(S/O) "How bad could it be?"

Natasha's smile couldn't get any bigger as she watched the terrified expression on S/O's face.

Their eyes were glued to the screen and arms holding on tightly to Natasha.

(Natasha) "Dear, are you doing alright?"

(S/O) "J-JUST FINE..."

She chuckled, putting her full weight and relaxing onto S/O, who in contrast felt as stiff as a rock.

(Natasha) "I can cure a lot of things, S/O, but I can't cure getting the life scared out of you."

(S/O) "V-Very funny, Natasha...!"

Natasha enjoyed having S/O hold her so tightly. Admittedly, it made her feel a little sleepy, despite the horrific scenes she was watching on the screen.

(Natasha) "I feel like I could go to bed, how about you?"

(Natasha) "I think even the kids have more resilience-"

(S/O) "LOOK! Ghosts freak me out, okay?! And you better not tell them that, I don't want them terrorizing me with that knowledge!"

Natasha giggled before rubbing a hand on their back, attempting to calm them down.

(Natasha) "Full patient confidentiality with me, dear."

During the next few nights, she felt like an oversized plush with how tightly S/O hugged her.

Bronya was extremely busy in her duties, so much so that she felt terrible about leaving S/O alone for so many days.

When they approached her for an offer to spend the night together, she couldn't refuse.

Not that she wanted to, of course.

(Bronya) "What did you have in mind?"

S/O reached into their pocket and pulled out a small disc.

(S/O) "I was handed this movie by Seele, she said we should watch it together for a date."

(Bronya) "By Seele? Hm, what is it?"

(S/O) "...Eh? A Horror movie?!"

Bronya recoiled as well before putting some thought into it.

(Bronya) "I have never gotten to watch a movie for fun, much less a horror film...Let's do it!"

S/O slightly hesitated, but seeing the gleam in her eye, they couldn't refuse.

Not that they wanted to, of course.

...

As much as some scenes freaked her the hell out, she was actually having a lot of fun!

Bronya didn't have many opportunities to enjoy her time doing something so normal, so this was a new experience for her.

Especially getting to share it with the one she loved, it couldn't get much better than this.

...Well, maybe if it weren't for the fact S/O was practically in her lap, shivering as they held her tightly.

(Bronya) "If the movie is too much, S/O, we can always just-"

(S/O) "N-NO! I'll be fine, you're enjoying it, so I am too!"

Bronya raised an eyebrow, watching them tremble.

(Bronya) Obviously, that's a lie.

But at the same time, she was flattered. They wanted to make sure that she was enjoying herself, despite the fact she meant this time spent together to be an apology to S/O.

She smiled, oblivious to the blood curdling scream emerging from the screen that made S/O yelp.

Bronya quietly laughed to herself before wrapping her arms around S/O, watching the screen with a smile.

Before getting jumpscared in sync with S/O, both of them latching onto each other.

Seele threw her shoes off in her apartment, sitting down on the couch with her S/O.

(Seele) "Ugh, finally. I can rest..."

(S/O) "Busy as always?"

(Seele) "Trouble's always brewing, but...things have been getting a bit easier now."

She put her head on their lap, mindlessly playing with their hair as her arm lifted to touch their face.

(Seele) "Got some time off for a little while. Wanna do anything?"

(S/O) "Hm...Oh, isn't there a movie you said you wanted to watch?"

It took a moment before Seele remembered what they were talking about, shooting upright.

(Seele) "Right! Yeah, Caelus gave me a horror movie that he said a friend gave him. Plug in that little box below the TV, that plays the movie."

She quickly went to grab a snack from the pantry before hopping onto the couch with S/O, noting the worried look on their face.

Seele knew they didn't like that genre, but maybe it'd be fine because she was here?

...

S/O was lifelessly still, fitting given the movie.

Seele lazily munched on some chips as she watched the screen, unphased by the gruesome sights.

(Seele) "Hm. This plot's kinda dumb. What do you thi-"

Seele noticed S/O was shaking, their attention glued onto the screen, which made a smirk grow across her lips.

(Seele) "...Boo!"

(S/O) "GAH!"

She laughed at how far S/O had jumped on the couch.

(Seele) "Jeez, didn't realize this flick would freak you out so bad."

(S/O) "You absolutely did!"

Seele didn't deny that, and instead just cuddled closer to S/O.

(Seele) "Don't worry, I'll protect you from whatever big bad is out to getcha."

(S/O) "Y-You better!"

Seele let one hand cusp their cheek, which she felt them relax into, seemingly calming them down.

It made her heart skip a beat that she could be such a calming presence for someone, despite how she normally was.

And then a loud noise startled S/O, making them almost drop Seele, which she was slightly annoyed but highly amused by.

She has to resist the urge to scare the hell out of them when they're going to sleep since S/O had Seele in a near death grip.

Note | Look, I know that Honkai Star Rail just came out but I couldn't resist!! I just had to write these three! :>

Dan Heng

March wonders if Dan Heng threatened you to be his partner or maybe you are just blind. She honestly doesn’t know what you see in him.

Dan Heng may seem distant at first but give him some time then he’ll start pampering you with his love.

His love language is quality time. If you are a member of the Astral Express then he’s happy that he gets to spend time with you.

He’s not much of a talker so he’ll be glad to just hear you talk about what’s been going on, your favorite novels, your missions, etc.

See Dan Heng can be a bit protective, even if you are a fighter yourself, he’ll still be going with you whenever you have a mission.

Being the Heir and next Supreme guardian, Bronya wants to keep her relationship with you private to not attract too much attention.

When you guys go on picnics, he insists on cooking the food. Though, it’s more fun when you are helping him, it makes him feel relaxed.

Like Bronya, he likes to keep things private considering how he is a captain and has many enemies.

Whenever he’s in public and you are there, he would send you a glance or a soft smile.

His sister always teases him about you, going on and on about when he’s gonna stop being a chicken and propose to you.

Lifting your head from the vending machine, you see a familiar head of pink hair running towards the exit screaming for your new coworker. Grabbing your snack from the dispenser you slowly walk out of the secluded section for the machines.

A deep chuckle resounded next to you, looking towards your left your eyes widened at the sight of your not-so-secret, secret admirer.

“She your friend?” you ask him, an attempt to make light conversation.

“Hm? Yes, Fu Xuan is someone I would consider a friend,” he mindlessly nods before taking a glance at you—

Anyway, hope you enjoy!

Bronya

Ever since her mother’s… passing, Bronya had a lot more work and responsibility than before, a situation made even worse considering that her workload had never been anywhere close to light. But not once did you or anyone else hear her complain. Sure, there was a lot to do, but she wasn’t the first supreme guardian to work this late and probably wouldn’t be the last.

…that being said. Not being able to see you as often as she used to and often coming home so late in the evening that you were already sleeping did take a toll on Bronya… and you, judging from the way your sleeping form hugged her.

It didn’t take Bronya long to recognise that you were having a nightmare, shifting and turning in bed while letting out a distressed noise and muttering a random word every now and then. It wasn’t the first time she returned home at night, sneaking into the bedroom to avoid waking you up, only to find you in such a state, and she honestly couldn’t blame you. Nightmares were rather common in Belobog, from orphans to soldiers there weren’t many people left alone by unpleasant memories, and Bronya definitely wasn’t a stranger to them herself.

“...bronya.”

If the windows had been open, she would have believed she was just hearing the wind, but since they were shut closed like they were most of the time, your murmur was just loud enough for her to hear. What part she played in your nightmare didn’t matter to her, as she made her way over to your side of the bed without hesitation before kneeling down next to it and softly grabbing your hand, trying not to wake you up while still hoping to offer you at least some comfort.

“It’s alright darling, I’m here”, she spoke calmly while drawing circles on your backhand using her thumb, whether to reassure you or herself she didn’t know, but seeing as your face seemed to relax ever so slightly, it might have actually succeeded in both.

“...don’t leave”, you murmured once again, only for something that sounded somewhat like a “please” to leave your mouth not long afterwards. Whatever nightmare you were having didn’t seem to involve any monsters from the fragmentum or demons from the past… but her.

A part of her felt something akin to relief in the revelation, having feared you were once again reliving unwelcome memories… another part however, did not.

You had never been too open about your insecurities, was it with her or anyone else. Some might have even been fooled into thinking you didn’t have any, but Bronya knew better, your self-conscious behavior whenever any guest of importance came to talk with her ingrained in her mind. How, in such moments, the supreme guardian had to reassure you over and over again that you weren’t dragging down her image simply by associating with her. Considering how severe your worries were each and every time, Bronya was surprised you managed to keep up appearances so well the rest of the time.

Or at least you were managing while being awake, as right now, those thoughts seemed to haunt you even in your dreams.

“I’m not going anywhere, my dear. I promise”, she continued to whisper gently before reaching towards your head with her other hand, slowly stroking your hair while continuing to reassure you with her words until your breaths and movements eventually calmed down, you seemingly finally being able to sleep at least somewhat peacefully.

By that time however, quite some time had passed during which Bronya refused to leave your side, and while it helped to end your nightmare, every minute she spent knelt down next to the bed was a minute she would have a less to sleep, a realization she had once she finally dared to take her eyes from you and looked outside the window, seeing the moon already high in the sky, causing a yawn to escape her mouth as she finally made her way to bed.

Once she layed down, all of the tiredness she had, up till this point, been able fight off, washed over her as her eyes quickly grew heavier and heavier with each time she blinked, and before long, she found herself asleep, with your arms hugging her as they always seemed to.

>> After Danheng and March have accompanied the trailblazer on their first trailblazing mission, March went back into the express, dragging you out in Belebog by the hands with her camera out. You had to calm her down while Dan Heng had to apologize to you on what he says "behalf of March's behavior" you tell him it's no worries and it's not a big deal. March yet again, drags you away from Danheng and leads you into a nearby park while she took her selfies there (and some pictures of you alone and with the both of you too)

While she was inspecting the pictures she took, you took out your phone and earphones and resumed the song you were listening to earlier. Taking the left side of the earphone, cleaning it with a cloth and putting it into March's ear.

March would look at you with a smile "Thank you! I appreciate it!"

March often feels like she's in a block of ice but your warmth and energy seems to melt it all away, over and over again.

Himeko:

Looking closely you saw as the figure began moving his hand up, aiming a gun at you.

Fear overtook you as you stayed still in your spot. “What is this? What are you doing?” You yelled.

The figure moved closer and finally you were able to see his face. It was the love of your life, Lilia. Yet he was aiming to shoot you.

Looking into his eyes you could see that he was unhappy, his natural shine missing.

“I’m so sorry my love, queen’s orders,” he softly said as he readied to pull the trigger.

His heart felt heavy, yet it would be an unwise decision to disobey what the queen had said, to betray the kingdom he had promised to serve.

He pulled back, the weapon firing.

Pain flowed through him as he watched you fall to the ground. His weapon retreated as he moved back, unwanting to look at you any longer.

“Very well,” she replied calmly, taking a breath and relaxing.

The queen looked behind him, as if motioning someone. Just as he had turned to see he felt a sharp pain in his lower chest, his body aching instantly.

He frantically looked around only to met with you looking at him, gun in hand.

“W- what?” He muttered under his breath as he fell back. “Y/N, what is this? What are you doing, what did you do?!”

“Lilia I-” you attempted to give out, however you could do nothing but stare at him as tears welled up in your eyes.

You did your best to not cry as you watched him clutch his chest, looking for a way to save himself.

Yet his efforts came to no avail as he died there, knowing that you had betrayed him and dying at your hands.

Nobody would be idiotic to betray the queen after all.

His face dropped. He'd forgotten. You could tell from his blank expression followed by his averted gaze. "I was there for three hours Gepard like always. I waited for you, like i always do and look where that got me", You say to him feeling your chest tighten. "I'm sorry I-"

"I'm done Gepard. Let's end this."

"Whoa Y/n calm down. I'm sure Geppie got carried away", Serval tried to ease the situation and yet you didn't want her apology. You were done.

"Love, I've been busy. I-I just got carried away. I promise it won't happen again"

"I don't want your apology Gepard. I've heard it a million times. You'll be late for the next date and the next. I'm saving myself the trouble."

"I won't, I swear to you in the name of Landau that I won't", He begs grabbing your hands. His eyes pleaded with yours and ye you only blankly stared.

"Don't do that Gepard, you wouldn't want to shame your family would you?"

"I wont, Y/n! I pro-"

"Gepard please", You say removing yourself from his grip. On a normal day, you would have fallen right back into his arms as soon as he muttered an apology but today was different. You weren't sure what was so different but you didn't feel like giving into his pleas.

You walk away shocking even Serval! "Y/n please whatever this is, I'm sure that the two of you can resolve it", Serval says but you don't respond. you weren't surprised she'd try to plead on his behalf but this time, it wouldn't work, you were done.

"I'm tired of coming in second Serval. I don't think that's something he can change. "Y/n please", he says following you. He wouldn't let go easily. That was what attracted you to him in the first place but now you wanted nothing more than to leave. "I'm going to find someone else Gepard. Someone who'd pick me over everything", You say glaring at him once more before leaving the store and ignoring him. You weren't going to come second anymore. Not to him. Now to anyone else.
