I have a couple of requests to go through 😭😭 and so many ideas for fics.

I have one fic in mind in particular, that might have darker topics, and self inserts can only do so much, so I might make an OC for this one because I'm really stretching the capacity to self insert a reader.

Misfit AU: Yuma Kokohead

The new, young detective rookie that has joined the Nocturnal Detective Agency. A kind, young man who aspires to be a detective to bring happiness to others, especially in Kanai Ward. He is actually a prodigy when it comes to being a detective, even if he sometimes makes some morally-ambiguous choices (not like he enjoys it either), but is held back due to his lack of confidence and his shaky desire of whether or not he wants to continue (or in his mind deserves) to be a Detective. His Forte is Coalescence, which is the ability to connect with other Fortes and even use them, but only if he holds hands, something he is kind of reluctant to do. He may be one of the kindest, most empathetic person you will ever meet, but he also has many secrets he tries to hide from everyone, even his loved ones. Some even go as far to dip into ‘dark secrets’ territory.

Yuma was once a normal, happy kid who lived in a village with his mom not too far from Kanai Ward. But when he has just turn into a teen, Amaterasu came to the village to buy the land for Kanai Ward, and his mom ends up dead when trying to investigate the corporation dealings. From there, his life turns completely upside down from the laid-back, village life he once lived in. But at least he is not alone, as he has a spirit companion by his side named Shinigami, the God of Death from the Book of Death that his mom’s family has protected for generations, and his best friend Makoto Kagutsuchi, the mysterious adopted son of the CEO of Amaterasu. With the Death pact inbound, he becomes the ‘Death Detective,’ a mysterious Detective known for being able to expose any mysteries in Kanai Ward, no matter how much the culprits and the Peacekeepers try to keep it that way. But solving these mysteries comes with the price of the culprits’ death, something Yuma is not a fan of. Even more so when he learns why multiple criminals turn down the dark path to begin with. So now Yuma wants to find a way to solve mysteries without using the Mystery Labyrinths, and in hope to help the people of Kanai Ward out of the darkness they are trapped in.

Now if only someone can help pull Yuma out of the darkness as well…

came up with an absolutely devious scenario for my fic. it both elevates the story through conflict and character building, AND fixes a plot hole i had regarding me completely forgetting the existence of a very important weapon in the possession of one of the characters

It's been a while since I've finished a piece, and I ended up having a lot of fun with this one. Very much considering doing a similar one for Rhys and Alyss, and maybe one for Sweets and Vincent. Still not sure.

Since I haven't talked about any of my OCs here, have a bit of info about these two under the cut:

Emmerich (left) is a Third Eye Human; someone who has been "Touched" (has come in contact with) or altered in some way by an eldritch entity. In Em's case, the entity lives in a pocket dimension inside of his motorcycle helmet, and they've formed a close bond. When a being becomes a Third Eye, they usually go through some sort of physical changes, and for Em this mostly involved his eyes and the addition of more forming on the right side of his face over time, which he usually keeps hidden by his hair. He's able to communicate with it wordlessly by being able to sense its wants, needs, and intent, and it does the same with him, though no one knows where this entity came from or why it's living in a helmet, and it seems to want to keep that info to itself. Em is unsure how he hasn't gone completely mad yet from repeated exposure and contact with the entity, but he does know that it isn't hostile towards him or his friends for some reason.

Lucian (right) is a half-demon incubus who died many years before the story of Within begins. After he served the length of his punishment, he somehow convinced Hell's council to let him leave and get revenge on the man who killed him. One of the archdemons in the Lust Ring sired him, giving him the powers of a demon and an incubus while still keeping half of his human self intact, and he was basically given a free pass to move back and forth between Hell and the mortal realm for a price he's unaware of. He meets Emmerich pretty early on and promises to help him through a rough situation that reminds him of his life many years ago, his human half feeling a great amount of sympathy for Em. He keeps his hands and the lower half of his face covered with padded gloves and any kind of face mask (usually preferring his black handkerchief,) hiding his Mark of the Demon from the general public. His mark has left much of the flesh of his face burned away, showing only sharpened teeth and bone with long scabbed over burnt flesh, with a serpentine tongue hidden inside. His arms also look like they've been burned and covered in soot, with his nails sharpened into claws.

Going back to this post where I just rambled on about wanting Silver to get possessed during the Endless Halloween Nights for the father and son angst.

I’m just thinking up a another scenario where towards the end of the Ultimate Halloween Party, before Silver had talked to Lilia, Silver wanders off or something and ends up getting possessed by a more vengeful ghost that doesn’t want any part of the Halloween party and wants to use Silver’s body to go to the living world.
