Avatar: Reckoning mobile game releasing in June..

Some interesting info:

there is evidence in Reckoning that Avatars have become cheaper over time (hence the Recombinants). Does this mean we get more Recoms in the movies or death Recoms being revived.

The story is set after the events of the first film, after the RDA has returned to Pandora. Although a year has not been provided, this means it must be set during or after the late 2160s.

The story takes place in never-before-seen parts of Pandora where players will meet new Na'vi clans fighting to defend their home and battle the RDA for the resources. These clans include the Hulanta Clan and the Rey'tanu Clan. The plot is canon, but will not tie in with the events of the films.

We're officially in the ✨Avatar multiverse✨

the fact that reboots used to be like thirty or forty years apart and are now instead like 3-10 years apart is absolutely ridiculous. like are we so trapped in a capitalist hellscape that instead of us naturally cherishing a beloved piece of media like it deserves and looking forward to NEW stories with NEW universes we have to watch the same thing over and over and over again with reboot after reboot after reboot until that media has been so sucked dry that us as an audience are literally sick at the mere mention of it

one thing that annoys me is people reading yangchen’s books and acting like she should be this bloodthirsty assassin.

the point of yangchen’s character isn’t that she revels in violence. it’s that she would forsake her cultural beliefs for the sake of the world if she saw it necessary. and she did.

and the air nomads punished her for it.

because they were still a living and thriving culture that could hold their own accountable.

while the rest of the world held her in high regard for her efforts, even in death, there were those from her culture that wouldn’t let her deeds go unpunished on the permanent record.

aang doesn’t have that.

he can do whatever he wants and the rest of the world wouldn’t care. no one will ever hold him accountable for his cultural missteps so he has to. that’s why it’s important to aang to hold himself to his beliefs. to keep his people and culture alive.

do you ever watch celebrities talk about being famous? how they know they have legions of fans that will praise them no matter what? and how terrifying that is to them? how important family is to them? because those are the people that keep them grounded. do you line what that feels like? to be inherently famous and have no one left in your family to keep you grounded? to be a human that’s only ever seen as a god?

no, you don’t. i don’t. but that is the life aang lives.

it’s why people who complain about the finale are annoying. it’s why people using yangchen to downplay his choice is also annoying. and it’s why people acting like yangchen had nothing to lose are extremely annoying. because her choices cost her a lot. and it hurt her. because she loved her people too.

FOUND THIS ON AVATAR REDDIT

I just read Avatar: The Next Shadow last night and I came across this frame in the comic, where Arvok is being told by his mother that he could seek refuge with "other clans, out there in the ashes."

Apparently, There are many "Ash clans" just like there are many ocean clans.

And the Ash clans are special because either they are people who have been outcasted from their former clans for various reasons, or they are clans that don't judge your past, and accept you irrespective of it. Its what you do in the future that matters.

I wonder if they are considered "bad" by other Na'vi because they are just different from others in their not judging past wrongs, and could thus be outcasts.

And outcasts doesn't mean bad either just like sweet Payakan. Oh man i wonder if Payakan was just a glimpse of what can get you outcasted in Pandora.

And this just proves the theory that Quaritch is going to be a part of these clans if not a full clan member.

It feels extremely canon at this point.

But also, What if they become Quaritch's allies , and storm Bridgehead (and maybe other human outposts in Pandora), And Quaritch takes over Bridgehead but not in a "I'm completely on the Na'vi side" but more like "i have my own agenda".

Your admiration for him got in the way and now he was the one admiring you. Blade to your throat, pretty face covered in the liquid that Ethan yearned for.

“l used to think I was smart. But you made me look so naive”

You felt so dumb, stupid. Love blinded your vision and now that you wiped your eyes it burned, bad. “There were so many signs y/n, come on” Sam shook her head “The attack? The masks? Don’t tell me you didn’t think something was up” Sam cried as Quinn slashed her arm, holding down the bloody wound. “No…” your eyes looked exhausted, too tired to fight Ethan off of you.

“The way you sold me for parts. As you sunk your teeth into me”

You squirmed as Ethan bit down on your shoulder, a loud and agonizing scream coming from your lips. “You know I like the taste of blood” Ethan mumbled, spitting out the chunk of skin he had bit from your shoulder. “What the fuck?” You felt woozy, absolutely out of it. The sight of blood made your vision blurry, feeling yourself drop to the ground.

he shoves your shoulder carefully making sure not to harm you. looking over you meet his perfect brown eyes.

"speaking about girls, have anyone special your'e talking to?"

"uh no one at the moment, but there is this one girl, this one very pretty girl i like."

you peer up at him through your eyelashes. you two lock eyes, but instead of keeping it ethan looks away.

“and who is this mystery girl?”

ethan paused, "well - uh i don't think i want to tell you."

grabbing his hand you smooth your finger back and forth. ethan knew that he could trust you with secrets but not when he liked you.

"come on ethan! you know you can trust me with anything."

"okay. promise that you won't get mad and tell anyone," raising your pinky you lock it with his. it might've been childish but you know ethan would feel somewhat safe. you position yourself to be laying down next to ethan. the two of your were facing each other, lying there inches away from one another.

"i am completely in love with you. i have been for awhile and i don't think you ever noticed. i know you and chad were a thing but i didn't think it would be weird but-"

you put your hand over his mouth, "ethan calm down."

"sorry."

"ethan, im really flattered but you know this wouldn't work."

"what," a tear streamed down his cheek.

"hey, hey please don't cry," you lifted your arm to wipe his tear. instead of him letting you he swatted your hand away.

"don't touch me."

you could feel your heart break when he kept crying, "ethan, its not you. i'm going to hurt you and you know that. don't get me wrong you're a great person but this, this will not work out."

"get out of my house."

"ethan, calm do-"

"i said get out of my fucking house," this time he spoke with pure anger.

"okay," gathering your bag, phone, and water you find your way to the door. you hear a glass shatter making you flinch. walking back to your dorm you wished that you never pushed him. deep down ethan knew that you weren't good for him.
