Hi guys,
Today's blog post is a little different to my usual content but I recently went to a Taylor Swift themed experience and I just had to tell you all about it. If you didn't know I am a massive Taylor Swift fan and am VERY lucky to be going to the Era's Tour next year.
Based in London, Southwark Cathedral hosts an event called Candlelight: A Tribute to Taylor Swift at Southwark Cathedral. It is honestly every Swifties dream event! In a gorgeous cathedral a orchestra plays Taylor Swift songs surrounded by candles. They play 13 songs from all different albums and honestly the whole experience left me speechless. If you didn't get tickets to The Era's Tour I think this would really cheer you up and if you did this is a great warm up event!
Hearing the songs performed in this way gave me a whole new appreciation for each song and I can only describe the experience as magical especially hearing Enchanted. We sat in zone C which meant we were next to the stage and the slightly odd but also great thing is you pay to sit in a zone but not a seat so the earlier you get there the better chance of front row seats you get. We paid the cheaper ticket price and yet we probably had the best view of the orchestra.
If you are a Swiftie in London you need to go to this event because it's a beautiful setting (especially when the cathedral gets darker), the songs sound even better and you met the most lovely people there. I have linked the site above as the next event is in October.
Lots of love
