Not really bored this time, just don't want to work on these questions my history professor has given us so allow me to procrastinate by sending you another ask. I know this pairing isn't really our focus rn but honestly I find the Jake/Neytiri/Tsu'tey thing kind of cute.

For one I totally agree with your 0 romance between Neytiri and Tsu'tey take. I think they are really close friends but could never be romantic partners.

I imagine it's Neytiri who tells Tsu'tey to wake up and realize he likes Jake. She gets tired of him grumbling about him non-stop and is finally like "For Eywa's fucking sake just kiss him already".

For some reason the thought of not just Neytiri but also Tsu'tey reacting to the realization of Jake's betrayal gets me. Like, Tsu'tey had begun to fall in love with this man, but not just any man. A man who is working for the people responsible for killing the love of his life. And after months of building trust and finally thinking that he can let this person in Jake admits to his initially less than innocent intentions. Crushing.

I think that it would take Jake and Tsu'tey longer to mate before Eywa. Not exactly sure when or if Na'vi culture even permits it, but I think they would just because now Jake is Tsu'tey's mate for life as well.

I feel like Tsu'tey would commune with Sylwanin all the time in the beginning and tell her about Jake, especially during the very start when he's just beginning to feel these emotions towards him and feels not only guilt for "betraying" Sylwanin and having feelings for a Sky Person but but also just a yearning to get her advice.

I like the idea that somehow Jake gained the nickname "American Boy" from Tsu'tey one day, probably when he made some correction to a comment Tsu'tey made and was all like "technically I'm American" and Tsu'tey latched onto it. At first it was just used to tease but now it's a fond nickname.

I picture Jake taking them on separate date nights. Neytiri and him fly on their ikrans every friday evening while Jake and Tsu'tey go for evening rides on, like, saturdays after a long week of olo'eyktan duties on Tsu'tey's part (for some reason my mind just associates this man with pa'lis even though I know he has an ikran?? Like???). I like to think that Jake never really manages to vibe with any of the pa'li for the longest time and Tsu'tey enjoys watching the struggle and so he insists on pa'li rides (plus I feel like a part of him would see ikran rides as Jake and Neytiri's "thing" and want to do something different) but after awhile Jake finds one that he just kinda clicks with and by that point pa'li rides have become his and Tsu'tey's thing. Once a month all three of them will do something together too like have dinner or go for a swim or basically whatever else they feel like doing.

Don't even get me started on when the kids come into the picture. I'm fully committed to Neteyam being a mommy's boy with Neytiri and Kiri being a daddy's girl with Jake. Lo'ak is a daddy's boy too, but with Tsu'tey. From day one I picture Lo'ak just deciding that daddy #2 is his favorite person on the planet lol. Jake pretends to be offended, but both him and Neytiri are secretly really happy that Tsu'tey is getting to experience what they're experiencing with Neteyam and Kiri respectively. When Tuk is born she goes back and forth between all three of them with seemingly no preference.

I like the idea of Tsu'tey speaking mostly Na'vi with the kids, Jake speaking mostly English with them, and Neytiri switching in-between. Due to this, it became clear very quickly which parent had more influence on which kid when they began talking. Neteyam's first word? A weird hybrid of the English and Na'vi words for "where" (Neytiri handed him over to Jake and Neteyam reached out towards her retreating form and said "where" as if to ask where she was going). Kiri's first word? "Dada" in English (Jake stepped into their tent and Kiri saw him, perked up, and cried "Dada!"). Lo'ak's first word was "no" in Na'vi (he went through this phase where whenever Tsu'tey would try and put him down or hand him to Neytiri or Jake he would cling to Tsu'tey and say "no" over and over again. If they still managed to get him into someone else's arms he'd start crying and just throw a major fit). Tuk's first word was "'Teyam", which Jake claims doesn't count for anything since it's a name but he sure wasn't saying that when Kiri said dada (they may or may not have turned this into a competition).

When the kids are younger they love it when Tsu'tey takes them on pa'li rides and Neytiri or Jake takes them on ikran rides.

Also, when they are infants Neytiri, Jake, and Tsu'tey apply the "divide and conquer" method to them. Neytiri takes Neteyam, Jake takes Kiri, and Tsu'tey takes Lo'ak. Put them all in baby slings and boom, that's one less problem to worry about. I feel like Kiri outgrows the sling first but it's anyone's guess with Neteyam and Lo'ak.

I fully support the "Norm and Max reopen Grace's school" idea I've seen along with your "language beast Norm" idea. I picture that part of the reason he opens the school is for his 50+ adopted children who he wants to introduce to English but also he just loves sharing knowledge with others. I think he would introduce new things to the school that Grace maybe hadn't considered, like his horrifyingly extensive lecture on looming on Earth as a way to bring in an important part of Omatikaya culture but also educate them on English looming terms and human looming culture.

At first both Neytiri and Tsu'tey aren't all that keen on the idea of the school reopening, but Jake is all for it and they talk about it for weeks before Tsu'tey finally brings the idea to the children of the clan. A surprising number of them (of which Norm's adopted children make up a suspicious majority) agree to give the school another shot and so Tsu'tey and Neytiri agree that letting their kids go would be a good thing.

When it comes to Spider I'm uncertain. I know Tsu'tey would side with Neytiri far more than Jake when it comes to how he sees the boy, but Neytiri lost her sister and father whereas Tsu'tey lost the love of his life so maybe Neytiri would still be the more intense of the two? Feel free to give me your thoughts on it. Part of me wishes they would adopt Spider but I think we both know that with both Tsu'tey and Neytiri in the picture that would never happen.

I love the idea of Tsu'tey and Neytiri both just being so fascinated by Lo'ak and Kiri's little eyebrows and four little fingers. Like, Lo'ak's little baby eyebrows scrunch up and they're all like: "My Jake, look at them 🥺, What does it mean?" And Jake, who sees eyebrows as completely normal is all like: "Haha oh yeah, they do that. Might want to check his diaper."

I like to imagine that when it comes time for the alphabet in Norm's little preschool section of the class Jake gets everyone on board with singing the apples and bananas song. "Okay guys, one more time! I like to ate, ate, ate, ay-ples and banay-nays!"

Norm and his boyfriend definitely babysit for them on date nights lol, and they expect the favor to be returned whenever the situation calls for it.

Tsu'tey still communes with Slywanin a lot, but now there is nothing but happiness in the stories he has to tell her.

This somehow turned into a whole Neytiri/Jake/Tsu'tey as parents thing I apologize 😂

-I agree, I don't think we'd get Spider Sully here. I do wonder how him and Lo'ak's relationship is affected if Tsu'tey is Lo'ak's favorite parent and Tsu'tey is against Spider. I don't see Lo'ak not standing up for Spider, and I see this causing a rift between them faster than it would between Neytiri and Lo'ak just because Lo'ak's relationship with his mother is different than with his fathers. I think the issue would've been pushed sooner, and Kiri would jump rIGHT the fuck in as soon as it started.

like literally anything. how did u come up with the plot? are there any scenes that didn’t appear in the story? id there anything u want to change? even some fun facts!

YAYYYY thank you so much oh my goodness YES here are some Director's Commentary thoughts and rambles about my fic illicit affairs:

it started as just: we desperately need a friends with benefits verse for byler, and this was in 2022 when byler smut would basically get you crucified on main, so i knew a) i needed to make a new account for it and b) i wanted it to be so juicy, so in-character, and so GOOD that it could entice even the closet-smut enjoyers. (considering i'm approaching 40k hits on that story, i think i succeeded in that aspect)

i actually just looked back at my outline, and it's pretty much exactly what y'all ended up reading with very little changes. because i started off thinking of it just in snapshots - how could i convey the arc of their FWB vibes over a handful of sexual encounters that each feel different and unique both sexually and emotionally?

in fact, since i have it, this is the original outline i wrote for the fic! you can see that it pretty much matches up perfectly chapter-by-chapter, except for that number 2 ended up squished in with chapter 1.

if anything, i would have loved to write a little bit more between chapters 1 and 2, when they're first starting their FWB relationship and exploring sexually, before they're fully comfortable with the situation like they are in chapter 2. like, in chapter 2, mike is fully dirty talking and using pet names like baby and darling - i would have loved an in between chapter (or a few) of them experimenting and getting to that level. imagine will melting the first time mike calls him darling. swoon.

chapter 3 is my favorite because it's all about the romance that they can't acknowledge is romance. but it's objectively romantic!!! moonlit lovemaking under the stars! but then, that pesky no-kissing rule, and the pesky miscommunication, where they both think they're messing it up by how in love they are with the other. sigh.

chapter 4 is the bottom mike scene that some folks were surprised about because i tend toward bottom will; this was just because i headcanon them switching, and this fic is so about them exploring sexually that it would feel amiss not to include it and show their relationship that way as well. plus, i'm a sucker for using position switching as an emotional beat to show vulnerability, so it fit perfectly in that way too.

and of course, chapter 5, the beautiful conclusion, where they're in love and they know it, where they can kiss freely - i wanted it to be explosively amazing, but also lighthearted and funny and over the top. so naturally they had to break the d&d table. did i take liberties with the practical applications of spit as lube? yes, absolutely, but i apologize for nothing.

i'm mostly asexual, so to me, the beauty of exploring a FWB-to-lovers arc is exploring the idea that sex alone isn't enough for these characters. they want love, they want tenderness, they want each other. and playing with that was so so so fun.

What made you ship it? —If there is one thing I am going to do as a polyamorous multishipper, it is find the two characters who had the most central relationship with a protagonist on screen and make them kiss. They are incredibly compelling to me. Even if you remove this concept of the mythical "Trapper Complex," they'd compel me. Typically I ship them in the midst of a wider polycule, but even alone, they bring so much to the table.

What are your favorite things about the ship? —I love that they're both girldads, and that Trap has the extra years of experience there to offer advice and support to boot. Similarly, I love that Trapper is a far more experienced surgeon and BJ is just starting to dip his toes into the water outside of residency—I'm often inclined to write Trap as being around 33 or so in 1950, when BJ would be around 26 or 27, so that is a significant level of time that Trapper's had on the ground as opposed to BJ, who has his finger on the pulse of the newest techniques and advances and thus also has something to bring to the table. They're both scheming scamps. But they also rub up awkwardly against each other—their interpretation of what is appropriate to do for the greater good, the danger posed by how both of them love to bury their big angry emotions, their interpretations of what is permissible to take part in when you're in a committed relationship (I doubt BJ would care if Trap is fucking around behind Louise's back, but I think he would care very much if he and Trap were an item and didn't have a preestablished agreement, whereas this is just something Trapper is inclined to do by his own admission). God, I love all of it. I'm gnawing on them.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? —Is it unpopular to say that I think if BJ and Trapper were at the 4077th at the same time, they'd be thick as thieves? I don't know if it is. I feel like I see contrary suggestions to that all the time, but I also think I've seen plenty who agree with me. I think the nature of their wariness with each other (Trapper can have a little BJ Complex as a treat) is purely their sense of either their lack of self-confidence/if they're enough of a man/lover or their awareness of exactly how massive a bridge they set fire to upon their departure. If those things do not come into play by having them be in the same space from BJ's first day there, then there's a lot less for them to bite at each other about.

Viridian is a total rope bunny. again, you lost another comrade. a close one. you worked with her for quite a long time and you both grew attached to each other, but she ended up doing while coming across an akatsuki member.

with slumped shoulders, red, teary eyes and a heavy heart you went back home, dropping onto your bed the moment you stepped in. burying your face in your hands, you cried out, loud. your sobs echoed through the entire room, your hitai-ate coming off lose and falling onto the bed.

that put you under depression. it was always your comrades who died in the hands of akatsuki. your touch was considered lethal at this point, no one wanted to work with you anymore. whoever did, ended up dead in the hands of the akatsuki.

the loud sobs turned into quiet whimpers. soon the atmosphere fell quiet, and you took the hitae-ate into your hand, and stared at the konohagakure's symbol on it. maybe you weren't fit to be a ninja. maybe you were meant to be just a civilian. maybe you weren't meant to be born into the namikaze clan. maybe your uncle minato trained you for nothing.

a million thoughts ran through your head, and you hadn't noticed when the window opened and an intruder walked in.

"yo!" a voice echoed and you screamed, not sensing the sudden presence. kakashi put his hands up in defence, and you calmed a little.

"what are you doing here?" you asked him with a slight frown in your voice. "i just came to check up on you- wait, have you been crying?" he asked with concern, stepping closer to you, which only made you step back.

he stepped closer, and you stepped back, till your back hit the wall, and till his figure was towering over you. "darling," he started, pressing his forehead close to yours and you swore your heart jumped a beat and pink flushing your cheeks and ears.

"please don't touch me...i don't want anything to happen to you as well...all my comrades died in the hands of akatsuki, even asuma. i wouldn't be able to handle the pain of another comrade of mine dying..." you trailed off, making kakashi scrunch his brows in worry.

kakashi was your best friend, a comrade, nothing more. why was he calling you darling? why was he so close to you? why are your foreheads touching? before anymore questions ran through your head, he gently cupped your cheek.

"it's not like that. what makes you think that touching you or you touching me would kill me? it's all bullshit, the villagers have a sick mind if they think that. death is in everyone's fate. it comes when it wants to. it is unstoppable. your touch in fact, does things to my heart..." he trailed off, holding your chin in his hands.

your hands raised, wanting to cup his cheeks, but you stopped midway, shaking your head and pulling them away. "kakashi, these hands have only held weapons, killed numerous people, have been stained with blood that isn't mine. and you're too precious to me to be held by these filth of hands...please, no." you looked down, tears building up in your eyes again.

kakashi sighed, taking your hands in his and he pressed your palms to his cheeks. "not to be selfish, but if anything, they're made to hold me, convince me that you're there with me. convince you that you're not alone and you have me." he smiled, kissing your palm softly.

the second day after the incident, there kakashi laid, half his body buried under the ground as he ran out of chakra while protecting choji, dead. you saw this just before you heard your neck being snapped by pain, leading you into darkness forever with your beloved.

Second part of my artwork for Chapter 3 of And All This Time You Held My Heart.

Having fled the States pretty much on impulse, following the fallout of Kurt and Glenn being kicked unceremoniously to the kerb by Blaine and Sebastian respectively, our boys head to Sebastian’s home country of France, to allow some time for the dust to settle. They subsequently find themselves spending 8th November 2022 - the 11th Anniversary of the very first time they met, in Parc Monceau in the 8th arrondisement of Paris, snuggling together under a huge Sycamore Maple tree that bears the carved initials of 11 year old Sébastien Baptiste Smythe.

Finally able to lay bare their truth about how they both felt that day back in 2011 (Sebastian had a certaintly that kissing, then in time, fucking Blaine, with his mesmerising, Kaleidoscopic Amber eyes, would be like Comets and Supernovas colliding and exploding around and inside him, and Blaine was sure that the charming, über-confident and debonair boy with the almost permanent smirk and sparkling green eyes, would be his ultimate undoing), it becomes crystal-clear that despite the numerous missteps they have both taken, they have always been each other’s missing Puzzle piece.

Blaine’s startled and upset to realise that while yes, for a nanosecond all Sebastian wanted Blaine to be was a notch on his extensive One-and-Done bedpost/list, Bas had very quickly realised he wanted to give Blaine the world, and was in fact devastated to discover that Blaine was "attached at the hip to a prancing Pixie." A fact that according to Bas, the Warblers had never seen fit to mention to him.

For his part, Sebastian is stunned to learn that during their extensive Text and phone sessions back then, (that Blaine finally concedes were seldom 'Family-friendly' and he was in fact often the instigator of his borderline emotional/cyber-cheating on Kurt), Blaine found it increasingly difficult to not just say, "Fuck it - Carpe Diem" - a phrase Sebastian repeated to him pretty much on a daily basis back then, throw caution to the wind, and just let Sebastian show him an incredible night to remember.

But Blaine wanted more than to just be a one-night-stand or Fuck Buddy to Bas, and he knew if he blew it all up with Kurt just to experience the Sebastian of it all, and was then cast aside like every other boy Sebastian slept with, it would have absolutely destroyed him.

The realisation that all those years ago they were both too scared and too inexperienced to be honest about how they were feeling - not to mention Bas' repeated revelation that he knows full well that he wasn’t emotionally equipped to be the 'something more' that he wanted to be for Blaine, at that time, has them both kicking themselves for avoiding the one topic of conversation that they never touched on during their nightly deep chats that very often ran into the wee, small hours. Had they done so, they might have found themselves on a very different path - one that led to a completely different outcome for them both.

But Sebastian also knows that while hurting Blaine was the very last thing he would ever have wanted to do (and ironically ended up being exactly what he did do), his immaturity and lack of experience with relationships, would have ultimately led to that happening - albeit in a hopefully much less aggressive and violent manner than it did. And Sebastian wasn't made for failure.

Again, not wanting to spoil the upcoming chapter too much, they both realise they've wasted many years harbouring secret (or not at all secret in Bas' case, if you ask the Warblers!), unresolved feelings for each other, and not even Blaine experiencing the green-eyed monster at the appearance of one of 16 year-old Sebastian's (very tactile and persistent) Fuck Buddies while they're out clubbing in Montmartre, can dampen their elation at finally having a chance to rewrite their story, almost 8 years after their massive fight...

More Donovalex hcs featuring: Affections, physical contact, and love languages!

Snark. One of their biggest ways to know that they're still cool with each other is that they can snark back and forth. If Alex is really upset with Donovan, he starts being way more stubborn about what he's saying and refuse to let shit go in any conversation. If Donovan is angry at Alex, he will ignore him for weeks at a time if necessary.

Both of them are really bad at traditional gestures of affection, but Donny is significantly worse. Neither of them have any experience, but Alex is willing to put himself in the line of fire that much easier and Donovan still has some walls that he's built up and can't break down just yet. He either freezes in the face of pure affection or puts up a facade of bad jokes and wisecracks to hid that he doesn't know how to deal with direct love.

Instead, Donovan's way of expressing that he cares about Alex is through the little things. Instead of holding hands, it's the constant punches to the shoulder and elbowing each other. Ribbing him about not eating enough and being scrawny, but always grabbing some extra snacks so they can have something for the late night. Checking that he's okay through little jokes. Talking Alex down from panic attacks and nightmares and helping him slow his breathing back to normal.

When Alex finally figures out exactly how many times a day Donovan does things like that, he's fucking floored. He knows how much Donovan struggles to express his feelings, so it's all the sweeter.

Alex is better at somewhat more traditional gestures. He's the one who does the 'inch a little closer' thing during movies, classes, anytime he can. His attempts to hide embarrassment behind snarking tend to be a little softer and still usually involve complimenting Donovan. If he could actually stop blushing half-way through them, he'd be using dumb little pickup lines every ten minutes.

Their other big shared love language is acts of service. For Alex, that means helping Donovan out of his worst moods and trying to find things that would make him happier in general. For Donovan, this means helping Alex lift heavy things and offering life advice to calm Alex's anxiety.

Donovan is the type of person to give lots of small gifts. He tries to play it off as a joke but it's also how he eventually learns to take bigger risks and lets himself be a little more open in the relationship.

Alex doesn't give gifts nearly as often, but they're usually pretty sentimental. He wants to be able to do more casual gestures, but he chickens out a lot.

What few cliché things they do, they fucking commit to.

Alex's favorite cliché gesture is kissing Donovan's hand. D freezes up every time, but he also never actually pulls his hand back.

Donovan's favorite is taking Alex's breath away with somewhat cool feats, usually of the strength variety. Alex always very visibly chokes on his breath and turns red and doesn't make any stupid remarks for a solid ten-fifteen minutes.

For all their complaints when they have to share a bed (blanket hog vs cold limbs and Donovan's feelings about physical contact after all of the bullshit he's been through vs Alex's internalized crap about how guys are and aren't allowed to act around each other), they always end up tangled together if they can fall asleep.

Long-ass buildup to holding hands. Takes them months and they still get awkward about it (much more so than about anything else).

They both blush when embarrassed, but in completely different ways. Alex turns red (and it creeps into his neck) and starts fidgeting/talking more to hide nervousness. Donovan's blush isn't as visible, but the aura of emotion radiates a solid three feet outwards and he becomes a lot quieter.

Like with expressing affection casually, for Donovan that includes physical touch. He prefers the casual version to the sappy one early on. Pulling Alex into headlocks. Using the excuse of crowds and not wanting to be separated by accident to keep one hand pressed against Alex's back for those few extra minutes. Letting Alex fall asleep on his shoulder, but not leaning in unless he's sure no one's around and it's been a solid 20 minutes and he's too tired to freak out about it further.

Alex does his best not to push it in part because he's also struggling w/physical contact that isn't just typical bro stuff (a lot of internalized shit that he'll have to unpack one of these days), but also in part because when Donovan takes any step forward by his own choice, it's so much easier for both of them to work through than if he'd been pushed into it.

Once he gets used to them again, Donovan really likes tight hugs. It's part of the whole 'feeling small' deal, but he's comforted by the pressure and he almost melts into the hug.

Alex prefers more relaxed contact (I feel like he'd start getting claustrophobic if he couldn't move), but he also likes getting hugs because it reminds him of how gentle Donovan actually is despite all the muscles and how much that's why Alex loves him.

Their compromise thing is holding hands and Alex either squeezing Donovan's hand or tracing small circles on it with his thumb.

38. Who is more sexually experimental? Who's more vanilla? oooo spicy~ 😏 Rylin absolutely has more experience! He's a lot older (I have an age difference thing don't @ me) but also he didn't grow up IN the Empire, so he had more... opportunities.

However, once Ash is comfortable with Rylin, he ends up being the kinkier of the two, and is the one who gently pushes Rylin to try new things in bed. Turns out Rylin is a BIG ol' sub when actually given the chance hehe

As for Ren and Phin, Ren as the most experience, and Phineas is absolutely a vanilla old man. He's open to new things with Ren, but Ren is also more than happy to keep things vanilla for him.

49. Does either of them have a hard time being away from the other?

Rylin has a harder time with it than Ash does, always. He's a very protective person when it comes to the people he loves, and it doesn't help knowing how dangerous Ash's smuggling can get. He does a pretty good job of not being annoying about it, but he's always tense as fuck when Ash is on a job without him. He claims it's not just because he misses Ash, but when he starts to act tense and stressed when HE'S the one on the mission without Ash, everyone in his family kinda (lovingly) calls him out on it.

Ash, on the other hand, is not used to having someone like this, he doesn't mind his time away, and when Rylin leaves, he's worried on some level sure, but not any more than he would be for Threes or Rell. He's always more than excited when he sees Rylin again, but it's not as hard for him in general!

Ren and Phin are both very independent men, and function pretty well solo or together. Ren does ask that Phineas at least stays near some form of communication so they can check in, especially when Ren's going to be away for a while, but frankly, both men are so busy most of their lives, that they're not thinking so much about their time apart, but planning how to finally spend their time together.

51. What’s a non verbal way they say I love you?

Ahhhhh ok so this is a bit on the nose but Rylin does the Keldabe Kiss to Pax (Ash, but before Rylin knows he's Ash lol) in the field a lot, just like a little headbutt as a sign of affection that he's used explicitly bc Pax doesn't know what it means.

(the problem being that Ash was half raised by clones and knows EXACTLY what it means)

Ash isn't very good with Expressing Emotions (can't imagine why) so he's very very very into the like acts of service type of affection. He likes to get up before Rylin and make caff and breakfast, not bc he feels like he should, but he likes making Rylin happy. He likes waking up with Rylin knowing that he's being thought of.

Ren and Phineas are very similar in this fashion. They're both prone to overworking in their own ways, and they both end up basically forcing the other to take a break. Ren's go to for Phineas is running a bath and making Phineas relax while Ren takes care of cleaning him.

Phineas would never dare try to get Ren in a bath, it would go about as well as a bathing a feral cat, so his go to is giving Ren a back massage. He's surprisingly good at getting the tension out of Ren's muscles.

(Both of these activities generally the end the way you'd expect 😏)

Dabi:

• You were scared to tell him. What if he doesn't approve it, what if he wasn't ready.

• You tried to give him hints at first, like what he thinks of kids.

• He would say "well kids are annoying" your heart dropped "but they're sweet and innocent" he added smiling to himself and in his mind imagining being a dad.

• You would gather your courage and tell him that you're pregnant.

• At first he was so nervous what if he wouldn't be a good father and ends up like his dad.

• You would reassure him also Shigaraki and Toga would tell him that he'll be a good father and he'll be able to protect his family.

• Would hold you in his arms in the very delicate way.

• Prepares breakfast in bed for you.

Kirishima:

• It was his idea to have a child in the first place.

• When you had symptoms he suggested you take a pregnancy test.

• Would wait nervously in the living room.

• When the test appeared to be positive you screamed.

• Would rush to you , when he saw you smiling and tearing up he became really really happy.

• He would spin you around then put you down realizing that you're pregnant now and he needs to be careful with every move.

• Wants to have a big family with you, maybe 5 or 6 kids (good luck).

• Would be very sweet and spoils both you and the child uwu.

Bakugo:

• You were waiting for him in your bedroom.

• You waited for him to change and relax first, you knew he's gonna freak out at first.

• The moment you told him you were pregnant man would panic.

• Nervous af, despite his strong appearance and personality (almost passing out).

• Would question himself, would he be able to raise a child?

• You have to reassure him and tell him that he'll do great.

• He would calm down and thanks you for giving him the best things ever.

• Would be very protective, not letting you do even the slightest tiring thing like waking up from bed by yourself "Kastsuki i can walk".

• When the child is born he would be careful to not curse or say words such as 'dumbass' and 'bastartd' in front of your child.

Shoto:

• You were both enjoying your dinner at a fancy restaurant celebrating your 1st anniversary.

• You suddenly fainted.

• He would hold you bridal style rushing to the hospital and there the doctor told you that you're having a baby.

• He would hold your hand and gently rubbing your belly while you were laying in bed.

• He would cry from happiness.

• Would do his best for both of you.

• He suffered from a tough childhood so he wants to make sure his child doesn't experience the same thing in any possible way.

• Would do everything for you like putting your clothes on and taking them off.

• Would prepare relaxing baths for you and then joins you to give you a back massage.

Deku:

• Ah this man loves children.

• It would be the best day of his life.

• He grew up without a dad so he wanted to experience a dad-child relationship.

• He often tells you how sweet it would be to have a child that looks exactly like you.

• You and your friends ( Uraraka, Iida and the others..) prepared a surprise party for him, you even invited All Might.

• You thought he deserves to be happy and take a break from his tiring job. So the party would be two in one; surprising him with your pregnancy and making him take a break from his work.

• Would be surprised to see everyone there, well it wasn't his birthday not yours either so what would be the occasion?

• The moment he heard everyone saying "Congrats you'll be a dad" he started crying.

• Would hold you in his arms protectively.

• Would kiss your belly.

• Would talk with the baby inside your belly EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Denki:

• This man has a habbit of buying a lot of baby clothes and toys even before knowing that you're actually having a baby.

• He likes the tiny pair of shoes and thinks it would be cute to have a mini version of him running around.

• You would prepare a cake written 'Hello Daddy' on top of it.

• He got the wrong idea at first ,he literally thought you wanted to do heated things with him and tried to turn him on by calling him daddy.

• He was so confused like you could just ask why would you be extra about it.

• When you corrected him, he would take a while to process the news.

• Would jump on you and give you a long kiss.

• Would also cry from happiness.

• Very excited to be a dad.

Shigaraki:

• He was so lonely his whole life without a family or a lover.

• So when he met you, his life started to have meaning again.

•You were so nervous to tell him, scared of his reaction.

• What if he doesn't want a child now? What if he leaves you?.

• But the moment you started muttering "I'm pregnant" his eyes widened and tears started streaming on his cheeks.

• "really (y/n)?" i swear his smile was the brightest.

• He wrapped his arms around you taking you in a warm hug.

• Now he can understand the full meaning of the warmth of family.

• Hopes to have a twin. He wants to make his family bigger as soon as possible.

Aizawa:

• Normally Aizawa doesn't show emotions.

• But when you rushed to his classroom excitedly interrupting his lesson telling him that you're having a baby, he was over the moon.

• It was the first time his students would see him smiling like that.

• Happiness drawn on each inch if his face.

• He would kiss your hands and forehead.

• Would whisper a soft thank you while resting his forehead on yours closing his eyes imagining how more graceful and happy his life would be now.

• Totally forgetting that others are watching you.

• They would congratulate both of you.

• This man is husband material af.

• He would take a good care of you or lets say extra good care of you!.

Spike and Faye Pairing Analysis

Ah the hit or miss pairing of the century! If you don’t love it, you probably hate it lol. I’m a very analytical person so I love analyzing works of art and overall enjoy deep discussions about them too. I have SO much to say when it comes to Cowboy Bebop (and oh I plan to), but I have decided to start with my very own OTP. Here, I am not really going to discuss Spike and Faye’s feelings for each other, but rather why I think people are drawn to this pairing and why I think they're totally valid. Get ready for a long read!😁

⚠️SPOILER WARNING!!! [Major Cowboy Bebop and the movie Out of the Past spoilers]⚠️

First off, let’s clear something up. I am confident most of us can agree that Spike was in love with Julia. Some people assume Spike and Faye fans are deranged and disregard Spike and Julia’s romantic relationship to try and make something of Spike and Faye that never was. While some people may have their various theories and opinions on this, generally, I don’t think anyone denies Spike’s love for Julia. As we will see, this pairing is not really driven by who loves who...let’s first look on the surface.

I don’t know your experiences with the series, but in mine, every time I show this to people it never fails for someone to say something along the lines of,

“Wait, they don’t end up together?”

“Why didn’t he kiss her!?”

“He should have stayed with her...”

and so fourth. 

Naturally, this pairing catches many eyes. 

Think about it, you are given two really cool, really hot and really deep characters that are really fun to see together! There are so many parallels between the two and they are arguably the strongest characters of the bunch. Granted, you can agree with this and still not ship them, but these aspects are part of what opens up the door for many fans of the pairing.

However, there is certainly more to this pairing than them simply looking good together right? As the years pass and I’ve now seen the show multiple times, my understanding of it has evolved in many areas, Spike and Faye included. 

Spike and Faye really couldn’t have ended up together. Sure, it’s a nice thought, but It would have been an entirely different show if they had. I don’t feel that the show should have happened any other way and I don’t think many other fans would either. 

So, what am I saying here?

What’s the point of this paring if I don’t think they should have ended up together? 

It is what's so frustrating about them, yet keeps you coming back and what honestly validates this pairing in my opinion. Spike and Faye are not driven by what is, but rather, what could be.  

I personally feel the themes of classic film Noir are not discussed enough when it comes to Cowboy Bebop! This is one of the show's major influences, especially when it comes to the plot and characters.

One of the common tropes of a film noir is that of a protagonist who is drawn back into his past and ultimate doom, usually by the “seduction” of a femme fatale. In these movies, the women are either a femme fatale [devious, dangerous, mysterious, greedy, troubled, or unreliable] or a woman of virtue [reliable, dutiful, trustworthy, conventional and loving]. 

I am going to use the 1947 classic, Out of the Past to make my comparisons from here on out.

In Out of the Past, Jeff is a former detective who gets caught up in a love triangle between a gangster and his girlfriend Kathie, sound familiar? He attempts to run away with her, but is betrayed and runs off to start a new life in a new town. Here, he meets Ann and falls in love with her, but of course, his past catches up to him and he is drawn back into the world of criminals (largely by Kathie’s involvement). This ultimately results in his and Kathie’s deaths and Ann’s heartbreak. 

Even though Kathie is the femme fatale in this movie, I found myself comparing her more to Julia’s role in the show, than to Faye’s and I found that Faye actually fit best in Ann’s role (this is a bit unusual considering Faye is typically seen as the femme fatale of this show).

Does that mean I think Julia was as ill intentioned as Kathie or that Spike fell in love with Faye? Well, not exactly, let’s look at it a bit further.

“The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can’t leave alone...Like an angel from the underworld or a devil from paradise.”

Most of what we get about Julia is from Spike’s point of view. From this, we learn she is at the center of Vicious and Spike’s conflict, but aside from that she is basically depicted as “The Virtuous Woman” of a noir. The colors around her are warm and she is shown caring for Spike. There is an innocence and modestly about her as well.

Yet, when we finally do meet Julia, we get a different image. We know she is tied up with dangerous men, but is she herself a dangerous woman?

She is certainly capable of betrayal. 

Suddenly she is a bad-ass-gun-toting woman in leather and black, surrounded by hues of grey and dark blue. Intentional or not, Julia is a major part of what lures Spike back into the past and ultimately to his death. In this case, Julia is the femme fatale of Spike’s story and thus, their relationship is doomed from the start.

Faye, on the other hand, is portrayed in somewhat of a contrast. When we first meet her, she is the clear cut femme fatale, appearing cunning, strong willed and seductive. However, we soon find that she has quite a bit of kindness and naivety hidden behind her facade. She uses the former tactics as a way of emotional (and probably physical) protection. Gren points this out in his conversation with her. 

Gren, 

“You’re just afraid they’d abandon you so you abandoned them. You distanced yourself from the whole thing.”

As the show progresses, we start to see less of her “femme fatale nature” and something more genuine. Think about it, between Hard Luck Woman and RFB Part 2 we don’t see much of Faye as her typical conniving or unreliable self, aside from changing the course of the Bebop maybe. Sure she takes off, but it isn’t at all for the same reasons she did in Jupiter Jazz or Speak Like a Child, for example. 

I would argue we actually see her more trustworthy and caring than ever. Since I don’t want to spend too much time talking about Faye’s character development (not here at least) I’ll give one example of this. 

When she returns to the Bebop after her encounter with Julia in RFB Part 1, she gives Spike the message, even though the outcome might hurt her (i.e. he leaves and/or dies). While she does first say “It’s gonna cost you,” she doesn’t really mean it because she tells him without hesitation only moments later.

This isn’t to say Faye good, Julia bad. Both women have their layers and even though we know way more about Faye, I don’t get the impression that Julia is selfish and cunning like Kathie was. But I do get the feeling she was enclosed in a world of crime and betrayal the way Kathie was. We really only know the basics of Spike and Julia’s situation. Who knows the details like motive or how long it lasted etc. etc. We can only speculate...

There is a scene towards the end of Out Of The Past, where Kathie tells Jeff to go away with her. This time it is her asking him, just like Julia asks Spike. During this she mentions,

“I never told you I was anything but what I am, you just wanted to imagine I was. That’s why I left you.”

This got me thinking...did Spike imagine Julia as something she wasn’t? Or something he wanted her to be that she just couldn’t be? 

It could explain why we get such contrasted images of her.

There are themes of this “dreamlike” relationship between Jeff and Kathie, similar to Spike and Julia’s “It was all a dream.”

The two of them were going to “live and be free,” probably something neither of them knew how to do and most likely wouldn’t have been able to get away with.

When Jet asks Spike if he can just forget the past, this is his answer.

Spike,

“There was a woman. For the first time in my life I saw a woman that was truly alive. At least that’s what I thought. She was the part of me I had lost, that part that was missing, that I had been longing for.”

I always wondered about this, because Spike is clearly talking about Julia, but right after is when Faye shows up. To me, that spoke volumes...

Faye is a woman who is terribly human and terribly alive.

Going back to Faye and Ann, I find their similarities shine not so much in the “Virtuous Woman,” concept, but rather in Ann’s dedication to Jeff and her optimism for the future. She is also the last person to talk to Jeff before he leaves for the final time, as if he were being presented with one last alternative. Spike spends his last moments with Faye as well, in which she basically begs him not to go and keep him in the present that she has now discovered for herself. She may be stuck, but she is definitely someone that yearns for human connection, love, and life.

The problem is, Spike and Faye are both set in opposite directions. Her’s leads to a future and Spike knows this because he points it out early on (My Funny Valentine). He also knows, his most likely does not. He has already dug himself too deep into this hole, if you will, that there is really no turning back. 

But let’s say none of that was an issue? What could be?

I sat and watched this movie (Out of the Past) with my mom. She didn’t know anything about it and didn’t know why I was watching it. I wanted her genuine reaction. The whole time she was getting mad at Jeff until the very end. I asked her why and she said that she wanted him to be able to live happily with Ann. I explained to her why he had to do what he did. She understood this, but still couldn’t help but be sad at how things turned out for him, when they could have been good.

Even though Kathie and Jeff are the “lovers,” of this movie, you don’t really want them to end up together. Forget that Kathie has a devious nature, regardless, you know where it has to end and you don’t want to see your hero die.

Like Kathie, Julia symbolizes Spike’s inevitable doom and Like Ann, Faye symbolizes his possible future. 

“I’ll be with you till the end”

                           “You’re the one still tied to the past Spike!”

                                                               “Why do you have to go? Where are you going? What are you gonna do, just throw your life away like it was nothing?!”

It’s two sides of a sad coin...

We want Spike to have a future and because we love the characters of the show, it would be really great if he could have it with them, but that is where the tragedy is. It's only an idea we can think about, a possibility presented to us as it was to Jeff and Spike before their deaths.

The bottom line is, when it comes to Spike and Faye you are really only given a taste. You are not given what you expect to see, which is why I say this ship is driven by what could be. As it is with most of the character relationships in the show, no major breakthroughs are made until the very end, when it's too late. Then it just feels like such wasted potential, but sometimes in life, that's how it is. And thus, we have been given a very classic noir here ladies and gentlemen!

So no, I don’t think people miss the mark when they ship Spike and Faye, nor do I find they invalidate the show by any means. I kind of like that Watanabe switched it up and didn’t do the expected, but left us those subtle hints. He didn’t outright give Spike another lover, but he gave us someone that represents what he could have. Kind of does that with the crew as a whole too!

UGH. I love-hate this show and I love this pairing! Thank you for reading my thoughts and I know this may not be the case or reasoning for everyone, but just based on what I have seen around the community and where this show draws inspiration, this is what I have concluded. I didn’t get into Spike and Faye’s feelings for each other because it gets a little more theoretical there, but I would like to do a post on my thoughts on that as well sometime. I also didn’t touch too much on Spike’s reasoning for choosing to face Vicious in the end, just because I know that will only lead into a whole other analysis lol. But you know I have my thoughts on that and certainly plan to share them 😎 Also, I know I basically spoiled it, but Out of the Past is such a great movie!! I think if you’re a fan of this show it's definitely worth a watch! There are so many more parallels to Cowboy Bebop that I didn’t even mention. Anyways, thanks again and talk to you soon!

Love is Everything

I am guessing that the feeling I am experiencing right now is a result of having Saturn either in the 4th house, or in a Moon ruled Nakshatra. Frankly, I am guessing it's the Moon ruled Nakshatra, even though Saturn is in domicile in Capricorn, that is still pretty tough due to the nature of the Nakshatra.

Since I was a few months old, until I graduated high school, I was running my Saturn Mahadasha. In a way, it was a tough period because I felt like my personal uniqueness and feelings were not recognise and I had to hide a lot with who I am in order to survive in my family. I knew who I was inside and I was pursuing it regardless. Saturn periods are never easy...but Saturn is a yogakaraka planet for my Libra Ascendant. I think it is also a mix with my Mula Dasha, which were also in Shravana until I was age 12, that gave me an intense Moon-ruled Nakshatra upbringing, which then fell apart together will all the Shravana dashas.

The reason why Moon ruled Nakshatras are so naturally attractive for others is the internal feeling of safety and cushioning...a feeling they take from their families. Then, as this is what they are used to, these people reproduce it throughout their life. They easily attract the emotional warmth, that they are used to receiving. They stay safe and protected, because they take it for granted.

They say that it's hard to have a messed up life, but it is worse to know what happiness is, then lose it and then struggle to have it again. Because then, you know exactly what you're missing. People in your life who love you create a feeling of giving you a full heart. They don't even have to say anything, but their love is visible in every look, every kiss and every touch. To grow up being used to giving and receiving love from a group of people, and then lose it all bit by bit, while realising that it was a big lie, is something I wish on no one.

I don't even miss the past, or regret it. I am a better person now. A fuller person, more self aware, closer to being myself than I ever was before. I wouldn't go back. I wouldn't give away the consciousness of what I know, the development of my gifts. I don't believe in returning to a fantasy, knowing that the feeling of safety I received was at the expense of me being able to be authentic and went together with me being forced to obey and conform. I'm glad that this phase of my life is over, and whatever new connections I form, will be better and they will be based on truth as I am no longer a child and no longer owe anyone anything.

What I miss is the feeling of having a full heart. The feeling of warmth that only comes from love. I wouldn't want it on the same, flawed terms as in the past, but I still believe it's essential to happiness for anyone. Ever since I lost my family, I tried to create new, better connections, and I gave to others, because I truly believe in a healthy exchange in both friendships and romantic partnerships. And every time I gave, every time I tried to create something good for myself, I was rebuffed and abused for wanting to do well by both myself and the other party.

I understand that it is hardly my fault if someone else is not receptive to me, and that I just deserve better from people, and that it is better to try and fail then not try at all. But it always hits me when I watch fiction...how so many of these so called tragic heroes, even if they're orphaned, always have people behind them. Friends, mentors, a partner, an adoptive family. That is not how reality looks most of the time, if you experience a profound level of loss. New people don't just appear overnight. I say that as a very serious introvert, who heals and copes by spending copious amounts of time alone and doesn't need to socialise 24/7...getting close to 10 years after my family life disintegrated, doing my best at every turn, putting in serious effort into all of my connections, I am no closer to having anything for myself in that regard. I am only more damaged, for having invested years in people, that have proved to be a source of strife instead of support.

I have one friend, which is probably why I'm still alive, that I met quite recently. I got so used to living and walking around with a seriously fragmented emotional system, that seeing works of fiction reminding me that I can feel different was seriously triggering. Seeing that familiar feeling of warmth resounding within me only made reality more painful to come back to...and illuminated my choices of the last 10 years, of having invested emotionally for so many years first in one person, then another...in order to create and sustain that positive, life-giving feeling. And seeing all of that amount to nothing.

I am plenty comfortable investing in my own efforts. But life without a feeling of love will just always feel empty for anyone. I don't believe in sustaining toxic dynamics, no matter how desperate I would feel, whether that is family or not...and I don't believe in endlessly investing in people who have offered no effort on their part and wounded me so seriously and never took my feelings into account in the first place. But I don't want my life to end like this. I don't want to die alone with an empty heart, knowing I could have created things and had good experiences, and being painfully aware that my life ended with me existing as a half-dead version of what I could have become, despite my best efforts. I don't want to die with a half dead, frozen heart, that was slowly killed over time and never had the chance to return to life. I don't want my only positive experiences in life to be a mirage with relatives, that never really appreciated who I actually am. I want to be allowed to create something real with people. I don't want my life story to end with me in this state, before it even started for good.

why i love it: i really love omegaverse fics that invert the usual takes on the tropes (and this is one of them!) and it just really is a great look at their dynamic. i really like this take on mikey and nate as a whole, as well

why i love it: i just think the premise of this works so, so, so well for them-it’s another great idiots to lovers vibe for nate and mikey, and the whole concept of drunkenly telling your crush you love them via snapchap? yes, good, correct

summary: “What are you doing here?” Mikey asks, trying and failing not to stare, but Nate’s staring right back, like he’s also not sure what’s going on.

“Well, it was either a familiar face or no face,” Nate says with an uncertain smile, like he’s not quite sure he’s allowed to make a joke.

why i love it: perhaps i love it because i like to hurt my own feelings, but this is really just a well done fic that really just hits. it’s honest and emotional and you can feel the weight of that throughout it, but it does have a pretty light hearted ending that is good and hopeful. bonus points for being one of my favorite break up make up fics ever and currently my most read fic of 2021

why i love it: magic au!!!! i cannot stress how fantastic the world building is in this series (you don’t have to read the tknp fic that’s first to follow what’s happening, but it is worth the read) and mikey’s feelings towards nate and his own struggle is just!!!! honestly i’m just a series of exclamation points about it all

summary: Mikey has known he’s liked guys since the first time Nathan Bastian smiled at him. That’s the thing, almost everything about Mikey’s sexuality has involved Nate — which isn’t necessarily bad. In Mikey’s humble opinion, Nate is the perfect person to fall in love with. Highly recommended. Mikey doesn’t regret putting all his eggs in that basket for the last six years.

why i love it: the pining in this, the emotions of it all-just absolutely top notch all the way around, and really just what i wanted out of a superbuddies fic. it really just feels so right for nate and mikey, and i just love it

summary: When Mikey learns his roommate Nate isn't going home for Christmas, he drags Nate back home with him for break.

Or, the one where Mikey thinks all of his feelings for his roommate are platonic, and everyone laughs at him for it.

why i love it: me picking between this and hannah_baker’s other christmas centric superbuddies fic was like picking a favorite child. this is one of my all time favorite takes on mikey in any fic, and i always love a good college roommates au. just such a wonderful fic

summary: “I can’t go to sleep yet,” Mikey murmured against Nate’s mouth, “I’m not tired.”

Nate knew this couldn’t be true, his and Mikey’s season had just finished and they were both exhausted. Still, Nate knew what Mikey meant when he said he couldn’t go to sleep yet, that he was too wired up, because he felt exactly the same way.

“I think I’ve got a way to make you more relaxed,” Nate said, mouth curving into a smirk as he brushed a hand over Mikey’s cheek. Mikey’s mouth smiled against his own.
