002. SIGN OF THE TIMES.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hi ! this is my SECOND ever doc template, yes I did come back for round two, and i’m very proud of it <3. I worked pretty hard on this doc, trying a lot of new things out. if you are planning on using this doc ( blushing ) please do not remove the credits.
・the link to the doc can be found in the source link! ・sign of the times is a new york times themed doc with certain layouts taken directly from the new york times website! ( https://www.nytimes.com/ ) a prime example of this being the first page of the doc! it has a black and white color palette as well that can be altered with different pictures and different colors of font! ・the doc itself is roughly 6 pages and consists of character synopsis, basic information, appearance, appearance description, personality, personality description, backstory, 11 connections with brief descriptions and 3 word descriptions and many bullets for extra notes or headcanons! ・it also has room for 15 different pictures of your character and 11 pictures for connections! ・sign of the times is not a mobile friendly doc. it just looks funky and overlaps a lot on mobile. also, there are several google drawings that are not accessible for mobile users! ・the faceclaim shown on the doc is @selenagomez on instagram ・likes and reblogs are SO appreciated, thank you SO much for your support!               - quickly, i’d like to regard the title “The New York Times”         - i fully understand if you want to change the title to something else ! but to do so, you’ll have to use an outside source.          - you’ll have to find a website that offers the new york times font for download. ( I used https://www.fontspace.com/category/new-york-times )         - type in what you want your title to be, download the image or screenshot it and then replace the image on the doc itself !         - i know its inconvenient, and i’m so sorry ! if you’re unable to do it, contact me and we’ll work it out!
again, this is only my 2nd ever doc template ! i’m still learning the route of things and how to utilize doc’s in the best way. with that aside, i’d like to thank all of you for the great response i got on my last doc and my 1st doc, claremont st. it was so motivating and i am so so so appreciative! if you do have any suggestions or questions, feel free to DM me ! this can either be on tumblr, or on discord. my @ is rxcya#7080. with that being said, here is sign of the times, a doc by RXCYA 7.28.23

We're All Fired Up!!
Tumblr media
Hey everyone!
The Guild Awards are back for the second term of 2023! We hope everyone had a wonderful summer! Thank you to those who participated last term for making it so enjoyable. We look forward to all the new fanfiction and fanart to be nominated for this term.
Shout out to @pencilofawesomeness for creating last term's banners! If you haven't received yours, please reach out to one of the mods asap!
Our roulette category for this term is Best Classic Fanfiction. This is defined as: A work of fanfiction that was last updated prior to the 2 year time frame that is believed to be of high quality and established value. It does not have to be completed, but completion may be appreciated.
As a reminder, there is a Winner Ban in place. This means that once any piece of artwork or fanfiction has won an award for a category, it automatically becomes ineligible and cannot be nominated again for that category. However, it can be nominated for other categories after two consecutive terms have passed (ie: one year since that piece won) as long as it fits within that definition. We do not have a rule against nominating an author/artist back into the category they won for in the past, as long as its a different piece of work that is being nominated.
In addition, we are also going to have a mobile-friendly Google Doc with all current nominations listed. This will be updated as frequently as possible so you can be aware of all the nominations that have currently been reviewed and notified. Hopefully this will help everyone select their own nominations. You can access this doc here.
If it was not mentioned above, chances are it hasn’t changed. Please be aware that the moderators always take suggestions regarding how the awards are run and category changes into consideration. You can read up on the most recent FAQs, Rules of Eligibility, and Categories for more information. [these links are only available on desktop]
For ease of access, we also include a mobile-friendly Google Docs for the FAQs, Rules of Eligibility, and Categories that will be kept up-to-date each term, which can be viewed here.
The Second Term 2023 Nomination Period will begin October 1st and will end October 31st. Please send in your nominations through the submit button. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to send in an ask or reach out to one of the mods!
Don’t forget we also have a discord that is open to everyone!
Mods: @classysassy9791, @kiliinstinct, @phoenix-before-the-flame, @ratretro, @phoeneboxfairy
Please reblog and spread the word of the start of the new term!

0 . 11 BRUISER
my life blew up in my face and is quite the disaster, but hey at least the doc is pretty. one i've used for my own character, this is a rather basic document template that is six pages long with tables, drawings and various fonts and graphics all made using google docs' funky features.
trying to change the layout of my tumblr too, but it's honestly more difficult to figure out than docs.
this template was inspired by 24H by Seventeen! + ) : document is in the source link! + ) : do not remove my credit! please + ) : please like, reblog, and hit the bell! it's very much appreciated. + ) : to use please enter the doc ( link included in source ) -> ғɪʟᴇ -> ᴍᴀᴋᴇ ᴀ ᴄᴏᴘʏ   + ) : my discord is @ᴄᴀᴅᴇɴᴄᴇ#𝟿𝟻𝟿𝟺 but feel free to pm me on tumblr as i'm coming off a break from discord
two things: 1) to add to the doc thief conversation, someone stole my first ever template CALL ME YOURS and damn they took the name too literally. removed my credit, changed out only some of the images and threatened to report me on discord and here before blocking me and kicking me from their server. last time i checked, their tag was 【 𝒂𝒑𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒅𝒊𝒕𝒆 】#7497. i think they stopped using my template, but they blocked me and told everyone i had harassed and defamed them so how would i know. anyways, don't steal from people you care about.
Also, at least in my case, some innocent people were thrown under the bus, accused of stealing when in reality they were misled. don't do this to yourself or people you care about.
2) i said i'd do a giveaway soon, and then i fell off the earth, i'll do a giveaway when i hit 100 followers! so uh, keep your notifs on! thanks a bunch.

Chapter 13
The chirps of crickets echoed across a golden wheat field that swayed as it followed the winds beckoning, you slowly inhaled the fresh air and kicked your dangling feet as you sat on the fence beside the silo watching as eagles circled the sky. It was a cool day which was a nice break from the constant heat waves beating down the land; you squinted as you focused in on some menacing grey clouds in the distance, they were bloated with rain and began to roll over the horizon, a storm was sure to follow them. You hear some footsteps behind you and a long sigh followed, Luda Mae came up next to you and leaned over the fence, a dirt-stained rag in her hands.
“Looks like we better get them cows and chickens inside the barn soon, or they’ll wander off.” She looks up at you and wrinkles her eyebrows upward,
“You alright hun?” she asks.
You look down next to her and push a weak smile, “I’m still a bit shaken up but, I think I’ll be ok.”
She rubs your back and looks towards the dark clouds, “He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” She steps away and walks off towards the chicken pen.
You smirk at Luda Mae’s seemingly random religious quote, -are we the righteous ones in this situation? I don’t feel very righteous- You hop off the fence and follow her to see if she needs help with the chickens. As you look inside you see Charlie opening up the gates to the cow stalls, he looks up at you and smiles, saying,
“Hey girly, how’s your face feelin’ ?”
You press your hand to your cheek, it’s been 6 days since Dover’s attack on the family and your face was strangely doing well, though it was still somewhat sore.
You shrug your shoulders, “Physically better… at least.”
He chuckles to himself and pulls the last gate open, “You still bothered by that shit stain dyin?”
You nod, “Well, a little… I didn’t want anybody getting hurt and… poor Thomas”. You actually felt worse about Tommy experiencing a traumatic event, and seeing him act so animalistically after didn’t help ease your mind.
Charlie walked up to you, “Dover had it comin’ kid, was nothin’ but self-defense that’s all, ain’t nothin’ to get all soft about.” He puts his hand on his hips and points at you with his other hand,
“And don’tchu worry none ‘bout Tommy, he heals up real fast, ain’t nothin’ gon take him out ‘cept maybe a got’damn freight train, n’ even then…that boy ain’t right.” Charlie looked off into the distance as he got lost in his thoughts.
But it wasn’t Tommy’s physical wellbeing you worried about, it was his mind. Charlie shook his head to snap himself out of his trance and gave your shoulder three pats,
“S’gon’ be alright sweetheart, with you ‘round, that big sentient chunk o’ meat’ll never suffer.” He smirked then walked out the other side of the barn towards the meadow.
Luda Mae came in the barn, her hair all out of place,
“Lord, those chickens are heathens. They give me such a hard time whenever I herd ‘em in the coop.” she was breathing heavily and slouched over to hold her knees in an attempt to catch her breath,
“Was Charlie in here? He needs to go help Thomas with them cows.”
You nod and tell her he went out towards the meadow just now, she stands up straight and reaches her hand out to you,
“C’mon dear, lets get inside then, get some rest before supper. The boys’ll come in when their done.”
You take her hand and she walks with you up to the kitchen entrance, you hear some rolling thunder in the distance and the sky was already a deep grey. You stand on the porch and look out towards the meadow; you see Tommy and Charlie guiding the cows as they slowly lumbered closer to the meadow gate. Tommy looks up and see’s you, he waves and continues moving the cattle to safety. The wind was stronger now, you could see the large trees near the house tossing their branches around. As soon as you see the last cow pushed into the barn you go inside the kitchen, you shiver from the cold wind stealing your heat.
Luda Mae calls to you from the parlor, when you get there, you see her flopped lazily onto one of the armchairs,
“Come n’ take a rest hun, the boys’ll join us when they get in.” she spoke without opening her eyes, her head was leaning back and her arms dangling off the sides of the arm rests.
You sit on the love seat and slump down a bit, you felt a little cold and looked around for a throw blanket to put over your shoulders, you say to Luda Mae,
“I can’t believe how cold it’s become, I never thought I would finally feel chilly.” You were usually used to sub-zero weather back home but your body was climatizing to the heat quickly which made you feel the drop in temperature more intensely.
Luda Mae laughs, “Oh yes, sometimes it gets real cold out here. Theres a blanket behind that there pillow.” She points to the large pillow on the seat next to you.
You scoot over and find a rolled up blanket made of cotton, it was soft to the touch but had a musty smell from living behind the pillow and unused for so long -well, it’s the best I have for now I guess.- you unfurl it and drape it over your body.
Just as you started warming up, Charlie and Tommy entered the house, they both kicked off their boots haphazardly while Luda Mae rolled her eyes at their carelessness. Charlie came and sat in the other empty armchair, he let out a long groan as he bent his knees to sit. Tommy came and sat gently next to you, he lifted his arms and rested them on the back of the loveseat, you felt his hand reach down to tickle your shoulder which made you blush, he looked at you and winked then looked back at Luda Mae who sat up and began to fix her hair.
“Well seems we got a bit of a storm headin’ our way huh.” She glances at Charlie who just grunts in agreement, he lifts his head and looks at you,
“Y’cold or somethin’?” he smirks.
You nod quietly, Tommy looks down at you and tilts his head to the side as he inspects the blanket you have on, Charlie continues to speak,
“Well look what’s next to you.” He points at Tommy, “He’s a walkin’ heater, best use his warmth up.” He meets eyes with Tommy and nods in your direction, “Boy, don’t be shy now, warm the girl up fer fucks sake.”
Tommy sits up straight and grabs you, hoisting your body effortlessly onto his lap. He was so quick you didn’t even have time to react, you just sat there looking up at him as he held you in his arms; Tommy’s body heat was warming you up quickly, you wanted to curl up and purr like a cat with how comfortable you were. He placed the blanket over you and relaxed his muscles a bit, you leaned your head on his chest and closed your eyes, it was too comfortable to stay awake.
You fell asleep quickly but were still able to hear bits of conversation from the Hewitts as you dreamt, the slow heaving of Tommys chest was lulling you into a deep sleep. You mind created a scene of peace, you and the Hewitts were all gathered around a large table, your old, passed friend was there and so was Tilly. There was a large breadth of food stacked onto the table and fairy lights surrounded you all as the sun set. You watched as they all laughed and chatted together, then Charlie stood up and clinked his glass. He said some things that you didn’t hear, you turned and saw Tommy in a grooms suit, he watched Charlie and listened to the mumbled words.
You looked down at yourself and saw that you were in a wedding dress, Tommy took your hand and kissed it. He got up from his chair and wandered off into the woods, you got up and followed him calling out for him to come back. You finally caught up to him, he turns to look at you but his eyes are white and he is covered in blood breathing heavily, his mask was off revealing a mutation of large teeth sharp like a wolf.
Tumblr media
You scream and run away from him, as he chases you, the sound of growling and rumbling could be heard. You trip on your dress and you are grabbed and roughly flipped over, its Dover, he is growling at you making you scream.
You feel shaking and wake up, still in Tommys arms, the sounds of rolling thunder coming into the house from the storm. Tommy looks at you with a worried expression, Luda Mae calls over to you,
“Were you havin’ a bad dream hun?” she is sitting upright and holding her glasses close to her eyes to see you clearly.
You rub your eyes and reply,
“Yeah, sorry, I guess I’m still getting over the Dover situation…”
Luda Mae adds, “That’s gon’ take some time to heal dear. I’m so sorry we didn’t get him dealt with sooner. We shoulda been more careful.”
You see her look down at the floor, visibly upset at your mental pain. Charlie gets up from his chair and says,
“You just need to get more confident sweetheart.” He stops and rubs his chin then adds, “You know what? Tommy should show you how t’fight! If you can learn somethin’ ‘bout fightin’ back, then you won’t be feelin’ like a victim so bad.”
You didn’t appreciate the ignorant statement about ‘feeling like a victim’ since you literally were being victimized by Dover, but you thought to yourself -he does have a point, I really don’t know how to protect myself, maybe it will give me a sense of safety- You look up at Tommy who is still looking down at you as he held you close,
“It couldn’t hurt to try. Would you be willing to teach me?”
He shifts his eyes, he was unsure about how effective he could be, and he was also crestfallen at the fact that you would even need to learn such things. He wanted to be the thing stopping any and all danger, he wanted to be a protective barrier for you. He looked back at you and nodded, despite him wanting to be your guard, he knew he wouldn’t always be around you 24/7 and that you should be able to experience strength for yourself.
Luda Mae got up off her chair and spoke,
“Now’s the perfect time to do it, what with the storm goin’ on outside, you two might as well go downstairs and practice while I start on dinner.” She walked up to Tommy and spoke under her breath, “Now you watch your strength, Thomas. Teach her good n’ fair.”
Tommy nodded to her and gently placed you off his lap and onto the seat beside him, he got up and held his hand out to you while giving a directional nod towards the basement door. You got up and took his hand, the both of you walked down to the basement together.
-
Tommy brought you into the room next to the bathroom on the right side after you get to the bottom of the stairs. This room had that creepy big furnace in it and weeds covering the small windows which made it exceptionally dark. Tommy found the light switch and flipped it on revealing the mess of junk and old furniture with storage boxes clamored around. The floor was made from old wood planks where you could see the foundation underneath, you watched as Tommy pushed away a bunch of junk to make room for you both. He unfurled a thick rug to act as a wrestling mat so you wouldn’t get hurt from the floor.
He looked at you and said,
“I dunno much, but, ah could teach ya how t’get out of some holds I s’pose” you nod and wait for instruction.
He gently puts one of his arms around your neck and holds one of your arms behind your back with his free hand. He instructs you on how to get out of it by dropping your body weight downwards to slip out of the hold. You successfully get out of the hold and he helps you up to try again. Each time you succeeded he tightened his grip. You couldn’t help but feel giddy about his massive bicep hugging your head, if it were anyone else you would be terrified but because you trusted him, it was an oddly erotic experience.
Tumblr media
After a few more types of holds were shown to you, he then instructed you on a proper way to make a fist and how to punch with good technique. As you make a fist, he inspects the placement of your fingers and gently moves them into the correct position, you make a new fist which he inspects then gives a thumbs up.
“Now, I want ya t’punch me as hard as y’can” he gives you a serious look. You were taken aback by the request, you say,
“No way, I don’t want to hurt you!”
He starts laughing, you feel confused,
“Why are you laughing? I don’t wanna make you feel pain, even if it’s just practice.”
He looks at you, his eyes still squished upward from smiling,
“No offense er nothin’ but, I don’t think yer strong enough t’give my body pain. Which’s why I need ya t’punch me hard as ya can, so I can see what I’m workin’ with.”
You forgot how unbelievably strong this beast before you really was. You realized how silly it may have come off thinking you could even scratch him. Feeling less powerful than Tommy didn’t make you feel as scared or helpless as when you were made to feel weak from regular men, every time you mentioned to men you knew that you wanted to try self-defense, they would bombard you with demeaning words, saying ‘no woman is stronger than a man, self-defense is useless’.
Tommy was different than them, instead of trying to tear you down for trying to protect yourself, he encouraged you and helps out. He wanted you to feel powerful like him, but most importantly, he wanted you to feel safe and confident on your own.
Tommy stood up straight, rising to his full height, his head almost hitting the ceiling. He pointed at the center of his stomach and said,
“Hit here as hard as ya can.”
You widen your stance and pull back your fist then thrusting it forward using all of your muscle, the hit connected but Tommy didn’t even flinch or budge. It was like punching steel covered in a thick layer of rubber, he was built so solid it was no wonder he didn’t care how hard you hit.
He relaxed himself a little bit and put his hand to his chin,
“That was, a real good hit. If I were anyone else, that might’ve hurt. Good Job”
Tommy then tells you he wants you to try some floor holds. He moves to the floor and you follow, he mounts over your back and gently holds your arm and neck. Once again you feel excitement at his body being so close to yours, he instructs you on how to escape the hold and you succeed with each try.
The final hold you were to get out of managed to land you on top of Tommys chest, he leaned his head back and said,
“I think that’s enough learnin’ for today.”
You laugh and steady yourself on him, your legs had to spread wide to be able to straddle him for stability though your knees were still unable to reach the floor. You smile as you look into his eyes, their deep blue penetrates through the dim light of the basement. He lets out a relaxed sigh and runs his hands up your thighs to reach your hips were he gently holds onto you; You remained silent, there was nothing you could say, the trance he had over you was intoxicating.
He let out a deep hum and traced his eyes all over your form just drinking in your magnetic beauty, his mind was running rampant with primal thoughts of desire, he did well to control himself under the overwhelming pressure. Tommy felt a deep burning for you, a longing, he cherished spending time alone with you. To him, you were an oasis in a desert of torment and trauma, a glimmer of light in the dark pit of hell that is his mind.
When he tries to sit up, you press your hands into his chest and push him back down, his laugh muffled by his mask. You grin, knowing he is receptive to being a bit playful now, so you take the opportunity to make him squirm. He is holding his torso up with his arms pushing off the floor, looking up at you, it was an interesting sight to take in, you have this massive giant pinned down waiting for you to control the next move; You could feel your core heating up with the anticipation of what comes next. In an effort to torment him, you moved your hips further back so your groin lay on top of his.
His eyes changed expression, they were now half lidded and dilated, his eyebrows rolled up toward his forehead as if he were worried, but this was not worry, this was a begging plea for you to further push your salacious antics. You let your body weight press into him and sat comfortably on a dangerous area, as you gently rolled your hips in a subtle attempt to arouse him, his breath hitched and he leaned his head back closing his eyes. You looked on as he exposed his trunk-like neck, the pulsation of his heart beat was visible through his muscle; You grind your hips on him, it was a playful way to tell him what you wanted without asking, but he was too cautious and didn’t add in his own movements despite desperately wanting to.
His body couldn’t hide his desire and you quickly felt your tenderness being pressed into by a stone-like presence. He was erect to the fullest extent and you didn’t need to look down to see the pipelines length that you were seated on, you could feel it. He let out a strained sigh that ended with a barely audible whimper, you knew he was enjoying the suffering, he wanted to badly to get inside the enigma of a woman that was you, he wanted to make the walls of your femininity flitter with release. He grabbed the sides of your hips and pushed your body to continue making the wave-like motions he craved so badly, you complied and enhanced the movements to see how far you could walk the line.
He was breathing heavy and was so focused on your expression to make sure he didn’t see any winces of pain or reluctance. He could feel the intense heat from between your legs which only fueled his actions further, he watched as your face reddened with blush, he was taken with the vision in front of him; A woman so kind and unique, so perfect, was seated on top of him, his bulging manhood was a pitiful three layers of cloth away from ecstasy. He could feel himself bubbling up inside, he knew what was coming so he stopped movement, he didn’t want to let his fluid touch you unless you told him you wanted it.
You feel his hands release your hips, and he remained still, his chest still heaving and a mist of sweat formed on his skin. It was jarring to have the fun stop so abruptly but you knew there was a reason, you just didn’t know what it was.
“Everything ok?” you asked.
He lay there with his hands to his side, staring up at the ceiling, he replied,
“It’s t’much fer me. Ah feel ready t’splode.”
You suppress a grin and lean over him, resting your torso on his chest and lay your head down on him with your hands folded in front of your face, you say,
“We don’t have to go further if you aren’t ready. I’m in no rush.”
He felt badly for seemingly ruining the fun, but he didn’t know how much more he could handle, he looks up at you and adds,
“Ah dunno if I can keep m’self held down when y’mess with me”
You smile at him and run your hand through his hair, you give him some gentle words,
“When the time is right, we’ll know, and when it comes, I want you to let loose.”
You knew he was trying to warn you about what he thinks he will do, but he didn’t know you were ready and willing to experience whatever may come, even if it could put you in danger, you didn’t care, you just wanted to let go and be free and wild with him. He put his arms around you and squeezed your body into his, if this was a bear hug it could have been mistaken for a grizzly.
“I care ‘bout ya, y’know that?” his voice was deep and serious.
You put both your hands on the sides of his head and pull his face in, and say,
“I hope you know I feel the same about you.”
His eyes light up with joy and he sits up, lifting you with him, your legs still tight around his hips. Your body slid down right onto his erection which pressed into your mound with force as you sank,
“Ay Woah!“ you wince in pain.
he quickly lifted your body up off his stiffness and lowered you down behind it so you could sit on his lap.
“Ah dang sorry! Didn’t mean t’hurt y’there” he was full of concern, he briefly forgot how long he kept firm for.
You blush and let out a laugh,
“It’s ok, guess I’m gonna have to prepare for that.”
He was surprised at your reaction, he thought for sure you would be put off by his size and hardness, he was told by Charlie on numerous occasions that women were scared of ‘big dicks’ and that he’d be lucky to even graze up against a ‘kitty’. No matter what you may say to him, he was still so sure that when the time came, you would not even attempt, so he kept his hopes low and chose to just enjoy the fun while it lasted.
You look down at the thing that poked your lower region, you could see a massive bulge shooting up into his jeans. The length of it shocked you but the real surprise was how strong it was, it seemed like his pants would rip open from pressure. You couldn’t help but reach out to touch it, you place your hand on the tip and slide downward to feel its entirety. Thomas gasped but didn’t stop you, he just watched wondering what would come next.
You smirk to yourself, it felt like you were touching a metal pipe, you traversed his length again to feel how thick it was, you weren’t able to fully gauge its circumference so you put your hands on his pant zipper but stopped abruptly,
“Can I… look?” you spoke in a breathy tone.
Thomas nods slowly, you unbutton the top of his jeans and unzip the crotch, his penis bounces upward, still covered by his black boxer briefs. You gently pull him out of confinement, it was emitting a lot of heat and warms your hand as you wrap your fingers around it. The width is beyond what your single hand could grasp, your fingers had almost 3 inches of space between fingertips.
You got off his lap and sat in a kneeling position in front of him so you could better see what you were dealing with. Tommy was breathing heavily, every touch from your hands made him inhale sharply and his penis twitched with anticipation. You used both hands to feel all over his manhood, large veins trailed around the base, he had a large glans, the ‘neck’ protected by a short layer of skin which pulled back revealing the bright pink tip. You saw a bead of pre-cum already forming at the opening, with a gentle tap, you touched it and pulled back with it stretching and leaving a glimmering trail from tip to finger.
Tumblr media
To your surprise, he didn’t have a smell, most men you interacted with had some sort of musk or skin smell to them, but he had an earthy scent to him like he was working with plants all day. This just made you want to taste him badly, you had to know what flavor his desire was, so you started to lean down towards it, you saw his eyes widen quickly but he didn’t move an inch.
You gave it a soft lick on the tip, he let out a stifled moan and his cock twitched so forcefully that you lost grip of it.
“Is this ok?” you ask earnestly.
He nods enthusiastically, so you continue your torturous licks making sure to hold firmly so he wouldn’t slip away again. The head of his penis was large and had a pronounced lip, the kind of shape capable of friction that your G-spot would feel so intensely. His shaft was almost as long as your forearm and had a hefty underside which would have weighed it down if he didn’t seem to have such strong pelvic muscles.
You felt desperate to have him inside you, his dick was not only impressive but curved slightly upwards and the curiosity of how it would feel in you was driving you wild. You could feel a slick form in your folds causing your hole to twitch in anticipation. Your licks became more aggressive until you decided to put your mouth around the tip of his cock, Tommy let out a whimper then groaned as you began to suck. The expression in his eyes was glorious, you saw his eyes roll upwards before he closed them and leaned his head back exposing his gorgeous thick neck.
You began to slowly bob your head up and down, getting as much of him inside your mouth as you could handle, you positioned your tongue underneath the base of his head to accept more inside. Tommy was now a moaning mess, every flick of your tongue or squeeze of your mouth made him louder. You could feel he was ready to cum because his penis began to pulsate and his legs tensed up.
You removed his dick from your mouth and rubbed with your hands quickly, you were excited to see how much he was capable of making. With a few more movements he clenched his teeth and grunted loudly; a bright white liquid came shooting out of him. You gasped as you watched the cum explode out of him in thick ropes, you never seen someone cum so much and so hard in your life, he quickly grabbed his cock and aimed it away from you while still groaning with his orgasm.
You were surprised how much was still flowing out, it shimmered as it seeped into the rug beneath you both, he was panting heavily as the last few spurts pushed out onto the ground before him. Once the ejaculate stopped, he flopped onto his back trying to catch his breath. You crawled up to him and lay next to him, he put his arm around you and lifted you up towards his face.
“Yer a real vixen, gettin’ me bent outta shape.”
You laugh, “You’re fun to play with”
He places you next to him and sits up putting his dick back in his pants, he turns to look at you,
“I didn’t… make a mess on ya did I?”
You shake your head and smile, he continues,
“Good. I never had no one do that t’me” he stands up, “I hope it didn’t scare ya none”
He held out his hand to help you up, you reply,
“Nope. Now I just want more”
You both hear Luda Mae call out for you both that dinner was ready, Tommy walks with you out to the stairwell leading up to the main floor. He stops you with both hands, he bends down to look you in the eyes,
“I’m gon start messin’ with y’now. Ya had yer fun, now I’m gon’ show you how it feels” His voice was a deep whisper, he kept his hands firmly on your arms and stood up straight, you give a devilish smirk,
“Ive been waiting for you to say that”
He releases his grip, and watched as you walked up the stairs with a smug swagger. He was excited to play this erotic cat and mouse game with you, now he was going to have some real fun giving you the ache of desire with nothing to do about it.
He spoke quietly to himself,
“She’s gon’ kill me”
He grins and follows up the stairs after you.

Alterhumanity and Autism (Script)
During my panel at this year's Othercon, I said that I would publicly post my panel's script, and my survey's results onto my tumblr, for easy archival purposes! (There is no way to submit Google Docs to archive.org that I'm aware of...)
This is the panel's script! What I said before the QnA part of the panel. Once the panel recording is uploaded, I'll reblog with the link to it, as well! The results for the survey will also be posted to this account shortly.
Here is the blurb that I originally wrote for the panel, on the schedule:
"This panel aims to explore the relationship between autism and alterhumanity, by looking at the history, the modern autistic community and what real alterhumans have to say on the topic. Why it is that neurodivergency is seemingly so common in the alterhuman community? Is it correlation, causation, or perhaps something in between?"
And, below is the script itself!
Hi, everyone! I am so excited to be speaking at Othercon this year and I hope everyone else is enjoying the 'con so far. My name is Azure! You may also call me Bede, as I answer to both. I like he/him, she/her and bun/buns pronouns, and I am a multitude of things! I am a demon (a fallen angel if you wanna get technical), and my main fictotype is, you'll never guess who based off my names, Bede from Pokemon. Shoutout to any Pokemonkin listening. I've been active in the alterhuman community for around 5 years now, and was the head and sole mod of ‘From Fictionkind’, which is a zine released in 2022, aiming to explore the experiences of those who have a fiction-based identity. If you are interested, you can download it here. (Send link)
I am a grab bag of disorders and disabilities, most of which I won't list, but what is relevant to this panel is that I am, in fact, autistic. Not only that, but I have done, by all metrics, way too much research into autism, and I am an autistic activist!
To preface: although this panel is going to specifically namedrop and talk about autism a lot, I am sure that a lot of different beings can relate to what I am going to talk about today. Not just other neurodivergencies and disabilities, either. Much of what I am going to be talking about today could resonate with any oppressed being's experiences. I welcome all discussion about the similarities of different experiences with open arms!
But, for the sake of transparency, I am not very good at talking off the cuff. So I am going to spend the bulk of this panel reading from a pre-prepared script. If anyone is interested in a transcript, it is available on Google Docs for viewing! I will send it in the panel chat right now, so that anyone who needs to may read along, for word-processing purposes. (Send link) This also means that I am not going to be looking at the chat a whole lot, so if there's something you'd particularly like for me to see, I encourage you to hold it until the end so that I can be sure to see it and give it the thought and recognition that it deserves. All this being said, I still will be looking at the chat occasionally.
To prepare for this panel, I took a survey polling autistic alterhumans, which was taking responses from March 7th to July 1st, so around 4 months. I was hoping for about maybe 90 participants, but that number was blown out of the water with over 500 responses!! I will be going over those results later on in the panel, and will also be referencing the anonymous freeform responses.
The very last point of my preamble here is to warn that this panel may not be suitable for all audiences. This lecture contains extended discussion of ableism, and, while I try to keep the mentions brief, there will be specific talk of disabled folks, including children, being hurt. If you're unable to handle that at this time, that is absolutely fine. Take care of yourself and have a great con!
This panel aims to explore the relationship between autism and alterhumanity, by looking at the history, the modern autistic community and what real alterhumans have to say on the topic. I hope to, perhaps not explain, but look into why it is that neurodivergency is seemingly so common in the alterhuman community, and whether it's because of correlation, causation, or perhaps something in between.
Now, let's start off with a question and feel free to try and guess: What do fairies, aliens, and crystals all have in common? Do we have any guesses?
The correct answer is that all 3 of these things have been used to try and claim autistic children are nonhuman!
Let's get into the specifics, starting from the top with fairies.
The changeling is a form of fairy found in European folklore. Also referred to as an "oaf" historically, a changeling is a fairy that is left in the place of an identical human child, when they are stolen away by other fairies. This is to say, parents believed that their human child was being replaced by an identical fairy child. There were multiple tricks that were thought to fend this off. When you believe you already have a changeling, though... There were less ways to go about that. Historical records and tales about changelings unfortunately imply that the solution chosen for a changeling child was often times infanticide.
Many modern psychologists now believe that most tales of changelings developed in an attempt to explain disabled children. This includes, but is not limited to, deformities, Down syndrome, Williams syndrome, cerebral palsy, and, of course, autism. The fact that boys are more often born with birth defects lines up with the touted belief that boys were more likely to be taken by fairies.
Furthermore, see "regressive autism". This so-called phenomena occurs when a child appears to develop, quote-unquote, "normally", until they start showing symptoms of autism in their later years. Now, what actually happens in these cases is that they never noticed their child's autistic traits until those later years. But the fact that there is still a name for this sudden perceived shift in an autistic child shows the sheer amount of cases there are like this, even today. Now, imagine how bad it was hundreds of years ago, before we even had a word for autism. This "sudden shift" perspective very much parallels the supposed markings of your child being replaced by a changeling.
Second verse, same as the first: aliens. Although the term "starseed" has been picked up in the alterhuman community as a way to describe one's self as an alien, "starseeds", or "star children", didn't originate in the alterhuman community. Their existence is a theory put forth by Brad Seiger in his 1976 book, titled "Gods of Aquarius". It posits that some humans originated as extraterrestrials, and arrived on Earth through either birth or by taking over an existent human body.
Generally agreed-upon signs that you or someone you love is a starseed, according to believers, include that person feeling like they don't belong, being hyperempathetic (which is a sign of autism, despite what the stereotypes would have you believe), introversion, and... Actually, I'm going to quote this in its entirety. In "What Is A Starseed & 50 Clear Signs You Are One", published by The Spirit Nomad, the first listed sign is, quote, "You are highly sensitive. You easily feel overwhelmed and drained when you are in a place with many people and with intense stimuli – like shopping malls, clubs, and networking events. You might also be sensitive to stimulants like coffee, alcohol and even dark chocolate." Endquote.
You think I'm joking about these things just listing autism symptoms. I'm not!
Finally... Crystals. Crystal children and indigo children are both believed to be sort of the next step in scientific evolution, according to New Age circles. More specifically, crystal children are the newest generation, while indigo children were the first wave, from around the 70s to the 90s. I'll just be calling both of these 'waves' crystal children for the sake of simplicity, but know that they are just two waves of the same thing. Crystal children are believed to possess special or supernatural abilities, such as telepathy. Autistic children having telepathy, as we all know, is the plot of Mob Psycho 100.
Signs that your child is a crystal child include high empathy, being perceived as 'strange' by others or intelligent for their age (see the autistic gifted kid phenomenon), and being sensitive to the point of fussing in crowded spaces. It's also said that crystal children may struggle in socially conventional schools, because of their dislike of rigid authority, being smarter than their teachers, and their lack of response to guilt, fear, or manipulation-based discipline. (Read: indirect communication.)
It is actually a noted phenomenon that many parents, when confronted with a diagnosis like a learning disability, ADHD, or autism, will alternatively label their child as a crystal child. Autism researcher Mitzi Waltz noted this phenomenon, and spoke about it in a 2009 issue of The Journal of Religion, Disability & Health. He suggests that parents recategorize autistic symptoms as telepathic powers to attempt to reconceptualize these autistic traits as a part of a more conventionally positive identity. He also puts into words why this can be harmful, stating that parents could refuse to acknowledge their child's impairments, refuse accommodations, and, quote, "transmit belief systems to the child that are self-aggrandizing, confusing, or potentially frightening." Endquote.
Believe it or not, there are actually MORE examples of myths or conspiracy theories that attempt to explain autistic children as nonhuman. But, I will leave it at those three.
Let's take a brief look into modern media now. Specifically, the "autistic-coded robot" trope. A lot of times, when humans try to write robots, or AI or such, they think that they can just take all essential things that make humanity what it is, and take away a few things. Make them not express empathy, they don't get nonliteral phrases, they obviously speak in monotone. We could sprinkle in a little bit of feeling out of place with humanity for flavor aaaand it's autistic. Your robot is autistic. To name some examples of this trope, think Data from Star Trek, or Zane from Ninjago.
This trope is more or less echoed, beat for beat, with the autistic-coded alien trope. Examples of this flavor of the trope include Peridot from Steven Universe, Spock from Star Trek, or, and I'm sorry for anyone who I'm about to violently throw back into 2016 with this, Keith from Voltron.
Because nonhumanity is so often linked to autistic beings by the culture around us, desiring to be nonhuman or connecting with nonhumanity is now a recognized part of autistic culture. We often feel out of place in neurotypical society. Join autistic spaces, and you’ll see jokes like, “What kind of nonhuman did you think you were as a kid?” (In case you’re wondering, the answer is werewolf for me.) Growing up thinking that the reason behind your autistic traits is because you are secretly nonhuman is a common experience. Jokes about desiring a tail and to purr often go viral within autistic spaces, because they are forms of natural and nonverbal communication that shows those around us that we are happy. The topic of nonhumanity within autistic culture is also talked about within professional settings, such as in Kim Duff’s speech, “The Role of Changeling Lore in Autistic Culture”, at the 1999 Autreat conference of Autism Network International.
There is also discussion of how autistic beings oftentimes connect with animals better than with humans. For example, Temple Grandin is an autistic animal behavioralist who has written extensively on how her being autistic helps her understand how animals feel. For example, she speaks in 2004’s, “Animals in Translation: Using the Mysteries of Autism to Decode Animal Behavior”, and in 1997’s “Thinking the Way Animals Do: Unique Insights from a Person with a Singular Understanding”.
In more modern times, we have the 2022 article, “How Autism Connects Me With Animals”, in which Emily Moran Barwick, writes, quote, “I knew how profoundly frustrating, isolating and demoralizing it was to be unable to convey what I wanted to convey. I knew how it felt to never be truly understood. And it broke my heart thinking of what non-human animals were experiencing at the hands of humans; that no matter how desperately and clearly they communicated their terror and pain, they were ignored and discounted.” Endquote.
All of these connections have led to the creation of subcultures created in an attempt to reclaim the dehumanization put onto us. To name one example, voidpunk is a subculture created by tumblr user arotaro in the 2010s, and more or less hinges on this idea. Key points of this subculture include the rejection of the norm, embracing nonhumanity, and comfort in the unknown. In the words of it’s creator, quote, “It’s not the same as otherkin because it’s not really like, “Ah yes, I am a cat/dragon/wolf/that one guy from Homestuck/etc.”, it’s not necessarily something specific, and it’s not necessarily literally believing you’re something other than human. It’s, well, punk. Society puts out a lot of messages about What It Means To Be Human (trademark) that can make a lot of people who don’t completely fit the bill feel lost, broken, alone, or like they’re doing something wrong; Voidpunk is about taking that message of “you’re not human”, making it your own, and throwing it back in society’s face. You say I’m not human? Sure, ok. That’s chill. Why does being Human (trademark) have to be a goal to aspire to anyway? What’s so great about humanity?” Endquote. She then goes on to specifically namedrop neurodivergents as one of the target audiences for the subculture, as well. She also later answers an ask to clarify, quote, “Someone who doesn’t face dehumanization cannot be voidpunk.” Endquote.
So, where does all of this information intersect with the notable number of autistic alterhumans? Well, that’s just the question, isn’t it? Is it possible that alterhuman identity may correlate with those who have identities and neurotypes which are demonized by society? After all, queer beings are common within alterhuman spaces, too. And, if there is a correlation, is there causation there, as well? There are already some terms coined to describe when alterhuman identity is caused or influenced by autistic traits; such as ‘otherspin’, a term for when one’s alterhuman identity is caused / influenced by special interests. Furthermore, ‘altervexo’ attempts to describe identifying as alterhuman out of spite for the dehumanization one has faced. However, to my knowledge, no term has been made or extensive talks had about, voluntary or nonvoluntary, alterhuman identity, as possibly having origins within dehumanization.
So, I set out to have that conversation. As stated at the start of this panel, I ran a survey, mostly promoted on tumblr, from March 7th to July 1st, posing questions to the autistic alterhuman community about their personal experiences, which got over 500 responses! 537, to be exact. I’d like to share the results of this survey with you now. The raw data collected is available here. (Send link) I will also be posting both the raw data, and the script for this panel, to my tumblr, @azuremist, but that’s mostly for easy archival purposes. Now, it’s NUMBERS TIME, baby!
I asked everyone to indicate if they agreed or disagreed with the statements I made. For the statement, “I believe that my autism has influenced my alterhumanity in some way, shape, or form,” 92% of those who took my survey agreed, and 8% disagreed, which is a WILD split. Far beyond notable.
For the statement, “I feel like the way that autistic beings are seen by society has influenced my alterhumanity”, the split is a bit more even, with 72.4% agreeing, and 27.6% disagreeing.
This means that, of those who I polled who agreed that autism influenced their alterhumanity, 78.6% (rounding down) also agreed that the way autistic beings are viewed in society influenced their alterhumanity. This is a rate a bit over 3 in every 4.
This next question is one of the things that I asked more out of personal curiosity, which is, whether or not they feel more safe to be openly autistic in alterhuman spaces, when compared to other community spaces. Of those polled, 89.4% agreed, and 10.6% disagreed, which makes me quite happy! One anonymous being commented, quote, “I generally find that most alterhuman spaces are a lot more accepting of autistic beings than wider society if that makes sense? Going into an alterhuman space, I'm never concerned that it may not be safe or accessible for me.” Endquote. Someone else wrote in that they could testify to the opposite being true, as well; autistic spaces, in their experience, had a higher likelihood of being accepting of alterhuman identities. However, one being who answered ‘no’ to this question stated that they avoid alterhuman spaces for things related to this subject. They list as an example, quote, “Like the refusal of tone tags? I understand not wanting them to be used for you but banning them from the space all together? And also a lot of spaces, despite being accepting of autistic beings, still find a way to hate those beings for being autistic.” Making community spaces safe for autistic beings is an ongoing learning process for everyone involved. So please make sure to consult your local autistic advocate to make sure everything is accessible for those of all neurotypes.
For the next questions, I asked about everyone’s specific experience with alterhumanity. Another question that I asked, mostly out of curiosity, is, “Would you consider alterhumanity, as a subject, a special interest?” 64.8% of respondents answered ‘no’, and 35.2% answered ‘yes’.
The next question, though, is really quite interesting to me. It asks, “If you have any kintypes which originate from a piece of media: Would you consider that kintype's source material a special interest?” 69% of respondents (nice) answered ‘yes’, and 31% answered ‘no’. That’s a pretty close percentage to the question about alterhumanity as a special interest, but with the answers flipped. Indeed, many times in the section where I invite others to talk about their experience, there are respondents specifically namedropping that they believe their special interests contribute to their alterhumanity. Some, but not all, of these instances include a space conceptkin who has space as a special interest, two catkin, with one having Warrior Cats as a past special interest, and the other, cats in general as one, and someone who specifically wrote, quote, “I also feel as though my special interests in some medias have influenced the fact that I identify with both real and fictional species. For example, I have a large number of original characters who are demons and I feel like my special interest in them may have led me down the path of discovering myself as demonkin.” When discussing the subject of autism influencing alterhumanity, special interests were easily the thing that came up the most, other than how autistic beings are seen by neurotypical society.
The final multiple choice question I had asked, “If you have a nonhuman kintype of any kind: Do you experience species dysphoria and/or euphoria?” To this, 85.9% answered ‘yes’, and 14.1% answered ‘no’.
We can compare this to a survey not aimed at autistic alterhumans; specifically, the ‘Alterhumanity and Gender Survey’, as conducted by Eli, at pantomorph on tumblr. These results were posted on July 22nd of 2019, and reported that, in response to the question, “Do you experience species dysphoria?”, 4.9% answered ‘I used to,’ 8.9% answered ‘unsure’, 22.7% answered ‘no’, 36% answered ‘sometimes’ and 27.6% answered ‘yes’. Adding up the percentages of ‘I used to’, ‘sometimes’ and ‘yes’, we get 68.5% of respondents who are certain that they have, at some point, experienced species dysphoria.
This means that, according to these surveys, autistic alterhumans appear to have a higher chance of experiencing species dysphoria, with a 17.5% difference. Though, keep in mind, I included euphoria in my question, and Eli did not. This would certainly require more data to confirm, however, this at least would warrant further polling, in my opinion.
All of this talk about autistic beings and species dysphoria may have you thinking about the fact that autistic beings are statistically more likely to identify as transgender, with some estimates stating that transgender individuals are up to 6 times more likely to be autistic than cisgender individuals! This is because gender is stupid, and autistic folks are not. Multiple respondents to the survey brought this point up. One being specifically wrote in, quote, “Statistically, autistic folks are more likely to know they're trans than allistics, and I support the theory that that's got something to do with autistic beings seeing things without the lens of social cues and societal pressures, including more awareness of who we are and how we see ourselves. … Society is like, "You should be like this," and autistics are like, "But why? It doesn't really make sense, plus I don't fit in to those standards anyway, so why not choose my own path in life?"” Endquote. I definitely agree that the reason so many autistic folks identify as transgender may be similar to, or the same, reason that autistic folks seem to be more likely to be alterhuman.
Hello to all trans autistic alterhumans listening! Call that a triple threat.
Now, the final question that I asked. I listed multiple different alterhuman identities, and asked everyone to indicate which, if any, of the provided labels that they identify with. And, indeed, my hypothesis when going into this question was proven correct. Of the terms that I provided, it was “nonhuman” that most autistic alterhumans identified with specifically, with 74.9% of respondents identifying as nonhuman. Other popular answers to this question included ‘therian’, with 57.5%, and fictionkin with a nonhuman fictional character. Indeed, I did put two separate options for fictionkin, where they could indicate if their fictional kintype was human or not. 45.1% of respondents had a nonhuman fictotype, and 41.2% of respondents had a human fictotype. So, autistic fictionkin appear to have around a 9% (rounding down) higher likelihood to identify with nonhuman fictional characters. Unfortunately, I could not find another survey to compare this statistic against, but it is a statistic we have now, nonetheless.
Furthermore, I specifically listed 3 common kintypes that have been associated with autistic beings, as previously discussed: fairies, aliens, and robots / technology. Of these, techkin was easily the most popular, with 19.9% of respondents identifying as such. Alienkin and fairykin were close in numbers, with 11.2% identifying as alienkin, and 11.9% identifying as fairykin. On the subject of being robotkin, one being wrote, quote, “I do not on a literal, physical level believe I’m a robot, however, tropes related to robots and the way they behave and are treated feel analogous to my own lived experiences, so in some ways it feels as though I experience my life as a robot would.” Endquote.
Which segways nicely into the final question, which is the filled in responses. For this question, I prompted, “If you have anything you'd like to add, please tell me about your experiences involving your alterhumanity and autism.”
Many took the chance to speak on if they felt like their autism and alterhumanity were connected. As previously mentioned, lots of folks mentioned special interests as a factor. Lots of folks also said that they felt the two were connected, but couldn’t explain how, with a common sentiment being that it is a ‘chicken or the egg’ situation. Two different beings whose kintypes are their past lives wrote in, and both said that a hypothetical allistic version of them wouldn’t be able to get memories as easily. Multiple beings also wrote that they felt like the awakening process was made easier due to their autism. They were so used to seeing themselves as different from everybody else, and not understanding social cues, that they were more willing to take on, quote-unquote, “weird” solutions as the source of their feelings. Other commonly-mentioned points include dehumanization as a reason for alterhumanity, autistic traits being seen as similar to animalistic traits, and the possibly-related high rate of autistic pagans and witches.
Something that I didn’t expect going in, but perhaps should have, is the amount of autistic alterbeings who wrote about their struggle to find words to describe themselves. One ghostkin wrote they felt like their nonconformity to their kintype’s typical associated traits (like darkness, doom and gloom, et cetera) was due to their autism, but that they felt they didn’t belong with other ghostkin because of it. And a LOT of folks wrote in saying that they had a lot of trouble figuring out what terminology to use, especially regarding the ever-dreaded ‘identify with’ or ‘identify as’ question. One being wrote in that they see themself as psychological otherkin, but would be more accurately described as having a neurotype-based, or neurology-based, origin, due to their autism. However, this has caused some issues, as it is not seen as a, quote-unquote, ‘valid’ origin. Someone else describes having issues with this because the community does a lot of gatekeeping, and because it is easier to find beings complaining about words being misused than the actual use of words.
Now, there are some responses that I would like to read in full, or mostly in full, for your listening pleasure.
The first one is as follows. Quote. “When I was 6-ish, I started noticing that people treated me a bit like they treated our old Windows ‘98 Dell computer. The computer was inhuman when it worked (and praised for its distance from humanity! “Yes, it can play videos from the internet! Isn’t technology cool?”) and human when it broke down (“He’s getting overwhelmed, give us a sec.” “She’s blinking at me. I have no idea why this is such a difficult task.” “It ate my fucking CD. Stubborn POS.”). It’s a bit frustrating that my autistic traits are only praised when they make me convenient for others to use... I’m self-sufficient, I’m quiet, I’m a fast learner and a thorough researcher, so I rarely need to bother another person to complete the tasks I’m given. But because that’s all anyone ever seems to want me for... It’s a self-fulfilling cycle which is useful for the neurotypicals but exhausting for me, and when it ends in a burnout (inevitable) then I’m finally treated as human, but only because I’ve failed to be the computer they wanted. So I’m a computer when someone’s pleased with me, and I’m human when I’ve disappointed them. You can see why I might like the idea of being a PC more than a person. Also, when something’s wrong, computers’ error messages are both clearer and harder to ignore than a human’s requests for accommodation. This is a bit of a bummer, sorry. The upside is that I’m crazy good at data analysis now.” Endquote. This was excellently put, and I’m sure something that may resonate with autistic techkin.
Another write-in reads, quote, “One does not have to be autistic to be alterhuman or nonhuman, but one does have to be autistic to be my species. My species does not have human neurology, or allistic neurology. To be my species one must be autistic… though it’s more that my species has neurology which allistics will refer to as autism. I could not be my species if I wasn’t autistic.” Endquote. This is a very interesting response, and, to be honest, I sort of wish I knew what this being’s species was so that I could look more into it. It’s almost like a sort of alternate view of autistic nonhumans or autistic aliens, which is just lovely.
Then, there is this submission. Quote, “Diagnosed with autism at 15, explained a lot, I can't help but wonder - if I'd known, would I still dehumanize myself in the way I do? Other kids called me "cat boy" because when they would pick on me, I'd hiss at them. I don't know why. I think I just saw my cats do it and it was the only way I knew how to retaliate. But it just made them laugh. ... I stopped seeing myself as human a long time ago, more of an animal for people's amusement. ... But when I found out about otherkin, it was like suddenly this experience of mine I was certain I was alone in was shared. For some people it's spiritual, but even in our differences, our feelings were the same. The community  taught me to love this nonhuman side of me, and they were understanding of my diagnosis. I didn't feel like an outcast there, they made me feel like it was something to cherish, and I do.” Endquote. Again, absolutely very well-said. Reclaiming and celebrating nonhumanity is, from what I’ve gathered, a large part of the autistic alterhuman experience, and this response phrased it just wonderfully.
Lastly, in regards to responses: shoutout to the one guy who said, “I just finished making my first ever tail, isn’t that sick?”, because yes, yes it is.
Thank you so much again to all the respondents to my survey!
And so, we have now reached the discussion section, which will last until my time runs out. This is where I will cease looking at a script, so please send anything you’d particularly like me to see now! Also, feel free to ask me questions, and I will answer to the best of my ability. Alternatively, tell me about your experiences, or just give general comments!

frankenstein spin-off wip (now with art !)
you may have seen a post like this before last month if you follow @petricharme (which you should) , but some of my friends have been working on a frankenstein spin-off story surrounding louis manoir , famous man in our hearts mentioned one singular time in the novel ! they have created a google doc (linked below) with a summarization of the story!
*FMS stands for Forgotten Man’s Symphony, comments on the doc and reblogs are appreciated !
many things on the doc are still subject to change and the story/louis is not fully developed yet and the story is not yet in the actual writing stage. i also highly encourage checking out the other two writers on the story ! there is a FMS discord server you can join , just send petricharme an ask !
i’ve recently started making art for FMS as well! nothing too extravagant yet, mostly just character designs/explorations , but i do have some bigger pieces in mind i wanna start on when i get the chance !
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the first two are of our beloved louis , and the last one an experimental sketch of his older brother , lou
and!! additionally, here's the paragraph of manoir's mention, as i think its needed. this is said by elizabeth in her letter in chapter 5 of the 1818 edition:
Now, dear Victor, I dare say you wish to be indulged in a little gossip concerning the good people of Geneva. The pretty Miss Mansfield has already received the congratulatory visits on her approaching marriage with a young Englishman, John Melbourne, Esq. Her ugly sister, Manon, married M. Duvillard, the rich banker, last autumn. Your favourite schoolfellow, Louis Manoir, has suffered several misfortunes since the departure of Clerval from Geneva. But he has already recovered his spirits, and is reported to be on the point of marrying a very lively pretty Frenchwoman, Madame Tavernier. She is a widow, and much older than Manoir; but she is very much admired, and a favourite with every body.

The last panel from CHICON 2008, Jensen's solo panel, is up next.
Thank you to everyone who has shown an interest in these videos. The reblogs and likes all made me very happy, and I especially appreciated the kind comments some of you left in your reblog text and tags. I'm unsure of the proper Tumblr way to respond directly to that in a way that won't annoy people, but I've definitely noticed and appreciated it!
An explanation of this project and my tentative plans for it are listed below the break. A lot of it will be familiar if you've read my earlier posts, but it's more detailed -- and excessively long! There's also some info on how you can help, especially if you have any old videos or audio files that you'd be willing to contribute.
Why Do You Call These "Enhanced Editions"?
The videos I'm using are not my own, but I've spent many hours adding enhancements to them. Credit and links to the original videos are in the video descriptions. These are the typical enhancements you'll see:
I'm upscaling the videos as best I can. It isn't remotely perfect, but it's a little more watchable than the originals. I'm not experienced with this and the videos I'm working with are very low quality by today's standards. They were also recorded under difficult circumstances. Video taking wasn't permitted at most of the earlier cons, so the people who took them did so at the risk of getting kicked out. They couldn't exactly come waltzing in with a tripod, so the videos are shaky, they don't always have a clear view of the stage, and sometimes they cut off at unfortunate moments. They can be frustrating to watch, but we owe these people a debt of gratitude for capturing this footage because otherwise it would have been lost altogether.
The original videos are usually in multiple parts, but I'm editing them together into a single video as cohesively as possible. I may use videos from multiple sources to provide the most complete video possible, and I'll select the ones with the highest video quality available. Sometimes there just aren't a lot out there, though.
I'm adding extra content to help clarify references people make during the panels. The videos I've worked with so far don't take up the full width of a modern video frame, so I've taken advantage of that extra space to display the extra content to the side where it's less obtrusive. There are explanations for obscure references that are way funnier when you understand what they mean, plus episode references to help jog the memory for those of us who haven't rewatched the show a million times. In rare cases where I think it will enhance understanding, I'll insert brief episode clips that highlight what they're talking about.
I'm putting a LOT of time into adding good, color-coded English subtitles that can be turned on and off with YouTube's CC button. These videos can be frustrating to understand because the audience often drowns them out and Jared and Jensen tend to talk at the same time when they're together. I can't always figure everything out, but it's far better than the crazy, auto-generated nonsense that many videos have. The color-coding helps with telling who's saying what: red for Jared, blue for Jensen, green for the general audience, yellow for the current fan at the microphone, and white for other people such as staff.
If there's missing footage that I can't find anywhere, then if I can find a source that seems to have reliable details about what was discussed, I'll add still images with a brief summary and a link to my source in the video description.
What Conventions Do You Plan to Enhance?
I don't want to make grand promises that I'll enhance videos for every old convention, although I definitely love the idea of doing so. How far I go with this will depend on how much sustained interest there is from other people and how much spare time I have myself. My output speed will probably be erratic depending on what's going on in my life at the time.
My general plan was to start with the oldest conventions and work my way forward. For now, I only plan to enhance the panels with Jared and/or Jensen since they're my main interest. I may temporarily skip over conventions that they didn't both attend, but with the intent to go back and fill those in later.
One big constraint will be whether I can find enough videos to work with for a convention, and just how bad the quality is. I've found that some videos are too poor of a quality to upscale, at least with my limited skill. Since these videos are painful to watch in their raw form, I suspect people will be less interested in watching "enhanced" videos that don't include at least some noticeable improvement in visual quality, but please do let me know if I'm wrong. For that reason, I'll probably skip past cons if I can't upscale the videos, at least for now.
As I work through the old conventions, I'll make a good attempt to upscale the available videos. If I don't have much success, then I'll skip over that convention with the hope that someday either the technology or my skills will improve, or maybe a more skilled fan will be able to accomplish more with it. If I make it through all the low-hanging fruit, I might come back to those problematic conventions and just create a cohesive edit with special content and subtitles even if I can't substantially improve the video quality.
These are just my general thoughts right now but the project is young, so my strategy may change.
Can I Help?
If you have any old convention videos or audio files that you're willing to contribute, please message me! For now, let's limit it to content from 2010 or older. Maybe I can use them, maybe I can't, but the more I have to work with, the better chance I have of creating something more complete. If I do use your material, I'll credit you in whatever manner you prefer.
Even if your videos are on YouTube, I've found that the original files may upscale much better than videos pulled off YouTube. I think the videos were degraded when they were uploaded to YouTube, at least back then. If you send me videos that I'm able to upscale, I'll happily send the upscaled versions back to you for your collection regardless of whether or not I use them. (If you have any videos you don't want me to use for this project, let me know and I'll respect your wishes.)
Even if your video looks terrible, you might just have a missing piece of footage that I couldn't find anywhere else, or your video might upscale more easily than another. If nothing else, I might be able to hear something in the audio that will help me fill in a subtitle I couldn't figure out.
Likewise, audio files can be helpful even without video. If nothing else, they may help me fill in some subtitles. If the audio file is consistently easier to understand than the audio on the videos I'm using, I can also substitute the audio from your file in place of the video's audio. If you have audio of sections of the panels for which no known videos exist, that could also help me fill in those gaps.
If you're watching my enhanced videos with the subtitles turned on, please do let me know if you catch any errors or if you can clearly understand something I marked as [inaudible]. I can't change the videos themselves on YouTube, not without breaking the links and causing confusion, but it's pretty easy to update the subtitles because they're a separate file. It's important to me to try not to put words in their mouths that they might not have said, so I'm trying not to guess based on context. However, there were times when I felt like I should have been able to understand what they said but I just couldn't manage it, and I'm sure someone with different ears may be able to figure out some of the parts I couldn't.

Hey I’m new to tumblr and want to start posting some of my writing for people to read and comment one. Do you have any tips on WIPs, drafts and how to get attention on it? Very new to this space so I don’t really know how things are done.
Hi! First of all, welcome to Tumblr (and Writeblr)!!
The first thing I recommend you do is make a Writeblr intro post and tag it #writeblr intro. Introduce yourself, what genres you like to write, who some of your inspirations are, what your WIP(s) is/are about. You can scroll through the tag to see what others have posted if you need ideas.
You can also make WIP specific intro posts and tag them #WIP intro. These tend to include images that match the vibe of your WIP and will also contain a blurb of what your story is about and a snippet or two of your writing.
For any writing you post - snippets, full chapters, WIP intros, OC intros, single sentences from your WIP - you can also make use of tags like #writing, #writeblr, #writers on tumblr, #fiction writing, #creative writing, #original writing, and genre specific tags like #fantasy writing. Put the five highest trending tags first to guarantee your post shows up in them.
Another great way to grow your blog (and help your writing find an audience) is to interact with other writeblrs. Follow the people who reblog your intro post, send them asks (and ask games like Story-Telling Saturday (STS) or Worldbuilding Wednesday (WBW)), reblog their WIPs, jump in on open tag games. My post for how tag games work can be found here. The more people get to know you the more people will send you asks back, tag you in games, and most importantly reblog your WIP posts so they can reach a wider audience.
You can also specify in your bio if you are ask/tag game friendly. You are more likely to get tags/asks if other writeblrs are certain they won't be annoying you haha.
In general, posts containing links to original writing hosted on other platforms (google docs, wordpress etc.) tend not to do as well as posts that contain the writing itself. I've also heard that posts with images and interesting titles tend to do better. Same with formatted paragraphs and dialogue as opposed to a single, huge text block.
Another thing you can do to help readers find your work is make a master-post for all your WIPs and pin it to the top of your blog. List each WIP, then add hyperlinks below (in reading order) to each post containing snippets/excepts from it. [To make a hyperlink: click on the three dots on the top of the post you want to link to, select "copy link", then go to the post you want to link from, select the text you want to link, then ctrl+v. This will be your end result.]
In settings, you can also feature up to 10 tags that you use for all content on your blog related to specific WIPs. This will help make it easier for readers to search for and find your content too.
My last bit of advice is to talk about writing on your blog (and use the tags). Make little jokes and memes, those "oof relatable" kind of posts, and make and reblog writing advice from time to time. It is the hard truth of WriteBlr that these posts get a lot more interaction than original writing does but they do serve to get your blog seen by more people because they are short, relatable, have wide appeal, and/or low-effort to read. Strangely, they seem to prompt people to check out your blog. I tend to get a small wave of new followers every time one of my posts reaches 100 notes or more. I can only speculate as to why this is.
I hope something in here helps and good luck!
If anyone else has any tips feel free to add on!

so I've currently been working on a very big ishimondo fic, which happens to be a rewrite of one that got a fair amount of attention on ao3 (you can find it here). I'm extremely proud of it, and although I've been tracking my progress (including published excerpts!) on an author's note on the linked work, I wanted to try and generate a small prospective audience here as well!
I'm also more than willing to unofficially share my work with y'all on a Google Doc, so if you decide that this might be up your alley, go ahead and check it out! it's completely canon compliant, though the last two "acts" happen parallel to canon and are where the most creative liberties are taken. but I've always favored pieces that could've actually happened--especially when canon is just a big slap in the face.
at the time of this post, I've completed two chapters and am currently working simultaneously on another two. three chapters have excerpts, which will be included in this post; as I complete more, additional excerpts will be posted as reblogs. and if this post gets enough attention (which tbh I strongly doubt but it's okay), I'll also reblog whenever I hit a milestone and wanna notify y'all about it. each reblog will also have the current word count, just for kicks.
so, without further ado, here's my sneak peek!
title: at the edge of hell
current word count: 36.5k
summary:
"There at the edge of hell...a promise between men was waiting for me. Never saw it comin'."
A story in nine acts: six you've seen, two behind the scenes, and one you've always been waiting for.
The tragedy, the romance, and the cautionary tale of two men, told and untold, in which the wall dividing the black and white sides of morality is irrevocably breached.
This is what happened after the biker broke the computer.
chapters:
ACT I: the blackened.
ACT II: the investigation.
Interlude I: Monokuma Theater
ACT III: the trial.
ACT IV: the execution.
Interlude II: Exclusive Interview w/ Enoshima
ACT V: the reunion.
ACT VI: the spotless.
Epilogue: A Glooming Peace
EXCERPTS BELOW THE CUT
ACT I.
Taka stares at him through the darkness. He’s confused. “Mondo?” he whispers. “What’s wrong?”
...
But now a different voice cuts in. One he doesn’t recognize, one that doesn’t sound like any of the voices that have whispered to him tonight. Almost gleefully, it says, But one of you will die, Owada. You’ll never have this chance again.
His muscles tense. He didn’t need to remember that. Oh, God, how desperately he wanted to forget that. He blinks the tears away from his eyes, willing them to not fall, and between blinks, it’s like Taka switches from himself to a ghoulish form. Like he’s dying before Mondo’s eyes. And the growing concern on his face, the anxiety, seals Mondo’s fate, for better or for worse.
“Nothing,” he says, his tone raspy and distant and wrong in a way that only he could recognize. “You really want this?”
Taka’s entire body seems to activate at the invitation. The concern disappears in a flash as his face morphs into something else entirely, something that only Mondo has ever seen. Taka moves towards him, balancing on his hands and knees, and backs the biker against the headboard. “Yes,” he breathes.
Mondo grabs his face and looks him square in the eye. Pleading with him. Pleading with his soul. Hoping that in the words that will never be enough, Taka understands what he needs, what he’ll always need.
“Then touch me, Taka,” Mondo says shakily. “Touch me like our goddamn lives depend on it.”
ACT II.
“Do you know?” he asks with a gravelly tone.
Taka’s lips become a thin line on his face. He glances towards Mondo’s hand on his cheek; Mondo briefly wonders if Taka will try and remove it. The smaller man squirms, visibly upset, and avoids Mondo’s gaze as he says, “Know? Know what?”
Mondo’s eyes widen. So we’re both lying to each other. He suppresses the urge to swear at Taka, the way that the old Mondo would. “The killer, Taka,” he whispers. “That’s why you’re so scared. Ya figured it out, didn’t you?”
The electricity that crackles between them is so thick that Mondo can physically feel it coursing through their bodies in a dangerous circuit. There is no grounding it, no escaping its vicious cycle. But as much as it hurts him, he cannot tear his eyes away from Taka’s--they’re so big, and red, and scared. They glitter with tears, and when one droplet falls onto the back of Mondo’s hand, it burns like acid.
He doesn’t know which one of them will break first. They face each other, breathing harder and harder because the heat of their bodies is sucking all of the oxygen out of the hallway. Mondo yearns for the darkness that muffled their emotions last night. He prays that the energy between them will cause a sudden blackout so that he does not have to read the words scrawled behind Taka’s eyes. The gravity they generate draws them in like magnets, and between heartbeats, Mondo finds that their foreheads have pressed together. They are so close to a kiss, and yet Taka’s heart feels a million miles away from his.
“I don’t know,” Taka says tightly.
The corners of Mondo’s lips quirk into a dry smile. “I kinda don’t believe you.”
ACT III.
Out of the corner of his eye, Mondo can see some struggle fading over Taka’s face, and his twitching mouth suggests that he wants to say something. As the group nears the stairs, he finally asks, “Do you think Byakuya really didn’t do it? Or Genocide Jill?”
Mondo stiffens. He actually sees stars for a second as an indescribably terrible emotion threatens to overwhelm him. His mind fills with awful, awful thoughts, every single one of them aimed right at the heart of the man at his side. His vision flickers, and suddenly, he is not walking through the hallway. He is in the locker room, a dumbbell in hand, lost in a fog of red. His echoey voice is not his own.
“Are you...making fun of me?”
It’s a horrible experience. He has no control over his mind or his body. He turns towards the person beside him, whose face he cannot make out in the haze. Something is pulling at him, like a puppet master manipulating the barbed strings. Reality trembles as it suddenly cleaves in two, leaving Mondo with one foot in one moment and one in the other. In one reality, the strings around his right wrist tug upwards; in the other, a string around his jaw tugs his mouth open. And he can tell that in the second reality, he is about to say something completely unforgivable, something that not even Taka could overlook. He can taste the venom right at the tip of his tongue. He wants to spit it out.
Then something else closes around his right hand. Another hand, two hands, clasping around his fist and gingerly bringing it back to rest against his thigh. There’s a violent sensation of a vacuum all around him. The world spins and sharpens as it is redrawn by the slender fingers that brush over the callouses on Mondo’s hand, beckoning him back, anchoring him once again. And then, there he is, standing on the tile, staring wide-eyed at Taka, who will not die today. Taka, whom Mondo could never hurt. Taka, who could save a life with nothing more than a touch.
“Why on earth would I ever make fun of you?” he says softly.

Fatphobia Busters: Ask Policy
Last Updated in February of 2019.
Dear Current and Future Followers,
Thank you for taking the time to grace our blog with your presence. We appreciate you being here.
Below are all of the guidelines for sending asks to our blog. Please review these guidelines carefully before sending an ask.
We want to make sure everyone’s experience on our blog is as pleasurable as possible, and having people send asks that are upsetting, are repeats of previous questions, or are full of unnecessary/offensive language make people’s experiences on our blog less delightful.
We want to be as useful of a resource to people as possible, but we cannot do that under negative conditions. Both the way you say something and what you specifically say are important, and can make a huge difference in how we perceive your ask or how we answer it, so please be aware of that and follow these guidelines closely.
In short, we have guidelines for your benefit. So please do your best to follow them.
This page will be divided into two parts: a “general rules” part that focuses on the content of your messages, and a more specific formatting part that explains how your asks should be written. Please read both parts very carefully, as both are very important.
If any of the guidelines are unclear to you (for example, if you don’t understand what a specific rule is asking or aren’t sure what would qualify as breaking that rule), or if you need further elaboration on any of the guidelines, please let us know. We are more than happy to help you with this.
If you are interested in sending a submission instead of an ask, please look at our Submissions Policy page. Remember that a lot of what you see on this page applies there too, even if the other guidelines do not specifically say it! For that reason, it would be a good idea to read both guidelines before sending submissions.
Thank you for making an effort to learn our guidelines, for following them, and for being so thoughtful and understanding.
General Rules:
Rule One: If the ask you are planning on sending us is in response to a post, submission, or ask already on our blog, please just reblog the original post/ask or put a reply on that thread instead of sending us a new ask.
In other words, if you are adding something to a conversation already taking place on our blog somewhere, don’t send us an ask; instead, please reblog whatever post it is to which you are contributing, leave a comment on that post, or otherwise engage with that post.
Don’t send us an ask to say, “About that one post,” or “In reply to that last ask.” Just reblog the post/ask to which you are responding.
There’s a few reasons for this rule in particular, and why this rule is so important.
Imagine, for example, that you send us an ask about BMI after we replied to another ask about it, and then someone else sends us another ask about BMI, and then another person does, and another, and another, until we have a good 50 asks in the inbox about BMI. Can you see why we might not want to post that many? Can you see why that might be stressful for us as the people who have to answer that many asks? Or how it might be annoying for our followers to see 50+ posts on the same topic all at once?
Additionally, people not following the entire conversation might miss important key parts of the conversation, and might start leaving unnecessary comments (such comments repeating things already said) or asking questions that were already answered.
This might lead to drama and fights ensuing because people didn’t see the entire conversation, and therefore don’t entirely understand what is being said.
We don’t want a bunch of fights starting that could be avoided by people having all the information available to them before they comment on a post. It’s easier for us to keep the whole conversation, especially the best parts of the conversation, in one or two posts, rather than making 50 on the same topic that are all interrelated and responding to one another.
It also clutters our inbox to get a lot of asks all at once, which might make it harder for us to get to more time sensitive or urgent asks. The more asks we have in the inbox, the more overwhelming it becomes to answer asks, and the more likely it is we will miss something important (like someone asking how to deal with an emergency) or give a poorly thought out answer because we were too tired or were rushing. This would obviously be bad for everyone involved, so we want to avoid this situation if at all possible.
Moreover, if for some reason we are only able to reply to the first 30 asks in a single sitting, the last 20 might not make as much sense when we do finally have time to respond to them because we might not remember the conversation that occured before about BMI and we might already have new conversations started.
If those 20 asks say, “In regards to that last ask,” but the last ask we posted was not related to the BMI conversation, it might be confusing for us, and confusing for our followers. These 20 asks might seem really random and unprompted, despite having actually been relevant at one time.
We as mods can’t always be sure to what post you are referring when you say “In regards to that one post,” so we can’t necessarily reply to you accurately. We might not know from where your comment is coming or what sparked it. That makes it really hard for us to keep the conversation going.
Overall, it’s just a hassle and we don’t appreciate it. So please, don’t keep sending asks when it’s not necessary to do so.
Note: this rule also applies to submissions.
Rule Two: If you are sending us an ask to warn us that someone we reblogged from is a TWERF/TERF, SWERF, aphobe, racist, or otherwise problematic, please be specific about what their offense is.
Don’t just say “Ew, you reblogged (insert username here)” or say “Yikes, I didn’t know (insert username here) was still relevant.” We can’t do anything with that.
You need to be clear about the specific way someone is bigoted or problematic and say it in direct terms. State clearly to us that “(Insert username here) is a TERF/racist/aphobe/[insert other type of bigot here].” We can’t know that someone is, for example, racist, if all you send us is a message that simply says, “Yikes.”
Keep in mind we verify that what you are saying is true. If you send us a false accusation or a lie, we will find out about it. If your intel on this blogger is based on a misunderstanding, we will find out about it.
We are not going to delete posts based on false accusations, half baked rumors, or shaky evidence. We will not block people based on those things, and we will not stop interacting with people based on those things. We are always going to make sure you are telling us the truth before we do anything, because it’s not fair to that blogger to help you or other people spread lies about them.
We aren’t verifying your comment because we don’t trust you or believe you; we are doing it because we do not want to be responsible for wrecking innocent people’s reputations.
We have had false accusations in our inbox before, and we don’t want to have that happen again. As such, we will not be posting accusations against someone without first checking to see if they are true, regardless of how serious the accusation may be.
We will gladly delete posts by anyone who is a bigot regardless if we agree with what they said. That is not a problem for us. We do not support bigotry of any kind, and will not endorse or support people who are problematic or dangerous.
We just need to be sure that you’re not lying or confusing the person you are talking about with someone else, which has happened more than once. We hope you can understand.
Note: this rule also applies to submissions.
Rule Three: If your ask is really long and requires sending three or more asks, send it as a submission instead!
Do not send us more than two asks on the same topic at a time, because that crowds our inbox and makes answering your question too difficult! (See this post for more details.)
We have had people send as many as six or seven asks in a row about the same thing, and it’s extremely frustrating and makes it harder to respond, so please don’t do that!
We can forgive people who meant to send a two-part ask, but realized as they were typing part two that their ask actually requires three parts. That’s understandable.
However, if it’s obvious to you immediately that your ask is going to be really long, please make sure you send a submission instead. It is a lot easier to respond to that way and is easier for our followers to read.
Rule Four: Tell us if you want your ask to remain anonymous, and we shall post it as such. If you forgot to press the “anonymous” button or didn’t log out before sending us something and want us to know that you don’t want it posted with your name attached, just let us know as soon as you possibly can.
Also, please make sure you let us know if you want your ask answered privately. We don’t have to post anything that you don’t want posted!
Rule Five: If your ask is an emergency, time sensitive, or otherwise needs to be answered right away, please tell us that in your ask!
State it very clearly for us so that we don’t miss it; we have had time sensitive asks before that we didn’t get to until it was too late because at first glance, they didn’t seem nearly as serious or time sensitive as they were.
Remember we have busy lives and are often unable to answer asks right away, and sometimes let things go unanswered for months; if your ask absolutely needs to be answered, you have to let us know that right away!
Note: this rule also applies to submissions.
Rule Six: Do not get mad at us if we don’t answer you right away. It just means we have other things going on in our lives and can’t devote time to sitting at a computer and answering every question people have.
Remember, too, that several of the mods regularly utilize the queue. If it seems like our blog is really active on a given day, and yet no one seems to be answering you, that could mean that we aren’t actually on Tumblr and all of the posts you’re seeing were queued a while ago.
Usually, queued posts will be tagged as such, but XKit doesn’t always do this, and tagging on mobile is more difficult than tagging on the computer, so mobile posts often aren’t tagged. That means you won’t always know just by looking at it if the post was posted just now or if it was queued ages ago.
(Side note: we completely apologize for any untagged posts, or posts that are not tagged well. Please let us know if this is a problem or if we forgot to tag a trigger on a post that you really need us to tag.)
Note: this rule also applies to submissions.
Rule Seven: We get many, many asks, and sometimes, we can’t keep up with them. There are a lot of reasons why this might be, and we don’t have time to go through every reason. However, we can say that we do have a solution to this problem, one about which you need to be aware.
If the inbox reaches a certain number of asks (usually 100 or more) and we’re having trouble keeping up, we’ll turn the inbox off completely. That means you will not be able to send us asks for a period of time.
Please be patient with us; we will open the inbox for you again soon. We want to get to your asks as timely as possible. but we want to make sure we answer them well. We can’t do that if we are rushing, or are overwhelmed with stress from the number of asks we have received.
(Side note: We might turn off anonymous asks, but not all asks, if we are getting to much hate mail at a particular time. If we get too many asks of a hostile nature, especially if they are anonymous, we will turn anonymous asks off until it seems safe to turn them on again. Do not make us do that; people need anonymous asks in order to talk to us and feel safe and secure while doing so. Don’t take that safety and peace of mind away from others. You shouldn’t want to be responsible for that. )
As much as we appreciate that you like what we do, we’re human. We have our feelings and our own lives. And we want to make sure we give everyone equal time and respected answers while at the same time keeping our well being in check. We want to take care of ourselves too.
Note: this rule also applies to submissions.
Rule Eight: Please don’t ask us anything about topics about which we aren’t experts or have no right or authority answering (topic examples: animals, physics, medical diagnoses).
We can really only answer questions about fatphobia and other forms of oppression as they apply to humans, how fatphobia is present in everyday life, etc., as well as our opinions on political or social events. Most other topics are not ones where we can give an informed opinion.
We are not doctors or veterinarians. We cannot give accurate diagnoses of you or your pets, nor can we give you information on other unrelated topics about which we don’t know.
So if you are going to ask us a question, please make sure it is something that we could actually answer. If any part of you is unsure whether we will be able to answer your question, it might be better to ask someone else.
If we can’t answer your question, we will try to direct you to someone who can, but it might be better just to not ask us something if you’re unsure we will be capable of answering accurately.
Please remember: We’re not therapists, we’re not lawyers, and we’re certainly not doctors. We’re just a group of people that like to help. We can’t know everything, and we don’t claim to know everything. So please try not to assume that we do, or expect that we can answer every single thing you might think to ask. And please remember that, since we don’t know you personally, know your medical history, etc., there is a lot that you know about yourself that we never could.
We are not here to give medical advice, professional mental help, or anything like that. Please do not come to us as if we are able to do that.
Note: this rule also applies to submissions.
Rule Nine: On that note, please don’t come to us demanding we “stop giving medical advice.”
The only “medical advice” we give is that people advocate for themselves, take care of their mental health, make choices that are right for them, educate themselves on the risks of commonly suggested procedures for fat people, recognize that doctors often suggest weight loss to fat patients when weight loss is not necessary, and be aware that medical fatphobia exists.
That’s it.
If you do not think people should be allowed to stand up to doctors who make them feel like they do not have their best interest in heart, if you think that doctors are flawless and never let their bigotry influence their work, if you think that fat people not trying to starve themselves or engage in risky or dangerous behaviors to lose weight is a bad thing, etc., you are on the wrong blog. Period.
We are not the problem; you are.
Note: this rule also applies to submissions.
Rule Ten: Please also remember not to ask us anything unrelated to fatphobia, sizeism, healthism, and the like! We don’t mind occasionally straying from that topic, but overall we are a fatphobia blog, and we want fatphobia to be our focus!
If you want to ask us an unrelated question, either ask us for our personal blogs so we can talk somewhere else, or try to find a different blog to answer your question. Social justice and feminist blogs, for example, are all over Tumblr; you don’t need to go to us for general questions about feminism, political parties, or the like.
This blog is for combatting fatphobia, for disproving fatphobic narratives, for calling attention to institutional fatphobia, for calling out diet culture and beauty culture, and for demolishing systems of oppression related to body size. That is our focus. And that is what we are going to be discussing here.
Note: this rule also applies to submissions.
Rule Eleven: Please remember that if we perceive your ask to be a personal attack, hate mail, or in any way cruel, violent, fatphobic, hateful, or rude, we may respond with anger or simply block you. Please be polite when you ask questions and please forgive us if we misinterpret your tone.
Is it possible we might mistake something you say as hate when it isn’t intended that way? Sure it is. We are only human, and we can only go by our own perceptions because we can’t hear your tone online and we don’t know your intentions if you don’t tell us. We will always be as kind and generous as we can be with people who are kind to us, but we are not perfect and sometimes we make mistakes. We apologize in advance.
Note: this rule also applies to submissions.
Rule Twelve: Regardless if we reply in a manner you find perfectly polite or not, we ask that you be understanding of our perspective and our emotions. Do not police our tone and the way we communicate with others. We have every right to be rude to people who were rude to us first.
We are kind, patient, calm, rational people, but being those things doesn’t mean we don’t get upset when others hurt or dehumanize us. And we are allowed to get upset. We are allowed to be mad. We are allowed to be uncomfortable when people treat us poorly. Even if that wasn’t their intention, even if they were “polite” about it, even if they were not overly hateful and cruel.
Being angry doesn’t make us immature, doesn’t make us pathetic, doesn’t make us childish, and doesn’t make us wrong. So please do not come to us to try to tell us we are wrong to be angry or that our anger reflects poorly on us.
If our anger towards fatphobia and health-based bigotry offends you more than fatphobia and health-based bigotry, we are not the problem. You are.
We will not tolerate being labeled unfairly or being tone policed simply for being mad that someone attacked us in our own inbox. Asks accusing us of being mean to people who sent hate mail will result in a block.
We do not owe people emotional labor, especially when they mistreat us. Be kind to us and we will be kind to you. We do not owe bullies that kindness.
Note: this rule also applies to submissions.
Rule Thirteen: We do not tolerate sealioning, trolling, bigotry, bullying, or other bullshit. Do not expect us to “debate” you or to entertain you. It is not our job to waste our time and emotional labor on people who hate fat people, harass fat people, etc.
We don’t have endless amounts of time to spend on this Earth, and we aren’t going to spend that time on people who come to us in bad faith or who greet us with aggression, hostility, anger, or fake concern.
Note: this rule also applies to submissions.
Finally: Please don’t feel the need to start your asks with an apology! So many of you tell us you feel bad for wasting our time or for bothering us before you send a message. We don’t need you to feel sorry for sending us a message, for taking up our time, etc.
We are more than happy to help you and to answer your questions, and it is a pleasure to do so! We love you all, and you mean so much to us! So don’t feel bad about contacting us, don’t feel guilty, and don’t worry about it!
We are happy to have you on our blog and we want to communicate with and be there for you. So there is no need to be sorry. 💖
Note: this rule also applies to submissions.
All of these rules are based on our real experiences with real people. These rules aren’t random or made for no reason. So please respect each and every one. It’s very important to us as it makes our blog much more wonderful for everyone.
Also, please remember: you are allowed to address your asks to a specific moderator if you so choose. Feel free to take advantage of that.
How To Write And Format Asks:
Now that you know the general rules of our ask box, it’s time to discuss how to actually format your ask. To make the lives of everyone involved easier, please try the following procedure before you send an ask.
First: Check to see if there is an answer to your question already posted to our blog. To do this, use the search bar at the top of our blog and type in any phrase, word, or tag relevant to your question.
You can see all of our previously posted asks by searching the “ask” tag (for all asks, even ones we reblogged from others) and “asked and answered” tag (for all asks we specifically answered), go to our “resource” or “reference” tags for scientific or otherwise important information, see all of our links by searching the “link” tag, or you can search a specific keyword related to your question.
For example, if you wanted to know our opinion about the show This is Us, you could type in “This is Us” in the search bar. The results should bring up every post tagged with “This is Us,” as well as posts that mention that phrase. From there, you should be able to figure out how we feel about the show without much hassle.
The search bar method works both on mobile and on the computer, so it shouldn’t be particularly difficult. You should be able to look through our tags at any time, without much trouble.
(Note: we are discussing adding a “Frequent Tags” page that would include any common tags or important tags so that you can more easily find what you are looking for, but this has not been finalized. At any rate, pages are only available on the computer version of Tumblr, so the search bar method is probably easier.)
Second: Check to see if the information you want could be found on one of the pages on our blog. We have both a Frequently Asked Questions page and a Resource page that contains a list of useful links and references.
You can find pages on our blog on the computer, but you will not be able to access these from mobile. So please keep that in mind.
(Note: If these pages are for some reason unavailable, it means we are currently updating them and they will be available again when we are done! So if you cannot find these pages, do not be discouraged; they will become available again eventually. Please check the pages for regular updates, too, because we make changes to our pages whenever necessary.)
Third: Do not use any racist, transphobic, antisemitic, misogynistic, ableist*, or otherwise offensive/oppressive language in your ask. We are very serious about this, and we will remind you every time you violate this rule.
*If you don’t know what words are ableist or not or need alternatives to ableist language, please go here. This is especially important because many of the mods and followers are mentally ill and/or disabled in some way, so we appreciate people who don’t use language that hurts us.
Note: this rule also applies to submissions.
Fourth: Make sure your question is as specific and accurate as possible. We can’t answer questions we do not understand.
If your question is not specific, clearly written, and well worded, it makes doing our job a lot harder. Please proofread your ask before you send it and try to keep it clear and concise. Thank you!
Note: this rule also applies to submissions.
For now, that’s all you need to know about sending asks! Let us know if you have any questions, or if anything was confusing for you. We are always happy to help you.
Please make sure you check out our Submissions Policy, Blog Rules, Do Not Interact List, and other important pages before attempting to interact with our blog.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and we hope you have a lovely day!
Sincerely,
The Fatphobia Busters Team

Last Updated in February, 2019.
Dear Current and Future Followers,
Thank you for taking the time to grace our blog with your presence. We appreciate you being here.
Below are all of the guidelines for sending submissions to our blog. Please review these guidelines carefully before sending us a submission.
We want to make sure everyone’s experience on our blog is as pleasurable as possible, and having people send submissions that are upsetting, are repeats of previous questions, or are full of unnecessary/offensive language make people’s experiences on our blog less delightful.
Most of our guidelines for submissions are exactly the same as the guidelines for our asks, so please review our Ask Policy before you send us a submission as well! This page will only focus on the guidelines that are unique to submissions, but the guidelines in both pages apply at all times. Please keep that in mind when you write your submission.
If any of the guidelines are unclear to you (for example, if you don’t understand what a specific rule is asking or aren’t sure what would qualify as breaking that rule), or if you need further elaboration on any of the guidelines, please let us know. We are more than happy to help you with this.
Thank you for making an effort to learn our guidelines, for following them, and for being so thoughtful and understanding.
Submission Guidelines:
One: If the submission you are sending is in response to a post or ask already on our blog, please do not send us a submission. Reblog the post/ask or comment on the thread instead.
You can see our Ask Policy for more details about this rule, and for an explanation of why this rule is in place.
Two: For text submissions, please keep your submission as organized and as well written as possible so we can understand it. Make sure you use paragraphs, proofread, and explain things in detail, especially if your submission is long.
We cannot respond to you if we do not understand you, so making sure we can easily read what you wrote needs to be your priority. We need to know why you are sending this submission and what your submission is trying to say. Otherwise, we won’t know how to react to it.
Three: Please do not send anything even vaguely close to NSFW if you are under 18, even if you will be 18 soon.
We are so serious about this; this is not okay with us. No exceptions.
Note: This also applies to asks.
Four: Please remember before you submit something that this is not a porn blog and that minors follow us. If you are an adult, do not submit fully nude or sexual photos of any kind, or images with sexual captions.
This blog is not meant for your sexual gratification, and it is not meant for making sexual content or finding sexual partners. Please do not attempt to use the blog that way.
This is especially important given the new Tumblr guidelines. We do not want our blog to get in trouble because of you, and we do not want to put any of our followers in danger. Please consider this before you submit something.
Five: Include your age and gender pronouns in your selfie submissions so that we can compliment you properly. This only applies to pictures of yourself; we don’t need this for other things unless you feel it is relevant or important for us to know it.
Six: Please be respectful of other people’s selfie submissions. No bullying or body shaming, no sexual harassment, no misgendering, etc.
We will block you for this. Do not do it.
Note: This applies to replies, reblogs, and asks. Please don’t send asks mocking other people’s selfie submissions, or reblog them to add mean comments in any way! Make sure you don’t tag your reblogs with anything offensive or inappropriate, either!
Seven: If you are submitting screenshots of something you want us to address, such as a post you want us to debunk, please make sure you don’t leave out any context, and try to provide us with names and sources.
Do not submit someone else’s words or images as if they were your own, do not submit art or written work without credit, etc. We will not tolerate plagiarism of any kind.
On that note, do not take screenshots of posts if you know the person who wrote it would not be okay with that. Please do not violate anyone’s boundaries here.
Also, please try to include image descriptions if you can (we understand if, for longer screenshots or a collection of many screenshots, you find that difficult), and please explain to us why you are submitting this screenshot so that we know how to respond to it. This also goes for any links you submit to us as well. Be specific, please!
Eight: If you are submitting something to let us know someone has been mocking or speaking badly about the blog or its moderators, don’t. We don’t want to hear it. We get enough drama without you bringing more to us; if people do not like us, that is their problem. Please do not make it ours.
Nine: If we are not comfortable with a submission you have sent us, do not want to deal with that submission, do not understand your submission, or do not know how to respond to your submission, it is possible we will either ignore it for a while or delete it. Please remember this as you are writing your submission.
What we are comfortable answering may change on a given day. Some days, we are more willing to argue and to debate than others. Some days, we find it easier to understand the things in our inbox and find it easier to respond to them than others. There are times when we aren’t going to be sure how to deal with things, or where we just don’t feel up to it, and we need you to understand that.
We have gotten submissions before where we honestly had no idea what was being said. We didn’t know if it was pro fat or anti fat. We didn’t know if it was asking a question or making a statement. Etc. And sometimes, those kinds of submissions are easier to deal with than others.
Basically, what I’m asking is that you be considerate when you send submissions. Consider whether or not your submission is necessary. Consider whether or not it might cause us distress or discomfort. Consider whether or not we can understand it.
And be considerate when waiting for us to post it. If we don’t post it, be understanding about that and accept it.
Note: This also applies to asks. Please remember this when sending us asks instead of submissions.
For now, that’s all you need to know about sending submissions. Let us know if you have any questions, or if anything was confusing for you. We are always happy to help you.
Please make sure you check out our Ask Policy, Blog Rules, Do Not Interact List, and other important pages before attempting to interact with our blog.
Remember: the rest of the rules for our submissions are the same as what is in our Ask Policy. You have to read that page too before sending us a submission. Just because we didn’t repeat ourselves a bunch by copying the rules from there that apply here too does not mean that you get a pass on breaking the rules.
It should be pretty obvious which rules apply to both asks and submissions, but feel free to ask us if you are not sure.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and we hope you have a lovely day!
Sincerely,
The Fatphobia Busters Team

We’re All Fired Up!!
Tumblr media
Hey everyone!
The Guild Awards are back for the first bi-annual term of 2023! We hope everyone had a wonderful start to the year! Thank you to those who participated last term for making it so enjoyable. We look forward to all the new fanfiction and fanart to be nominated for this term.
Shout out to @pencilofawesomeness for creating last term’s banners! If you haven’t received yours, please reach out to one of the mods asap!
Some changes that are taking place that may effect you as nominators. We have decided to take out both NSFW categories, as there hasn’t been much participation in those categories the last couple of terms. So at this time, we are not going to be accepting any explicit NSFW artwork; however, NSFW fanfiction is still allowed to be nominated in other appropriate categories as long as it has been tagged appropriately.
Our roulette category for this term is Best Antagonist Portrayal. This is defined as:  Stories that have a developed antagonist with motive and ambition. This does not necessarily mean a “villain” of the story, but any one person who causes conflict for the story. A large part of the story must surround this antagonist and the “heroes” overcoming the conflict. Keep in mind that characterization must also be considered depending on who the antagonist is. *Nomination must include the name of the character*
As a reminder, there is a Winner Ban in place.   This means that once any piece of artwork or fanfiction has won an award for a category, it automatically becomes ineligible and cannot be nominated again for that category. However, it can be nominated for other categories after three consecutive terms have passed (ie: one year since that piece won) as long as it fits within that definition.
The First Term 2023 Nomination Period will begin March 1st and will end March 31st. Please send in your nominations through the submit button. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to send in an ask or reach out to one of the mods!
Don’t forget we also have a discord that is open to everyone!
Mods: @classysassy9791, @kiliinstinct, @phoenix-before-the-flame, @ratretro, @phoneboxfairy
Please reblog and spread the word of the start of the new term!
[Below the cut is the mobile-friendly FAQs, Rules of Eligibility, and Categories!]
Frequently Asked Questions
What are The Guild Awards?
The Guild Awards is a place where amazing fanart and fanfiction in the Fairy Tail fandom is recognized, admired, and offered the chance to be nominated for an award! In addition, it also gives lesser known authors and artists an opportunity to have their work shared to a broader extent and receive the admiration and recognition they deserve!
How do I nominate?
You can send in a submission in one of our nomination formats. Your submission will not be posted and therefore remain anonymous, only to be seen by the moderators. You can send in multiple nominations in one submission, as long as the nomination formats are used for each nomination. Please select your fiction nominations carefully; spelling and grammar are important parts of being an author. Anything deemed unacceptable by the moderator team will be disqualified. Once nominations are complete, the mods will post the list of accepted nominations so you can read and view them before voting.
Can I nominate my own art/fiction?
You cannot nominate yourself. Doing so will result in the nomination not being accepted and a warning from the award moderators.
How long do I have to nominate?
You will have one month to send in your nominations. At the start of each period, the dates will be announced for when you can send in nominations.
Can I nominate anonymously?
No. This is due to the fact that no one is allowed to nominate their own work. Also, if a nomination is disqualified, the moderators will be reaching out to the person who nominated to allow them another opportunity to nominate.
How many fanfics/fanarts can I nominate?
Only one fiction or artwork can be chosen for each category per person. Meaning, a story or artwork can only be nominated by one person per category. Therefore, any secondary nominations will be disregarded and the duplicate nominator will be allowed to submit another story or artwork in its place.
What fanfiction/fanart is eligible to be nominated?
Please see Rules of Eligibility.
What is the nominating format for fanfics? For fanart?
Nominating format for fanfiction:

Can I nominate a fanart/fanfic that includes Original Characters or Crossover Characters?
Yes. For fanfics, 80% of the story needs to be focused on Fairy Tail characters and the development of the story. OC’s can be in a story, but the main focus needs to be on the Fairy Tail characters. Artwork can contain Non-FT characters where specified, but NO art may contain only OC’s or Non-FT characters (i.e. Artwork of “OC children” or “new wizard in the guild") are unacceptable without other genuine FT characters present in the piece)
I don’t want my fanart/fanfic nominated. Can I opt out? How?
Once a nomination has been approved by the moderators, the author/artist will be made aware of the nomination. Every author/artist retains the right to have their work removed from the nomination list and can opt out of future nominations.
How many terms are there?
There are two terms each year.
How long is each term?
Each term will be approximately 6 weeks long.
How long is the voting period?
The voting period will be 2 weeks long.
How do I vote?
Once the voting period begins, the moderators will post a link that will take you to the voting form. You must sign into Google in order to ensure each person is allowed one vote per category. Your votes and identity will remain anonymous.
When are the winners announced?
At the end of each term.
What happens if my fanfic/fanart wins? Do I need to do anything?
Please send this blog or one of the mods your preferred email address so we can send your award banner to you as soon as possible. Otherwise, kick back, relax, and enjoy the feeling of being recognized for your hard work!
I want to nominate an artist/author who has won in the past. Are they still eligible to be nominated?
There is a Winner Ban in place. Once any piece of artwork or fanfiction has won an award for a category, it automatically becomes ineligible and cannot be nominated again for that category. However, it can be nominated for other categories after three consecutive terms have passed (ie: one year since that piece won) as long as it fits within that definition. We currently do not have a rule against nominating an author/artist back into the category they won for in the past, as long as it is a different piece of work that is being nominated.
I have a question that’s not listed.
Please feel free to send in an ask or a direct message to one of the mods and we will get back to you as soon as possible!
Rules of Eligibility
Fiction and Fanart published on any free site can be submitted for an award provided they meet all of the requirements of the nominations. These sites include, but are not limited to: Tumblr, Fanfiction.net, AO3, Deviantart, etc. If the validity of the site is uncertain, reach out to a moderator.
Multi-chapter fics must have been updated within the past 2 years of the nomination period. Fanart must have been created within the past 2 years of the nomination period. One-shots and drabbles must have been posted within the past 2 yearsof the nomination term.
If the work was posted onto several different locations, the earliest date and time stamp will be taken and checked against the current nomination period of eligibility. Stamps posted within reviews can be used to date a work and/or its chapters. Also, authors and artists will be contacted to verify timeframes if needed.
You cannot nominate yourself. Doing so will result in the nomination not being accepted and a warning from the award moderators.
You are only allowed to nominate one fanfic/fanart per category.
Each piece of Art or Fanfiction is allowed to be nominated into a maximum of two different categories per term. The nominations will be taken on a first come first serve basis, meaning that once a piece of Art or Fanfiction is nominated into two categories, it will not be allowed to be nominated into other categories, and each subsequent nomination will be rejected.
Each author/artist is allowed to be nominated twice per term. Meaning, an author/artist can only have a max of two of their creations be nominated per term. So be sure to pick your favorites carefully!
The work must be in compliance with the definition of the category into which it was nominated.
Both adult and non-adult fanfiction and artwork are acceptable for nominations.
Because of the nature of child-grooming and other potentially abusive traits, nominations of work that include a ship that pairs an older person with anyone who is canonically underage will not be accepted.
Categories
*Please keep in mind that these are subject to change pending participation and suggestions. There are 30 categories in all - 15 for Fanfiction and 15 for Fanart. Please adhere to each categories’ definition when nominating. If a nomination does not fit within the definition, it will be disqualified.

Please take note: The general idea is not the “best of what’s nominated” or “best of show.” It is a category created specifically for art appreciation. That means that even if the characters are OOC, AU, or not drawn in anime style, etc., the ART itself is worthy of praise.

7. Post a link to your favorite whump fic of all time (or reblog it and/or make a list of them!)
I have read and reread so many fanfics it's hard to pick just a few of them! This list has taken me all day to narrow down. I've gone with the ones that I couldn't put down once I started, the ones I keep going back to to read again and again, the ones that gave me so many feelings I cried. And I KNOW I'm going to forgot one because I just read so damn many stories. Here's what I can think of right now:
Soldier's Heart by Alex51324 (Downton Abbey)
Crystals by OkamiShadau98 (Lucifer)
Castaway by ariaadagio (Lucifer)
warming of a heart by Alexlively88 (The Witcher)
Holding this Breath by attackfish (Avatar the Last Airbender)
Salvage by MuffinLance (Avatar the Last Airbender)
You can take the boys out of Neverland by WinkyCutto (Once Upon a Time)
And because this is IMPOSSIBLE to narrow down and I know I'm missing some favs, I'm just gonna go ahead and plug my Fanfic Masterlist where I have all my favorite fics categorized by fandom and character (and I'm working on categorizing by tropes as well). There's over 2,000 fics here so please give a look. Recommend you open in broswer/desktop as it is a large google docs file.
