I've seen posts before about Spooky and people say he'd pull out a gun and start swearing when he's jealous and really show his ass but honestly? I don't think that's accurate

I haven't watched OMB in a hot minute and Netflix is being some hoes rn so forgive me if I'm wrong but wasn't he incredibly patient?

He was patient with Cesar and with Cesar’s friends. I don't recall him ever losing his temper and going insane besides season 4 when he heard people fucking shit up outside

Spooky gives me the silent jealous type. Silent but also petty

Like if you came back to him after talking to a guy he'd say some petty shit like “thought you'd be around him all day”

“That's your man now, right?” “Stop being childish”

You could tell when he's jealous though cause you'd feel him staring at you the whole time

I could also see him clearing his throat loud as hell if you're nearby to both get your attention and introduce him to whoever it is you're talking to

It's gotta be a guy he doesn't know cause realistically what Santo is dumb enough to flirt with you?

I feel like I'm expected to say he'd have this huge outburst but Oscar doesn't give me that vibe. He's pretty patient and I think especially if y'all have been together for an extended amount of time, he'd feel secure enough to know you won't do some foul shit

I feel like someone touching you would cause him to immediately get involved. He'd walk over and physically take their hand off of you while pulling you closer to him or behind him

And let's be real, no one is dumb enough to try shit with him. He's 6’1 and known as the leader of the Santos

But if someone did try him because they're drunk or whatever, I feel that even though he's jealous he'd still put your safety first. His jealousy would go to the back of his mind and he'd try to get you out in case shit gets intense

Another situation he'd step in is if you're visibly uncomfortable. Typically if someone's flirting with you, he knows you can handle it but if you're so obviously uncomfortable then he'd step in and get you away

I feel like if you're dating Oscar your safety would go over everything so while he's still a man and wants to play all big and bad in whoever's face, getting you away is his biggest priority

“Are you jealous?” “Should I be?” “No” then he'd nod or smth

Now let's say you're hanging around a new guy a lot. Would he get jealous? Probably. He's a guy.

This is a different situation ‘cause he's not seeing anything. He can't pull you away. What does he do?

Short answer; nothing. Long answer; he doesn't seem like the type to be so jealous he'd snoop on your phone or follow you because relationships require trust and if you caught him, you'd be upset. I could see him asking questions about the guy and then denying he's jealous ‘cause “I have nothing to be jealous about”

And it's like??? Are you telling me that or telling yourself that?

Over time it'd become obvious he's feeling a certain way. You'd say you're gonna hang out with whoever the guy is and he'd just make a “mmm” sound instead of actually responding

“Something wrong?” “I didn't say anything” “Exactly”. Eventually it'd come out though

And the idea of him flirting with someone else to make you jealous comes up but I don't think that'd happen. He hardly has any relationships besides his gang which means he hardly has any close relationships. He has the kids, who he's like an older brother too (or literally an older brother to) and Mario (and we don't know how much they interact) so I don't see him risking a relationship just to be on petty shit

He'd say smth petty but flirting with someone else just as payback for some shit you can't control? Nah

You could probably calm him down easily just by being near him. Making jokes about him being jealous would help also because it's you acknowledging that you see how he feels without having a sappy ass conversation

I feel like this is so anticlimactic and disappointing but realistically I don't see him flipping his shit. He's 19-25, which could make him a bit immature but 1) he's grown up quickly so I think he can handle his emotions. 2) He has two strikes already. He's not popping his shit and risking life in prison because he was jealous. And 3) he knows you know where home is.

He gets jealous, sure, but all those reasons stacked together makes him act calm, only getting somewhat aggressive if someone is touching you or making you uncomfortable. He’s more petty than anything

Quick story time. So I got away from my abusive dad when I was 13-14, right. I was also obsessed with Spooky. Tell me why my therapist said “I think you love him so much because he’s a strong and scary guy and in your head he’d protect you if your dad came back for you”. The way I almost blocked her-

Lyney bit his lip, watching intensely as your crimson blood ran down the tip of your finger, dripping onto the ground by his feet with the quietest of splashes that rang much louder in his trained ears. He didn't want to hurt you, but his sharp teeth ached for a taste...just a drop, "Lyney? You okay? You're not one of those people who faints at the sight of blood right?"

His violet eyes, now tinted with a bright red, met yours...scanning your lips and neck, all the way back to your small cut, "I...please forgive me mon amour.." You gave him a curious look, about to question what on earth he had done that needed to be forgiven, when his hand grabbed your wrist, his tongue sliding across your finger, licking your blood away while you watched completely shocked and blushed.

"L-lyney?!?"

Just that little bit had his mind dazed, never in his life had he tasted something so incredible as you before, it was like he'd broken away from his normal self, became a beast as pulled you close to him and kissed you roughly, hands sliding up your body in haste. "Let me have more of you my love~"

𑁍༄Albedo: (~Vampire~)

Albedo wasn't sure what had changed in him, what had made your lips taste like candy...so addictive he couldn't get enough, what had changed his normally gentle touches into harsh ones that made him seem more and more desperate for you, what made his sharp teeth cutting your bottom lip open seem like a spark to starting a lustful fire.

He lifted you onto his desk, your thighs wrapped around his waist tightly as sucked on your tongue and drank up every single drop of your delicious blood as if he had been starved, the kiss only growing more heated as he groaned into your hot mouth. He needed more, but it was already taken everything in him to not move to your neck, he was getting to excited, he should pull away...

"D-dearest maybe we s-shouldn't-" He pulled away in a attempt to calm himself, but you didn't let him leave you long enough to even finish his sentence, your hand gripped the front of his shirt, pulling him back into the kiss...he'd started it after all~

𑁍༄Xiao: (~Grim Reaper~)

You touched Xiaos cheek, the thick fabric of his hood rubbing the back of your hand as if it was reminding you what he was...a collector of souls, someone who could end your life at any moment. His touch could even potentially be dangerous to you and yet here you were, standing by cemetery in the middle of the night with him, hoping to have just one of his poisonous kisses.

"You shouldn't....we shouldn't be together. I'm... not good for you..." He tried to persuade you to leave, wanting nothing more than for you to be safe, his grip on his scythe tightening protectively, but your lips met his anyway. It was like the rest of the world faded away, fog gathering at your feet and the full moon shining down on you as his free hand wrapped around your waist...this was a risk you simply had to take.

"You're going to be the end of me..."

𑁍༄Neuvillette: (~Siren~)

You felt almost dizzy, following what seemed to be the voice of a angel that sung to you, calling you to them with every verse. How had you ended up in a cave in the dead of night...sea water swishing around your feet and the cold making your whole body shiver, why were you still going forward...

"Well look at you, aren't you a beautiful being, please come closer~" The voices abrupt change in pitch had you frantically searching around until finally you caught sight of him, long white hair flowing all the way to the ground, his body mostly exposed with only ocean items used as clothing...however what had you truly entranced were his bright almost glowing eyes that lingered on you almost threateningly.

You couldn't run away even if you wanted to, your legs carrying you closer to him, making you kneel in front of him while he smirked slightly. "How long has it been since I had a play thing as goregous as you, I wonder if you taste as good as you look..." He curled a finger under your chin, forcing you to look up at him while his lips met yours...it was cold but you couldn't get enough. Whatever spell he had put on you...was more than working...

Touchstarved LIs and Fanfiction AUs They Should Be In

Haven't been able to stop thinking about the people who said Ais is "always the tattoo artist in tattoo shop/flower shop AU". I don't even like tattoo shop/flower shop like that but it was such a correct thing to say and I have to acknowledge that. So here's that plus AUs I've seen that I think the LIs should be in.

Ais

Flower shop/tattoo shop, as mentioned. This one is TOO good. Come ON. Ais as the hot-ass owner of the local tattoo shop? Him listening to your idea for a tattoo and then smoothly and easily inking it into your skin and telling you you're good when you don't cry? I don't even need to explain this one. It makes sense in like every way.

NASCAR/Formula One AU. The idea of him getting out of that car sweaty as hell in the full racing suit after crushing a track record? Like, taking off the helmet and shaking his hair out and looking like he couldn't give less of a shit about winning first place? Yeah. I am not immune to vroom vroom

Mermaid AU but he's a bull shark or an octopus, not a fish. IDK if I want his claspers or his tentacles more, but either way he should be lurking in the briny deep and protecting me from the real ocean monsters and threatening to eat me even though he probably doesn't mean it, probably.

Vere

Magic/Witches AU. - C'monnnn, he's already so witchy! He's got the sleeves and everything. And yes I know TS already has magic in it, but you know what I mean. He, like, lives in the spooky forest and the people of the village are deathly afraid of him, but you need his magical help, so against the wishes of family and friends you seek him out. And he forces you through a series of dangerous illusions as a trial and, when you successfully pass them, finally agrees to help you for a price...

Royalty AU as either the capricious king of a powerful nation or that king's advisor, formal or informal (smart concubine). I've never seen Game of Thrones but that kind of castle politics, shadowy backstabbing shit seems right up his alley.

Modern AU as an artist: I already talked about this with Vere as an artist and game dev, but I think it'd be so funny if Vere was just sitting in a coffee shop (local, Starbucks is below him) trying to finish his commissions in peace because his roommate(s) are annoying and/or distracting. Honestly, Vere would also rock as a modern AU witch, like urban fantasy type.

Leander

Barista/Bartender AU. He's so extroverted and congenial I have to put him in a drink service AU. He definitely has a "time to mix drinks and save lives" type of work ethic behind the counter. He remembers regular customers and their drink orders, he is LIBERAL with discounts, and he leaves little notes to the people he thinks are cute.

Serial killer AU. I am so basic and even though I have no desire to watch or listen to true crime now, I was raised on the Investigation Discovery Channel and I've never lost that. Look at his fucking face. He's asking for it to be covered in blood. Even better if this is combined with the above AU and he's a sweet server by day and a ruthless murderer by night but he keeps the same wide, pleasant, and genuine smile on because both things are things he loves to do. Even BETTER if he has an obsession with one of his regulars and starts killing people around them in an attempt to get closer with them.

Theatre AU. Siiiighs. Yeah, I'm a theatre kid. And I just know this guy would be one of those actors who wants to be a mentor/older brother figure for any new troupe-members. He's walking you through all the vocal warmups. He's offering to help you run lines. He's driving you home after rehearsals. He is a triple threat, but he doesn't prefer musicals because he doesn't like singing in front of an audience (even though he's an amazing singer). And I just know props absolutely hates him because he keeps touching shit that isn't his.

Kuras

Hospital AU and Angels/Demons AU is too easy. Instead, I'm giving him the flower shop owner in flower shop/tattoo shop AU. Anyone here like KurAis? Anyways, I think it would be sweet to have him be the super-tall, kind but a little awkward and very knowledgeable owner of a flower shop. He probably enjoys crafting bouquets that have meaning in flower language. And yes, he knows about the nice meanings and the rude meanings, so you can get a "fuck you" bouquet from Kuras.

Detroit Become Human AU as an android. I barely remember D:BH but it was one of the first things that occurred to me when thinking about AUs for Kuras. Maybe because he'd be the kind of android who was like, "Don't worry, I'm not a real person, it's okay if I get shot repeatedly," and wouldn't understand why someone would be concerned about him anyways.

Elementary school teacher/single parent AU but I don't know if I want him to be the teacher or the parent. Do I want him to look after a group of children, making efforts to understand their silly little words and communicate with them so they learn and feel cared for? Or do I want him to be the struggling single parent who is so happy to see their child finally getting the attention they deserve outside the house? IDK, but I'd be happy either way.

Mhin

Superhero AU. They're kinda already halfway to superhero gear with the hood and the cape and the tight pants, but I think it be cool for them to dart from rooftop to rooftop, saving civilians and fighting crime. IDK if it'd be cooler if they were half-hero half-villain (controlled by their bird-monster side and wreaking havoc) or if it'd just be nice to have a crow hero motif. Anyway they save me and I'm a reporter who uses my reporter contacts to try and track them down not knowing they're actually my upstairs neighbor who I bring shepherd's pie and strawberry cupcakes to sometimes.

The other tattoo artist in tattoo shop/flower shop. You know how there's always some other character working in one or both of the shops? Ayeah that's Mhin. Number one, I think it'd be hot if they had tattoos. But even if they don't they're still hot when they give the tattoo because focus and skill are attractive. They're talented enough that Ais keeps them around even though they hate him. They never talk to him even though he's their boss. Over the course of the fic Mhin and Ais get closer b/c Kuras is friends with both of them and he wants them to like each other.

Angel/Demon AU as an angel because I want them to be corrupted :) I want them to be forced to submit to their own worst impulses :) and eventually realize that being evil makes them feel good and more importantly liberated and in control :) also maybe they can get wrecked by a demon please :)

Aaaand the DLC cast gets one as a treat!

Sen

Pacific Rim AU but PLEASE don't ask me why. I don't even REMEMBER Pacific Rim. But the clarity with which I could imagine Sen in a Pacific Rim AU is startling. She's gruff and she doesn't want to partner up with you, a rookie, but somehow you have perfect chemistry in the mech she doesn't want to acknowledge. She's too reckless out of disregard for her life, and you reel her in; you're inexperienced, and she fixes your mistakes. Then one day she starts to notice that she's guarding her own life more fiercely than ever before...because of you.

If that's not what Pacific Rim is about shhhh don't correct me /j

Elyon

Easy answer is pornstar/industry AU or camming AU but I'll never take the easy way out. And I know we don't know shit about the guy but I think reincarnation AU would kinda hit with him. His promo talks about wanting things money can't buy? Like possibly the ability to save his soulmate from dying and forgetting him over and over while he retains the memories of every life they've both shared and lived separately, as friends, lovers, enemies, and strangers? That would go hard imo.

I would love to request an Child ghost!reader and the gang, basically child reader got murdered when they were using the VR and their soul got stuck into the game.

Their soul being so GORY AND DISTORTED, like an arm is missing, one eye is like hanging out and their head has an hole. Reader can get invisible like a ghost and move things with only their mind, and they are very quiet and just observes, rarely get mad or anything, but when they snap (for example: Because of jax's pranks) they start throwing things around dim the lights and scream, and lets put like, Reader's screams are like LOUD as hell, basically like an ghost tantrum.

So basically Child reader is just an sad messed up lil goof who needs comfort and therapy.

going to take a different approach to writing this one, since i feel bad about being selective of cast/multi characters today, so! rather than having divided segments like usual, its going to be a group thing! hope thats alright! going to be the last request of this batch them imma make something to eat rq for dinner then get back to writing YAHOO!

when you joined the digital circus, you were already very obviously different from the rest of the gang. even if your gore was toned down thanks to your body being digitized; the programming seemed to struggle with altering your body into something unique... strange... it also seems your body is fighting back against the programming of the world, seemingly trying to restore itself. The effect makes you almost look like you're glitching, or even abstracting

Caine doesnt immediately pick up on your presence, i feel like its in his programming to be aware when a new member joins the circus, but for some reason he didnt notice you until he saw you, or someone brings you up to him

It was Ragatha, who was trying to get answers from him. Who's kid was this? Is it really fair to let a kid be stuck here? Obviously she knew Caine couldnt do anything about it now that you were here, nor did he have any hand in you putting on the headset.

Except... you correct them and say you didn't put on any headset, you were trapped in it.

Of course you're trapped, just like the rest of us, Jax says

None of them immediately believe you try to tell them you're a ghost. Except of course, Kinger, who reasons that that's why you look the way you do; and Gangle, who in my opinion probably finds interest in the supernatural.. or maybe that's just me projecting onto her. Who knows. But the point still stands, almost everyone doesn't believe you.

Not long after, Jax accidentally ropes you into prank that was originally intended for Zooble, I dont think Jax would go as far as to bully a child.... well... actually no, he seems like the type to bully kids on roblox.

The prank wasnt planned for you, you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. You open a door, and are immediately greeted with a fake snake lunging out at you. You scream, more so out of surprise and fear than anger. It does turn into anger when Jax laughs at you, still finding some kind of joy from the prank getting at least someone. Your scream rises, causing nearly everyone to cover their ears, the rest were not there in the room but would come rushing to see what the hell was going on

I think it would be that instance as well as a few other; namely ones where you became invisible and started removing one of Zooble's limbs after they (unintentionally) said something a little too mean to you. The idea of you being a ghost was further cemented when both Gangle and Ragatha watched you literally phase through a wall. But hey at least someone (Jax) starts laying off of you when it becomes clear you weren't lying

There's mixed feelings, a lot negative. I mean, you're just a kid and you're. Well, a ghost. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to come to the conclusion that something happened to you. Whether or not you remember the details of your death when you became a ghost, or after joining the digital world, is all up to you

Caine, as mentioned before in posts where the reader is a child, tries to be a father figure. He's not the best, since he's programmed to be a ring master, but he definitely tries his best. I like to think he tries to read you bedtime stories when the digital world simulates 'night'

Pomni, who I totally didn't forget, tries to overcome her fear of you and your ghostly powers, ultimately becoming sympathetic you and your situation. Not only was your life cut short, but you were trapped here too, you didn't even get to roam the world in the afterlife. Interactions with her are awkward but there's an effort to try to bring you some form of comfort

Jax, after he stops pulling jokes on you cant deny that he doesnt find you creepy. I think, though, he would ask you if you want to help him scare some of the other members. Whether you be offended by the concept or not is also up to you, since I'm not sure if you wanted the reader to be sensitive regarding their current predicament or not

Ragatha goes into full big sister mode, even before it's confirmed that you're a ghost. Sure, she's a little put off by your ganky and gorey looks, but her heart aches for you. Similar to Caine she tries to do general child care activities with you, perhaps if you let her, she would do your hair and make you dresses

Kinger will take a while to warm up to you, but I think after some time would start to open up to you, usually it's best to interact with him when he's already in a calmer state. He already gives me dad vibes that I cant pin down... but he would tell you stories of his past (in house) adventures and some funny stuff that has happened over his time in the digital world

Zooble is going to need a moment to get over the invisible dismemberment thing... as well as Zooble being Zooble and needing some time to warm up to people in general... Not much to be said, yet...

Gangle would offer to lend you some art supplies... kids like arts and crafts stuff, right? Thats her logic, at least, and if it means you have an outlet for your emotions then that would be great!

Overall you now have a funky found family, so hey, at least things aren't totally... terrible.. Unfortunately with them stuck in the digital world they can't do much to get you justice, if you let them know you were murdered. But rest assured if your killer somehow gets trapped in there with them and you recognize them, they have your back

The Butlers apprentice AU

Dc x Dp au 1. uwu

ok so like Alfred is like Dannys Great Grandpa or something I really don't care tbh.

At a Family reunion Alfred raising and beeing surrounded by detectives quickly picks up that Danny when close to his parents seems uncomfortable especially when they talk about ghosts and the manece Phantom. As the reunion goes on he notices that danny at times would seem to walk a little too silent to be normal. Upon asking Danny about his oppinion on Phantom out of his parents ear shot he praises the hero and states that he is nothing like his parents make him seem etc. etc.

Some time later when danny is around 17, maybe at a different reunion or even the same Alfred wittneses Danny transform and is explained by him and Jazz the situation. Danny procedes to vent about wanting to move out but not wanting to leave family so Alfred procceds to offer him a room at the manor. Danny is hesistent on taking the offer at first. But after a too close call with the GIW and his perents as well as encouragement from Jazz and his friends he gives and goes to live in the menor under the condition, that he doesn't want to just mooch of of his great Grandpa. So he starts his Butler apprenticeship in the Wayne Manor, where he procedes to learn how to properly cook without the food coming to life, keep up in housework and everything a butler needs to know.

The best part Danny seems incredibly efficient within an hour he can have the entire manor from a litteral bomb exploded here to sparcling clean you could eat from the floor. Danny was entrusted with the secret identeties of the Batfam as well as the batcave.

Bruce was first did all type of reseche of course not just anyone even family of Alfred could just know about their after dark affairs noting that beside the ghost hunter parents and not exactly good grades, Danny was a normal 17 something year old however upon the reveal Danny did not seem surprised at all. How?

"I found the cave like a month ago what do you mean it is hard to find? If we didn't dust it as regularly as we do it would be as obvious as hanging a sign"

Bruce then insits that Danny needs to get some training on self defence and fightling so he doesn't pose too big risks in existing on Wayne manor. Bruce is suprised that Danny is actually able to hold his own in a fight, so after some more reserch he makes the connection that Danny is Phantom.

Danny likes Tim he is a smart dedicated vigilante guy that somehow reminds him of his early days in the way of how little sleep he gets and just doesn't take care of himself all that much. Danny swore to himself to make sure that Tim takes more care of himself and if he goes a little spooky to do so so be it

Tim is certain that something is up with Danny but just can't put a finger on what and it is driving him mad even more now that Bruce seems to trust him. Danny does impossible tasks that just no one seems to aknowlege. Like sneaking him a coffe when he needs to actually survive the day without sleeping in between somehow danny's coffe just works better than any other he can get anywhere else. Danny seems to also be adament on Tim taking breaks and sleeping. Joy.

Danny the menace he is puts his whole chaos energy into confusing the sleep deprivied Tim with the goal to ultimately get him to sleep. What could convince Tim that he needs more sleep? :

-Danny walks by tim 4 times always coming from a Room that has no other exit or enterece what is so confusing? it is on the second floor and after exiting he doesn't enter the room again

-He would at times just fade out of view as if he was never there

-Sometimes he would invisibly follow him around and move things just so slightly that it could be just be his imagination or sleep deprived brain making stuff up

(-Danny also gives Tim 'coffee' when asked because when Danny makes it he can actually survive the rest of the day without getting tired danny won't share his secret on how he does it ( it is totally ectoplasmd) )

After each confrontation on how he does these things Danny denyies everything and tells him: "I am just one hell of a butler. Now go to bed"

Dick and Danny upon fist meeting could only be considered imediate sibling adopion or whatever as well as a ever since frequent pun off

I also imagine that damien would spar with danny at first because danny wanted to teach damien some respect for others and damien because he couldn't let it stand that a freakn civilian can beat him in something like fighting when he was training since he was basiclly just a todler.

As time passes Damien gains Respect for Danny and sees him as a Rolemodle as well as something close to a cousin.

Damien knows of Danny beeing a halfa, they agree to not tell Tim until he figures it out himself

Now half a year into the whole buttler thing, Jason and Danny meet the first time

Danny feels sick something in here smells rotten it makes him sick what is this horrible smell where did it come from he house is clean the kitchen is freshly cleanded and the trash taken out there is no reason for this foul of smell to exist anywhere near the manor that is when he sees Alfred talking to someone with a white streak in their hair.

"Danny why don't you join us? This is Master Jason. Master Jason this is my Grandson Danny"

"It is a pleasure to meet you" Danny states moving further into the kitchen the smell gets worse but wanting to be polite he still holds out his hand for a handshake

"Hi" Jason greets shortly shaking dannys hand but upon contact jason freezes as invisible energie seems to surrouned Danny it is familliar and comforting and suddenly Jason feels incredibly light he could fly if gravety didn't still exist but man did it feel debatable right now Jason holds Dannys hand a little longer then most would consider normal all while danny seems to look right into his soul some form of understanding within his eyes

"A friend of the other side it seems, I still got (insert task) to do, nice meeting you and we defenetly need to talk, till later"

just like that danny is out of view and after a short transformation out of sight, man does he reek of corrupted ectoplaslm he gave him a little of his own throu his hand shake to lessen the smell but it still smelled so strong

Meanwhile Jason looks to where danny left the room hoping he would return he suddenly felt so safe and the Pits have never been this quiet before forget quiet they are silent for the first time in years jason can think entierly clearly and relaxed

he defenetly needs to visit more often and get Dannys number

I saw this post a few weeks ago that was like a chart from a psychology text that described how different sorts of childhood trauma can produce different dysfunctions, one of which was (I *think*) Emotional Neglect -> Magical Thinking. I was so intrigued by that. Magical thinking is sort of an umbrella term for the belief in a causal relationship between two unrelated factors; it can include wishing on a birthday cake candle; the feeling that The Universe is telling you to call your ex because something reminded you of them; OCD-type rituals that you believe will ward off misfortune; the deeper meanings mis-assigned to mundane events that can be produced by schizo-affective disorders; and also religious convictions to some degree, although those are rarely considered a clinical problem as with anything that helps or doesn't seem to hurt the participants. There seem to be as many potential causes of magical thinking as there are forms of the thought pattern itself, and trauma is an interesting one.

It might be better to think of "trauma" as "helplessness" here. Magical thinking can help impose a feeling of organization where there is chaos and loss of any sense of significance. There was a lot of magical thinking going around in the gritty, depressed town where I'm from, and I often thought it was because of the persistent economic pressure. It's relatively normal for kids to be susceptible to spooky ideas, but many of the adults were also full of ghost stories and superstitions. I have one very sensible friend who is smarter than I am, who grew up there too, and we often reflect on this, which helps me know that this isn't strictly an idea I have due to my own social choices. My friend doesn't live in that town anymore either, but she's always digging up interesting stuff related to it, and one day she showed me the website of someone there offering his services as a paranormal investigator. He was in his 20s, and the site included a lot of unconvincing photos and a long, vigorous testimonial by the guy's mom. Part of me was dying to put it on tumblr, but it would only have resulted in unnecessary cruelty. I was as much a victim of magical thinking as anybody, and I think even when I was pretty young I was aware of what motivated me to be so naive and gullible: that a world full of ghosts and vampires and UFOs and such was preferable to what I normally experienced, which was a consistent sense of boredom and meaninglessness and drudgery and embarrassment and pain and suffocation in an ugly, flavorless universe whose nicer side was not going to be available to me. I had a lot of really damaging friendships with manipulative assholes and pathological liars because I was so very willing to believe the crazy things they told me, just in case any of them were true, because such a truth could change my whole life.

Sometimes I think it's amazing that I never wound up in a cult, although I guess those relationships were sort of like little one- or two-person cults. Once in a while I read about some crime involving young people who think they're vampires or something, and I have a deep feeling of pity, because I think I know what they were going through (except for the part where they think they can do whatever they want to other people). The sad story of Shanda Sharer involves a whole group of badly abused and underprivileged teens, some of whom thought they were witches or vampires, and it just makes so much sense to me that they would be overtaken by these fantasies of secret meaning and power. Recently I watched Bad Vegan on Netflix, something that I avoided at first because I thought it was just about rich douchebags humiliating each other--which is like, what else is new--and to some degree it is, but actually it's way more disturbing than that. Ambitious young raw food entrepreneur Sarma Melngailis was manipulated, isolated, and ultimately kidnapped by this sadistic freak who preyed first on her loneliness and financial fears by pretending to be a rich suitor who could solve all of her problems; then he preyed upon her feelings of personal insignificance and failure by convincing her that he and she had been selected by a cabal of extraterrestrial illuminati who would make them immortal. Sarma seemed completely broken down to me, and I was amazed by her courage in describing the scam she fell for, that she must have known would invite derision. Part of the documentary explores her youth as a kid who always believed she could become something special, and then mundane tragedies like her parents' divorce brought her back down to earth in a painful way, and it seemed like she spent the rest of her life haunted by the idea that she might just be an ordinary failure of a person. I think that's part of what made her so vulnerable to this psychopath, that he was able to access her secret dream of having a special destiny. I got one of my friends to watch the show and she was very frustrated by it because she just couldn't figure out what Sarma's problem was that would cause her to ever believe the things she was told. I tried to reiterate what I've said here, but it didn't seem to mean anything. Ironically this friend is a practicing witch with formal beliefs in the supernatural, including that people can awaken special powers within themselves, but I guess one man's magical thinking is just um not another man's magical thinking.

I still have a lot of magical thinking going, but it doesn't have the same character it once did. I tend to think of it more as "symbolic thinking"; I have a hard time accessing senses of meaning and hope, let alone any kind of self-belief, and sometimes symbolic gestures and concepts can provide that access better than my own direct, practical attempts ever could. It helps that I have a basic agnosticism about the invisible structures of the world, like it's easy for me to believe that there is more to life than what comes in through the five senses, even if I don't pretend to know entirely what that "more" is. That may help me believe that "anything is possible" and I shouldn't give up, even if I direly want to and I know I'm being kind of irrational. Magical thinking can be a double-edged sword, but maybe it's better than nothing.

Halloween headcanons 🎃🦇🕸🕷

Going thru a few of devon's characters and guessing what they'd be getting up to on Halloween

#1 Adam

He's most likely taking you to some frat party, nothing too special, but he does dress up - well kinda. He puts a little fake blood around his mouth, says he's a vampire and calls it a day. Halloween is more about the parties than the spooks for him.

#2 Freddy Klein

Halloween is a business opportunity for him, knowing that parents are gonna be taking their kids trick or treating, he organises a few spooky games and refreshment to try and get their attention to the dealership. You help the kids play games like bobbing for apples, while Freddy tries to sell cars to their parents. Once the night is over, the two of you celebrate some successful sales wrapped up on the sofa with a couple of beers.

#3 Casper Galloway

Casper HATES Halloween, he's a big scaredy cat. Even the doorbell ringing from trick or treaters makes him jump out of his skin. He's still pretty freaked out from the whole zemon thing, so you go out of your way to distract him on Halloween. You order a pizza and snuggle up in bed to watch anything other than a horror film - he usually picks a rom com because let's face it, this man is a huuuuge softie.

#4 Mike (rip picture quality)

You and Mike go to great lengths to make Halloween fun for Angel. You carve pumpkins together, make her a little boo basket and take her trick or treating. You let her stay up an hour past her bed time on Halloween, so she can watch a spooky film for kids, like monster House. Once she's been put to bed, you and Mike split a bottle of wine while watching a classic horror film and fall asleep on the sofa together.

#5 Dean Taylor

According to Dean, Halloween is just an excuse to go out and raise hell without getting in trouble. He's been known to graffiti people's houses, set people's bins on fire and even mug drunk party goers. He's kinda an ass.

Where are you while all this is going on? You're at home none the wiser, waiting for him to get back so you can watch a movie together. You're under the impression that he's just out getting some snacks.. but now he's been gone an hour and you're pretty sure the store is closed by now.. oh, never mind, he just got back. He always seems to show up juuuust when you start to worry.

#Rodrick Heffley (yeah i made you wait until the very end, I know that's who you came here for)

He's throwing a rager, and you better believe he's gone all out with his costume. He's painted his face to look like a skeleton and ordered a cheap robe off amazon so he can go as the grim reaper. He usually gets pretty drunk at parties, but on Halloween, every time without a doubt, he gets absolutely wasted. It ends up being your job to carry him up to bed and try to wipe his face paint off him so he doesn't ruin his bedsheets. He ends up getting very clingy and insists that you stay and cuddle with him instead of going back to the party - which you have no problem with at all.

Hi! I'm in the process of making a danganronpa agere au, and I have the basics of what I want down, basically the school is now a giant nursery for regressors and cgs and Junko and Mukuro found regressing as a coping mechanism and never became the ultimate despair, I know it might not make a lot of sense but it makes me happy! Here are the basics of the characters and their roles! I may edit this as time goes on (also pls keep in mind I'm not a writer so I'm sorry if anything seems off)

Makoto Naegi - little leaning flip, soft regressor with little age around 1-4, kind of a pushover type of carer, lax about rules

Kyoko Kirigi - cg, likes parallel play and is a bit standoffish, gives rules and is strict about them but doesn't punish heavily

Byakuya Togami - cg leaning flip, gives rules and has punishments, handles brats easily, when regressed which is rare, he is semi verbal and easily overwhelmed, little age 0-2

Aoi Asahina - little, little age 2-6, hyper and energetic, loves snacks and playing, is in a romantic relationship with Sakura as her caregiver

Sakura Ogami - cg, gives rules and has appropriate punishments, plays along with her little one, rewards good behavior, in a relationship with Aoi as her little one

Toko Fukawa - little, little age 0-1, very shy and mostly nonverbal, crawls around, always has a paci and nonverbal cards clipped to her

Genocider Syo - flip, little age 3-6, when regressed somewhat independent, gets easily distracted, "no I'm big!", when a carer, she is fun and has no rules, plays with her little ones, takes on multiple littles at a time, a big sib type of carer

Kiyotaka Ishimaru - little, little age 1-5, very polite, stims a lot and gets overwhelmed easily, likes to have rules and a routine or gets stressed, in a poly relationship with mondo and chihiro

Mondo Oowada - cg, cool cg that lets you stay up past your bedtime on weekends, has rules but doesn't punish if they're broken, has two little ones (taka and chihiro)

Chihiro Fujisaki - little, little age 0-3, very soft spoken and shy, wears diapers, has a tangle toy with them at all times, in a poly relationship with taka and mondo

Celestia Ludenburg - flip, little age 4-7, when regressed, likes tea parties and spooky kids shows, is somewhat independent, can be a brat, when in carer mode, she calls her little one pet names, has rules that she's strict about

Sayaka Maizono - little, little age 2-6, loves singing and dancing, playing dress up, is a "princess" type regressor and sweet as can be

Yasuhiro Hagakure - cg, lax about rules, silly and makes jokes for his little one, older brother type of carer

Hifumi Yamada - little, little age 4-9, likes reading comics and superhero movies, plays pretend a lot, tries to sneak around rules

Leon Kuwata - cg, doesn't have rules, likes to play music for his little one, gets kinda clingy

Junko Enoshima - little and one of the headmasters of the nursery, little age 1-7, very bratty and loves playing dress up and pretend, twin sis of mukuro

Mukuro Ikusaba - flip and one of the headmasters of the nursery, little age 3-10, somewhat quiet and can be a brat sometimes, as a carer she enforces rules and punishments, and has assigned routines for her littles

Monokuma- basically the nursery mascot and just walks around checking in on everyone making sure everyone is safe and happy :)

Helicopters: I hate 'em. Whereas most regular aircraft are simply annoying, the helicopter spits directly in the face of the Almighty. Rather than smoothly gliding along a plane, they go bippity-boppity like some kind of fucked-up kangaroo full of knives. Hell, most of them don't even have wheels. How can you trust something that doesn't ever have to visit the tire store?

So many others out there are all talk. I'd heard the bar-room rants about the devious nature of the whirlybirds, listened to my fellow wrench-types develop a complicated series of suspicions about the ones hovering ominously over their homes. Rather than keep talking, I decided to do something about helicopters. I got in my car, and I drove that car (eventually; traffic was bad, and I got distracted by a two-for-one sale on fast food tacos) to the aircraft museum.

Why does an aircraft museum exist? Because people with planes have a lot of money, and they have an emotional attachment to planes even when they stop working. It's like when horse people buy an elaborate mausoleum for Li'l Scoots, their favourite childhood Shetland Pony, and entomb his body in a perfect cube of polished quartz when he dies heroically from eating too much grass in an hour. Very common stuff, but it seems weird when you do it to aircraft. The museum didn't just have planes, though. I was there for the helicopters, of course.

With a chill, I realized I'd been to this museum before. In my dreams? That would be pretty spooky, but unfortunately it turns out that I got half-cocked at around this time last year and punched out a docent for trying to argue with me about the nature of leaded avgas.

It turns out that for my natural and full-throated advocacy of nitromethane, I had earned a lifetime ban from the institution, and so I would have to go threaten the staff somewhere else. They'd defeated me this time, but I'd return later, disguised as a banker interested in learning more about how fas a helicopter can turn money into red ink. Unfortunately, they also saw through that disguise, and called the cops. The cops... who have a helicopter. This goes all the way to the top. Keep watching the skies.

Yakuza Headcanons: Watching Spooky Movies

Oooooo it's the spooky season ain't it. Hello hello I rise from the grave to bring you some fresh headcanons for the season. For those with asks still in the inbox, I SEE em, just been busy with my horror movie marathon. Anyways, some headcanons below da cut to tide you over. Also welcome bouncing baby boy Ichiban to the gang!

Kiryu Kazuma

Isn't scared easily by much of anything so it's really easy to get him to watch horror movies. Mostly watches them because someone else is too scared to watch them alone. He's the person they can hide behind or who will tell them when a particularly horrifying scene is over.

Gore doesn't bother him as much as something or someone looking creepy or offputting will. Kiryu still won't get scared but he will get uncomfortable. Most of the time he just reacts by going "Ah... oh!"

Fond of the classics and will gravitate towards movies with a strong and likable protagonist. Likes The Evil Dead, Aliens, and Halloween. Directors don't matter much to him.

Majima Goro

He's a mixed bag. If a movie is well put together, then it can scare him pretty easily. He's most scared of ghost stories or paranormal things. Least afraid of slashers because he thinks he could just beat them all up.

Cannot stand jump scares. Sometimes he evens yells at his TV at home in irritation, saying things like "Oi, whaddya keep makin' loud noises for? Sheesh!"

Honestly, the weirder the movie the better. It might seem stereotypical for someone who looks and acts like Majima but he thinks the whole point of horror is to be interesting. Fond of Takashi Miike movies like Ichi the Killer, Audition, and Over Your Dead Body.

Akiyama Shun

Doesn't watch a lot of movies because he totally falls asleep during most of them. He'll at least give it a shot if you ask nicely though. Honestly more motivated by the fact you might cling to him during the scary parts than anything.

As much as Akiyama is a total ladies' man and romantic at heart, he always laughs whenever characters start being intimate during horror movies. He makes jokes out of it, saying things like "Babe, would you still love me if we were in a spooky movie?"

Movies with a good soundtrack actually help him stay awake. Jump scares annoy him though because if he falls asleep, the noise makes him panic. Fond of monster movies or movies about animals like Jaws, Shin Godzilla, and The Host.

Saejima Taiga

Genuinely not scared of a single darn thing. If you want to watch it, he's down to give it at least a try. He might nod off if he's tired or bored, but he tries his best not to. Horror comedy is okay with him too although he might not get all the jokes.

Most of the time he sits with his arms crossed, paying full attention. He's kind of funny in that he makes noises like "Heh" or "Hmph" when a character is caught off guard by something. Makes an occasionaly "Tsk" sound at jump scares. Otherwise he's not reactionary.

Particularly fond of slashers, probably because those usually have villains that are actually kind of his size. He enjoys the Friday the 13th series, particularly Jason X.

Tanimura Masayoshi

Type of guy to be like "Ooh let's watch this, I heard it's really scary" and then proceed to either get scared out of his wits or say something like "Wait, that's ALL?" at the end. Bases most of his movie choices off of other people's recommendations since he's usually too busy to randomly go see however many movies he wants to.

Doesn't really like horror that's super in your face. Gets more scared by the tension itself than anything. Always has movie snacks on hand.

Found footage is probably his most favorite type of horror. Likes The Blair Witch Project, Noroi, and REC. Fond of director Koji Shiraishi.

Ryuji Goda

Doesn't watch a lot of horror movies but like Saejima he's not scared of anything. He's also the type of guy to drop everything to spend time watching a movie with his partner. Gets a kick out of being a shield or protector during scary parts.

Likes movies with a lot of personality and campiness. Slow burns or psychological thrillers just put him to sleep. It doesn't matter if it's good or bad, as long as it's entertaining.

Didn't think he'd end up being much of a horror fan but he's quite partial to John Carpenter. Likes The Thing, They Live, and Christine.

Nishikiyama Akira

One of the bigger scaredy cats of the group. Won't suggest a horror movie but will totally act like he's not at all afraid if you ask to see one.

Honestly, the two of you end up just kind of holding onto each other during scary parts or pulling up the blanket almost over your eyes when a character is about to die. Violence doesn't necessarily bother him but excessive gore kind of annoys him.

Enjoys a good ghost story movie but only if you'll watch it with him. Anthologies are also good too since it offers so much at once. Likes Ju-On, Ringu, and Tales From The Crypt.

Mine Yoshitaka

Likes certain horror movies. Not scared of much but he does get noticably uncomfortable with torture movies like Saw or Hostel. He just finds it to be weird more than entertaining.

Fond of more classic monsters like vampires or werewolves. Mine's the type of guy to actually have a decent home theater setup, even if he doesn't get much time to use it, so he doesn't go to the movie theater much.

Has a soft spot for some of the really old classics in the 30's like Frankenstein or Nosferatu. His favorite horror movie is Interview With The Vampire.

Daigo Dojima

Probably the only one of the boys who actively enjoys slow burns and more psychological horror. He doesn't get opportunities to watch movies much but he does have an interest in the medium as a whole.

Particularly loves anything with spectacular cinematography. Good directing, lighting, or costumes really impress him. Kind of interested in some of the technical aspects as well. Also probably the only of the boys to ever look something up on IMDb.

Especially fond of movies by Kiyoshi Kurosawa. His favorite horror films are Kwaidan, Cure, and Pulse.

Tatsuo Shinada

The biggest scaredy cat of all of the boys. Will attempt to watch a spooky movie with you at least once just for the sake of trying but will honestly just close his eyes if he feels overwhelmed. You HAVE to hold his hand though.

Probably the only one of the boys who actually gets squeamish easily. Gore and blood make him uncomfortable, although he has SOME tolerance in general. He'd just rather watch something that's not super heavy on bloodshed.

Horror films with a particular visual style, especially super colorful ones, make it a lot easier for him as he can actually see what's happening and he feels less worried. Movies like House or Suspiria are good for him. Also likes super over the top movies like The Lost Boys or Killer Klowns From Outer Space as they're so hilarious to him that he forgets to be scared.

Kasuga Ichiban

Somewhat easily scared. He gets more shocked or surprised than scared, honestly. The movie HAS to be interesting to some degree or he will just conk out and there will be no waking him. Doesn't mind jump scares since they help keep him awake at least even if the movie's bad.

Having said that, he does enjoy taking the time to see a movie that's genuinely just really good and talking about it with you afterward. Movies with really good effects tend to impress him a lot. It's also more visually memorable.

Tends to like movies where the main character has special powers. Partial to zombie movies since a lot tends to happen and involves multiple characters. He likes 28 Days Later, The Dead Zone, and Carrie.

Obey Me! Brothers Chaotic Pumpkin Carving:

Welcome! This is the chaotic competion I think I mentioned in the last pumpkin carving one! The characters may not be how you imagine! I apologize for any poor jokes, bad spelling, and terrible grammar. Without further ado, please enjoy the content. ♡

After carving pumpkins as a family with Mc the brothers want to do a competition, whoever carves the best pumpkin wins! Mc was nominated judge of the competition, Mc was still allowed to carve another pumpkin, they just couldn't be in the contest. The brothers were all bickering over who would win before they had even bought the new pumpkins. Can't carve the old ones. Unbeknownst to the brothers Mc had decided to say that they all won from the start, all hell would break lose if Mc chose one pumpkin. What made matters worse on Mc is that Mammon said- "whoever wins gets a kiss from Mc!". Its okay, Mc just had to decide between giving them all forehead kisses or cheek kisses.

What designs do the brothers go for:

(These designs have to be more intricate than the previous ones, they want to win the contest and they want Mc's kiss!)

Lucifer went with an intricate spooky design, a bat or a coffin, maybe even a spooky castle. Lucifer takes his time carving his pumpkin, he needs to be able to take pride in this pumpkin. And get the kiss from Mc. Mammon did some type of bird, a crow or a raven. He may even add some Grimm next to it if he has the extra time and wants to carve more. Mammon is pretty quick with carving his pumpkin, he's not the fastest out of all of his brothers at it but he is one of the faster ones. That doesn't mean Mammon Doesn't want the kiss. Leviathan went with an intricate Ruri-Chan design, instead of it just being her face like last time, it was her full body, she was doing some cool pose. Levi took his time, wanting it to be a perfect for Ruri-Chan! And for Mc! He needs that kiss. Satan does an intricate carving of a cat, unlike last time this cat has much more detail and is a cat's full body. Satan's design was probably something like a cat sitting while facing forward, the cat probably has stuff around it thats Halloween themed. It could be a variety of ideas from gravestones to ghosts, anything idea Satan can think of he considers. The cat may even be wearing some type of hat, like a witches hat, if theres a witches hat then Satan will add a broom. The point is he gets all spadazy with his cat carving this time, this means Satan has to take his time. He just really wanted to impress Mc man. Asmodeus does an even more interact drawing of himself than the one he did before. This time its more than just his face, its his body as well, or at least more of it than before. He has to focus on his face, its one of his main features! Asmo takes his time, putting in lots and lots of details. The pumpkin should be as perfect as he is! He's so excited to win Mc's kiss. Beelzebub does a design of food, most likely he carves a cheeseburger. Its really well carved out and its rather detailed for a cheesebuger. Beel doesnt take his time really but he doesn't rush either, he just lets it play out. He just hopes he doesn't eat his pumpkin before Mc can judge, he really wants that kiss. Belphegor was asleep most of the time again, but his was still somehow cool. How he gets stuff done when hes always sleeping? It's one of the Devildom's many mysteries. Belphie carves an intricate skull, it's somehow detailed and the details don't even seem lazily done! Belphie is also somehow the first done even though his is as cool as everyone else's. He may be lazy but he'll put in effort for a kiss from Mc.

How the competition goes:

They did the carving in HoL's kicthen, and although its larger than a normal kitchen, with so many people it feels like a normal kitchen. Mc tried to seprate the brother to keep them from fighting again, but there wasn't much space between each brother so Mc knew chaos was bound to happen. Mc tried to get some rules set in the begining but the brothers were to impatient. The contest begins with no rules, already promising choas. Mc's only little ray of hope is that for fairness more carving tool kits were bought, meaning each brother had their own tools to carve with. Even though they shouldn't fight over tools, and they all had different designs this time, arguing still ensues as soon as the contest starts.

At first its just banter between some of the brothers, friendly competitive remarks that made them grin and seemingly have a good time. This friendly banter was quick to end, full on chaos began to ensue when Satan accidently flicked pumpkin parts everywhere, most of the brothers complained but none reacted as dramatically and angrily as Asmo did. Asmo got so upset over it that he reached over with one of his carving knives and cut a chunk of Satan's pumpkin in retaliation, since there were no rules to the competition this was technically allowed. Satan fairly became enraged by Asmo's actions. Satan did his on accident and it didn't sabotage the others pumpkin! Mc was quick to calm Satan down by comparing it to art at art museums, Mc explains that Satan can use it as part of his pumpkins design instead of looking at it as if it ruined his pumpkin. Satan is a good sport and takes the high road, continuing to work on his pumpkin without ruining anyone else's out of anger. Asmo continues to whine about being dirty, but after Mc cleans the pumpkin pieces off of him he calms down a bit.

Tension in the kitchen is already high, and only two of the brothers have fought so far. Things go for fine for about the next 30 minutes of pumpkin carving, but the calm ends as quickly as it comes. For no reason at all, Mammon, Asmo, and Levi start arguing. One thing leads to another and Asmo does his dirty trick of cutting into someones elses pumpkin again, this time Mammon's pumpkin falls victim to Asmo's crimes. Mamon unlike Satan retaliates against Asmo's attack, Mammon carves a chunk out of Asmo's pumpkin just as Asmo had done to his. Asmo screams dramatically, acting like it physically wounded him, he grabs his carving tool and jabs at Mammon's and Levi's pumpkins. Levi stops arguing with them, instead he clutches his pumpkin and starts hissing in his demon form when either of them act like their going to attack his pumpkin. Mammon and Asmo end up in a small fist fight before Mc and Lucifer can calm everything down again. Due to the small fight Mc tells all the brothers to take a break and calm down, the brothers go on a 15 minute break and come back a little calmer than before.

When the brothers come back and the contest continues everything goes suprisingly well for awhile. The brothers all focus on carving their pumpkins, they barely even bicker, just an almost uneasy calm silence. Some brothers even begin to finish their pumpkins, they look really well done, Mc is actually impressed. This calm silent moment is soon disturbed by a monstrous growl, one the brothers and Mc know well, as the monstrous growl is actually Beel's stomach rumbling. Everyone continues what their doing until a high pitched 'Beel don't you dare!' Rings out, everyone turns to see Beel trying to eat Asmo's pumpkin, Asmo manages to keep Beel away from his pumpkin long enough for Mc to feed Beel a small snack. Asmo refuses to be next to Beel and Beel gets moved to being next to Levi. All seems well and everyone goes back to finishing their pumpkins. The ones that haven't finished their pumpkins work hard, putting a lot of work and fine details into their pumpkins.

Beel was still working on his carving of a hambuger, which probably wasn't helping his hunger, but he looked very focused on making his carving look good. Beel carves a peice out of his pumpkin and then leans over and casually bites a peice out of Levi's Ruri-Chan Pumpkin. It would have gone unnoticed and stayed casual if Levi didn't loose his mind. Within a few minutes everyones pumpkin were ruined and the entire kitchen was destroyed. Levi went into a rage when Beel ate a peice of his pumpkin, Levi seemed to yell once before he just straight up summoned Lotan. Water rushing into the kitchen and all the chaos the summoning causes ruins everyone's pumpkins and leaves the kitchen in a very poor state. Everyone was now soaked head to toe in water, standing outside of the kitchen as they had to leave the kitchen so they wouldn't drown. Its silent for a moment, but not a good silent, its like a ticking time bomb. Its almost as if everyone needs a moment to process what just happened, as soon as they process it the imaginary bomb explodes. Right before the brothers can actually process anything Mc laughs and says something about how everyone wins since all the pumpkins are destroyed. Mc plants a kiss on each of the brothers cheeks/foreheads before Mc wanders off to their room, leaving the brothers to deal with the aftermath of the chaotic competition.

Once reality hit, everyone got in trouble from Lucifer, even Mc who was just the judge and didnt do anything. Everyone had to put money into repairing the kitchen and punishments were handed out "accordindly" Lucifer also made a rule that any other pumpkin carving competitions had to be held in HoL's garden. He'd rather have the garden destroyed than the house.

Watching scary movies

Wednesday: She has seen her fair share of bloody and horrific movies in the past, but watching them with someone she cares about makes the experience all the more memorable. The fear of the unknown, the anticipation of waiting for the next jump scare or chilling moment, and the rush of adrenaline - all of these elements come together when you're watching the movie with another person. She usually watches these types of movies with you, and you always have a fantastic time together.

Enid: Well, when she watches scary movies with her partner, she's usually the one who gets scared. So she would hold your arm tightly and close her eyes whenever the scary parts come up. She may also try to hide under your arm. If you don't get scared as easily, she doesn't notice if you seem as affected by the scary parts. But you must still let her cling onto you for comfort.

Xavier: Ah, horror films. In the past, he generally hasn't been especially keen on them. But since meeting you, it has been nice to find that you both enjoy a good scare and will settle down with a scary movie and see if you can make it to the end. He would say you both enjoy a good fright but definitely don't overindulge. He does like to tease each other a little if something does seem particularly spooky.

Rowan: When he watches scary movies with his partner, he usually tries to make sure that he doesn't show too much emotion. He may seem a little bit uncomfortable or anxious, but he tries to keep a cool exterior. However, if the movie is really scary, it's hard not to react. He might scream or jump in his seat if something really scares him. But he makes sure to keep his fear in check and try to play it cool for your sake.

Tyler: He finds watching scary movies with his partner to be quite exciting and entertaining. You'll usually both get quite immersed in the plot and it is always fun afterwards to discuss what you thought of it and how you both reacted to each scene. Sometimes at night, he likes to lay back and watch a scary movie, so you can get a bit cozy and close to each other and experience the thrills together.

Ajax: When watching a scary movie with his partner, he generally has no problem with the horror elements, as he is always in a calm and rational state of mind during such situations more so if he's high. He enjoys the excitement of the story and the suspense created by the narrative, and the fact that you are often frightened by it only adds to the enjoyment of the experience. He is usually the one to suggest scary movies, so he is not afraid of their effects on him or you.

Bianca: She tries her best to stay calm and composed, but sometimes she may jump or get a little frightened. She tries to remind herself that it's just a movie and it's not real. However, she does enjoy watching scary movies with you because you both enjoy them and getting scared together can be a lot of fun. She also appreciates your comfort and reassurance if she does get frightened.

where are people getting the idea that vaggie is a canon lesbian from? didn’t viviziepop say there are no lgbt characters because she claimed she didn’t want to offend anyone but there are also no anti lgbt characters for that same reason?

There is technically LGBT characters in Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss universe. Vivziepop confirmed it herself for the sake of diversity. Anti-LGBT sinners are also still around. The only people that are confirmed to cease existing after death are only Nazis, pedophiles, and racists. Those three types of sinners would never be sent to Hell and instead, their souls are gone for good. Vivziepop confirmed that she and Charlie are a couple on a charity stream. Faustisse, an old illustrator who worked on the Hazbin Hotel comics, also confirmed in a deleted stream that Vaggie is a lesbian. Vivzie said that Charlie and Vaggie are like Jack and Sally from the Nightmare Before Christmas. But I think Viv forgets there's a bit more going on with Sally's character that Vaggie can't really connect besides surface level of being a loner girl who tries to be the voice of reason to the idealistic leader. Like for one, Sally had been built and tied down by Doctor Finklestein. She would drug him to try and sneak out whenever she gets the chance. Even if she barely made any other friends or talk to other residents, she was more content on having freedom. Vaggie isn't this when she is in the position as a hotel manager, where she has to work alongside and socialize other people in the hotel, staff and guests of the hotel. Vaggie doesn't even revel going out by herself or doing her own thing WITHOUT Charlie attached to her hip. She is now a free angel, but is seemed to tied herself down to her lover and nothing else. That is also another thing. Sally had no choice but to go behind Jack's back if he couldn't listen to her. She had to take her own measures to get things right. The only closest thing Vaggie had done without letting her girlfriend know, is making a vague deal with Alastor. But even then, she could at least do more on her own if she disagrees with some of Charlie's ideas and methods if every time she tries to talk to her and she doesn't listen. Also, Jack loves and embraces Halloween as a dark and spooky holiday. He wants to make sure it is full of scares and terror that everyone in the town will love. Charlie is against what Hell stands for, even as she is ruler. She is made to be the polar opposite for the sake of Disney Princess-theme. Jack even has respect from all the townsfolk while nobody in Hell gives two shits about her, even with her title as Princess of Hell.

sebastian michaelis but him having no idea how to be human translates into his looks so while he can pretty much pull it off, there is still something unexplainably "off" about him, giving him almost an uncanny valley type look? like, he's undeniably beautiful and everyone wants to bang him but if u look a little too close or catch him when he's distracted (when hes not putting too much effort into maintaining his persona) or even just at first glance he has. some weirdly distorted features u can't rly put ur finger on

because how can he be so intimidating to so many characters? mf is a twink with a fat ass and a fringe i bet he'd make ppl giggle irl UNLESS he genuinely has a spooky smile or eyes that have no real light in them or facial expressions that contort in just the right way to be off-putting. like, brow sets just a little too heavy, gaze is blank and seems to trail into the distance, thin lips stretch into too wide of a smile, corners of his eyes don't crinkle, arms and legs that are just a little too long for comfort, completely smooth and unmarred lineaments that give him almost a waxy/mannequin-like skin texture...

weird shit!! not even terrifying, but deeply unnerving or unsettling to the point where a lot of people do not. want. to stand too close to this black-clad butler because. "why. do his eyes do that?? why does his jaw?? curve like th- that doesn't look- normal??"

the only one who doesn't notice it anymore is o!ciel (even tho he definitely did in the beginning) so sometimes the servants will confer with one another and try to explain how mr. sebastian looks *different* but they don't have the vocabulary or comprehension to really put it to words. all they can really say is that, despite how much they love the guy, they feel discomforted when he looks at them too long

ofc, after a while, everyone in the house gets used to it. every single creepy victorian porcelain doll child earl needs an uncanny valley inhuman wax statue creature thing by his side, right?

ꜰᴀᴠᴇ ꜱᴇᴀꜱᴏɴ: Autumn, he likes seeing the leaves change colors when he visits his coven's family estate. He also likes the cold, crisp air--and everyone knows Autumn is spooky season.

ꜰᴀᴠᴇ ꜰʟᴏᴡᴇʀ: Black Dahlias--Black Narcissus Dahlias to be exact.

ꜰᴀᴠᴇ ꜱᴄᴇɴᴛ: Cannabis--not just because he's a very frequent user, but because it reminds him of home. Casey and Baz were cannabis farmers. He remembers the way they used to smell when they would come back inside from tending to their crops, or the way the greenhouse smelled when he was a bit older and began to help them tend to their plants. It's a comforting smell to him. He associates it with happy memories.

ᴄᴏꜰꜰᴇᴇ, ᴛᴇᴀ, ᴏʀ ʜᴄ: Salem's very much a coffee guy--preferably iced coffee. But he enjoys a good hot chocolate too, he won't say no to one. He's not the biggest fan of tea and likely avoids hot tea as much as he can. Though, he'll still drink it if a ritual or spell calls for it. If he were to drink tea, it's gotta be iced. Salem's an iced drink type of guy.

ᴀᴠᴇʀᴀɢᴇ ʜᴏᴜʀꜱ ᴏꜰ ꜱʟᴇᴇᴘ: It depends what's going on. Most of the time, he gets his full eight hours--though it's usually during the day. The times when he's most restless is when he's upset about something or if old memories are keeping him awake. Although, when he's on tour, he doesn't get much sleep at all. Maybe he'll be able to squeeze in about three hours, four if he's lucky--but otherwise, he's mostly running on caffiene. This is around the time when he starts wanting to wrap it up and go home.

ᴅᴏɢ ᴏʀ ᴄᴀᴛ ᴘᴇʀꜱᴏɴ: He seems more of a cat person. Which is funny, considering his friend group consists of mainly werewolves.

ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍ ᴛʀɪᴘ: Salem really wants to see the Northern Lights in person. He hasn't found the opportunity to, but he'd like to travel to wherever the best view of those is. The Southern Lights are also on his bucket list.

ꜰᴀᴠᴏᴜʀɪᴛᴇ ꜰɪᴄᴛɪᴏɴᴀʟ ᴄʜᴀʀᴀᴄᴛᴇʀ: Not a specific character, but Salem tends to like slashers from various horror flicks. No particular reason why, of course. Definitely doesn’t wear the masks or have his partner wear the mask while with him. Certainly not.

ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ ᴏꜰ ʙʟᴀɴᴋᴇᴛꜱ ᴛʜᴇʏ ꜱʟᴇᴇᴘ ᴡɪᴛʜ: During the summer, Salem sleeps with a lightweight comforter and the flat sheet beneath that. If he’s having a particularly warm night, he’ll ditch the comforter all together. During the winter, however, he'll swap the comforter for something much more thick. He'll layer up if he has to: flat sheet, comforter, and another blanket over that. Salem gets cold pretty easily, so he'll roll himself up into a burrito until all you see are tuffs of dark hair sticking out. As per Salem’s usual aesthetic, he prefers darker colored sheets.

ʀᴀɴᴅᴏᴍ ꜰᴀᴄᴛ: Salem has a bit of an online presence with his fanbase, which begins to pick up after he successfully completes rehab. Sometimes he interacts with fans, answering questions they send him either honestly or with a not very serious answer--depending on his mood and what the question is. Other times, he'll stream his music making process, giving others a peek into what it is he does and how his creative process works. It's one of the rare moments Salem lets others take a glance into his personal life. He won't really admit it, but there was a brief period when he was getting himself together where he went through a bout of loneliness--after having cut his former toxic entourage loose. Not having anyone to spend time with--he began to stream and sought company through his supporters. It's not something he does too often, maybe once every other week or so. But it's a big of a sign of growth--Salem allowing himself to open up and allow himself, as a person, to be known.

Halloween at Camp

(basically just drabbles of how I think the camp/companions would celebrate). Tav/Astarion/Halsin centric romance wise

Halsin? Oh Halsin would make a grand feast for everyone. A lot of seasonal foods, kind of like a Thanksgiving meal but a little less focus on having very specific items and using things he spent the day (or past few) collecting/hunting. I imagine it's a tradition often celebrated in the grove so he was more than eager to celebrate it at camp. He would also, ofc, make sure to give the safe bones to Scratch and the OBC, perhaps even going out as a bear and getting more than a few salmon for OBC. He's more than eager for everyone to feast and eat their share when dinner time comes around. When everyone gathers for scary stories at the campfire, I imagine if Tav and/or Astarion get scared or creeped out they would scoot a little closer to him, perhaps hold his hand tight, or find great comfort overall if he puts his arms around them to keep them close.

Karlach would /love/ Halloween. She would dress up using whatever was laying around or she could get for dirt cheap in the city- I imagine she'd be fond of bedsheet ghosts and would have holes for her horns to stick out. She'd collect up some pumpkins or turnips for everyone to carve- and between her, Wyll, Gale, Shadowheart and Tav, they have more than a few pumpkins to put up around camp. I imagine Halsin also collects all the pumpkin seeds for roasting for a snack for later.

Wyll never really seemed like he got to dress up as a kid- son of nobility, Halloween was probably more a poor man's holiday when it came to dressing up. Through encouragement Karlach probably helps him dress up, even if it Is just some silly clown makeup or something small along those lines. He, however, along with Gale and Shadowheart, probably also read a lot, and knows more than his fair share of spooky stories for them to tell around the campfire late at night.

Lae'zel? Like a lot of things on the material plane she would be a little confused at this holiday tradition. Why would you waste time on indulging in scary things when the group faces more than enough scary things on the daily basis? Then again, I think Lae'zel sees the appeal of carving pumpkins, and would join in on that. She'd probably also enjoy the scary stories, even if she didn't initially join everyone around the fire at first.

Shadowheart is very fond of Halloween. I think she'd be the one who'd have a tarot deck and would have fun doing spreads for everyone. She probably doesn't dress up but she is all too eager to join everyone at the fire for stories. Has quite a good few monster stories that leave more than a few folks with chills.

Gale is the type to delight in reading spooky books during Halloween. He'd be the type to brew a good cup of tea, snuggle up in his tent for a majority of the day to read something like Frankenstein's Monster (the DBD equivalent obvi). Later in the day he would probably emerge to help Halsin cook, or even focus on making Halloween themed treats- hell he'd probably be the one to focus on making a nice pumpkin centric treat, like pumpkin bread or pie. He'd also have a good few creature feature stories to tell.

Astarion? Halloween has probably changed a lot since he was young, and I imagine Cazador would only let him and the other spawn out to focus on the plenty of drunkards out partying back to the residence. So Astarion doesn't seem too keen to join in on the festivities. Be probably spends a lot of time drinking wine, maybe with Gale, and reading a good book. Perhaps he joins Gale in reading a spooky book (or the same one, sitting close and comfy). I imagine Halsin has also collected a good variety of animal blood for Astarion to dine on come dinner time, but he, along with Tav, offer up their necks for him to comfortably dine on. He's a little hesitant to join everyone at the campfire for stories or having his tarot read, but after hearing the first story he reluctantly strolls over to join everyone, taking a seat between Halsin and Minsc.

Minsc? Oh Minsc's home probably has a similar tradition as Halsin, and he is more than eager to help in hunting. Though he spends the past few days hunting a specific boar and bringing it back to camp. He prepares it by hand, preparing a ton of meat to be dried as pemmican or jerky to last then for weeks to come. Jaheira more than likely lends a hand in this too, making sure to collect goodberries and other edible berries for the pemmican preparation. Jaheira probably keeps the tusks to make something out of at another date.

Jaheira more than likely just helps out around camp, though she also joins in on pumpkin carving. I imagine amongst her family back home she usually does so. Out of everyone she probably has the best, most practiced carving, and more than likely does a cat face, or perhaps takes inspiration from Scratch or OBC and carves them instead.
