coudld you do an eddie munson x gn reader where readers love language is physical touch? they’re always clinging to Eddie’s arms, sitting on his lap and snuggling into him, holding hands, etc. one day someone says something to reader about how they are probably annoying to eddie and their way too clingy so reader tries to stop? hurt/comfort !
YES. YES YES YES.
💗👛💗👛💗👛💗👛💗👛💗👛💗👛💗👛💗👛💗👛💗👛💗
You're sitting on Eddie's lap, looking at his D&D manual as he narrates the events of tonight's campaign. You're not taking any part in the gameplay, you just like to be close to him, and he likes to be close to you.
"Hey, I'm gonna use the restroom real quick," he murmurs in your ear, kissing your cheek.
You nod and get off his lap so he can leave.
"So... does that not piss him off?" says Mike after a moment.
You furrow your brow in confusion. "What?"
"Like... how you're constantly all over him."
"Dude!" Dustin hisses, elbowing him.
"What!?" Mike rubs his side. "It would irritate me."
You shrink into yourself. "Do you really think it bothers him?" you ask, voice small.
The boys' eyes widen. "What?" says Dustin. "No, no no no. He loves you, man, he talks about you all the time."
You bite your lip, still self-conscious.
Mike swallows. "Yeah! Like, I don't know that he would be bothered by it. I just think I would."
Lucas hits his arm. "You are so not helping," he hisses.
You fidget uncomfortably. "Maybe I should just... stop being so clingy."
"No, no no no - "
Dustin shuts his mouth as Eddie enters the room. Your boyfriend senses the tension and smiles in confusion. "Hey guys." He walks over and you slide out of his chair. "Is everything all right?"
"Yep!" says everyone, a little too quickly. You awkwardly take a seat on the sidelines.
Eddie gives you a questioning look. "(Y/N), why are you - "
"Don't worry about me," you say quickly. "Just play your game." You force a smile. "Don't let me distract you."
Eddie gives you one more look, biting his lip, before sighing and continuing with the game.
After everyone leaves Eddie walks over to you. "Hey, are... you okay?"
You look up, eyes wide. "Yeah! Yeah, of course, why wouldn't I be okay?"
Eddie raises an eyebrow. "(Y/N), baby, I can tell when you're lying to me."
You sigh, shoulders slumping. "Fine..." you mumble. "Does it... annoy you when I'm clingy?"
Eddie's face scrunches in confusion. "Clingy? You're not clingy."
"I'm all over you all the time!" you protest. "That's the exact definition of clingy!"
Eddie shakes his head, sitting beside you. "No, it's not. I define clingy as like... an emotional dependence thing. Like if you depended on me for absolutely everything that would be clingy. But you're not like that. You just enjoy physical affection, and guess what?"
"What?" you ask softly.
He leans close and pecks your lips. "I do too," he whispers. He pulls you into his lap and attacks you with kisses.
You shriek with laughter. "Stop, Eddie, that tickles!"
"Oh yeah?" He grins devilishly and kisses you more.
You giggle till you're both out of breath and slump against him.
"Hey," he says softly, "who put that idea in your head?"
You fidget uncomfortably. "Mike. But it was nothing, he didn't mean anything by it. Please don't get mad at him."
He waves you off. "Ignore him. Mike has a big mouth. He doesn't know anything he says."
You laugh a bit. "You really don't mind me being super affectionate?"
He shakes his head. "Not in the slightest. On the contrary, I really, really like it."
You smile. "Good. I really like it too."

Summary: A protective!Sam, comfort drabble
CW: sexual harrassment and non-consensual touching but the fic takes place after the fact, violence, Sam is mildly injured, guilt, angst
Most days you liked having a protective girlfriend.
Most days you felt safe knowing Sam had your back, practically untouchable.
Today wasn't one of those days. Standing in front of her, examining the purple blooming on her face you only felt terribly uneasy.
A hiss escaped Sam's teeth as biting cold connected with her jaw.
"Sorry." You said, grabbing her hand with your free one -the one not holding an ice pack to her face- and her fingers curled around it in a reassuring grip.
"It's alright."
'Alright'. The word felt like a taunt.
You kept gnawing at the inside of your cheek, the same way guilt kept gnawing at your gut.
It was entirely illogical of course. It wasn't your fault. That man never should of put his hands on you.
"I'm alright." She said firmer, obviously noticing the storm cloud hanging over your head. Her tone softened as she added, "I'm more worried about you."
"Me? I didn't get hit."
Her doe eyes looked so emotional and protective -and as guilty as you felt.
"You got assualted."
Just like that, the memory you had mentally sidelined swung back like a wrecking ball and a fresh wave of nausea made your stomach clench.
The fear that gripped you when Sam started swinging at the man -and worse when he started swinging back- overpowered the wholly different kind of fear you felt when he first began lingering a little too close to you, taking advantage of the crowded street to invade your personal space.
You were lucky to have Sam. Her sharp eyes clocked him immediately, even before discomfort grew heavy in your stomach. His groping hands were barely on you a few seconds before she could push him away.
"I know... but you should've been more careful. You could've gotten hurt."
"You know I've been stabbed before, right?" She said lightly, trying to sound unfazed. "Like... a lot."
"Yeah and I don't want it to happen again." The words came out harsh and regret followed swiftly.
Great. She helped you and now you were snapping at her.
"I don't want you to get hurt." You amended. Your voice was barely above a whisper but the pain laced through it was loud and clear.
"I know." Sam let go of your hand to pull you into her lap, her arms wrapping around your waist. "I don't want you to get hurt either, that's why I had to do something."
Her hold was soft, warm, protective... The total opposite of that stranger's touch.
You twisted around until you could see her face, her attentive eyes still trained on you, only fluttering closed as you leaned in.
Her lips were gentle against yours -hesitant. You guessed you could understand why. Even with that, the contact filled you with reassurance.
You pulled back, pecking her nose on the way. Despite herself, she couldn't stop the upturn of her lips at the gesture and seeing her smile made you mindlessly mirror it.
"Thank you for that... for having my back."
Her hold on you tightened just a fraction as if to prove the point.
"Always."

In the morning, Jonathan and Steve and Argyle make breakfast together, and Eddie watches them move around each other kind of bemusedly. He's not sure how, but somehow, it works, and the end result is a spread enough to feed even this hoard.
They trickle out sometime after that, most of them checking on Eddie and Steve one last time. Robin hurries some of them - Dustin and Mike - along, saying Steve has to help Eddie with his physical therapy.
"Wayne's dropping me off at home," she tells them, when it's just her and his uncle waiting in the truck left. "That's my gift to you - you get the weekend to enjoy your physical therapy."
She waggles her eyebrows meaningfully, cackling at them as she leaves.
When it's just them, and the house is utterly silent, they look at each other.
"I'll lock up downstairs," Eddie offers.
"I'll take upstairs," Steve agrees, already running towards it.
Eddie checks the doors and windows, just to be safe, then books it upstairs.
Steve's already sitting on the bed, eyes scanning what looks like Eddie's discharge paperwork.
He looks up when Eddie walks into the room, his expression lighting up in a way that makes Eddie's heart beat a little quicker.
"We need to talk," he blurts out, before he can let himself get distracted by the urge to kiss Steve senseless.
Steve's face falls. "Oh," he says. "Um. Yeah, okay, sure."
"About Jason," Eddie adds hurriedly. "And everything that happened."
"Oh! Right, you're right. Of course." Steve sets the papers aside, scooting up on the bed so Eddie can come sit across from him.
Steve immediately gets his hands on Eddie's knees when he does, leaning into his space. "How are you doing?"
That's not what Eddie meant, but he lets himself think about the question anyway.
"I don't know," he admits. "Can we come back to that?"
Steve makes a face at him. "That won't work forever," he warns him.
"I know," Eddie says. "Does it help if I say this time, at least I knew I wasn't alone?"
Steve considers that. "Does it help you?"
"Yeah," Eddie says slowly. "Before - when I was in the boathouse, or on the lake, or in the woods alone, or even in the Upside Down, there was a lot of times that I thought for sure I was going to die. But last night? I believed I'd be okay. I knew you were there, I knew you all had my back."
"We always will," Steve promises, tipping his head to kiss him.
"That's the other thing we need to talk about," Eddie says. "You always being so ready to be the one to take the hits."
Steve rolls his eyes. "Why does everyone keep bringing that up? I'm not trying to get hurt."
"You still do, though," Eddie points out. "Every time. You think we don't worry about you? Look, if you can look me in the eye and tell me it's a hundred percent not because you think you're worth less than the rest of the party, or that you're only as good as what you can do for them, then I'll drop it."
Steve's jaw tightens, throat working as he swallows.
"Thought so," Eddie says when Steve's been silent for a while.
"I don't exactly think I'm worth less," Steve says.
Eddie waits, but there's no lie, so he relaxes a little.
"But I guess I do think this is what I'm good for," Steve continues. "This is how I can help them."
"Stevie," Eddie whispers, his heart breaking a little. "There's so much more to you than just that, okay? You're more than that to them. To us."
He knows that Joyce said it last night, and he's pretty sure that Robin must have told him it at least a dozen times, but he's also pretty sure that Steve needs to hear it as much as possible.
Steve gives him a bittersweet little smile. "What else am I supposed to do, Eds, sit on the sidelines? Let one of the kids get hurt instead?"
"That's not - okay, look, I'm not going to ask you to stop. No when it's for the kids, and not when we all make plans for Vecna. I get it, I do," Eddie says. "But I don't want you to do it for me."
"Like you weren't going to do the same thing when Jason had the gun pointed at you," Steve says.
Which -
"Okay, fair," Eddie concedes. "But if I don't like it when you do it for me, and you don't like it when I do it for you, where does that leave us?"
Steve frowns. "I don't know. I guess - I guess we work as a team?"
Eddie scrubs a hand over his face. "We did okay once we actually got on the same page?"
Steve drums his fingers on his knee. "I think this is a conversation we need to have with Robin here," he admits.
"Good call," Eddie agrees.
Steve's quiet for a moment. "But I hear you, okay? I do. I know you and Robin don't like it. Like I told her, I - I'll think about both of you before I do anything."
And that -
Yeah, actually, he thinks that's all he needs right now.
"But you have to do the same," Steve adds. "No more like what you did with the demobats."
Unlike when he promised Dustin he wouldn't do that again, he actually thinks it through this time.
"If it's Dustin or me," he says slowly. "It's going to have to be me."
Steve looks at him pointedly, and Eddie winces.
"Right, I know, it's the same for you. But I-" Eddie cuts off, trying to figure out how to say this and be honest without being too vulnerable.
"Eds," Steve murmurs, thumbs rubbing over the inside of his knees.
Right. It's Steve, his soulmate. He can be vulnerable. More than that - he thinks he needs to be vulnerable.
"I wanted to be brave," he admits. "I didn't want to run anymore. I know you don't think I had anything to prove, but I thought I did."
"What about now?" Steve asks.
"I don't know," Eddie says. "I don't think I'm an NPC anymore. But this is - I'm not like you guys, I don't know what I'll do next time. If I'll run again."
Steve frowns. "What's an NPC?"
Eddie huffs out a hollow little laugh. "Non-player character. It's the side characters in a D&D campaign, the ones that no one actually plays, they're just there to facilitate the story and then disappear."
Steve's face smooths out into understanding, and he leans in to kiss him, just the softest brush of their lips together. "Yeah," he says when he pulls back. "I figured you felt like you weren't really one of us, and that you weren't going to make it. But you don't anymore?"
"No," Eddie says. "I don't really know what to do with it, but I know this is it. This is where I want to be. You, uh. You're it for me, too, Stevie."
He'd already accidently fessed up to overhearing Steve and Robin's conversation, after all, so he might as well go all in.
Steve huffs out a little laugh, kissing him again. "I love you."
"Love you, too," Eddie whispers. Then he pulls back, arching one eyebrow. "So how about that physical therapy?"
Steve pulls Eddie's discharge paperwork back out.
"Wait, you - you actually wanted to do the stupid stretches? I thought that was a euphemism!" Eddie says, disappointed.
Steve bumps their knees together. "If you don't stretch out that leg first, you're going to cramp up in the middle of something you really don't want to be cramping up in."
"Oh. Oh! Okay, I'll take it." Eddie flops onto his back on the bed, legs sprawled out. "Okay, Stevie, you're the jock here. Get me stretched out."
Steve laughs, scooting over to get his hands on Eddie's leg. He spreads the paperwork out next to him, looking at it for a moment before he dives right into it.
Eddie lets out a surprised grunt as Steve maneuvers his leg, one hand cupping his knee and the other on his thigh. He can feel it deep in his hip as it rotates nice and slow, can feel the stretch of his thigh, but no there's no sharp pains like he might have expected.
"Tell me if it hurts," Steve says, glancing back at the paper and then moving him again.
The diagrams hadn't been all that helpful when Eddie'd looked, and he'd figured he'd have to actually read through the written instructions a few more times to make any kind of sense of them. But Steve moves his leg around easy as anything, his guiding hands gentle and firm and every movement nice and fluid.
Eddie props himself up on his elbow so he can get a better look at Steve. "You're pretty good at this. Hey, I bet you'd make a good physical therapist."
Steve hums noncommittally.
"No?" Eddie asks.
"I mean, sure, maybe, one day. For now? I might get the Family Video job back, or somewhere else around town that's still open, but until Vecna's down for good, my full time job's gonna be - what'd you call it? Being a paladin."
Eddie can't exactly refute that, but shit, everything about that statement sucks.
Well, almost everything.
"You know, I can see the barbarian side of you, too," Eddie teases.
Steve rolls his eyes. "Fine, full time paladin, part time barbarian."
Eddie snickers. "You're already multiclassing."
Steve scoffs, but his expression is unbelievably fond. "I can't believe how into it I am when you're being a giant nerd, it's pretty embarrassing."
It makes Eddie's insides go all warm and gooey, Steve looking at him like that, and yet -
"You are, though, right? Into it?" he finds himself asking.
"Eds," Steve murmurs, leaning in closer. "I'm into everything about you. It's you."
Eddie tries to just accept it. It's clearly not a lie, but something about the way Steve says it like it should be obvious makes him hunch in on himself a little.
"Right, who wouldn't be into a nerdy, virgin, drug dealing super super senior?"
Steve frowns, pulling back to look at him. There's a scrunch between his brows that says he's thinking hard about something, and Eddie wants so bad to reach out to smooth it out.
Wait.
Now he can.
Eddie presses his thumb to the little spot, rubbing it like he's rubbing away whatever Steve's thinking about that's making him make that face.
Steve huffs out a laugh, batting his hand away. "All right, let's look at this," he says, rocking back on his heels and holding up one finger.
"First - in case you haven't noticed, all of my friends are huge nerds, man. I'm kind of a nerd, I just look like much less of one compared to all of you. Second -" Steve puts up another finger. "All right, I'm not super thrilled about the drug dealing when it comes to the harder stuff, but you did what you had to, and I'd be a huge hypocrite if I complained about the weed. Third - it's high school. Weren't you the one who said it feels like it's a lot less important now in the face of everything else?"
"That's different," Eddie mutters, feeling a little bit overwhelmed. He's not used to having someone systematically refute almost all of his points about himself like that, and he doesn't know what to do with it other than focus on the one it feels like Steve doesn't understand. "That was social conformity, this is - this is fucking graduating, man."
He's not sure what he'd do if Steve brushed it off again. Fortunately, Steve just shifts a little, laying down on his side next to him.
"Will you tell me?" Steve asks.
Eddie turns to face him more, hand coming up to fiddle with the hem of Steve's shirt. "My dad never graduated," he says finally. "Dropped out after junior year when they told him that it wasn't looking good for him to be able to graduate, said there were bigger and better things out there than high school, anyway. I don't want to be like him, I don't want to give up."
Steve brushes his hair back, tucking it behind his ear. "You fought Vecna with us. You stuck with us, even now. You decided to work with me on making our bond romantic even when you thought Robin and I were together. You aren't the give up type, Eddie, and if graduating is important to you, then it's important to me, too. I know you can do it."
Eddie slips his hand under Steve's shirt, thumb rubbing over his waist. "Yeah? You gonna cheer for me at graduation?"
Steve quirks a little grin. "I'll yell for you and Robs so loud you'll hear me over everyone else."
Eddie kisses him.
"Noticed you didn't say anything about the virgin thing," he jokes when they break for air.
Eddie doesn't actually think that's an issue for Steve, not after how he'd reacted when Eddie first told him, but when Steve doesn't say anything, it makes him frown a little.
"Steve?" he asks, pulling back to look at him.
"It's not like that's going to be true much longer," Steve points out, but there's something about the way he says it that makes Eddie narrow his eyes at him.
"Steve Harrington," Eddie drawls, delighted. "Is that a thing for you? Do you have a virgin thing?"
"I don't have a-" Steve starts to protest, then amends it to, "I don't exactly have a virgin thing."
"Oh, but you have a sort of virgin thing?" Eddie teases. "You're into it, aren't you, popping cherries?"
Steve shoves him as Eddie cackles, and before long Steve's giving a little snort of laughter too.
"Shut up," Steve says. "I just - I like being able to make someone's first experience a good one, okay? I like that someone's trusted me enough to be their first time. And - maybe I really like the idea of being that for you."
"Yeah?" Eddie asks, his voice softening a little. "You gonna make it good for me, Stevie?"
Steve props himself up so he can lean over Eddie, dropping a kiss to the corner of his mouth. "You gonna let me?" he asks, just as soft.
Eddie swallows. "Yeah. Yeah, I'll let you."
Steve hums in response, kissing along the line of his jaw.
Eddie grunts when Steve bites him just under the edge of his jaw, his hips bucking up involuntarily at the sensation of Steve's tongue soothing over the sting from his teeth.
His hands push under Steve's shirt, fingertips scratching through the hair over his stomach as he pushes the fabric up.
"Off," he mutters, tugging insistently, until Steve finally pulls away from his neck to strip off his shirt.
Eddie groans, finally getting to openly stare at him the way he couldn't do the last time Steve was shirtless. He reaches out eagerly, palms sweeping up Steve's ribs before he pushes his fingers through the fucking lush mat of hair on his chest.
Steve grunts as Eddie skims over some of his soulmate words, eyes going wide. "Fuck."
"Right?" Eddie agrees, sliding one hand back down to do it again.
Steve shoves his own hands under Eddie's shirt, manhandling him a little to get him sitting up enough that he can pull it off.
Eddie's dick twitches, practically straining against his jeans - yup, Jesus Christ, confirmed that is definitely a thing for him.
When it's Steve, at least.
He expects Steve to get his hands on him, the way Eddie's still stroking possessively over Steve's chest, but instead Steve dips down and gets his mouth on his collarbone, sucking a mark into his skin.
Eddie makes a choked off sound, something between a moan and a curse.
"That okay?" Steve asks quietly.
One of Eddie's hands abandons Steve's chest so he can push it into his hair instead, tangling in the soft strands so he can hold him right where he is.
"So fucking okay," Eddie says.
Steve huffs out a little laugh, the puff of warm air against his collarbone sending a little shiver down Eddie's spine.
He doesn't dive back in immediately, though, leaving Eddie squirming and arching his hips up.
"What're you waiting for?" he demands.
"Looking for something," Steve replies.
Before Eddie can ask what, Steve dives back in, tongue dragging a line over his sternum.
Right where Eddie knows it says I don't think you're brave.
If Eddie thought it was overwhelming before, having Steve's hands on his words, it's got nothing on his tongue. The wet heat against his chest seems to have a direct line to his dick, and when Steve's lips brush over another line of words on his stomach, he feels it fucking everywhere.
Eddie's not entirely sure how, but somehow, they manage to get both of their jeans and underwear shoved down and tossed aside.
There's so much fucking bare skin, and Eddie's greedy for it, reaching out and touching anything he can reach as Steve practically makes out with every bit of soulmate ink he can find.
Eddie throws his head back as Steve sinks lower, tongue carefully tracing one of raised red lines of his mostly healed bite marks without quite touching it, teeth grazing along one of the bisected words instead.
His hands tangle in Steve's hair again, grip a little harder than he means to - but Steve gives this punched out moan, and fuck, okay, Eddie's going to assume a little hair tugging is on the table.
Steve finds the words on the inside of Eddie's thigh, the ones that say I don't care about my soulmate, too, and I won't do anything to keep them safe, and if Steve's hands weren't on his hips, Eddie's pretty sure he would have hit Steve in the face with how hard he bucks up when Steve bites him there.
"Steve," he manages to get out. "Steve, I'm gonna-"
"Yeah," Steve says, getting one hand around his cock and stroking over him. "Come on, Eds."
His grip on Steve's hair tightens so much it has to hurt when he comes, spilling all over Steve's hand and his own stomach with a strangled shout. Steve strokes him through it, like he's trying to get every last bit of sensation out of him that he can.
Eddie's panting harshly when Steve finally lets go, and his hands slip out of Steve's hair as Steve pulls back to sit up.
His brain is practically mush, and he's not sure he can even feel all of his limbs, let alone move them, but he still makes a greedy little noise when Steve rocks back on his heels and Eddie gets his first good look at his cock.
"Gimme," Eddie mutters, hands twitching as he tries to reach for it.
Steve laughs softly. "Next time," he says.
Instead, he takes one of Eddie's hands in his, lacing their fingers together. With his other hand, Steve jerks himself off, stroking quick and rough, and Eddie's fucking mesmerized by the sight.
It doesn't take long for Steve to come, too, and Eddie's feeling pretty fantastic about that. Steve is so fucking beautiful when he comes that Eddie's spent dick gives a little jolt, and he wonders how quick Steve could be ready for that next time.
Steve drops down next to him when he's finished, and they press together as close as possible, trading kisses that are more like panting into each other's mouths than anything else.
"I love you," he murmurs in Steve's ear, when he's finally got enough breath left to speak.
Steve holds him closer, burying his face in Eddie's neck. "Love you," he returns.
They lay like that for a long time, as Eddie slowly feels his heart start to calm down - as it sinks in that this is fucking real.
"You okay?" Steve asks after a while, voice soft.
"I'm fucking fantastic," Eddie replies.
Steve hums happily, finally tipping his head up so he can kiss him. "That was a first for me, too, you know," he admits quietly.
Eddie smiles. "First boy Steve Harrington ever slept with, that's a pretty good achievement."
Steve rolls his eyes. "First and last," he points out, which -
Hmm.
Okay, apparently that might be kind of a thing for Eddie, too.
"Ruined you for all other men, didn't I?" Eddie asks smugly.
Steve snorts, pinching his side.
Eddie just grins at him, wide and gleeful, until Steve huffs out a little laugh and kisses him again.
"You're lucky I really like seeing you like this," Steve retorts.
"What, all fucked out?" Eddie asks.
"Nah. Like seeing you happy."
Oh.
"Stevie," he murmurs, gently pushing his fingers through Steve's hair.
Steve tilts his head into his hand for a moment. Then he smirks. "Besides, that wasn't anywhere close to what I plan to do to get you all fucked out."
Eddie's dick twitches again.
"So, uh. How soon can we have that next time?" he asks.
Steve grins at him. "Lunch first, then round two?"
"Hell yes," Eddie agrees.
It's going to be a fucking fantastic weekend.
Robin Buckley and Nancy Wheeler graduate with the rest of their class that year.
And this time, finally, so does Eddie Munson.
Graduation doesn't happen until July, with all the delays, but Eddie is right there among the class of '86, wearing Steve's jeans and one of his uncle's button ups and all of his rings and chains under his cap and gown.
Robin's name gets called first, and Eddie joins the near deafening roar that comes from all of the people cheering her in the bleachers. He can faintly hear Steve shouting "That's my girl!" over everyone else, but Eddie's not sure if that's because Steve's actually louder than all of them or because he's listening out for Steve more.
When it's Eddie's turn - he honestly doesn't know what to expect. It might be dramatic of him, but he wouldn't be all that surprised if he got tomatoes thrown at him.
What he gets, though, is a roar just as deafening and a fucking standing ovation from two rows of the bleachers. He can hear his uncle shouting "That's my son!", a whoop that sounds like a battle cry coming from the party, and Steve damn near screaming, "That's my boy!"
Eddie can't resist throwing out a pair of devil horns after he takes his diploma.
Vecna is still out there, and Hawkins is still a shithole, and Eddie still doesn't have any more of an idea of what his future holds than he did when he was still in high school.
But he's got two soulmates, and a boyfriend, and a family big enough to fill two rows of the bleachers, and as long as he's got them by his side?
They can handle anything that comes for them.
-----
And we have officially reached the end! I do have a little bit more planned in this verse eventually - a couple of B side things and some prequels from Steve's POV, and a one shot of the campaign they all agreed to play, but for now, this is completed.
I wanted to give a huge thank you to everyone who liked, reblogged, and commented! The response to this honestly astounded me a little, and I wouldn't have been so motivated to finish this without reading everyone's comments and tags in their reblogs. Thank you all so, so much, and a massive thank you to the Steddie fandom in general!! I'm definitely not done with this pairing, and I hope to have more done for them soon.

I know this isn’t really relevant to the recent promo we’ve gotten (which I’m still swooning over, for the record), but I’ve been thinking about how some people in this fandom have been fussing over Pen having a potential suitor (or suitorS, we don’t really know) this season, and I don’t understand their complaints, I guess?
… like, I’m pretty sure that it’s meant to MIRROR Season 1.
(…see what I did there? ;)
There are multiple ways in which Colin and Penelope’s stories / situations have mirrored the other. They are not perfect mirrors (that would be dull), but they ARE similar and I truly believe that it’s intentional to reinforce both Polin’s compatibility and ultimately their empathy for the other.
A few examples:
Colin: is viewed as the “one-dimensional” easy-going, un-serious, charming brother who never rocks the boat; never gets angry.
Pen: is viewed as a shy, quiet, harmless wallflower who never steps out of line and is kind of a doormat.
As a result of the above perceptions:
Colin: is desperate for something to fill his time and energy the way his brothers have something, SO he impulsively courts and proposes marriage to a girl he barely knows to feel needed and wanted in a way that makes him feel mature; and he gets the validation he seeks from Marina, as it suits her needs (I don’t mean that in a derogatory way, she genuinely needed him to be desperate for validation to get a quick marriage). A heady feeling, someone relying on you and telling you that you are desperately needed…
Penelope: is desperate to feel a part of the ton in any way she can, because her and her family are tolerated at best, and heavily criticized at worst. So rather than suffering through the season, crushed, and always on the sidelines against her will, after choosing to start LW —perhaps on a whim, perhaps it was discovered and encouraged by chance like in the books— she “chooses” to hug the wall and not be noticed… (not at all a coping mechanism and a fear of rejection, amirite??) …and she eventually gets the acceptance and validation she seeks by having the ton hang off her every word as LW…. Again, a heady thing for a lonely 17-18 year old who wants to be heard and who craves acceptance, however she can get it.
Penelope: has to watch the man she’s in love with, one of the few people who listens to her and who she shows aspects of her true, (sometimes cutting self) with, court and eventually propose to a girl she knows is actively manipulating him.
She then (quickly, imperfectly and messily) interferes to spare Colin from the plot… without his input (after a failed first attempt to appeal to him, in her defense… and then the time limit became a problem).
Colin: quickly and imperfectly interferes in Jack’s ruby scheme in order to fix his own rashness, but also to spare the Featherington family… (without their input, it must be noted, even though he says he does it for them).
…And now in season 3, Colin will need to watch as Pen attempts to attract suitors, possibly while he watches with feelings of jealously if she has some success (Edit: Though I doubt it will get all the way to an engagement; too redundant)
(And this is nothing but speculation, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if Colin either discovers something about one of the suitors, or about another plot entirely and is forced to make a difficult decision regarding it, that impacts Penelope).
Penelope: writes things that can have a negative impact on or hurt people, sometimes for her own own comfort (LW), even if it’s not intentional.
Colin: says and does things that hurt others or that are misleading / obliviously harmful, sometimes for his own comfort (avoiding the needling of those men at the end of S2), even if it’s not intentional.
Penelope: has self esteem that has been in the TRASH since the beginning of the series - this poor girl hates herself, and has had it reinforced often (and likely from a young age) that her thoughts and opinions aren’t worth hearing, and that she is never enough (and is one of a few reasons why I find the “she wanted Colin for herself!” takes about the end of S1 pretty laughable)… so she hides behind LW. Colin is one of the only people she’s hinted to that she can be biting (Eloise gets glimpses of it), and I think the ONLY one she has hinted at that she has “grand dreams”
Colin: ALSO has self esteem that is pretty low, desperately seeking something that he thinks will make him feel whole and complete, the forgotten middle child (same, bro…), and he masks this uncertainty by flaunting a fake confidence and hiding behind his hobbies and being what everyone wants him to be… also he he can keep people from looking deeper… while simultaneously desperate to be seen by those around him. Pen is the only person he’s really hinted at that he’s unhappy when they discuss purpose.
EDIT: How could I forget?! BOTH are the third children in their family. Colin is the forgotten middle child, and Pen is the youngest, but both are criticized by their acting heads of their household (Anthony for Colin, Portia for Penelope), and criticized by their siblings. Penelope’s sisters brutally mock her often: her weight, her skin, her letter-writing, etc. Colin’s siblings clearly mean to just tease him, but it’s obvious how much their lack of interest in him as a person hurts him and makes him feel invisible and unwanted (my poor boy 🥺…)
Mirrors, mirrors, and more mirrors. Sometimes they are funhouse mirrors, the situations aren’t ever exact, there are nuances and specific context to each, but imo the similarities are very intentional.
The show is going out of its way to put these characters on more equal footing, and to have each of them make blunders in their lives and in the lives of others, knocked off their respective pedestals, to set them up to be like “wow, I get it, I get YOU and I choose YOU, with all the highs and all the lows” … and I LOVE it!! 🥹
People in this fandom tend to relate to either Penelope, Colin, (or sometimes both), and that’s awesome… but that doesn’t mean they don’t each have flaws. It also doesn’t have to become a “who hurt who more, who is more right?” - I am so uninterested in that: pain isn’t a competition.
What I AM interested and invested in is their growth, seperetly and together, and the removal of their masks to truly see and accept the other.
So yeah, y’all. It’s called a parallel, and I really hope we get loads of them in S3. 🥰
I honestly really welcome conversation and thoughts about this; I’m pretty new to the fandom, but unfortunately I have seen a lot of people (on tumblr in particular) be very “holier than thou” if they don’t agree on an interpretation, and it makes the fandom seem very unwelcoming and makes me nervous to even post things, which is pretty ridiculous. :/
Fandom gonna fandom, I guess. 🤷‍♀️ I just really love this show and this pairing and I’m dying for S3.

What do you think are the routes where Yui has a better writing, that shows more abt her, where she shows more improvement in comparision to the others, etc? And wich ones do you think are the worst writing-wise for her?
I think the bad endings count as development since the development is the change of the character whether is for the good of the character or for the worse, the character is developing in those cases so is Yui in the bad endings.
// I can’t say she has really a lot of improvement in any route but I think she was the strongest in MB, where she proved that she’d truly do anything for the person she loves even before starting dating. I think putting yourself in danger is not really a sane mindset but I liked her courage there. I feel like her strongest version is in Kou’s MB route. Laito, Kou, Carla and Kino were the characters who hurt Yui the most: Laito successfully broke her; at some point she breaks in Carla’s route and wishes to take her own life; and despite starting off well in Kino’s route, she ends up getting so brainwashed and not being as cool anymore as in the beginning of the route. Nevertheless, she never broke in Kou’s route, no matter how terrible he was towards her there, which is something I really appreciated. As for worst writing, idk, I guess whenever she’s inconsistent or just turns into an emotional support and does dumb stuff to “advance the plot”.
I don’t really take bad endings as development, since she turns out pretty bad in those, doing things she normally wouldn’t do, and when I think of development, I imagine positive progress not involution. >_<
However, even if she didn’t grow as a character that much, my favorite version of Yui must be the one from Ayato’s DF route. She was a sweetheart for the WHOLE route and was the happiest Yui ever gotten in a main game. On top of that, even if Rejet wanted the route to be Ayato’s hero arc, they didn't sideline her; instead, they gave her a significant part in it too, allowing her to befriend Cordelia and have girl talks with her while still being a good girlfriend and not serving as Ayato’s therapist but rather letting him make his own choices and succeeding like that. No couple drama, no unnecessary heroine or love interest angst, no OOC, no uncalled dumb moments; just straight up a good story, that did justice to the main characters there. This route proved that, if they truly wanted to, they could write the heroine and the love interest in a way that is balanced and allows both to shine simultaneously.

false god
Tumblr media
word count: 2k
CW: sexual themes, fluff, sebastian in LOVE, they’re both switches. lets be real here
A/N: false god goes so hard. and for what. everything i write will be taylor swift themed until i forget or get bored. also, i wrote this at 2 am. i’m so sorry if anything is bad. i guess this song still does it for me. my girlfriend proofread this 😐
pairing: sebastian sallow x f!reader 🤍
Sebastian was a lovesick puppy when it came to Y/N. Complimenting her, brushing hair out of her face, doing everything she needed. He was convinced she was a Goddess. She was so powerful and that barely scratched the surface of describing her.
Her beauty, he could think of every word under the sun to describe her, but none of the words would be right.
The way she looked at him. When she smiled it made his chest burn. He wanted to be the only one to make her smile. To make her laugh. To make her happy.
He longed to be near her whenever they were apart. Sebastian loved the way she smelled. The way she giggled when he would make a flirty comment. The way she looked at him.
The way she could ask for him to help her on journeys. She needed to search an abandoned cave? He was there. She needed help studying some ancient tome? Sebastian’s on it. Oh, she’s gotta break into the Restricted Section? Seb was her go to guy.
Sebastian could watch Y/N for hours. He was so enraptured by her. Her aura drawing him in and not letting him go. Not that he wanted it to. Whatever she did, he would tag along. If you wanted to talk to Y/N, Sebastian would be by her side.
When they were in class, he would steal glances of her as often as he could. The way her eyebrows furrowed in concentration. The small smile she had when she understood something difficult.
He loved watching her duel. Whenever they weren’t partnered in Crossed Wands, he would stand on the sidelines and watch her. She was graceful with her movements. She was calculated yet so free. Watching her duel was similar to a ballet.
When they would duel together, Sebastian was quick to protect her. Not that she needed it. She was a more than capable witch, but the thought of her getting hurt scared him. More than he’d admit. It was a thought that chilled him to his bone.
He couldn’t tell her this though. Oh, no. Absolutely not. They’re just friends. There is no way in hell that she could have the feelings he has for her.
No matter how bad he wanted to worship her, to make her his, he never said a word. Unless, he was speaking to Ominis of course.
Ominis was more than happy to hear about Sebastian’s crush at first. Now? After months? He would give nothing more than to cast a silencing charm on Sebastian.
He would encourage Sebastian to tell Y/N about his feelings. How he wants to be with her but Sebastian refused. He could talk about how it would ruin everything. He’d rather be a supportive friend than lose her because of his feelings.
Sebastian and Y/N would study often. Ominis would leave early every time. He’d make up some excuse as to why he had to leave. Ominis hoped if the two were alone, Sebastian would come to his senses and tell her how he felt.
One beautiful, sunny, autumn day at Hogwarts, Y/N asked Sebastian to hangout outside. It was a day she just wanted to sit near the lake and read. Sebastian was terribly excited to be around her. He packed some food for the both of them in his bag before heading out to join her.
When he arrived, he saw her sitting on the grass beneath a tree. The sun hit her in spots that made her seem like she was glowing. The shade perfectly casting shadows across her making her look more ethereal. The clothes she wore, the corset that was hugging her waist, he drank in her appearance. A thirst he could never quite quench.
Y/N looked up, seeing Sebastian and smiled. She waved him over and scooter over so he could share the tree to prop up against.
“Hey,” Her voice rang out in his ears, filling him with the indescribable urge to hear her speak forever.
“Hi, I brought some food. I’m not sure how long you wanted to be out here for,” Sebastian opens his bag, taking out food he had taken from the Great Hall. A soft squeeze is felt on Sebastian’s arm.
“You’re much too kind to me, Seb,” Y/N smiles warmly. Sebastian feels his cheeks burn as he blushes. He nods, looking away, back to his bag trying to regain some form of composure.
“Did you want to do anything? I was just going to read, but we can do anything you want. Maybe not exploring. I’m still a little sore from Tuesday.” She giggles, her laugh making all the darkness Sebastian faces fade away.
“No, just figured I’d join you. It’s a nice day,” She nods, agreeing with him. She takes his hand in hers.
“Well, I certainly don’t mind the company,” She smiles again and leans her head back against the tree. Y/N closes her eyes and sighs, happy to be basking in the shade.
Sebastian’s eyes are concentrated on their intertwined hands. His blush deepening, and moves his gaze towards Y/N. He studies her face, the scar she got recently healing nicely.
Sebastian gets a surge of confidence and raises Y/N’s hands to his lips, leaving a featherlight kiss to it.
Y/N’s eyes peel open, not taking her head off the tree. She hums before closing her eyes again.
“You know… your freckles become more prominent when you blush.” Sebastian’s eyes widen. He doesn’t say anything, just looks to her. Her voice was like honey to his ears.
“It’s quite adorable,” Y/N continues, giving Sebastian’s hand a small, comforting squeeze.
Sebastian’s mind was racing. She was always so quick to put him at ease, but her words could create hurricanes inside his mind.
He raises their hands again, kissing it softly before moving more up her arm. Leaving quick, burning kisses in his wake.
Y/N opens her eyes again, looking at Sebastian as he kisses her shoulder. Her eyes bore into his, Sebastian’s heart stopping. Had he read her feelings wrong? Had he completely fuc-
“Sebastian?” Y/N turns her body to face him. He drinks in her form again, looking her up and down. He didn’t care if he was shamelessly staring at this point. His feelings were burning to get out. His heart pounding so hard against his ribs.
“Yes?” Y/N’s eyes traveled down to his lips then back to his eyes.
“Do you want to kiss me?” Sebastian was sure he was hallucinating. Possibly dreaming. He didn’t want to wake up.
“Yes,” He whispers, frightened that if he talks loud enough, this’ll end.
“Go ahead,” She moves his shaky hands to her waist, bringing her face closer to his.
“Come on, love.” She closes her eyes as Sebastian closes the distance between them. He wraps his arms around her waist, bringing their bodies closer. Y/N pushes Sebastian’s shoulders back against the tree as she gets on top of him. She takes a swipe at his bottom lip, waiting for him to part his mouth. Their kiss deepening before Y/N pulls away, kissing down Sebastian’s jawline. She bites his neck softly, quickly smoothing her tongue against the bite.
Sebastian sighs. He couldn’t tell if he was dead and in heaven or if this was real. A goddess, his goddess, on top of him, her lips grazing his neck. He was sure she could make him feel anything. Everything.
Y/N pulls back, causing a whimper to leave Sebastian’s mouth. She runs her fingers through his hair, smoothing out his flyaways.
“You’re such a pretty boy,” She leans in close to his ear, her breath tickling him. “My pretty boy.” She kisses his neck again, biting down harshly. She moves back again, her hands on his chest.
“Say it,” Her voice was firm. He moved forward to kiss her but she pushed against his chest, keeping him in place. She shakes her head and moves close to him, close enough to touch but far enough away for him to be desperate.
“Say it, darling. I want to hear it,” Her eyes darkened. Y/N was clearly enjoying this. Sebastian coming apart at the seams by her touch. She loved how easily she could wind him up.
“Your- your pretty b-boy,” Sebastian moves to kiss Y/N, which she allows. She smiles into the kiss. She grinds her hips against his, causing an involuntary moan to spill from Sebastian’s lips.
“You’re so good for me, darling,” She kisses Sebastian softly, slowly moving her hips against his. Sebastian pulls away, letting his hands roam around her body. Frowning at the corset she decided to wear. He wanted nothing more than to peel it off of her.
“You’re, uhm, you’re really pretty,” She rolls her eyes and pulls Sebastian in to kiss her again by his tie. Sebastian wraps his arms around Y/N’s waist, again, flipping her to be underneath him. He lays her down softly, looking her deep in her eyes to make sure she was alright before smashing his lips to hers again.
Y/N brings her legs to wrap around Sebastian’s waist, bringing him closer to her. She tangles her hands into his hair, pulling him closer. Sebastian’s head dips his head to her neck, biting her roughly as she once did. She cries out in pain and pleasure and Sebastian smirks against her.
“So fucking stunning,” he whispers against her neck, moving to give her more bruises. As he bites down, Y/N grabs his hair, causing him to groan against her. His hips snap against hers, feeling her heat against him.
“Seb,” Y/N moans out. He tilts his head at her. Her moans are more than heavenly. He could listen to her moan for him all day.
“Yes, love?” His voice is low, rich, soothing. Y/N’s brain is semi-short circuiting. This cannot be the same Sebastian who was whimpering for her not even five minutes ago. Her mouth opens, but no words come out.
“Speechless? Adorable,” He kisses her neck, again. Bruises littered Y/N’s neck as well as Sebastian’s. She brought her hands to his chest, her legs moving to be between his legs. Y/N quickly flips the both of them over. Sebastian’s eyes go wide at the sudden movement. He goes to say something before she brings a finger to his lips.
“Sebastian. I’ve seen the way you look at me. The longing stares. The way you follow me around whenever I need. The whispers you share with Ominis when you think I’m not around,” She brings her lips close to his ear. “I know you want me. I know you need me. You’re practically drooling for me now.”
Sebastian’s face flushes with embarrassment, not knowing what to say. He looks away from her, blushing profusely.
“Darling,” she moves her hand under his chin, moving his face to look at her. “Look at me.” He nods his thumbs rubbing circles into her waist.
“I know you’re too scared to ask, so I’ll do it myself. Do you want to be my boyfriend?” Sebastian’s eyes widen again. He moves to sit up, making Y/N to have to shuffle against him, which almost causes him to moan out.
“Y-Y/N, love,” he takes a deep breath, “I would love nothing more.”
Y/N smiles and wraps her arms around his neck, kissing him softly, tenderly. The kiss is filled with all the moment they ached for. The stolen glances. The whispers. The adventures they went on. Everything fell into place for them. Here. Now.
“Seb,” Y/N says against Sebastian’s lips.
“Mhmm.” He hums against her, kissing her more passionately before she pulls away.
“I conjured a bed in the Room of Requirement earlier today.” She smiles, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
“Ah, that’s nice.” Sebastian leans his head against the tree.
“Seb,” Y/N says again, her voice a bit more demanding.
“What?” He looks into her eyes and she widens them with an are-you-stupid look.
“Oh!”

❝hand cuff bonding❞
Tumblr media
✭ pairing : Tony stark x reader
✭ fandom : avengers
✭ summary : (Y/n) and Tony have been dancing over their feelings for one another for far to long and Natasha would be damned if she sees her friend feelings get hurt again so she does what any good friend would do and hand cuffs the pair together for 24 hours. They have until the time runs out to confess or Natasha will expose their feelings to one another her damn self
✭ authors note : requested by someone who does not wish to be named, which is fine, long time ago I think on @fandomnationwhore blog, not sure how long ago you put this request in but I thought I would get it out there for you as soon as possible. You requested Tony Stark x reader but somone hand cuffed them together for 24 hours to get them to confess their feelings for each other.
✭ avengers masterlist
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Y/N) had lost count of how many times they had danced around their feelings for Tony Stark. It had become a complicated game of witty banter, teasing, and stolen glances. But Natasha Romanoff, always the observant friend, had decided that enough was enough. She was determined to push these two stubborn souls together, even if it meant resorting to unconventional methods.
One sunny afternoon at the Avengers compound, (Y/N) found themselves engaged in a lively debate with Tony about the latest technology advancements. Sparks flew, not just from the conversation, but from the undeniable chemistry that simmered beneath the surface. Natasha, who had been quietly observing from the sidelines, decided it was time to take action.
With a sly grin, Natasha approached the duo, holding a pair of handcuffs in her hand. She stopped right in front of them, causing both (Y/N) and Tony to pause mid-argument.
"What's this?" Tony asked, eyeing the cuffs with suspicion.
Natasha, always direct and to the point, replied, "It's an experiment in bonding."
(Y/N) raised an eyebrow, unsure of where Natasha was going with this. "Bonding? We're already a team."
Natasha's smirk widened as she explained, "Not that kind of bonding. I'm handcuffing the two of you together for 24 hours."
Both (Y/N) and Tony protested simultaneously, their objections ringing through the room. "You can't be serious!" Tony exclaimed.
"This is ridiculous!" (Y/N) added.
Natasha, unfazed by their protests, simply shrugged. "Think of it as a forced team-building exercise. I've got a mission to attend to, and you two need to work out your feelings."
With that, Natasha moved swiftly, attaching one end of the handcuffs to Tony's wrist and the other to (Y/N)'s. The click of the cuffs closing sent a shiver down their spines.
"Now, enjoy your bonding time," Natasha said, a mischievous glint in her eyes as she left the room, leaving the two of them literally attached at the wrist.
Tony and (Y/N) exchanged incredulous glances, their faces flushed with a mix of annoyance and embarrassment. Little did they know that this unexpected turn of events would force them to confront the feelings they had been dancing around for far too long.
Tony Stark and (Y/N) stood there, handcuffed together, exchanging flustered glances as Natasha's words lingered in the air. "Feelings? You have any clue what she's talking about?" Tony asked, a teasing smirk playing on his lips.
(Y/N) was quick to deny, their cheeks tinged with a hint of pink. "Feelings? No way, Tony. It's all in her imagination."
Their eyes locked for a moment, and both of them quickly glanced away, their hearts beating a little faster.
Tony sighed dramatically, his tone playful as he said, "Well, since we're stuck like this for 24 hours, we might as well make the most of it."
(Y/N) couldn't help but chuckle at his attitude. "I guess so. What do you suggest, Mr. Stark?"
Tony's eyes sparkled with mischief as he replied, "First things first,” He calls out to his AI, Friday, and instructed, "Friday, cancel all my meetings for today."
Friday's calm voice responded, "Yes, sir. Meetings canceled."
Tony grinned and turned back to (Y/N). "Well, we're free from work obligations for the day. What shall we do with our newfound freedom?"
(Y/N) couldn't help but return his smile, a sense of excitement building in their chest. "How about we start by not killing each other during this experience?"
Tony chuckled, "Agreed. No murder attempts today." He joked.
Tony Stark and (Y/N) had decided to spend their day indoors, away from prying eyes, to avoid anyone getting any ideas about their cuffed-together situation. They had ordered food from a nearby fast-food restaurant and made their way to Tony's private quarters on his own floor within the Avengers Tower.
As they settled into the plush couch in Tony's spacious living room, the aroma of the fast food wafted through the air. The two of them were determined to make the most of their time together.
(Y/N) grinned as the delivery man knocked on the door. She got up to answer it, and Tony had no choice but to follow along, their handcuffs jingling as they moved. She thanked the delivery man as he handed over the bags of food.
The delivery man's eyes widened in surprise as he recognized the pair. "Wait, you're Elastic Girl and Iron Man!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with awe.
Before he could say anything else, Tony reached into his pocket, pulled out a wad of cash, and handed it to the man. "Thanks, bye now," Tony said, effectively cutting off any further conversation.
The delivery man blinked, clearly stunned by the generous tip, and Tony promptly shut the door in his face.
(Y/N) couldn't help but shake her head as she returned to the living room. "That was a bit mean, Tony."
Tony gave her a playful pout, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Aw, well, guess I'm mean then," he quipped.
They settled back onto the couch, bags of fast food spread out before them, and selected a movie to watch. As they dined on their greasy, delicious meal, the movie played on the large screen.
(Y/N) couldn't resist capturing this moment, where they were both cuffed together on Tony's plush couch, enjoying their meal and the movie. She pulled out her phone, discreetly leaned her head against Tony's arm, and snapped a quick photo, making sure to capture the warmth and contentment in their expressions.
As the movie played on, (Y/N) found herself comfortably nestled against Tony's side. His right arm, the one not cuffed to her, naturally slipped around her shoulders, creating a sense of closeness that felt surprisingly right.
Tony, usually so full of energy and restlessness, seemed to have succumbed to the cozy atmosphere and the warmth of the moment. His breathing grew steady, and soon, he was asleep, his chest rising and falling in a peaceful rhythm.
(Y/N) glanced over at Tony, studying his features in the soft glow of the television. His face, so often marked by confidence and charisma, now seemed relaxed and vulnerable in sleep. She couldn't help but admire the rugged charm of his features—the slight scruff on his jawline, the way his eyelashes cast delicate shadows on his cheeks, and the faint smile that played on his lips, as if he was content even in his dreams.
She gently shifted to get a better view, careful not to disturb him. With her free hand, she traced the contours of his face, marveling at the depth of emotions that this brilliant inventor and billionaire playboy concealed behind his facade.
In this quiet moment, with the world outside forgotten, (Y/N) realized just how much she appreciated Tony Stark. His wit, his intelligence, and his determination were admirable, but it was his vulnerabilities and the glimpses of his true self that truly drew her in.
As the movie soundtrack played softly in the background, (Y/N) leaned in, planting a gentle kiss on Tony's forehead. She rested her head against his shoulder, feeling grateful for this unexpected opportunity to get to know the man behind the suit, the genius behind the gadgets, and the heart beneath the armor.
Tony slept on, completely unaware of her affectionate gaze, and (Y/N) couldn't help but wonder if, in the midst of this unconventional situation, they were both starting to realize that maybe, just maybe, their feelings ran deeper than they had ever imagined.
Natasha Romanoff had a knack for appearing at the most inconvenient moments. Just as (Y/N) was lost in thought, studying Tony's sleeping face, Natasha entered the room quietly. Her dark eyes locked onto them, and she couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.
"Have y'all confessed yet?" Natasha asked, her voice carrying a teasing tone.
(Y/N) quickly shushed her, her finger to her lips. "Not so loud, Nat. He's sleeping."
Natasha smirked and lowered her voice, but her curiosity was still evident. "Well, did you?"
(Y/N) hesitated, glancing back at Tony's peaceful expression. "No," she finally admitted in a hushed tone.
Natasha's expression shifted from curiosity to a more serious demeanor. "Why not?" she asked, her voice gentle.
(Y/N) sighed, her eyes never leaving Tony's face. "I'm scared, Nat," she confessed quietly. "You know Tony's reputation when it comes to... well, ladies. I don't want to risk ruining what we have, not just our relationship, but the dynamic of the entire team as well."
Natasha considered (Y/N)'s words carefully, her gaze fixed on her friend. "If that's how you truly feel," she began, her tone serious, "then you have a choice to make. You can either tell him and risk the outcome, whatever it may be, or you can give him up."
(Y/N) stared at Tony, feeling a mix of longing and trepidation. Natasha's words hung in the air, a weighty decision that (Y/N) knew she couldn't avoid forever. It was time to confront her feelings and face the uncertain future, whatever it might hold.
* CONFESS * :
As Natasha quietly left the room, (Y/N) felt an overwhelming sense of determination wash over her. She couldn't keep dancing around her feelings any longer; it was time to face the truth. She turned her attention to Tony, who was still peacefully sleeping on the couch.
(Y/N) took a deep breath, mustering all the courage she could find. She leaned in closer and gently shook Tony's shoulder. "Tony," she whispered, "wake up."
Tony stirred, his eyes fluttering open. "Yeah, yeah, I'm up. What happened?" he mumbled, clearly still half-asleep.
(Y/N) took a moment to gather her thoughts before she spoke. "Tony, there's something I need to tell you," she began, her voice unwavering. "I can't keep doing this dance around our feelings any longer. I... I like you, Tony."
There was a pause, a silence that seemed to stretch for an eternity as Tony's gaze locked onto (Y/N)'s. The room seemed to hold its breath, waiting for his response.
Finally, Tony spoke, his voice filled with a mixture of surprise and vulnerability. "You do?"
(Y/N) nodded, her heart pounding in her chest. "Yes, I do. I've liked you for a long time, Tony. I just couldn't find the right moment to say it."
Tony reached out and gently cupped (Y/N)'s cheek, his fingers warm against her skin. "Well, maybe this is the right moment," he replied softly. "Because I like you too, (Y/N). More than I ever thought possible."
Relief washed over (Y/N) as she heard his confession. She felt a smile tug at her lips, and she leaned in closer until their lips met in a soft, tender kiss.
In that moment, surrounded by the quiet of Tony's private quarters, they realized that the dance they had been doing around their feelings was finally over. They had taken the plunge, and now, they were free to explore the depths of their affection for one another without hesitation or fear.
(Y/n) pulls away from the kiss smiling before she realizes something “Oh, let me check and see where Nat is at so she can take these cuffs off.
Making quick work at shooting her friend a message she got a singular reply back from the red head the message reading “lab” so standing the pair made their way to the lab.
Upon entering the lab, Natasha was already there, her eyes sharp and knowing. She took one look at them and couldn't help but grin. "So, y'all finally confessed?" she asked, her tone tinged with amusement.
Tony and (Y/N) exchanged a brief glance, and for the first time, there was no need to hide or deny their feelings. "Yes," they both said in unison, their voices filled with a sense of relief.
Natasha raised an eyebrow, her lips quirking into a smile. "Well, it's about time," she remarked, her gaze moving to the handcuffs that still bound them together.
With a quick flick of her wrist, Natasha uncuffed them, and the cold metal restraints clattered to the floor. "Congratulations," she added, her tone now genuine. "It's about time you two figured it out."
Tony and (Y/N) exchanged a glance filled with shared understanding. They had taken a leap of faith, confessed their feelings, and were now free to explore the depths of their affection without secrets or shame. It was a new beginning, and they couldn't be happier about it.
As they left the lab, hand in hand, Tony and (Y/N) felt like a weight had been lifted from their shoulders. They had finally found the courage to embrace their feelings, and they were ready to face whatever the future held for them, together.
* GIVE HIM UP * :
(Y/N) stared at her phone, her fingers hovering over the screen, debating whether or not to send the text message to Nat. Her heart raced as she contemplated her feelings for Tony and the potential consequences of her decision. She had replayed their moments together in her mind countless times, but now it was time to make a choice.
With a deep breath, she tapped out the message: "Hey Nat, I've thought a lot about this, and I've decided it's best for me to forget about my feelings for Tony. I don't want to risk ruining our friendship. Thanks for always being there for me."
As she hit send, a mix of relief and sadness washed over her. She had made her choice, but it was bittersweet. (Y/N) knew that it was the right decision, but it didn't make it any easier.
Within moments, a reply from Nat appeared on her screen: "I'm proud of you for making that decision, (Y/N). Remember, I'll be here for you no matter what. We'll get through this together."
Grateful for Nat's support, (Y/N) smiled weakly at her phone before setting it down. She hoped that with time, her feelings for Tony would fade, and their friendship would remain intact.
Twenty-four hours later, (Y/N) and Tony found themselves sitting across from each other in the same coffee shop. The atmosphere was different this time, lighter and less tense.
Tony looked at (Y/N) and broke the silence, his voice casual, "So, that's done."
(Y/N) met his gaze and nodded, her own tone relaxed, "Yeah, it is."
Tony leaned back in his chair, a playful smirk on his face as he asked, "So, (Y/N), now that you're free from being handcuffed to me for 24 hours, what's your grand plan?"
(Y/N) grinned, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "I'm going to go adopt a dog."
Tony burst into laughter, the sound echoing through the coffee shop. "A dog, really? Was I that bad to be handcuffed to?"
(Y/N) chuckled, fully aware of Tony's teasing tone. "Oh, you have no idea. You were a handful."
Tony raised an eyebrow, feigning innocence. "Me? A handful? I was the perfect handcuff partner."
(Y/N) shook her head, playing along with his banter. "Sure, if perfect means constantly trying to sneak away to get your morning coffee."
Tony chuckled, admitting defeat. "Okay, okay, guilty as charged. But hey, I did make coffee for both of us."
They shared a laugh, the tension from their earlier conversation now replaced with lightheartedness. Tony's eyes sparkled as he asked, "So, can I join you on your dog adoption adventure? I promise I won't try to run away this time."
(Y/N) grinned, touched by his genuine enthusiasm. "Of course, Tony. You're welcome to come along. It'll be fun."
As they made plans to visit the local animal shelter together, (Y/N) couldn't help but feel grateful for their friendship. The handcuff incident had brought them closer, and now, they were embarking on a new adventure together – one that involved wagging tails and furry companions.

Congrats on 1000 followers! You're such a good writer and you deserve it! Might I request 95 for Jade pretty please?
Prompt #95: "No, you're sick. You're not doing chores until you're better."
Character: Jade Leech
Finals week is the busiest time of year at the Monstro Lounge - not counting festival days, of course. Normally Jade does not bother himself with menial tasks since there are indebted volunteer student employees. Yet when the going gets tough, the tough get going.
You’re always willing to lend a helping hand as well, which he appreciates greatly. Bussing tables, taking orders, seating guests, and most importantly-keeping Floyd in control. Students are always on edge during finals and so the volunteers get a bit testy with his brother.
Which is a recipe for disaster, knowing Floyd and his short temper.
Today was one of the bad days, where most of your energy went towards pacifying incoming brawls and keeping things PG. Jade watches from the sidelines as yet another fight almost breaks out, and you instantly trying to drag the shouting employee from his brother before they get hurt.
As he dries cups behind the bar, Jade notices how Floyd’s no longer humoring the student. Instead he’s watching you.
Jade doesn’t need to guess why, because one second later your legs give out and the student is shoved away. Floyd catches you before you hit the floor, and Jade is at your side in a heartbeat.
Jade places his hand on your forehead, and tsks at the heat. You push his hand away, mumbling “i’m alright,” and trying to stand up.
“No. No, you are not, and I am quite insulted you think a pathetic display like that would convince me otherwise,” Jade says, and snaps his fingers to signal someone else to cover for him. He lifts your withering form into his arms and calmly lays you on a sofa in the back.
“Let me go….I still have work to do and it’s not even dinner,”
“No, you’re sick. You’re not doing any chores until you’re better, and you will be staying here where I can watch you. Be good and rest until I return,”

Open up the safe, bitches got a lot to say
Yan! Sanemi with a reader with a uniform like Mitsuri's
(Giyu is also a yandere for you, cause I said so)
Tumblr media
(Ufotable & Gotouge had no business making him look this fine. He's just so babygirl, and I WILL stand by that.)
He is one of the most greedy for your affection and attention
He is possessive and psycho, but also shy and vulnerable, at times
When he sees you in that uniform, that is a huge no
No way in hell are you going out exposing your chest like that
When you point out that both of you are matching, he will humor you for like a minute at most before he goes back to serious.
I mean, he likes seeing you in it, but there is no way everyone else is going to see you in that
After compromising (smut) he will let you wear it, if you wear a haori over it
You do, but he still sees people looking at your chest, and guess what, they die
Sanemi never physically hurts you, because he doesn't like being reminded of his father, but he does manipulate you on the sidelines by forcing you into situations
He makes you feel special with that uniform, only when he is allowed to see it
He's especially on your case about men, because he knows how trashy some people can be
Sometimes, he throws the other male hashiras under the bus, especially Tengen, who sometimes flirts with you for fun
He sees Giyu giving you glances and it pisses him off
He would never beg you to get rid of it, because he has more pride than that, but he'll do things to make you feel like you're the bad one in the situation and that your uniform is bad
He'll even undermine Kanroji as well, when you try to bring up her uniform
He doesn't really like her all that much anyway
His whole message is: GET RID OF IT
But, he loves you!!

“here.. just in case- y’know something happens, and i don’t make it.” max handed you all the envelopes, you were sure they had some kind of suicide note inside.
“max..” your voice quivered slightly, you’d been through an awful lot this past few years, just barely scraping the laws of death most days, but this feeling.. right now.. this has to be one of the worst feelings you’d ever felt.
max looked at you with a sad smile, an emphatic nod of her head before she went to turn around back to the desk at the other side of the room.
you quickly stood up from your spot and gripped the sleeve of her jacket, pausing her in her steps.
from the corner of your eye you saw steve look over at you, dustin and lucas still confused and staring at their letters.
she turned back around and tilted her head at you, asking without words why you stopped her.
“you can’t give me a death note max.. that’s not how this works” her eyebrow raised.
“how does it work then y/n?”
as you were about to reply, she cut you off,  “because as far as i’m concerned i’ll be dead by nightfall and we’ll never get to speak to each-other again!” her voice became louder, eyebrows furrowing together in discontent. “that letter is the only way i’ll get to say goodbye to you, i’m sorry if it’s burst your little bubble of happiness” she shrugs forcefully.
you scoffed, “max- you don’t get it!” your own voice raising.
“when billy died last year, i couldn’t stomach it… every minute there was a reminder that he was gone. i had nightmares each night, about the mind flayer.” you saw her eyes flash with recognition, you knew she’d been having the same nightmares as you.
“and i felt so guilty about it.. but i had so much hope that it’d take me too.. so that i could be with billy again. but it never happened, i always woke up right before it could.” you willed the tears to stay back in your eyes, to not start crying, if you did- you knew wouldn’t be able to stop.
you saw steve freeze for a moment, he was the only person you’d talked to after the incident at starcourt, it killed him hearing about how you felt, and hearing it back now- was hurting him beyond belief. you’re his best friend.. but you had to get this out- for max.
“i couldn’t get out of my bed for almost 2 whole months!”
“i get it y/n, you think i didn’t suffer through that?!” you knew she did... that’s why you were talking about it- so that hopefully she’d open up to you, before it was too late.
dustin and lucas shared a look, not as subtle as they probably thought they were being.
“i know you did! that’s my point here. i can’t do it again max- this time i’m not just going to watch from the sidelines as you’re killed by this thing!”
“vecna.” dustin said quietly, probably not wanting to get yelled at, yet feeling the need to interject.
“yes- vecna.” you exhaled a large breath, the anger and frustration you were feeling seemed to be coming out like steam from your ears, everyone could see it.
you were snapping. everyone knew it was going to happen eventually, they just weren’t sure when.. i guess now came the inevitable breaking point.
“you’re not dying today, you aren’t dying anytime soon, i’ll make sure of it.” you promised.
“whatever..” she said, head shaking slightly, before she looked down to the other 3 boys who were awkwardly staring at the two of you, lucas about to open his envelope before max beat him to it.
“lucas!” his head shot up like a deer in headlights, “don’t open it now” you see her body tense, before she attempts to relax it.. unsuccessfully.
“max, listen-” you sigh.
“go make out with your boyfriend or something y/n and stop worrying about me” her tone edging between annoyed.. and something else, which you couldn’t yet decipher.
your cheeks heated, “eddie is not my boyfriend! and if you somehow forgot- he’s kind of a wanted criminal right now, hiding away somewhere” you scoffed.
“i never said eddie was your boyfriend..”
your eyes widened, and you heard dustin snickering to himself, trying to look busy, staring anywhere else but you.
“shut up dustin”
“i didn’t say anything” a wide grin covering his face, and a teasing tone to his words.

Only Friends, Sizzling or Fizzling?: Overall Series Review
I quite literally have so many thoughts on Only Friends that I don’t know when I’ll be able to put them fully into words. So this is going to be a disjointed list of my running thoughts.
This means that the following will be filled with spoilers. So if you haven't caught up, and don't appreciate spoilers, read with caution.
Tumblr media
How the friend group came out: I will say, I went into the show wishing the friend group would be destroyed with people going their own ways or at least the couples… Instead, we got Boston ostracized from the group with him meekly extending an invite for the rest of the group to meet him next new year in New York. Now, I’m not fully on the Boston-did-no-wrong boat, because I do think several of the things he did warranted apologies, but I also agree that he deserved just as many apologies back. I really wish the show had either gone the direction of everyone begrudgingly reconciling, the friend group completely destroyed, or at the very least truly acknowledging how they all hurt each other. But as much as the ostracizing of Boston left me with a bitter taste in my mouth, I guess the outcome mirrored reality. Friends band together when they all feel wronged and Boston had self-sabotaged his relationship with all of them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Boston and Nick: I’ve seen some murmurs about Nick was hypocritical about saying that Boston doesn’t have to change but still leaving him, but I wholeheartedly disagree. Nick loved Boston, knew how Boston was, but also let himself be taken by his own fantasies of a monogamous relationship. He even acknowledges to Sand that Boston was being fair with him... which I still think this is debatable, because I strongly believe Boston and Nick needed a whole conversation about non-monogamy long before Boston started making out with Boeing. I'm actually relatively happy that Nick and Boston didn't end up together, for both their sakes. Nick wanted and needed that monogamy from Boston, he realized that he would never get that from Boston. He may love Boston for who he is, but that doesn't mean that his love can overcome that need for monogamy. Meanwhile Boston doesn't want to be monogamous, even if he does want to be Nick's boyfriend. This was never going to be solved even with all the power of love. They had different needs and Nick wasn't willing to put himself through that pain of understanding Boston but neglecting his own needs, so he let him go. Now, my issue lies in the execution of getting to that point. Since the beginning of the last quarter of the show, Boston and Nick got incredibly sidelined. As a result, their story development suffered for it. I think we were lucky if we even saw them for about 5 minutes after episode 9, it almost felt as if the show didn't know how to reconciliate their story once Boston was out of the friend group. I don't think P'Jojo was intentionally going out to villainize Boston's non-monogamous preference (assumingly, based on his other works) and I don't think that fans are reading it as so are being deaf/illiterate, but rather the vagueness due to the lack of story-telling time that Boston's arc had really fed into it. Also, maybe it was just me, but the sense of time in the story felt incredibly confusing when watching these last couple of episodes. So Boston's admittance of self-sabotaging his relationships, asking to be Nick's boyfriend, then making out with Boeing feels like it all occurred with 72 hours; it gave me whiplash and made me disappointed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sand and Ray: Out of everyone, I'm the most satisfied with their outcome and journey to it, but even then I still have a little criticisms. First off, let me get the airplane out of the room: Boeing. I'm in the boat (unironically) that Boeing should have been introduced much sooner and have been utilized more to create the suspense of potential rift between Sand and Ray. Or even more development of Sand and Boeing before SandRay got together, because I swear the emotional stakes lagged for me, because I'm not sure why Sand would have even been swayed by Boeing when he had just confessed to Ray that he couldn't live without him either. I understood why Sand was so hostile with Top, but I'm not sure I understood BoeingSand as well. So this whole cockfight just felt needless and an attempt at a last bit of messiness, because how underdeveloped it was. Now Sand and Ray, as individual characters, I only have minor qualms about. I wish we had learned more about Sand's dad and Ray's relationship with his father. From what I've seen, there's so much context that was left out behind Ray's backstory, that it would have been nice to explore even 5% of it. Now we kept hearing about Sand's dad, but it just felt like a lost plot point. I wish we really had time to delve into Ray struggling with his addiction and rehab. Aside from those minor complaints, I'm happy with where we left them and I hope they're able to go around festival-to-festival with a lot of love and success in their future.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mew and Top: I have very little to talk about them, mostly because I skimmed through their scenes. Now this isn't because I think that Force and Book were bad in their scenes, because it was the exact opposite. They skeeved me out so incredibly much, that it was suffocating to watch their scenes. I wanted Mew to be more that a judgmental, holier-than-thou, character, especially when he stooped so low to revenge-porning Boston. I wanted him to acknowledge that he was just as nasty as he perceived Boston to be, but instead he always felt so sanctimonious and self-righteous that it was nauseating. With Top.... I wish we had gotten more towards his backstory with his fear of being alone due to the fire. It completely went over my head that the fire scene in the last episode was supposed to show that Top was finally able to handle his trauma better and that he was a better person because of Mew. His backstory was so little and came in just disjointed scenes, that I just made no connection and didn't come out of that scene with any emotion other than confusion. They came out of everything together... Not surprising. I have no comments neither positive nor negative towards that aspect.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cheum and April: Cheum was as aggravating as Mew for me. Self-righteous and I swear she didn't like anyone in her friend group other than Mew, and even that feels questionable. She had literally no faith in Mew being a grown adult and kept pulling Top around when Mew was going through a breakdown. I felt no love from her when it came to Ray, so I always wondered if their friendship was solely out of convenience. Then the final blow was with how she dealt with the Atom x Boston situation. I completely understood her initial reaction of believing Atom and even confrontation, as a sibling, I would also deck a friend if they SA'd and were lording over my sibling's head a nude picture. But the moment that she knew Atom was lying and she just hugged him? Yeah.... I lost most of the little respect that I had for her. Pity points for that tiny apology that she gave to Boston, because she was the only one that did so, but definitely was not enough for the accusations that she brought against him. ALSO! Her absolutely shit-talking April's passion and work to her friends? That's not lack of communication between April and Cheum, that was just so backstabbing of her. April is a better woman than I will ever be, because I will never have the patience to deal with a girlfriend that thinks so lowly of my work. April, I wanted so much more of our indie-film queen. I wanted more out of her relationship with Cheum, especially with that truth-bomb that Ray spilled out. I wanted both of them to do the hard work of saving their relation other than just sweeping it under the rug. I wish we had seen so much of her!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
P'Jojo and Vivienne: This is a tricky situation, so I'll be very brief on my thoughts, but I really hope these two never made it to Tumblr. Creators always getting involved with fandom spaces are always going to be difficult to navigate, this time around it seems that feelings were hurt and anger arose on both sides... Criticism of one's work will always be around and its more prominent the bigger the fandom is, which for most BLs, I think Only Friends was under a huge magnifying glass. It's nice to see staff interacting with fans about their work, but I do think there should be a line drawn. I'm not sure if their crossing of the line was for better or worse.
Final Thoughts: Anyways, this show will be missed because I did come out of the weekends enjoying the vast majority of it. I even have a couple of metas half-written, so maybe I'll get around to finishing those in the coming days. For a show that promised mess, it did deliver on that front, but I can't help but be sad that its coherence fizzled a bit towards the end. Maybe I'll come back to it in a year or two with a better appreciation of the vision, but for now... I'm mostly satisfied while also conflicted on what I think about the end. OH! And before I close this off... What the hell happened to the confessionals/talking head/asides? Why did we drop those off in the latter half?

So I'm writing a fic (slowly, ever so slowly) where Nancy and Ace finally have the talk they really, really need to have. Kinda about why this is so hard for them, when these are two people who have always understood each other extremely well. Behold my opinions (only my opinions!) below:
There are some very clear miscommunications going on here, and a lot of it is centered on both them being much more careful with the other's life than their own, and some pretty personal issues that existed before the advent of "Nace".
Namely, for Nancy, she is going classic Nancy. She is trying to lash out, she is trying to close him out, because she was and continues to be incredibly hurt, and because she thinks closing herself off to this will hurt less. Nancy has some significant abandonment issues, and Ace is the person who convinced her time and time again that she was worth it, that he would stay, and she actually so believed that he would. So him giving up, especially after he pushed her so hard to think they could solve it, I think is reading to her as Ace abandoning her like so many do, leaving her alone. He's making her feel like she's not worthy of fighting for, which is compounded by his unwillingness to try again and to accept needing space without a fight. She really seems to want him to fight for her, and it's likely really hurtful that he won't.
For Ace, this is also a lot of his own issues. Chiefly, he values her life a lot more than his own. Ace's self-esteem issues are big here. He really thinks a lot more of Nancy than he does of himself. He is absolutely willing to risk dying for her, but he is completely unwilling to have her die or be in any danger, particularly if this is his fault. He undoubtedly thinks of her as his great love, and by his perspective, he is sacrificing so much and giving up his chance at love to sit on the sidelines as he did before so that she'll be alive and happy. And that's such a huge sacrifice that he can't understand why she's angry at him. She also is a bit of a magnet to him. No matter how much he's hurting over her, he can't stay away from her, and he's certainly not willing to stop throwing his own life into danger to protect her.
Also, for both of them, they really don't seem to have considered the "you can't unring the bell" concept. Their relationship is forever changed after this, and as Nick pointed out, they were never only friends. Once they expressed what they feel, they can't shove it back inside. The relationship is never going to exist in the platonic iteration again, if it ever did. And for all the talk of space, and moving on, they really don't seem to be doing that. Nancy is passively allowing herself to be pursued by Tristan, Ace will likely get a one-episodeish love interest. But they are so soulmate-coded and unable to stay away from each other that I'm going to guess this won't last long. And if they could just TALK ABOUT THIS HONESTLY, they could sort a lot of this out. But now there's so much heartache and pain surrounding them, that they can't do what they've always effortlessly been able to do, and just talk to each other.

What is the relationship between Kuroda and Asami? And what does Kuroda think of Aki?
Most of what we know about their relationship is from the lite novel Finder No Souen. Which has not been officially translated into English but I have read a fan made translation so I’ll give you a run down of the events.
The events take place when both Asami and Kuroda are in high school, which they go to the same elite tokyo prep school. At the time, Kuroda is being bullied by a group of random street thugs who wait outside for him and beat him up, and threaten to hurt his sister. He is paying them off, to stop them and its kinda not working and they continue to extort money from him. He’s very ashamed but feels he can’t go to anyone for help, thinking the situation will only esculate.
One day while he is heading to the place where he usually meets the thugs to pay them off, he finds them in the middle of a fight— with Asami. Asami easily deals with them and Kuroda is watching it all from the sidelines in total shock. He recognizes Asami from his school but knows nothing about him. After Asami deals with the thugs he sees Kuroda but they don’t say anything to each other and Asami just leaves.
They kinda accidently meet again and Kuroda sorta just finds him to be cool. He notices when he hangs out with Asami the thugs stay away from him, so he feels very safe around Asami despite him hearing bad and mysterious rumors about Asami from fellow students. They start a kind of budding friendship, mostly because Kuroda follows Asami around. He goes to Asami’s work place — which is a bar that Asami works in. Asami cooks for him one time or makes him drinks, and Kuroda studies at the bar while Asami is setting up for the evening.
The major part of the story is that - Kuroda gets kidnapped by the thugs. It’s kinda a long story, but basically the thugs were targetting Kuroda in the first place because his dad, who is a Judge, was the one that put their buddy/older brother dude in jail. It was in revenge for that. But this buddy of theirs gets out of jail and immediately wants to take revenge so they kidnap him. It’s pretty graphic at that point…I won’t get into detail. But its very horrid and he’s trapped with them for a few days, and he gets drugged. Asami finds out and rescues him, and takes him back to his house where he nurses him for a few days.
Kuroda owes Asami his life. This is where his extreme loyality comes from, and why he semi- works for Asami. In that he leaks him information and does things that benefit Asami like cleaning up messes. We know that Kuroda had a hand in cleaning up what happen in Tokyo after Fei Long came and took Akihito. The details on that are kinda iffy but i would guess that Kuroda is corrupt and maybe destroys evidence or withholds evidence for Asami’s sake.
Kuroda is truly one of Asami’s only friends.
In No Souen everything is in Kuroda’s perspecitive and he thinks very highly of Asami, and sometimes notes…a little too often, about his attractiveness, and how otherwise amazing he is. It’s possible this relationship could have turned into a romance —or more likely turned into Kuroda having one sidely felt something. Which i am more inclined to believe because I do not sense attraction from Asami at all. Kuroda on one hand, becomes too tramatized after what happen so I feel any sense of romance maybe died for him — but he still felt immensely grateful and loyal towards Asami. On the otherside, Asami left before it could turn into anything, as Papa Asami basically blackmails Asami to return to his side after the events of No Souen.
We know Asami left Tokyo for a while after that, he became a mercenary for his fathers organization shortly after the events of No Souen and we dont know when he returned to Japan after however long he worked for his father. Maybe they didnt reconnect until Kuroda had finished law school and was starting to work as a prosecutor.
Now lets get to the second half of your question. What does Kuroda think of Aki?
Their meeting in vol 7 is very memorable! Kuroda was being super salty! I think he just wanted information out of Akihito and as a prosecutor he can be kinda sly about getting that information. When he’s originally grilling Akihito, its very clear to me that he knows very little about their relationship. Which makes sense because I dont think Asami is the type to gossip about that. Kuroda didn’t even know that they were living together — he only guesses and Akihito gets tricked into revealing that they are living together.
I think all of his questions were test. Kuroda is loyal to Asami, and wants to know who he is assoicating with and who he might be living with.
On the surface the rumors about Akihito Takaba make him out to be nothing more than a boy toy. But imagine hearing those rumors is probably confusing to someone like Kuroda who knows Asami very well. And knows how closed off Asami actually is, and how he doesn’t usually let people inside his life. Kuroda also knows about what happened in Hong Kong and he knows that Asami isn’t someone who would be rushing off to Hong Kong for just anybody— So he somewhat knows that Akihito is somebody to Asami.
That question he asks - “How much are you a night?” It was so bold and kinda crude! But he isnt looking for a real answer to that— he is only looking to see Akihito’s reaction! Is he going to get indignant? Is he gonna blow a fuse? Kuroda basically calls him a whore, and he wants to see how Akihito will react to that!
Well Aki being Aki just goes into completely shock and can’t respond properly at all. He goes bright red! Which I think is meant to tell Kuroda that aki is a total innocent— and that he is in fact not just Asami’s boy toy nor is he a whore.
That “answer” Kuroda recieves— It’s hard to know how he feels about it. But there is a small scene after he leaves that I think maybe says he’s a tiny bit jealous… When he turns away to leave he leaves behind a rolled up magaize. Which Akihito picks up and sees that Kuroda squeezed it so hard that he left finger marks. Which must have been made in the moment Akihito “answered”
I can kinda interpret that as being a little jealous, but maybe it is simply because he wants to hold the special title of being the “closest” to Asami — but that title is now being taken over by Akihito. I feel he holds no ill will against Akihito — he is not the same as Sudo in this situation. I think he is just confused by Asami’s reasoning for keeping Akihito around.
Because in his mind Asami doesn’t associate with people who don’t have “uses”. Kuroda is still useful to Asami because of his job and how he cleans up after Asami or gives him information. In a way, even though Kuroda is Asami’s friend their relationship is still somewhat transactional. He still recieves favors and gifts for helping Asami. This is his way of staying in Asami’s life is by proving his worth and his useful-ness. But in his mind Kuroda doesn’t understand what “use” Akihito has in Asami’s life.
Later when Kuroda meets Asami at his apartment, he is still making snide comments about Akihito. Calling him a “problem child” and other kinda of back handed things. He makes another snide remark to Akihito as he is leaving the apartment - “Iv already had my fill” which sounds very jealous too me! and almost like he is trying to gode Akihito into thinking Asami and him have a special relationship.
But Kuroda i think maybe warms up to him a bit, when he sees Akihito in action and sees he’s clever. He even outright explains to Akihito that he doesnt want people with “half-assed feeling” to get close to Asami. Meaning his entire behavior towards Akihito, is just his way of protecting Asami from people who might want to use him, and he maybe once considered Akihito to be that kind of person.
But I do think he realizes that Akihito is important to Asami. Kuroda is definitely the person who told Asami that Akihito was taken by Sudo, after Akihito was drugged in that underground brothel. Which is why Asami shows up at the right moment to shot at Aaron when he’s shotting at Suod, and Kuroda in the ware house. Kuroda is also the one that acted to find Akihito right away, and is the reason the police raid that warehouse and arrested Sudo.
I made another post awhile ago about that scene when Sudo gets shot, and how I think Kuroda came running to Akihito and took a bullet meant for him (x) Even though all his earlier bluster and treating akihito like a bratty kid. Even if he doesn’t particularly like it — he understand that Asami treats Akihito differently. And so Akihito is very important to Asami and that if Akihito gets hurt or killed — it would hurt Asami. In that moment I do think Kuroda showed he was very selfless when it comes to Asami, even if he found Akihito to be annoying or he doesnt really understand their relationship — he still wants Asami to be happy. And if this dumby bratty kid is the thing that Asami seems to find annoyingly important and is constantly protecting, then thats enough reason for Kuroda to also want to protect Akihito as well.

Family Quest
TTOS version of Tutorial Quest (Bonnie's friendquest) from ISAT
(Odile is standing here, seemingly consumed by her book.)
Loop: "Odile."
Odile: .... Odile: Oh, heyfrin. Odile: .... Odile: What do you want.
Loop: (...)
"Clocktower, sleepover"
"Worrying about tomorrow?"
"Anything weird happening lately?"
"Can I help you with anything?"
"Nothing!"
Odile: ...
(Odile seems to be contemplating you question.)
Odile: Don't you have anything better to do? Odile: ...No?
(Odile sighs heavily.)
Odile: Fine. I do need help with something. Odile: It might take a while, though...
Loop:
"I have time!"
"Maybe a bit later..."
Odile: Okay. Follow me, then.
(Odile brought you outside of Dormont.)
(There are some weak Sadnesses roaming in the distance.)
Odile: Loop. Odile: The reason I decided to let you help me is that you're less responsible than other adults.
Loop: (???) "What does that supposed to mean???"
Odile: Well, I think the others would be a bit against this. Odile: ...I need you to help me learn to fight.
(Oh!)
Odile: I know Boniface said I will be helping you tomorrow but... Odile: I want to fight. I don't want just just be on the sideline and shout mean things like I usully do. Odile: I mean, I know how to fight, just....
Loop: "What, too scared to face a Sadness on your own?~"
(Odile looks at you like she is going you use you as the first target for her training.)
Odile: No. Odile: ...Just.... To be safe, I need someone else here.
(That is fair. Would be kinda bad if Odile got hurt alone in this forest.)
(One of the Sadnesses approaches you.)
Odile: Look, I can show you!
(She immediately engages. You are forced to join.)
<BATTLE START!>
Odile: Scissors type. Well that's not good.
(Odile looks through her book...)
(TRISTESSE attacks!)
Odile: O-OW..!!!
(ODILE...!!!)
(Without hesitation, you strike)
<TRISTESSE is defeated.>
(You breathe in, and out.)
Odile: Nghhh....
Loop: (You can't help but yell.) "ODILE, BE MORE CAREFUL!!!"
Odile: Shut up, I am fine....
(You inspect Odile.)
(Miraculously, she doesn't seem hurt.)
(She is clutching her book too hard.)
Loop: "...I shouldn't have yelled." Loop: "Breathe with me?"
Odile: ....Okay....
(You breathe in and out, slowly, making sure Odile breathes with you.)
(You need to calm down, too.)
(Slowly, she relaxes her clutch.)
Odile: Hah..... Odile: .... Odile: Thanks.
(She gets up.)
Odile: Well, that didn't go super well.
Loop: "It did not, no."
Odile: ....I shouldn't have rushed into battle like that. Sorry, I guess.
Loop: "Wow, Odile apologising? That is a rare sight."
Odile: Shut up. Odile: ..... Odile: We should fight another one.
(You nod, and point to the nearest Sadness.)
(Odile nods in agreement.)
(You jump in.)
<BATTLE START!>
Odile: Okay, so...
(Odile looks at the hand of the Sadness.)
Odile: Oh, Rock type. Odile: Weak to Paper, which is my specialty, we are in luck.
(Odile smirks a little, preparing her book in advance this time.)
(You smile with your eyes, and take an attacking stance.)
<Exchanging blows with the Sadness, until it gives in.>
Odile: Heh. I'm pretty good at this, actually.
(You clap, trying to not do it sarcastically.)
(You breathe in, and out.)
Odile: That was fun, Loop. Thanks for assisting me.
(You've never heard Odile thanking you, either.)
(You decide to not mention it.)
Odile: ...
(Odile is looking up at you.)
(You look back.)
Odile: ....Why do you hide your face?
Loop: (HUH???) "Why are you asking?"
Odile: Because I'm curious and have never had a chance to ask you directly. Odile: Mirabelle, Isabeau and Boniface also don't know, so.... Odile: I mean, I have a myriad of questions about you, actually, but the face bugs me the most.
(Hm. Others have tried to ask you this in the past, but you never gave a clear answer.)
Loop: (And you're not gonna give one now.) "You'd be blinded by my beauty, teehee!~"
Odile: ...ew.
(She does smile a small bit, though.)
Odile: I don't believe you one bit, but I will get off your back, for now at least.
(....)
Loop: (Actually, you have a question yourself.) "What is that book you're carrying?"
(You always assumed it was a spellbook, but she seems to be writing in it as well. Also, it is way too big.)
Odile: Hah, as if I would just tell you.
(Well, was worth a shot.)
Odile: But you did help me, so maybe you deserve an answer.
(Oh!)
Odile: This is a familytale. You probably never heard of it, because you're not from Vaugarde. Odile: It's a book passed down in a family, and each generation writes their own stories in it.
(Oh! Interesting. So that is why she is writing in it.)
Loop: (But also...) "Wait, arent you from Ka Bue? Why do you have one?"
Odile: Oh, it's from.... my mother....
(Odile suddenly becomes sad.)
(No, no, no, you know why, she is an orphan, why did you--)
Loop: "Odile, I'm so sorry--"
Odile: No, it's fine. Odile: You couldn't have known. I haven't told this to anyone yet.
(Odile closes her eyes and takes a deep breath.)
Odile: It's okay. I promise. Odile: ... Odile: Actually, I have one more thing to ask of you. Odile: Always wanted to do it. Odile: High-five?
Loop: (?) "What?"
Odile: I defeated a Sadness just now. I think it's pretty appropriate.
(Oh.)
(You guess she is right.)
(You both take out your hands and do a high-five.)
Odile: Crab yeah!!!
Loop: "Crab yeah indeed!"
Odile: ....Should we fight another one, for good measure?
(You nod. Why not, right?)
(You spot the next Sadness and attack)
<BATTLE START!>
(You and the Sadness exchange blows.)
(This is different from usual.... You are not used to fighting outside anymore.)
(The ground is uneven, and there are stones and sticks everywhere.)
(Oop--)
(...You tripped on a branch.)
Odile: !!!
Odile: LOOP!!!
(The Sadness saw you fall, and is running towards you to attack!!!)
Odile: Oh no you don't!!!
(Odile strikes the Sadness with her book!)
<TRISTESSE is defeated.>
Odile: Ahh...Ah....
(You breathe in, and out.)
Odile: LOOP! LOOP, ARE YOU OK?!?
(Odile is breathing heavily.)
Loop: "I'm fine, Dile! I just tripped."
Odile: Are you sure?...
(You nod.)
Odile: ...You haven't called me Dile in forever....
Loop: (Whoops.) "Odile."
Odile: I didn't say I dont like it! Odile: ....Are you sure youre okay?
(You nod, again.)
Odile: ...Sorry. I just got scared. Odile: It reminded me of the.... last time.
Loop: (Last time?) "Last time?"
Odile: Yeah. Have you forgotten?... Odile: It was a while back. Odile: When you protected me against a Sadness, you know.
(Huh?)
(What Sadness does she mean? You don't remember...)
Loop: "Which one?"
Odile: Which one?!--
Odile: The one which got your crabbing eye, you--
(Oh!!!)
Odile: I knew it!! You did forget!! You crabbing-- augh!!!
(Odile seems to run out of insults.)
Odile: You think it doesn't matter that you got hurt! And you keep getting hurt because of it!! Because of me!!
(Right.)
(You remember, now.)
(It was after you all met Odile. Before she stopped talking to you almost at all.)
(She wasn't careful, and a Sadness was about to hurt her.)
(She is so frail. No one was close enough to do anything.)
(You are the fastest.)
(So you ran, and got in front of her, and...)
Odile: Why did you do it, Loop?!? Why did you protect me?! I don't understand!!! Odile: You could've just stayed put!! I could've taken care of it myself!! I would have been fine!!! Odile: But noooo, Loop thinks that I'm still a child!!! That needs to be protected from everything!!! Odile: And now you can't see from one eye!!! You bump into things and trip all the time!!! Because of me!!!-- Odile: You're such a crabbing idiot for thinking it doesn't matter!!!--
(Odile kicks a rock in frustration.)
(She seems very angry at you.)
(But--)
Loop: "It doesn't matter that much, though?"
Odile: It does, though!!! Odile: You got hurt because of me, and I don't like it!! Odile: And I don't want it to have happened!! You should've just stood there and let me take it!!!
Loop: "But you would have died."
Odile: Wha-- No I wouldn't!!! Odile: See, this is what I mean!! You treat me like I'm useless and can't do anything by myself!!
(Odile throws her arms up in frustration--)
(...!)
(Several pages of the familytale fly out and get carried away with the breeze.)
Odile: !!!
(Odile manages to catch one of the pages.)
Loop: "Odile, I'm so sorry, let me--"
(You almost start chasing after the pages, but--)
Odile: ...No, it is fine.
(Odile lets go of the page, letting it fly away with the rest.)
Loop: "Wait, but your familytale--"
Odile: It doesn't matter, Loop. Odile: Those were my mother's pages.
(?)
Odile: ...You know, I've never actually told you all what happened to my parents. Odile: Well, with my dad, it's pretty simple. He died when I was a still preteen. You probably assumed that. Odile: But.... my mother.... Odile: She abandoned me even before that. She never wanted to have a child. Odile: .... Odile: When-- When my dad died, I... couldn't stay in Ka Bue anymore. Odile: That country... My home... It carried too many bad memories for me. Odile: And I thought-- Maybe, I could live here. In Vaugarde. Odile: Where my mother came from. Odile: ....But, alas, this place also didn't feel like home. Odile: Makes sense, I guess. My mother hasn't left me with anything. No pictures, no letters, no last words. Certainly didn't make me feel connected to Vaugarde when she was with me. Odile: But.... she did leave one thing. Odile: This familytale. Odile: Passed down to me from my mother, and to her from her parents, and so on. Odile: And I thought maybe this was it! This could help me connect to this place! Reading my family's tales, reading about how they lived, their adventures... Odile: ...But I was wrong, still. Odile: I did not feel like I was in this family. Odile: My mother severed that connection from me. Odile: The people who wrote this book are strangers to me. Odile: I've even tried writing my own journey in here, but it always felt so...wrong. Odile: .... Odile: And then, after The Scary Lady took over this country.... Odile: I met you all. And it felt... different? Odile: Like I actually belonged in this group? Like this was supposed to happen all along? Odile: ...Only now I realised what it was. Odile: You all are my family.
(!!!)
Odile: I don't need to cling to my roots like that, they were never there, basically. But you all are here. Odile: And I care about you all! About Isabeau, about Mirabelle, about Bonbo-- Boniface!!! Odile: And I care about you, Loop! And I don't want you to be hurt, you crab! So stop pretending like it's all fine!!!
Loop: "Dile....." Loop: "Yeah, it's not fine that I got hurt." Loop: "But it has already happened. We can't do anything about it." Loop: "...But I can promise to try to not get hurt like this again."
Odile: .... Odile: Heh. Odile: I almost believe you, actually. Odile: .... Odile: Just.... let me help more. Not just you. The whole group. So no one has to get hurt this much.
(....)
(Despite you saying what you said, you can't promise that.)
(You would get hurt again.)
(If it meant that Odile is okay.)
(If it meant that everyone is okay.)
(But she knows this already. She is not just a child.)
(And because of that....)
Loop: "You can help. If you also promise to try to not get hurt."
Odile: ... Odile: Shake on it?
(??? Huh???)
Odile: Shake on it. Like all the, haha, important adults do.
(...)
(You let out a snicker and outstretch your hand.)
(Odile firmly shakes it, visibly trying not to laugh.)
Odile: Can't believe you actually did it, Loop. Odile: ...But I do promise. And I actually believe you. Odile: We won't get hurt. And the rest of us won't. If we try together. Odile: .... Odile: Heh, all this feelings talk has tired me out. Let's get back to the village, before I call you a crab again.
(You laugh and lead the way back.)

So, and I know this is kind of bad timing in June, but I can't deny any longer than Yang's character was seriously compromised after V5
This isn't really a scripted thing and I've not written analysis in a while, so forgive the loose formatting here, just something I needed to get out.
I think the overall issues can apply to more of the MCs than Yang, which I'll bring up later, but RWBY has an unfortunate tendency of resolving character arcs without much overlap with the plot, and Yang definitely gets it worse than most (and she's my favourite).
Back in V5, Yang was exploding with directions for her character and I think the writers worked hard to touch on all of them, from her recovery, to her growing mistrust of authority, to her issues with her mom, to her reconnecting with her team (and of course the deeper angst with Blake in that), but resolution for all of these largely fell short IMO. The last time she's even talked about the scheming of Oz was in V6 when she called him a bastard, Raven has never been mentioned or some up since V5, and I don't think she's even spoken to Weiss since their heart to heart in V5 outside of plot functional dialogue. The same can be said on her relationship with her sister, which, beyond her sacrifice in V8 and an unresolved conversation earlier in the volume about Salem and their mom, also haven't actually interacted with each other. The only thing really addressed was her lost arm, which was an extension of Bumblebey and closed off when they killed Adam in V6, a great fight with very little to do with the actual plot.
In V7 and 8, she's a complete third wheel, she talks with Robyn and fights the Ops in 7, and doesn't even get a fight in V8. Weiss certainly got it almost as bad, she was a bit more involved, but still not much given how this is her kingdom and her family that was so central to the plot. It's a condition of a bloated cast, which they've addressed a couple times, such as the start of V6 and all of V9 (though with their various guides, the girls don't make a lot of relevant decisions on the flow of that story either). It really did suck that we got to see Ruby's suicide through Yang's eyes, only for us to not see any of their reactions, and even when they see her it's all pretty surface level stuff (Yang even just repeats what Weiss tells her about Ruby).
My favourite scene in the whole show was her confronting her mom, I thought that was such a perfect direction for her character, tying together both her conviction to her family with her backstory of her mom to drive her arc forward in some unique ways, only to be sidelined in following chapters as her ship left port. And while this post isn't here to bash Bumblebey, I guess there's a bit of a warning that, since that was almost all of her drama and driving force for the last 4 volumes, with it canonized, I worry she'll only drift further away from the plot and her own unique character moments.
Wish I had some gifs or something to break up these paragraphs, but I'm just kind of vomiting out all these nagging issues that've been building up these last few years. Really does hurt to love a character like that and not see them utilized in the show
