Ace fwends, where y’all at?
Any ace peeps between 24-29, I’m 26, are welcome to DM me. If you’re a minor, DNI.
I’ve identified as asexual since March of 2019. I first discovered the word, possibly through Instagram, as well as AVEN.
Since then, I found the more specific word Apothisexual (sex repulsed), to perfectly describe my sexuality.
I hope to make more ace friends, and hope eventually down the line, to date a tall, nerdy ace guy.

What is Asexuality or Low Sexual Desire ? It is a sexual orientation characterized by a lack of sexual attraction or interest in sexual activity with others.
What to do about it?
𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭 𝐚 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥: They can help identify potential causes and recommend appropriate interventions.
𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐲: Sex therapy or couples therapy can be beneficial in addressing psychological and relational aspects contributing to low sexual desire.

howdy! so i don’t really know my sexuality, but i think girls are aesthetically pleasing, i want a relationship at some point, but probably no sex. what would that be called? you don’t have to answer if you don’t want to! thank you so much!!
Hi,
So what you’re describing is pretty much a homoromantic asexual! Which is actually really common.
You can find more information on the AVEN website it’s a forum for asexual people of all types and all ages!
Hope this helped.

So in class this week, I was wearing my asexual flag bracelet like I usually do, and I was talking to some kid about taking my final. I was really nervous and was asking him what exactly we had to do for the final, it was a spoken german final. He said “It’s really easy! I did pretty okay, but I’m sure you’ll ACE IT!” and pointed to my bracelet with a huge grin.
That was literally the first time anyone had actually noticed my bracelet and I was so happy.
Plus I did ace the test, which is a bonus ;)

Welcome to The Ace Diaries.
I’m sure the title covers the basics as to what this blog will entail but I would like to do a short introduction before delving into the recesses of my mind and the intrusive thought I have.
My name is Rose, I am currently studying art and computer programming at university. I grew up in a very small upper-middle class area and pretty much maintained the same small friend group throughout much of my schooling until uni. I have traveled to several countries and it is a love I would like to continue to pursue regardless of where any potential career takes me.
I am a twin but my brother and I don’t have much of relationship. I tell people that we have nothing in common and just don’t mesh well. I wish that wasn’t the case but that's beside the point! We are incredibly competitive and just get under each other's skin a lot.
It took me until getting into university to find my “people”, they allowed me to grow and accept different aspects of myself that I never explored or openly admitted.
So for the asexual part, I always felt a bit different in high school when it came to crushes. I never really understood why some of my peers were so intrigued(?) with sex. I had a couple crushes in middle and high school, both of which lasted about 2ish years. They weren’t really a secret and I definitely elevated them in my mind to an ideal rather than seeing them as the flawed human being that everyone else was. I started questioning my sexuality around 17 or 18 years old, at first I just thought that I had just incredibly high standards. I read so many books, that somewhere in my heart I couldn't consider a guy unless he had that spark I always read about. I also thought that maybe I was bi. That maybe that was the reason why I didn’t feel this “attraction” toward men that seemed to be sort of absent. I told my friends this idea that I was questioning my sexuality and they all just laughed saying that there was no way I liked women.
It was a very confusing time, it felt like I lacked the support to get through those decisions even if they were a decision only I could make for myself. It took me a few more years and a boyfriend later to actually figure out that I was indeed asexual. I had a few close friends that knew but believed I was a gray-ace but even that wasn’t true.
As of today, three days shy of my twenty-first birthday, I am an asexual who is borderline sex-repulsed, heteroromantic, and just struggling with all these things. I have only just started looking into the Ace Community to find support from people who entirely get what I am dealing with. It has spurred me on to making this diary blog. It will be oversharing and very personal but I hope that this at least helps someone else with their own pathfinding endeavors.
Every name I will use is going to be changed to protect some privacy and will (hopefully) have some continuity.
