You know those old AUs where Dabi/Touya trained at the HPSC?
That, but with Natsuo.
Losing both his brother and mother leads Natsuo to have a mental break, resulting in a stress mutation of his quirk. Makes it stronger; currently thinking his ice becomes unmeltable, and certain parts of his body turn completely into ice, such as his arms and jaw. He can regrow the ice and change its formation on his body. The HPSC already had an interest in Endeavor's children, but only after this incident are they able to get their hands on one of them.
He's not the same as Hawks; the commission doesn't own him, it's more of a "boarding school" type thing, and after he becomes a Hero, he's only so on paper. He doesn't have an agency, doesn't patrol, is mostly unknown. He doesn't assassinate people like Lady Nagant and Hawks, they keep his business mostly legal. He's just,,, a hero working specifically and directly for the Commission, called in on certain raids or jobs as the HPSC sees fit.
Outside of that though, he tries to have a normal life. Moves out at 18, attends college, keeps his civilian and hero identities separate. He doesn't have many connections in the hero world; everyone knows he's a Commission plant.
Anyway. Just something i'm thinking really hard of rn. Will probably do some art later

Ok, Dark Sea God Izzy thoughts...
Edward can't forget what Izzy is - being trapped in the middle of a burning ship and knowing death is coming only to have a god offer to save you... well that leaves an impression - but he tries not to think about it too much. Both for the aforementioned horror and because (he'll die before admitting this to another soul) everything happened so fast and chaotic that he doesn't fully remember what he agreed to. He just wanted to live.
Izzy, meanwhile, didn't actually intend to stay by Edward's side for decades. He grabbed a perfectly serviceable corpse, fixed it up, and then only meant to watch his new devotee / partner / master for a bit. But he hadn't actually been in a form much like a human in so long, he kinda forgot what it was like and everything was so novel. It was fun. He got distracted, and then by the time he remembered he'd planned to go back to the water he was fully enamored.
I like the fear thing. Maybe Izzy can only more directly do Sea God type things when part of or at minimum in the sea, so a lot of his day to day powers are more subtle and (initially) underwhelming then you'd expect from an eldritch being. Things like Fear. I also like the idea he can inflict people with Thirst (the saltwater kind).
He can talk to Button's seagulls but he refuses to unless they pay respects. Which they won't, because he's doing a stellar job of pretending not to be a god and also seagulls are stingy.
I think he should have eaten someone at least once. Sacrificial offering and all that. Or maybe he just makes a habit of licking spilled blood off his fingers and looking way too thrilled about it.
Back to the whole devotee / partner / master thing, literally neither of them knows who is actually in charge in this magic arrangement, assuming anyone is. Izzy is doing the thing where he's got an entirely different frame of reference, so "serving" Edward is not something he has to do or sees as work. He just wants to. But of course Edward occasionally remembers Izzy could change his mind and then that tricky little blood oath he owes him could come up again.

🖋️ and 💕?
🖊 What is the most recent line you’ve written?
I haven't opened the notes on my phone or even a google Docs in weeks 😭😭😭... But I do actually know along the lines about how I for sure want to start one chapter for my little events fic (this sorta falls in line with the second ask):
'Peach spit out the tea coughing uncontrollably as she began to process what Bowser'
It's gonna be something along that line... who doesn't like reading/seeing one person say something completely outrageous catching the other person off guard where they do a spit take 🤭. I also know you guys miss my toxic Peach and Bowser friendship stuff, lolol 🤪
💕 What is the WIP that you are most excited about?
Omg everything I have planned for "Little Events" cause that's why I made it hehe:
Toads and Toadsworth try to give a young Peach to a random human couple, and she doesn't want to be with them.
This is an iffy one: I'd love to try my hand at writing a full-on coronation sequence for Peach... cause that sounds so fun, actually.
Peach's differing reactions to both Bowser's and Haru's proposals to her and what follows (that's where the little line from above came from lol. It feels like it's gonna be a little challenge cause I wanna dabble in romance a bit...but we'll see).
The ending of Peach and Bowser "friendship"... this will kinda challenging cause I wanna try to write the fight/action sequence 👀
I feel like I wanna do another little story with Mario and Peach following the 'Aftermath' that also sounds like fun!!
I like all these ideas. I can't wait to see how they'll turn out ☺️☺️

silly thoughts but i was thinking about jack and how conflicting of a character he is to me and how stupid i feel for taking him more serious than i should given he is some funny guy coming from the kickstarter, in fact i'd say all the kickstarter characters are very not serious, nobody wanted to put some sad guy in the game, but anyway this is how my brain is
he's just some kid that doesn't know what stuff is for him and what stuff isn't and he has nobody to guide him on this, i think having a character like him living in the context of lisa is very terrible but especially by taking him to brad's journey, not only taking this kiddo to literally slaughter people and him seeing death and blood and corpses everywhere he goes (which he probably sees as normal) but also the fact that he has to be in the same team as other guys who are severely bad influences to him, like you can have him in the same team as people who were murderers even before the flash or guys who could be considered possible sex offenders like it's so messed up
i don't think him being in the game is a bad thing it's interesting as hell honestly, it's just hard to not feel bad for him, i feel like the game wanted to delve into this more and it sort of did but also backtracked? like it never wants to fully talk about this for him. that one convo touches on the subject a little bit but then it just gets cut and youre never given an answer of if jack is okay after that or not lol
also i keep thinking about how aware of this the other companions are? brad even. like dude is seen reading a porno mag and i highly doubt he stole it and was being sneaky about it, i think the other guys know he does this shit but dont stop him
i think some of them would worry but wouldn't feel like saying anything, some would be completely apathetic until they actually realize how bad this is, others would be like 'nah it's okay for his age' , others would know it's not a good thing but wouldn't care, and there'd be others who are willing to say something but don't get listened or get pushed by the meanier companions idk
also i wonder if him being a boy would have make any difference for them because there are actually many people who's opinion on the matter changes depending on the gender of the person but of couse it's bad to put a kid in these situations no matter their gender

thinkin about. it's so easy to fall into the 'antisocial nerd who hates people' trope with a certain flavor of character archetype but. how much is melliwyk actually just... without even realizing it... fundamentally lonely...? she's friendly, but bad at making friends and maintaining meaningful relationships. the incident where she blew herself up launched her career but it also permanently blinded her roommate, and that would have absolutely colored her reputation and the way people interact with her for the remainder of her academic and all of her professional career. she lived alone in the woods for years. she talked to the ghost she didn't believe existed, she talks to her familiar even when he's not in the room, she keeps inventing robots shaped like little animals and creating items for her friends? companions. an NPC died at her feet and she invented an entirely new way to use magic so that she could learn revivify and spare the dying as an arcanist. while working on that project she shut herself in her room and didn't talk to anybody. after learning her parents were hostages she dove into working on her projects and shut herself in her room and didn't talk to anybody. a party member invited her to turn on the others and seems to this day to resent her for siding against him, and she doesn't know how to explain how she feels about the fact that he would even think to ask.

What are your favourite horror stories?
I haven't read much in the way of horror, and my film pool is very limited as well but I tend enjoy beast like monsters and/or body horror when it appears. I'm a sucker for creature design.
However I will say I've very much enjoyed listening to the podcast The Silt Verses. Its a radio play like fiction show that explores a plethora of horrifying deities and the ways people worship them in similar, horrifying ways. It also had its fair share of good horror creature descriptions but everything about the show captivated me honestly and really chilled me at many points.
