So I did actually open twitter/reddit (a lot)

Unnecessary update/Clarification that I'm likely not dropping anyone: Yeahhh so remember when I went on that whole rant about staying off twitter? Well I lied lol. I'm pretty aware of everything that's happened now.

I've now *not* opened twitter all day and I plan on keeping it like that now since in my mind I think the controversies are basically resolvedish?

I've been debating sharing my opinions about everything here, but I don't think I'll get into it *that* much. At this point I think obsessing over situations that I can't change is just not helping me at all

Since I try to focus on dsmp characters here, this is probably gonna be my last post on the actual cc's for a while, but after my panicked post worrying about whatever was happening on twitter a few days ago (ironically made right before I spent the next like 3 or 4 days checking reddit/twitter A LOT) I felt like I should probably just update with my opinion about the *things*

I don't think I'm dropping anymore cc's.

I dropped Wilbur after he was exposed for being an abusive piece of shit, but that's just not the case with either of the newer situations

Punz seems to have been in a pretty mutually toxic relationship and there seems to be a lot of hurt and insecurity there, and I think his first response made that all pretty clear.

Gogy idk tbh. Researching the Caiti situation is making me think back to something that happened when I was 16 that I like to not think about. So since I'm not researching that very much, I've decided I'm just gonna give that one time and see what other people decide to do, and it seems most people here think it was more of a misunderstanding, so that helps. Honestly, I already didn't watch Gogy by himself and would really only interact with stuff he was in if other cc's were there, so I'll probably just keep doing that

Anyway, one thing for sure is I feel really bad for all the cc's involved in all this. They're clearly not doing very well and I think basically everything they've done in the last few days has made that obvious... I mean Dream had a mental breakdown on his space :/

So uh yeahhh there's my opinion about all this. I don't really think any of the cc's who've been 'exposed' as of late are like actually shitty people unlike the revelations with the Wilbur situation, so for now I'm gonna keep supporting them as much as I was before

I plan on actually getting off twitter and reddit for a while now since this week of being on it has really brought me nothing but stress and I doubt anymore helpful information is gonna come from either of those sources. Twitter is just kinda always a shithole anyway

So uh, yeah, there's my rant, I'm going back to my brainrot about the characters now. Ty for reading lol

Instead of pushing the idea that aspec people can be "normal like allos" we should instead be trying to normalize aspec experiences. Yes aspec people can be normal because aspec identities are normal. Some aros fall in love. some aces have sex. but they should not be the only valid aspec experiences. We should not use these experiences to make the aspec identity more palatable to amatonormativity and allos.
