OMG so I just got a cute headcannon for @phoenix-manga 's Diamond Crown Academy!! So I think Allison is a big fan of movies and she and Madison would binge watch movies together, which would make their father furious because they weren't practicing being 'ladylike' and it was a way of them rebelling against his values. I think they brought the movie watching to DCA, they would invite the dorm leaders to Futterwacken, even the general chaos of the dorm would not deter them, they would totally introduce the other dorm leaders, especially the girls or princesses who were not quite exposed to 'binge watching' movies, such as Briar or maybe Vidya and Kore ( My DCA dorm leader oc twisted from Megara from Hercules) and they'd fall down a rabbit hole (XDD Alice in wonderland reference💀) I think after they've watched movies at the Futterwacken Lounge Room, eventually they would expand the movie dates to each one of their dorms, (except Coquille, unless there's an accessible way idk), Pommeneige, Glastanzerin, Dragonstone, etc. They would bring popcorn and other snacks that they enjoy or are native to their culture. I'd think that Perrine would bring one of her....interesting food combinations to the movie nights that would gross the other girls out lmao. They would bicker in the beginning about what movies to watch, not calling names, Evonie and Allison LMAO, The others would eventually come up with a solution, each of the girls would get to choose whichever movie they wanted on the movie nights according to dorm order so Evonie, then Ella, Allison, etc. The girls would make up theories and conspire amongst themselves as to how the movie would progress and if there would be a plot twist, although some might get shushed by the others who were trying to listen to the dialouge😝. They have movie nights once a week on any day they're all free. The teachers and even headmistress allows it bc they think that the girls bonding over movies is adorable. Also, Puchi would definately want to join and snuggle under soft blankets while eating popcorn LOL.

Now, when it comes to personal preferences i think each of the girls would like different genres. Firstly Allison would love comedies, prank shows, really anything to do with fun and chaos. Evonie, Vidya, Kore and Jinlong would like movies with a strong female lead, who fights for what she believes is right and is confident in her goals and what she wants, the girls would feel inspired and overall motivated. Maybe Vidya would like whatever the twisted wonderland version of bollywood films are, she might get confused with the drama and the overly dramatic music that comes up during the arguement scenes tho. Ella would like a rom-com, maybe a cheesy love story that makes the others uncomfortable, with a charming prince like male lead and lots of lovey doveyness. Cerule would probably like i envision a kdrama for some reason. Something with a 'follow your heart and dreams' message. For Rozeline, i have many hcs. She'd like mystery and crime solving shows, something with a lot of thinking out of the box. But maybe she would also like horror and gore. Its funny imagining Rozeline watching horror jumpscares calmly while everyone else is shaking in their seats lmaoo. Elu may like a nature documentary or something that pertains to her likes of navigation. Perrine would enjoy cooking shows for new ideas and inspiration to add to her recepies. Lastly, Briar would like something family oriented, like a story where a found family is developed, it would make her both happy and sad because she longs for a loving family (SJFKFKRKEK I LOVE BRIAR SO MUCH THE MUNCHKIN NEEDS A BIG HUG ). I also have hcs of what my DCA OC dorm leaders would like to watch. Firstly Holly, (Twisted from Rapunzel from Tangled) would like a thriller or just something with adventure and exploring with plot twists. I already talked abt Kore so lets move on, Noelle (Twisted from Elsa from Frozen) would like something to hate watch, like a rom-com. She thinks romance is overrated and she watches romcoms for the sole purpose of writing page long reviews on how bad it was💀💀.

Bonus: If Yuu and Sophie joined their movie nights one night and Yuu brought the OG disney princess films from their world, and the girls are watching the movies and are just confused because, why do those princesses/heroines in the films look similar to their dorm founders, and by extent, themselves. And why do the villains remind them of certain wild boys from a prestegious school. Sophie would be a mix of curious, confused and excited while Yuu would just snicker in the background like the smug lil bug they are bc they know whats going on and decided to be a menace. XDDD but thats just my little hc on the girls hehe

mmm im confused by what you mean? Erlang did burn down FFM in jttw very close after the fight with Wukong was over, killing half of the mountain's monkey population. yes, we can consider this harsh because it is, but there is the cultural context that at the time this was set, patricide and regicide was two of the highest crime one could commit, and Wukong did try to dethrone the Jade Emperor. thats attempted regicide. if you were convicted of either, youd be executed and as added measure, a lot more people would too!

all that said, in this au Wukong and Erlang still are sworn brothers and truth be told, they get along quite alright! im not yet sure if i'll make the Lotus Lantern story fit into it (i think Chenxiang and MK would get along like peas in a pod whdbhwbdj) but we'll see.

Sure thing! Here's a short-ish snippet of Atreus and Calliope arriving in Ironwood, and meeting Angrboda (and best boi Fenrir loll). Keep reading under the cut if you don't mind spoilers ;)

Also, quick note, I've decided to start posting the fic this Sunday, Nov 5! I'd say it's close enough to Ragnarok's release date loll And since it's also my birthday, I'll release the first two chapters together so y'all don't have to wait for Atreus and Calliope's first meeting XDD After that, I'm not sure whether to post once or twice a week, so feel free to let me know what you guys would like!

The warm breeze and golden sun of Jötunheim greeted Atreus like an old friend. He breathed in deeply of Ironwood’s pleasantly sweet and earthy smell. He was home for the second time today!

Angrboda’s treehouse lay before them. Excitement pooled in Atreus’ stomach at the sight. “We’re here! Welcome to Ironwood, sis.”

Before she could say anything, the comfortable quiet of the afternoon was broken by a sudden, familiar howl. Brother-cub! Fenrir called, carefully trotting over to them despite his instincts to run and leap with excitement. Ever since Atreus placed Fenrir’s soul in Garm’s body, his dear wolf had to be mindful of his size when moving among the smaller Giants.

Atreus laughed and rubbed Fenrir’s large nose. “Aww, Fen! It’s so good to see you! Hey, Calliope? It’s okay, come on out! Fenrir’s my third wolf, and a very good boy. See?”

Calliope peeked out from behind Atreus, staring at the wolf with wide eyes. Fenrir blinked at her. New cub?

“That’s right, she’s your new Sister-cub!” Atreus gently took Calliope’s hand and placed it on Fenrir’s nose. Slowly, she began to pet it.

“Hello,” she said quietly to Fenrir. “I’m Calliope of Sparta.”

New cub, Fenrir rumbled, snuffling the front of her dress as he took in her scent.

Calliope gradually relaxed. “You have Giant wolves too?” she asked Atreus.

“Aside from Fen, there’s just Sköll and Hati, I think. He used to be normal-sized like Speki and Svanna, but … Well, it’s a long story. But he lived with me and Father.”

Welcome, Sister-cub, Fenrir said happily. His tail thumped once on the ground with a muffled boom. Calliope jumped, but soon went back to petting Fenrir’s snout.

“Is Angrboda around, boy?” Atreus asked.

“Right here, Loki,” came that warm, welcome voice. Angrboda stepped out from behind Fenrir, a playful smile on her face.

Something bright and bubbly burst in Atreus’ stomach, spreading through his chest and tingling up to his scalp. He moved forward as if in a dream, and their fingers entwined. And then they were hugging, his nose buried in her dark locks as he breathed in the faintly floral, Ironwood-y scent mixed with the herbal tints of her paints. Her cheek was soft against his. She pressed closer to him; her breath gusted over his ear and neck, and his knees trembled.

When she pulled back, Atreus leaned forward before she could and kissed the edge of her mouth. Oh – damn it, he’d been aiming for her cheek! At least he wasn’t the only one blushing now.

Angrboda squeezed his hands and kissed his temple. “I’m so happy to see you, Loki. Safe and soundly, too.”

“Thanks, Boda. It’s great to see you, too. How is everyone?”

“They’re all doing good! I’m sure they’ll know that you’re here, thanks to Fenrir’s howl.” Angrboda glanced around Atreus. “Uh, so where’s that sister you were talking about? Oh!”

Calliope was once again hiding behind Atreus. Fenrir sniffed at her curiously, completely giving her away. Atreus chuckled to himself and drew Calliope to his side. “Hey, sis? Remember me telling you about Angrboda? Well, here she is! Boda, this is Calliope.”

Angrboda crouched down so that she was eye-level with Calliope, and beamed at her. “Hi there! Your brother has told me quite a bit about you. You like music?”

Calliope nodded shyly. “I like the flute.”

“That’s lovely! We have some musicians here, and artists, and others besides. But what do you say to getting settled, first? I made up a little bed for you, right above mine.”

Calliope nodded again. “Thank you.”

Angrboda stood and held out her hand. To Atreus’ delight, Calliope took it, and the three of them went to Angrboda’s treehouse.

To be fair, there are some differences between the anime ep 18 and the manga ch 58 (FROM Astolfo getting the knife from his father TO the vampire calling him foolish). I remember Sensei? uploaded some of her rough sketches for the anime script, but I cannot go dig and find the link myself right now, sorry!

About the bonus manga for BD/DVD - I remember there were some page(s?) that Astolfo tells Olivier about his new vampire “friend” and Olivier recalls young Roland and himself. Which is now explicitly connected to the manga ch 58 (NOT the same drawings, I think?), where Olivier confesses he knew about Astolfo’s secret vampire “friend” but failed to see the danger because of his childhood memory with Roland. (Please do NOT ask me where to read the bonus manga, I myself have no idea!)

I thought Sensei told the anime staff beforehand about her full plans for the unfinished (at that time) Amusement Park arc and only it (which was already quite insane speed tbh asdfg). NOW I see she told them even further (than Noe/Vani roof scene in ch 55(!)) - more details about Astolfo’s parents and vampire “friend” in ch 58. No wonder she was SOOO busy over the anime...

It’s also clear that she already has her plans ready for future plots, at least by some level :’))) I saw some worry about the possibility that she might “run out of plot ideas” and so give up on continuing her own VNC, but honestly it’s the last thing to worry about in regards to VNC and Sensei, oops XD I mean, please don’t underestimate her (and her works, including the bonus created by her) XDD

Some of my online friends introduced me to ur VN, "Love the Guard Become the King," and now I've been playing it obsessively for the past few days.

After going through ur blog for more information, I was surprised to learn about Murdoch, Mathias' older brother. If it's not too many spoilers, would you be willing to share some more information about the eldest Yvanson sibling?

Or if you can't right now, would you be willing to share the heights of the royal siblings?

For some reason, I can just picture Mathias getting so annoyed if Mandra wound up growing taller than himself now that they're all adults. Mel is probably still shorter than her two eldest siblings, but I could easily see her wearing some fancy boots or heels to make her taller than them both for fashion and just to mess with her older siblings.

Hmmm. I can share some general info about him, yes! Murmo (Matt's nickname for him) was 3 years older than Matt. He was the life and joy of Elias and Yvana, the perfect little crown prince, and he LOVED the idea of being a monarch and having Mathias as his advisor, even if they weren't super close emotionally.

Murdoch was almost the symbol of the unification between the Tides and the Yvansons, so when he died in 8:24, a lot of the nobles saw that as a bad omen. He died in the same year Melike was born.

I have a short story about him called "The Summoning of Mermaids" on my ko-fi page if you'd like to check it out! ^^ For now, it's only for ko-fi supporters, but I'm preparing to release it in a booklet with my favorite short stories of 2023. Here's an excerpt so you can see a bit more about him:

Before Murdoch could answer, Mathias flumped from the tallest rock on their climbing site and into a dying wave. He raised his chin in a challenge.  “Brother. Don’t. You. Dare,” Murdoch hissed. “To do what, Your Royal Stinkness? This?” Mathias—that pesky brat—kicked a big splash towards Murdoch and ran, laughing like a devil. Mandra squealed in Murdoch’s ear and giggled. "I want splash too! Me down, Murmo!" “Goddess, what did I do to deserve this?” Murdoch took in a deep breath, waiting until the water ran down his face. For all his brains and education, Murdoch always felt like he missed a very human component in his relationship with other people. He was either serious, focused, or angry, with no in-betweens. He didn't have that touch that seemed to come naturally to Mother, Mathias, and even Mandra, sometimes. What Murdoch had, though, was a ruined taffeta cravat and a headache wholly improper for a ten-year-old.

And about the heights, hahaha! Yeah, Matt would lose his head if Mand were taller than him xD he's lucky he's almost a monolith XDD The sprites show their height difference! Master Mercúrio is the only person in the group who's taller than Matt. Melike quite likes her height, though! She's used to making people bow to her, so she doesn't feel like her height matters. >8)

AAHHH!!! I *finally* got to play a little more Phantom Liberty today öahjsdföasklfasfhdfs

First I wanted to riot slightly cause GoG didn't find my install anymore (but rescanning folders did the trick).

Man OH MAN. I'm really just rambling about how fucking cool this game is below the cut, but beware of spoilers!!

"How the fuck do I keep ending up in these situations..."

I played all the way up to meeting Reed and agreeing to work with him back in the President's hideout. This was also the point up until I'd seen the gameplay at Phantom Liberty Tour back in August, but I also saw a loooot of new stuff o.o The demo back then started at entering the Stadium (when V walks through that area with cyberarms hanging from the ceiling) - stopped at meeting Myers in the crashed plane - continued at arriving at the hideout with her and then ended, as I said, with shaking hands with Reed.

SO. The whole "how do we get the president to the hideout" sequence was completely new to me AND MAAAN. That Chimera fight was so good like?? The whole setup and everything, I didn't expect such a big and epic boss fight so early on in the expansion at all, really sets the tone I guess xD First V gets his face bashed in by the President, then gets his ribs broken by this thing, things can only get better from here on. That whole section gave me such Bioshock vibes actually like... the Art Deco architecture the "amazing city that turned out so awful" vibes, it's impeccable, and I love it so so much. Really gotta take some time to properly explore everything (and now I gotta wait for Reed to call me back so, best opportunity).

I saw that thing under the tarp and was like "oh yeah, later on in the story this is gonna come back to bite me in the ass" - only that in this case "later" was "five minutes later" not "10 story missions later" as I anticipated XD

Also, I gotta say, I really don't trust Myers or Songbird much at this point with their intentions. I mentioned this previously... how convenient for Songbird to know to contact V via the Relic, but how the hell did she know about it in the first place, that he had it, where he was at, etc.? And then, in the Space Force One Wreck there was the shard with the answer! They knew about the Konpeki heist and two involved mercs through an informant potentially working at Arasaka. Yet, when I then deliberately chose a dialogue later on where V was like "yeah, I got Arasaka's Relic stuck in my head" Myers was all "oh, what really! how peculiar!". And maybe she really didn't know and I'm reading too much into it, but I'm really not liking her vibes atm at all XD (as a character though she's so cool, not at all how I'd picture a typical NUSA president, and I get the impression she doesn't really like the role all that much - I wanna read up on her background lore as soon as I'm done playing XD). AND. The shard on the plane specifically mentions Johnny on the Relic AND I'M CALLING IT NOW like I called it before, I BET they're really after Johnny's engram to do some experimenting with it for some fucked up Militech scheme. And in return V gets to live or some crap. URGH. I hope I'm wrong but I said it before "Phantom Liberty" (if you read it as in "a ghost that was freed" or "no real freedom") screams to me that this all boils down to something happening to Johnny in a messed up way in the end in exchange for V's life. Analogue to the Devil ending, but instead of Arasaka you have Militech/NUSA (if I'm wrong, please don't spoiler it to me, and if I'm right or close, please don't spoiler it either XD I wanna see just how far off I am myself XDD)

Songbird being MIA is hmmm... Not quite suspicious, but I'm wondering if she is still alive or maybe also doomed to be a construct now, but I'm really not sure. It would be kinda disappointing, I'd like to meet her in person still and am excited to see what she is gaining in all of this. I like the tragic "gifted criminal kid turned government asset" trope a lot and I'm curious to see how her story develops.

I'm also loving all the lifepath specific dialogues so much, I'm actually learning something new now and then about what Vince's Arasaka job was actually truly like at the core!

Also Myers roasting him for not having had a high enough security clearance to know about Reed xDD So rude! But I'm so so so curious how Ex-Arasaka agent with occasional homesickness to the corporate world and FIA-Sleeper agent with a big Arasaka-grudge are gonna work together o.o

I feel like, they're either really gonna see eye-to-eye very much or will continue to clash over and over and V is gonna come out as the loser at the end of this xD But currently, me as the player I'm trusting no one, and Vince as being caught up in all of this tries to play nice and be on everyone's good side but behind the scenes does not trust any of them one bit either xD It's really more a one hand washes the other kinda deal for him with no long-term obligations.

I'm also LOVING Johnny in all of this so far like... Vince and he don't get along that well most of the time for a variety of reasons. And so far, even though I got the Sun ending as my canon (as of right now), I feel like Vince acted more out of desperation than real trust or anything in going down that path and not any other. So I think Phantom Liberty *might* be the storyline that has been missing for me personally so far to really legitimize to myself that Vince would trust Johnny enough to let him take over his body for that last mission or go on a suicide run through Arasaka Tower with him. They are really seeing eye to eye on a lot of the stuff that's going on, both paranoid and suspicious, both not liking to swear any oaths or work for the FIA or anything like that. Bonding over their shared dislike for all the secrecy and scheming xD

Speaking of timelines, I found an ingame date for the 16th of June about an meeting Myers was to attend and another meeting scheduled for June 18th - sounding like the 16th is already passed at this point and the plane crash probably happening on the 16th or 17th or something like this... which completely throws my previously established timeline overboard :D But also stretches the canonical timeline a bit, if my assumptions are right, which would be nice and a lot more realistic than "like, a month, for all of that to happen". (For reference, in my timeline for Vince without PL I put the last quest on June 9th).

But that's only speculation ofc!

Then I also had my first vehicle gig for Muamar and omggg I loved this little convo with him so fucking much?? Like, this really built up his character so nicely, and the whole car stealing scheme would also be super down Vince's alley XD

And this exchange I LOVED sm:

Vince, car nerd surpreme, offering to fix the Cap's car, and Muamar's response: certain things I don't do halfway -> my clothes, my cut, my cars. Vince 100% seconds that sentiment XDD Like, so far I have to admit Muamar never really grabbed me that much as a character and I felt like he and Vince probably didn't have much in common. I was wrong XD

I also wanted to pay Mr. Hands a visit in his funky pyramid, but he wouldn't let me in yet. I'm so looking foward to finally playing his gigs now :D And seeing what else Dogtown has to offer in terms of stories and side jobs :o

Others mentioned it already, but I'm loving this place's design so so much... it feels like a different city altogether, the style of the buildings and everything is so unique and it's such a biiiig sprawling place o.o

And a random little thing I noticed, there's a lot of little cinematic moments now (the contextual removal of the HUD for conversations for example is such a good new feature). And occasionally the camera will automatically pan to interesting events or V's optics zoom in automatically - it was a bit weird the first time it happened but I really like it in a way? I noticed it during the part of rescuing Myers where you had to sneak past the huge Barghest drone (also such a good good moment, I'm loving all the stealth, parkour, and whatnot, the level design is *so good* hhhhh).

And finally, when I decided "okay, I'm gonna go to bed now" and was just about to close the game... I got a text message from Kerry I didn't know yet :DDD

Like... I did not expect new texts from the LIs, and yeah, this got me really excited xD (and yeh I obviously had to read all the different outcomes and there *are* some differences depending on what you text back. I love it sm). AND. Then I called him. And there's new conversations about the events of PL too??? Hello?

Man I wish there was something like that for the other missions but obviously, with how late-game Kerry's romance is that sadly doesn't make much sense. So this is also something that made me tremendously happy (and also adds some new depth and bits and pieces to Kerry's character, which I'm always so here for XD). Exicted to see if there's more to talk about with him as the expansion progresses - I doubt it, but I'm ready to be surprised, maybe also by the other main NPCs that you're not in a relationship with.

That one V will definitely bear in mind for whatever is to come. Hhhhh I'm so excited!!

Mix 18 – Ugetsu’s grand return 🥳

Ohh sorry so much I was meaning to write about this chapter since awhile, but my job was demanding lately and I also got new obsession to over-think *cough* BSD Stormbringer *cough* But here I am finally getting time to gush about Ugetsu and Mafuyu xD

(btw i had fun with creating new pfp with this picrew)

This post will be more Ugetsu-centric – I will focus on Mafuyu later on together with covering mix 19 – though maybe after full scans will be available since judging from spoilers it relies a lot on visuals. But in short, it is so beautiful chapter with Mafuyu’s arc blooming 💖

As for now - what can i say -  mix 18 is simply perfection. Feel prepared to me simply counting up things I loved xD

Honestly I love everything about it  – finally getting Ugetsu’s return in such amazing way, the way Mafuyu was portrayed in such human and vulnerable way and character development of them both. Besides, interaction between them were pure gold xD I liked how funny was clash between their personalities, which balanced more serious and angsty side of this chapter.

I really like how Given is consistent with themes and parallels between all characters, especially Akigetsu and Mafuyama in this one. It feels very thoughtful how Natsuki-sensei planned all of it.

Okay, so let’s start digging~~

If you read my analysis of Ugetsu’s booklet from movie  - you know that I was concerned with how he was shown so alone and isolated from outside world; with no human interaction except that text from Akihiko.

Honestly I literally gasped when he admitted that by himself in this chapter xD

Really wow – such development considering that he started as character ‘i-have-no-friends’ and neglecting himself in lot of ways. He went long way T_T

I really liked his vibe in this chapter – it really feels that he thought over his life and changed. Even without clear destination – it feels symbolic that he no longer wants to live in temporary hotels and wants to sell his old house ( which was symbol of his cocoon) – like butterfly he is now free to live fully and make connection with outside world.

So proud of Ugetsu~~

I am really curious if we will got more spinoff or something about Ugetsu – it really feels like some part of his life ended, but new possibilities are ahead – I really love how carefree he ponders on his future. Also since Natsuki-sensei mentioned on her twt that she made changes to booklet story to include improved version to Given vol.8 – I still think she likes Ugetsu quite a lot xD

Okay, let’s move on Mafuyu-Ugetsu bond ~~

I love their dynamics so much – in this chapter it was really perfect way how to show kinda mentor-student relationship should work (and without mentor dying per trope *sighs in bsd*).

I loved how Mafuyu opened to Ugetsu about he is going through – because of he knew what’s Ugetsu been through and how they are alike, these factors helped him to admit his deepest worries and insecurities. Though this arc Mafuyu talked to others, but it was the heartfelt connection between MafuUge that let him to be more at ease speaking himself. Like Ugetsu being comfort friend for him like no other.

I love Mafuyu reaction to Ugetsu’s spontaneous decision to go together to SYH live :D

They are just perfect xDD

On more serious side, I really liked hands symbolism in this – at first Mafuyu is uncomfortable with this decision like feeling desperate that Ugetsu didn’t understand him and grasping him to wait, not wanting to go and confront Uenoyama.

But then after they talk more – Ugetsu’s points get through to Mafuyu. I also loved how Ugetsu knew what to say and  how help Mafuyu. Like literally he said what Mafuyu needed to hear – both calling out on lack of communication with Uenoyama, making good points on indecisiveness having painful consequences, and praising him for trying his best.

It is great too that Ugetsu didn’t handed full solution for Mafuyu – ‘only’ provided support and good insights and ultimately gave Mafuyu push in right direction, which is taking him by hand to SYH debut (meanwhile Mafuyu ceasing to resist).

What’s more, it is really good that they got separated in the crowd – Mafuyu has to alone make decision for his own future and this is giving him that free space. After all, from story perspective mentor is supposed only to show protagonist way of living and giving advice like fundament -  and protag must have built on that by himself and go beyond.

Besides, I really love that callback to chapter 27 – on one side we have that emotional scene with Ugetsu/Mafuyu crying due to being terrified of what comes with future, and to balance that we have frame with comforting ‘all will be okay’ providing support to one another.

Excuse me now to cry in the corner a bit T_T

Ngl Ugetsu looking melancholic when Mafuyu brought up his story with Akihiko also made my Akigetsu heart weep a bit too T_T

Finally - to end on positive note,

mentor-student dynamics is often show that student could achieve at what mentor didn’t succeed -  that’s why imo (contrary to Akigetsu as these ships were paralleled in this chapter) Mafuyama will get their happy ending with most likely pursuing music as career. And since story established that Mafuyu and Ugetsu and inspiring and helping each other -  I hope one day we will get Ugetsu happy ending as well – by that I mean him being renowned violinist while having friends and/or loving husbando xD

Okay I don't know if the song fits for Mint Eye but I suddenly really want to make an animatic or something for 'They're Only Human' from Death Note the Musical with Unknown/maybe Suit Saeran(??) as the male voice and my OC Eunjoo as the female, who gets wrapped up in Mint Eye chaos

I guess the general setting could be them in the control room stalking the RFA (the pathetic 'humans'), watching them on cameras and things

Saeran mocks them and sneers, but Eunjoo is more merciful; like Saeran, she is brainwashed by Rika and ill by the causes of the elixir and so her perception of everything is warped - but a sliver of herself still remains. She still has the tiniest drop of compassion, which Saeran rages to stomp out

In Mint Eye, she's kind of plopped under his 'care' by Rika as like an apprentice or something, so they're forced to be around eachother

Which Saeran hates of course, but he actually comes to tolerate her company when he realises they work together quite well. They become sort of a team. It's kind of wholesome, even though the entire thing is built upon Rika's orders and Mint Eye's paranoia.

So for the song I guess

There are the two main voices, which would represent Saeran and Eunjoo in my idea - and they're arguing over their opinions surrounding the RFA.

There is a lot of push and shove in their dynamic - Saeran is clearly dominant and Eunjoo submissive, which ties into the song's two perspectives and its intensity; the male voice is so clear in his hatred, whilst the female is almost like 'hm...I'm...not sure' in response. She's reluctant to curse them quite so freely and openly.

Maybe I could try to do a couple of flashback scenes where they glimpse their lives before, maybe just in rapid flashes. It might be cool!

Saeran if he saw Saeyoung, would flip out with cracked memories of his childhood. He'd be distracted and that hatred soars even more.

But Eunjoo might see past flashes of the RFA, who they're actually watching live on the cameras - seeing happier times, and that's because Eunjoo still remembers little pieces, even if they're very faint. She was friends with the RFA and even dating Yoosung (two wholesome jellybeans haha). And slowly she realises that she doesn't want to target them. The line at the end where it's something about wanting to see 'this thing they call love' could be her subconscious remembering lil Yoosung and how she craves the happiness the RFA had once embraced her with, but now she'd lost - and tumbled into the depths of Mint Eye.

And also like the argument in the lyrics, Saeran would sort of bully Eunjoo as to why she would ever still care about the RFA. And probably mock her once relationship with Yoosung too.

Meanwhile (I don't even know if it's possible but it might be funny if) Saeyoung might be monitoring their cameras too, or maybe just picking up their audio - like

I can see what you're doing here and it's definitely interesting. It is that back and forth that comes from trying to figure out what is right and what is wrong. There's a lot of symbolism that you can play with as the two of them debate what it means to be human.

Since it’s clear your MC cannot be fully broken from love no matter what they do, her being compelled to chase after it makes sense on Rem’s part. “I’m intrigued by their love”. She might have forgotten what it felt like but that doesn't mean she is uninterested in reaching out for it again. You can try to keep her hopeful as she reaches out for it and then smack it out of her hands with Saeran.

He finds it more amusing to play around with them since they have no value to him. They're just means to the end. The members of the RFA don't really matter to him. It's just his revenge that matters to him and getting to them will get him what he wants. “They don’t see all the years they can give you and me!” Just as they can’t see all the “information” they can provide Saeran to win his game.

So the funny thing about the creature in the last few panels, is that most people seemed to jump to the conclusion that its Burntrap. I think its mostly due to the body shape and its purple eyes.. Which is fair.

But also may I remind ya’ll that in my AU, when a bot of some kind is “infected” with “the bug”..

@subspacecadet Foxy and Bonnie might not know what that means, and just assume you’re calling them “furry”, like they’re covered in fur. Which for Foxy is like “Yeah duh, I have a fake fur coat” and Bonnie’s thinking “My shell doesn’t really have fur but okay-”

Same would go for the Glamrocks. I don’t think they would know what that really means.

The only character that would probably know what being called a Furry means is DJ Music Man funnily enough. He’s always hanging around older kids in the arcade and might have heard them talking about Furries once. In which he would know being called a furry is usually supposed to be an insult. In which he would be offended on the Glamrocks behalf.

Random kid: “I don’t like Freddy, he’s a furry! >:(”

Except in my AU, Vanny didn’t find Gregory. Gregory didn’t stop somewhere nearby and sleep in a box. Gregory just kept running, and was never found.

Although after part 2 of “Bits and Pieces” is posted, I plan to take a break and really build up my FNAF AU more. A lot of my timeline is left blank, which needs fixing.

So with that being said, my AU might be re-written and this ending will no longer be canon. :/

I didn’t really have any dialogue planned out for that doodle. But I imagine Sunny is in tears because someone finally visited him after months of being all alone.

He’s probably stumbling over his words asking Foxy about everything that’s going on outside the Daycare. 

“Have you seen DJ?? Is he okay?? He’s still in the arcade right?? Are the others okay?? Why has no one come to see me?? Have they all forgotten about me?? What’s going on out there??”

And Foxy’s just like:

Did she really? Whack. But it doesn’t really matter because Monty mix isn’t really a thing in my AU for 2 reasons.

1: I completely forgot it existed and thus didn’t write it into my AU--

And 2: I don’t think there would be a logical reason for it to make any animatronic that consumes it go crazy.

In my AU, Chica attempts to consume food during her “malfunction” for reasons unrelated to Monty Mix. And the animatronics don’t have stomachs, its not like she could eat it, absorb something toxic in it and go crazy. If anything she could consume it and it clogs her up internally and she shuts down. But again this doesn’t matter because I didn’t write Monty Mix into my AU-

I mostly draw through muscle memory. And I don’t really know how to describe how I’ve learned to draw the way I do. I guess I looked at how other people draw faces and tried to mimic it. I guess its like-

“Okay I drew this sad face, but it doesn’t really look that sad.. lemme look for how I can improve this face.”

“Oh! This artist also drew a sad face! And they drew the eyebrows a certain way, that makes the character look really sad :( Let me try that!”

And then I draw the weird eyebrows, see that its an improvement, and draw it like that from then on-

Rosalie Mackenzie Poe, younger sister to Edgar Allan Poe by 5 years. Rose is currently 23. 

Rose was very close to her brother when she was young, but when she turned five years old, the death of their parents caused the siblings to be split apart. Rose was taken in by the Mackenzie family, where she lived for three years until her adoptive parents died in the Great War when she was eight. From there Rose lived in an orphanage until she was sixteen. 

Orphanage life was similar for Rose as it was for Lucy in the sense that she wasn’t singled out and hated like Atsushi, but she was treated poorly along with the rest of the children. (i do not have it plotted that Rose and Lucy came from the same orphanage, but would be open to that idea if someone wanted to plot that with me). Given that Rose used to live a fairly nice and stable life in terms of wealth and basic needs before, this was a drastic and harsh change for her. However, it was here that she met her best friend, who had an ability named “Lenore”. The two grew up together, but when they were both sixteen, Rose’s friend grew terribly ill and wouldn’t get better. The girl knew that she would die, so right before her illness took her, she gave Rose her ability and told her that she would have a better use for it than her.

The ability didn’t manifest at first, and Rose found herself too grief-ridden by the loss of her first and closest friend to figure out why that was. That is until she was visited by a raven. She spoke with it (though the conversation on the raven’s part was all in her mind) and it told her that yes, the grief is overbearing and she will never be fully rid of it, but she can choose to let it overwhelm her or she could use the ability her friend gave her to finally escape this terrible place. So, Rose did. And upon summoning her ability, she learned that it was no longer called “Lenore” but is instead now “The Raven”. 

Rose ran away from the orphanage at 16 years old with nothing but herself, her new raven companion, and an ability she still struggled to use and lived on the street. When she was 17, she found an article in the paper about an investigation competition, and the runner-up was very familiar. She realized that this was her long-lost brother, so she did everything she could to try and find him--she never did, given that he spent most of his time locked up in his room after that.

She made money by writing short stories, but it wasn’t much. Even so, it was enough to get by. When she realized her brother was in Japan of all places, she impulsively bought a one-way ticket to that far-off country to find him again.

Rose is largely based off of the short story “The Raven”, which you guys can probably tell XDD She is rather impulsive and argumentative, and her biggest flaw is never knowing when to shut up. She was seen as “touched in the head” because of her forwardness, but that’s really just an issue with deeming outward spoken women as “crazy”. She still has her pet raven whom she has named “Nevermore”.

Rose’s ability, “Lenore”/”The Raven” is very similar to Demon Snow in the sense that it’s a giant battle lady that she commands. The ability manifests itself to look quite a bit like Rose’s deceased friend, which does hurt Rose quite a bit. Even though the ability is now called “The Raven” under Rose’s control, she still calls the actual manifested form of the ability “Lenore”. This ability is based off of both the short story “The Raven” and the poem “Lenore”. Yeah, the ability Lenore and the best friend both represent the wife of the narrator in the stories.

Rose’s friend was her gay awakening, but she doesn’t talk about that since it hurts~ She isn’t actually fully gay; she’s pan but female leaning.

|| SO gonna reconstruct Anne's backstory, so this post is going to explain the new details, as well as explain Adrian, Anne's twin brother (younger twin)~ These things are super open to change, so they might not actually stick in the finished product. A lot of this has to do with how Fontaine works once we know more about it~

Background info!!

To start with, I'm changing their last name. Thinking about something with the root word "Diabolus". Any ideas of what to do with that would be SO appreciated!!

Anne and Adrian are in no way related to Diluc anymore. Their family has no apparent roots to Mondstadt anymore. Yeah, Anne looks a lot like Diluc, but that's just coincidental~ The Diabolus (working name until I change it XDD) family has lived in Fontaine for generations and has been an aristocratic family that is quite close to the Hydro Archon. However, everyone in this family has, for generations, seen Focalors as a joke.

Even though they are high class nobility in Fontaine, this family runs the criminal underworld of information in all of Fontaine...as well as all of Teyvat. That organization is called The Underworld, and Anne is the current head (this hasn't changed). She has branches in every nation with an executive acting as the head, but with the changes to her character, she doesn't need a Fontaine "executive" since she already runs this branch herself. She runs the Fontaine branch as well as the whole Underworld (though I may have Adrian do most of the Fontaine branch stuff...maybe idk)

Anne and Adrian are hella close. They've been inseparable from birth. Anne is the older twin and Adrian is younger, and Anne has always been much stronger than Adrian. She was a strong and tough girl who always loved running around and getting into things, but Adrian was rather sickly as a child and couldn't always keep up with his sister. Whenever he couldn't keep up, his mother would keep him company.

As children, Anne was a lot like their mother--brave, strong, and so emotional and free-spirited. By contrast, Adrian was just like their father when their father was a child--quiet, shy, ill-bodied. But the two had each other, and that's all that mattered.

Their mother loved them very much and gave them enough love for both of their parents. However, their father was not a very affectionate parent. He loved his children, but in his own "proper nobility" way. He didn't play with them. He was always working. He was very distant from his children. Anne didn't really like him because of this, even as a young child, but Adrian still wanted to get his attention in any way possible.

I'm not sure when this will take place nor do I know much of the details, but at some point (maybe when they were around 10..?) SOMETHING happens that puts the family in danger. I really don't know the specifics and I would like to bounce my ideas off of someone, but what I want to end up happening is at some point Adrian is with his mother and sees her get brutally murdered right in front of him (like a shot through the head or something, something to really scar him) and I want something to happen later where Anne defends Adrian from a potentially fatal attack, getting her hand deeply cut in the process but also giving Anne her vision. Anne then burns herself with the intensity of her vision (her passion is INCREDIBLY strong and unstable, after all) and Adrian gets his hydro vision shortly after to heal his sister.

So their mom dies and Adrian sees it, and the two get their visions within the span of a few days at most~ But that was a long time ago. It has affected Anne, of course, but it really affected Adrian. He's now terrified of losing anyone else that he loves, so he does whatever he can now to keep his loved ones (especially Anne) safe, even if they don't need it. Even if they don't want it.

At some point fairly recently, their father retired and appointed Anne as the new head of the Underworld and the head of the family itself. She didn't want this, but she didn't want Adrian to be stuck in this role either, so she took it. That much hasn't changed.

In Anne and Adrian's original story, they have a very close connection to Lia (who I made for the same story, actually). I want to keep that connection. So, whenever Lia in her genshin verse fled Snezhnaya, she found the Underworld (either she was told to go there or she happened to find them) and Anne and Adrian kind of took her in for a bit and allowed her to lie low. They would NOT normally do this, so I need to figure out why they would do this for her (they are not a charity here). But in the time they kept Lia hidden, both twins fell in love with her, and Lia didn't return the feelings. They still keep tabs on her in Mondstadt. Anne just wants to make sure she's safe, and Adrian is a bit more...obsessive. (THIS DOESNT ALWAYS APPLY!! If I have a ship with Anne or Adrian that has lasted for a few years before the current story timeline, said twin did not fall in love with Lia. But if they weren't in a relationship when Lia was under their care, they fell for her.)

Hydro, thinking I may make him a bow user... Maybe a catalyst. The only reason I would make him a bow user is because his body is still kind of weak, but if Baizhu can be a catalyst user, so can Adrian XDD

Anne is scary because she's powerful, not just as the head of the Underworld but also because she is crazy strong with her pyro vision. However, Adrian is scary because he is unhinged. He's unpredictable, and if you cross him (or ESPECIALLY his sister) your life is in grave danger. Your only hope is to get on Anne's good side so she can restrain her brother.

Adrian is so loyal to Anne. These twins have a lot of death/grim reaper/devil motifs. So one way you can think about the twins is that Anne is Hades and Adrian is Cerebus. He is like her dog when it comes to work (but she doesn't treat him like a dog, she treats him like her younger brother who she loves so much. But he's very dog-like).

I don't exactly know what Adrian's job in the Underworld is... Maybe he will be Anne's right hand, but I think he will mostly be her most skilled informant. If she needs to personally send someone to get information, she will send her brother...unless she's worried he will make a mess of the situation.

BE CAREFUL WITH ADRIAN. He is totally yandere material. He can be nice at times, but he also highly obsessive when it comes to the people he cares about. The only reason he doesn't make "accidents" for anyone Anne is dating (thus taking his sister away from him in his eyes) is because Anne won't let him. Anyone else, however, he will cling to in an unhealthy manner. This will NOT be romanticized. This is just me exploring what Adrian's trauma has done to his mentality. But do not go into interacting with Adrian and assume he is some nice guy.

Adrian is my one token straight muse XDD I just don't see him being shipped with a guy...maybe this can change, but until then, these siblings only like girls XDD

Merula Snyde -- the self-proclaimed “most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts” in her day -- was Carewyn Cromwell’s main rival at school. From the moment they first collided, it was clear that the mean-spirited bully and the overly sensitive outcast were going to butt heads, regardless of them both being Sorted into Slytherin. Carewyn hated how cruel Merula could be and how she felt the need to put others down just to make herself feel strong. Merula hated Carewyn for how saintly she acted, and as they got older and Carewyn became more popular and put on more of a stoic, paragon affect, she only resented “Little Miss Perfect” all the more. To add insult to injury, Carewyn even ended up befriending Merula’s old friends, Tulip Karasu and Barnaby Lee, and they both looked happier in Carewyn’s company than they’d ever been in Merula’s previously. When Patricia Rakepick entered the picture, however, Merula thought she’d finally found someone she could look up to and who actually believed in her. Rakepick saw her potential and encouraged it, and for the first time in Merula’s life, she felt her bitterness and anger about how much life had always screwed her over starting to dissipate. She saw things more rationally and saw how letting her old rivalry with Carewyn was potentially preventing her from using her old rival’s knowledge to her advantage -- and so before going to the Portrait Vault, Merula approached Carewyn about what to expect. The two ended up finding some common ground half-way through -- wanting to break the Portrait Curse -- and even ended up coming to a truce. After Rakepick’s betrayal in the Portrait Vault, however, Merula was very badly hurt, and as was typical for the “Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts,” when she was in pain, she shut down and lashed out. She didn’t need help and she didn’t need friendship -- all Merula wanted was to make Rakepick suffer for having actually made her think that someone might understand her and that they cared. But when Rakepick returned and ended up murdering Rowan Khanna, Merula once again was shaken to her core -- for at the deepest part of herself, however much she claimed she didn’t care about or need anyone else, she truly didn’t want anyone to die. She did care about them: even if what Rakepick said about her being “no one’s favorite” was true, it didn’t change the fact that Merula herself did have favorites...people she was terrified of losing. And one of those people -- amazingly -- was her old rival, Carewyn Cromwell, who after Rowan’s death had come very close to committing suicide by denying herself food and drink and eventually shutting herself up in a closet with no intention of ever leaving it again. Merula was one of those, alongside Ben Copper, Bill and Charlie Weasley, and Carewyn, who was most instrumental in the formation of the Circle of Khanna. Despite Merula and Carewyn’s baggage making it difficult for them to ever call each other their friend, the two Slytherin witches nonetheless learned how to work together toward a common goal, and they understand each other in some ways better than any friend could, as neither of them feels much of an urge to pull any punches around each other. Whenever Carewyn needs someone who can challenge or “check” her, Merula is the best person to do it, and of course Carewyn’s high standards and ideals push Merula in a similar way. They truly have become better people around each other, simply by having to interact at all. As adults, the two ex-rivals will even get together for a cup of coffee now and again, when Merula’s passing through London between Cursebreaking expeditions. 

#hphm #hogwarts mystery #merula snyde #playlist #I apologize in advance for the basic AF eye edit #but hey camren does make a damn good merula #I'm actually surprised it took this long for someone to request a merula playlist I thought she was going to be one of the first ones XDD #but yeah first things first carewyn's story diverges from the game's plotline after the formation of the circle of khanna #so yeah I'm ignoring the whole 'mole' thing #another big difference between my merula and game!merula has to come back to her and carewyn's dynamic #carewyn quite honestly does NOT make herself easy to like for someone like merula #she does play into the whole 'perfect' persona that merula hates so much #carewyn can be judgmental and hard to please #so honestly it's kind of little wonder that merula grows to resent her so much #it does however also give merula the perspective to be able to call carewyn out for her shit #she is the one post-Portrait Vault who sees and takes her to task for how she's running around trying to help other people #while just fixing her make-up and clothes so as to look put together instead of healing her own injury or taking care of herself #merula sees how much carewyn can be all about image and looking like everything's fine on the outside #and is sharp enough to see right through her playacting #and because she doesn't act like one of carewyn's friends like bill or charlie do she doesn't see any need to sugarcoat it #so while they're in the circle of khanna merula ends up being a great foil for carewyn #carewyn is all about nurturing and caring for others and not hurting people no matter how much they hurt her #while merula is all about fighting and tearing down whatever obstacles get in their way regardless of who might get hurt #and speaking of the circle of khanna it's merula who cut through the guilt and self-hatred of the others to say they had to act #to do something that would keep rakepick from killing anyone else #so yeah her history both as someone who used to shut down her emotions to bully others #AND someone who learned to put aside her own personal issues to reach her goals #ended up lighting the first spark that led to the circle of khanna #yay for slytherin anti-heroes #particularly one who fights alongside the rarest of all breeds -- the slytherin paragon hero :D
