Valentines Day with Belphegor

2nd person POV, intended male reader but gender neutral; fluff

I wanted to write something for Valentine's Day so have some established relationship Belphie V day content its pretty short but i hope you still enjoy :)

Belphegor wasn't exactly what you might call a romantic person, he’s not the type to make grand gestures or serenade you. He’s also not exactly the type of person to get you flowers for every date, but he still managed to show he cared about you in his own way.

If you tell him you like Valentine’s day, he’s all over it. Especially if you seem really excited about it, otherwise, he's a lot more chill about it, but he definitely makes a point to put some effort in a valentines date either way.

Valentine's Day would be one of the times Belphie would get you flowers without you asking, if you did ask he would send you flowers in the morning and then bring you more when he picked you up for your date.

He would get you two a table at a nice restaurant. He had made sure they were serving your favorite or at least something he knew you’d enjoy beforehand. You two would have a nice dinner, with little jokes and teasing thrown into comfortable conversations. His hand would only leave yours when he had to eat. The two of you had a table away from most people with a beautiful view of the cityscape.

He had even managed to keep the sleep talk to a minimum and only napped a little between dinner and dessert. Not that you minded; he would always let you play with his hair as he slept.

He is totally smug if he sees his brothers while he’s out with you. Especially if you run into Lucifer, he acts so nonchalant about it for someone who has such a smug look on their face.

After dinner, he could be talked into taking a nice walk. But don’t be surprised if he leads you toward the first bench he comes across, and he's probably going to fall asleep on your shoulder as you guys continue to talk.

After you two get back, he'll usher you up to the attic where Belphie set up a surprise for you. Belphie managed to bargain with Solomon to get him to enchant the ceiling of the attic to emulate the human realm’s stars. He also managed to set out snacks and a record player with a selection of records. He will tease you to 'make sure they’re not cursed before you play them.' Don't be fooled by his teasing, he already made sure they would be safe for his human.

After you’ve played a record and taken off your jacket, he’ll drag you to lie next to him on the bed. You honestly should have expected this. Considering how much of an absolute cuddle bug the demon was, you should have expected him to practically purr as he laid his head on your chest with his arms wrapped around you.

It wasn’t typical for him to stay up so long when he was cuddled up with you, but today was different. Today he wanted to admire you, he wanted to make sure you knew he cared about you. He knew he could be a little shit, but today Belphie wanted to make sure he perished any doubts you held about the manner of your relationship.

You could feel Belphie kiss your jaw as you admired the faux stars. “It's pretty, isn’t it starlight,” he murmured against your skin, “I figured it could entertain you as I held you captive in my arms. Maybe next year, I’ll find a way to take you to the real thing. I don’t know if you miss the human realm, but maybe we could make a whole day out of it. Maybe it’s the lack of sleep talking, but I think anywhere with you sounds nice.”
