability to faint in the games and show they are capable of being physically damaged.

But There's a real case to be made for Shedinja beating Goku.

It can learn Ghost type moves, which operate on ghost-logic, and therefore are a canon weakness Goku is known to have. So things like Shadow Ball, Hex, Curse, and the like would all effect Goku regardless of Ki or form.

It also has access to Wonder Guard, which renders it "immune to all damage types that are not Super-Effective". For those unaware, we can actually attribute Typings to Goku's moves based on attributes and traits they share with Pokemon moves. His melee is, by nature, Fighting type, which Shedinja is immune to. In fact, Shedinja is immune to ALL attack types except Flying, Rock, Ghost, Dark, and Fire type moves, which are all Super Effective.

Goku's most common methods would actually fall under Fighting and Normal type attacks. "But his Ki blasts-" would be Normal type moves. You want proof?

Focus Energy is Normal Type. Quick Attack is Normal Type. Self Destruct is Normal Type. Techno Blast is Normal Type. Tera Blast is Normal Type. These are all energy based moves similar to ki blasts. Know what other energy based move is Normal Type? Hyperbeam. Which is almost identical to the Kamehameha and every other beam attack in DBZ.

Those few attacks Goku has that aren't going to be Normal Type will be Fighting Type.

Shedinja is Immune to all Normal and Fighting Type moves. Goku literally can not damage Shedinja, but Shedinja can damage Goku through Ghost Type moves. Shedinja can beat Goku. But why is it not "absolutely will" beat him? Because Goku can also transform his Ki and if he finds out Shedinja is vulnerable to fire, he can and will use that to his advantage.

That's who could potentially beat Goku. Here's who absolutely could not.

Saitama

I forgot to go over Saitama originally so here's the edit that features that analysis. Bear in mind I am saying this as someone who has seen Seasons 1 and 2 of the show AND is aware of some of the events of the manga.

A lot of reblogs over Saitama claim he is a gag character. But there is a case to be made that he is NOT. What is that case you ask? Well, for the sake of fairness, here is how I am handling gag characters: if their gag is in effect in 100% of all cases (such as looney tunes like Bugs or Road Runner) or if the gag is triggered in 100% of all cases (such as Saiki K or Chowder) then they are a True Gag Character and will insta-win.

However, if their gag has failed (such as Wario, or, yes, even Saitama) in ANY case, then it CAN fail again, and the fairest fight is one against two non-gag characters, so we can safely apply non-gag Saitama here since his gag has failed and Goku meets the conditions to cause it to fail again, which I'll explain.

So, first off, how does his gag fail? Well, his gag is that he kills everything instantly in one hit, unless he actively chooses not to. So we can safely say his gag fails if any of the following are true: he fails to instantly kill an enemy with a single hit while intending to do so, OR if he fails to kill an enemy with a serious hit intended to kill.

He meets both of these conditions. Boros survived for several seconds AFTER Saitama hit him with a Serious Punch. It was a single hit that intended to kill...But he didn't kill Boros INSTANTLY with it. Another example of his gag failing, if that doesn't satisfy, is Garou. Garou, in the manga, has survived MULTIPLE Serious Punches with intent to kill. This, on its own, is proof Saitama's Serious Punch does in fact have a limit to its output. It also proves his gag can, and does, fail against certain opponents.

So the next thing we need to look at is similarities between Garou and Boros to identify what they share that could possibly allow them to get around Saitama's gag, or to nullify it entirely. First similarity is that both are determined to have a good, satisfying fight. Boros crossed the stars seeking one, and Garou sought to become a true Monster powerful enough to force every hero, every do-gooder, to unite under one banner just to take him down. They both seek a battle to end all battles, even if Garou's intention is to end it in his favor, not simply enjoy the fight.

The second similarity is that they have incredibly unique circumstances, even by OPM standards. Garou is a man who has always felt love for the bad guy, he looks to the monsters as inspirations, as the misunderstood and the victimized by those claiming to be heroes. He's trained by an S-Class hero, and has developed into a being of unimaginable power in the pursuit of his dream. Very much a true foil to Saitama, who looked to heroes in comics as inspirations, as the righteous and unshakably moral, self-taught through and through and developed into a being of unimaginable power in the pursuit of HIS dream. Garou is, in this way, a reflection of Saitama, the Tails to Saitama's Heads, the dark to his light.

Boros on the other hand is an alien, forced to become strong by his homeworld's unforgiving conditions, developing a level of power necessary to survive and then some, and on realizing he was far too powerful for his own good, he sought purpose, meaning, and when he heard he may find a worthy opponent, he did everything he could to achieve that future, to realize his dream of facing a foe that would give him a true challenge.

So what are the similarities we can identify? Notably unique circumstances even by OPM standards, sharing strong similarities to Saitama's desires or dreams (Garou dreaming of becoming the greatest Monster vs Saitama dreaming of becoming the greatest Hero, Boros feeling lost in life and seeking a worthy foe vs Saitama feeling bored with living and wishing for the sensation of a real fight again), and the desire for a serious and ultimate battle.

Goku fits ALL of these conditions. He is an alien sent to Earth for his protection, grew up in hostile conditions (surviving on his own for most of his childhood, constant battles with Nation-level threats throughout his teen years, constant battles with world or universe-level threats throughout his adulthood), trained extensively until he was the best of the best, has the ultimate dream of a truly satisfying battle (a dream he routinely seeks out by facing down powerful foes), and being entirely bored with mundane life because there's absolutely no challenge to it, not to mention the fact he has the ultimate dream of becoming the strongest, something he shares with Saitama's pre-OPM self.

Since Goku fits ALL the conditions needed to make this battle exempt from the gag, we will NOT be considering it, as Saitama is not a True Gag Character, and Goku fitting conditions for nullifying it means we can assume actual power limits and such.

So let's look at feats of power. Saitama's Serious Side Hop technique allowed him to create AT LEAST 60 after-images (based on the manga panel) which, when compared with Sonic's 4, means Saitama was moving 15x faster than Sonic in that moment (bare minimum). An afterimage like that is created by moving at least 572mph, stopping in each position for at least 1/255th of a second (any less and the human eye can't pick up on it), so by moving from position A to B for 1/255th of a second and back to A, going 572mph between the two, you create the afterimage.

Sonic creates 4 simultaneously, meaning he needs to move to 3 positions and then back to starting position, or go from A to B, B to A, A to C, C to A, A to D, and repeat.

This means Sonic, to move into each of these positions in less than 1/255th of a second, would need to be moving ~4x faster than the speed for one afterimage. That puts him as moving at 2,228mph while creating those 4 afterimages. Given he is capable of Mach 5 speeds (he's said to be hypersonic) this feat is easy for him, as Mach 5 is 3,805mph. I assume, just as it's easier to move at top speed in a straight line than at sharp turns for a normal person, it's likely more difficult to create such consistent afterimages and so the difficulty that makes it his best attack is from the technique and reaction involved, not the speed itself.

In any case, if Saitama made at least 60 afterimages, putting him at 15x faster than Sonic's speed while creating 4, that puts Saitama's speed at 33,420mph just to account for the 60 we can count in the manga panel. This means 33,420 is the MINIMUM speed we can assume for Saitama's max ability. To be generous, given he wasn't winded after doing that and given he was able to react incredibly easily to the near-instant directional changes, I'll be kind and put his maximum speed at 10,000x this number.

That puts Saitama's speed at 334,200,000mph, or 49.8% the speed of light. We'll be kind again and say 50% the speed of light, round up that last .2%

So we have a speed value for Saitama. Now what about Goku? Well, let's look at Goku on Namek, for a moment. Base form Goku, at the start of his fight against Freeza. Goku, BEFORE his super saiyan transformation, was moving at 3.26 (we'll round down to 3) times the speed of light. How do I get this number? Buckle up, it's involved.

The Namekian ship Bulma, Krillin, and Gohan took to get to Namek made it from Earth to Jupiter in "seconds". That means less than a minute, so we'll say it took them 1 minute just to lowball it and to have a solid starting number. Jupiter, when the two planets are at their closest to each other (assuming shorter distance for slower speed, another lowball), is 365,000,000 miles from Earth. This means the Namekian ship moved 365mil miles in 1 minute.

That puts the Namekian ship at a speed of 21.9 billion miles per hour. They made it to Namek in 30 days of travel. The ship Goku took to Namek made the trip in 5 days. That means Goku's ship is 6 times faster than the Namekian ship. Don't worry, the ship speed DOES matter in this, I promise you.

So Goku's ship moves at 131,400,000,000mph. That's 131 billion, 400 million miles per hour. Or 195x the speed of light.

Why does the ship speed matter so much, you might ask?

Because King Kai could visually keep up with the ship. He was able to track Goku's progress with ease, and could see his ships movements without problems. This means King Kai's eyes and brain are capable of perceiving and processing things that move at 195x the speed of light.

Why does that matter? Because Super Saiyan is canonically a 50x multiplier to ALL base ability. Strength, speed, durability, etc.

And Goku, in Super Saiyan, was moving so fast King Kai stated he could no longer keep up. King Kai, capable of seeing and processing the input of vision on a ship moving 195x the speed of light, could not see or process the input of vision on Super Saiyan Goku.

We'll lowball it, and say Goku only needed to move 1 mph faster than 195x the speed of light for King Kai to lose track of him. So whatever value we get, we'll add 1mph to for Goku's base form speed.

So 195x the speed of light +1mph. 195/50=3.9x the speed of light. That's 2,616,900,000mph, adding in the extra mph makes it 2,616,900,001mph. So Base Form Goku moves at ~3.9x the speed of light, ON NAMEK. Super Saiyan is a 50x multiplier, putting him at ~195x the speed of light. Super Saiyan 2 is a 100x multiplier to Base, so 390x the speed of light. Super Saiyan 3 is a 400x multiplier, so 1,560x the speed of light. Super Saiyan God is a 20,000 multiplier so 78,000x the speed of light. Super Saiyan Blue is a 1 million times multiplier, so 3,900,000x the speed of light. And lastly, Mastered Ultra Instinct is a 300 billion times multipler, so 1.17 trillion times the speed of light.

Why did I bother going through all those multipliers? He wins in Base as of Namek saga lol. Anyway, continuing on to strength now that we've established Base Goku on Namek could move 3.9x faster than the Speed of Light while Saitama could only move at 0.5x the Speed of Light.

Strength. Okay. This one is harder to gauge, but we CAN gauge it. We'll go in terms of level of damage, so human level (would be on-par or less than peak human ability), town level (small towns), city level (large cities), nation level (an entire nation, less than a continent), continent level (one or more nations that span an entire continent), world-surface level (the surface of an Earth-sized planet), Planetary (capable of destroying an entire Earth-sized planet), Solar (capable of destroying a solar system), Galactic (capable of destroying a galaxy), multi-galactic (capable of destroying many galaxies), Universal (capable of destroying an entire universe), Multiversal (capable of destroying multiple universes).

We'll start with Goku this time. Goku's punches are, as of the Battle of Gods arc, strong enough to match Beerus perfectly to nullify the shockwaves of Beerus' attacks. Mind you, the mere shockwave of Beerus' attacks are enough to rip and tear the fabric of the universe itself, as stated by Elder Kai. This puts Goku's punches as being powerful enough to tear the fabric of the universe in when he first obtained Super Saiyan God. Why does this matter for Base Goku? Because Base Goku retained his SSJG power, as stated by Beerus.

So Goku in Base, post-battle of gods, is physically capable of punches that can tear apart the universe from the aftershocks alone. This is important to note because Elder Kai could physically feel the shockwaves from the World of the Kais. This makes Goku Universe-level in strength. This means Goku, post-BoG, in Super Saiyan is 50x stronger than what's needed for Universal, while Goku, as of current manga canon (assuming he didn't actually get any stronger since BoG and is simply more powerful due to new transformations) is capable of a form (Mastered Ultra Instinct) that puts him 300 billion times stronger than minimum Universe level strength.

And Saitama? Where does he fit here? Well, I thought this gap would be bigger honestly? But after researching, it seems the gap isn't all that big. Saitama has, canonically, with a Serious Punch, snuffed out an entire cylinder of stars and presumably every planet, moon, asteroid, and more, at a distance surpassing that of our solar system, and with a diameter surpassing it as well. This puts Saitama's power (if we lowball it MASSIVELY) at Solar. He could, in a single punch, destroy our entire solar system, and he wouldn't even need to be serious to do it. It's worth noting this is coupled with Garou's own Saitama-level Serious Punch, so we can assume this level of power is double Saitama's own.

So how do we determine the specifics? Well, he cleared an area large enough to cover, presumably, half the area of stars destroyed in the path of his and Garou's serious punches.

Through future revelations in the series we learn they didn't "destroy" every star in that path, but likely only several were destroyed, and possibly a galaxy, while the remainder of the void left behind was from the shockwave forcing every other star within range into a new position, creating a void in space that all stars had been moved from, save the few that were in the DIRECT path of their attack.

Another theory is that the Serious Punch^2 simply distorted the photons in the area, resulting in the appearance of a massive void, and this theory is based on the angles in the manga and comments made by other characters that paint Earth as the only thing in real danger from the power of the attack.

To be fair to Saitama, where we would lowball Goku, we'll highball Saitama, and say the Serious Punch^2 outright destroyed every star in the area. That level of power would, naturally, have shockwaves that push nearby stars out of the way AND distort photons in the area, resulting in a massive cone of destruction surrounded by a large cylinder of force.

This puts Saitama at, quite easily, multi-galactic level of strength.

But why did I say this gap isn't as big as I expected? One simple thing. Saitama has canonically punched his way into a different dimension in the manga. That means he's capable of brute-forcing his way out of the bounds of his universe. He is capable of physically destroying the fabric of the universe.

Meaning Saitama's strength is, bare minimum, Universal in close proximity. That puts him, strength-wise, on par with Goku, who through training has become stronger than Super Buu (who was so strong he could shout his way out of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, a dimension separate from our own), meaning Goku is also Universal in close proximity.

So...while I expected Saitama to be ~Planetary, MAYBE he'd be Solar at most...Research indicates he's actually Universal, or near-Universal, meaning the fight may not be too far a gap after all.

Goku may have Saitama beat on speed (given recent manga events in OPM, I'm willing to allow that Saitama is faster than light speed, but Goku having as many forms as he does (Kaioken, which he can combine with other forms and can hit a multiplier of x100 on top of whatever power he currently has, SSJ1-3, SSJG, SSJB, MUI) means even if Saitama matches Base Goku, he's likely not going to stand up to his stronger forms).

But on strength, I'd wager they're close enough for this fight to be one hell of a battle.

What about Durability? After all, all the strength in the world won't save you if you're as easy to kill as a simple bullet to the head, right?

Goku has withstood universe-ripping punches (from Beerus, the God of Destruction, and based on comments in the manga he's one of the stronger Gods of Destruction too), dimension-tearing attacks (from Goku Black, pre-Fusion), energy blasts that even the Gods of Destruction were nervous of (from Jiren during the Tournament of Power), and he survived multiple blasts from Granolah post-wish buff, who was renowned for his sniping power pre-wish, and post-wish was as powerful as he would be if he had spent every single second of the next 147 years training non-stop with the absolute healthiest amount of rest and physical care, making him, presently, as powerful as he would be at the END of that time, with the price paid being that he only had 3 years to live as he lost 1 year of his lifespan for each power boost.

It was also clear that Granolah was the strongest in the universe...at the time of his wish. Goku and Vegeta, who were already on their way, were not as powerful as Granolah even with their transformations. They became stronger during their fight with him, and stronger still during their fight with Gas (who was more powerful than Granolah after Gas transformed and mastered his transformation).

So we can safely assume Goku is Multiversal in Durability, as he himself was able to output Universal damage with each punch, and he was able to survive hits from beings drastically stronger than himself.

What about Saitama? Well, Saitama was able to survive the force of the Serious Punch^2 and he was able to casually bust his way into another dimension. So his Serious Punch, if he wanted it to, could easily destroy the barrier between universes or dimensions.

And given he survived the force of two of them impacting each other, I would put Saitama at, bare minimum, Universe-level durability. But given he was able to survive prolonged battle against Garou, who is a Power Mimic and has shown Saitama-level strength, we can safely assume Saitama is BEYOND Universal-level durability, and so we can put him right there with Goku at Multiversal durability.

So what do we have so far?

Goku has speed equal to, in Base Form, 3.9x lightspeed, and 1.17 trillion times lightspeed in his most powerful form.

Goku has Universal level strength in Base Form, 300 billion times that in his most powerful form.

Goku has Universal durability in Base Form, Multiversal durability in his most powerful form (300 billion times his Base Form's durability).

Saitama has speed equal to, at minimum, 0.5x lightspeed, and at maximum, if we highball it, 2x lightspeed.

Saitama has Universal strength.

Saitama has Universal durability at minimum, and Multiversal durability at maximum.

At this point, I'm convinced the speed difference between Base Goku and Saitama means nothing. Saitama's durability means even with Base Goku moving at his top speed, his impacts won't be enough to beat Saitama. At top speed Base Goku may be putting out Universal damage, but he's not putting out enough to actually BEAT Saitama. Only injure.

Making me rethink my "Goku wins in Base lol" claim earlier, how dare you!

Anyway, at this point, Goku would HAVE to transform to beat Saitama. His ability to sense power and Saitama's evident inability to suppress it (as evidenced by multiple characters sensing his ungodly power even while Saitama is completely relaxed) would mean Goku would know, right away, he needs to transform for the fight.

Saitama's durability means Goku would likely need Super Saiyan 2 or 3, or, more likely, SSJG. Super Saiyan God's multiplier to Granolah-arc Goku, after all of his training with Whis and Vegeta, would most likely be enough to beat Saitama. And given SSJG is enough to "most likely" beat him, then Super Saiyan Blue (aka Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, the form above SSJG) is surely enough, and Mastered Ultra Instinct (a form drastically more powerful than SSJB) is absolutely more than enough to beat Saitama.

And given Goku's mastery over the Kaioken technique, and he's been shown to enter Kaioken x 20 while in Super Saiyan Blue for fair amounts of time as of the Moro saga, meaning even if SSB wasn't enough, given MUI is overkill, it's possible SSB x10 or x20 would be.

The point being, Goku wins this fight due to a combination of technique, experience, and power from his transformations. Given Goku is faster than Saitama and would sense his power as Saitama doesn't know how to suppress it, nothing Saitama could do would be a surprise attack to Goku, meaning Goku would have ample opportunity to react to everything Saitama does.

And given the relatively similar strengths the two bear, Goku would recognize he needs to transform to beat Saitama's output.

And given Saitama's greater durability than Base Goku, and greater durability than even what Saitama himself can put out, Goku would see he needs to transform to have enough of his own output to beat Saitama's durability.

Conclusion: Goku would absolutely win this fight, BUT...I'll give Saitama credit where it's due.

Out of everyone on the entire list, Saitama is the fairest matchup here, and the one most likely to give Goku a truly satisfying fight, given it would be a battle on par with those Goku has enjoyed most.

Kingdom Hearts Mickey

K.H. Mickey has a clear power limit and ability set. He is not strong enough, fast enough, smart enough, or durable enough to beat Goku, but he is just enough of a threat for Goku to actually put his guard up, which is why K.H. Mickey would lose; Goku would see it as a fight, unlike with Kevin.

Crash Bandicoot

Crash isn't nearly powerful enough to be a threat to Goku, but he IS insane enough to push Goku to hostility. Goku would feel the need to put effort into getting him away and that is his downfall.

Hatsune Miku

Goku would assume she is a Red Ribbon android and fight her on assumption she's trying to kill him or bring harm to Earth. He would hit her full force expecting her to tank it and she would keel over dead instantly.

Wario

Everything he could possibly do, the Red Ribbon Army has tried and done better, and they've never beaten Goku. Neither would he.

Sans

Lost to a child with slightly above average human determination, and standard human strength and speed. He does not beat Goku.

Absolutely!

The world of Broken Horizon is a planet (that I've yet to name) which has two major sentient species on it: humans and dragons (or khevirs in their own language). Both species coexisted side by side in relative peace (as much peace as two equally matched apex predators would have).

At some point in their history, Cercerion, a dragon with enough power to become a God, goes haywire and starts creating and becoming storms that span almost the entirety of the planet. These storms are devastating electrical hurricane cells that are charged enough to create their own magnetic fields, the incessant lightning rain is enough to literally rip chunks of earth, even mountains, out of the ground and earth and keep them in the air because of these magnetic fields. This is obviously DEVASTATING to the planet.

Eventually, a joint mutual effort from both humans and dragons is able to take Cer down, striking him down hard enough to bury him deep in the earth to sleep for ages, but the impact is so sudden that he cannot dispel the storms he created and loses control of them, leaving them to eternally roam the planet sowing destruction in their paths. There are six in total. (They are much less dangerous than when he IS in control though and the lightning rain is reduced significantly. But they are still MASSIVE hurricanes)

After this event, humans freak the fuckkkk out and in true human fashion decide that dragons are dangerous and must be exterminated. A massive war breaks out between both species where they try to obliterate each other (this is known as the Great Dragonslaying Era). Both sides develop technology to stay on par with each other (humans develop insane machinery, and dragons develop energy manipulation).

The war rages on for years, but true to their nature they an never truly best each other, and the war ends MANY years later in a shaky stalemate from both sides. This would be the present day.

Since the war has only recently ended, there are very few laws that regulate dragons and their rights in human territories, and viceversa. Using dragons as fighting dogs in gladiator arenas and treating them as animals is 'illegal', but extremely common in human cities. That would be the situation where our Extinction crew find themselves in.

Despite all the animosity towards each other, there are a great many people who want to uphold the peace and want to peacefully coexist and even work together (this is the basis for dragon piloting); but there are also extremists on both sides who still believe the others should be exterminated: humans who consider dragons a threat and a pest and no more than animals, and dragons who are unhappy with being 'tamed' and who clamor for a return to being ruthless deadly beasts.

Honestly, the setting of Extinction itself isnt that much changed! It's mostly been tweaked to be a lot more cohesive with the worldbuilding and the world's history. I have added a bunch more in the aspect of dragonflight and races and planes because I think its cool as hell. The gladiator side of it is only one fraction of the world.

Are you seeing a theme yet. I like a general comedic air to svsss AUs, it just belongs to the svsss experience ya know? Anyway carrying on-

Shen twins, and SQH twins cause why not. If you want Binghe twins too, actually probably funnier with Binghe twins, where one is our beloved maiden Bingmei and the other OG!PIDW Bingge but forced back in time with memories of the PIDW timeline. Transmigrator SQH aka Airplane gets the peak lord + Mobei-Jun plotline while OG!SQH is just chilling as an An Ding Peak Hallmaster or something. Meanwhile, the Shen twins have a funny game of imposter going on. As far as everyone is concerned, there is only one Shen Qingqiu, Shen Yuan. Shen Yuan transmigrated in earlier into the novel, but ended up going to CQM with Yue Qi while SJ got stuck in the Qiu household as in canon. From here the details can change but the main idea is that

A) Shen Yuan knows how to do his peak lord job actually

B) SJ is a calamity ghost, having died either in his disciple years or alternatively never made it out of the Qiu household alive

C) Both SY and SJ have been playing switcheroo when SY needs to head out and do stuff or just wants SJ to do his paperwork for him.

I still need a good reason for the switching and duping, but wouldn't it be funny if the disciples just had to deal with their peak lord behaving WILDLY different at times. Most of the time it's good ol' Shen Yuan smiling at disciples, way too enthusiastic for monsters and plants and keeps forgetting his fans everywhere. Then one random week in the month after he has a resting bitch face, scowls, snarls and bitches at anyone and has 0 patience for teenage attempts at music.

Most shrug it off as just terrible migraine weeks, but some disciples are suspicious, most of all Bingge who is CONVINCED something is WrongTM. Like, he KNOWS SQQ and this SQQ is just so different, something must be different. He doesn't know how right he is yet everyone just thinks he's actually insane.

I know this is probably increasingly insane and dumb, but fast forward to the Abyss opening. SJ was probably there to keep an eye on his clumsy twin, but SY ends up asking the ghost to look over the Luos, as the system still demands that they go to the abyss. So SJ after much grumbling agrees (after all he probably just was unmasked as ghost calamity, and the twins as demons, with a huge amount of cultivators moving their way. It's really the smaller hassle to jump into the Abyss and deal with the horrors there. Besides, the scholar in SJ would be curious about the abyss (and SY too let's be honest) ), kicks both in and goes "Alright we're taking an impromptu field trip" and jumps in after leaving SY to deal with the political mess that comes after.

Anyway, the last AU can be changed in various ways, like make it a PIDW time travel fix it with only the OGs around, or just Shen twins, etc. Feel free to shout at me how dumb this all is.

Lucia even wants to be friends with Alexandra. That is the true happy ending. All of Lucia's favorite characters, worshipping her all at once.

Alexandra refuses to accept her happy ending with Lucia.

She has been betrayed by her fiance, in favor of a vixen who isn't even loyal to him. She vows to destroy her idiot fiance, and the woman he's cheating on her with.

Viviana, Alexandra's sister, soon learns the truth. She's Lucia's close friend. She's been harassing Alexandra for her friends sake

...but then Alexandra drops a bomb.

She says she will dissolve the engagement.

Then Viviana can give Alfonso a legitimate heir, while he lavishes his love on Lucia.

Viviana finally realizes how humiliating Alexandra's position is.

She realizes that bearing a son for friendships sake is way too much.

Alfonso won't be able to keep the Crown Prince title without a proper noble womb though...

Viviana finally realizes that Lucia's love has messed with the royal succession, which will result in lost lives.

The characters all love Lucia too much. They are drunk on her love. This guy believes he can be forgiven for anything as long as an angel like Lucia "loves" him.

Alexandra forces him out of the picture, leaving Lucia with one less insane pawn.

Lucia knows everything. She reincarnated. She is no longer Lucia. She behaves like a player controlling Lucia. She is greedy but she still wants her favorites to be happy.

It is heavily implied that this mystery character is going to kidnap Lucia after Alexandra wins.

It's kinda sweet.

The one character Lucia is honest with truly loves her, in all of her selfish glory.

Theodore is a sexy, pathetic, conniving yandere side character. He is also Lucia's teacher. He is confronted about his love for a student, after Alexandra leaks the information to certain trusted friends. Said friends are smart enough to manipulate Theodore. They tell him he can have Lucia, if he doesn't show up for Alexandra's divorce event.

Theodore is a total freak who sees Lucia as a mother figure, so he agrees.

Alexandra arrests the secret assassin character, Elia. Elia is crazy strong, but he's no match for twenty men. He goes to prison screaming for Lucia. He's dangerous. Obsessed too. There's a high chance that Alexandra still dies in the happy harem ending. Why? Well, because Elias hates to see obstacles around Lucia. He likes to poison women and kill men who get in her way.

So Alexandra gets rid of him before the dramatic reveal can even begin.

The royal family is embarrassed by Alfonso's behavior. The happy harem ending makes all of the MAIN characters happy. The side characters seem to think the otome game cast has gone insane. Characters: Chuuya x Reader with a little bit of Dazai

ANGST, ANGST, AND ANGST! DID I MENTION ANGST? YEAH, ANGST. ANGST? ANGST!

Synopsis: Love is like a game of Russian roulette, except the bullets are all emotions and the gun never runs out of ammo.

Years had passed since Dazai left the Port Mafia, leaving you shattered as you tried everything to keep him from leaving. However, it was Chuuya who picked up the pieces and became your solace. He was always there, even when you couldn't stand to be with yourself.

You started off as friends, but eventually, your relationship grew into something deeper. Yet it was clear that Chuuya was just a rebound. You still loved Dazai dearly, but you refused to admit it. Despite your attempts to make things work with Chuuya, you couldn't help but want what your heart and soul wanted, and that was Dazai.

Chuuya had always been painfully aware of this fact and carried the weight of your doomed relationship on his shoulders. He never said a word because he believed that things would eventually fall into place, and you would see him for who he truly was, not just a convenient replacement.

Sadly, your relationship had been teetering on the edge of a knife for weeks. Your avoidance had been driving Chuuya insane, and the more you pushed him away, the more he clung to you. It was a vicious cycle that had to come to an end.

One night, it all came to a head. You had been distant for days, and Chuuya had finally had enough. He cornered you in your apartment, his eyes blazing with a mix of anger and hurt.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" He spat, his voice rough and full of emotion.

You tried to deflect, but Chuuya was having none of it. He knew the truth, and he was tired of living in a world of denial.

"You're still in love with him, aren't you?" he accused.

Your eyes widened in surprise, but you quickly regained your composure.

"That's ridiculous," you scoffed, crossing your arms defensively.

"Don't lie to me, Y/N," Chuuya growled, taking a step closer to you. "I can see it in your eyes. You still love him, and you always will."

You opened your mouth to respond, but Chuuya continued.

"Do you have any idea what it's like to love someone who will never love you back?" he asked, his voice cracking with emotion. "To be second best, a consolation prize? Do you have any idea how much that hurts?"

Your heart clenched in your chest, but you refused to back down.

"I tried to love you, Chuuya," you said softly. "I really did. But I can't help how I feel."

Chuuya's eyes filled with scornful sorrow, and he took another step closer to you, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Then why did you even bother, Y/N?" he asked, his voice raw with emotion. "Why did you lead me on like this? Why did you make me believe that I had a chance when you knew all along that I didn't?"

Your eyes started to sting with tears, but you refused to let them fall. You had to be strong for both your sakes.

"I didn't mean to hurt you, Chuuya," you said softly. "I really didn't."

Chuuya laughed bitterly, and the sound sent shivers down your spine.

"Didn't mean to hurt me?" He repeated incredulously. "Y/N, you've been hurting me since the day we met. You've been using me to fill the void that damn Dazai left behind, and you never even realized it. Do you have any idea how pathetic that makes me feel?"

The accusation hung in the air, and you felt the sting of his words like a slap across the face.

Your frustration boiled over, and you couldn't hold back any longer. "I tried to love you, Chuuya! I really did!" Your voice rose, matching the intensity of the argument. "Don't think even for a second that I didn't try! You wanted me to move on from Dazai, and I tried to give us a chance. But you can't force feelings, and I won't apologize for being honest about that!"

Chuuya's eyes narrowed, anger etched across his face. "Honest? You call this honesty? You played with my feelings, Y/N, and you're using Dazai as an excuse for your own indecision."

"I'm not using anyone as an excuse!" you shot back, your fists clenched. "I admitted my feelings for Dazai, but I also tried to make this work with you. If that's not enough for you, then maybe we shouldn't be together."

Chuuya's laughter was bitter, echoing through the room. "Maybe you're right. Maybe we shouldn't be together. Because I refuse to be a pawn in your game, caught between you and Dazai."

The tension escalated, and the argument became a battleground of harsh words. Accusations and regrets flew between you like arrows, and with each exchange, the relationship crumbled further.

"Oh, spare me your self-righteous act, Chuuya!" you retorted, the anger turning your words into a venomous hiss. "You knew what you were getting into. Don't pretend to be the victim here. If you couldn't handle the truth, you shouldn't have pushed me to open up in the first place."

Chuuya's eyes blazed with fury. "Pushed you? I pushed you because I cared! I thought we had something real, but all you did was use me as a placeholder until Dazai decides to grace you with his presence again."

Y/N's heart shattered into a million pieces at Chuuya's words. She had never intended to use him as a replacement for Dazai, but she could see now how her actions might have led him to believe that.

Chuuya's heart was racing as he stared into Y/N's eyes. He knew he was throwing his last ounce of pride and dignity away, but he had to do it. He had to try one last time to save their relationship and prove himself to her.

Without a word, he stepped closer to her and cupped her face in his hands, pressing his lips firmly against hers. It was a desperate kiss, full of longing and passion, hoping to ignite a spark inside her.

Y/N initially tensed up in surprise, but eventually she gave in, melting into the kiss. Chuuya poured all his love and emotions into the kiss, hoping to show her how much she meant to him.

Between desperate kisses, Chuuya begged, "Please, Y/N. Choose me. I'll do anything to make it work. I can love you more than he can. I know I can. Please, Y/N--I need you. Take a chance with me instead."

His voice wavered, and with each plea, he sounded more desperate and pathetic. As they pulled away, Chuuya looked into her eyes, hoping to see a glimmer of hope. But instead, he saw the sadness and resignation in her gaze.

"Chuuya, I'm sorry," she whispered, shaking her head. "I can't do this anymore. I can't keep hurting you, and I can't keep living in denial. You were right. I love Dazai, and I always will."

Chuuya's heart sank as he heard the truth, knowing deep down he had clung to false hope for too long; it was time to face reality. He took a step back, his hands falling to his sides, and looked down at the ground, trying to hold back your own tears.

"I understand," he said softly, his voice breaking. "I'll always love you, Y/N. But if loving you means holding onto something that's never going to happen, then I have to let you go."

After pouring out his heart and soul, Chuuya's last attempt to salvage your relationship failed. He stood there, looking at you with eyes full of despair, his last bit of pride and dignity shattered. He couldn't believe that it had come to this.

You gazed at him with a mix of pity and sadness, your heart aching for the man who had loved you so fiercely. You could see the pain etched on his face, and it broke your heart.

"Chuuya," you said softly, reaching out to touch his arm.

Chuuya looked at your hand on his arm and then back up at you, his eyes swimming with tears.

"I'm sorry," he whispered. "I'm sorry for everything."

You felt a lump form in your throat as you observed the broken man in front of you. You had never seen him like this before, and it was a humbling experience.

"Chuuya, please don't cry," you said softly, stepping closer to him.

But it was too late. Chuuya had already broken down, his tears flowing freely as he looked at the woman he had loved with all his heart.

"I just wanted to make you happy," he sobbed, his voice choking with emotion. "I wanted to be the one you loved, the one you needed. But I guess I was never enough."

Your heart shattered at his words, and you instinctively reached out to embrace him. Chuuya reciprocated, enfolding you in his arms, and together, you shared a cathartic moment of shared tears.

"I'm sorry, Chuuya," you murmured, your own tears tracing down your cheeks. "I never intended to hurt you."

Chuuya loosened his embrace, studying you with red, swollen eyes. "It's not your fault," he uttered gently. "I knew the risks, but I couldn't resist. My love for you was too strong."

You nodded, burdened by the sorrow of your crumbling relationship. "I understand," you whispered. "I loved you too, Chuuya. But we both knew it wasn't meant to be."

Chuuya nodded in mutual understanding. "I know," he replied softly. "I just wish things could have taken a different turn."

You managed a sad smile, leaning in to share one last bittersweet kiss—a poignant blend of love and farewell. "I'll always remember you, Chuuya," you whispered as you parted.

Chuuya acknowledged with a nod, his eyes welling up once more. "Goodbye, Y/N," he whispered before turning away, leaving you standing there, solitary, your heart burdened by the weight of unfulfilled possibilities.

Chapter VIII Keep you safe part I

It’s been 3 days….Not long, but long enough. Long enough for your mind to wander. Santiago had told you he loved you,he told you not to worry if you hadn’t heard from him for a while.

But that was 3 days ago, and the other guys never made any mention of being m.i.a. It was normal for Santiago to drop off the face of the earth from time to time. The others not so much. Ben and Will had a strict training regimen to get ready for fights and Frankie just recently got his wings back.

You know they wouldn’t just abandon their day to day lives for another stupid mission. Being alone with your thoughts brings you to a dangerous edge. What if they went back to Colombia? What if they were having second thoughts?

Internalized misogyny has you thinking how crazy it was that you’d basically jumped into a relationship with your best friends and slept with one of them. You’re on a roller coaster of emotions as you convince yourself that they would never do that to you.

They each had called you separately, making promises for the future. Somehow trying to reassure you that this is what they truly wanted. Every night since then you’ve clung to those conversations. Falling asleep knowing that these weren’t like the other guys…these were your boys.

It’s been 5 days…to say you were feeling a little desperate was an understatement. Work had been a nightmare dealing with the aftermath of another hospital nearby shutting down the ER meant you had to take on a lot more work. Days like this before Mike usually consisted of you calling one of the four to vent about your day. The countless times you ended up driving right to their house to spend the evening with them. They were the only ones who understood how you could deal with such day to day trauma and still be able to function.

You couldn’t help yourself and took the long way home after leaving work to drive by their house. Only Wills' truck was parked in the driveway and it didn’t look like anyone was home. Was it weird that you were sitting in your car contemplating life right outside their house? Yes-the answer is yes. You opted to continue home instead of marching up to the front door to find out where the hell they are. You hadn’t heard from any of them, not even a text to let you know they were alive.

Once you arrived home, you took off your work shoes and hung your bag on the hook by the door. You flopped down on the couch completely exhausted mentally and physically from the last few days.

You must’ve broken some Guinness book record for quickest turn around from a breakup.

You feel insane as you laugh alone in your living room. Santi’s list pinned to your fridge of pros and cons that you stare at everyday when you get up to make breakfast is practically taunting you.

You were flying pretty high on Monday morning, so high that your coworker had to make a comment about how well you seemed to be doing after the break up. It wasn’t exactly a lie when you said that it was a relief to be rid of that asshole but you failed to mention you were dating arguably the most attractive men in a 500 mile radius.

But that was 2 days ago. You’re not flying so high now.

Something catches your attention as you lay your head back onto the cushion. The spot where the drywall was fixed had been completely painted over. A perfect match and only Will would know the color seeing as he was the one who painted the wall the first time.

When you moved in he was the first one to come over and inspect everything with a fine tooth comb. He helped you scrub the walls and paint to rid them of the awful smoke smell from the previous renter. You knew how much he loved to work with his hands and keep himself busy.

You get up for closer inspection and it looks dry but you can’t mistake that distinct smell of fresh paint. Even over the strong smell of your scented plug-ins that Frankie couldn’t get enough of. He got you several for Christmas but insisted the lavender-vanilla scent was his favorite. He also said that was his favorite because it ‘smelled like you and it was the only one without a ridiculous name’.

A small part of you is relieved that you can pretty much assume they’re not off on some mission in another country but definitely frustrated at the lack of communication going on purposefully.

No doubt Santiago’s idea…there was no use trying to wrap your head around why he thought it would be a good idea to keep you in the dark. Santiago always had a heightened sense of security and protection. He blamed himself so much for what happened in Colombia. When he came back things were different, he felt the need to control every aspect of what you all did. Even something as simple as planning a night out had to be practically drawn out on paper.

You all didn’t keep many secrets from each other but you never told the others about a night you and Santi went out for one too many drinks and he let it slip that he should have taken control of the situation with the helicopter. ‘I was so greedy I couldn’t think straight. I should’ve told Tom to fuck off and left him there with that money.”

There was no way any of you could’ve known what was going to happen in the days following.

The uneasy feeling in your stomach may have been more than just worries. With the chaos of the day and your mind wandering elsewhere you had completely forgotten to eat. You make your way towards your kitchen as you notice a small note on your island written on a pink post it.

Hermosa, we set up some surveillance around the house to make you feel a little safer. The instructions to set it up on your phone should be in your email by the time you read this.

It wasn’t signed at the end but judging on the handwriting and the pet name it had Frankie written all over it.

You scramble over to the couch to pull out your laptop. A few unread spam messages followed by [email protected]. There you find detailed instructions and a username and password already set up to view the footage on your phone or laptop.

Username-HoneyB1990 Password-OetXMKiOJwkcgBA3cNir. Absolutely not Garcia. You get it set up on your laptop first and see 6 small screens in view. One clear view of your front yard,driveway,each side of your house, back patio and living room?

You can see yourself from the back in real time sitting on the couch as you wave your hand in the air, is that what I look like? You can hardly see the camera placed in the far corner of the kitchen above the cabinets.

Once you’ve played around a little and set up the app on your phone you attempt to change the insane password that Santi obviously set up. You throw your head back dramatically as an email is sent to [email protected] to change the password for this account. You flip off the camera as you close your laptop shut. You probably looked insane assuming they were even watching.

Your stomach grumbles again reminding you of your original task food. Thankfully you had actually managed to meal prep this week to prepare for your busy week at work. You open the fridge to find your tray of lasagna half eaten.Ben, the hungriest person known to man and quite literally a bottomless pit. You can almost see it now, the three of them working meticulously to set up the surveillance and paint while he eats various foods from your fridge.

Ben snuck over to your house a lot to eat food from your fridge. Ever since you’d known him he couldn’t stop raving about your cooking or baking, pretty much anything you made. He was always the softest and the most sensitive out of the four. The first time you had him over to your house you made dinner for the two of you. It was the first time you made the infamous lasagna dish so you were a little nervous, even more so when you heard him sniffling while eating.

‘That bad huh.” He couldn’t help but laugh at the ridiculousness of crying over lasagna.

‘No Honey, it just reminds me of my grandma.”

You didn’t hesitate after that day to make it for him whenever he asked.

It did make you feel a sense of comfort knowing they were all here together, doing something for you. That knot that has been forming in your chest over the last five days loosened just a little more.

7 days… Seeing evidence of them around your house only made you feel temporarily better. The dreaded feeling set in again as you curled up on your couch watching Disney movies trying to self soothe.

The amount of times you stared at your phone or jumped up when it made the slightest noise only to be disappointed when it was inevitably nothing or at least nothing of importance.

Your finger hovered over the call button but you were undecided on who to call. This was uncharted territory and you didn’t want to offend one by not calling and now your brain is doing circles around how to even navigate a simple phone call.

As informal as it felt you needed to hear something-anything from them, so you decided to just text the group to keep things fair.

It was already too late to take it back once you hit send. Part of you knew that they weren’t but you couldn’t shut off that insecure feeling like you’d ruined what you had in such a short amount of time. You try hard to swallow the lump forming in your throat as you wait.

Your heart skips a beat at the blank text bubble. You wait for a further response but it never comes. You can’t stop the tears welling up in your eyes, your anxiety getting the best of you as you attempt a final message. The image of your green text when you send a question mark finally does you in. It’s like the tears can’t stop flowing once they start.

The front of your -Santis shirt is soaked as you dry your eyes. It was too late to call anyone else to go out for drinks to try and get your mind off this. You probably would’ve got some interesting looks anyways with the state of your puffy eyes and lack of sleep.

You couldn’t keep doing this, it wasn’t healthy and so you decided after one more night of sulking you were going to do as much as humanly possible to keep yourself busy.

Sunday was spent deep cleaning your house and organizing every room. The mind numbing tasks were a bandaid on the gaping wound of your heart as you tried to keep yourself occupied. After grocery shopping,gardening, and a ridiculous amount of online shopping you were starting to lose it.

It had been an uncomfortably hot and humid day which was typical for Florida, but as the day went on you noticed it getting a little cooler. You stepped onto your front porch reveling in the beautiful setting sun. There was only a few hours left until it was time for you to start your nighttime routine to get ready for the coming work week.

You stepped back inside only to grab your keys and phone, you couldn’t help but wave at the camera situated in the corner of your kitchen as you made your way out the door. You had done it subconsciously after they had them installed. It made you feel better even if you were waving at no one.

Sunset beach was only an hour drive from your house. Once you were in your jeep with the windows rolled down, your playlist on shuffle and the breeze wafting through the car you felt like you could finally breathe.

You drive for a while happy to have some clarity, a familiar guitar plays on your music

“I put a song on for you.” Ben leans into you obviously tipsy as you try to keep from falling off the bar stool.

The six of you have lost track of how many times you’ve been at this lone bar tucked away in this corner of the world no doubt on a u.s. military issued suicide mission.

“Ben, I told you I’m not singing.”

“Don’t worry sweetheart, you’re not singing. We are.” He gestures among the table as he makes his way to the small stage.

“Who the fuck is we?” Tom looks around the table as the other men have already accepted their fate.

The other three men stand and Frankie shoots you a look you don’t think you’ve ever seen from him before. You try to disguise your embarrassment even though you’re not the one on display.

Santi mouths ‘you owe me’ as Benny leads the chorus to my girl. It’s all so sweet and perfect, even with Tom sporting a permanent scowl next to you, he couldn’t ruin this moment if he tried.

The fact that Will even got up although you’re sure he’s not singing and the red is steadily creeping up his neck at the exposure.

No one else in the bar really cares about this display of affection. Except you care… and maybe you always have. You belonged to them and they belonged to you.

The memory of that night floods your mind as the song finishes. All the thoughts of the past few weeks lull you into a sense of calm as you pull off to the side with your destination in view.

You take off your shoes as you near the beach wanting to feel the warm sand between your toes, the sun is just starting to dip low on the horizon and your body moves you to the edge of the shore as the waves lap at your feet.

The connection between all of you feels right,like all the puzzle pieces finally fitting together. As the colors of the sunset deepen you think about all the countless conversations shared,the dreams and the occasional disagreements that only seemed to strengthen your bond.

Your relationship is much like this sunset,it has its own unique beauty and it’s perfectly imperfect.

As you enter your home you can sense it feels very different from when you left. It only takes a brief moment to notice the four large bouquets on your kitchen island. Their vibrant colors and sweet scent fill the room instantly warming you from the inside. Each bouquet seems carefully chosen with a mixture of roses,lilies ,daisies and other assorted flowers.

As you step up to examine each bouquet closely you can recognize the distinct styles and preferences of this heartwarming mystery gift.

One bouquet filled with elegant red roses and baby’s breath, a romantic and traditional gesture that must be from Frankie.

Another arrangement bursting with wildflowers and sunflowers, is undoubtedly the work of Benny. Your free spirited,golden retriever who probably wanted the most extravagant display.

The third vase holds an array of exotic orchids and tropical blooms. Some flowers you don’t recognize because the mystery that is Santiago always had something up his sleeve.

And the final bouquet, with a collection of delicate pastel blossoms and peonies, all different shades of your favorite color. The color Will helped you paint your room when you first moved into your house. Its taste reflected his refined attention to detail.

With a smile you realize that all your worry has been for nothing. Whatever reason they had for being gone you could live with. This incredible display of affection was enough to let you know they weren’t going anywhere.

A small note is placed between the four vases.

Cons- Having to decide which one is the best.

A singular tear drops onto the note as you close your eyes and laugh to yourself. It was simple and yet said everything you wanted to hear.

A knock on your door has your stomach doing flips, your giddy with excitement as you try to walk calmly to open it. With each step you take a deep breath as you swing the door open.

“Hi Miss, I’m officer Williams from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department and this is officer Jones.” The taller officer gestures to his partner who sports a curt smile. He takes note of the tears on your face and you wipe them with the sleeve of your cardigan.

“How can I help you, Officer Williams.” It only takes you a moment to recover, your military training and years of experience in persuasion have taught you that despite their professionalism, they’re still men. The smaller office smiles at you then as he looks you up and down with no shame.

You have no idea why they could be here and any attempt at disarming them would only work out in your favor.

The taller officer clears his throat as he shifts nervously on your doorstep. “ We would like to ask you a few questions about a missing person Michael?…Do you mind if we come in?”

I miss iwaoi so much like if someone asked why the heckie do I love this ship so much I don't think I can answer it but just LOOK at them. they've canonically been together ever since the two were toddlers, grew up and went to the same middle school and by then iwaizumi was already the go-to oikawa expert, her knew his fake smiles from real ones, knew when he was gonna lose his cool and just hit kageyama (my poor son) but he also knew Oikawa would regret that and it wasn't the real him. they're in highschool and before anything even happens , iwaizumi knows what's oikawa's thought process, calls him shittykawa but. Also CANONICALLY calls him pretty boy all the time and oikawa blushes. he's probably got that compliment so many times and every time iwaizumi uses it he's probably insulting him or trying to tease him. but. Oikawa still. Blushes from it (haikyuu chapter and haikyuu BU) then when they lose the match with karasuno it's iwaizumi who walks home with oikawa and he knows oikawa is thinking. he'll never be truly happy and iwaizumi knows

But oikawa is also. Leaving for Argentina and iwaizumi is leaving for California (btw the recent magazine interview extra thing furudate did has iwaizumi admitting he wasn't gonna. Fall behind oikawa. So iwaizumi deciding to study abroad was also influenced by him) iwaizumi knows he's gotta get rid of oikawa's doubts right then and there. so he does. he calls oikawa the absolute best setter. iwaizumi is literally biased oikawa is the best setter. even during the early episodes where oikawa says kageyama is better than him it pissed iwaizumi of. and even after YEARS iwaizumi says in the interview that oikawa is the best setter ever. he will never move from that claim.

Place in that one seijoh after graduation extra with matsuhana and. Looking gloomily out of the window. hanamaki asking him “is it him? when you look like that it's always about him” meaning iwaizumi misses oikawa so often and sulks so obviously he has a very apparent I miss oikawa face. and matsuhana know it and always ask him about it. iwaizumi responding with a “i just wish he was here too” and then immediately getting a text from oikawa asking him what he's up to. it's 6 am for oikawa he's probably just woken up and he texts iwaizumi. and then immediately responds to iwaizumi when he types his response. oikawa takes time off his day to chat with iwaizumi. I'm not even making it up. and seijoh have regular calls. Where they. Play drinking games (2020 interview) iwaoi probably call each other almost every day. and when they meet at the Olympics again they challenge each other. iwaizumi isn't even playing on the team but they're challenging each other

Moving on from the on page interactions there's also their birthdays being 41 days apart, 4 and 1 being their jersey numbers. Oikawa's birthday being Alexander the greats birthday and iwaizumi being born on alexanders death day. does this mean oikawa starts and ends with iwaizumi? in the court oikawa is often compared to Alexander the Great King and Alexander was very much in love with his right hand man Hephaeston. So much so that he died from grief soon after Hephaeston died. If Oikawa represents Alexander and iwaizumi, as his most trusted represents Hephaeston then they're literally modelled after historic. Lovers. also Alexander looked up to Achilles a lot and we all know about Achilles and Patroclus

Even the names? Oikawa's name means to go through and reaching the river. Hajime iwaizumi means one and spring or fountain. together their names mean dauntless. bravery, pride, mutual trust. that's their strength. and every time oikawa needed to make an epiphany, iwaizumi was there. “a team of better 6 is stronger” that's when oikawa started dividing attention to bringing out everyone's best, not just his own. also iwaizumi becoming an athletic trainer... basically a nurse for team Japan. like. Taking care of injuries, diets and overall health. where do you think he'd already done that? he was used to taking care of Oikawa all his life. I'm not even trying to clutch at straws.. these things are canon. now idk how much of this furudate actually intended. but to have these two boys who have literally. been there. for every stage of their lives. how can I not believe they share a unique and complete love. I genuinely cannot picture oikawa with anyone else because no one will understand him and accept him and mold him the way iwaizumi has and will continue to. also the only relationship oikawa has even been with canonically was some time in middle school and the girl dumped him in like a month or something because he's always obsessed with volleyball. Say what you will but iwaoi is so well done, so nicely structured, the trust and the understanding has such good foundation. Also iwaizumi is canonically as annoying as oikawa. he's just better at hiding it and because he tells oikawa off, people think he's not. but he matches oikawa's energy 100% I think about these two a lot and they really make me hurt and go insane in a way no ship ever has. there's wangxian who are canon gay husbands but iwaoi is so overly connected.... no part of their life can be complete without mentioning the other. and them living in different countries but still managing schedules and staying in touch, them being just fine on their own, but together shining strong and bright. well anyways there's a reason my blog is named after them lmao. they're very special to me. I will write fics on them soon as I get time coz my iwaoi hyperfixation is back full smack force and needs to be dealt with.

winning, losing, timelines, and tying these ideas into the end of the show.

first this is insane:

both lucas and el waking up to someone telling them the same thing

and lucas coming out of the "WINNERS ONLY" door literally

and lucas and el both being "benchwarmers" then winning big out of nowhere. but then they don't really "win" bc el is still in the "circle" that brenner drew for her and doesn't want her to leave (making el go through a simulation of what didn't actually happen etc.) and lucas walks out and is disappointed to see the party after a dnd match instead of his game.

and then lucas being the imposter with the basketball team by pretending to be one of them the whole time/being the only one dressed differently. like el in nina pretending everything happened the way it did/her in lenora lying about what's happening and pretending everything is fine.

lucas here is similar to el wanting to fit in in the lab/lenora

?????? things to be different ???? now we have that chance ???? oh like el in nina ??? in a timeline that isn't the one the current el we are watching is from???? or like just shifting timelines in general in this show maybe in s5???? also i already was thinking about the possibility that brenner put el in nina to literally change the past/to combine timelines like maybe el doing what she did in nina had an effect on reality itself like i think that would be super interesting.

also "skip tonight" ?? "how much time did you skip?" like

also erica says "i'm 11" and she's a sub for her sibling so it seems like to me they're further hinting that el is a sub in nina ?? el taking place of her "twinner" and experiencing what that version of her experienced in a different timeline .

also have a post here about how el is a twin according to continuity that i think we should talk about more bc it's right there.

and the whole swapping places concept is so huge in this whole show and they include it in so many dynamics.

fred says about the game when he sees the tigers starting to fall behind: "looks like my headline has a shot" (different outcome/timeline) like the nina project failing/ending the way it did possibly changed the timelines in reality or something similar ?

there's also so much talk about moving dates or getting them like

like brenner with his whole arsenal of videotapes with so many dates and he captured "every success and every failure." like there's a specific tape or date of significance. and like i said here, maybe this date or tape didn't exist yet or something ?? and they have to obtain it in a way ?? birthdaygate or something of the sort methinks.......

also brenner telling el how superheroes and monsters are a thing of myth and fairytale and "reality, truth, is rarely so simple. people are not so easily defined."

(even though it's ironic bc it's coming from the true "monster" of the show) but it's true, reality is based somewhere in the middle of those two definitions. just like succeeding or failing at something. sometimes you don't fail or succeed but a secret third thing !!!!! and i'm betting that this:

is also in the same vein. but the interesting part is that hopper with this compromise still gets home late. it's like even a compromise/half win isn't always the case either. sometimes it's completely out of your control what happens.

ANYWAYS so this whole concept of someone "winning" but then not "truly" winning all reminds me of heroes. i'm starting to think the "we could be heroes just for one day" is more about being heroes in one timeline at the end of the show or something, bc obviously an ending where everything is perfect and they defeat the evil is not where it's going.

and how joyce closes the door in the last shot of s3 with the song playing, to me it feels like a representation of the end of the show, but also of the UD because i believe the UD is a once alive timeline that got cut off from continuing. maybe at the end they say goodbye to the place they lived their whole lives (their own timeline) and move on to a different one together where things are different but they're all alive and with e/o. they will be heroes and win but just literally for one day/momentarily because it's not going to be a normal win.

(i also have had this fucked up thought for a while that the UD is what remains after them losing the s5 battle and their battle takes place in the past but also the future somehow idk ignore me lmao)

anyways and the first time heroes plays in 1x03 is when you as a viewer see undeniable evidence that will is alive since joyce talked to him, but then you see his body and get confused. you don't know yet if will is really alive or not, you don't know what timeline you're in.

and joyce knows she just talked to will and saw a monster coming out of the wall, and mike knows he saw will's body. it's like two things are true at once.

"the shame was on the other side" and they cut from mike and karen's hug to jonathan and joyce's hug. i wonder if they'll realize theres nothing they can do to like. stop the parallel universes/outcomes and some characters will end up in different timelines than the others or something like either way the ending is going to be oh so bittersweet.

something that's always always caught my attention though is in 1x03 it cuts to black on the last word "day". but in 3x09 the line ends and then it fades to black from the empty byer's house. almost like slowly unveiling something/letting us see a tiny bit more. pulling back the curtain a teeeny tiny bit.

hopefully this was comprehensible since it's a little all over the place but this is my fav type of stuff to think about about this show heheh

Not proof read forgive me for any mistakes I’m too tired to read it myself I made this rlly late

Friends break up, friends get married.

Strangers get born, strangers get buried.

Suguru Getou was now a traitor. Words you never thought you’d ever hear, come from your friends mouth. Gojo wouldn’t even look at you, and honestly it’s the first time you’ve seen him upset at all. You two weren’t the closest, but you were still friends. You were dating his best friend after all, being friends was a must. Suguru and Gojo were a package deal, after all. So to hear of their sudden falling out, you felt sad for the both of them.

In the moment, you felt the need to console him. You didn’t consider your feelings at all. The two were inseparable, the best of friends. You know the two separating is hard for gojo. As he describes his confrontation with suguru, how he just couldn’t kill him, so you hugged and comforted him. Knowing his best friend had betrayed him, you knew he was broken. He felt deep regret for not being there for you in that moment, so he’d pay you back for it in the future by totally spoiling you with his love and care.

Little did you know, that moment of consolation, would be the start of something special between the both of you. It would lead to the start of something entirely new. A new chapter in your lives. It would take many years for either of you to be ready for your newfound relationship, but it would eventually come with getous absence. Time would go on as it would, you’d marry gojo. You’d even have a child.

However, the affections you held for your first love, suguru getou, will always remain. You are reminded of that on December 24th.

Once again, you felt the need to console your current love for being the one to bite the bullet and end suguru’s life himself. After all these years, after all the maturing and aging, you two still cared deeply for that man. But a part of you is just happy it’s over. Even though it hurts, even though it’s unfair, maybe you can both move on. Maybe you can finally be at peace. Even though you never got to say goodbye, this is okay. That’s what you tell yourself. You tell yourself satoru has it worse than you anyway, because he had to be the one to kill him. He was the one that had to find out about his betrayal, about the innocent lives he murdered, he was the one to confront him, lose him, and feel that failure and loss. He’s the one that feels he cannot be vulnerable, because it caused his best friends insanity.

Trends change, rumors fly through new sky

But I’m right where you left me.

But no matter how much changes in this life, he is always on your mind. One way or another, you will never be able to truly move on. Satoru knows that, deep down. He doesn’t say anything about it, cause he doesn’t blame you and he knows you don’t want to acknowledge it. For as much as suguru has done, you loved him for the kind soul he was. You fell in love with the old suguru, and satoru can’t blame you. In a way, he had fallen in love with suguru too.

Neither of you could bring it in you to leave the place he left you both stranded in. In that school that the both of you now teach in.

You’re both reminded of your loss now and again. Getou left satoru behind, and you were left to pick up the pieces. To make him whole again. Getou left you behind too, without a trace. Without even a proper goodbye. You tell yourself, that’s okay. It’s fine. Because he got to say goodbye to satoru. That’s all that matters. He died in peace, he’s gone now. That’s all.

Wages earned and lesson learned

“Life goes on.” you tell yourself.

But deep down, you wait for his return. A sign, anything. You miss him, so much. And you, after all these years, still refuse to acknowledge it. So many different times you’ve listened to satoru pour his heart out, and yet you never let out yours. Satoru doesn’t know how to get you to open up about it, because it’s like you want to pretend he didn’t just leave you behind without a word. The betrayal weights so heavy on you, that you refuse it’s existence.

Deep down there’s so much you never told satoru. Your trust had completely left after suguru betrayed you, the man you loved.

Help, I’m still at the restaurant

Still sitting in the corner I haunt

Cross legged in the dim light

They say “what a sad sight”

You often visit the places suguru used to take you. The memories are fond, but the feelings bring you immeasurable grief and dread.

Satoru starts to recognize the places. Suguru used to ask Satoru where to take you out for your first date, your second, third, and so on. Satoru knows that you miss him.

You refuse to talk about it. And satoru can’t help but watch you longingly stare at sugurus favorite ice cream shop you two used to frequent in highschool.

I swear you could hear a hair pin drop

Right when I felt the moment stop

You never told satoru but, suguru did visit you. In fear for his safety, you were silent about it. Because you loved him, even if you felt stupid for doing so, it was undeniable. Despite everything your brain told you, you kept any contact you had with him a complete secret from even satoru. It’s not like you and him did anything too special.

But the first time you saw him again, the silence between you both was deafening. Time felt like it completely stopped, seeing him for the first time, upon learning of everything he had done.

He was the one to break the silence. And confess to the murder of an entire village, including his parents.

Glass shattered on the white cloth

Everybody moved on

You said nothing. You were silent. Getou understands why. He didn’t exactly come here for forgiveness, rather a final goodbye to the person he loved. He doesn’t blame you exactly if you no longer love him.

“I love you.” he says.

You don’t say it back.

That’s the last time you see him.

And that’s when you both had to move on, and start your new lives, without eachother.

I stayed there

They expected me to find somewhere

Some perspective, but I sat and stared

After that meeting, you didn’t move for awhile. You didn’t cry, or scream, or anything. You were silent and still.

In fact, you stayed like that for a couple days, losing sleep, losing your appetite too. But satoru was there, he always was, you’ve realized. Unlike suguru, satoru is always there for you.

And yet you refuse to acknowledge getou. You don’t talk about him. You’d rather forget he ever existed. Maybe your life would be better that way.

Right where you left me

You left me, oh, you left me no

You don’t utter a word to satoru.

You bitterly wonder to yourself why he had to leave you, why he had to kill all those people, even his words, his explanation to you, made no sense. This was not the suguru you knew. The suguru you knew wanted to help people, protect them, and saw them as that. People. Not some fucking animals. Some monkeys.

Being in love with a man like that is a cruel joke.

You left me no choice but to stay here forever

You had tried to keep it all in, and you certainly have. And you would, for many years.

However, despite you bottling everything up, your pain shows in other ways. Such as simply staring off into space, not uttering a word. Recalling your last meeting with suguru, recalling everything you felt in that moment.

Your face doesn’t give anything away, but your clothing suddenly becoming baggier, the circles under your eyes, certainly does.

Satoru can’t get you to snap out of these states, but you are somewhat in reality when he forces you to eat.

You never want to talk about it.

Did you ever hear about the girl who got frozen?

Time went on for everybody else, she won’t know it

You refuse to be stuck in time and think about him any longer.

As much as you hate the idea of suguru having so much power over your life, he ruined it.

You just want to be happy again. You want to be happily in love without remembering of him, without feeling guilt, you want to be as hopelessly in love with satoru as he is with you, you want to be truly happy with him without the both of you thinking about how getou has effected you both.

You push your feelings for suguru further away. But it only makes you worse.

But for as much as you try to push it away, your mind goes back to highschool.

You think about all the memories you had, the time he asked you out, your first date, even the time you two hung out outside of school as friends for the first time. The first time he hugged you, held your hand, kissed you.

There’s no point dwelling on the past.

And yet, you still keep coming back to it.

Did you hear about the girl that lives in delusion?

Break ups happen everyday, you don’t have to lose it

You wonder if you’re crazy, dramatic even, for still missing him. Maybe you’ve gone mad. You feel more miserable than ever. You’ve tried so hard to make a new life for yourself. With satoru, with your newfound child. And you are, you’re happy. But that sadness lingers, it’s always there. He’s always there.

It’s like you stopped trusting people entirely, like you’ve lost your mind completely. Maybe that’s because of suguru.

You feel wrong for not being able to tell satoru everything. About seeing suguru, about lying to him and telling him suguru never said a word to you after leaving.

It’s so hard to let people in.

But suguru was just so easy to let in.

You always had trust issues. But with him, it felt right to trust him, to love him. Unapologetically, wholeheartedly.

You barred your entire soul to this man, he broke down your walls without much effort at all. Something nobody had ever done.

His sweet smile, his adorable laugh, his eyes that pulled you right in. He was home.

At the restaurant, when I was still the one you want

For the time you had with suguru was good. This ice cream shop was a place you two went to often. Sat and ate at the table, you’d quietly eat and listen to him talk about anything. Pretend to be mad at him when he lightly teased you for getting such a basic flavor.

Moments like these were special, because it gave you the sense of normalcy you lacked.

You know it was special to him too.

These memories of him used to make you smile. You can’t help but wonder what changed?

You told me that you met someone

You two happened to meet, one more time, per his request.

“To catch up” as he worded it. You stupidly said yes, because you missed him. You wondered if he missed you too. It was weirdly casual, and maybe back then you would’ve been mad at him for the audacity of him to act like nothing happened, but you loved him too much to care.

It was only then did you realize how much he had changed these last couple years. He had children. He was a father. He had a life. And you were still caught up on him. You missed him, so much. Did he even miss you at all? He did leave you after all. If he really loved you, he would’ve stayed.

You kept things civil with him. Pushing down everything you ever felt. It was what you excelled at. You weren’t as silent with him this time, which made him a bit more pleased that he could have a conversation with you. A part of him couldn’t stay away from you, despite how things ended and despite how he promised himself he wouldn’t be weak and see you again.

In his mind, you had moved on. You had a child, you were dating satoru, fucking satoru gojo. The rage he felt, he pushed down. Only for you. Only so you didn’t have to watch him seething with jealousy. Only so you didn’t have to love him even less.

You both have new lives now. That was something you both accepted that day.

You look away from the ice cream shop, but gojo just smiles sadly at you.

“It’s okay.” Satoru says, uncharacteristically soft with you, “I get it, yknow? We’ll take it slow, okay?”

You nod slowly, “okay.” you say, and it’s nothing more than that. Cause he knows you don’t want to talk to him about it. You never do. And he respects that. He understands.

I stayed there

You continue to stare, pulled back into your trance for a moment, before you eventually try to continue your date with satoru. You’re distracted throughout the date, and he knows it.

But it’s okay, he understands. Everyone is dealing with losing getou differently, even now.

He allows your silence and he allows you to think about whatever it is. Because this doesn’t happen too often, because he loves you. Because you were always there for him when he cried in your chest about suguru. Because he knows that it’ll be okay. You’ll be okay. You just need some time.

I’m sure that you got a wife out there

Kids and Christmas, but I’m unaware

Cause I’m right where

If he has kids, does he have a husband too? A wife? Wasn’t that what you were supposed to be? Supposed to have? Wasn’t that not meant for you?

He has moved on from you so quickly. You still mourn him. Is this really what you’ve become?

And it’s been so long

But if you ever think you’ve got it wrong

In the end, for as much as you try to deny it. Suguru has your heart. You will always be there for him. Even if he leaves you, even if he moves on like you never mattered, even if he kills all the people in the world, even if you’ve found somebody new. Even when you both live separate lives and even when you both have children of your own. Even when he’s gone and out of this world for good.

And even when he comes back, seals away your husband, and haunts you once more.

You love him endlessly.

Even when you’re the one that has to kill him this time around, finish him off, even if it’s not really him. You do it, because there’s no way you let satoru do it again. Because for as much as you love suguru, you love satoru too.

He’s on his dying breath, but you see him. The real him. He speaks. You can’t help but notice he’s beautiful even when he’s dying.

For the first time ever, since he left, the realization sets in. He will die, for real this time. He will leave your life, once and for all.

“Stay..?” he says, no other words needed to be spoken. Cause he already knew everything you ever thought or felt. Because he always does so effortlessly. He sees right through every wall you’ve ever built. Something your husbands six eyes simply cannot do.

And you see him for who he is, in turn. You see how sorry he is, not sorry for what he did, but that he hurt you, that he left you. He’s sorry he couldn’t be good for you.

You’ve pushed away every feeling you’ve ever had for suguru for so long.

It’s the first time you allow yourself to truly cry over him.

“I’d stay with you forever, suguru.” you admit, the tears finally leave your eyes, it feels good to finally let it all go. But it’s bittersweet. Because in the end only suguru can get you to truly be vulnerable. Because even after everything he’s done. He has your love. He has your trust. You give into him wholly, and unapologetically.

You have come to the understanding that you will miss suguru deeply, but you will finally be able to move on. You’ll live your life with satoru, with your daughter kido. You’ll be happy, you won’t feel guilt, you won’t be constantly reminded of your loss. You’ll even learn to open up to satoru finally, after all these years. Things will be okay.

But for now, you’re with suguru. Even if he will leave you, again. You’ll always be there for him, no matter how many times he leaves you in the dust.

PETRI IT'S SO VERY SWEET OF YOU TO WANT TO KNOW MY REACTION TO THE MOST INSANE 20 MINUTES OF TELEVISION EVER PUT TO FILM BUT IM AFRAID I WON'T EVER BE MENTALLY FIT ENOUGH TO PUT INTO WORDS THE AMOUNT OF PAIN SUFFERING TORMENT AGONY ANGUISH SADNESS DESPAIR DEVASTATION DESPONDENCY HEARTBREAK AND DIVINE WRATH I WENT THROUGH WATCHING THAT ENTIRE SCENE LIKE I WAS GENUINELY WHITE KNUCKLING MY WAY THROUGH IT JUST GNAWING ON FURNITURE TO PREVENT MYSELF FROM GOING ON A KILLING SPREE AND PETROL BOMBING THE GMMTV HEADQUARTERS

i also feel like most people came out of the episode bawling their eyes out for mork and wanting to talk about him, and of course im no different, but at the same time im literally genuinely truly sincerely honest to god fr not kidding when i tell you i could spend the rest of my life talking about day and how good (and underrated) of a character he is. the frankly insane amount of thoughts and feelings i have about him basically overshadowed everything else EXCEPT FOR THE MURDEROUS RAGE I FELT TOWARDS AUGUST. and like.. the thing i appreciate the most about p’aof’s characters is that they’re all incredibly complex and nuanced, there are no heroes and no villains in his stories (despite what night says), so i do think that august cares about day and didn’t have any malicious intent, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions and august’s ones were wrapped up in so much ableism and selfishness since the very beginning, because he never really tried to understand day or think about what would actually make day happy, he just tried to lessen his own guilt for all the times he made day wait hours for him to show up, for all the matches he made them lose because his temper flared up, for all the forgotten birthdays, for not returning day’s feelings. i don’t want to hate august but the pity he feels for day and the guilt that stemmed from it ended up making day’s deepest fear come true and hurting him in ways august can’t even imagine AND IT MAKES ME SO ANGRY

mork’s anger was so relatable because mork, just like the audience, knows. he’s the only one who knows, not just about day’s heartbreak, but also about august’s words cutting much deeper than a simple rejection. this is exacly the reason day isolated himself and begged his mom not to tell anyone about him losing his sight, and the worst part is that august said all that to mork as if day wasn’t even there, as if he was invisible. honestly i could write a whole other post just about this scene and mork’s anger and the tear running down mork’s cheek not for himself but for day and day taking mork’s hand to stop him from hurting august and mork LETTING HIM and the hug but im sure other people already did better than i ever could and this is already getting way too long so let’s just say that the mental health crisis intervention team that’s always in the room with me when i watch this show had their hands full trying to sedate me (and to think that this was the better outcome too like.. imagine if mork hadn't come back. imagine if august had just walked away leaving day alone with no explanation whatsoever and no way of getting home by himself. KILLING AND MAIMING AND BITING AND TEARING AND RIPPING AND CLAWING AND STABBING AND PUNCHING AND KICKING AND MURDERING)

this mess with august is also making me both appreciate and hurt for day and gee’s friendship because she’s the only person from day’s past who isn’t treating him any differently and who is genuinely trying to understand him, and day TRUSTED her, when he needed someone and mork wasn’t there she is the one he called out for, which is HUGE, but he still isn’t ready to fully open up to her and you can tell this is hurting gee a little because she just wants to be there for him, especially after not being able to for an entire year. unlike everyone else, tho, she respects day’s boundaries and is gonna wait for him to come to her when he’s ready, so it pains me to think that what happened with august might push day towards isolation again (like i know mork isn’t gonna let that happen, but i think day is gonna have a hard time hanging out with other people again, at least for a while) WHICH IS WHY I NEED GEE TO DO WHAT DAY STOPPED MORK FROM DOING AND SLAP SOME SENSE INTO AUGUST

AND OKAY LIKE LET’S TALK ABOUT MORKDAY EVEN IF THINKING ABOUT THEM FOR TOO LONG MAKES ME WANT TO THROW MY WHOLE ASS SELF DOWN A WELL AND DROWN IN 5 CM OF WATER AND ALSO AS WE’VE ALREADY ESTABLISHED IM CLEARLY VERY BIASED TOWARDS DAY EVEN IF I DO TRY TO BE AS OBJECTIVE AS POSSIBLE BUT ALSO LISTEN. people out there blaming day for not falling at mork’s feet right away and hurting mork’s feelings by preferring august (which is not entirely true btw) can meet me in the pit and i don’t wanna get into this here since im just rambling and digressing from what you originally asked way too much, but the point is. people look at this as if emotions are completely clear cut and day can’t both have residual feelings for august and some blooming ones for mork that he isn’t fully aware of, and also everyone seems to forget that day can’t see and mork is his caretaker and he has no idea how much of mork being nice to him is mork actually liking him or mork just doing his job. all of this to say that MY BOY DAY WAS THRILLED AT THE IDEA OF SPENDING HIS BIRTHDAY WITH MORK OKAY??????? HE WAS HAPPY AND EXCITED AND GIFTED MORK HIS FAVORITE PERFUME AFTER SPRAYING IT ON HIM (i could act like a 12 years old and make a joke about day spraying himself on mork since the name of the perfume is ‘day time’ but i won’t because im better than that) [no im not] AND COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT EVER KNOWING SOMEONE NAMED AUGUST. so to hear mork say that he went there as a matchmaker probably was yet another thing that confused day so much about mork’s intentions (and it also had me on the floor recreating the collective wailing scene from midsommar but that’s a different matter)

and like don’t get me wrong, i have no doubts that letting day go with august was probably one of the hardest most painful things mork ever had to do and that the only reason he was actually able to go through with it is because he thought that august was where day��s happiness laid. it was also extremely painful to see mork alone in the background throughout the entire episode, unsure of where he stands in day’s life and feeling like he has no right to claim a place next to him, and day definitely had some part in making him feel like that but i also think that mork was so wrapped up in his own emotions (understandably so) that he didn’t really listen to all the times day was asking him to stay. "not a boss. let's just say im a friend", "why didn't you join us for dinner?", "so will you tell me now what you're going as if not my caretaker?". day may not be sure of his own feelings or how to define his relationship with mork, but he does know that mork belongs right next to him, and seeing day looking for mork and not finding him was just as painful as mork once again not being able to give the damn sunflower to day LIKE SERIOUSLY HOW MANY MORE SUNFLOWERS ARE WE GOING TO GO THROUGH BEFORE IT FINALLY GETS TO DAY STOP THIS MADNESS

AND DON’T EVEN LET ME GET STARTED ON THE SYMBOLISM OF IT ALL AND HOW - JUST LIKE AT THE BEGINNING THEY BOTH WERE THE UNHAPPY PRINCE AND THE UNTAMED FOX IN NEED OF A FRIEND WHO WOULD TAKE THE TIME AND EFFORT TO UNDERSTAND -THEY NOW BOTH ARE THE SUN AND THE SUNFLOWER CHASING THE LIGHT THAT MAKES IT VISIBLE BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO CAN TRULY SEE EACH OTHER AND HOW ALL OF THIS TIES WITH THE KISS HAPPENING AS THE SUN RISES OR I WILL START MAKING RABIS-RIDDLED CREATURE NOISES

im very likely forgetting so many things i wanted to say and that are worth mentioning but this already enough of a mess and i’ve also reached that point of insanity where i need to go meditate in a sensory deprivation chamber to come down from the sheer manic energies that thinking about this show has me going on SO. let’s just leave it at that
