‘the water's getting colder, let me in your ocean, swim’
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The lights on the pool walls illuminated the blue water while reflecting onto Jake’s pretty face. He swam around the pool happily, his eyes gleaming and his lips pulled into a small smile. You watched him from the edge, kicking your feet lightly in the glowing water. Jake begged you to join him earlier, but you denied, not wanting to get in with your sweatpants and t-shirt.
“It’s our last night together and you’re not gonna join me?” Jake whined, looking at you with his infamous puppy dog eyes. He knew that you were unable to resist them, so he typically used that to his advantage when he wanted something.
You, being a childhood best friend of Jake’s, had visited him for one of Enhypen’s tour stops. You had been vacationing in LA around the same time of the concert and Jake knew that he couldn’t pass on the opportunity to see you again. It had been a couple months since you two last reconnected in Korea and he had missed you more than he’d like to admit. Your soft giggles and electrifying touches often occupied his mind late at night so to experience it in person again, Jake was sure he was on cloud nine.
“I don’t want my sweatpants to get all wet. It’ll be uncomfortable.” You mumbled, pretending to pick lint off the fabric so you were looking at something other than Jake’s intense gaze. It’s as if he wanted for you to fall even deeper in love.
“You can take them off.” He suggested, smirking when you gasped and splashed water in his face. The idea was highly suggestive and you didn’t expect such words to come from the boy. Others would’ve assumed that Jake suggested the idea innocently, but the glint in his eye said otherwise. Knowing Jake since you both were climbing playgrounds made it easy to catch all of his tells. It was impossible for him to lie to you, and it was also hard for him to say one thing when he meant something totally different and you not catching on.
Jake knew that, which gave him the confidence he needed to finally make you his.
“I’ll take off my shirt if that makes you feel better.” He spoke up, tugging on the black tank top he wore. Your eyes widened slightly at the suggestion. You hadn’t seen Jake without a shirt since the two of you were splashing in the ocean waters back in Australia. Of course you hadn’t thought anything of it at the time, only focused on hanging out with the boy you called your best friend.
But now— seeing Jake slowly pull the article of clothing off his body made your mind travel to terrible places. You tried to convince yourself that he was only your friend and that having such thoughts about him was wrong. But the way his muscles flexed due to his movements made any logic you had fly straight out the window.
“You um…you don’t have to do that.” You choked out nervously, watching as Jake swam over to you, shirt long disposed of on the side of the pool.
“I just wanted to make you feel more comfortable. But if you don’t want to, that’s okay.” Jake replied, giving you a reassuring smile. You couldn’t help but smile back at him, his grin infectious as always and of course he had been very thoughtful. Jake never forced you into anything, or made fun of you for not joining in on his festivities. That’s why you felt so drawn to him, he just seemed to care about you more than anything.
“No, I’ll join you.” You decided, standing up from the edge of the pool. As soon as you grabbed the hem of your t-shirt, Jake turned away to give you some privacy (and hoping to hide his flushed face). You then took off your sweatpants before immediately jumping into the pool, scared that someone would see you. It was one in the morning so that wasn’t very likely, but you hoped if anyone did happen to walk out that they would assume your underwear was simply a bathing suit.
You swam over to Jake, tapping him on the shoulder so he could turn around. As soon as he did, he kept his eyes on yours, knowing that you would catch him if he tried to let them wander somewhere else. Jake sucked in a breath, suddenly wishing that he hadn’t suggested the idea of you joining him. He wanted to focus on your eyes, he really did, especially when you were explaining how amazing your trip had been. But the way your boobs sat so perfectly in your bra was making Jake’s mind go haywire. He swore he couldn’t focus on anything else, not catching any of the words falling from your pretty lips.
“Jake, hey! Stop looking down there, you freak.” You scolded the boy, suddenly feeling self conscious under his gaze. You knew that he wasn’t judging you, he would never. But his gaze looked almost hungry, and that made you feel slightly insane.
“I swear I wasn’t being weird I was just…admiring your bra color, is that burgundy?” He lied right through his teeth. You slapped his hand away when he reached out to touch you, laughing at the ridiculousness of his answer. If there was one thing you definitely knew about Jake, he couldn’t lie for shit.
“Yeah, yeah. Can we just swim now?” You asked shyly, making Jake nod with excitement. He tried his best to ignore the growing desire he felt settling in his stomach, and it worked once the two of you engaged in a splash war. It felt nice to hang out with Jake, you missed all of the quality time you would spend together back in Korea. He never failed to make you laugh with his dorky jokes and you were positive you hadn’t felt so happy since you last hung out.
“I’m getting bored, we should go back in.” You commented after about an hour, observing your fingers that had shriveled up like raisins. Jake whined, pouting once more at your words.
“C’mon, just a little bit longer. I mean, how can you ever get bored with that view?” Jake asked, pointing to the gorgeous skyline in front of the hotel. You sighed and shook your head, knowing that you weren’t planning to leave against his wishes. Jake just had that kind of hold on you.
“What more is there for us to do in here?” You asked, mentally going over all of the games you both played along with pausing to rest against the ledge and catch up with each other. Jake watched as you slowly ran your hands through the water, waiting for his answer. The boy felt awe struck for a second, observing your pretty features and body that he so desperately wanted to see twitching against him and covered with marks from his mouth.
As soon as you looked up from the water and met Jake’s gaze, he finally felt the confidence to act on his urges. Jake moved closer and reached over grab your waist, making you shiver at the contact. You hadn’t expected Jake to be so bold, but you weren’t complaining.
“I can think of a few things.” Jake said in a singsong voice, watching as your eyes widened slightly and your breathing began to pick up. Your chest moved up and down rapidly, causing Jake to look down again. He held back a groan, his shorts feeling tighter and tighter as he waited for your reply.
“What-what if someone sees?” You stuttered, suddenly feeling very warm in Jake’s grasp. He moved even closer to you, his nose rubbing against yours. You gulped, closing your eyes in anticipation. You hoped that Jake couldn’t feel your rapid heartbeat— but he could probably tell how nervous you were as it had been quite obvious.
“We’re not going to get caught, I promise you. But if you don’t want this, I’ll let you go. Don’t be afraid to tell me what you want.” Jake said, his eye contact making you feel dizzy. You didn’t say anything, running your hands through Jake’s wet hair before pulling him into a kiss. About an hour ago you would have never been so bold, but with the dark look in Jake’s eyes and the way his hands caressed your skin, you concluded that he felt the same way.
Jake groaned against your mouth, closing the already tight distance between your bodies. This kiss was feverish and desperate, with your hands intertwining deeper into Jake’s hair and his gripping your body hard enough to leave a bruise. You felt your mind short-circuit, your stomach twisting as Jake’s lips molded against yours. The moment was perfect, and his kiss felt even better than anything your imagination could conquer up.
Jake ran his tongue across your bottom lip, making you whine against his mouth and open yours to him. The kiss became sloppier as your tongues overlapped each other with urgency, and you moved your hands to lightly tug on Jake’s hair. He let out a soft moan against your mouth before grabbing your thighs and making you wrap your legs around his waist. Your body was flush against his and it became easy to feel how aroused he was.
“J-ake, w-wait.” You gasped out, suddenly becoming very aware of what you two were doing.
“Tell me you don’t want this. Tell me that you don’t want me and I’ll back up right now.” Jake sighed against your mouth, his hold on you still tight. You didn’t want him to leave, his warmth and pillowy lips were absolutely intoxicating. Jake seeing you at such a state was just a bit intimidating and it also meant that the two of you needed a long talk on where you stood with each other. Best friends certainly didn’t makeout and grind on each other in a pool. But Jake looking at you with such desire pushed any doubts and fears you had into the back of your head.
Oh fuck it.
“Please, don’t stop.” You whispered, barely letting the boy get a word out before your lips were on his again. Jake let out a low whine, the sound traveling straight to your gut and where you needed him the most. Suddenly detaching his lips from yours and leaving a messy trail of spit, Jake began to move his head down to your neck. You let out an airy moan, your hips snapping against his in response. Jake let out a choked sound against your skin before continuing the assault on your neck and meeting his hips with yours.
“Feels good?” He asked, continuing to lick and suck on all of your weak points. He seemed so skilled at the act, his teeth nipping your neck followed by his tongue gently sweeping over the sore spot.
“Yeah.” You sighed, watching as he pulled his bottom lip between his teeth when he fingers slowly slipped past the band of your underwear. You already looked incredibly fucked out which amused Jake considering he hadn’t touched you yet.
“By the way, don’t hold back. I wanna hear all the pretty sounds you make.” Jake said before moving your underwear to the side. You nodded and a shaky breath left your lips, making the boy chuckle and kiss your cheek to help calm your nerves.
“Good girl.”

today was the day seungcheol finally gathered the courage to ask you to be his for forever. he'd been thinking about it for quite a long time but only now had he been preparing for it.
he spent weeks looking for the perfect ring but nothing ever seemed to satisfy him, after all seungcheol only wanted the best of the best for you and it showed in everything.
he visited jewellery stores every day and spent his free time searching for ring designs on the internet. and then finally he found it. he felt a sense of accomplishment the moment he placed the order for your ring.
everything was starting to feel real and at that moment, it hit seungcheol hard. he was going to propose to you.
he spent the next few weeks in anxiety that you would find the ring and proceeded to change the hidden location of the ring every day. the first step being completed, the next step was to propose to you.
everyone who knew seungcheol knew he was someone who proclaimed his love in a very materialistic way, especially to you.
he asked his friends to go with him to shortlist places for the occasion and that also took quite a lot of time. he drove 6 hours every day and spent the majority of his time watching vlogs of the venues they had chosen. after a painful month of travelling all over seoul, he finally found the perfect place to propose to you.
after that came the most tiring step of them all, how was seungcheol going to propose to you? he needed decorations, venue reservations, to fly out your family on the other side of korea, a photographer - which he later decided that mingyu fit the role- he needed to get outfits and the hardest part was that seungcheol had to do it without you noticing.
he made calls day and night to inquire about different things that were required for the proposal. he called your family members and personally invited them. seungcheol visited the venue every day and planned the decorations with a team of professionals.
seungcheol was glad that you didn't catch on to his behaviour since he wasn't the best at keeping secrets.
after long months of planning, the day finally arrived. as usual, seungcheol went home and told you to get ready as he was taking you on a date.
you didn't expect anything, he was always taking you on surprise dates. seungcheol laid a beautiful red dress out for you on the bed with a note. you stepped out of the bedroom and there was seungcheol. he was fiddling with his watch as he stood in front of the room.
hearing the door open, seungcheol looked at you and his world stopped. your hair framed your face perfectly and the matching red lip made you look irresistibly perfect. with his mouth open in awe, he walked towards you and held your hand, spinning you around. he listened to your giggles as the dress fluttered around you.
being struck by your beauty, seungcheol felt so so happy to be yours. he watched as you walked over to the shoe cabinet and took out a pair of black heels. seungcheol made it over to you and stopped you before you could wear them. he got down on his knees and placed his hand under your heel before kissing your calves.
now was your time to be speechless. you stared at him as he worked the latches on your heels. oh, how powerful you felt, for a man to be this in love with you that he got on his knees to slip on a pair of heels on you.
seungcheol stood and gave you his hand for you to hold as support. no words were exchanged but you felt loved and appreciated each time seungcheol opened doors for you or gave you his arm to hold while you climbed down the stairs.
the drive was the best description of innocent love, the both of you shared glances at each other and you smiled whenever seungcheol squeezed your thigh. it felt so intimate.
you decided to break the silence. "where are we going, my love?" you smiled at him and he looked at you when the car stopped at a red light. seungcheol reciprocated the smile and placed a kiss on your cheek before answering.
"it's a secret, cherry." you blushed at the nickname. you've heard it for a long time but each time he calls you 'cherry', your heart picks up on a few beats.
"oh come on!" you whined one last time hoping for an answer but all he did was smile and bring your hand to his mouth to place a gentle kiss on it. thankfully, this action made you forget about your destination as you sat there flustered.
the sun began to set and the sky had a beautiful pink gradient. it made this 'date' even more magical. while you gazed at the sky, you didn't realize you were at the destination until seungcheol opened the door and began walking towards you.
he opened your door, and again held his arm out as support. you set your dress out as your eyes roamed the place in wonder. you've never seen such a beautiful restaurant before. the ocean glistened behind the restaurant. a small path connected the restaurant with the beach.
the red sun was on par with the horizon. the scenery to you, looked like it had come out of a fairytale. not for seungcheol though. he was too busy staring at the fascination on your gorgeously sculpted face.
as much as he hated the hours of travel to look for this place, it felt like an accomplishment when you hugged him, thankful for this date.
a waiter came up to you and guided the both of you inside the restaurant.
seungcheol's hand rested on your lower back, and his body warmth immediately spread throughout your body, making you feel comfortable. the table that was reserved for the both of you was perfect. it had a view of the beach and the sunset that illuminated the restaurant, making it a beautiful hue of orange and pink.
"did you order for us beforehand?" you asked after the waiter left your favourite wine bottle on the table. seungcheol got up from his seat and opened the bottle before pouring it for you. he knew that you loved it when he served you wine.
"only the wine, nothing else." seungcheol sat down in his place and grabbed your hand over the table, rubbing his thumb over it ever so gently.
the menus were handed to you and seungcheol didn't let go of your hand even then, you smiled at his clingy behaviour. you skimmed through the menu and placed your order when the waiter came to collect it, seungcheol ordered a dish that you seem intrigued by, it was one that you had never heard of before.
there was a comfortable silence that enveloped the both of you as you stared at the sunset at the beach. it was romantic and private. no eyes were staring at the both of you, just you and seungcheol being sickly in love.
the dishes arrived soon after and the both of you started eating, seungcheol made comments on how beautiful you looked and you couldn't respond, all you did was shyly giggle at each and every one of them. the both of you moved on to other topics and time flew. by the time the both of you were done eating, the sun had set completely, and the moon shone in the starry night.
you and seungcheol walked towards the beach after he paid for the meal. hand in hand, you swayed them and took a walk on the beach. you shivered slightly at the chilly wind and seungcheol noticed as he immediately took off his trench coat and gave it to you.
you were about to walk further when you realised that seungcheol had stopped walking. you turned around with a confused expression on your face when you realised that he looked...nervous.
"cheol, is everything okay?" you asked as you walked in front of him and cupped his face, you laughed out an apology when he flinched at the coldness of your palms.
"yeah. um." he pulled away from you and held your hands before looking into your eyes. seungcheol's nerves were spiking up and he didn't know how to control it.
"you know the day i met you was the best day of my life. i was having a really bad day, but then you showed all happy and giddy. you put an automatic smile on my face and i didn't even know who you were." his words melted your heart, and you didn't even notice you were crying until seungcheol wiped the tear off your face.
"and then we continued to meet at that coffee shop near hybe. after a few weeks, i finally gathered up the courage to ask you out. i remember being so nervous to talk to you, and then i found out your voice was sweeter than your personality." you laughed through the tears at the corniness of seungcheol's words.
"after we started to date, i found out the real meaning of happiness. i used to dread coming home, it was so cold and dark but when you moved in, the house started to feel like my home, and soon my home turned into our home."
you were sobbing at this point, and then seungcheol started shedding tears.
"i want this to last my whole life, and i hope you want that too." you were nodding by the end of this sentence.
and then seungcheol got down on one knee and pulled out a velvet box. you knew this was going to happen, but now that it was playing out in front of you, it felt surreal. "so, yn. can you make me the happiest man in this world and marry me?"
he popped open the box and there the diamond studded ring glistened.  a single grey diamond rested on top and smaller white diamonds decorated the band of the ring. it sparkled in the moonlight, which made it even more magical.
you nodded profusely and sobbed harder as seungcheol shakily slipped the ring on your finger. he stood up and pulled you into a hug and brought you into a kiss, seungcheol dipped you as fireworks were set off in the distance. behind you, party poppers and cheers erupted from all of your friends and families.
you couldn't stop smiling when everyone congratulated the both of you. after the congratulations, you could see everyone talking about your wedding and seungcheol was happy that he didn't have to go through planning that by himself. it was safe to say planning the proposal was stressful but so worth it.
you looked at seungcheol who was already looking at you lovingly.
"why are you looking at me like that, mr. choi?" you asked cheekily, you wrapped your arms around his neck and he wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you in.
"why? cant i look at my wife, mrs. choi?" the both of you smiled.
"future wife." you corrected your fiancé.
"either way you're mine, mrs. choi."
"that i am, mr. choi."

Idol! Hanni X non Idol! Reader
Description: Y/n and Hanni are childhood best friends who have always had a crush on each other. Y/n visited Hanni in Korea during the holidays and got to know the other NewJeans members.
One Shot
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tired, I yawned once. My hand on my suitcase as I retrieved it from the baggage carousel and sighed contentedly. In my left hand, I held the bag with the bread tightly, and with my right hand, I now tried to find the exit. I bit my lip as I concentrated hard on reading the Korean characters.
I would be moving here within the next year. What I just experienced was, of course, only a vacation for me, but it was also a kind of preparation. After all, I would now spend exactly 2 months here and, of course, immediately get a passport and everything else that was necessary.
Smiling, as I would soon see my best friend again. Pham Hanni, one of the NewJeans members. I know it's really hard to believe, but it was true. We had met at the age of 2 at the playground. Back then, I had destroyed Hanni's sandcastle, making her cry. This seemed to genuinely bother me back then, which is why I built a new one with her.
Although exactly 2 years separated us, it never really bothered us. We were always together. Except when she left to travel to Korea. The farewell at the airport was tough. I had never cried so much in my life. But that was understandable, right? The person with whom I spent every single second daily was leaving me.
Fortunately, we kept in touch. We had FaceTime calls from time to time and also chatted about some memes on Instagram. Of course, Hanni also visited her family during the holidays, so we met several times there. Unfortunately, saying goodbye was always and always difficult.
Maybe that convinced me to move to Korea?
I had applied to one of the universities just for fun and with the expectation of being rejected, but I got accepted. I was really accepted...
"Y/n"
With a furrowed brow, I looked around, but I only recognized one person wildly waving at me. The person wore a cap and a mask that completely covered their face. Beside them stood a slightly taller man in a suit. A smile formed on my face as I recognized the bracelet on her wrist.
Hanni.
Grinning broadly, almost running, I now approached the younger one. My arms immediately wrapped around the hips of the equally-sized person, lifting her up. Her laughter was unmistakable. "I missed you so much," I said in English as I gently placed the younger one back on the ground. The man next to us scrutinized me thoroughly, seemingly with some kind of earpiece in his ear.
Hanni grabbed my hand as I noticed the mask on her face lifted slightly, apparently smiling, as her eyes also turned into slits. I couldn't suppress my own smile. I grabbed my suitcase, which the man in the suit promptly took from me. I tried to protest, but the man shook his head stubbornly.
"Forget it. He won't give in," Hanni said, lightly laughing as she practically clung to my arm. Together, we headed to the car and sat in the back immediately. As the door closed, Hanni took off her cap and mask, placing them on her lap.
"So? How was the flight?" the younger one asked, turning more towards me. Smirking, I leaned towards her, widening Hanni's eyes. My hand grabbed her seatbelt, pulling it towards me to buckle her up. "Pretty good. There was an older woman next to me, and we played cards and talked almost the entire flight. She told me a lot about Korea," I replied as I now fastened my own seatbelt.
"And how's your Korean?" Hanni asked, slightly laughing as she switched to the language. Her eyes sparkled challengingly. "Your mother told me you're studying day and night for it," Hanni said in Korean, and I nodded. Nervously, I began to fidget with my fingers.
"Yeah. My Korean has definitely improved, especially since I focused on understanding and speaking first. But I can hardly read and can't write at all," I confessed, feeling a bit embarrassed, which made Hanni joyfully clap her hands. Overjoyed, the younger one stared at me, saying, "I'll help you. Don't worry," as her hand landed on mine.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Smirking, I looked around with my phone in hand as I stared at the message from my best friend. Apparently, a really tall woman with a baby face would be waiting for me at the entrance. The description was quite questionable, but I still scanned the area. My eyebrows raised as I noticed someone fitting that description.
So, I headed towards the person who absentmindedly kicked her foot against a rather old and stuck piece of gum on the pavement, seemingly trying to loosen it. "Hyein?" I asked as I approached the taller figure. Almost immediately, her eyes shot to me. Without saying a word, she pulled out her phone and seemed to be comparing something.
"Uh. I'm Y/n," I said, smiling slightly and probably a bit nervously. Hyein's eyes immediately lit up, and she quickly stashed her phone in her pocket. Almost instantly, she bowed deeply, and I did the same in return. "Unnie," the younger one said, gesturing with her hand, which honestly looked like sign language, for me to follow her.
I followed her lead, and she guided me through the HYBE building. With wide eyes, I admired my surroundings. Upon reaching a room, the music stopped, and I noticed four pairs of eyes turning towards us. A smile formed on my face as Hanni, like a little bunny, jumped towards me.
Her arms immediately wrapped around my neck, making me chuckle. I hugged her back, but I soon pulled away to bow slightly in front of the others. "Hello. I'm Y/n," I introduced myself in Korean, which prompted Hyein to open her mouth.
"You can speak Korean?" she asked, probably because I had just introduced myself in English moments ago. "I spent the entire journey thinking about what exactly I can say in English," Hyein said, now laughing lightly, her body relaxing. This made me laugh too.
My hand on Hanni's hip while her arm was still wrapped around my neck. Danielle squealed, "Hanni has told us so much about you. Nice to finally meet you," the slightly taller one exclaimed joyfully as she jumped on the spot. Surprised by the younger one, I chuckled.
"Let me introduce everyone. This is Hyein and Haerin," the black-haired one said with a smile, pointing with her hand to each respective person. Hyein immediately flashed me a peace sign, while Haerin simply nodded at me. "This is Danielle, and I'm Minji," she finally concluded the introduction.
"Well, I don't want to seem intrusive, but I already knew that," I said, laughing lightly. "Y/n is a bunny," Hanni announced with a broad grin. Haerin smirked as her eyebrow raised, "Who's your bias?" she asked, making Hanni snort. Confidently running her hand through her hair, Hanni said, "Of course, it's me. Who else?" This made me laugh a bit.
Haerin smiled, "Is that so?" she asked as her eyes landed on me. I immediately let go of the younger one's hip, causing her to look at me with wide eyes. "Well, I don't want to flirt here," I said, laughing lightly, sparking even more curiosity from the others. "But Minji," I started, but the words got stuck in my throat. "Wow," I simply said.
Minji laughed flattered as she provocatively looked at Hanni. She immediately stuck her tongue out, "Then I'll just be her number 2!" Hanni declared, but I just hissed as I looked to the side. My best friend looked at me incredulously, "Haerin," I said defeated, which made Haerin burst into laughter.
"But enough of that. How about we go grab something to eat?" Danielle suggested, trying to lighten the mood. I smiled and agreed immediately. However, Hanni seemed to be in no mood anymore. She even put some distance between us...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Laughing, I turned my head towards Hanni as Minji said something quite funny. The others just rolled their eyes, but I honestly found it amusing. I loved Dad jokes, and Minji told quite a few. Unfortunately, my smile faded as I saw my best friend simply poking at her food.
"Hanni?" I asked, concerned. The younger one sighed and looked at me, her eyes narrowed and her face angrily contorted. "What?" she asked, annoyed. I blinked, confused, my mouth slightly open as I analyzed the expression on the younger one's face.
Lips pressed together.
Forehead wrinkled.
Eyes narrowed.
Jaw tense.
"Why are you angry?" I asked quietly, so the others wouldn't notice. Hanni snorted, "Oh, now you're giving me attention?" she asked, confusing me even more. Now, my forehead furrowed too, "Uh," I started, but Hanni just sighed as she rolled her eyes. She snorted, "Forget it, Y/n."
The rest of the meal was the same. Hanni didn't engage in any conversation and just continued poking at her food. The others talked to me, and, of course, I responded. But I was nervous. My head was racing like crazy.
What did I do wrong?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Uncertainly, my hands fidgeted together. Somehow, they had all managed to invite me to their homes. How could I say no when Hyein looked at me with those puppy eyes, Minji insisted, and even Haerin requested it. Danielle just looked at me hopefully.
The only problem, however, was Hanni. She started ignoring me, even though I primarily came to Korea because of her. Was that possibly a mistake?
"Here," I heard Minji say as she handed me a glass of water. Smiling, I immediately took it and sipped from my glass. Hanni sat next to me, but she leaned back and crossed her arms over her chest. This only made me even more nervous. "Hanni," Minji said now. The taller one took a deep breath as she looked at my best friend.
"Why don't you show Y/n your room?" Minji suggested, her eyebrows raising expectantly. Almost immediately, Haerin nodded her head. "And also, sort out whatever's going on between you two," the cat-like woman said, pointing with her index finger between Hanni and me.
Expectantly, I looked at my best friend, who stared at me stoically. A sigh escaped her lips as she got up from the couch. She briefly looked at me from over her shoulder and then walked away. My eyebrows raised, and with a sudden movement, I stood up from the couch and followed my best friend. My hands still intertwined.
Hanni opened one of the doors. "Here. My room," she monotoned as she watched me enter her room. My eyes widened in amazement, and my mouth opened as I saw the view. The Han River right in front of her balcony. But something bothered me.
"What's your problem, Hanni?" I asked now as my eyes lingered on her. Hanni looked at me for a long while. "Nothing," she answered annoyed as she rolled her eyes. Almost immediately, my jaw tensed. I was really fed up. "I'm here because of you! But... you're treating me as if I'm not even here," I started, waving my hands through the air while talking. "If that's the case, I might as well go back to Australia," I finished my sentence.
Hanni snorted, her hands on her hips. The younger one closed her door; she knew our voices would rise. That was always the case when we argued. "Because of me?! You don't even believe that yourself," the younger one said mockingly, her forehead furrowing. "If you were here because of me, you wouldn't have flirted with Minji like that!" she responded, visibly annoyed and angry.
Astonished, I sighed this time. "Are you serious? Flirted? I wasn't flirting!" I retorted, but Hanni rolled her eyes in disbelief. Her small hands clenched into fists. "I saw it, you know," she replied, mimicking my gestures. Of course, she exaggerated.
"You can't even talk! You're in a relationship, so why do you care if I flirt?" I screamed now, my face completely red. But now Hanni paused. She looked at me questioningly, and her tense shoulders relaxed. "What do you mean? I'm not in a relationship," the younger one replied calmer, approaching me a bit.
The words got stuck in my throat as I noticed how calm Hanni had become. Almost immediately, I bit my lip as I looked away. I needed to calm down before I said something I would regret.
"Y/n? Did you flirt with Minji?" she asked now, making me look at her. My eyes widened, "Were you... distant because of that?" I asked now, a goosebump slowly forming on my arms. But Hanni expected an answer, "I... No. I didn't flirt. At least not consciously," I answered now, and my best friend nodded.
"Were you jealous when you heard that I might be in a relationship?" she asked again, and almost immediately, a deep red blush appeared on my cheeks. I hesitated as I looked at our hands, "I- well... uh," I started, visibly nervous. The anger was gone, which made Hanni smile a bit, "I was jealous," she confessed, and my eyes widened.
"The thought that you might prefer one of my members over me... that you would enter a relationship with Minji," the younger one said, and my eyes widened.
She didn't mean it romantically...
Somewhat sad about what I heard, I started to laugh. I looked away once again. I had always been in love with my best friend... I didn't know exactly when it started. Maybe I had always loved her? But at some point, I began to think about her... differently than a best friend should.
"The thought that you would love someone else more than me," Hanni said now, making my eyes shoot back to her. Hanni chuckled thanks to my expression, "I love you, Y/n," the younger one said, leaving my mouth open. I hesitated as I had to register the words in my head.
"I, uh. I love you. Well, you, Hanni. I- wait. what?"
Hanni laughed because of my stuttering. Her hand on my neck as she connected our lips. My eyes widened, but I relaxed after a short while. Feeling her lips on mine, not as a daydream, was a blessing!
My hands wandered to her hips as I slowly let myself fall into the kiss. Hanni smiled as she gently pulled away from me, "Why didn't you ever... why didn't you ever tell me what you feel for me?" the same-height person asked as she looked at me with curious eyes. I swallowed down the nervousness, "Because... we're friends... I didn't want-" I started, but Hanni nodded with her head.
"I understand. This could have gone 50% wrong just now. Luckily, I know you so well," Hanni said, slightly laughing as her fingers slowly wandered from my neck into my hair. The sweet smile glued to her face. I snorted amused, "Thank goodness," I whispered in agreement.
"So. Are you finally going to kiss me, Y/n?" the younger one asked now, probably chuckling because of my bright red face. Nervously, I laughed, "Yes," I whispered only in response as I pressed my lips against hers.
"What's going on?"
"Let me see too?"
"And?"
"They're kissing."
"Did Hanni finally confess?"
"Finally. I couldn't stand the gushing about Y/n anymore."
"Keep it down, or they might hear us."
"Who's the top, and who's the bottom?"
"Hyein!"

BLs with Strong Historical Elements
Costume dramas, historical BLs, and BLs with time travel or flashbacks to historical locations & times.
These are in order of my personal preference, best at the top.
Tumblr media
I Feel You Linger in the Air
2023 Thailand
IFYLITA is an exquisite BL, from filming techniques to narrative framework (much like Until We Meet Again). It's about a gay man from our time who falls into the past, becomes a servant to a noble house, and falls in love with the heir. It turns out this has all happened several times before. Steeped in history and family drama it edges into lakorn (but not as much as To Sir With Love and with way less scenery chewing). This is an elegant and classy soulmates BL... from Thailand which normally doesn't even try for classy. The main couple (both as a pair and as individuals) were excellent, particularly Bright (Yai) whose eye-work acting style is a personal favorite of mine. Pity about the ending. Oh it wasn’t that sad but it wasn’t good either. This show could easily have earned a 10/10 from me except that it fumbled the… erm… balls in the final quarter. Argh. Whatever.
Tumblr media
Nobleman Ryu's Wedding
2021 Korea - WeTV
A boy cross-dresses to take his runaway sister's place as a bride to a shy scholar, turns out they like being married. A historical setting allowed this BL to use some seriously old fashioned romance tropes (arranged marriage, evil step-sisters, Cinderfella) but also modern BL stylings like fake relationship & secret identity (drag) plus some cute gay panic. It reminded me of 12th Night more than anything else which just happens to be my favorite Shakespeare play. For all these reasons, I adored it.
(the ghat kiss!)
Tumblr media
Tinted With You
2022 Korea - Viki
Fun stylish time travel meets portal fantasy with a likable cast, historical setting, and two actual kisses that mitigate the rough plot and issues around anachronisms.
Tumblr media
Word of Honor
2021 China (censored) - Viki/YouTube?
I don’t rec Chinese stuff often, because I believe in censoring the censors, but this show is one of my favorites of the post 2016 censored bromances. It’s two murder-gay assassins (pining sunshine/tsundere), and they are so insanely gay for two boys who will never be allowed to kiss. Tropes include: wuxia, soulmates, paranormal, historical, and fantasy elements.
Tumblr media
To Sir, With Love AKA Khun Chai
2022 Thailand - YouTube?
This is a true lakorn (basically Thai tellenovella or soap opera) with scenery chewing performances, especially from the mother characters. Gone With the Wind + Days of Our Lives but gay. That said? I loved it: A glorious central brother relationship (the best, made me cry), het romances, class divide + gay *gasp* main romance - oh my word, the campy drama of it all! Arranged marriage, rebellion, cut sleeves, over-the-top death with curses and regrets, beautiful if inaccurate costumes, secrets unraveling, cover ups, sparkle murder, sex herbs, coils within coils including snakes and murderous green metallic sequins (is anything gayer on this earth?). It’s a WILD ride but it does end happy for our gay boys. A man cries when he finds DEATH GLITTER. Come on! You haffa watch it. That said, like Manner of Death I struggle to rate something on a BL scale when it patently isn’t a BL. So I ended up giving this exactly what I gave that show, 7/10 I enjoyed it a whole lot, but not as a BL.
Tumblr media
The Untamed (Special BL Edition)
2020 China (censored) - YouTube
Censored wuxia bromance, amorphous ending. Probubly the best known BL of its kind out of China and responsible for bring many fans to the BL side.
Tumblr media
Our Skyy 2: Never Let Me Go
2023 Thailand - YouTube
I was nervous to watch this PondPhuwin vehicle but I liked it a lot! Doomed soulmates + paranormal time travel to fix the past. I’m happy for the outfits and the dancing (if not the singing). It’s not a bad premise and it’s nice to see GMMTV lean into its high production values for a change. I'd adore a full historical starring these two and this was definitely the best of the second series of Our Skyy. I don't think you have to have watched the original Never Let Me Go to enjoy this.
Legend of Long Yang: Rebirth
2017 China
Gaga
Whipping boy trope... literally, servant character takes the strap for the prince, who then makes him his bodyguard and lover when he becomes king. Low budget historical, comes off as kind of cosplay wuxia version of Irresistible Love, but we get (in the credits) an actual kiss, and they both live. So yay for small mercies.
Tumblr media
The Director Who Buys Me Dinner
2023 Korea (historical flash backs)
iQIYI
A new employee at a film company encounters a director who claims to have lived 300 years and insists that they have to date (eat, hug & kiss) if baby doesn't want to die. It has a lot of Japanese elements, not the least of which are: an office setting, the fact that every character in this show is unhinged, and a killing of the gays. Featuring a gorgeous & stellar cast, TDWBMD should have utilized them less for melodrama and more for chemistry. This BL surprised me by going there with a lipstick mark AND an actually gay idol. But (you knew there was a but) while it's a unique twist on an office romance it is NOT a unique twist on the doomed red thread trope, resulting in it feeling less than the sum of its parts and ultimately unsatisfying. This might have also had to do with the fact that this was one of those KBLs where I felt how very short it was the whole time I was watching, like I was missing something constantly, in every episode. Worth watching for some but seriously flawed.
Tumblr media
First Love Again
2022 Korea (historical flash backs) - Viki
A popular novelist who remembers his past lives meets his soulmate for the third time, only to find she has been reincarnated into the body of a man. This one started out a touch mean-spirited, but we eventually got a good kiss. The confession/rejection scene was justified and the reconciliation and ending was... fine. All in all, the pacing felt rushed and the romantic arc was underdeveloped. They go from like to love to boyfriends in a red hot minute. But that’s par for the course with Korea’s short form. If you don’t mind a heavy does of melodrama in your BL this one has a solid story with a strong concept that’s well acted and produced, making it a classic KBL with better than average chemistry but ultimately a touch forgettable.
Tumblr media
Love in Spring AKA Spring of Crush
2022 Korea
This show was all over the place with uneven acting, narrative, and focus (sometimes it wanted to be a slapstick comedy, sometimes a depressing melodrama) which meant no one, actors or viewers, took anyone or anything seriously.... AND it’s a bromance. I was left wondering if SalHyung is now code for “they were roommates” in Kdrama historicals but otherwise largely apathetic and unimpressed. Korea, I now know you can do better. Do better.
Mermaid's Jade
2019 China (censored-esk) - Gaga
Kills the gay.
The Male Queen: Han Zi Gao
2016 China - Gaga
Kills the gay. Schrodinger's BL, both a BL and entirely not one at the same time.
Diary of Heong Yeong Dang
2014 Korea
Kills the Gay
I was gonna do a top 10 list, but there aren't enough by my metrics, so many end sadly.
This post at the behest of @verymuchof thank you for the idea!
Dated April 2023, includes only BLs that had finished their run by that date. Not responsible for cool costume flix that come after that. But you should check the comments to see if any have been added by others!
I might have missed a few that only have time historical elements since I don't always track those.
Also I would like to point out a decided lack of Japan on this list. My ninja yaoi consuming tiny past self is VERY upset about this void.
WHERE ARE MY GAY NINJAS??!!!

finally back from a long business trip your husband takes you to a very nice date to celebrate. but after so long apart you are not sure you can keep your hands to yourself on your way to the restaurant
[❛i’m not wearing any underwear. thought you’d like to know.❜]
TUMBLR IS BASED ON REBLOGS. PLEASE REBLOG MY WORK 🖤
Tumblr media
Inspired by Partition by Beyoncé
Took forty-five minutes to get all dressed up
We ain't even gonna make it to this club
Being married to Song Mingi, the extremely successful music producer, came with a price. And that price was time. Mingi’s time was a rare resource and extremely valuable. One day working with the Weeknd on his next album, the next day negotiating to sign with Beyonce. He was always traveling and working.
But despite all of that your husband always made sure you were his top priority and that you knew about it. Whether he would take you around the world with him and catch a nice vacation for the both of you after an intense business trip or he would make sure to take you out to a very nice date on his return.
This time it was the latter. Mingi had been gone for a while. He had to postpone the flight back to Korea a couple of times to get the job done in LA. But finally that was out of the way and he was back to you.
The timing was so tight that it was to the point where he didn’t have time to come home before the date and was just going to pick you up with his chauffeur. He didn't tell you where you were going but he said “to be prepared to be blown away”.
And coming from him that meant a lot. Mingi liked nice things and he always opted for the very best regardless of the price. So knowing that about him you knew the occasion will be anything but modest.
You opted for a lilac designer night gown, with a delicately beaded corsage that complimented your neckline, dipping just low enough. The bottom of the dress was flowy, a gradient color from lilac color to a nude. The material was flowy with light feathers and mesh. It was gorgeous and grandiose. Like the promise of this night finally reunited with your husband.
Your make up was along the line of the dress. Nude with some pop of color on the lids and on the lips. Noticeable but elegant.
When the doorbell rang you felt your stomach tighten. You were nervous. After all these years he still made your guts stir with anticipation. There’s no denying you’re head over hills for this man.
You run to the entryway, grabbing your clutch on the way and open the big mansion door.
When you look up at him you see him as dashing as ever. Cladded in a haute couture black tuxedo. Long ash blonde hair slicked back, just a single strand curved on his forehead. He looked dapper. He held out his hand for you to climb down the front steps to his arm, making sure not to injure yourself with your stiletto heels.
“You’re absolutely stunning," he said, kissing you softly on the lips, his mouth being pulled in the signature half smile that you loved so much.
He opened the door of the limo for you and helped you get in with the dress, setting you in comfortably.
The chauffeur did the same to him and took place behind the wheel.
Mingi gave him instructions on the destination. Your husband was used to bossing people around and it put you in a different mood to hear his stern voice.
You couldn’t help but to want him to boss you too. It was your turn and you couldn't stand one more second of him giving his attention to anybody other than you.
So you let your hand rest on his knee. At first he makes nothing of it and continues to guide the chauffeur around the traffic jam. So you let your hands glide up his thick muscular thigh all the way to his crotch. When your pinky brushes against his sensitive area you stop.
“What are you doing?” Mingi interrupts himself to look at you. Even though it’s a question it’s rhetorical because he knows damn well what you are doing.
“Kiss me” you answered in a feverish tone.
Mingi obliged when you pulled him by his tie. His huge frame towering over you as you felt miniscule, vulnerable and turned on. Your hands started to roam his body through his attire first the thighs then the abs then when you were about to reach his growing bulge he caught your hand.
“Shouldn’t we eat before we get to the dessert?” he lightly chuckles at your enthusiasm. You sighed deeply, visibly annoyed.
What a joykill.
“Fine!” you pouted, sitting yourself back. “But I'm not wearing any underwear. Thought you’d like to know.” you added in a slightly teasing tone.
Mingi’s expression instantly changed. From the light hearted chuckles to the cold and serious eyes that held so much power over you. The turn in his behavior and in his aura was obvious. From loving husband to sex deprived pervert.
He started to wrestle with your dress, lifting it up to testify of the truth of your statement and you squealed in surprise when you found yourself exposed like that without a heads up. Your husband let go of the flowy fabric, hiding your intimacy again behind the numerous linings and looked at you in disbelief.
“You are actually serious”
“Of course I am” you bite back hurriedly flattening the material back in place.
“Fuck baby” Mingi burried his face in the crook of your neck, his deep voice merely a low rumble soaked with lust hitting you right in the chest, tightening your stomach in knots of anticipation. You knew this tone and what it meant.
“I was trying…” he started to kiss your neck going up to your ear. “was trying so fucking hard to behave.” He licked around your ear, wet sounds bouncing back on the low ceiling of the limo, making your arousal leak through the unguarded designer dress.
“Trying to be a good husband, not devouring you the second I laid eyes on you” his hand dug into your waist pulling you closer to him. “But I can’t fucking win with you, can I?” he growled, unexpectedly biting your earlobe.
You were absolutely feral for him. After being separated for such a longtime the only thing you wanted was to be his. His cedarwood and orange blossom cologne was making you dizzy. Hypnotized by his deep voice. Controlled by his big hands.
He started to push your thin straps to the side. But as your chest was about to finally reveal itself to Mingi’s hungry gaze you stopped him.
“Shouldn’t we roll up the partition?” you asked, throwing one worried glance at the chauffeur that seemed a little too focussed on the road to be genuine.
“Don’t worry I pay Jongho well enough for him to keep his mouth shut. Isn’t that right Jongho?”
“It is, Sir” the chauffeur politely responded, expressionless eyes, diligently glued to the road.
“See?” Mingi returned with a sly smirk “Plus you know how much I love showing you off” he tipped your strap over your shoulder, revealing one of your breasts. Your heart was pounding in your chest, and knowing you were potentially being watched didn’t help one bit but somehow it felt thrilling.
Your husband pushed the other strap and soon your chest was on full display for him.
“So fucking perfect for me” he whispered immediately diving in and tasting your fiery skin on his wet tongue.
His mouth wrapped around one of your nipples, teasing it, biting it and sucking it while his hand was fondling and pinching the other. Until they reached full hardness.
You whined at his every touch, barely containing yourself to beg for more, to beg for him.
“Fuck baby show it to me again” he breathed out he as prompt his chin to the dress.
You had a glance to Jongho, still as calm and focused as a meditating monk. And you lifted the dress once again.
Mingi’s jaw dropped in awe. He always considered you as one of the seven wonders of the world. But each time he looked at you it seemed like somehow you got even more perfect.
He brought his hand to gently pull your lips apart. Uncovering the unholy and glistening mess you managed to make in such a short time.
“You’re so fucking wet for me” he sighed, biting down his bottom lip, your shimering folds putting a spell on him.
“Please Mingi” you squirmed. “Please, I want you.”
“Good girl, asking so nicely… Just can’t say no to you”
His thumb circled over your clit, drawing a light gasp out of you. Slow and steady circles only making you gush even more. Mingi slipped one finger inside and you felt like you were melting at the end of his fingers, nails digging in the expensive leather of the limo. Your stilettos barely hanging to your toes.
“Yessss” you whined, finally getting what you’ve been craving for weeks.
“You’re sucking me in so well baby” Mingi praised before slipping a second finger in. You felt the warm metal of his wedding ring entering you and whined louder.
“Please…faster” you asked, short of breath, your mind getting hazy.
“Of course, my princess”
He curled his fingers right into your sweet spot, circling it a couple of times before pumping in and out of you.
His big hands were experts at making you come undone for him, ravaging you in the most pleasant of ways. He knew you like the back of his hand and you couldn't help but to shamelessly moan and every thrust of his wrist.
“That's it baby. We want to hear you squeal” his lustful voice whispered.
We?
You glanced over at the chauffeur again and this time you could have sworn you made eye contact in the rearview mirror while his face was briefly shone under the pacing street lights but… did you imagine that?
“Hmmm baby” Mingi smacked his lips. “You really like giving a good show, huh?” Mingi smirked as he felt you becoming tighter. “Such a good girl for me.” He pumped in and out at a faster pace. A pace that he knew would end you. But since he hadn’t uttered the magic words yet you held it in.
It took everything you had to not cum on the spot. You tried to not think about your husband's lustful eyebrow raises and lip bites, about the unholy squelching wet sounds your wet cunt was producing, about the wandering eyes of Jongho in the front seat. You tried so hard but you were on the verge of exploding.
“Pleaseee” you desperately begged as a last cry for help, a last hopeless request for your release.
“Go ahead my princess” Mingi whispered, administering the fatal blow as his thumb went back to drawing fast circles on your hyper sensitive clit while finger fucking you into oblivion.
“Cum. Now.” his stern low voice ordered.
You instantly came undone. Your pussy gripping around your husband’s beautiful long fingers, stretching you to perfection. Your nectar flowing out of your like a river as you cried out in bliss, throwing your head back on the head rest, eyes rolling back into your skull with fatal joy.
Mingi gradually slowed down, allowing you to come off your high before pulling his digits out of you. You crashed your lips on his not caring about the state of your lipstick and started to fidget with the buttons of his vest but he started to chuckles into the kiss.
“Babe, we’re here” he said, pushing his messy hair back.
“What already?” you pouted in disappointment.
“We’ve been in the car for almost 45 minutes” your husband chuckled again.
“But I…”
“Let’s go baby or they might give our table away… Let's eat and on the way back I'll let you return the favor. How about that?” your eyes darted to his constricted bulge, lips burning at the idea of tasting him.
“Find a parking spot and wait for us, Jongho… I have a feeling we won’t be long”
“Yes, Sir”
A/N: oof sorry for taking so long to update! my first mingi smut did you like it?? leave a comment or drop by my asks. feedback is always appreciated <3

The air hummed with anticipation as the clock struck five on a balmy Friday evening, signaling the end of another grueling workweek. The city was alive with the promise of the weekend, and you could practically taste the freedom in the air.
Your heart quickened with excitement as you left the office behind, knowing that the world was now your oyster. With the sun casting a warm, golden glow over the bustling streets, you rendezvoused with your closest friends, as you always did when the weekend beckoned. Laughter and camaraderie were your constant companions, and tonight was no exception.
As the night unfolded, you found yourselves in a new bar that had recently emerged as the hidden gem of the city’s nightlife. It exuded an inviting aura, drawing you in like a moth to a flame. With plush leather booths that cradled you in comfort and a softly lit ambiance that created an air of mystery, this place was different, and you could sense it.
Seated in a spacious booth with enough room for all eight of you, you felt the buzz of excitement ripple through your group.
You take charge, ordering a round of beers for everyone, a familiar role you’ve come to embrace as the only woman in the group. The bartender nods with a knowing smile, having seen this ritual play out countless times before.
With practiced ease, you slide the cold bottles onto a tray and carry them over to the waiting table, the anticipation of the first sip palpable in the air.
As you distribute the drinks, your friends don’t hesitate to lend a hand, their camaraderie a testament to the strong bond that holds your group together.
Each bottle clinks against the table, a chorus of celebration for the weekend ahead. The men around you, usually boisterous and full of banter, fall into a brief, contemplative silence, their eyes fixed on the frothy brews before them.
For a fleeting moment, the world outside fades away, and you all savor the taste of the golden elixir. It’s not just about the beer; it’s about the shared moments, the stories, and the unspoken understanding that binds you all together. The dim glow of the bar’s ambient lighting casts a warm, comforting veil over your group, cocooning you in a world where time seems to stand still.
As you shared stories and caught up on each other’s lives, the bonds of friendship grew even stronger.
Seokjin, with a twinkle in his eye, leaned in and shared exciting news—he and his girlfriend were taking a leap of faith and moving in together. His face radiated happiness, and you couldn’t help but share in his joy, toasting to the beginning of this new chapter in his life.
Namjoon, nursing his beer, let out a weary sigh as he recounted the daily grind of his office job. The weariness etched into his features spoke volumes about his longing for change and adventure, and you empathized with his desire for something more.
Jungkook, the youngest of your group, excitedly shares his latest venture, a brand-new modeling gig that demands he showcase his sculpted physique. With each word, he vividly describes the sensation of being in front of the camera, the sensation of the studio lights warming his skin, and the countless hours he’s dedicated to chiseling his abs in the gym, transforming his body into a work of art.
Hoseok, the sunbeam of the group, exuded infectious enthusiasm as he described his teaching job, imparting the joy of dance to a classroom full of eager, smiling children. His laughter filled the air, warming the hearts of everyone at the table. You couldn’t help but admire his passion and the positive impact he had on those young minds.
Amidst the lively chatter, Taehyung leaned forward, his eyes lighting up as he shared his new passion for photography. He excitedly talked about the growing number of followers on his Instagram, each click of the shutter capturing a piece of his soul. The way he described his creative journey made it clear that this was more than a hobby—it was his escape, his sanctuary.
Jimin, on the other hand, slouched slightly in his seat, his eyes betraying the weight of his graphic design job. His once-bright spirit seemed overshadowed by the relentless stress that gnawed at him daily. He opened up about the overwhelming workload, the tight deadlines, and how the constant pressure was taking a toll on his well-being. You couldn’t help but empathize, for you too were trapped in a similar cycle.
You glanced at your own reflection in the condensation-covered beer bottle, a sigh escaping your lips. The walls of the corporate marketing world were closing in on you, suffocating your creativity, and overwhelming you with stress. Burnout was creeping closer, and you knew you needed a well-deserved break to reclaim your sanity.
Amidst the collective sighs and groans about the perils of office life, there was Yoongi, the mechanic. He leaned back, his expression content, almost defiant. While the rest of you complained, he cherished every moment in his garage, grease-stained hands and all. The smell of engine oil and the clank of metal were his symphony, and his love for his work shone through. The contrast between his satisfaction and your collective frustration was stark, a reminder that there were different paths to happiness.
The dimly lit bar provided a sanctuary for your candid conversation with Jimin. He sighed, his gaze fixed on the swirling patterns of condensation on his beer. The weight of your stressful lives hung heavy in the air, a shared burden you both desperately needed to unload.
“We should really consider taking some time off,” Jimin mused, his voice tinged with a hint of longing as he brought the cold bottle to his lips, his eyes locking with yours. The sincerity in his gaze made it clear that this was more than just casual chatter.
You nodded, a mix of agreement and resignation. “I’d love to, but you know how my boss is. Getting time off is like pulling teeth,” you admitted, deflated by the reality of your job’s demands.
Jimin’s lips curved into a sympathetic smile, his empathy palpable. “I know what you mean,” he said, taking a final swig of his beer, his shoulders slumping. “What would we even do on a break, though?”
With a sigh, you emptied the remnants of your beer, contemplating the questions. “Maybe just Netflix all day?” you suggested with a wistful laugh, the idea of relaxation feeling like a distant dream.
However, before the conversation could lose itself in the realm of impracticality, Yoongi interjected, his words cutting through the haze of doubt. “Or we could all go on a vacation together,” he proposed, his voice surprisingly confident.
The suggestion hung in the air, momentarily shocking you and Jimin into silence. The surrounding chatter among the other men faded, their curious glances turning in your direction. Gasps escaped your lips in unison, and the hushed anticipation in the room was palpable as everyone eagerly awaited your response.
“What do you mean?” you asked, your eyes widening in surprise as Yoongi’s unexpected proposal hung in the air.
Yoongi shrugged nonchalantly, a mischievous glint in his eyes as he reached for another beer from the middle of the table. “We could take a trip in Holly,” he explained casually, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. Holly, his self-renovated VW camper van, had seen its fair share of adventures, and tonight, it seemed destined for another one.
The idea seemed to catch like wildfire, sparking enthusiasm around the table. Jimin leaned forward, his eyes gleaming with wonder.
“A camping trip?” he asked, already lost in thought, his excitement palpable.
Jungkook’s face lit up with a wide, boyish grin. “That sounds so fun, hyung!” he exclaimed, unable to contain his eagerness.
Seokjin, normally the voice of reason in your friend group, chimed in with a hint of excitement. “I’d have to check with my girlfriend, but it does sound like a blast,” he admitted, his willingness to consider the idea evident.
Namjoon, the thoughtful thinker, let out a hopeful sigh, “That actually sounds like just what I need,” he said, the weight of his office job still heavy on his mind.
The excitement and anticipation in the room were infectious, as if the mere mention of the camping trip had breathed new life into all of you.
The realization dawned that Yoongi’s beloved camper van, Holly, couldn’t accommodate all of you at once. It was a cozy van, filled with memories of countless journeys, but its space was limited. He had made the dining and back seats in Holly removable and customizable, so the seats could be turned into a bed big enough to fit two people. Then there was the overhead space big enough to fit one (or two every comfortable) person(s). Yoongi’s solution therefore, delivered with a sly smile, was to take turns with your vacations, ensuring that the bond of friendship remained unbroken.
“Let’s divide ourselves into groups of five,” he suggested, as you all huddled together, discussing the logistics. The prospect of close quarters and shared adventures only seemed to add to the excitement. You’d been friends for so many years that the idea of sleeping shoulder-to-shoulder with each other brought a sense of comfort rather than discomfort.
“The sleeping arrangement might be a tad tight,” Yoongi acknowledged, “but we’ve faced far worse challenges together.” His words were met with nods of agreement, a testament to the unbreakable bond you all shared.
Jimin, always the planner of the group, chimed in, “We can even set up a tent outside for those who prefer it, under the starry night sky.” The thought of sleeping beneath the open heavens, surrounded by the tranquil sounds of nature, sparked a sense of adventure in all of you.
As the discussion continued, you could feel the anticipation building. The prospect of taking turns with your vacations only made the idea more exciting.
You imagined the laughter, the late-night talks around a campfire, and the shared experiences that lay ahead. The decision to divide yourselves into smaller groups only added to the sense of adventure, ensuring that each trip would be a unique and intimate experience. The camaraderie among your friends was unshakable, and the thought of spending quality time together, exploring new places, filled you with a sense of anticipation that was truly electrifying.
Each of you had to face the inevitable reality of asking for time off from your demanding jobs, but the mere thought of the adventure awaiting you was worth every ounce of effort. There was an unspoken agreement among you all, a silent pledge to make it work.
Jimin couldn’t help but grin from ear to ear as he contemplated the escape from his stressful work life. His eyes sparkled with dreams of the places you’d explore and the memories you’d create.
Jungkook, probably the most adventurous of the group, was practically bouncing in his seat, already mentally packing his bags for the journey. His enthusiasm was infectious, reigniting the fervor in everyone else.
Seokjin approached the situation with a sense of practicality, contemplating the delicate task of convincing his girlfriend to join in on the adventure. Yet, his hopeful tone hinted at his desire to make it work, as he imagined the joy of shared experiences.
Namjoon had already begun to envision the break as a chance to rejuvenate his weary spirit. His sigh of relief was almost palpable, the idea of escaping the office grind a beacon of hope.
And then there was Yoongi with a heart full of wanderlust. His eyes gleamed with determination, a silent promise that he would do whatever it took to ensure that Holly, his trusted van, would carry them on this journey of a lifetime.
As Yoongi excused himself to go to the toilet, a charged atmosphere settled around the table. Like moths drawn to a flame, the guys leaned in, their voices hushed, concern etched on their faces. They knew, as well as you did, about the feelings you harbored for Yoongi, feelings you’d kept locked away for so long.
Jungkook couldn’t help but voice his worry. “Are you sure you’re okay with being cramped together in his camper van for so long?” he asked, a hint of laughter in his tone but genuine concern underlying his words. His eyes bore into yours, searching for any signs of hesitation.
You sighed, your gaze drifting toward the empty seat where Yoongi had been moments ago. “I’ll be fine,” you replied, your voice carrying a mixture of determination and trepidation. Deep down, you were already apprehensive, knowing that the close confines of the van could only fuel the feelings you’d tried so hard to suppress.
Memories of past vacations with your friends haunted you. Those trips had been both a blessing and a curse, bringing you closer to Yoongi, yet painfully highlighting the unspoken love you carried for him. It seemed that everyone except Yoongi was aware of your hidden affection.
When you first met Yoongi a decade ago, the memory remains etched in your mind like a vivid painting. Jimin had introduced you two, and from that very moment, you were inexplicably drawn to him. His soulful, dark brown eyes held a certain depth that seemed to see right through you, and his laid-back, carefree attitude enveloped you in a comforting embrace.
Over the years, you watched as he dated other people, trying to suppress your own growing feelings. You, too, went through your share of relationships, attempting to bury your emotions beneath layers of fleeting connections.
Yet, no matter how hard you tried, your heart continued to beat with an unrelenting ache for him. Your friendship with Yoongi deepened, and the more you got to know him, the more precious he became. He was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes. Despite your best efforts, you couldn’t bring yourself to confess your feelings, fearing it might jeopardize the beautiful bond you shared.
As time passed, you began to doubt whether he felt the same way about you. It seemed like the universe conspired to keep you apart, never aligning the stars in your favor. But your heart still held onto that glimmer of hope, a tiny flame of longing that refused to be extinguished.

You mustered the courage to approach your boss and request time off from work, your heart pounding with anticipation.
To your astonishment, your boss, who had been closely monitoring your dedication and the extra hours you’d poured into your job, responded with a broad smile.
‘Take as much time off as you need,’ he said warmly, his approval a beacon of recognition for your hard work. It felt like a dream, a reward for your dedication that you never thought possible.
Unlike the rest of you, Yoongi held the unique advantage of being his own boss, running his own successful business. The mere mention of vacation didn’t send shivers down his spine as it did for some of your friends who faced the daunting task of navigating office politics and requesting time off. Instead, Yoongi could simply close down his shop without the constraints of corporate bureaucracy, making the prospect of this vacation all the more tantalizing and carefree.
Deep in conversation in another bar, you and Yoongi contemplated the duration of your upcoming journey. As the words flowed between you, you couldn’t help but yearn for an extended break, a chance to escape the relentless grind of everyday life.
With a thoughtful look, you suggested, “What if we make it three months?”
The idea of such an extended vacation felt like a lifeline, offering not just relaxation but also the opportunity to truly disconnect from the stresses of the world. It was a bold proposition, a leap into the unknown, and the very thought of it filled you with a sense of exhilaration and anticipation.
Discussions had swirled among the group about the length of the upcoming vacation, and the other guys had mentioned that they could manage to get three to four weeks off work.
You and Yoongi exchanged a knowing look, understanding that your own schedules were more flexible. In a quiet moment, you leaned in toward Yoongi, your eyes meeting his with a mixture of excitement and anticipation.
“Maybe we could spend a couple of weeks on our own,” you suggested, the idea of sharing that intimate time with him making your heart race. It was a decision that felt like a secret shared between the two of you, a chance to deepen your connection amidst the adventures that awaited.
You hope your heart can take it.
Jimin, Jungkook, and Taehyung eagerly synced their hectic schedules, determined to kick off the adventure with you and Yoongi on the very first stretch of the trip. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and the prospect of shared moments and laughter with your best friends at the start of the journey filled you with excitement.
As the days ticked by, anticipation grew like a wildfire. You could practically taste the adventure that awaited.

As the final week of work drew to a close, you couldn’t contain your excitement for the impending camping trip with your best friends.
Your evenings were a whirlwind of activity, filled with carefully selecting and packing canned foods and your favorite snacks, to bundling up your comfy duvet, selecting just the right clothes for the journey, and securing your trusty bike, and the flutter of anticipation that danced in your chest with each passing day.
It was a week of meticulous preparations and eager anticipation, a countdown to the adventure that awaited.
For the first leg of your journey, you and your friends had collectively chosen Busan as your destination, having found a perfect Park Auto Campground.
The decision to travel to Busan held a special significance, as it was a place close to Jimin and Jungkook’s hearts—where they had grown up, shared memories, and formed deep connections.
As you envisioned the adventure that lay ahead, you couldn’t help but feel the excitement building. Busan, with its pristine beaches, bustling markets, and the familiar laughter of friends, promised a week of nostalgia, bonding, and unforgettable experiences. It was more than just a location; it was a place filled with stories and cherished memories, and you couldn’t wait to explore it with Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook, reliving their past and creating new memories together.

The long-awaited day of your adventure had finally arrived, and the excitement in the air was palpable.
With everything meticulously packed, you and Yoongi set off to pick up Taehyung, Jimin, and Jungkook, who were waiting eagerly, their laughter and chatter a prelude to the journey ahead.
The interior of the van was a testament to Yoongi’s craftsmanship, the extra seats he had skillfully fashioned providing a comfortable and cozy space for your friends.
Taehyung, Jimin, and Jungkook settled in, their faces radiating anticipation as they found their spots amidst the camping gear and provisions. As you and Yoongi took your places in the front seats, a sense of togetherness washed over you. The engine roared to life, and the open road beckoned, promising a cascade of adventures and memories waiting to be made.
Together, you embarked on the journey to Busan, the road stretching out before you like an uncharted path of adventure. The drive was a symphony of laughter and camaraderie, the hours from Seoul to Busan passing in the blink of an eye amidst shared tales and uproarious laughter.
As you journeyed down the familiar highway, memories of your enduring friendship came flooding back, like cherished chapters from a well-worn book. Stories of your youth, of misadventures and inside jokes, wove a tapestry of nostalgia, each anecdote igniting fresh bursts of laughter and heartfelt smiles.
The highway seemed like a time machine, propelling you into the past while carrying you toward the future. The miles melted away, but the bonds of friendship grew stronger, each passing mile a testament to the enduring connection you all shared.
After a journey filled with laughter and anticipation, you reached your destination: a Park Auto Campground next to the Nakdonggang River. The site greeted you with open arms, its serene beauty stretching out before your eager eyes as if welcoming old friends.
As you scoured the area from the van, Yoongi expertly maneuvered Holly to find the perfect parking spot. The soft hum of the engine came to a halt, and the atmosphere was filled with the gentle rustle of leaves and the distant murmur of a nearby river. With Holly now parked in its serene haven, a collective sigh of contentment escaped your lips.
The camping site held the promise of adventure and tranquility, a canvas upon which you would paint memories to last a lifetime.
The rhythmic clatter of camping gear being unpacked and the rustling of fabric filled the serene surroundings. With a sense of unity, you and Yoongi expertly set up the camper van, unfurling the marquee with practiced precision.
Nearby, Jungkook and Taehyung worked in tandem, constructing their cozy tent under the sheltering canopy of trees. The spirit of teamwork and shared adventure was palpable, as each of you played a vital role in creating your temporary home. Yoongi and Jimin would convert the seats into a makeshift bed, ensuring their comfort for the night. Meanwhile, you would sleep in the top bunk overhead in Holly, a cozy vantage point that promised a night under the stars.
With everything set up and the campsite now a cozy haven, you and your friends gathered together, sitting in a circle amidst the rustic charm of your surroundings. The sun bathed you all in a warm, golden glow as you indulged in light snacks, the tantalizing aroma mingling with the sounds of shared laughter and conversations.
The relentless heat outside compelled you to make a bold wardrobe choice.
You opted for a bikini, the cool fabric hugging your skin like a second, refreshing layer. Over it, you threw on an oversized, crisp white shirt that billowed gently in the warm breeze, and paired it with comfy shorts. The combination was a blend of comfort and casual chic, perfect for the scorching day ahead.
While the guys collectively opted for a moment of relaxation, sinking into their seats to unwind, you felt a different kind of energy coursing through you. The allure of the campsite beckoned, and you couldn’t resist the call of adventure.
As you ventured along the Riverside, the world seemed to slow down, and the beauty of nature unfolded before you.
The River stretched out before you, its cool, glistening waters an irresistible contrast to the relentless, sweltering heat of the day.
You were well aware that the River wasn’t intended for swimming, yet the allure of the refreshing waters beckoned irresistibly. As beads of sweat formed on your brow, you couldn’t help but contemplate the idea of a quick dip.
The prospect of the water caressing your skin, offering a brief respite from the scorching sun, seemed like a tantalizing temptation. A moment of hesitation hung in the air, your internal debate reflecting the eternal struggle between caution and the sheer joy of spontaneity.
Would it really hurt to take a short plunge?
With a sense of urgency, you hastily shed your shirt and shorts, driven by the need to escape the uncomfortable embrace of your clinging clothing. The scorching sun had left you longing for a moment of relief, and the thought of your clothes sticking uncomfortably to your body after your dip was unbearable.
As you wade into the River, the shock of its icy embrace sends shivers down your spine, an invigorating jolt that instantly cools your overheated body.
The water’s chill becomes a welcome refuge from the relentless heat. As you ventured further into the refreshing waters, the sun’s warm caress on your skin, you reveled in the cool embrace of the River. The serenity of the moment was interrupted by an unexpected surge, a hidden current that wrapped around you with a sudden, forceful grip.
In an instant, the playful tug of the stream unraveled the delicate string of your bikini bra, causing it to slip from your body and disappear downstream.
Panic surged through you, and you reached out desperately, fingers grasping at the elusive fabric, but it slipped through your trembling hands like a fleeting dream.
With your heart pounding and cheeks flushed, you instinctively covered your exposed breasts with one hand, the other waving frantically as you called out for Jimin, your voice a mix of surprise and embarrassment.
Desperation welled up inside you as you stood in the River, your voice carrying your distress with a pleading intensity.
“Jimin!” you called out, the sound of his name echoing across the water.
Each syllable was laced with a raw sense of urgency, as if your very survival depended on him hearing and responding to your plea.
Thankfully, Jimin’s sharp ears didn’t fail him. As he sat leisurely, engrossed in the pages of a book, the distant sound of your frantic yell cut through the tranquility of the campsite like a thunderclap.
His head snapped up, eyes widening in alarm as he quickly scanned the surroundings. The book slipped from his grasp, forgotten, as his instincts kicked into high gear. He’d heard your distress call, and without a moment’s hesitation, he was on his feet, ready to sprint towards the source of your urgency.
Jimin strolled briskly toward the Riverside, his curiosity piqued by your urgent call.
As his eyes landed on your shivering form, it didn’t take him long to grasp the comical situation you’d found yourself in—a situation he’d shared with you once before.
With a knowing grin, he couldn’t suppress a chuckle, the sound bubbling up from deep within him. His laughter, filled with camaraderie rather than mockery, drew the attention of your friends, who turned their heads to see what had captured Jimin’s amusement.
There you stood, half-exposed, a mix of embarrassment and amusement dancing across your face as Jimin’s laughter rang out.
Expletives rang in your mind as you realized the collective gaze of your friends and even nearby campers had zeroed in on your predicament.
The disapproving glares from unfamiliar faces added another layer of discomfort to your already embarrassing situation.
Great, just great!
You couldn’t help but hiss at your friends, their raucous laughter ringing in your ears like a chorus of mockery. It was as if the universe had conspired to turn this innocent mishap into a spectacle, and you were at the center of it all.
The heat of embarrassment flushed your cheeks, but your determination to salvage your dignity burned even hotter.
Jimin couldn’t contain his laughter as he turned to Yoongi, his eyes twinkling with mischief.
“Hyung, can you be our hero and help her?” he asked, a playful grin tugging at his lips.
Yoongi let out an exaggerated groan, his reluctance comically evident. Yet, he couldn’t resist the camaraderie of the moment and rose from his seat with a theatrical sigh.
With determined strides, Yoongi made his way over to you in the River, his expression a mix of feigned annoyance and genuine concern. His willingness to help spoke volumes about the unwavering bonds of friendship that bound your group together, even in the most amusing of circumstances.
Jimin couldn’t contain his amusement as he descended from the Riverside, his giggles echoing through the campsite like a contagious melody. His laughter was an infectious blend of mirth and camaraderie, a testament to the enduring bonds of your friendship that could turn even the most embarrassing situations into moments of shared joy.
As Yoongi approached, his gaze landed on you standing in the River, hands firmly over your chest. His voice, tinged with a hint of weariness from his earlier relaxation, held genuine concern as he inquired, “What happened?”
You sighed, your voice tinged with both relief and lingering embarrassment.
“... My bra fell off,” you admitted, your gaze sweeping the river’s surface in search of the missing garment. As you scanned the water, your heart skipped a beat with both trepidation and a glimmer of hope.
Luck was on your side, as you finally spotted your bra, ensnared in the river’s embrace, just a short distance from Yoongi. You couldn’t help but feel a surge of gratitude and amusement as you pointed in his direction, your tone playful yet appreciative.
“It’s over there,” you called out.
He hummed thoughtfully, taking cautious steps closer to the elusive piece of clothing. As his fingers extended, a gentle breeze teased at the fabric, causing it to flutter away like a playful phantom.
Your cheeks burned with embarrassment, a vivid blush warming your skin.
Yet, despite the mortification, a sense of relief washed over you as your oversized shirt remained firmly on the grass in the Riverside, preserving your modesty.
A grateful smile tugged at your lips as you acknowledged Yoongi’s well-intentioned attempt. “Thanks for trying, Yoon,” you murmured, your voice laced with appreciation and a touch of amusement.
“So, are you coming out or what?” Yoongi called out, his voice carrying a mix of curiosity and playful impatience as he waited for you. With a laugh in your voice, you responded with a confident ‘yes,’ your words echoing across the tranquil waters.
You moved through the water with deliberate grace, a sense of vulnerability washing over you as you became mindful of your exposed form. Your arms instinctively crossed over your breasts, each ripple in the water causing a flutter of anxiety.
With slow and deliberate movements, you located your discarded shirt and shorts amidst the rocky shoreline. As you wanted to dress, you called out to Yoongi, your voice soft but firm, “Turn around, don’t look.”
You could feel the warmth of a blush rising in your cheeks, and the weight of his gaze on your skin only added to the intensity of the moment.
He obeyed your request without hesitation, the soft shuffle of his feet marking his compliance as he turned away, facing his back to you. The rustling of leaves in the nearby trees and the distant murmur of the River filled the silence, creating a cocoon of privacy around the two of you.
The air seemed charged with anticipation, and you could feel the weight of the unspoken connection between you both in that intimate moment.
You reached for your shirt, the damp fabric clinging to your skin and offering a brief challenge as you pulled it over your glistening body. Each movement was a tactile reminder of the refreshing dip you’d taken, your skin alive with the sensations of the River’s cool embrace.
Next, your fingers fumbled for your shorts, a playful dance with the wet fabric that seemed to take a lifetime. As you finally completed your quick change, a surge of excitement bubbled up inside you, making your voice tremble with anticipation.
With a smile that you couldn’t suppress, you called out to Yoongi, “You can turn around now.”
The air seemed charged with a newfound energy, and the world felt alive with the promise of adventure and connection.
“Nice tits.”
Yoongi’s mischievous comment hung in the air, punctuated by a chuckle that echoed with playful admiration.
Heat rushed to your cheeks, turning them beet red as you instinctively glanced down your body, realizing with a sinking feeling that your white shirt had become transparent when it clung to your soaking body.
Panic surged through you.
In a hurry, you covered your breasts with your hands, the wet fabric clinging uncomfortably to your skin. Your heart raced, and your body felt hot, a combination of embarrassment and an unexpected wave of arousal coursing through you.
Why the fuck is he still looking?
You thought with a mixture of irritation and intrigue. His gaze bore into you with a lazy smirk, and your skin prickled with a blend of vulnerability and desire.
“Stop looking,” you hissed, your voice trembling with a mixture of need and frustration. The tension between you was palpable, an unspoken connection simmering beneath the surface as the world around you faded into the background.
In an angry, trembling tone, you hissed at him, “And don’t you dare say a fucking word!”
Your hands remained firmly pressed against your breasts, your skin still tingling from the electric encounter.
With a mix of indignation and vulnerability, you turned on your heel and hurriedly retreated, the path back to the van stretching out before you, each step echoing the tumultuous feelings churning inside.
You retraced your steps in stifling silence, the tension between you and Yoongi lingering in the air like an unspoken secret. Each footfall felt heavy, the weight of your thoughts bearing down on you, and the campsite that had once been a sanctuary of laughter and camaraderie now seemed like a maze of conflicting emotions.
Uncomfortable and flustered, your mind raced with a tempest of questions. He had complimented you, and it sent your thoughts spiraling into a whirlwind of uncertainty.
Had he looked before? Were there hidden desires beneath his playful remark?
The stories your mind conjured were like a tumultuous storm, each thought a lightning bolt of doubt. You had to remind yourself, sternly, that Yoongi was a friend, nothing more. But the realization didn’t dispel the tension that had woven itself between you, leaving you with a sense of unease that clung to your every step.
As you finally reached Holly, a cacophony of laughter greeted you.
Jimin’s infectious laughter rang out like a joyful melody, echoing through the campsite. With an amused glint in his eye, he couldn’t contain his mirth as he pointed at your drenched figure, a teasing grin splitting his face.
Beside him, Jungkook and Taehyung had their faces buried in their phones, their shoulders shaking with suppressed laughter. The campsite had transformed into a stage of amusement, the camaraderie and playful banter among friends radiating with warmth.
Through gritted teeth, you hissed at Jimin, your frustration palpable in your tone.
“Don’t you dare fucking laugh!”
The words carried the weight of your embarrassment and irritation, the intensity of the moment etched on your face as you shot him a withering glare. With a frustrated sigh, you attempted to regain your composure, even as your cheeks burned with lingering embarrassment.
Yoongi eased himself into a vacant chair, its worn surface embracing him with a sigh as he leaned back.
“Why? It’s not even the first time!”
Jimin’s laughter erupted like an uncontrollable storm, his entire body shaking with mirth. The intensity of his amusement grated on your nerves, and you could feel a simmering fury building within you. The sound of his laughter seemed to echo endlessly, reverberating through the campsite and setting your teeth on edge.
It was as if he was oblivious to the storm of emotions swirling within you, and his amusement only added fuel to the fire of your frustration.
Jungkook and Taehyung both lifted their heads from their phones, their curiosity piqued. “What do you mean, ‘not even the first time’?” Jungkook inquired, his eyes gleaming with interest.
Hushing your voice, you groaned loudly, the frustration evident in your tone.
“Don’t tell them!”
The words spilled from your lips with an urgency that bordered on desperation, and you shot Jimin a pleading look, hoping beyond hope that he wouldn’t let the secret slip. The air was thick with anticipation as the weight of your unshared secret hung in the balance.
He continued to laugh, his amusement contagious, and then leaned in closer to Jungkook and Taehyung, his voice lowering with a conspiratorial tone.
“She lost her bra once when we were at a waterpark,” he giggled, the memory vivid and alive in his mind. As he recounted the tale, his eyes sparkled with mischief, and the campsite seemed to hold its collective breath, caught between the urge to burst into laughter and the anticipation of the full story.
Fuck.
Why did he have to tell them?
The question reverberated within you like an unyielding echo. Although he hadn’t shared the whole story, a sense of exasperation washed over you, your frustration simmering beneath the surface.
The campsite felt like a stage, and your emotions played out in silent turmoil as you grappled with the mix of embarrassment and annoyance. The memory had been a skeleton in your closet, and its unveiling, even in part, left you grappling with the desire to laugh it off and the lingering traces of annoyance that clung to you like a shadow.
“It happened when we were on a waterslide, and it just flew off!”
Jimin continued to chuckle, his laughter resonating with your clear discomfort. The memory seemed to amuse him endlessly, and each guffaw only deepened your irritation.
With an exasperated sigh, you dramatically plopped down on a chair next to Yoongi, your grumpiness palpable in the way you crossed your arms and shot Jimin a pointed glare.
The campsite was filled with the lingering echoes of laughter, but your mood remained as stormy as the clouds gathering on the horizon.
Jungkook and Taehyung exchanged knowing glances and erupted into contagious giggles, their eyes brimming with amusement. Their laughter seemed to dance in the air, and as they stole glances at you, their expressions shifted to ones of pity.
“And you did absolutely nothing to help, some friend you are,” you retorted, your words dripping with spite and frustration. The sharpness of your tone cut through the lingering laughter, drawing a hushed silence over the campsite.
The tension between you and Jimin hung in the air like a charged current, a stark reminder of the complexities that defined your friendship.
You made a brisk dash to retrieve fresh, clean clothes, the anticipation of changing into something dry and comfortable fueling your steps.
The restrooms beckoned, promising a refuge from the lingering awkwardness. As you entered the private haven of the restroom, a wave of relief washed over you, and you couldn’t wait to shed the wet attire that clung to your skin.
As you returned, the flickering glow of a campfire had transformed the campsite into a warm and inviting haven. The crackling flames danced in the night, casting playful shadows that danced across your faces.
The aroma of a delicious meal sizzling over the open flames filled the air, tantalizing your senses.
Amidst the camaraderie of your friends, you joined in the culinary adventure, the flavors of the meal mingling with laughter and lively conversation.
The clinking of beer bottles punctuated the night, each sip a toast to the simple joys of friendship and the adventure that lay ahead.
Amid the warm glow of the campfire and the laughter of your friends, you couldn’t help but notice Yoongi’s gaze.
His eyes, like twin embers in the firelight, lingered on your face a fraction longer than usual. It was a subtle shift that sent a ripple of uncertainty through you, leaving you to ponder its meaning in the midst of the lively gathering.
Questions swirled in your mind like sparks in the night.
Was it a moment of connection or something more?
The ambiguity hung in the air, adding an undercurrent of intrigue to the already memorable night.
That night, as the campfire’s last embers flickered out, you found yourself tossing and turning in your duvet, unable to find the solace of sleep. Thoughts of Yoongi swirled through your mind like a restless tempest, his lingering gaze haunting your thoughts.
Beneath the canopy of stars, you were consumed by a whirlwind of emotions.
Excitement for the adventure clashed with the uncertainty of unspoken feelings, and you couldn’t help but wonder if this trip would be the crucible that tested your friendship’s boundaries. In the silent darkness, the future lay uncertain, and the weight of anticipation kept you awake, pondering the enigma that was Yoongi.
The morning sun bathed the campsite in a gentle glow, promising a new day of adventure.
With your river escapade now behind you, you decided to venture into the nearby city with Jimin. The city’s vibrant energy and bustling streets held the promise of a new, exciting experience.
As you entered a quaint boutique, the colorful array of bikinis dazzled your senses. Jimin, with his impeccable taste, became your trusted fashion advisor. Together, you sifted through the options, his playful commentary and infectious laughter adding a layer of camaraderie to the shopping spree.
Jimin’s eyes sparkled mischievously as he picked out a bikini top that he insisted would not only look fantastic on you but also capture the attention of a certain dark haired man named Yoongi.
Jimin’s playful commentary continued as he held up the chosen bikini top, his eyes dancing with mischief.
“This one really accentuates your curves and hugs your... assets,” he said, punctuating his statement with a sly wink. You couldn’t help but roll your eyes at his cheekiness, a mix of exasperation and amusement in your response.
But deep down, his suggestion had struck a chord.
There was a spark of confidence that came with his endorsement, and in the end, you found yourself reaching for the very bikini top he’d recommended. With a grin and a playful nudge, you couldn’t deny the infectious excitement that Jimin had injected into your shopping excursion.
Later in the day, as the sun began its descent, casting a warm, golden hue over the campsite, you and your friends decided to embark on a leisurely fishing expedition by the Riverside. The gentle breeze played with your hair, carrying with it the soothing scent of nature, as you cast your lines into the water.
The atmosphere was serene, punctuated by the occasional plunk of a line hitting the water and the soft rustle of leaves overhead.
The Riverside flowed lazily beside you, a shimmering ribbon of tranquility that mirrored the camaraderie among your group. Light conversation flowed effortlessly between you all, the laughter and shared stories weaving a tapestry of connection that only deepened with each passing moment.
The following days sped by like a whirlwind of adventure and discovery.
You and your friends immersed yourselves in the breathtaking beauty of the local nature, each step a new exploration, each vista a captivating masterpiece of nature’s design.
As you ventured deeper into the wilderness, the serenity of the landscape wrapped around you like a comforting embrace. Majestic mountains loomed in the distance, their peaks kissing the sky. Pristine lakes sparkled like gems under the sun’s tender caress, and the lush forests whispered secrets as you wandered through their verdant embrace.
Tourist attractions revealed the rich tapestry of the region’s culture and history, each site a new chapter in your journey.
During your stay, one day brought the special opportunity to visit Jungkook’s family.
The anticipation of the visit filled the air as you arrived at his childhood home. The comforting aroma of home-cooked meals wafted from the kitchen, welcoming you with open arms. Around a welcoming dinner table, you all shared delightful conversations with Jungkook’s parents and his older brother. Their smiles were as warm as their hospitality, and the stories they shared about Jungkook’s mischievous childhood added a layer of endearment to your friend.
As plates were passed, laughter echoed through the cozy living room, and the bonds of friendship extended to embrace the family who had nurtured Jungkook. It was a moment of shared intimacy, where the past and present converged in a harmonious celebration of friendship and home.
On another beautiful day of your trip, the anticipation of visiting Jimin’s family filled the air with excitement.
You were welcomed into their home with open arms, the comforting scent of a home-cooked dinner beckoning you inside. Seated around a dining table adorned with love and care, you shared heartfelt conversations with Jimin’s parents and his younger brother.
Their warmth and genuine interest in your stories made you feel like an extended member of their family. The dinner was a sumptuous feast of flavors, a culinary journey through Jimin’s heritage. As the evening unfolded, laughter and shared memories wove a tapestry of connection, bridging the gap between your friends and Jimin’s beloved family.
It was a moment of shared intimacy, where the bonds of friendship extended to embrace the people who had shaped Jimin’s life.

Excitement bubbled within you as you made the collective decision to journey onward to the next campsite, nestled near the picturesque Songdo Bay Station and its inviting beach.
The prospect of a fresh landscape and new adventures beckoned like a siren’s call, promising breathtaking vistas and unforgettable moments waiting to be discovered.
As you began setting up Holly once more at the new campsite, an amusing discussion arose. Jimin, with a mischievous twinkle in his eye, announced his intention to sleep in the tent this time. “You snore like a freight train,” he teased, a playful grin dancing on his lips.
Yoongi, ever the easygoing one, didn’t seem to mind, and Taehyung chimed in with his usual enthusiasm.
“I’ll gladly switch with Jimin then,” he declared, a wide smile brightening his face.
With excitement bubbling in your hearts, you made your way to the enchanting Songdo Bay Station, eager to experience the cable cars that awaited you.
As you all huddled into the cable car together, anticipation filled the air. The ascent was a slow and steady journey, carrying you higher and higher above the city and the glistening expanse of the ocean. The view that unfolded before your eyes was nothing short of mesmerizing. The cityscape sprawled beneath you, a tapestry of lights and life, while the vast ocean stretched out to the horizon, its waters shimmering in the golden embrace of the setting sun.
Silence settled over your group, a shared reverence for the breathtaking panorama that surrounded you. The beauty of the moment transcended words, leaving you all in awe of the world’s majesty.
It was a memory etched into your hearts, a reminder of the profound magic that could be found in the simplest of journeys.
Once you’d savored every moment of the mesmerizing view from the cable cars, hunger tugged at your stomachs like a friendly reminder of the day’s adventures. Following a recommendation from a friendly local, you ventured to a cozy, hidden gem of a restaurant nearby.
The restaurant exuded an inviting charm, its wooden beams and rustic decor welcoming you like an old friend. The air was filled with the tantalizing aroma of local flavors and the hum of lively conversations.
As you settled into your seats, the menu promised a tantalizing array of dishes, each one a tantalizing adventure waiting to be explored.
Lunch was a symphony of flavors, a fusion of local delicacies that danced on your taste buds. The laughter and discussions of your group mingled with the ambient sounds of the restaurant, creating a harmonious atmosphere of shared joy. With satisfied appetites and hearts warmed by the culinary delights, you bid farewell to the small local restaurant, the memory of the meal and its unique ambiance etched in your collective memory.
It was yet another chapter in your journey, one filled with the flavors and colors of the region you had come to love.
As you made your way back to the campsite, the sun casting a warm, golden glow over the landscape, the anticipation for tonight’s dinner filled the air with excitement.
You decided to make a quick stop for grocery shopping, the aisles of the local market brimming with fresh ingredients and culinary possibilities. The aisles were a treasure trove of flavors, their shelves stocked with vibrant fruits, crisp vegetables, and the tantalizing aromas of spices and herbs. Your group moved through the market, selecting ingredients that promised to transform into a delicious campfire feast.
Back at the campsite, you all sank into comfortable positions, surrounded by the gentle embrace of nature.
The crackling campfire cast a warm, flickering glow that painted playful shadows on your faces. The tranquil symphony of chirping crickets and rustling leaves provided the soundtrack to your evening.
Yoongi, your group’s resident cook and culinary magician, took center stage. With an air of calm expertise, he orchestrated the preparation of tonight’s dinner. The aroma of sizzling ingredients filled the air, tantalizing your senses and stirring a chorus of eager stomachs.
As you watched Yoongi work his culinary magic, a sense of contentment washed over you all. The shared anticipation for the meal, the warmth of the campfire, and the soothing sounds of nature merged into a harmonious tableau of camaraderie and relaxation.
It was a moment of serenity and connection, a testament to the simple joys of friendship and the pleasures of a well-cooked meal in the great outdoors.
As you savored every bite of Yoongi’s mouthwatering Korean cooking, a tranquil hush settled over your group. The flavors danced on your taste buds, each dish a symphony of tastes and textures that spoke of culinary mastery. Around the campfire, the shared appreciation for the meal transcended words. The satisfying sounds of utensils against plates and the contented sighs of your friends filled the air.
After a satisfying dinner that left everyone in high spirits, you fetched some beers to keep the camaraderie alive. The campfire’s glow seemed to flicker with the promise of a lively evening ahead.
As you settled back into your camping chairs, conversation flowed naturally, anecdotes and laughter intermingling in the night air. The soothing rhythm of your friends’ voices was like a comforting melody, echoing in the quiet wilderness. In a lighthearted moment, Taehyung suggested a game of ’Never Have I Ever’.
Groans of playful protest erupted from most of the group, each member voicing their reluctance except for Jungkook. His eyes sparkled with excitement at the mention of the game, a mischievous grin tugging at his lips.
In the end, you reluctantly gave in to the idea of playing, and it was mostly due to Taehyung’s persistent enthusiasm. He had a knack for getting his way, especially when it came to sparking moments of laughter and adventure within the group.
Taehyung, with a sly twinkle in his eye, kicked off the game, looking around at your group with a mischievous grin.
“Never have I ever… kissed a man,” he declared, his choice of statement drawing an intrigued chorus of ‘oohs’ and laughter.
Jimin couldn’t help but tease, “Gosh, that’s so tame,” earning a playful eyeroll from Taehyung. However, as the game’s first round unfolded, both you and Jimin raised your beers to your lips, a shared acknowledgment of your past adventures.
It was now Jungkook’s turn, and he took a moment to contemplate his statement, a mischievous glint in his eyes. You let out an exaggerated sigh, feeling like you weren’t quite tipsy enough for this game’s antics.
“Never have I ever seen ___’s tits,” Jungkook declared, his statement dripping with a cheeky grin. There was a collective chuckle from the group, and you couldn’t help but roll your eyes, fully aware of how this round would go.
As expected, Jimin, Yoongi, and you raised your beers in acknowledgment. Jungkook’s laughter filled the air, and you couldn’t resist a playful retort.
“It’s not funny!” you quipped, shooting a mock glare in his direction.
Thankfully, it was now Yoongi’s turn, and you couldn’t help but anticipate that his statement would be just as amusing and lighthearted as the others. With a mischievous twinkle in his eye, he posed, “Never have I ever had sex while at work,” looking around the circle expectantly.
As his statement hung in the air, there was a moment of suspense before the inevitable. Jimin, with a sly grin, took a casual sip of his beer, and to your surprise, both Taehyung and Jungkook joined in with a shared laugh and a sip of their beer.
Your surprised sigh was met with laughter from the group, and you couldn’t help but shake your head in playful disbelief.
Now, it was Jimin’s turn, and you couldn’t help but brace yourself for his cheeky statement. “Never have I ever had sexual fantasies about a close friend,” he declared, a mischievous smirk playing on his lips. His playful wink was directed at you, and you responded with an eye roll that was just as playful.
Jimin’s statement hung in the air, thick with tension and teasing, and you couldn’t help but wonder if he was trying to be your wingman in your quest for Yoongi’s affection or simply trying to rile you up for his own amusement.
Everyone in the circle, except Jimin, raised their beers to their lips and took a sip, leaving you utterly flabbergasted.
The implications of this revelation left your mind swirling with a mix of curiosity and uncertainty.
What did it mean?
You couldn’t help but steal a glance at Yoongi, hoping to find some clue in his enigmatic gaze. However, as your eyes met his, you realized that they were as inscrutable as ever. His poker face didn’t give away any secrets, leaving you to wonder whether this was merely a playful game or if there was something more beneath the surface.
It was a moment of both intrigue and hesitation, and you couldn’t help but feel a subtle shift in the dynamics of the group, as unspoken emotions lingered in the air.
Jungkook suddenly perked up, his voice laced with intrigue.
“Jimin hyung, you’re not being honest right now!”
His statement hung in the air, a spark of curiosity lighting up the group’s expressions as you all turned your gaze between Jimin and Jungkook.
The unexpected twist in the game had injected a new layer of intrigue into the evening. The group’s collective curiosity swirled like a secret shared among friends, and you couldn’t help but wonder what lay beneath Jimin’s playfully confident exterior.
You observed Jimin’s eyes roll and heard an exasperated sigh escape his lips. With a sly yet playful glint in his eyes, Jungkook continued, “Remember when you told me about that dream you had, the one about ___?” His tone was teasing but carried a hint of mischief.
As Jungkook’s words hung in the air, a ripple of knowing glances and shared amusement spread through the group. The expressions on everyone’s faces ranged from mild surprise to knowing smirks, each reacting in their unique way to the revelation.
“What? You had a sexual dream about me?”
The words burst from your lips in a gasp of surprise, and without thinking, you playfully slapped Jimin’s shoulder, your eyes wide with mock shock.
Jimin’s laughter rang out, a mixture of embarrassment and amusement. The entire group joined in, the campfire’s glow dancing in their eyes as they shared in the unexpected revelation.
“It was just an innocent dream,” he tried to brush it off, a mischievous twinkle in his eye as he masked it with a low chuckle.
The group’s playful teasing continued, a delightful blend of laughter and camaraderie. Jimin’s attempt to downplay the dream only fueled the banter, making the moment even more lighthearted and memorable.
Then Jungkook chimed in, his voice carrying an air of mischief.
“It wasn’t innocent at all! He told me that he wanted to f–”
Your eyes widened in both surprise and mortification, hanging on the edge of your seat as you awaited the rest of the sentence.
But before Jungkook could spill the rest, Jimin hastily interjected, bringing an abrupt halt to the revelation.
“It was nothing, okay?”
Jimin’s voice carried a note of urgency as he sought to downplay the situation. “It happened in the beginning of our friendship. Soon after, I realized it was just misdirected...uh, you know, sexual frustration. We’re besties, I’m not into you like that, I would never,” His words tumbled out in a rushed, rambling attempt to reassure you.
With a pleading look in your eyes, you turned to Jimin and spoke softly, “It’s okay, Jimin. I might have had a sexual fantasy about you too in the early days.”
The confession slipped out, fueled perhaps by the influence of the beer, leaving you feeling both vulnerable and surprisingly liberated. The group’s reactions were a mix of surprise and amusement, and the campfire’s crackling flames seemed to flicker in response to the newfound tension in the air.
“I know I’m irresistible,” Jimin playfully swooned in response to your secret, earning himself a playful jab in the ribs from you.
Jungkook and Taehyung chuckled, the atmosphere light with shared laughter. However, you couldn’t help but notice that Yoongi’s demeanor had shifted.
His usually expressive eyes had gone dark, and a subtle tension hung in the air around him. It was as if your confession had cast a shadow over his mood, leaving you to wonder about the thoughts swirling in his mind.
As the game continued, you found yourself growing tired of its increasingly revealing nature. With a sigh of exasperation, you announced, “I’m going to bed. You can keep playing if you want.”
Your words carried a hint of weariness as you pushed yourself up from the campfire and headed toward Holly.
The night air was cool against your skin as you retreated inside, leaving the laughter and confessions behind. In the dimly lit interior of the van, you could finally take a moment to reflect on the events of the evening.
Drifting off into slumber, the laughter of your friends provided a comforting lullaby, wrapping you in a cocoon of cherished moments and the warmth of camaraderie.
As the morning sun filtered through the van’s windows, its gentle warmth kissed your face, coaxing you awake from a restful night’s sleep. With a contented sigh, you descended from your sleeping space and stepped outside, greeted by the sight of your friends gathered around.
“Good morning,” you greeted them with a pleasant stretch, the feeling of relaxation coursing through your body. Their collective response of ‘good morning’ warmed your heart, but you couldn’t help but notice the faint blush that tinged both Yoongi and Taehyung’s cheeks.
“What’s wrong?”
You couldn’t help but notice the startled exchange of glances between Yoongi and Taehyung.
Their hesitation hung in the air, sparking your curiosity. Just as Taehyung was about to speak up, Yoongi cut him off with a nonchalant shrug of his shoulders.
“You just snore a lot,” he replied, his tone casual but his gaze stern as he shot Taehyung a pointed look.
The atmosphere shifted subtly, leaving you with the feeling that there was more to their exchange than met the eye.
After enjoying a hearty breakfast together, the group prepared to head down to the beach for a day of relaxation, swimming, and—hopefully, avoiding any repeat incidents involving your bra.
As you all changed into your swimwear, you slipped into the new bikini top that Jimin had recommended. The fabric hugged your curves just right, making you feel both confident and comfortable. You couldn’t help but appreciate how his suggestion had turned out so perfectly.
Amidst laughter and chatter, you made your way down to the beach, burdened with towels, parasols, and an absurd amount of sunblock that could rival a sunscreen store.
You scouted out the perfect spot on the beach, carefully arranging your belongings and setting up sunshades to shield yourselves from the relentless sun. The sound of crashing waves and the scent of salt in the air instantly put you in a relaxed, vacation state of mind.
As you all took turns applying sunblock to one another, Jimin’s suggestion added a touch of intimacy to the moment. He proposed that Yoongi assist you by applying sunblock to your hard-to-reach back.
With a soft smile, Yoongi moved closer, his fingertips tracing delicate patterns as he massaged the sunblock into your skin.
The sensation of his touch sent pleasant shivers and tingles racing down your spine, a subtle yet electrifying connection between friends. His fingers, roughened by years of mechanical work, offered a striking contrast to the tenderness of his touch. Each calloused ridge on his fingertips seemed to carry a story of hard labor and dedication.
It was a subtle reminder of the many facets that made up Yoongi’s character—strong and rugged, yet capable of such gentleness. As his hands worked diligently to apply the sunblock, you found yourself lost in thought, reflecting on the layers of complexity within your friend.
The intimacy of this simple act revealed a deeper connection, an unspoken understanding that transcended words and gestures. It was in these moments that you realized just how much you cherished the bond you shared with Yoongi and your group of friends.
You couldn’t help but bite your lip, a soft moan of unexpected pleasure threatening to escape.
When he finally finished, you managed to find your voice, your words laced with a subtle undercurrent of emotion as you offered a heartfelt thank you.
You settled onto a plush beach towel beneath the cool embrace of a beach umbrella, book in hand. With your stomach against the soft towel and the rhythmic sound of the waves as your soundtrack, you lost yourself in the pages of your chosen book.
As the words on the pages blurred together, a restlessness stirred within you. The call of the ocean grew irresistible. You closed your book and looked over at your friends, a glimmer of excitement in your eyes.
“Anyone up for a refreshing swim?” Your question hung in the air, a tempting invitation to embrace the cool embrace of the sea.
Your friends exchanged glances, their laughter and shared history evident in their silent communication. None of them provided a direct answer to your invitation, and as you turned to walk away, a teasing voice broke the silence.
“I’ll join you,” Yoongi’s casual response was laced with a mischievous undertone.
"Who knows, it might come in handy if you happen to ‘lose’ something again." His words prompted suppressed chuckles from the rest of the group, and you felt a heat rising in your cheeks.
As you and Yoongi ventured deeper into the ocean, the cool embrace of the water enveloped your bodies, creating an immediate sense of exhilaration. The waves danced around you, and the salty breeze carried laughter and shared moments.
With every stroke, the water seemed to wash away the cares of the world, leaving only the thrill of the present moment. Your laughter echoed over the waves as you swam together, the sun glistening off the surface, and for that brief moment, it was just the two of you, lost in the joy of the sea.
You eagerly snatch a ball, its surface cool and slightly gritty against your fingertips, and dive into the inviting embrace of the ocean’s azure expanse. With each leap and twist, the saltwater splashes around you, the ball becoming an extension of your playful dance with the waves.
As you spring up from the water, your breasts jiggle, a consequence of the light support of your bra. A subtle shift in Yoongi’s gaze doesn’t go unnoticed, and you realize his attention has momentarily fixated on your chest.
A subtle blush crept up your cheeks, betraying your surprise and self-awareness, as you sensed his gaze lingering on you with a mix of curiosity and appreciation.
“Hey lovebirds, we are heading back to the campsite, do you wanna come with us?”
Amused by Jimin’s interruption, you turned your attention from Yoongi’s lingering gaze to your friend on the shoreline. His teasing tone and the ‘lovebirds’ comment sent an additional wave of heat rushing to your cheeks, but you welcomed the distraction.
With a playful roll of your eyes, you shouted back, “Sure thing, Jimin! Just give us a minute to dry off.”
Jimin’s laughter carried over the water as you and Yoongi shared a brief, knowing glance before swimming back to join your friends, leaving the unspoken tension behind in the sea.
As you all gathered around the campfire to enjoy dinner, the conversation meandered through various topics, including cherished childhood memories. While engaging in the banter and laughter, your mind couldn’t help but circle back to Yoongi’s lingering gaze earlier in the day.
Was there a hidden depth to his stare? Did he harbor feelings for you as well?
These questions swirled in your thoughts, a tantalizing mystery you were both drawn to and hesitant to unravel. Inwardly, you cautioned against reading too much into it, aware of the fragile balance within your close-knit group of friends.
The fear of altering the dynamics that had bound you all together kept your emotions in check, though your heart couldn’t help but hope for something more.

Over the next few days, you immersed yourselves in the vibrant heartbeat of Busan’s city life.
Each moment was a sensory symphony, from the bustling streets to the enticing aromas that wafted from food stalls and restaurants. You ventured into the colorful markets, where every stall seemed to hold hidden treasures waiting to be discovered.
The city’s culinary delights tantalized your taste buds, from sizzling street food to lavish feasts at quaint eateries tucked away in narrow alleyways. With each bite, you savored not just the flavors but the shared laughter and stories around the table.
Busan, with its unique blend of modernity and tradition, cast a spell on you all. The city’s enchanting sights, the harmonious rhythm of life, and the genuine warmth of its people made these days unforgettable.
Another day of your adventure led you to the mesmerizing Jeoryeong Coastal Walk, a place where the natural world intertwined with the human spirit.
As you embarked on the winding path that hugged the rugged coastline, you were greeted by the panoramic expanse of the sea, its waves crashing rhythmically against the rocks.
The salty breeze kissed your cheeks, carrying with it the invigorating scent of the ocean. Seagulls soared overhead, their cries blending seamlessly with the soothing sound of the waves.
Your footsteps resonated on the wooden boardwalk, a symphony of nature and human exploration. The scenery unfolded in breathtaking beauty, each bend revealing a new masterpiece of cliffs, coves, and pristine beaches.
The connection to the earth and sea was palpable, reminding you of the immense wonder that existed beyond the confines of daily life.
As you ventured along the Coastal Walk, the rhythmic sound of waves crashing against the cliffs accompanied your every step. The path stretched out before you, winding its way along the rugged shoreline.
In the distance, your friends, Jimin, Jungkook, and Taehyung, walked ahead, their laughter carried back to you in the salty breeze.
Walking alongside you was Yoongi, the man whose gaze had lingered on you during your coastal walk.
The camaraderie of your friends was evident as they chatted and shared stories, but the proximity of Yoongi added an extra layer of complexity to your emotions. You stole glances at him, his profile etched against the backdrop of the sea.
The sunlight played on his features, casting a warm glow that seemed to accentuate his allure. There was a shared silence between the two of you, a conversation unspoken yet deeply understood. In that moment, with the beauty of nature surrounding you and the bonds of friendship strengthening, you couldn’t help but wonder about the uncharted territories of the heart.
The tranquil beauty of the coastal walk enveloped you both as you walked in tandem, the distant waves creating a soothing backdrop.
“How do you like the trip so far?” Yoongi’s question cut through the stillness, his gaze fixed on the endless expanse of the sea.
You paused for a moment, taking in the salty breeze and the way the sun danced on the water’s surface. A faint smile played on your lips as you pondered his question, realizing that the journey held a deeper meaning than just the sights and experiences.
“It’s been incredible,” you replied, your voice soft but filled with genuine appreciation.
“I mean, the places we’ve seen, the memories we’re creating... It’s more than I could have ever imagined.”
As you spoke, you couldn’t help but glance sideways at Yoongi, catching the warmth in his eyes. In that fleeting moment, you felt a connection that transcended mere friendship. It was a shared understanding, a sense that this journey had the potential to change everything.
Yoongi’s gaze met yours, and a subtle smile tugged at the corner of his lips.
“Yeah,” he said, his voice carrying a hint of sentiment. “It’s been pretty special.”
“It’s been nice seeing the city,” you began, your voice carrying a sense of nostalgia for the urban adventures you’d shared, “but I really look forward to the more rural camping, like in a forest by a tranquil lake or something. To experience the ultimate relaxation, you know?”
As the words left your lips, you couldn’t contain the excitement in your eyes. The mental image of a secluded forest, the scent of pine trees, and the gentle lapping of water against the shore made your heart race with anticipation.
Yoongi turned to you, his gaze meeting yours. “I can already picture it,” he admitted, his voice laced with a sense of shared anticipation.
“Just the sounds of nature, the crackling of a campfire, and the peace that comes with it. It sounds perfect.”
“Hmm, yeah,” you replied, nodding in agreement as you shared Yoongi’s appreciation for nature’s serenity over the bustling city.
“I also prefer nature over the city. I think next week we’ll head to Hadong. There’s this stunning river surrounded by lush forests and pristine beaches. I’ve heard it’s incredibly beautiful,” Yoongi said, his voice filled with excitement and anticipation.
Yoongi’s comforting smile widened as he looked at you.
“That sounds like the perfect destination,” you remarked, his eyes lighting up with a hint of adventure. “A serene river, the tranquility of the forest, and the endless beaches—what more could we ask for?” His words conveyed the shared excitement and a growing connection between the two of you, making the upcoming journey feel even more promising.
As you walked alongside Yoongi, his profile illuminated by the soft glow of the setting sun, you found your thoughts drifting to uncharted territories.
Have his lips always looked so soft and inviting?
You couldn’t help but wonder, lost in a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions.
The gentle sway of the conversation and the captivating scenery seemed to fade into the background as your mind fixated on this newfound awareness.
“And you’re fine with just the two of us camping together in a few weeks?”
As the two of you continued walking, Yoongi’s question hung in the air, and you couldn’t help but feel your heart race at the thought of the upcoming weeks. His casual inquiry concealed a world of unspoken emotions.
With a subtle smile playing on your lips, you met his gaze, locking eyes for a brief moment before answering, “Yeah, why wouldn’t I be?” you reply, but your voice carries a hint of hesitation that lingers in the air.
The uncertainty in your tone reflects the unspoken feelings you’ve been harboring. You wish you could say more, reveal the truth, but the fear of changing the dynamics of your friendship holds you back.
Yoongi offers a gentle smile, his eyes holding a warmth that sends a shiver down your spine.
“We’re best friends,” you continued, your words tinged with a hint of longing that you couldn’t quite conceal. “I love spending time with you.”

It's been a few days and you're finally settled in at home in your house that you never sold. Your mom has been staying with you, nursing you while you deal with your heartbreak. It's a heartbreak of her own too - even though she only met Chan twice, she loved him. Truly adored him. They called every week and spoke almost as much as you did.
You had only exchanged one message with Chan.
- "I love you, y/n."
- "I'll always love you, Christopher."
- "Come home to me?"
You could picture his pleading eyes...his gentle voice that he always used for you.
You didn't reply.
Now sitting on the couch, your phone forgotten in your room, you cried on your mom's shoulder. There was a knock on the door and your best friend came in with packets of God knows what and a whole lot of love. You had a mutually tearful and bittersweet reunion and then you switched to crying on her shoulder, recounting everything. She held you and soothed you and your mom looked upon her gratefully. They had always been close too. Eventually, you stopped crying and your friend accompanied you to the bathroom where you washed your face and tried to freshen up.
"Hey, I brought your favourite snacks and drinks. That hill we always used to go to as teens...it's still our spot, huh? Let's go. It'll be fun! You need some fresh air, babe."
You agreed reluctantly and kissed your mom goodbye. Getting into the car, your friend put on all your favourite music, which cheered you up just a little. You recounted all the stories from your years together as your drove until you were genuinely laughing. You felt lighter already, and you were grateful for your friend next to you. God, how you missed her. You went on to have what you didn't realise at the time was one of the most healing, memorable times with your best friend whom you adored.
-
When you came back home, there were three things you didn't expect. Your best friend about to throw her shoe; your mom looking guilty but happy; and Chan. In your house. In South Africa. And not in South Korea. But here. In South Africa. Where you live.
If you weren't frozen in place, you would have turned around and walked out - not because you were upset at seeing him, but just because you were so shocked, you didn't know what to do. But instead, that shock kept you rooted in place, staring at him. It's only when your mom shouted your best friend's name, followed by a "NO, DON'T!!" did you realise what was happening. You unfrozen just in time to see your best friend's shoe sail past Chan, who dodged it just in time. She stepped forward ready to do...something, and you held her back.
"Y/b/f/n, it's okay. It's not his fault. It's okay."
You stepped in front of her and then walked slowly towards Chan, as if not believing he's actually there.
"I'm so sorry...I can explain..." says Chan, looking sheepily between you and your best friend.
"You better," she replied. "But I don't want to hear it. Tell y/n."
She turned towards your mother and put her arm around her shoulders, guiding her out of the room doing a subtle, awkward hop without her right shoe. It was now just you and Chan.
"What are you...how are you here? How did you even-...I never told you-" you start.
"Shhh, shhh," Chan cooes, stepping towards you and cradling your head. You don't stop him. "I called your mom...told her I'm booking a ticket to see you and I'm not taking no for an answer. We spoke for a while and then she gave me this address. I had to see you, y/n."
"Why?" you ask, tears pricking the back of your eyes.
"Because I can't live without you. Because I'd rather travel 17 hours to see you be upset with me than live another second without you. I don't care what you say, y/n...whether you believe you "deserve me" or not...I'm here because I love you. I'm in love with you. And yeah, shit hasn't been great between us lately, and we're both at fault for that - but I want to fix it, and I know you do too. You're pushing me away because you think you don't deserve me for whatever reason, but it's not gonna work. I see right through you. I know you love me, whether you want to or not."
"But I don't deserve you, Chris," the tears falling down your cheek as you step back to look at him. "I said some horrible things. You're so good to me...so so good to me. And I was a total bitch. I took my anger and frustration and exhaustion out on you and...and "I'm sorry" will never be enough. You deserve to be treated completely opposite to how I treated you...it wasn't fair on you. It'll never be okay."
"So you'd treat me like that again?" he asks.
"What? No! Never again! I'll never make that mistake again," you say earnestly.
"Exactly my point. You know you made a mistake and you don't plan on repeating it. And so did I. Fuck, y/n. I wasn't any better myself. We were both toxic in that moment...but we can be better. Together. I'm willing to try if you are...and there's no one else I'd rather try with. This is our first big fight...and hopefully our last if we can help it. In a way, it's good, because now we know what boundaries we need and where we went wrong. We can heal together. That's what relationships are for, right? We might make mistakes but as long as they're not detrimental to us and we can learn and grow together, then we should. You feel like a monster rn...I know because so do I. But...but we don't have to stay monsters. We can heal. Together. If you'll have me..."
He steps towards you, as if in invitation, and you can't help it any longer. Chan's words shift something in you. You knew you could never live without him either, no matter how hard you'd try. You know that you never wanted to leave him in the first place. And you know that, if he's willing to give you a chance after all that, you're willing to make it up to him - to treat him better than you ever had before and to become someone who does deserve him, who is worthy of him, because you refuse to see him with anyone that isn't you. You refuse to let this beautiful, perfect man go. You crash into him and hold him against you, not planning to let go. This is where you belong. Whether on one continent or another, you belong with Chan. And he belongs with you. He lifts you up and holds you against him, your legs wrapped against his waist and your head on his shoulder, tears soaking his shirt. You feel his own tears fall onto you, and the two of you stay holding each other.
"I'm sorry for snapping at you," you say softly. "And for raising my voice at you like that...I promise to never do it again. Not if it's in anger. I'll speak to you with respect, no matter what. Because I respect you, Chan. And I'm sorry for not acting like it before."
He smiles against you. "I'm sorry for raising my voice at you too, y/n. And for swearing at you. I promise to never shout at you and swear at you in anger ever again, no matter how mad I get. Okay, sweetheart? I'm sorry."
You squeeze him for a second. "I forgive you. I'm sorry too. So so sorry, Chris."
"I forgive you, baby."
You chuckle then. "Boundaries, right?"
He laughs into your shoulder. "See? We're doing a good job already."
From the other side of the door, you hear a pair of sniffs. Rolling your eyes as Chan laughs and puts you down, you call out, "You can come in now!"
Your mom and best friend stumble in, not bothering to hide their tears.
"So much for privacy huh?" you giggle.
"We weren't eavesdropping at first, but..." your best friend starts.
"-it's not our fault you two speak so loud!" your mother finishes. "Come here, my son!" she calls out to Chan before swallowing him in her embrace.
Your best friend pulls you into an embrace of her own and then wipes your cheeks as you do the same for her. She sighs. "Guess I have to apologise now." You can't help but bark out a laugh.
She turns to Chan. "Chan...I'm sorry for throwing my shoe at you. I was just really mad that you hurt my best friend. I'm also sorry it missed...I think it would have made a funny story if you did get hit by it- Ow!" she yelps as you elbow her playfully. She sighs again. "No but really, I am sorry. I threw it without even thinking about how you travelled all the way here just for her...I just saw you and got mad. I'm sorry. I hope we can start off on a better note from now?"
Chan can't help but laugh before he pulls your best friend into a hug. "It's okay. I'm glad my girl has someone like you looking out for her, throwing shoes and all. And I deserved it, to be honest. I'm also sorry it missed."
"Chan!" you shout. "I mean...Chan!" you whisper-shout. "Don't say that."
He laughs at your poor yet playful attempt to conform to the new boundary, and walks to pick up your friend's shoe for her. "Here. Allow me."
He slips it onto her foot and she looks at you, fighting a grin. "Maybe he is a keeper..."
You all laugh, and your mother holds Chan once more, making your heart swell at your little family.
-
That evening, you all dined together and then hugged your mom and your best friend goodbye. You turned to look at Chan then...really look at him. You held his waist as you admired his strong nose ridge, his full lips and his tired eyes, the puffiness of it from all the crying you both did. But standing here in your kitchen, in your house here in your home country, he looked as handsome as ever. Had he gotten even more handsome? You couldn't tell. Chan's ears were turning red now.
"What?"
"Nothing," you giggled. "May I kiss you?"
It was Chan's turn to giggle.
"You may, my lady."
You pressed your lips against his, and he returned the favour. You savoured the feeling of his soft, plump, lips moving smoothly against yours. You couldn't help it. You let out a soft moan, making Chan smile against you.
"God, I missed this," he whispers. "I missed you. So much. I missed making you moan like this."
"Mhm? Like what, Chan?"
"Like this, baby."
He kissed you again, more deliberately this time. His lips moved in time with yours, and he sucked your bottom lip for a second, asking for entry. You submitted. He slipped the tip of his tongue in your mouth, stealing a quick taste. At the feel of your tongue against his, he pulled you stark against him, and then manoeuvred his tongue in deeper, fully tasting you now. His tongue moved softly, deftly, agonisingly against yours. He twisted it around your own, and you followed him before he moved to suck on your lip, biting it softly, making you moan that sweet moan that he loves so much. Reluctantly, he broke the kiss.
"Mmmm, like that," he said, his voice softer and thicker now.
You gazed at him for a long second and the ran your hands through his messy curls, down his face to his neck. You leaned against him as you tip toed to press soft kisses to his neck, letting them become progressively sloppier as you went down. You fumbled with the edge of his shirt, and he pulled it off within seconds. You continued kissing and sucking and licking a trail until you were on your knees before him. Your fingers went to the drawstrings of his sweatpants and undid them, but before you pulled his pants down, you looked up at him.
"Can I make it up to you, baby? Or at least start? Promise I'll make you feel good. Promise I'll show you how sorry I am..."
"Fuck," he breathed out. He gathered your hair in a messy pony tail and then said, "Yes, princess."
You pulled his sweats and his boxers down then and watched as his painfully hard cock sprung free. You kitten licked his pre cum once as he threw his head back, shutting his eyes. You kissed his red, swollen tip then and looked at him, his eyes still squeezed shut. Kissing down his long, thick length, you gently grabbed his balls and began massaging them.
"Y/n, please," Chan moaned.
You licked from the bottom of his cock to the tip, where more pre cum pooled. "I know, Channie, I know." You took him as far as you could into your throat then and stayed there for a few seconds, gagging. Chris moaned and you started moving then, bobbing your head up and down and pumping your fist over what your mouth couldn't reach. You found your rhythm and started moving in a way that made Chan grip the counter behind him, moaning your name.
"That's it, baby girl. Just like that. Ahhh- fuck...I'm...I'm not gonna last long-"
You pulled back and continued pumping his length with your hands. "You wanna cum in my mouth, Channie?" You licked his tip again, tongue tracing his slit. He shivered and cursed.
"Fuck, please y/n. Please, baby."
You buried his cock in your throat again then, sucking him and coating the throbbing cock in your spit. Chan couldn't hold it back anymore. He pushed your head gently as far against his pelvis as you could manage and came, spilling himself down your throat. You swallowed every bit of it and licked your lips, breathing in his delicious musk. Chan slumped against the counter after helping you to your feet.
"That was...that was...shit. It was amazing, baby. You're amazing," he panted out.
You leaned in to kiss him, and he groaned as he tasted himself on your tongue. Once he recovered, he stepped towards you and pulled off your own top, pleased to see no bra. He tugged on one nipple with his teeth before licking it and blowing on it. You moaned his name, and begged him to kiss you. He obliged as his hands moved to your waistband, taking your own pants off. Leaving you in only your panties, Chan picked you up and lifted you over his shoulder, causing you to squeal. He slapped your ass, grinning, and then walked into your bedroom, dropping you excitedly on the bed, hard again at the thought of all he's going to do to you tonight.

BEAUTY
— harry & nadine’s meet-cute — it’s kinda all over the place but whatever 🕊️
Tumblr media
——
SIX YEARS AGO
Grey skies loomed over Loire Valley with the promise of an April rainstorm. The slow-moving river snaked through the scenic countryside and stretched beyond what the human eye could see. Trees rustled in a favorable breeze, stirring up aromas from nearby fruit orchids. Firecrests and turtle doves chirped in the distance, signaling the start of spring.
Nadine savored it all while crossing the bridge on her Beaumont bicycle. In the front wicker basket was her canvas tote bag containing her Kodak camera protectively wrapped in a pillowcase, a serving of fresh tapioca pudding she had impulsively purchased from the local farmer's market, and an unknown flower she had found under the oak tree in her backyard. Her yellow rain poncho crinkled as she pedaled vigorously to get to her destination before the clouds burst. The scrape on her knee she had gotten from falling off her bike in the gravel driveway dully ached. Maybe the rain would wash away the dried blood.
The Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire opened its annual International Garden Festival that morning, which Nadine wouldn't have missed for the world. It resurfaced fond childhood memories of strolling through the enriching gardens with her family and getting lost in the creative landscapes showcased by landscapers, architects, and photographers far and wide.
Nadine planned to take modeling photos to build her portfolio. As a curvy girl with distinct ethnic features, getting her foot in the door had been challenging, but the alluring backdrop of the gardens would make her stand out. The theme was Gardens of Sensations.
In the past, it had been no easy feat to try to photograph herself with her less-than-adequate camera and awkward self-direction. However, she prepared to make these sacrifices for a prosperous career. Loire Valley only had one modeling agency, which meant she had to start somewhere small and cheap before traveling north to Paris for more lavish opportunities.
To earn a living, Nadine provided housekeeping services for surrounding chateaus. The work was rewarding, but it did not spark any passion for her. As a young girl, she had been fascinated by the aesthetic of posing in different environments and making fashion statements after seeing magazine spreads of French models strutting down the catwalk. But she had never been able to imagine herself in their shoes—literally and figuratively. Those six-inch heels seemed killer. With her thick eyebrows, pesky cellulite, and blemished skin, she had been the complete opposite of what model scouts sought.
Once Nadine became wiser over the years, she knew her worth. Her natural beauty just needed to be highlighted by the right scenery and clothing.
When she arrived at the festival, she locked her bike on a rack and slung her tote bag over her shoulder. The historical Chateau-de-Chaumont on the sprawling lawn caused her to stop and stare for a moment. It was grand and beautiful, just as she remembered. Her newfangled perspective left her wondering what inspiration she would discover.
After buying an admission ticket, she walked under the arch of the chateau to reach the garden path weaving through twenty-one hectares of artistic garden exhibits. Each display differed depending on where the landscaper originally hailed from, like Japan, Korea, Great Britain, and many other countries. Among the trees was a greenhouse kitchen where vegetables were grown and offered to visitors. Nadine remembered eating juicy little tomatoes there as a teenager—they were called 'the nipples of Venus.' The memory made her smile faintly.
She glanced around for a pretty scene to photograph herself in just as the rain began to sprinkle. Shivering, she pulled the hood of her poncho over her head. Maybe today wasn’t the best day to embark on a modeling adventure. Maybe she should have turned around and gone home.
But further in the gardens, Nadine stumbled upon a peculiar situation. An exhibition was still being set up, nestled in an opening surrounded by greenery like a secret oasis. Landscapers worked diligently to put the finishing touches on it. They removed leaves and branches from the water with pool skimmers. Their work had been delayed by the unpredictable climate in central France. It was a blessing the rain did not fall much through the canopy of trees above.
There was a rectangular vat of water with a wooden path winding through it, similar to a Candyland board. Red bamboo canes stood tall around it, hugging it with vibrant color. There was something simple yet entrancing about it, and she was drawn to the energy of tranquility that called to her.
Nadine slowly approached, trying to act invisible so as not to disturb them. She would wait until they were done before taking photos. Perhaps sitting on the path and posing near the bamboo would be adequate. Yes, that would be a fantastic shot. Unique, too, which was what she was striving for.
Her childlike wonder pushed her closer until her attention snagged on something else. Something a little more... intriguing.
A man stood waist-deep in the water, rearranging bamboo with sedulous care, his bare back turned to her. He had the most muscular, contoured back Nadine had ever seen in her life. It was sculpted in a way that captured her gaze, but she should not have been surprised. He was some sort of landscaper, which was a labor-intensive job. His tendons were surely robust. Sacré bleu, why was she thinking about his tendons?
She snapped out of her man-induced hypnosis. She had a job to get done. Her future was at stake! With that thought, she unwrapped her camera from its cocoon just as a couple of landscapers brushed past her with plastic buckets, paying no mind to her lingering presence. She must have looked like a mere tourist.
Nadine delicately cleared her throat in an attempt to catch the attention of the man with the beautiful back. He was the only one still tending to the exhibit and did not seem to hear her.
"Excusez-moi?" she said, removing her hood to appear more approachable.
The man's large hands, which were also gorgeously sculpted, halted around the lithe bamboo sticks. His face turned before his body did and— goodness gracious. Oh wow. He was pleasing. To look at, she meant. His foreign face was a masterpiece of symmetry. While he did not look French, remnants of European features still adorned his face. A well-chiseled bone structure and an elegant straight nose. Pink lips that were parted. A firm chest with a ridged midsection. Disheveled, rain-soaked hair. A pair of soulful green eyes stared intently at her.
"Bonjour," he replied, sounding perplexed.
Nadine's gaze desperately wanted to wander south again, but she remained strong. "Is this exhibit open to visitors?" she asked.
He regarded her for longer than normal—not scrutinizingly, but rather in a mystified manner. "Yes. My apologies, I was just perfecting a few details."
"I did not mean to intrude. I—" She paused and searched for the proper words. "Well, I was hoping to take pictures for my portfolio here."
"Your portfolio?" he echoed.
Nodding, Nadine nervously tucked her damp hair behind her ears. "For modeling. I am broadening my use of compelling backdrops, and this festival has plenty of them." She waved a hand, the flourishing nature around them not needing further explanation. "Anyway, this particular exhibit caught my eye. Would it be possible for me to take some pictures?"
The man glanced behind her, his brows furrowing. "Where is your photographer?"
"I... do not have one," she said shyly. "I place my camera on a flat surface and set the timer."
It was far too expensive to hire an entire crew for a photoshoot. She would have rather saved money by gaining hands-free experience herself. Besides, people in the modeling industry admired humble beginnings. She was building herself from the ground up.
"Would you like some assistance?" he asked, raindrops gently falling from his chin. Nadine detected a lilted British accent.
"Oh, I do not want to be a nuisance," she said. "I’m sure you are busy."
He walked to the edge closest to her and shook his head, a handsome smile pulling at his lips. "No, not anymore."
Thrilled, Nadine's heartbeat pounded like a stampede of animals. "All right, then."
It was an unexpected turn of events. As far as she was concerned, she had not expected to meet someone as generous as this man. She hadn't expected much of anything out of today since the weather put a damper on her mood, and her dreams often felt unobtainable.
"What's your name?"
Handing over her camera, she answered, "Nadine."
"I'm Harry," he said. "I'm a landscape architect, which might not help your situation, but I did get a passing grade in a college-level photography class. Is that good enough?"
"I don't know," she countered playfully. "I might interpret a passing grade differently from you."
He laughed, his nose scrunching. "B-minus."
She pretended to mull it over before saying, "I will accept that."
"Merci." He sat on the wooden path. "So, do you have any specific ideas in mind for the photoshoot?"
"I know I want to be a part of nature. Close-up shots are preferred. And..." Nadine looked at the exhibit, pondering. "Am I allowed to go in the water?"
"I don't see why not."
"Will I get into trouble? I couldn't stand being banned from this place."
While fidgeting with her camera, Harry said, "This is my exhibit."
This had been designed by him? It was highly impressive, and it made her feel better knowing a person with a meticulous brain and a keen eye for design was helping her. It was also attractive knowing he had constructed it with his bare hands. Did his fingers have calluses? Were there blood, sweat, and tears involved? No, do not think about him sweating!
"You're letting a stranger interfere with your creation?" she asked, willing away the heat rushing up her neck.
As Harry raised the camera to his eye and pointed it at random things, seemingly testing its functionality, he murmured, "You would be adding beauty to it."
In the middle of removing her sandals and poncho, Nadine’s breath hitched. It was quite bold of him to make such a statement. She had to tread carefully around this male enigma. She was there for business and business only.
"Hop in," Harry said. "The water is heated."
She felt vulnerable in her white camisole and brown corduroy maxi skirt. Her curves were accentuated by the spring breeze blowing the fabric. Her feet sank into the dirt. To remain true to the theme of nature and its rawness, she had opted not to wear any makeup.
Shimmying down her skirt and letting it pool on the ground, she revealed her beige underwear. Without saying a word, the mood turned intimate.
While she dipped one leg into the water, Harry's gentlemanly gaze remained fixed on her face. He was right—it was a glorious temperature, like sinking into a lukewarm bath after a long day. She was submerged up to her rib cage.
"Are you new to Loire Valley?" Nadine asked, curious about how this beautiful man showed up in her hometown.
"I live in England. I was invited to this festival to create a United Kingdom exhibit."
"Ah, oui. It must be such an honor. Do you like it here so far?"
Harry nodded. "It's gorgeous. The architecture is brilliant."
"I hope the sheer amount of chateaus we have is not overwhelming,” Nadine said, slicking her hair back with wet palms.
He chuckled and stood up. "Shall we get started?"
Nadine leaned against the edge of the vat, swaying trees and clusters of red bamboo behind her. She settled her expression into her "model face", which was basically just her looking slightly pissed off at something but in a sexy way. With her chin tilted up, she showed off her sharp jaw and neck muscles.
Harry knelt on the wood and held the camera steadily. Leaning forward, he zoomed in at a low angle. There was a look of concentration on his face, and she felt elated that he was so serious about assisting her.
The shutter clicked a few times. By moving her face just a smidge, she subtly posed. It all was natural to her once she was in the moment—it was like breathing. She loved immersing herself in working the camera to her advantage. She made it her best friend.
"Regardez-moi," Harry murmured, sending a delightful shiver down Nadine’s spine. She looked at him with her lips pursed attractively, and he snapped more photos. "Parfaite."
"You speak very good French."
Still adorably focused on his task, he hummed. "I studied architecture at Versailles and took French classes. It's a romantic language."
"I agree." She switched her pose by spreading her arms in the water and trying to smize, as invented by Tyra Banks.
To get the best angles, Harry contorted his body in semi-ridiculous ways. He then got in the water and stood near her. Nadine’s heart rate spiked. He was even more ethereal up close. There was a gentleness to his presence, and she was undeniably attracted to it.
"What do you call an angry French aunt?" Harry asked, setting up a joke.
"Oh, boy. What?"
"A crossaunt."
Nadine let an endeared giggle escape. Slowly lowering the camera, Harry stared at her in awe. His smile was stuck in place as if making her laugh stopped time.
"Fossetes," he whispered. Dimples.
A powerful blush expanded across her face and spread to her chest. Suddenly, her smile turned shy. She had never experienced such attention from a man before. The feeling was both daunting and exhilarating.
Water sluiced down Nadine's body when she stood at her full height. "Thank you for doing this," she said, her voice weak.
"It was my pleasure,” Harry replied. “You made my job easy."
She was going to burst into flames if she kept blushing. "Can I repay the favor in any way?"
His lips quirked to the side as he hummed thoughtfully. "What are your plans for next weekend?" he asked.
"I will most likely be back here again."
"As will I."
"So...” Nadine chewed on the inside of her cheek. “I will see you then?"
"Absolutely." He cleared his throat and held her gaze. "I was wondering if you would fancy doing something with me afterward. We could visit all the farmer's markets. Perhaps stroll along the river at sunset. You could show me your favorite spots and tell me why you love them."
Nadine inhaled a little gasp. If he wanted to spend an evening together, he had surely felt the connection too. It was palpable, hanging thickly in the air like a storm cloud. She could feel the electrical charge with just a single glance. It was definitely worth exploring.
"Unless you're taken,” Harry added uncertainly, combing a hand through his hair. "Sorry, I should have asked first. I just find you so pretty, and you have a lovely laugh." He paused briefly, glimpsing at her lips. "I'd love to hear more of it."
She walked toward him with her pulse going haywire. Her hands cradled his face, and she softly kissed his clean-shaven cheek. "I’m available."
"Oui?"
"Oui."
Harry's eyes crinkled when he smiled. "Splendid. I'm looking forward to it, dove."
Flutters of glee took flight in Nadine's stomach. She had been yearning for a serendipitous moment for ages. The prospect of being wanted always felt unreachable to her. No boys had ever decided she was worth a chance. Now, there was a glimmer of hope.
When Nadine arrived home later that evening, she perused through the pictures on her camera—there were at least fifty. Each one captured her in a certain light that had been unknown to her. Through the eyes of someone else, she found herself feeling desirable.
All thanks to the man with the beautiful back.

chan and rori
location: budapest
"I've always wanted to travel," Rori grinned, feeling peaceful as she gazed across the city, night lights twinkling and night life buzzing.
"You've not been around Europe before? I thought most brits would end up going around Europe because it's so convenient," Chan hummed in thought, his head resting on her shoulder as he hugged her from behind, arms wrapped around Rori's waist.
The two of them had grown close very quickly, already having taken things to the next level. Rori trusted him, and him, her.
"Well, South Korea was a chance I took and I love it. But when I had Oliver, it kind of threw a spanner in the works, so I didn't get the chance to," Rori stroked Chan's hands that involuntarily hugged her tighter as he laughed.
"A good spanner though!" Chan giggled, making the silly comment as he remembered the cute kid that had definitely surprised him on his wedding day, but made him that more excited for their new adventure together.
The day had ended perfectly, after going around and seeing the sights, Hero's Square and Fisherman's Bastion, and now taking in the beautiful city. Of course, there were drunk people in their twenties stumbling down the street together, shouting the words to a song Rori was sure she would have recognised if it had been sung soberly. A piece of her wished maybe she could have had more time in those years, to be recklessx to have fun. She was worried she'd never have that feeling again. But Chan have that to her, he made her feel alive.
"I can't believe how lucky I've gotten, Chan is just so... he gives me butterflies. I can't remember the last time I felt that way," Rori tucked some of her ginger hair behind her ear.

jeongin and dallas
location: mt. fuji
Jeongin and Dallas had finally made it to Mountain Fuji, sharing stories to each other about things they had achieved in their lives and what they wanted to do in the future. Sweetly they had held each other's hands the whole journey there, that small sense of affection and comfort whilst getting to know each other bringing them closer together already. And even as they exited the car together, they never let go of each other, until Dallas was so excited at the gorgeous colours of the flower festival in the clearing of the mountain.
"Ahhh! It's gorgeous! Wow, I just wish we had this back home! This is stunning I can't cope!" Dallas squealed, leaning over the fence and trying to comprehend all the glorious hues of purple, lavender, lilac and magenta intertwining into something she thought she could only dream of.
"You're really excited aren't you?" Jeongin laughed fondly, his wife, yes, he couldn't believe it, his wife, making him happy, her excitement spreading so easily.
"Duh! This is likely my dream, my life," Dallas grinned in astonishment, dropping his hand to run forwards along other paths to take in the sights even more.
They had a great day, and of course got some cute photos with each other, marking the day an amazing one. It was certainly one of the best days of Dallas' life, and Jeongin enjoyed himself too, content in wandering around and taking in nature. Amongst the other things they had done during their honeymoon, this certainly topped it, so it was a shame the day came to a close with a slightly bitter feeling.
"You're so cute, Dallas," Jeongin chuckled from his spot in bed, stretched with his arm around her, cosily nestled in his arms.
"Me? Nah... I think you were the one who's head was in the clouds, wearing that grin all day. That smile will be the death of me, Yang Jeongin," Dallas exclaimed, hand lightly smacking his stomach to emphasise her point.
"If my head was in the clouds then yours was all over the place, haha, you were like an excited child, you remind of the kids I teach," Jeongin chuckled once more, hand going to stroke her hair out of her face but Dallas had already sat up.
"I'm going to make us some tea," Dallas kept a smile on her face and went into the kitchen, Jeongin being none the wiser about how his words had affected her.
"I don't get why he had to say that last bit... like I get it, I can be quite energetic, like I give a lot of energy into the things I love. But I've been told before that I remind people of a child and it feels sort of... patronising? I don't know... it just felt- it didn't feel nice. He's my husband, I shouldn't feel this way..." Dallas rambled as she explained to the camera away from Jeongin, reflecting on the day they had had.
Hopefully they'd be able to squash this in the future.

jisung and valentina
location: new york
"We had such a good day yesterday and now he's all closed off, he won't come out of bed. I thought we'd be doing more with our honeymoon, but, I guess not?" Valentina sighed as she spoke to the camera.
Jisung felt overwhelmed to say the least. He was tired from the flight to New York, but tried his best to keep his energy up during their first day going sightseeing. And everything seemed fine to Valentina. Oh, Valentina. Jisung really was trying his best, he suddenly felt this big responsibility. He had never been in a relationship before, and now he was someone's husband. He had a wife. He knew what he was getting into but he still likes having time to himself, and that was why he was relaxing in bed, scrolling through his phone, having down time like he normally would. But Valentina was there, trying to encourage him to go somewhere with her and do something.
"Ji, you wanna go out for dinner at least?" Valentina sighed, leaning against the kitchen counter in their hotel suite.
"I feel bad. I feel like I'm letting her down already. She's so amazing and, I feel worried that I'm not going to be the man she really needs," Jisung stammered, having his own moment to talk on his own.
But, he took a step and agreed in having dinner. They went to a luxurious restaurant, a top rated one that served mouthwatering gourmet burgers.
"Now this, I can get into this," Valentina let out a breath in delight. Not only was the burger looking delicious, but it gave a break from the sudden awkward small talk that her and Jisung had been contending with.
"I'm sorry," Jisung suddenly said, after swallowing down a mouthful of his burger. Miraculously, they had ordered the same thing, having similar tastes in their preferred cuisine and flavours.
"Hmm?" Valentina delicately wiped her mouth before speaking, "what for?" She had an inkling, but she wanted to hear from him first.
"I know you wanted more, I just, I'm quite a homebody? And I'm really trying to get used to this lifestyle, this..."
"Married life?"
"Not even that, just being able to spend time with someone constantly," Jisung glanced away, taking a sip of his cocktail.
"I'll be real with you, I was sort of upset at first, but I didn't know that about you yet. I didn't know you needed that space to yourself so, it's ok. We'll work through it together, ok?" Valentina reassured him once again, pushing away the thoughts she had before, and putting herself in his shoes.
She was a party animal at heart. She just had to bring out that more confident and energetic side to her husband, and she was willing to do that.

"This all feels like a dream," Sienna marveled at the sights of Rome, swinging her arm with Hyunjin's as they wandered around the city.
"It's not a dream, baby, it's real," Hyunjin earnestly reminded her, pulling her in a different direction as they wandered around some markets, looking for a bite to eat.
"I never thought I'd get to live this," Sienna added on, still in denial.
"Well stop thinking that, ok? Seriously, I'm going to make sure you're happy every day," Hyunjin stopped in his tracks, gazing into her eyes before kissing her on the forehead.
Soon they found somewhere to eat, a quiet restaurant being decided when they couldn't pick from the market.
"Let's get spaghetti and meatballs," Hyunjin smirked, kicking Sienna's foot lightly underneath the table.
"Why so sly about food?" Sienna rose an eyebrow, her accent coming through stronger as she stared at her husband in confusion.
"No reason, just taking inspiration from a certain film..." Hyunjin nodded smugly to himself as he ordered them their food.
And once it arrived, it all clicked.
"Why only one plate... Hyunjin..." Sienna facepalmed, Hyunjin instantly bursting into giggles.
"Have you realised, baby?" Hyunjin cooed as he leant forward.
"We are not lady and the tramping this lunch," Sienna folded her arms, but she too started laughing as she couldn't resist his loving expression.
They exited the restaurant, a blush on Sienna's face after Hyunjin whispered something in her ear.
"He's so romantic. And I'm not used to that. I love it. Just maybe not the sharing food part. I need my own food," Sienna deadpanned into the camera, before huffing out a laugh.

A Time Called You: A Great Reminder to Go Watch Someday or One Day
Tumblr media
This past weekend Netflix dropped a new kdrama called A Time Called You in its entirety, and I became particularly interested in watching it as soon as I realized what it was: the Korean remake of Someday or One Day I knew had been in the works for awhile. If you’re not familiar, Someday or One Day (SOOD) is a beloved 2019 Taiwanese drama that is widely considered to be among the best dramas the country has ever produced (there is also a 2022 film version of the story, but that’s less relevant to this post). Now, I love Korean dramas, and I know that countries remaking each other’s best shit is very common in the Asian media landscape, but I couldn’t help but feel protective of the original work and a bit resentful of the choice to adapt something that was so original and unique and specific and put that generic kdrama sheen on it. Taiwan has a small film industry, and this is one of its jewels. We didn’t need Korea’s take on it.
And having watched the adaptation in full now, I am feeling pretty justified in that initial feeling. Let me just say upfront: A Time Called You (ATCY) is a perfectly good drama with a solid cast and competent storytelling. Had I seen it absent the knowledge of what it was adapting, I probably would have liked it a lot. But I have already seen and loved Someday or One Day, so I feel compelled to break down why it is the better version of this tale, both for my fellow SOOD devotees who are wondering how this adaptation stacks up and for folks who have only seen the kdrama in the hopes that you’ll decide to watch the original. As usual, I did the most, so reader be advised that this is long (tagging @troubled-mind as promised and @smittenskitten because I saw you were looking for a comparison of the two dramas). TL; DR: if you liked ATCY, or have seen neither version and are wondering which to watch: go find Someday or One Day, because it’s an overall superior and more satisfying execution of the same story.
The Vibe
Tumblr media
Let’s start here because it’s the most obvious and immediately striking thing as someone who has seen both versions. SOOD has a bit of a rough and unpolished feel, which makes it feel more grounded in reality (important when you are getting into fantasy elements like time travel but you still want the characters to feel like real people). We open our story in 1998 in a record shop with a young girl playing Last Dance by Wu Bai and China Blue, a 1996 mando pop rock ballad, and thus setting the tone—this will be a somewhat raw and bittersweet story about grief and hurt and longing that will invite us to wallow in our feelings. And that melancholic vibe stays throughout the drama, even in the explicitly happy scenes, because you are always aware that the joy you are seeing has already been lost.
By contrast, ATCY feels… emotionally flat. Don’t get me wrong, it is a very faithful adaptation. The early episodes are practically a shot for shot remake of the original drama. But it’s too polished, too shiny. The filmmaking is bog standard kdrama fare; everything is soft focus and warmly lit and too beautiful and consequently nothing feels real. It feels right in line with the standard aesthetics of recent mainstream Korean dramas, and that choice undermines the emotional weight and grit of this story.
Tumblr media
A great example of this can be seen in the way the two dramas handle the iconic scene where our female lead runs in the rain, looking back over her shoulder to smile in delight at the male lead before continuing on her way. This is a moment of realization for him about his feelings for her—one he will later immortalize in a painting that becomes part of the mystery of the past she is trying to unravel. In Someday or One Day, this scene takes place on a regular street, in the utterly mundane surroundings of their everyday lives as they walk home, and she runs down the middle of the road as puddles gather in the uneven pavement; in A Time Called Love, they are in a picturesque park for this scene, surrounded by green and encased within a grove of giant trees, and she runs right down the middle of a tree lane that looks like it came straight out of a fairytale. One story is very much about a love grounded in a reality we can recognize; the other is pure fantasy romance.
The Music
I already mentioned the song that anchors the Taiwanese drama above. Last Dance is hugely important to the story, both thematically and as a plot device, and in its ability to set the mood and tone of the drama.
youtube
The Korean remake similarly uses a real 1996 ballad as its main song and time travel mechanism: With My Tears by Seo Ji Won. And, uh, the vibe is a bit different.
youtube
Discerning listeners might recognize this as one of the many classic love ballads performed by our favorite doctors by day, rock stars by night over on Hospital Playlist. It’s a perfectly fine song. But it sets quite a different tone for our story, doesn’t it? It also is meant to be a song that a teenage boy is hankering to listen to on cassette, and listen, I wasn’t living in Korea in 1996. I have no idea how culturally accurate that may be. I’m sure there were in fact baby Lee Ik Juns running around trying to get their hands on this cheesy love song. But the edgier sound of Last Dance definitely sounds more in line with something the teenage male lead would listen to and what the music is meant to convey. And frankly, since we hear this song about 30 times in the drama, it matters that Last Dance is just an objectively better song.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg, because beyond the classic song each version chose to use as its centerpiece, there is also a stark difference in the quality and tone of each drama’s OSTs. Here is a compilation of the Someday or One Day tracks, including the utterly gorgeous main theme by Shi Shi. The music is hugely important in the Taiwanese drama and is used to set the mood as well as emphasize its themes, and the tracks feel specific to this story.
youtube
And here is a compilation of A Time Called You OSTs.
youtube
If you’re familiar with kdrama OSTs, you will recognize most of the artists on here, as well as some new covers of old songs. And again, the vibes are quite different. Whereas SOOD was very intentional and specific in its music choices, ATCY just sounds like every other kdrama. There is nothing on this tracklist that stands out or evokes the kind of feeling that the SOOD tracks do.
The Main Couple
Tumblr media
The name and timeline situation in this show makes this section unnecessarily difficult, so let me just make a little reference sheet here:
Someday or One Day
Alice Ke plays Yu Xuan (2019) and Yun Ru (1998)
Greg Hsu plays Quan Sheng (2019) and Zi Wei (1998)
A Time Called You
Jeon Yeo Been plays Jun Hee (2023) and Min Yu (1998)
Ahn Hyo Seop plays Yeun Jun (2023) and Si Heon (1998)
All of the actors here are seasoned and very good at their jobs, so I am not casting shade on any of them—they are executing their performances based on writing and directorial choices. But I cannot deny that the Taiwanese version of these characters are more compelling all around. In SOOD, the main characters have a real spark; despite the melancholic undertone of the story, there are moments of genuine joy and when they connect with each other, you feel why this bond is strong enough for them to find each other through time and despite all the trauma they endure. In ATCY, however, the characterizations are muted.
This is most evident in the difference between Quan Sheng/Zi Wei and Yeon Jun/Si Heon. Greg Hsu plays Zi Wei as magnetic, playful, mischievous, utterly lovable, and very intense about his feelings for his lady. He has a real joie de vivre about him that clearly brightens up Yu Xuan’s life considerably, and his devotion to her is not just shown, but deeply felt. Experiencing their memories, you understand immediately why Yu Xuan can’t move on from his death; he was the joyful, relaxed counterpoint to her more ambitious and serious personality. Si Heon, though? He is a nice dude and a generous partner and he is very good looking. But he doesn’t have the playfulness or the intensity that his Taiwanese counterpart does. His personality is just more moderate all around. One great example of this: upon discovering that he has traveled forward into the body of the person that would become Yu Xuan/Jun Hee’s boyfriend, Zi Wei (in Quan Sheng’s body now, are you still with me?) actively decides to find her, love her, and try to solve this time loop quagmire they are in; Si Heon (in Yeon Jun’s body) waits for a moment of fate to give him a sign, and only makes the decision to pursue Jun Hee after running into her by coincidence.
Tumblr media
Similarly, Jun Hee is not quite as spunky and sassy as Yu Xuan and Min Yu is not as dark and awkward as Yun Ru; when Jun Hee travels to the past and takes up residence in Min Yu’s body, the differences between the two characters she is playing are not as evident. In SOOD, I could tell at a glance who is in Yun Ru’s body; in ATCY I need more context to be sure. Where Yun Ru had more of an edge, Min Yu simply reads very shy. It’s not as compelling. One scene that really stands out as an example of this: when Yun Ru is pretending to be Yu Xuan in 1998 and looks in the mirror to practice smiling, it looks downright creepy and sinister; when Min Yu is masquerading as Jun Hee and looks at herself in the mirror, she just looks awed and happy, if a bit awkward. It’s subtle, but it changes the way you feel about the characters.
The difference in Jun Hee and Yeon Jun’s characterization also affects the couple chemistry, which is just not nearly as strong in ATCY. The characters are more muted and thus the expected sparks are more like smoldering embers. The relationship feels cozy and warm and nurturing, but it doesn’t feel vital. It doesn’t feel like the kind of relationship you would fight through time or break the rules of the universe to return to. I recall gasping or crying or laughing out loud throughout SOOD because I was constantly taken aback by Greg Hsu’s arresting presence and the chemistry he and Alice Ke generated was just emotionally riveting. When Yu Xuan told Zi Wei (as Quan Sheng) that they were officially together, that man literally jumped for joy and shouted out his love for her; Si Heon (as Yeon Jun) reacts to the same moment with a quiet smile and a hug. When Zi Wei saw Yu Xuan in Yun Ru’s body again in the finale, he knew instantly that it was her and the smile overtook his face as he reached for her; Si Heon initially called Min Ju’s name before getting closer and taking several beats to realize it was Jun Hee (ruining this iconic moment is perhaps this remake’s greatest sin against romance, my god).
Everything between the couple in SOOD was just more, both in happiness and in despair. I liked Jun Hee and Si Heon, and Ahn Hyo Seop and Jeon Yeo Been are very competent actors whose performances I have loved in other dramas, but they didn’t achieve that level of chemistry here, the writing and directing choices worked against them, and I didn’t feel that same desperation for them to figure this out that I did with Yu Xuan and Zi Wei.
The Story
Tumblr media
The Korean version is a very faithful adaptation overall (I haven’t mentioned Jun Jie and In Gyuk because his character and story is more consistent across the two shows), but does make some small tweaks to the story, some of which seem to be out of necessity due to a shorter run time (one episode and a couple hours total less than the Taiwanese original) and some just… because? The shorter amount of story time does lead to them having to cut corners on some aspects of the mythology and time travel lore, making it all a bit less clear for folks who don’t already understand what’s going on, and they put in a few nods to typical kdrama tropes like amusement park dates and hand of fate stuff that we really didn’t need—they are already trapped in a time loop together, we get it!
ATCY also messed with the timelines and ages for reasons I don’t really understand and that don’t really track. In SOOD, Zi Wei traveled forward from 2002 to Quan Sheng’s body in 2010, met Yu Xuan, and then died in 2018. In ATCY, Si Heon traveled forward from 2002 only to 2007 and did not die until 2022—but the relationship dynamics are all the same. It made sense for a young couple who had been together about 7 years and who were in their mid-20s to be having the kind of relationship problems they did—fighting about prioritizing careers and time abroad and whether it was time to get married. But a couple who has been together nearly 15 years? Who are in their mid-30s? They would have already been married probably and had a couple kids to boot. The choice to change the timeline like this had me scratching my head and accomplished nothing for the story.
But neither of those things are the change to the story that is weighing on me most. That occurs in a very small and brief backstory for the real Yeon Jun, where the drama introduces an original character who has no counterpart in SOOD: Tae Ha.
Tumblr media
In SOOD, the real Quan Sheng is a closeted gay teenager who meets a tragic end: he confesses to his crush, gets brutally rejected, then gets bullied when the crush tells others about his sexuality, and ultimately decides to walk into the sea in an attempt to end his life, a choice that leaves his body in a coma until Zi Wei’s consciousness takes it over. In ATCY, this backstory changes and Rowoon is brought in for a brief but impactful cameo as Tae Ha, Yeon Jun’s cram school friend. We see that the two have mutual feelings for each other but are both struggling to confess. One day as they are driving together, they finally explicitly acknowledge their feelings, holding hands and smiling at one another—and then immediately get hit by a Truck of Doom (easily one of the most tired kdrama tropes), Tae Ha dying on impact and Yeon Jun ending up in a coma with Si Heon’s consciousness eventually taking over his body like in the original story.
Now on first glance, you might be inclined to give the show some credit for including a new gay character and giving the original Yeon Jun a happier experience with his crush. Explicit gay representation? In a mainstream kdrama? Still very rare and a big deal if done right. But if you think for a moment longer you’ll realize we can’t give the show credit for this, because this is a textbook execution of the Bury Your Gays trope and the narrative punishment that befalls gay characters who act on their attraction. Essentially, what the Korean remake did here was reveal these two characters are gay, killed them both immediately after they decided to pursue a relationship with each other, and then had the het male lead character take over the body of this gay man and use it to enter into a relationship with a woman. Some aspects of this plot were present in the original tale, but this choice to add an additional gay character only to kill him and tie it to their moment of acknowledging their mutual attraction? Made it significantly worse. It was badly done and I will not applaud the drama for representation when they did it in such a cruel way.
The Ending
Tumblr media
SOOD ends on a hopeful but somewhat ambiguous note, with Yu Xuan in 2020 finding a way to go back and save Yun Ru (and Jun Jie by extension) and then breaking the time loop, sacrificing her relationship with Zi Wei in the process even as it breaks her heart (because the only way for them to meet and fall in love in 2010 was to stay in the loop). She sacrifices their romance, and all their memories together, because it’s the right thing to do—she inadvertently destroyed Yun Ru’s life with her time traveling, and she couldn’t live with that knowing there was a way to fix it. We are left with a broken time loop, original teen Zi Wei meeting child Yu Xuan again in 1998, and the hope that they will find a way to make their fates align again and be together without time travel complications. It’s just the right bittersweet touch to end the story on; their previous relationship was lost and their sacrifice was real, but there is hope for another version of a happy life together, someday.
By contrast, ATCY goes for a more explicit happy ending: Jun Hee makes the same choice to go back and save Min Ju, and to break the time loop and sacrifice her relationship with Si Heon, but in ATCY we then jump forward to 2011 to a happy epilogue to see Si Heon and Jun Hee meet as adults. And look, I love a happy ending! But what I said above about the sacrifice Yu Xuan and Zi Wei made in SOOD really resonating because of its bittersweet ending? That’s absent here, because ATCY decided they needed to put a bow on it and reassure us they would get back together. ATCY was just never willing to let us stay in the grief or commit to the darker and sadder aspects of this story, and as a result, the whole thing loses some of its impact.

Philippines Fashion Style Lookbook I
In which Ai learns how to use GIMP to actually edit her lookbooks for once. (T▽T) This is my first time making an edit like this so apologies if it's very rough around the edges
First off, thanks to @itselliandra for her wonderful and absolutely amazing tutorial vid for showing me how to do all this! Which I wouldn't have found in the first place without browsing through @emmastillsims' beautiful lookbooks as well! ⁽⁽ଘ( ˊωˋ )ଓ⁾⁾
So, about this lookbook! For those that don't know, I'm a Filipino, and have lived in the Philippines pretty much my entire life! I wanted to share what kinds of styles and fashions were what I usually saw when traveling, going out, etc. ╰(⸝⸝⸝´꒳`⸝⸝⸝)╯
In the Philippines we definitely dress for the weather! It's usually hot and damp! Hence the more loose, showy, and flowy clothing!
From left to right, the styles in this lookbook are:
Hubadera - Coming from the Tagalog word "Hubad" which means bare or naked, this is a fashion style that emphasizes showing a lot of skin and feeling sexy. Think your Sim has the guts to pull off the hubadera lifestyle?
Basic - Simple and stylish! Beat the Filipino heat with a simple dress and light accessories to match. Whether going to the mall to hang out with friends, or meeting up with classmates for a group activity, sometimes basic is best!
Acubi - Minimalist and trendy, Acubi is a style that's in-between Y2K, minimalist and subversive. My sibling loves wearing this style and they were the one who suggested I include it! It apparently originates from Korea, and if there's one thing I know, it's that we Filipinos love all things Korean.
Tita of Manila - Literally meaning "Aunt/Auntie of Manila". With her designer bags (Whether they are real or secondhands she bought from an ukay-ukay is up for you to decide), expensive jewelry, and taste for wine and tea, the tita is a matron of class and privilege. Don't let her looks fool you, she can be as witty and as sharp as she needs to be!
I hope you all enjoy this one! I know I did as well! CC used and credits will be down below! Apologies if this one is super lengthy as far as my usual lookbooks go! ( ╥ω╥ )
Hubadera: Hair, Sunglasses on Head (By Erplederp, from an NSFW site), Choker, Top, Shorts (Base Game), Shoulder Bag (TSR), Navel Piercing (By Colores Urbanos, but I don't remember the link TwT), Rings, Nails, Thong, Platform Sandals

agustd Thank you alphataurif1
Yoongi had left already. He took his things and some extra thumb drives back to his own studio for some finishing touches as you and Yuki were left alone in your apartment.
With Yuki having to travel between races, home, and every once in a while out to Korea to also try and meet with you and Yoongi. He was nodding off in the seat across from you.
Even with all of that, and in spite of his personal training getting on him for being up a lot, he still performed well in the sport. His most recent race being a masterclass filled with overtakes and him personally dragging his car into points.
You let him sleep. You cleaned around him.
Taking dishes from the dinner that Yuki offered to cook for the three of you. The best dried tomato spaghetti you’d ever had, with some garlic bread from a small Italian place you didn’t know existed. The two of you had found it while out on a walk in one of the recent meetings.
Yuki stirred awake as you finished up. He stared, his eyes adjusting, “I would’ve helped” he said. His voice cracked from the short but still deep sleep.
“Get your sleep,” you shook your head, “we’re getting the music video done this month so you need the rest.”
Tumblr media
The time you got to spend with Yuki almost became too much. Not in that you would start arguing or anything. More so that you became close. Close enough that you couldn’t stand together for long without laughing.
At one point in teaching the two of you the song’s choreography, your loving and always gentle choreographer Seo Chanyeol had to separate you. Yuki became a test to that man’s patience like none other.
Never raising his voice, Chanyeol looked towards Yuki as his child. A quick glare to shut him up momentarily. Not letting the eye contact linger before turning away to still his own laughter.

After promo, after practices, after it all. When everything is said and done, your Tik Toks and YouTube videos are filmed, Yuki still has to go back to work. After a month that should have given him rest and relaxation, he’s off and putting himself all into his career. The thing he wants more than anything.
The two of you stand, that airport in Seoul loud around you. Your managers and bodyguards surrounding the two of you. You’re dressed like one of them. Escorting Yuki to the airport with fans crowding him as if he were one of you.
You squeeze his hand in a moment. You don’t leave a lingering touch, for fear that some eagle eyed and trigger happy fan with a camera might spot it. No doubt that small interaction could lead to more.
He separates from the group of you, and into his own group comprised of his own managers, social media personnel, and his personal trainer.
The distance that grows between you isn’t a problem. With the amount of money and resources between the two of you, a ticket from Seoul to Bahrain, or Italy, or wherever the sport takes Yuki means nothing.
It’s the reputation that comes with it. You’ve already had your fair share of dating scandals. And while you’re not banned from dating, what’s the point?
The two of you leave in your separate directions. Not a true goodbye between you. It’ll never be goodbye. But without the promise of privacy, it feels eerily final. Just as it did the last time.
You hope he feels the same. He’d said he did, one night after filming that first video. And he’s come back, with a promise of visiting again. An invite to any race weekend you’d like.
Say the words and he’ll send whoever he has to.
It’s not safe. A relationship for you will never be as safe or secure as if you’d like.

What if yn tries to break up w hee
"His Love..."
(What if...Breakup scenario) One shot *Requested*
Please note, this is not a part of the main storyline, this is a What If...scenario if y/n would ever try to break up with Heethan.
NO SMUT, but it is implied, and I'm still going to label this as MDNI and 18+ only just because of the forceful implications in the one shot that i dont want to spoil so read on only if you're 18+.
Placing the last of your belongings in your bag, you quickly made your way downstairs where your Uber was waiting for you.
'My classes will be at building B today, since building A is under maintenance.'
'Okay pretty baby, see you then.'
You hadn't lied necessarily, the building that hosted your classes on the regular had been under maintenance, and your classes were at the next building over...what you didn't tell him, however, was that you immediately got a ride and was dropped off at his frat house where you had quickly packed your necessities and was making your way to the airport. You couldn't take it anymore.
Heeseung...and Ethan for that matter, were both loving, caring, genuine, and really truly would do anything for you. Yet...
Where there was the good, there will always be the bad.
You cant recall how many times you tried talking with him about his obsession with you, which wouldn't have been so bad except it led to possessiveness, a controlled relationship where he called the shots, you were the one who was always rendered submissive due to his physical, mental, and emotional strengths as a man....actually two men if you counted his alter ego. Heeeseung and his other face had such strong personalities, and what was worse, was that he wanted to marry you, have children with you, and have you move with him across the other side of the world. Any girl would have loved that, but not you. You were far too independent and such committment was something you weren't ready for.
It was best for you to leave...
So, the last three months you had been secretly planning and putting your goals into action, all behind his back. You arranged for your credits to be transferred, you located a new school and applied, got accepted, and used the school's library to sign up for your next set of classes beginning in the fall. You had done everything carefully to not make him aware of your future without him.
Getting into the Uber, the 45 minute drive to the airport seemed much longer. You were nervous. Heeseung was far too smart for you to be pulling this off so easily, yet, he had a busy schedule what with preparing for graduation, assisting his professors, and leading the basketball team. Perhaps he lost his attention to details due to having a full plate. He was, after all, preparing his future with you, making all preparations for the both of you to travel overseas and begin your new life in Korea.
'I know nothing of Korea...what am I supposed to do over there? This is for the best, there's no way I can go with him...even if I do love and care for him.'
You started to become glossy eyed. Why did such a caring and loving person had to have such strong flaws? If it weren't for him desiring for you to be with him all the time, things would have been perfect. God knows you've tried.
You've tried to talk to him, you've tried many methods in getting him to open his eyes but he was too deeply committed to his plans, forcing you to believe you'd be happy once you left your home country.
'You're going to be happy. Trust me. Let's not talk about this anymore, you're coming with me and that's where we're going to leave it at.'
'But Heeseung-'
'Shhh....pretty baby...I SAID....that it's done.'
You recalled the moment where he took that stern tone with you, your eyes widened with slight fear. He noticed.
He gently embraced you and reassured you once more.
'Haven't I always made you happy? Don't you trust me? Believe me you're going to be well taken care of. Dont worry anymore. Leave it alone and be with me...forever.'
That's when you knew, he wasn't going to bend. So you had made a choice...without him.
The driver finally reached the airport, and to your surprise, everything from the baggage check in, the security screening, and arriving to your gate went smoothly. Nothing popped up and interrupted your plan.
You had every right to be fearful, again, Heeseung was smart....with his Ethan face by his side, they were even smarter. They were cunning, clever, and far too hard to pull off a stunt like this without them knowing...so of course, you would be fretful in them finding out and finding you.
Once you arrived at your gate, you felt relieved. Setting down your carry on, you sat and watched the clock. Just 40 minutes until you can board the plane and take off.
When the time had reached to the last 10 minutes, your heart dropped at the announcement of technical issues with the plane, causing a 18 hour delay in departure.
You frowned and rubbed your temples.
'Of course....of course this would happen.'
Getting up, since there was way too much time to just sit at the airport, especially risking being caught should Heeseung show up and try to find you, you decided to get another uber and locate a nearby hotel.
Once you got settled in your room, you changed into a short, camisole night slip and called it a night, even thought it was only 8 pm. You were mentally exhausted and just wanted to sleep.
Your phone dings, though you knew it wasn't Heeseung since you had blocked his number.
It was from H/N and Jake...
Tumblr media
You felt terrible for allowing H/N and Jake to get worried, since you told absolutely no one about your plans. You couldn't risk it slipping up and becoming known to Heeseung. You really wanted to tell her you were safe, you really did...but you refrained.
'Its better this way. I'll message her and explain things once I get to my destination.'
Placing your phone down, you set the alarm and slowly drifted to sleep.
You wake up to the sound of your alarm, you hadn't realized how tired you were until you fell alseep and heard your alarm. It felt as if you had closed your eyes for only a minute.
Getting up, you walk over to the mini fridge and take out a small bottled water, when something had caught your eye.
'What's this?'
Walking over to the strange object on the floor next to the dresser, you saw what looked like a piece of torn paper, upon inspecting it closer, you flip it over to find it was a photo of yourself, the one you took with Heeseung yet it was ripped in half and the part where Heeseung stood next to you was missing.
'....Oh my God...please dont tell me he found out...how could he find me?'
You thought to yourself for a moment, maybe it was a photo you ripped up out of anger and it had slipped out from your wallet or your bag?
Cautiously looking through every angle of your room, it was empty. Just you and the furnishings of the hotel was inside.
'How did this...?'
This left a bad taste in your mouth, you quickly grabbed your clothes to start changing, yet before you could undress you heard the sliding door open...it was to the-
'The balcony....'
Upon the door opening, with the sheer curtains at full mast, you saw the tall shadow figure slowly shutting the door from behind as they remained facing you.
You already knew...
Your eyes began to get teary as you dropped the clothing that was in your hand. Crossing your arms and looking off to the side in a prideful state, trying your best to not show the moisture in your eyes...or the fear in your face, you took one sniffle as you did your best to remain composed as you spoke out.
"How....did you find me?"
He didn't answer back. Instead, the sound of his knuckles cracking was heard, nearly echoing and breaking the silence of the room.
You could see from the silhouette that he had his black tanker jacket on, fully unzipped, straight jeans, his black cap, and what you assumed was a fitted t-shirt under his jacket. Once he got nearer, you also saw that he had on the black fingerless gloves that he used for whenever he practiced martial arts or even some of his dance practices.
Tumblr media
With a chill riding up your spine, you took a short step back as he came closer...and closer....and even CLOSER, without saying a word.
So close, his chest pressed up against yours while his face buried into the side of your face as you looked away the moment he leaned in.
With a large and deep inhale, he takes a whiff of your scent as he moves his face, nuzzling it even further against your hair and ear.
"S-stop.." you whimpered out. Your heartbeat escalated and you felt as if it was about to explode out of your chest, when the sound of his knuckles cracking once more snapped you out focus.
"Hmmm...pretty baby....thought i lost you for a second." he spoke calmly...too calmly.
"You had everyone worried....you know that?....You had ME....worried....so-so-so worried baby girl." the last bit of his sentence he continued to not only rub his face against the side of yours, but he buries it deeper, rubbing his lips against your cheek in the process.
"But here you are....nearby the airport...with plane tickets huh?" your eyes widened at realizing that you left your plane tickets on the table out in the open....he saw them.
"So where were you planning on going? Hmm?" he moves his head back, smirking at you as he bit down on his lip and raised an eyebrow at you, revealing his eyes gleaming at you from underneath his cap. Pieces of his hair framing the back of his neck as they laid long and tapered, as well as draping over the helix of his ears.
Looking at you for a response, you felt your lips quiver as you stuttered out your response.
"..I-..I'm leaving....I'm sorry I cant-....I can't do it anymore Heeseung."
things were quiet for a moment, before you felt him gently stroke your arm with his hand....the leather of those gloves was all you could feel even with his bare fingers slightly digging into your skin as he moves them.
"Oh?....Why would you leave? Hmm? Why would you leave me when I love you more than anything in the world...and show it?"
You didn't answer, you started to slowly feel your chest hyperventiliating as you lost control of your breathing.
"He-Heeseung please....dont-"
"Hmm? What? What pretty baby.....WHAT?"
The sternness of his last word spoken right into your ear caused your shoulders to shrug out of fear as you winced and whimpered slight sobs. You knew you had messed up, even though you had your own intentions for it. Had you not gotten caught, it would have been different....had you not gotten caught.
"H-how did you find me?"
Embracing you, trapping you into his arms and squeezing you up against his broad chest, the scent of his cologne punching your nose as you hear his heartbeat and felt him kiss the top of your head.
"I must have the word 'FOOL' tattooed on my forehead, huh?"
His tone was less calm, less rational...it sounded.....
'Oh no...'
You placed your hands on his chest and tried to push him away, only to struggle as he kept his arms wrapped around you locking you in the embrace he intially pulled you in. With his lips against your forehead, you felt him smirk as he continued.
"I must be stupid, huh?"
"He-Heeseung-!"
"I must be the worlds biggest idiot, aren't I?"
"St-stop!"
"Bet you thought I wouldn't have figured it out, did you?"
"Hee-"
"Thats right...that's right...i must be a fool....an idiot....i must be so damn FUCKING stupid since you obviously like to treat...US that way." his tone was antagonizing and forceful as he snapped out each word, piercing your soul as he did so.
Upon hearing the last bit of his statement, you finally looked up and saw that his face revealed the essence that was Heeseung, yet there was significant traits of Ethan mixed in.
"Wh-what...?"
"Hmm....maybe i am stupid....for going too easy on you."
".........."
"Oh? Dont be quiet now babygirl." Nodding his chin at you as he furrowed his brows in an irritated...an angry manner, he continues to antagonize you with his words and tone. "Come on, let me hear what you gotta say, since you're SO damn fucking smart and clever to fool my genuine love for you."
Biting his lip once more, only this time, he raised both brows and the significant trait of Ethan appears, still mixed in with his Heeseung side as he widens his eyes...too wide.
"...Hee-...please....please dont..."
"No no, i wanna hear you tell me ALL about how fun it was to trick me." grinning at you, with his eyes still wide, to the point where the iris shrank and gave him a malicious appeal.
You merely stood and shook your head as your brows slightly furrowed in anguish and fear.
"Awww....cant speak now?....What a shame...you know how much i love hearing your voice..." His tone went back to being someone calm like normal, which made it easier for you to breathe. When you suddenly saw him shift his eyes from your face, to your breasts, your waist, and your hips...they kept going lower and lower, you started to panic once more.
"In fact...you know how much I love everything about you....like the way that you...." he moves a piece of hair from your face and leans into your exposed ear, and whispers so harshly yet tenderly. "Like the way you scream out my name."
Placing a small peck on your helix, he moves his lips over to your neck.
"Or like the way i love it when you take all of me in...like a good girl." he places another tender kiss on the nook of your neck, right above your shoulder.
"Or when I tell you to keep fucking it...and watch you take it no matter how HARD i go." he places a small kiss yet again, on your exposed cleavage.
"Yeah...you should already know just how much...i LOVE you...y/n."
his tone goes back to being someone stern and antagonizing again, you squirm within his arms, yet he only squeezed harder, forcing you to look at him directly as he slightly lifted you from the ground, forcing you to be on your tippy toes, despite that, you were nowhere near eye level with him, he was too damn tall.
"So...this is what's going to happen. Since you transferred all of your credits to a school that you are NOT going to be attending, i guess that means you're not doing college anymore." He smirks and licks his lips.
"I guess that also means you are entirely free to move with me, and from the looks of it, the sooner, the better. Since you're in the mood to board a plane and leave...you're so eager, that you didn't want to tell me, riiiiight? hmm? Pretty baby?"
Your heart nearly stopped beating, his tone, his words, the way he was grinning and licking his lips at you, it all scared you to death, not to mention the grip he had with his arms squeezing around you as you tried to push him back with your hands firmly placed on his chest, leaning your head back, trying to be away from him as much as possible.
"Which also means that....we can get married, and start...." leaning his face in once more, he whispers right up against your ear. "I guess we can make you into a mommy now, huh?"
At that last bit, you whimpered and sobbed as you became more relentless in squirming, but to no avail. he kept whispering into your ear as he smirked at you struggling.
"yeah? you want me to fuck a baby inside you pretty baby?"
"stop! no!"
"Yeah...i think you do."
"Stop it! Heeseung let go!"
Swooping a hand underneath your thigh, he lifts it and swings it over around his waist.
"Bet that's going to tame you down, huh? Where is poor y/n going to go with a baby inside her? Tying her down to big bad wolf."
He nuzzles his face in, nibbling and kissing your ear amidst your struggles.
"Stop!" you yelped and began to silently sob.
"Come on baby, tell me how much you want my dick inside you."
"Stop! Dont!"
"Tell me you want it."
"Heeseung!"
Gasping a low growl in your ear, he raises a hand and lifts your chin to face him. Looking at you, his sinister and antagonizing gaze was replaced with one of extreme anger....no...it was murderous. He's never looked at you this way before.
"Hee-Heeseung...?" you gulped as you stood wide eyed...
'Is he going to kill me?'
A split second thought flashed through your mind as the look he was giving you made you frozen still...shocking you into a depth of fear that you hadn't felt before.
Glaring at you, he strokes your chin with his thumb as he continues to gently hold you up, facing directly into his eyes.
"Dont ever fucking leave me like that again....i'll fucking tear you to pieces if there is ever a next time. Got it?" he snaps his grip around your waist against his, as he jolts you to answer.
"Ye-yes!" you sobbed as you whimpered.
"Hmm...good. Now take this off." he tugged on the spaghetti strap of your camisole slip.
"but..-"
His eyes widened back as he quickly leaned his face in against yours, pressing his nose against your cheek as he harshly whispered against your lips.
"Pretty baby! I said....TAKE....IT....OFF."
His eyes remained wide and was right in front of yours, so close, that both your eyelashes were touching.
Slipping off your night dress, you stood without a bra, just a pair of lace panties...which happened to be his favorite.
Looking at you as he remained firmly gripping you, he smiles as he slightly backs his face away, and places a kiss on your lips. Without breaking physical contact, he speaks...his lips move against yours.
"Well...lets go." he smirks.
Four months had passed by since that day, and just as Heeseung had planned, you were in Korea with him, in the large beautiful house that he had built for you, with a massive rose garden, and he even allowed you to continue your school all online. Since you had broken the trust and lost certain privliages, you were nearly never out of his sight. He even brought you into work with him, since he had that luxury, practically being his own boss and being the son of the owner of Hybe.
Every day, you worked on your laptop to finish your assignments on the luxury lounge that was within his office, or the fine seating area behind the glass of the recording room whenever he was present to produce his music through the top artists of his father's company.
You stood up and mentioned you were going to go get some water, he merely sat leaned back in his chair with his arms crossed and looked at you lovingly, nodding as he issued a quick nod of his chin to one of the security members of the building to attend with you. That was somewhat normal now.
Making your way upstairs to the large kitchenette and cafe, you grabbed a water and a piece of fruit. A couple of trainees spot and approach you, making conversation as they saw that you were a foreigner. Just like some of the trainees in Hybe, one of the girls could speak english rather well.
"Oh my! Hi! You're a foreigner?"
"Yes."
"Oh, how long you've been in Korea?"
"About three months now."
"Oh welcome! Do you like it here?"
"Yeah, there's alot to do and it's really pretty over here."
"Oh that's so good to hear. You're so very pretty, i love your eyes and hair and skin."
"Oh...thank you."
"Also...are you pregnant?"
"....Yes."
They squealed in delight as they took notice of you barely showing, yet the slight bump still gave you away, despite wearing a sun dress, the one that Heeseung loved seeing you in.
"Oh my gosh! Is the daddy Korean?"
"Yes."
At the mentioning of 'daddy' your mind flashed back to that night, four months ago, when Heeseung...and Ethan, both 'punished' you for decieving, worrying, and enraging them. Displaying the distrust and dishonest side of you that night, it wasn't until the next morning, after he spent the entire night devouring you inside and out, that on the car ride back to his frat home, you felt somewhat guilty when he softly explained how worried you made him. Even though you were so worn out from his wrath, you could barely stand without feeling pain for the next 48 hours after the night at the hotel.
"Yes...the daddy is Korean."
"Awww how nice! Well take care, and eat well for little baby." They waved as they bid you farewell.
You stood and continued eating the apple, when you felt a pair of hands playing with your hair form behind.
"Made some new friends?"
His voice was deep as he peeked around from your back, leaning into you from your side as he places a kiss on your cheek.
"...Sort of."
"Mmm that's good. Now, what does baby feel like eating for dinner tonight? Whatever you or junior wants, you guys can have. Just tell me." he kisses you once more.
Yeah...junior.
The baby boy you're carrying inside your belly, a small, miniature Heeseung growing inside you, conceived the night you received your punishment. Yet you couldnt help but wonder...
'Had i not...tried to run away...had i just accepted his offer and stayed put....I wouldn't be pregnant right now....i would have been able to take my time and finish college like i wanted to. But...i guess this is fine. I'm going to be a mother....i'm going to be a mommy. Which means i'll be with him forever....because even though he can be monstrous at times....i can't abandon my baby...ever. And as long as i love him and show him love, he's the best man i know. So long as I dont try to ignore or move away from his love.'
His love.....
Authors Note: Well shit Heethan.....God forbid there wasn't another man involved. I'm sure there would have been blood. But since he didn't have to worry about that, Heethan merely just had to focus on making you stay with him....FOREVER. is that a good thing or a bad thing? :)

pairing: [best friend’s brother] lee minho x college!reader ft. han jisung
summary: you didn’t expect to spend your summer pretending to be your best friend’s girlfriend- then again, you didn’t expect to fall for your best friend’s brother, either.
warnings: swearing, mentions of sex (18+ mdni)
word count: 3.5k
a/n: revamped my tom holland series from my main blog ( @wazzupmrstark ) to try and motivate myself to finish it!!
series masterlist | early access to the next chapter on ko-fi
The flight from Naples to Tokyo took fourteen hours, not including the two-and-a-half-hour layover in Istanbul, meaning you had sixteen and a half hours to sit in awkward tension-filled silence next to Jisung. The tension was one-sided, of course, but it was still agonizing to endure.
You had been able to push your anxiety aside during your last day in Italy because it had been so busy. There had been a power outage in the middle of the night, causing everyone to oversleep and miss the ferry for one of your tours that morning. It had been a scramble to get back on schedule and do as much as possible with the time you had left. The boys had been hungover and their parents were tired of wrangling them. You had dozens of photos on your camera roll of Jisung and Felix bickering when they were supposed to be posing for a nice picture, and even more of Minho flicking them off.
But now you were stuck alone with your thoughts, unable to use distraction as a means to escape. You tried reading your book, but found yourself unable to concentrate on the words on the page. After staring at the same paragraph for over fifteen minutes Jisung noticed and asked if you were okay and you finally decided to call it quits.
You almost wished the Hans hadn’t scheduled in a day and a half to adjust to the time zone change. You’d rather exhaust yourself with the nonstop tourist bullshit than have to cope with the reality that you had gotten off to thoughts about your best friend’s brother. Not to mention living with the secret that the same best friend’s brother had kissed you not long before that.
If Jisung noticed anything was off, he didn’t mention it. He probably chalked it up to lack of sleep, or perhaps was too tired himself to care.
“Which one of us do you think will be randomly selected in customs today?” Felix asked, stretching his arms above his head.
You were standing in the aisle waiting to deplane, placing bets on who’d get searched by border agents this time. Somehow each time you traveled to a new place one of you was always chosen to get pat down or have your carry-on searched. Minho had yet to be the lucky winner, and you suspected it had something to do with his celebrity status.
“Y/n,” Minho answered easily. “She has the U.S. passport.”
You rolled your eyes. “Like Korea has a squeaky clean record with Japan.”
“Okay, but it’s the other way around for us. At least we didn’t-”
“Bro, you can’t say the b word on a plane,” Felix interrupted.
“Even when the plane’s on the ground?”
Jisung shrugged. “Better safe than sorry.”
“Whatever,” Minho continued. “It’s definitely going to be y/n.”
-
“Would you mind stepping out of line, ma’am?”
You sighed, not even bothering to look back at the boys. You already knew they were grinning like idiots and you didn’t want to give them the satisfaction. The agent ushered you to the side behind a glass partition, but not before you heard another agent repeat the same question to one of the Hans. You smiled to yourself, happy not to be the only one singled out.
Behind the privacy screen another agent greeted you and asked you to take your sweatshirt off, explaining that it was too baggy and needed to be checked. You saw other people in baggy clothes who weren’t getting pulled out of line, but assumed they didn’t have the red flag of “U.S. Citizen” printed on their identification that would be cause for any additional suspicion. You complied with the agent’s request and pulled your sweatshirt off for them to further inspect.
You were glad you’d worn a sports bra beneath your sweatshirt because you usually didn’t wear anything underneath them. As soon as your head was out of the pullover you immediately met by Minho’s polite smile.
He averted his eyes as soon as he saw you, pausing his conversation with the official to mumble a quiet ‘sorry’ to you as he was shown to the spot next to yours.
You zoned out as they spoke, only aware of him again when he started unbuckling his belt. You caught his eye this time.
“Forgot to take it off,” he explained.
“Sweatshirt’s too loose.”
You both faced forward as the customs officials proceeded through the motions. You were stuck standing there half-naked with your arms wrapped around your chest self-consciously while an agent pat Minho’s legs down.
“Dad said we can meet them at baggage claim,” Minho said after a few moments of silence between the two of you. “They went on without us.”
“Okay,” you squeaked back in response.
You knew it wouldn’t take long, but it still made you nervous to be alone with Minho. Jisung was like a safety blanket, or a buffer between you and him and without him you were afraid it would be painfully awkward.
The woman handed you your sweatshirt back and you had to wait for Minho outside of the screening area. He joined you a minute or so later.
“They find any dirt on you?” you asked from where you were leaning against the wall across from the exit.
“Nope, you?”
“Yeah, actually I’m in custody right now. Can’t believe you missed the handcuffs.”
“Man, what’d they get you for?”
“Identity theft,” you sighed.
“Damn, that’s a bummer,” Minho replied, false sympathy rolling off his words.
He cocked his head in the direction the rest of his family had went, indicating that you should get going, and held out a hand to pull you upright. You took it hesitantly and let him help you.
“I was actually hoping you could bail me out?” you went on, continuing with the bit.
Minho made a sound through his teeth and grimaced. “I’m kinda broke right now.”
“Aren’t you a famous dancer?”
“Sorry, but I think you have me confused with someone else.”
“No, you’re definitely the guy!”
“You’re thinking of Choi Minho,” he insisted.
“Remember that IOU you gave me? I’m cashing it in now.”
“That’s not how it works!”
You laughed. “No, but if I ever actually get arrested I’m using my IOU to get you to bail me out of jail.”
“I don’t think that a kiss and getting bailed out of prison are comparable, but I didn’t put any conditions on that postcard, did I?”
“Nope!” You smiled happily.
“Well that’s on me, so…”
You took the shuttle together to the other side of the airport where the rest of the Hans were waiting and finally found them with all of your luggage at the furthest carousel from the entrance.
“It’s about time!” Felix yelled over the crowd as soon as he saw you.
Jisung grinned when he saw you and you couldn’t help but grin back. He wrapped an arm around you instinctively and you relaxed into his shoulder, relieved to be with him again. It hadn’t dawned on you until that moment just how attached you were, but you didn’t have time to dwell on it because the other Hans were all looking at you expectantly.
“Did everything go okay?” Nikki asked.
Minho nodded. “They made y/n strip, but it was uneventful otherwise.”
You pursed your lips, cheeks burning. “It was just my sweatshirt!” you hissed to Jisung.
“Yeah, but you never wear anything under your sweatshirts!” Jisung hissed back.
“I had a bra on this time.”
“Oh, so it was just another night at the bar for you?” You wrestled yourself out of Jisung’s grasp at that and glared. “Am I wrong?”
Jisung’s dad cut in before you could respond. He had a habit of calling “family meetings” in the middle of public spaces to finalize plans and get everybody on the same page, which was always an experience.
“Alright, gather up, gang!” he said, beckoning you all closer. “So we’ll be staying at… this hotel,” he explained and turned his phone around to show you the name of it. “And the thing is, we have two rooms to share between the six of us. One for your mother and I, and another for you four.”
“What?” Jisung asked. “You’re going to make us stay with them?”
“I thought we were getting three rooms like every other time,” Minho chimed in.
“We were meant to, but I made a mistake when booking it,” Dom clarified.
“How?”
“The entire website was in Japanese, Jisung. I don’t know Japanese!”
“Dad, Google has a translate webpage option!” Felix groaned.
“Well no one told me that while I was booking this entire trip by myself!”
You traded a look with Minho, who looked just as panicked as you felt. But it would only be for a week. You would find a way to manage. You didn’t really have any other option.
“I’m sure it’ll be fun,” Jisung tried, forcing a smile.
“That’s the spirit!” Dom cheered. “We’ll make it work.”
-
“Ji and I will take the bunk beds.”
The room was a decent size. It was definitely bigger than Jisung’s dad had made it sound. A large window on the back wall flooded the space with natural light and offered a view of the city below. By the door was a small fridge and a countertop with a sink and a couple of burners built in so that guests could cook their own meals. There was a queen sized bed jutting out from the western-facing wall and built into the adjacent wall were two twin-sized bunks, one on top of the other, making the room feel… cozy.
Felix and Minho traded looks with each other.
“Kidding.”
The boys visibly relaxed and chuckled awkwardly.
“If I ever have to share a bed with Minho again it’ll be too soon,” Felix sighed.
“Is that any way to treat your big brother?” Minho scoffed.
“I’m taller than you.”
“That’s only because you’re wearing boots.”
“Whatever,” Felix grumbled, kicking off his shoes by the door.
Minho slung his backpack onto the top bunk and pulled his sweatshirt off over his head, exposing a strip of his stomach in the process. You looked away instinctively, hoping that you hadn’t drawn any attention to yourself while doing so.
“You always get the top bunk,” Felix whined.
“Yeah, because I’m older.”
“That’s not fair!”
“My brothers are actually ten years old,” Jisung explained to you, raising his voice so that you could hear him over the bickering.
“No, I think ten-year-olds know how to take turns,” you said dismissively, not missing the glares from the other two Hans.
“You’re right,” Jisung agreed. He pushed his hair out of his eyes and sighed. “Reminds me of the family vacations we used to take. We used to share one hotel room when we traveled.”
“All boys… I don’t know how your mom did it.”
“None of us do.”
“I thought we were going to sleep,” Felix muttered from where he was already laying down on the bottom bunk, clearly irritated.
“Give us a minute to settle in, dude,” Jisung shot back before dropping into a whisper. “It’s going to be a long week.”
You shook your head, putting your hands on his shoulders. “Everyone’s just cranky because they’re tired,” you reasoned. “We’ll get some sleep and then grab some food and then maybe they’ll be in a better mood.”
“You don’t know them like I do,” Jisung warned.
“That’s true, but won’t they tone it down since I’m here?”
Jisung snorted. “Wishful thinking.”
You rolled your eyes. “Whatever, I’m going to hop in the shower. I feel gross after being on a plane for so long.”
“I’ll go after you,” Jisung replied with a nod. “Let me know if you need anything.”
You thanked him with a kiss under the watchful eyes of his brothers who both groaned in protest.
“Oh, fuck off,” Jisung growled against your lips.
“By the way, sharing a bed doesn’t mean you get to mess around because I don’t want to hear that shit.”
“Felix!” Jisung and Minho shouted, Minho going as far as throwing a pillow at his younger brother from the top bunk.
“Just being honest! We heard you going at it like rabbits when you had your own room, and I didn’t say anything about it then-”
“Felix.” To your surprise, it was Minho who cut him off, raising another pillow in warning. Thankfully, Felix took the hint that time and shut up, crossing his arms over his chest in annoyance.
You smiled to yourself with the knowledge that your little Easy A stunt had worked, and looked over to see that Jisung was wearing a matching smirk. He winked at you before turning to glare at his brothers.
“On that note, I’m going to shower,” you said, mostly to Jisung, and made your way over to where you had dropped your suitcase by the door.
You gathered a set of pajamas to change into and then wandered into the bathroom, quietly closing the door behind you. It was one of those rolling doors so you had to be extra careful not to knock it off its hinges or the track and cause even more noise than necessary. You set your change of clothes on the counter next to the sink and began to undress, leaving your worn clothes on the floor.
The shower was kept in a room separate from the room with the sink and vanity, something you had read was common for Japanese washrooms. Inside the second room was a bathtub with a complicated looking panel next to it. With a closer inspection you determined it was used to fill the bath with water and customize the temperature. The showerhead was secured to the wall just to the side of the tub which meant you would have to hold it while you showered, but you didn’t mind. You were used to holding the showerhead for… other reasons.
Your shower was quick. You didn’t want to take too long when you knew other people were waiting for it. You were drained too. Even as you dried yourself off with a towel you could feel your arms start to get heavier.
You wrapped your hair in your towel and put on your pajamas shortly after, trying not to cringe at the way the fabric clung to your still-damp body. Usually you wouldn’t get dressed in the bathroom right after taking a shower because it was always so humid and sticky, you’d go out in the bedroom to do it, but as Jisung’s girlfriend the latter wasn’t an option. So you dealt with the discomfort and ventured back into the main room.
It was dark now. Someone, you assumed Jisung, had pulled the blackout curtains shut so that the daylight could no longer stream through the window. Felix was already fast asleep, but Minho and Jisung were still awake, scrolling through their phones on their respective sides of the room.
Jisung was perched on top of your bed, resting comfortably. He wasn’t underneath the covers, probably because he knew you didn’t like to share a bed with someone who hadn’t showered.
He smiled when he saw you and pushed himself up onto his elbows.
“Shower’s all yours,” you said.
“Thanks.”
You watched him rifle through his suitcase for pajamas and then eventually disappear into the bathroom before finally flinging yourself onto the bed. You still needed to take your hair out of the towel and brush your teeth, but you took a moment to just. Lay there.
Minho didn’t acknowledge you, hadn’t so much as looked at you since you came out of the bathroom, but you still found yourself looking over to him.
At the airport he had seemed at least a little concerned that he would have to share a room with you. Even in the cab to the hotel he kept sneaking glances at you when he thought you weren’t paying attention. But now he looked completely relaxed and you were second guessing yourself. Maybe you’d been projecting. Maybe he hadn’t been anxious at all.
You, on the other hand, felt like you hadn’t been able to exhale since Dom had announced that you’d be sharing a room with Jisung’s brothers.
It had dawned on you as soon as you stepped into the hotel room that you’d never be able to let your guard down. Before this point you had at least been able to take breaks, retreat to your hotel room with Jisung and be yourselves without worrying that one of his family members was around. You hadn’t needed to keep up the act 24/7, but now you had no other choice. It was only for a week, but you knew it was going to be exhausting. You weren’t even sure that your current performance was believable, and that was without all of the more intimate interactions couples had in private. The good night kisses, the cuddling in bed together, falling asleep in each other’s arms, the good morning kisses, all things you’d have to take into consideration. Most couples you knew moved in harmony, like they were one person, half of a whole. You and Jisung were more like the hands on a clock. You were always moving in the same direction, and once in a while you’d overlap, but more often than not you were facing each other on completely opposite sides of the clock. It was what made you such good friends. Best friends. But what would make you terrible lovers.
To be fair, a lot of people misunderstood your dynamic, which you had been using to your advantage. They assumed that since you were always together you were basically the same person- and they weren’t necessarily wrong. You and Jisung spent a majority of your time together. You knew each other well enough to finish each other’s sentences, to voice aloud what the other was thinking before they even said it.
The vibration of your phone next to you disrupted your train of thought. It was a text from Jisung.
Can you come here rq? I need help lol.
Confused, you pushed back the covers and stood up. You dropped your phone back on the bed and walked over to the bathroom, keenly aware of the way Minho stiffened in his bed.
You rolled back the door and found Jisung standing in his boxers next to the tub.
“What is it?” you asked, shutting the door behind you.
“How did you figure out the shower? I can’t get the water to be hot.”
“This is what you called me in here for?” you said, exasperation dripping from your voice.
“Yes! I don’t want to take a cold shower.” He said it like it should’ve been obvious.
“Did you try messing with the knobs? That’s how I figured it out.”
Jisung’s cheeks turned a faint shade of pink as he pursed his lips, thinking about how to answer.
“Not all of them,” he admitted.
“Are you fucking kidding me?”
“Sorry?”
“It’s the one on the left, dumbass,” you said and twisted the knob for him.
“Thanks,” he mumbled sheepishly. “I just didn’t want to fuck up the shower or anything.”
Men, you thought to yourself shaking your head.
“I’m going to bed,” you told him. “Before your brothers think I’m in here giving you head or something.”
“Let them think what they want,” he said, shrugging it off.
“I want to preserve what little amount of respect they have for me, thanks.”
Jisung just chuckled and thanked you again as you let yourself out into the room with the sink. While you were there you hung up your wet towel and brushed your teeth with your finger and the toothpaste the hotel provided. You were too lazy to go get your toothbrush out of your bag.
“That was fast.”
You jumped, hand racing to your heart when you realized it was just Minho. He was still in his bed, but had rolled onto one side so that he could talk to you.
“You scared the shit out of me!” you hissed.
“Sorry.” He didn’t sound very sorry. “What did my brother want?”
God damn it, Jisung.
“Why do you ask?”
Minho shrugged. “Just wondering.”
“He needed help figuring out the shower,” you explained.
“Glad he has you for that.”
You narrowed your eyes at the boy in the top bunk. He was trying to get under your skin. Why?
The ball was in your court. You could be the bigger person and let it go, or-
“He has me for a lot of things.” You pushed your tongue against your cheek so that there was a visible outline and brought your fist up to your mouth, moving it back and forth subtly so that he’d get the idea without being too obscene. “But you already knew that, didn’t you?”
