Hope I this turned out better than I think it did, but enjoy!

Word count: 1,5k

Your transfer from the top women’s football team in Italy to Barcelona was shocking to say the least. Fans and players collectively were surprised and confused at the news, especially after your phenomenal 2020/21 season.

The whole Barca team was astounded by your signing, but they couldn’t help but feel excited at the prospect of having you on their team. They’ve seen how good you are.

Your first training session with your new team was at the very beginning of the 2022 year and you felt good as you pulled the Barca training top over your head.

You had met the team a couple of times since you’ve signed, but they were yet to learn your reasoning for the sudden transfer. Yes, they believed that you’ve always been a Barca fan, but many of them felt like that wasn’t the full extent of your story.

 As you tie your boots you feel a nudge to your leg and you look up at the person.

“Aitana was asking you why you signed with us.” Claudia repeats the question and you look at Aitana confused.

“I’ve told you guys already, I’ve always wanted to play for Barca.”

“But is that all to it?” Aitana questions carefully and she studies your face for a second. Your expression falters at her heavy gaze. “We’re just curious and want to get to know you Y/N, but if you’re not comfortable you don’t have to.”

Taking a look at the rest of your teammates who all nod at the girl’s words and you take a deep breath, readying yourself.

“The coach didn’t like me, I was constantly benched from the bigger games. Barely brought on for the last 20 minutes.” you start explaining and suddenly the floor becomes very interesting to look at. “He said I wasn’t playing good enough, wasn’t fast enough and that he couldn’t risk bringing me on for the more important matches.”

The girls around you share a look and you feel a hand on your shoulders, Claudia smiles at you softly.

Your training session soon begins after your talk and as you near the end of it, you’re put into groups of 5, an end of session scrimmage 5vs5.

The players currently standing at the side, those who aren’t playing at the moment, watch dumbfounded as you dribble up the field with insane speed, nutmegging and outsmarting the opposing team before you cross the ball to Patri for a tap-in.

“How the fuck?” is heard from Jenni and Alexia smacks her in the arm for her use of language.

“No, but seriously, how the hell did her coach think she wasn’t good enough?” Claudia also comments and yelps as she gets smacked in the back of the head.

“Language!”

For the remaining 15 minutes of your scrimmage, the ten Barcelona players watch stunned as you manage to pull tricks on every single one of their teammates and your team eventually wins the game.

This wasn’t the first time they’ve seen you play, they've watched plenty of your games before, all of them big fans of the energy you brought with you every time you stepped foot on a pitch. But seeing your magic right in front of them was a whole different experience.

They couldn't be happier to get to call you their teammate and they’d make sure you’d never get disrespected by anyone ever again.

As the months passed by, you formed a close bond with most of the girls on the team and you were performing better than ever, Joanatan actually put you in for the majority of the games you’ve played so far.

There was one person in particular who you got extremely close with.

Claudia and yourself have been named the most iconic youngster duo at Barcelona. The two of you spent every waking moment together, becoming bus buddies not long after you joined, rooming together at away games and always reserving a seat for the other during team lunches. 

It didn’t take you long to realize your feelings for the shorter girl went beyond those you were supposed to have for a friend. 

With the Spanish already being a very affectionate bunch, you relished in the feel of Claudia’s soft skin on yours every time the girl would scoot closer to you.

Those not so subtle touches the girl sent your way wasn’t missed by your teammates who were counting down the days to when the two of you would finally admit your feelings.

Patri and Leila have already approached you on more than one occasion as they tried to convince you that your best friend did have feelings for you. You denied their claims though, you didn’t want to believe them, to have false hope. 

It wasn’t until the Barca team went to the beach on a random weekend towards the end of the season that things changed. 

You were currently wrestling with both Leila and Mapi in the sand, hair full of sand as the three of you laughed your asses off over nothing.

Claudia watches as your arms flex when you flip Leila over, her heart fluttering at how you still make sure she lands softly on the sand before you get knocked over by Mapi who laughs at the two of you.

Patri and Alexia sit on each side of her and she already knows what they’re going to say. You weren’t the only one who was constantly pestered by your friends.

“Come on, just tell her! This is becoming pathetic!” Patri exhales loudly as she throws her hands up frustratedly.

“Patri!” Alexia scolds the younger girl who just raises her hands innocently. “It’s not pathetic..you just, you have to admit it Claudia. Go up to her and be brave.”

Contrary to you, Claudia was aware of your feelings, but she didn’t know how to approach you. You were her best friend and even though she knew her feelings were reciprocated, she couldn’t help but be afraid of actually having to confess to you.

A not so gentle push to her shoulder brings her out of her thoughts and she looks at Patri confused. Her friend just nods towards where you are making your way towards the water, presumably to wash the sand off you. 

She takes this as her chance and as she stands up she’s again encouragingly nudged, this time by Alexia. She takes a deep breath when she nears the water, seeing your head reemerge from the water, she starts swimming towards you.

The giggle you let out when she finally reaches you is music to Claudia’s ears and she grins back at you before her expression becomes nervous. 

“What’s wrong Pina?” you ask concerned. She holds onto one of your shoulders as the waves seem to want to pull her under and you quickly follow by placing your arms around her waist.

She blushes at the contact and circles her own arms behind your neck as you hold her above the water. She realizes that she hasn't yet responded to your question and clears her throat.

“So uh I actually wanted to tell you something?” she starts “No, I need to tell you something. I erm..well you see..I-” she stammers nervously and you look at her, patiently waiting for her to finish.

She soon gets frustrated at not knowing how to confess and as she sighs, she momentarily closes her eyes.

You lean your forehead against hers, hoping your touch would calm her enough so she could say whatever she wanted.

Your thumbs rub circles into her skin soothingly and when she next opens her eyes she has this look in them, one that you can’t describe but it makes the butterflies go wild in your stomach.

Claudia opens her mouth again, seemingly wanting to speak again before she abruptly closes it. Her eyes bounce across your face as she stares at you before her gaze settles on your lips.

Your mouth grows dry at that and your breath hitches as she starts leaning in.

You close the distance between the two of you as your lips hug hers and the both of you sigh into the feeling of being so close.

She pulls you closer as she enjoys the softness of your lips and it’s only when you hear loud wolf whistling from the shore that you pull away and look towards your teammates.

They’re cheering, many of them have their phones out and Patri is standing with a huge grin on her face as she shows you two a thumbs up.

You giggle at the girls, pulling Claudia out of the water with you and pressing a kiss to her cheeks as the two of you get wrapped in a big towel.

I wanted to make a post shouting out some of my favorite creators, storytellers, and just general simmers from over the last year, mainly focused on ts4 since that's where my attention has been the most. Long post ahead so it's going under a cut. If you're not tagged please know I did wake up late today so it's not as complete of a list as I wanted it to be!!

@adelarsims - You are an essential in my mods folder!! I love how much realism and/or character your cc adds to sims, from things like the piercing holes to the wonky glasses to the mechanic overlay... Just so many little things that I can't imagine not having in my game or on certain characters now. Speaking of characters, your sims both original and premade are always so gorgeous, and I really enjoy your interpretations of wg and jeb. & Thank you for being WCIF friendly, I know it takes time to get that info but it's so appreciated, u've help me find some very beloved pieces of CC. Also the level of dedication u have to organizing your mods folder is incredible and you've inspired me a lot to get my folder's act together finally!! Which is SUCH a QoL improvement

@bearphase - I adore the bright legacy and I admire all the little details and effort you put into your posts, like fixing clipping issues, making icons and templates for custom careers or story events, ur creativity really shines through. You've also reminded me how fun NSB can be and inspired me to get back to it and my human enough gameplay and I can't thank u for that enough, it's got me sooo excited for future simming endeavors

@daisydezem - You've been a welcome addition on my dash back since POSE, which was a fantastic first community experience for me and so much fun, & I love your gameplay & love how much work u put into rainbowsin! (I adore Venus so much btw!!) I hope you're healing well and that u have a lovely new year!!

While I've never been a sims 4 hater, like a lot of people I've still struggled with the gameplay aspect of this iteration, so it's been really inspiring to watch how you go about your game and immerse yourself in it, see all the care you put into your sims. I have to thank you for the videos you've made on it, like the one on how to make sims you connect to, season 1 of Lovesick where you went basically vanilla with the specific intent to show people how much you can do with imagination and what that looks like in gameplay! It's been literally game-changing for me lol and helped me to have more fun with my saves, even if they're not one of the rare few that starts out off the rails, I get more enjoyment playing it out until things do start happening outside of my control. & YOUR CC RECS!! I've downloaded so many of the mods you've recommended and I love how much they fill out the game. On the topic of Lovesick, I have not been able 2 get enough!! I'm so hooked lmao. Watching this series has really taken me back to the days when I was a teen reading like those particularly juicy drama-filled sims 3 stories you can't help but to keep clicking "next page" on, except Lovesick is so solid writing-wise. SO excited to see where Lizbeth is going in her life!!

@simandy - Your hairs have been an essential in my CAS folder for so long, and I've been so impressed with the evolution of your creations over the years. I've always liked your work but GODDAMN the quality always blows me away these days!! & I really, really adore and appreciate the variety! @squea - ANOTHER SORT OF LONG ONE BUT ... Your sims just POP!!! SO much character, and your edits and art r phenomenal. Corn is one of my favorite little digital guys I've had the pleasure of experiencing on line in all my years in the sims community reading stories and gameplay. If Cornelius has a million fans I am one of them. If Cornelius has ten fans I am one of them. If Cornelius has no fans I am no longer on the earth. If world against Cornelius, I am against the world. So on and so forth TBH you've also helped me have a lot more fun with the sims 4 talking about how you enjoy your game, and have a healthier mindset about my place in the community and connect back with the reason I made this blog in the first place, which was just to have fun and archive something I love, regardless of whether it got any attention or not! I started going MIA a bit post 2019 after really getting involved in the community, for Life Happens reasons, and naturally the lack of consistent posting for a while meant less eyes on whatever I came back to share. For a while I let that discourage me esp when a lot of effort was put into something, but after you posted about just genuinely enjoying ur game and loving what you made regardless of notes it made me realize what I was doing and helped me get back to that state of mind. Now whatever I make gets to matter simply because it matters to me, even if I post it at like 3am bc I'm so excited and no one ever sees it bc of that DHKDHKHSD. & I feel like I have u to thank for that!! U turned da lightbulb on

@warwickroyals - Ok so first off your clothing is a STAPLE in my folder for my more wealthy and/or fashion-oriented sims! And as for the Warwick Legacy? One of my absolute favorite simblr stories I've read. I still remember when I started it, it was pretty late at night so I was just planning on reading a handful of posts and then picking it back up the next day. That did not happen I could not stop. Straight up stayed up the entire night bingeing all the way to the latest post (which was the Big Phillip Thing. I had to get up from my computer to pace I was having a Moment LOL) I've got some catching up to do but so far I think that's been my favorite arc. Aside from that your editing is beautiful, and I've always been a character enjoyer so I'm in love with how much thought you've put into all of yours, and the fact we get to learn so much about them. I think you do a really good job of balancing the cast and I really dig your storytelling style in general.

she pours tea or lemonade and serves the snacks sanji made!

it’s so relaxing and goes hand in hand with stress Sunday 😍

You had long developed a crush on your fellow text buddy, Heizou, as he was also you duo gaming partner. Provided that you two were both familiar with each other for a long time, he didn’t mind your constant clumsy habit of sliding onto the call option whenever you were going to log out. One day, Heizou was finally fed up with those small incidents.

“It won’t happen again I promise!”

And here it was again, your already hung up call in the middle of nowhere. Heizou stared at his phone screen, only to see his face on the top right corner and your ceiling. It seemed like you didn’t notice the dial tone nor his ‘hello?’ earlier. Normally, he would end the call immediately knowing that you probably wouldn’t be present or wait until you came back to scare the shit out of you if he had time for that.

However, he just kept staring, thoughts clouding his mind. He didn’t feel like pranking you at that moment but he couldn’t help but hold the call for longer. As a deductive guy himself, Heizou overthought from time to time, yet there were times he’s sure about what his guts told him.

It was your clumpsy nature, not not your feelings. Disappointed, he felt. Sometimes, he really wished you were just messing with him to get his attention, he anticipated every rings he got from you and endlessly receiving false calls. Heizou was undeniably talkative but he absolutely adored your voice. Everytime you two were voice-calling during rank time, he would turn the game’s volume down to almost the lowest, just to hear you better.

The next morning, you woke up to a text message from Heizou.

“You free at 9? I wanna do a custom match”

“Sure” your fingers hurrily replied him back, contented for that he invited you to join a match with him.

It was Saturday, so you had nothing much to do. You decided to log in game right after your breakfast to not let Heizou wait. You put on your headphone and rearranged the stuff on your desk slightly. Opening your phone to look back at the messages from him, you turned it off not knowing your hand had clicked on the phone icon once again.

“Helloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo”

The long greeting caught you off guard, you could only see your phone screen still being black but you recognized the voice.

“Miss me already?”

A blush crept up your face upon Heizou’s flirty remark. You reached for your phone and turned it on. You didn’t show your face though you could clearly see him in bedhair. That was so cute, you thought. Smiling to yourself.

“Come on now (Y/N), at this point I can just redraw your ceiling’s texture perfectly.” He joked.

“There was literally nothing up there”

“That’s why, now show me your face so that I can blackmail you with your morning pics, hehe.” His heartfelt giggle never failed to get you, your face was practically heating up.

“Nah, I accidentally pressed the call button again, Heizou. See you later in game.” You were actually proud that you made that out smoothly, couldn’t have let him see you in that state.

Heizou’s brows knitted into a frown, he rested his chin on the back of this left hand.

“You know, sometimes I just wish these calls weren’t accidental.”

“Hm?”

“By that I mean, I want you to call me on purpose and we have proper conversations like this outside our gaming time together.”

His words taken you aback, you were so confused you didn’t  believe your ears.

“I thought you have a busy schedule-“ you covered your mouth to hide your awe.

“No one is too busy for the one they love, sweetheart.” Heizou smirked as a sigh escaped his lips. Endearing your stunned feature.

At that point, you completely forgot about his game invitation, never thought your bad luck made you struck gold.

This week was so hard for bros, at some point, all the villains seemed to agree to attack at the same time. You haven't seen the turtle's faces for a week, they even reply to your messages late.

You can't lie, you really missed them. You were in a position to not be angry if they come to your house and break everything again. So thanks for your clever mind (and losing your way home) you just found out that Jupiter Jim's new movie was played in theaters. Brothers always talked about it and made you watch but it was... Eh, it was looking low budget and kinda make you remember Star Trek but if they love it maybe you could put up with an hour or two.

You handed the money in your pocket to the young man who works there and bought 5 tickets.

"Oh, aren't the tickets unnecessarily cheap?" You looked at the boy when you took the change. You weren't even sure if he was really listening to you, his eyes were staring blankly.

"Well, if you want to, you can give more."

"Ok, ok, haha- have a nice day sir!"

You took your phone out of your pocket and called Donnie, the phone rang several times and you heard the voice of the purple turtle.

"Y/N, What happened?" He sounded so tired, normally he wouldn't stretch his words, but now it was too long and difficult for him to even say three words.

"Oh, I was gonna say, prepare with your bros and meet me at the cinema."

"HEY, IS THAT Y/N?"

"Yes, Leon and why Y/N? I don't think some of us can even lift their feet."

Donnie looked in disbelief at the beeping phone on his face.

A different voice came out of every head that heard this. After some minutes to accept their fate, Raph stood up and stretched.

You waited 15 minutes in front of the cinema, wow- No one really came here. The charging icon of the phone was red, there was nothing you could do but wait. You started to play with the stone at your feet, threw it forward, and followed it with another kick. As you continued like this, a painful brake sound was heard near his ears. The brothers' car stood before you in all its splendor and with the tired turtles inside.

Our fandom icon @bluebutter-art is celebrating her birthday today and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to once again scream about this fantastic human and unbelievably talented artist. Still one of my personal favourites, I’m so soft for this brand of slice-of-life domesticity! Harry’s fond smile watching the people he loves the most together in the same room is a gorgeous portrayal of those moments of soft realization when we’re hit by the thought “god, I’m so lucky I get to be around these people”. This is my all-time favorite Drarry comic alongside a series from Dustmouth, and hands down my favorite piece from last year’s Sudsfest. It’s still hard to talk about (or even look at) it without getting all choked up. Within just a few lovely, meaningful panels, Blue delivers the most touching, deeply emotionally packed love story. This is a triumph, a poignant journey about grief and healing, quietly devastating but still full of hope and warmth. If you haven’t checked it yet what are you even doing with your fandom life?

Sometimes it’s Now or Never

This is one of the comics I revisit the most, I adore it so so much. Auror Harry trusting Draco to patch him up after a raid is THE ULTIMATE TROPE and Blue executes it so perfectly. The storytelling is complete and effective, you can feel the trust and tenderness between these characters without needing further background on their relationship. The amount of time I spent looking at those kissing panels, mesmerized at Harry’s silent resolve and Draco’s sweet tenderness as he yields into the kiss… *sigh* peak romance!

okay This is the model we're gonna be working on!

I use a lot of deformers to move around more then one object now, like on the pupils are a good place to place them all in the same deformer and then moving that.

X-Y-Z Head Params

This time i made something different for the front and back hair, i made a front hair and a back hair. but the front hair's outline is split into another layer. like this

this made a cool effect where when the front hair exits the outline of the back hair, then another backup outline reveals it self like in This video

The extra outline works pretty well even up at diagonals, remember to synthesize corners!

The Z axis is very simply just a rotation deformer on a deformer containing all of the head,

(remember that the back hair may be behind the body!)

The Eyes

Now on to the Eyes :>

this is how my eyes look

The Smug is placed Bellow the eye and is moved up one pixel when i want to make a smug expression, i normally set it to eye smile, but it can become messy, so if that happens to you too, then it could good to place it as an expression instead!

I move the Warp deformer of the Pupils around to make the X Y of the eye params.

The eyes frames switch between each other by using opacity and making them overlap into each other, this makes a pretty fluid eye movement,

though if can become messy looking if eye tracking is not set up correctly, when the eyes loose tracking in a program like vtube studio then, it can become ghost-yish[?].

i've set up this type of eyebrows this time

first and formost i set up all the X & Y was set up by moving the Deformers for Eyebrow L and R.

And this time i also made a Eyebrow Angle, the eyebrows snap, as if was on opacity then it would be very easy for it to look *ghosted*. you can use snapping by placing a keyframe on the two end ones,

but then deleting every other keyframe for it. this makes it snap when a keyframe Jumps to another now active one

Mouth Params

The Mouth Params are basicly the same as the eye brows are!

just remember that 1 = Smile 0.5 = in between 0 = frown.

The Body Params

The Body params is what i use to make the Legs and Arms work, when looking up the arms go in-ward to the body, the same is what i do with the legs

Ending off

Thats about it, now just make a texture atlas, and export everything.

as i had promised before, finally im writing a post about my thoughts on catcf

sorry it's quite messed up, i'm gonna talk about a lot of things, compare the movie to the book and their takes on the characters and their fate. also i'd like to remind that it's all entirely subjective and based on my feelings only!! also i have seen the movie and read the book in russian translation so might have missed some details lost in translation. sorry if anything offends you, i didn't intend it and im open to discussions ,,,

AUGUSTUS GLOOP he didn't seem to have much time and personality both in the book and in the movie? wasn't his only character trait and only vice that he eats a lot? (my highest kin) what did he even do wrong? he was told that everything in the room was edible so he actually started eating everything? what a crime in the movie they tried to fix him or exactly make him worse and showed him being mean to charlie; but the oompaloompas don't criticize him for that but instead for being FAT AND STUPID!!!! i don't think he was that deserving his fate especially comparing him to other kids, but at the same time his punishment seemed the lightest? sure he was scared when he was sucked into the pipe, but in the end he seemed to be happy? he didn't end up that traumatized and even managed to enjoy some chocolate

VIOLET BEAUREGARD when i watched the movie for the first time, i wondered why her song shows her as a bad person not because of her competitiveness, arrogance or obsession with victory but.... for chewing too much gum?? the book gave me the answer to this question: book violet doesn't have almost any personality aside her chewing gum addiction; it was mentioned that she holds a record for chewing gum but it wasn't really emphasized? so i liked how they developed this part of violet in the movie making her obsessed with competitions and prizes, while leaving some details showing it's the pressure of her family which forced her to be like that. she's still a grotesque caricature supposed to be annoying but she's a much more colourful (?) and memorable character there imo.

VERUCA SALT such a cute and annoying at the same time spoiled material gurrrrl both in the movie and the book i love her portrayal sm. also i like how her song showcases that her parents are responsible for spoiling her and they share the same punishment and that episode in the movie when she befriended violet with a nasty smile . such an iconic moment i adored it

MIKE TEAVEE i adored him hes such a funny little brat!!! but his song with the whole "television bad books good" message is understandable in the book but when you hear it in a MOVIE youre watching ON THE TV that makes no sense btw i like how in the book they showcase the problem of parents who ignore their children and would rather let them spend all day in front of the tv than communicate with them. that implies mike has some family issues as well too bad it wasn't shown in the movie

WILLY WONKA book and movie versions of wonka are quite different but i love them both equally willy is such an amazing character :c book wonka seems to be just an easygoing guy in a constant silly goofy mood who actually cares about the children but just lets it slide as he knows they won't be harmed? movie wonka on the other hand seems more whimsy and cursed??? he appears creepy and threatening, with some sadistic vibes even, and behind his appearance of a funny eccentric mememan making cannibalism jokes, he hides SUFFERING and deep childhood traumas i liked how they made wonka's character more deep and dramatic, but the question is - does a character like him really need this tragic backstory? what does this twist add to the whole story? i shall return to this question a bit later

CHARLIE BUCKET book charlie is sweet but looks like he was supposed to be an unpersonalized character so that every reader could associate him with themselves... so hes a bit bland and lacks some individuality imo :c sure we see his generosity (hes willing to share his chocolate with his starving family) and kindness (he's worried about what will happen to other kids - i almost cannot remember that in the movies) but through the course of the plot he does almost nothing but feeling qUeEr fEeLinGs about the wonders of the factory and not getting himself into trouble in the book there's no problem in bringing all charlie's relatives to the factory - so he doesn't face the dilemma of leaving his family to become the heir of the factory or staying with his loved ones. but in the movie that's a major problem and a whole new plotline! we can see charlie's doubts and insecurity, wonka's contradictive feelings taking him over, find out the reasons behind wonka's rejection of family - and it's charlie who helps him. this plotline is even more important for charlie's character development rather than wonka: we see charlie in action, we see how caring he is, how much he is willing to sacrifice for his family, see his sincere desire to help wonka feel happier... the final scene gives such a warm feeling it sends me to tears,,,,, finally willy wonka is not alone...

FINAL THOUGHTS speaking about the message of the story? i felt that the book told that one must be kind and generous to reach happiness? the movie sure has that idea too but it's sorta more focused on the importance of family and not being alone?" once again im unsure about the book :c tbh as the protagonist doesn't have much of a personality and actions, it seemed to me at times that the message is one must be rule-following and not getting into trouble ?? also replace tv and chewing gum with youtube and idk energy drinks - and it can easily turn into a conservative pamphlet on how the new generation is bad and amoral - but it doesn't seem like one thanks to the genius of roald dahl!! his manner of writing and sense of humour is fantastic so in conclusion i prefer the movie to the book (for the first time in my life ahhahha) but idk if they're actually worth being compared ... and of course i don't think the book is worse or anything - it's just not really my cup of tea i guess? though i still enjoyed it a lot and had a great time reading it ^^

This chapter simply has everything… Nene-chan being extremely cute, and also dragging Hanako with complete self-awareness, yelling at Hanako for treating her like she is stupid. Followed by the drop that Nene was planning, all along, to stay here… in the far shore. That when she'd packed for this trip, even… she'd packed her belongings with this in mind. Giving up her life for Hanako! In exchange for this beautiful gesture, Hanako is ruthlessly cruel! With a fake exaggerated smile, he shatters her romantic dream of dying to be with her love. Makes her sob!!! Classic Hanako... he can't even lay down the truth nicely. Hanako forces her to look at and talk to him while she's sobbing!! In GORGEOUS panels, the tension and agony in her body, the humiliation she's feeling-- she wanted to do something profound for Hanako, finally, but she just feels like an idiot!!! A child who doesn't understand the rules! STILL, even this far in! Can't have what she wants, will never make any meaningful impact on Hanako! You can feel how excited she was for this moment, this concept of dying for love!! Poor Nene-chan is a romantic!!! AND THEN TSUKASA IS HERE TO OWN HANAKO, IN SOME OF THE MOST ICONIC PANELS IN THE ENTIRE MANGA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's here to feel SORRY for poor Nene-chan, denied the luxury of dying she so wants right now!! CALLS HANAKO SELFISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EXCITEDLY!! blushing!!! AMAZING PANEL After all the amazing HanaNene, we have a little taste of TsuNene, and then immediately the potent, intoxicating taste of AmaTsu, as Tsukasa weaves around and whispers in his ear. The unbearably sensuous "God will grant your wish" panel with the knife reflecting the murder. Tsukasa actually surprised that Amane knows more than he thought (<- terrifying, every day I am scared of this). Ending on the world's most UNSTOPPABLE!!!! final page of "Let's do this right ♥" a line I constantly see JP fujoshi quoting point blank like it broke them. It breaks us all. But what a gorgeous illustration. Hand-holding. Amane's knife. Tsukasa's big happy smile. Little blush. Camellia and architecture decorating, like a garden terrace. AahhhHHHH!!!! Its like a non-stop onslaught. One of those chapters you have to lie down and recuperate about. Could so many dreams come true at once… ?

ch 81 Red House (pt 6)

We open with Katakuri's brief mental break, and I actually really love Katakuri! He has a kind of Rasphard swag about him (he even makes medicines and works with herbs? Hrr...?). I love the bait and switch, and I still recall the shivers my first time reading it. It's suddenly immensely scary Nene-chan is in this horrible cavern all alone. The weight of the setting dawns upon you, the isolation and helplessness. So little she could do in this situation..... (<- a rather intoxicating feeling) This threat coming from this mild-mannered, soft, gentle victim of circumstances lad dressed in sacrificial women's clothing… its one of those moments I feel AidaIro are masters of their craft. I do be thinking about Katakuri!! He's nice with it. BUT MOVING ON, Nene-chan and Tsukasa's interactions are sooo precious, a dream come TRUE to see Nene interact with baby Tsu!!!!!!! CONTAINS MY FAVORITE MOMENTS EVER, the panels that live in my brain more than possibly any, NENE-CHAN AND I ARE THE SAME!!!!! Impossibly honored that the biggest lore drop is TSUKASA telling stories to NENE-CHAN!!!!!!!! The agony I felt reading this chapter…. still visceral in my memory. Seeing Tsukasa doting on sickly Amane, trying to bring him gifts and toys every day to make him feel better… how abysmally bad Amane's condition is. The impact of Tsukasa licking Amane's tears as he cries … I cannot begin to describe the impact. Upon me. Craterous. The reveal of all reveals, that Tsukasa believed Amane didn't like him!!! So much packed into one chapter … so much that still makes me choke up--!!!! TSUKASA!!!!!

AS YOU CAN SEE, my favorite chapters have it all-- AmaTsuka, TsuNene, HanaNene, I'm always desperate for any of these rare overlaps!!!!!

But for a change of pace, other ultimate favs:

Ch 68 Aoi & Akane

Even if I'm just flipping through chapters to clip something out, I always wind up lingering on the Aoi & Akane chapters in the Far Shore… When reading them the first time, I was in complete and total awe. I had no idea Aoi & Akane could, or would, have so much depth. Starting the manga, I sorta thought their dynamic would always underwhelm me and stay sorta funny. It's not the main romance, y'know? But the reveal of Aoi's personality flaws-- turned her instantly from a character I didn't think about, to one I love, and am so excited to see every time! But really, more than anything, the moment Akane suddenly grabs Aoi by the wrist and simply DRAGS HER to the GROUND, I was gasping. I could never have imagined the gentle lowly SIMP Akane could ever be depicted grabbing Aoi by the god damn throat and jaw, looming over her, holding her down. Already in the grips of admiring Aoi's development, suddenly I'M HORNY??????????? SUDDENLY IT'S SO SEXY?????????????????????????? AKANE IS SEXY ?????????!!?!??! !! ?? ?? ?? Akane saying things like "you asked for it" what the hell… I felt like, I was in a hurricane. Where am I what is going on. MR BONE'S WILD RIDE!!! Akane's complete and utter perceptive character assassination of Aoi, paired with these vignettes of them growing up together preciously, paired with his CRAZY grip on her, AOAUGOIGUORGHGJH!!!!! IMPECCABLE SCENE!!! I did NOT think I gave a shit about Aoi and Akane!!!! And suddenly I'm so shookt I'm shookting to this day... But it doesn't stop. There's that thing in a lot of AidaIro romances… where people are specifically enraptured by the glimpse of sadness in their love. It's even what captivates Nene about Hanako, you know? ADORE ADORE ADORE Akane telling a story about making Aoi cry. Akane intentionally making Aoi cry, AWOUHHG!!! The amazing creepiness of kissing her palm, while she cries DON'T TOUCH ME!! My GOD. I love his assured-ness!!! He knows Aoi too well to accept her refusal ♥ he's right ♥♥♥! He knows her heart better than she knows it herself ♥♥♥♥♥ Akane has been such a, patient, reserved, little SIMP, dare not use his powers upon sweet Ao-chan, pursuing her so persistently yet accepting her no's and not pushing, suddenly we see Akane grabbing her hands, pulling her towards him against her lower back, kissing her neck while she flinches, touching her face, aoauaoaguogh After reading this chapter, I thought, "I TRUST AIDAIRO WITH MY LIFE!!! I TRUST AIDAIRO TO WRITE GOOD ROMANCE!!!!! I TRUST I WILL LIKE WHAT AIDAIRO WILL MAKE OF ANY PAIRING!!!!!" One of the all-time greatest. It kinda reminds me of how the Afterstory of Snow White so completely recontexualizes Estelio… Iro's skill is crazy. I suddenly can say Akane is pretty nice with it…

NOW!!! my last mention would have to be a Sumire & Hakubo chapter … But I will say in general, every time I go in for a clip or cap, I can never resist rereading all of their story. It's-- impossibly beautiful, and tightly woven together, told so efficiently. It feels… in every way structured to hurt me! It's really hard to pick just 1 chapter…

But I'll say, the seminal

ch 94 Dawn pt 2

"for a hundred years, no matter what I did, it's as if it kept burning deep within me." "you're a curse of a woman" SUMIRE'S SINCERE JOY AT UNBEARABLY PAINING AND HAUNTING HAKUBO!!! causing AGONY endlessly, his existence in her wake, ruined, besot, lost… Just like I said with Akane & Aoi, there's that thing where someone's misery proves their love!!!! Unable to move on... wah, wah, wah! All of that. Processing it. Then suddenly it becomes a porno…………. again: WHAT????????????????????? I'm somehow exactly as agog as I was when Akane suddenly thrashed Aoi to the ground and grabbed her throat! SUDDENLY, IT'S OVERWHELMINGLY EROTIC!!!! HELP!!! it made me freak OUT, if Aoi & Akane made me think, "I trust AidaIro with my life", then this chapter made me actually FEAR for my life. IT'S-- ALMOST TOO MUCH MY DREAM AND IDEAL, YOU KNOW???? YOU DON'T EXPECT ANY PIECE OF FICTION TO FEEL SO WONDERFULLY TO YOUR TASTES, AND WHEN THAT HAPPENS, IT'S NOTHING BUT FEAR!!!!

So that's happening. Then begins Hakubo's, wishes. This miserable, enslaved Oni's helplessness to what he perceives as his nature and limitations, the narrative humans fed him, of being this stupid and empty creature, his wish that he could have just been human, loved Sumire, done as she wanted-- that he felt he couldn't!! For me reading it, it was so-- ah-- it's the ultimate thesis of this manga, what it's trying to say about… kaii, humans, love, the idea of deserving something, one's nature. It's so painful, and then it's so lovely and beautifu with Sumire's wishes having all come true~~ with Hakubo's love having satisfied her… with Hakubo understanding, ah... he did do what she wanted. He suffered endlessly... this is love, even like this! AAAAH--!!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥

As for other manga I like… it's pretty complicated, I guess.

As a teen, I read a ton of manga… and at the time, I liked a lot of them just fine. A non-exhaustive list of the most memorable I had enjoyed then: Nabari No Ou, Loveless, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, Eyeshield 21, D. Gray-Man, Death Note, Kuroshitsuji, FMA, Tsubasa: Resevoir Chronicle, NEGIMA!…. and other random shoujo and shounen friends handed me. +6,000 BL+yaoi works. I read just an awful lot of shounen, and I was constantly scrounging through countless BL, but I'm afraid most of it was more obscure and forgotten, things from random corners of the internet, since there was no great aggregate website at the time, and some of it were IRL gets from random shops. In particular, I picked up an anthology that inexplicably was in Barnes & Nobles once, and it had a story I enjoyed about a very aloof boy, who becomes haunted by a rather genki ghost boy. I've never been able to find this one's title, as my life circumstances lead me to abandoning all my belongings…. I remember a really interesting 80s shounen ai ? manga I'd picked up once, and I've never been able to track down its title (I swear it had 'Galaxy' in the name...?)

I've gone back and reread some of those listed, but they no longer had any appeal! Most of them eventually dragged their heels and felt aimless and boring, or convoluted without consistent meaning (especially shounen like Reborn! or D. Gray-Man). The habit of most shounen to introduce an entourage of like 6 guys every arc, it gets monotonous… you see less and less of your favs as it crowds the cast out.

As teenage fandoms go, for whatever reason I really latched onto Reborn! at that time, and I really loved Gokudera a lot (I RP'd him a lot with my then-gf… lol… with her as Tsuna)… though I think I stopped reading when it finally pissed me off haha, it had another character scold and admonish Gokudera for being devoted wholeheartedly to only Tsuna, blaming him for putting pressure on Tsuna.

When I look back on that now, it's really funny-- it's the polar opposite of Jibaku Shounen, which believes intense indomitable love and passion, especially singularly-focused, deserves reward. I'm sure a lot of people who hate 'unhealthy' attachment would have loved that little lesson in Reborn! :p but I hated that Gokudera was shamed for unbreakable loyalty. The idea that your love puts uncomfortable pressure on someone…. ptew!!!! It was painful that Gokudera's attachment was meant to be something he has to 'get over' or 'fix', not a virtue of him that is beautiful. I'm glad someone like Natsuhiko or Akane in JSHK, single-track-minded about their love, are rewarded ♥

Aesthetically, I remember being particularly captivated by Nabari No Ou and Loveless, which both have a black-haired aloof shota at the center, I guess, lol. (Ciel doesn't really make the cut, as I don't favor Victorian aesthetic…)

Often… as a teen, reading shounens, my favorite 'arc' was the very early establishing ones, early volumes where characters are just meeting, and eating lunch and goofing off… some early D. Gray-Man arcs that established the worldbuilding, are still captivating to reread (there is one about a deformed young boy, and a beautiful doll that sings to him, that still makes me emotional to reread!), but again I become exhausted by the antagonists, drawn out fight scenes, threadbare character interactions….

As for Loveless, I remember liking Seimei, the ominous older brother, a lot, and wanting to kill Soubi with a rock. I was wanting to read Ritsuka/Seimei, but having to deal with Soubi's greater popularity, ahaha.

As an adult, I tried to read Mob Psycho, but gave up after 100 chapters, as it failed to captivate me, and I was feeling the same fatigue as I had felt rereading my childhood shounen. As the next ah, antagonist rose up after the last arc, I was like "actually, I don't want to do all this again"… at that point I kind of thought, "maybe I've outgrown this genre?" and sortof gave up on it for some years.

I've reread all of FMA recently, but it's far from a favorite; I actually monumentally disagree with its worldview and philosophy (particularly regarding suffering, pleasure, and serving society), haha. I like some individual characters, but I'm sad about what the general mindset has laid out for them. Mostly engaging with FMA is about 'fixing' or 'correcting' the parts I disagree with. I like Riza, and Pride (and the Flask Homonculus' story). I'm very like, 'justice for the homonculus' oriented lol…

I really love Oyasumi Punpun … in particular, Punpun's feelings towards Aiko. Though I also don't like that manga's thesis or final direction (though even the writer himself admits being distracted and getting off topic....)… but as for conveying emotions (especially selfish or desperate ones!), Punpun's psyche, I really like it, and I like to reread it. I skip around though (I don't care for anything to do with the cult, or the mangaka girl)…

Aku no Hana is a big favorite manga for me. But again, it sort of falls off for the ending … I really love Nakamura, but ultimately, Takao is truly a normal boy who cannot help a girl suchas Nakamura, and there is no true or honorable love to be found here. Nonetheless it has some of the most captivating and exciting, rewarding, soulcrushing scenes in a manga for me… especially scenes suchas the reveal of Nakamura's diary entries, or the peek into the world from Nakamura's perspective (it reminds me of the reveal that Rasphard has psychosis…)… the failed shinjuu gets to me as well, at the festival.

That's all I can really think of right now! I feel I'm probably forgetting something....

is it equally interesting if I hated something? Flipping through Chainsaw Man, it was reprehensible and awful in every way.

I often only really like bits and pieces of something … JSHK is the most I've loved the 'total package', somehow?! In most manga, I expect to like 1 or 2 characters, and have a lot to just put up with, or wish happened differently. I like the philosophy and definition/depiction of love in JSHK… AND I adore Aida's art style, and overall clothing preferences!

Even reading Snow White by them, or MDLD... it's impeccable, for my tastes. Snow White was the most rewarding VN I've ever played by far...

I remember Aida once saying a good shota for her was Chika from Mouryou Shoujo and, looking at him aesthetically, I feel super compatible wwww this kind of severe, black-haired shota...

I love to hangout with my friends(especially my bestfriends) and just have fun with them,i also like to bake with my friends. me and my bestfriend have this tradition where we make brownies whenever we’re hanging out at each others house’s.
