hello! it's amy! if you follow my personal account, you'd already know what this is. body double is a side project that i do for fun inbetween infamous, just for when i need to refresh my brain! i decided to make a blog for it so i don't flood my personal account with this game lol.

This game is a side project that I do when I need inspiration for Infamous. That means development on it will be sloooow. Infamous is my main priority right now!

Body Double is a an interactive story that takes place in a cyberpunk inspired world where top secret operatives of an elusive Cypress Industries have the unique ability to jump bodies.

Agent Sawyer is the best Agent in the business, tasked with protecting Cypress Industries and all of its assets.

Until three weeks ago.

Framed for the president's murder and in a last-ditch effort to save their ass, they switch bodies with our regular, ordinary IT-tech MC...who is now walking in the body of a suspect the entire city is looking for. Stuck in a citywide manhunt, MC is now on the run with a pesky Agent who refuses to tell them where their body is. To make matters worse, Agent Sawyer's subconcious is stuck in their head, speaking to them like a pest MC can't shake off.

Wonderful.

With a help of a host of characters from Sawyer's past and MC's present, MC will have to throw themself in a conspiracy to clear Sawyer's name and get back to normal. Relatively. No pressure.

The usual IF stuff: customize your mc from personality to appearance. Unsurprisingly from me, BODY DOUBLE is a character driven story with a focus on relationship dynamics, angst and drama...but this time with action.

Mold Sawyer in the prologue and be stuck with them in your head for the rest of the story. Are they humorous? Stoic? Vulgar? Emotional? Arrogant? You decide.

Romance characters like Sawyer's ex (messy) or the human-mech hybrid trying to kill you (messy) or your measly IT tech friend who has no idea what the hell is going on but they're a trooper. Or an AI. Your call.

Try to uncover a conspiracy and solve a murder in a cyberpunk setting.

Don't die?

SAWYER [RO][customizable]: the agent accused of murder. The wires get crossed when they switch bodies with you, and somehow you have their subconcious in your head. They refuse to switch back until you help clear their name even though you're in their body, which means people are after you now. Asshole move, really.

ROACH: Sawyer's twin brother and perpetual hermit. As a hacker, he has eyes all over the city. He also misses his sibling, so he's determined to see it through.

AGENT BECK [f or m] [RO]: A cool and intimidating fellow Agent of Cypress Industries...and Sawyer's ex partner. Sawyer dumped them, broke their heart, and since then, ghosted them (as one does.) With that said, Beck is determined to help you. And them. Just make sure to try to ignore the longing looks they send your way. It's not towards you, of course.

CAI [RO] [f, m or nb models] : Cypress AI or CAI is Sawyer's former field partner. Honest, cold and emotionless, you can't believe CAI is actually helping you. It must be going against their every makeup to go against Cypress, but having someone like them on your side is beneficial, at least.

HAWKE [m][RO]: the mech-human hybrid tasked with hunting you down. Well, hunting Sawyer down. Their one mission is to see you (Sawyer) dead, which poses a problem so as long as you're in this body. So there's that.

SOLANA [f][RO]: the elusive club owner...and the last person to see the president alive. You can't tell if Solana is an ally or an enemy, but you do know the one thing that drives her is power. Good to keep an eye on her, anyway.

AXL [nb] [RO]: the wealthy child of the now dead president and new heir of Cypress Industries. They hate your (Sawyer's) guts. They have hired all the best operatives and assassins to take you (Sawyer) down, and will stop and nothing to get their justice. If only you could convince them otherwise...

MAV [f or m] [RO]: your best friend and fellow IT employee. A trooper, who decides to be your sidekick on this weird...journey. No biggie. Make sure they don't die.

LawLu HC: Bedroom Preferences

As fans, we all have our own HCs and preferences for our ships. Some like fixed ships and others like switching

With this ship, I prefer LawLu instead of LuLaw or them switching. They're all interesting dynamics but for me, I prefer them as a fixed couple with Law as the top and Luffy as the bottom

Granted, I dont think they'd bother with sex all that much. Certainly when the mood strikes them and they can be downright horny and obscene when that happens but mostly? They just like spending time together, getting into stupid situations and literally be attached by the hip

Lots of cuddles though. Lots and lots of cuddles

Oh, and kisses too! Can't forget that!

As for their sex dynamic, I see Law as a top. He discovered that he prefers topping after experimenting in his youth (and maybe some dissections 🤣) that bottoming just turns him off. He rarely ever indulges in sex though before Luffy but whenever he does, he's calculated and in control

With Luffy though? He's a lot like an alpha in rut similar to those in the omegaverse. After they met, he's learned to let go and just have fun with Luffy, even letting out his sadistic side to Luffy's gleeful delight

Which is another reason why Law very much prefers topping. This is because he loves to vivisect people, using his hands (fingers especially, because c'mon! his long and very talented fingers should never be ignored here!) to pick and even tearing them apart until his partner's an absolute writhing mess. He's got a sadistic streak a mile wide after all but its something he rarely lets out completely until he got together with Luffy

They both thrive on a challenge and that very much translates into the bedroom too

As for Luffy, sex just flies over his head and most of the time, he's either disinterested, confused or even disgusted in some cases. Whenever someone tries to explain it to him (Usopp and Brook are the usual culprits), Luffy tends to have a blank look on his face. When he was on Amazon Lily, the women even tried to explain it to him too especially with Hancock being infatuated with him and all. But in the end, Luffy comes to the conclusion that he's not interested in topping and finds it a hassle

If anything, he says in 'Luffy Logic' that if he tops then he won't ever feel full even if he 'eats' his partner since he'll be the one giving and he doesnt think he'll be sated or satisfied if he tops.

But if he bottoms, then he'll get to eat and will definitely be full since he'll be filled until he's ready to burst! (cue blushing face palms by everyone around him 🤣)

In the end, Luffy was right in the assumption that he'd prefer to be the bottom when he and Law got together. As to how? Well....long story short: just a simplified sex ed by his overqualified doctor of a lover with a hands on demonstration. Sex becomes easier to understand after that for Luffy, mostly because he only ever thought of it after meeting his Torao though.

To put it simply, if its not with each other then, neither Law nor Luffy are interested in sex

So yeah, whenever the mood strikes them, you can bet people would steer clear from the crazy captain duo. Because honestly, no one wants to witness a giggling power bottom and his quiet yet sadistic power top get their freak on after all 🤣

Ik the poll was for a week but it was only supposed to be for a day and I checked to see sanzu winning so yeah so here I am writing for sanzu.

Haruchiyo Sanzu (bonten) x psychiatrist reader, dynamic being similar to the famous Joker and Harley Quinn dynamic.

A psychiatrist intern that was hired to help in an asylum full of criminals..

They usually succeed in changing the behavior of those criminals so she is highly respected. They're portrayed to be nice and open...and well accepting.

The life they had was perfect.

That all changed when a new patient was admitted into the asylum.

"Dr [Last name]!" A man shouted at them.

"Ah Hey Robert...what can I help with now?" They said, an innocent smile plastered on her face.

"We have a new patient and we were thinking maybe you could handle him?" She looked at Robert with confusion.

"Who is this patient exactly? Could you give me his documents?" Robert handed her the documents of this said patient.

"We don't have much on him so the documents won't really help but most of us can't really handle him..."

She rolled her eyes. "The patient can't be that bad," she opened the file but was stunned to see who this said patient was.

Akashi Haruchiyo, better known as Sanzu Haruchiyo. Ranked as the top 2 of the criminal organization named bonten. He was known as insane that's for sure.

What confused her even more was that bonten members weren't really easy to catch so how did Sanzu...managed to get caught in the first place?

"Earth to [Name]?" She broke from her trance and let out a "hmm".

"Do you think you could handle him?"

With a smile as well as confidence she replied.

"I'm sure it won't be that bad!"

Now she's in a room. A room that's actually quite messy and uncleaned. Usually the rooms would be cleaned and white but this one had stained walls and dirty floors.

She didn't really notice her patient sitting in a chair but when she did...she saw him tied up to that said chair.

She looked at him, what meant to be a quick glance ended up being a whole observation. To say she was mesmerized was not a lie. He was quite the charm....

"Done checking me out Doctor?" He taunted and raised his head up. A smirk plastered on his face. He had pretty unique features like the diamond scars on the edges of his lips and his sea green eyes makes her want to fall in.

"I was not checking you out..." She said....although it clearly seemed like a lie. The said patient scoffed. "Keep telling yourself that Dr [Last name]..."

This was day one, and he's already driving her crazy...and not in a bad way actually.

As days passed on....she didn't realize that she was slowly falling for this madman. Although she said she wasn't getting attached she was..and she just kept telling herself that she was helping, curing him.

Entering the said room, there he saw him still tied to the chair.

"good morning Doctor..."

She laughed. "Good morning to you too"

"What did you bring me this time huh doctor [last name]," he asked. "I didn't bring you anything today... we're just going to do our daily session of talking, is there anything I can help with?"

Sanzu smiled deviously. "You know....there is something you could do for me, doctor," he added.

With no hesitation she replied. "Anything....I mean yeah!"

He looked at you that devious grin still on his face. "I need a machine gun.."

She wasn't even perplexed but more shocked. "A...a machine gun?" Sanzu laughed like the mad man he is.

Giving him the machine gun was something she regret doing because now the other patients have managed to escape.

"LET GO LF ME!" She shouted as two men held her down on a mattress in the asylum. "Well look what we have here~" Sanzu's taunting voice echoes in the room.

A bright light was then shined down on her face. "I did everything you said, I helped you!"

Sanzu laughed at her like a maniac would. "You helped me...by erasing my mind with the few faded memories I had!" He shouted at her while hitting the mattress with both his hands at the said on her head.

"you left me in a black hole of rage and confusion darling~ is that the medicine you practiced doctor?" He walked to a different direction and came back. He was holding something but she can't tell what it was.

"What are you going to do? Are you going to kill me Haru?" She said anticipation written on her face with a mix of fear in her head. "what? No~ I'm not going to kill you..." He assured. "I'm just going to hurt you... really really bad~"

"You think so? Well I can take it," she admitted. Sanzu smiled at her. "Oh how I adore you.." he then tied your mouth using a belt. "This is just going to hurt a little bit~"

A few days later after that incident, she could still recall what had happened. Her brain was messed up...he shocked her. Ever since then she couldn't think properly. "what is wrong with me?" she asked. A message was sent to her phone. It was from Sanzu.

'meet me at the abandoned facility doctor [name]. I'll be looking for your presence'

[Name] promised that she wouldn't meet up with him again but could she really resist. So stupid enough she went there.

When she arrived, she saw a pool of chemicals. She was really high up. "I knew you'd come," Said a voice from behind.

She turned around to see no other than Sanzu. "You really couldn't resist me~" anger took over [Name] that she pulled out a gun and pointed it at him.

"aw...you wouldn't do it~i know you won't," he was right you couldn't. You've fallen deeply for him that you can possibly kill him.

"Say [Name] would you...die for me?" That question lingered in her head for a few seconds and she looked at him with eyes glistening with desire.

"Yes.."

"That's too easy....would you, would you live for me?" That question left her perplexed, but she thought it through and nodded her head.

He looked at her with that same devious smile. "Careful darlin...don't say this oath thoughtlessly," he caressed her cheek. "Desire become surrender and surrender becomes power~"

"Do you want this?"

"I do,"

"Say it then...oh pretty pretty pretty pretty-"

"please.." she pleaded. "God you're so...so obedient~"

She stepped away from him. Looking down to the pool of chemicals. She looked at Sanzu one last time. With a smile on her face she purposely fell off the ledge and into the pool of chemicals.

Sanzu was about to leave her but he couldn't. He looked down to the pool of chemicals and took off his coat. He couldn't just leave [Name], not when she devoted her life, her sanity for him so he jumped down to get her.

Starting there [Name] [Last name] lost all sanity just for him, a mad man that probably won't love her back. She was devoted to him and saying she regrets being loyal to him was a lie.

She was then part of bonten being the title of Sanzu's woman. Some of the executives thought she was crazy for falling for sanzu but they were right she was crazy falling for him and she couldn't care less. She knew Sanzu never loved her really but he really seemed to adore that woman.

At the end of their twisted love story....

In every timeline whether good or bad~

They assumed they were bound to meet.

You took a week to mull it over. To really consider your options and what the best approach to this conversation with them would be. Eventually, when you've given yourself headaches from trying to predict the future, you cave in and text the trio knowing you can't continue to delay the inevitable.

You're not sure who responds to you. It's short and whoever it is doesn't sign off like they usually do.

Maybe Marc or Jake. When the trio is anxious Jake usually has to deal with things but it's possible Marc is taking the wheel since he's known you the longest. You're almost certain the text isn't from Steven, he always uses full sentences with proper punctuation and capitalization when he texts. He's also pretty fond of exclamation marks and emoticons. A text from Steven would probably look more like 'Sounds great! See you then! :)'

Jake seems the most likely sender of the text, but it really doesn't matter either way. They'll be there and you need to address all three of them anyway. When you walk into the cafe, they're already there and they stand up when you walk over to them.

"Y/n! Hey!" It's Marc who greets you and gives you a hug.

"Hi, Marc. Thanks for coming." You say taking a seat across from him.

"Wouldn't miss it for the world. We're happy to see you. Steven was starting to get super worried." Marc says.

"Oh was he?" You chuckle.

"Yeah, you know how he gets." Marc shrugs.

"How I get?! I wasn't the one checking our phone every ten minutes. He was way more anxious about this than I-"

"Steven. I know." You cut off his rambling with a chuckle even though the sudden switch caught you by surprise.

"You know?" Steven blinks at you.

"Of course I do. Marc isn't as subtle as he thinks he is." You muse.

"Oh- okay." He says.

"Would you like to stick around for this or do you want Marc or Jake to come out before I get into the details?" You ask.

"I- I take it I'm not going to like how this conversation goes? If you're offering me an out?" He frowns.

"I'm not sure actually."

"You're not sure? I thought you called us here because you made a decision?" He tilts his head.

"I did. Kind of. Actually, I have some questions to ask first. I'm only offering you an out because I know you don't like dealing with unfamiliar territory and I don't think this will be a very comfortable conversation." You say.

"Questions for who?" Steven asks.

"Well, technically all of you."

"Well it wasn't nice of you to cut him off like that Jake." You frown.

"He'll be fine. Y/n, what are you suggesting?"

"I'm suggesting that you learn how to share. All three of you."

"Share?" Jake raises an eyebrow at you.

"The best chance for all of you to have a happy, healthy, fulfilling, long-term relationship is to date one person. That or you- take turns for the rest of your life for who will be able to pursue romance. This separate but equal life y'all have been trying to maintain will not work here. You date one person, who knows all of you and loves all of you or only one of you gets that happy ending because you can't expect three women to date three minds in one body. In that scenario, nobody is getting it all and you are spread entirely too thin." You sigh.

"So, what does that mean? For you." Jake crosses his arms.

"For me? Nothing. It doesn't have to be me that you choose. I just think it would be better for you all to find one person that you're willing to go through that kind of experience with. I mean clearly, despite having very different personalities there are interests that you share in a partner evidently. So I think you should look for- for somebody that could love all of you because you are a system- you work best together even if you don't think so. I've seen it."

"So you will not make a choice? Is that what I'm understanding here?" He asks and you shake your head.

"I won't choose one of you. I can't do that because it creates a very complex situation for everyone involved. Have you even thought about dating the same person before?"

"This is as intertwined as our dating lives have ever gotten. I mean- you know I don't date for a myriad of reasons and Steven can hardly start a conversation with a woman and Marc- he's equally as hopeless in a very different way. We haven't talked about dating really because we don't think about it. Too much else is going on." He shrugs.

"Are you against it?" You ask.

"Sharing a partner? We- we have never thought about that until just now when you brought it up." Jake says. You watch his eyes flick down to the mirror and he makes a face at something Marc or Steven said.

"What if we wanted to do it- with you?" It's Marc that asks you this question. You're surprised they switched out, since Marc was really only around to say hello you almost thought he'd stay inside for the whole conversation.

"What?" You blink.

"What if we wanted to date you? All of us. I mean- you've already been on dates with each of us, you've always cared for all of us- do you think, do you think you could be that person we choose to try that experience with? You said you won't choose one of us over the others so- what if we didn't want you to choose?"

"Just to be clear I didn't bring this idea to you as a loophole for me. You don't have to date me. I want you all to be happy and this just seemed like the most reasonable way to ensure that." You say.

"I know. We know. But we also don't want to look for someone else. We- our hearts, heart? Our feelings are for you. We have no interest in suppressing them or trying to replicate them with someone else. We think- we, us and you, work well together. Plus I honestly don't think Jake would consider dating anyone else anyway." Marc says and you can't help but chuckle at the last bit.

"And you're sure? This is what you want? All of you?"

"Do you want to hear each of us say yes?" Marc asks. You pause for a second trying to decide if his suggestion is serious.

"That would help honestly." You nod.

"Okay. I dunno if you wanna hear me say it since I'm the one suggesting it to you but I want this." Marc says.

"Yeah, I gathered." You giggle.

"I hate to admit it but he's right I have no interest in dating anyone else. It's you or no one. At least for me." Jake says albeit a bit grumbly.

"Just so we're clear, you understand I'd be not only your girlfriend but Steven and Marc's too, right?" You ask.

"It was me you brought up the sharing a partner thing to in the first place muñequita, I get it. I think you're right, but I'm only in if it's you. We are best with you." Jake says.

"I don't think you need me to be your best, but I appreciate the sentiment."

"Do not start with me." Jake warns but before he can say anything else, Steven nudges his way to front.

"I'm in as well. I'm not- assertive the way Jake is or smooth like Marc, but- if you'll have me-"

"Steven I have never thought of you as less than Jake or Marc. I care for you the same as I do them and you don't need to be like them. I want you to be you. I don't need two Jakes and I certainly don't need two Marcs. I do need one Steven though. Okay?" You look at him and hope your eyes show the sincerity of your words.

"I can definitely work with that."

"I hope so- I've already hand-picked you for it." You smile which Steven returns.

"So, will you be our girlfriend? Mine and Jake's and Marc's? Now that it's clear we're all on the same page about being with you."

"I would love to be your girlfriend." You giggle.

"We should take you on a date. As a unit this time as opposed to what we did before." Steven says.

"Sounds good." You nod. "This time I'm planning it." You add after a moment.

"Now wait a damn minute-" Marc scoffs.

"Nope! You each got to plan a date for me. It's my turn now that is only fair." You say.

"We asked you though." He says.

"We're dating now who cares? We'll take turns planning dates." You shrug and stand from the table. You walk over and kiss his cheek. "I have to get back to mine. I have work to finish. Since you're no longer in competition, you can discuss your dates with each other. I'll text you when I've figured out our plans for the next one." You tell them.

"We can see you before then, right?" Marc asks.

"Of course, you can. Come over later if you like." You say grabbing your bag and your mirror.

"We'll call!" Steven shouts after you as you leave. You blow him a kiss over your shoulder and then you're gone. As nervous as you were about it, this is the only outcome you were hoping for when you texted them last night. You can't imagine another way this ended that would have you as happy as you are right now.

I have an incredible hot take after witnessing live action sanji in all his glory for two episodes:

live action sanji actually has the looks that anime sanji seems to think he has

and before anyone tries to fight me on this:

I am highly aware that we all share our communal delusion about what anime sanji's personality is and should be (I mean, mine got so far out of character that I made a whole queer original comic out of it), but *actual canon-sanji*, however messy and weird and problematic he might be, sure does have the incel personality that desperately wants to be this chad, and isn't, and is mad about how twinky and pretty he is instead.

He wants that dress to not suit him when they force it on him on kamabakka, wants to look ridiculous in it rather than more passing than any of the other girls there. He wants to be a big strong man who gets the girl on manly prowess alone, not on the soft-boy charms that his actual successes with girls end up hinging on.

He wants to be that kind of man and he isn't, and live action sanji *is*.

And we can sit here, on our out-and-queer high horse, and insist he shouldn't have all that internalised homo-/femmephobia about himself, that he should just learn to embrace who he is and live his best life as he is, as he could as a pirate, but as Oda writes him he simply isn't that. He's this. Or he wants to be. (And I continue to believe Eiichiro "went to a drag show once and was like ye I got it" Oda is frankly not qualified to write this mess' queer liberation.)

Hence, wildly, reimagining him as this guy, who is so very differently built from the sanji we know, is maybe the only way to "fix" him without changing the existing plot. To legitimise his behaviour and make it less self-destructive for our poor queer eyes and less problematic cause at the very least he can back it up.

Should he be incessantly hitting on women who are obviously not interested in him? No. Obviously not. Is it less pathetic when he's actually able to embrace who he is and be himself while doing it rather than trying to posture as something he isn't? I mean, yeah. A healthy self-image goes a long way to prevent inappropriate behaviour. I say this both as someone who has dealt with my share of straight men I wasn't interested in, and as an mra who's done plenty of research into how (cishet) men function and why they're like that.

Will this mean we can't apply our usual zosan dynamic to the live action version 1 to 1 cause we've switched who's the buffer one out of the two this time? Sure. Will it mean any crossdressing or trans HCs can't rely on his pretty little face anymore cause this one wouldn't be passing as easily? Yes. Am I willing to sacrifice those fanfic tropes in this one iteration to see a healthier canon sanji for once? Abso-fucking-lutely.

tldr: I have been won over, I support the casting choice, I think it was the only way to make it work in the year of our lorde 2023 without changing the story

Oooh well now that's an interesting one. I can't truly separate the two in my mind, their stories are so finely entwined, it's like they have been married for longer than they can remember. Or perhaps something akin to what marriage might be for two such as them~ However, I have written just Raphael and Tav on their own too. As well as the huge Halloween orgy with Haarlep, oh that one was so delicious to work on it practically wrote itself through feverish fingers~ As a summary of my Cambion and Incubus content on my AO3: ATG 4 - Dream? Nightmare Raphael and Tav meet in a "dream", alone. There's no sex, but there's longing and tension, a building of their dynamic. ATG 7 - Love? Lust Raphael and Haarlep, showing their dynamic on their own together, with some hints of how Raphael is feeling about Tav ATG 9 - Mouse? Rat and ATG 10 - Cat? Claw In 9, Tav arrives at the House of Hope desperate to find help for a missing companion, but what she finds instead is an incubus with the same voice as the cambion she was looking for and an interesting offer. 10 is where Raphael comes home to find Tav in his bed with his incubus, and ends up joining in. ATG 11 - Deal? Done and ATG 12 - Friday? Freaky In 11, a bored Haarlep has a devious plot and entices Tav into joining. She's not sure why she agrees at first, but the details of the deal are far enough in her favour to be worthwhile. 12 is the continuation where Haarlep's plan comes to fruition as the pair of them trick Raphael. This one is a personal favourite for the plot and how the little game plays out for all 3.

Tricks and Treats in the House of Hope This is a Halloween special, in which Haarlep invites Halsin, Tav, and Astarion to join their masquerade party. Raphael is there, but not as active a participant as he might want to be... This one is "the orgy special" as we have group sex with the 4 main mentions. The Sleepless Dream This one is a standalone one shot of Haarlep x Reader, where they're appearing as your sleep paralysis demon. Short, only a little spicy, and maybe inspired by a bout of insomnia. The Mouse Trap Pure Dom Raphael with a bratty f!Tav. Just wish fulfilment for those who prefer an entirely Dominant cambion flavour compared to my usual Spicy Switch writing for him. Gala of the Damned A prequel to the game events, this is Raphael and Haarlep in their standard interactions together. The push and pull of Raphael holding the power, until they are back in the bedroom in the House of Hope, the place where Haarlep has all of the control in their claws once more and can take revenge. Tavylia's Short Drabbles Requests and practice shorts that didn't become full length fics, but deserved to be preserved and shared. Our fiends appear in chapters 1, 3, 4, and 6 so far. I even wrote the "canon accurate" of "Raphael is bad in bed" as a request for this and I hated it but wanted it to be fun anyway.

OK that is my entire catalogue (so far) of works featuring Raphael and/or Haarlep - each title is a link to the AO3 page where you can find the whole work. ATG is a larger series with ongoing continuity, which is available as single chapter works collected into a series, or there is one single work with all the chapters put together but I found that one doesn't allow for accurate tagging of each chapter unfortunately. If you, or anyone else reading this, has a request fic for pretty much any main/major/recurring characters (other than Dammon and Minsc, who I will only write SFW for), please do let me know. I have a few on my list to get through, but I find them fun and enjoyable whether they stay as a short drabble or grow to a full size work. Alex Turner opens up about The Car, Arctic Monkeys' 20th anniversary album

The frontman of the British band that performs at Primavera Sound, in São Paulo, invests in more abstract lyrics in new album

Alex Turner is not satisfied with the lighting in the room chosen as the setting for our interview. It's a small, cozy hipster hotel in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles, one of those above a cafe with tables occupied by young people at the computer, and no lines at cash registers that don't accept cash.

The frontman of Arctic Monkeys, the biggest rock band to come out of the UK in the last 20 years, flips the switches until he finds the perfect balance of light. "Is this okay for you?" he asks, but doesn't seem to care too much about the answer.

Turner likes to have complete control over his environment. "Where do you want to sit? This will be the best place, right?" he asks, coffee in hand, already standing in front of a small beige table below the lamp that insisted on not emanating the adequate light.

Shy to the point of never completing a full sentence, as if his mouth didn't keep up with his fast brain, Turner is acutely aware of his obsession with control and attention to detail, something that has only grown bigger in the last few years at the helm of the band. But the singer, guitarist and songwriter lived something different in the creation of The Car, the group's seventh album, which will be released worldwide this week.

After composing the piano demos alone for much of the pandemic, he was reunited with the rest of the band over the summer of last year, in a secluded house that was part of a 12th-century monastery in Suffolk, on the east coast of England.

"We hadn't done that since the first album. I had extra film rolls and I took my 16mm camera to film everything and keep myself busy during the recording. At first, I just wanted to record the memory, but it seemed to help in the work environment, because I stepped out of the process a bit and gave everyone more space," he says.

"James [Ford, record producer] was delighted, because I wasn't looking over his shoulder all the time and being a twat."

The musician's hobby as a filmmaker was not the only novelty in the three weeks of work in the makeshift studio, complete with a piano borrowed from a resident there and the technological arsenal brought in from London. The period was essential for Arctic Monkeys to remember that they are still a rock group formed by friends.

"We had a lot of laughs and watched the Euro Cup together. It was important to have that band energy again," says Turner, revealing that Body Paint, The Car's latest single, only took its final form because of this camaraderie. "The distorted guitar at the end just came about because I wanted to do that solo with them. It sounds obvious, but being together changes the dynamics of how I play."

Ironically, the album's main theme seems to circle around characters that don't seem to fit the environment they're in. In Body Paint itself, which wouldn't be out of place in one of George Martin's orchestrated productions for The Beatles, Turner sings that he's "keeping on [his] costume and calling it a writing tool."

Jet Skis On The Moat, played on a sultry guitar and with a broken rhythm reminiscent of U2's The Playboy Mansion, brings a Hollywood psychedelic mood—"jet skis on the moat / they filmed everything in CinemaScope, but this is the last time you will ride them, though".

"I was imagining this perception of us living like rock stars in a fantasy castle on a mountain, riding jet skis, disconnected from everything," says Turner.

In I Ain't Quite Where I Think I Am, he seems to describe a strange trip on a luxury yacht off the coast of France, a country where he usually goes with his girlfriend, French singer Louise Verneuil, since he moved back to England from Los Angeles. "I spend less time here, but I love this city. It's where I have my friends," he says.

Extremely protective of his privacy, Alex Turner does not confirm any theories that could refer to his life beyond music. However, he admits that feeling like a fish out of water is one of the themes of the record. "I've definitely written this time about someone who doesn't fit in," he says as he pulls out of his green jacket two folded sheets of paper filled with his lyrics and assorted notes.

I question the reason for keeping this material around and the singer lets his guard down. "I think that this way I can have these conversations more easily, and stay on the same level as other people. You've read the lyrics, listened to the record, and I thought I should do the same to meet you in the middle," he says, soon bringing back up his good-humored defenses. "And it also serves to intimidate people."

Not that he seems to want to intimidate anyone. Turner can barely look up, more concerned with focusing on some object and finding the right words for his answers. Keeping the lyrics in your pocket serves to rediscover the words of the songs.

One of the most brilliant songwriters of modern British rock and someone who has managed to portray the yearnings and feelings of an entire millennial generation, he says his lyrics come out of the space between the conscious and the unconscious.

In The Car, they seem even more abstract. "I love leaving space for lyrics not to be fully understood and to become more interesting as the years go by. I like to explore things that are difficult to talk about."

Does that mean that Alex Turner, who, two decades ago, rehearsed in a garage with Jamie Cook on guitar, Andy Nicholson on bass, later replaced by Nick O'Malley, and Matt Helders on drums, in Sheffield, is finally noticing the inevitable passage of time?

"Funny, it's hard to accept that it's been 20 years," he says. "But we're alive and active. That happens a lot when I'm singing the old songs now. I remember something, not necessarily the lyrics, but the environment, a person and the sensations of the past."

A rich past, we must add. Arctic Monkeys have gone through several phases in these two decades. It began with the confessional hip-hop-enamored rock of the first two albums, a formula that propelled the group into the stratosphere of fame. It gained weight with the stoner rock of Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age on 2009's Humbug and the stadium hard rock of 2013's AM. And it culminated in the journey away from Earth in 2018's jazzy Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino.

The Car continues the sonic exploration of their previous work, but brings guitars back to the songs and a Turner interested in using his voice as an instrument. "I don't know if Alex from 20 years ago would like this sound," he wonders. "Secretly, I wanted something along those lines then, but it wasn't within my reach at the time. On second thought, I think he would like it. But if he wouldn't like it, then fuck it," he jokes.

He admits that he changed his way of looking at music and even composing. On previous albums, he wrote the lyrics and then thought of the melody. The music now comes first.

"I made an effort to put the lyrics in sync with a melody that gives me permission to use certain words," says the musician. "I didn't focus on that in the past, I think it started on AM, when I started to change the lyrics as I was influenced by the sound in the studio."

Back on stage since a few weeks ago, Turner believes the pandemic has changed the relationship between band and audience. "The first time we performed was powerful," he says. "There's a new energy that encourages me. I'm trying not to behave the same way on stage. I think some of that comes from the younger crowd."

Brazil is going to feel this in a few days. Arctic Monkeys closes the first day of Primavera Sound, in São Paulo, on November 5th, already oiling the show with a new repertoire. "When we arrive in Brazil, I want to test two new songs and leave some old ones behind," says the singer, who already says that the next album may come out faster than expected after the long gestation of The Car.

Unable to play shows, the group spent a year polishing up the album in post-production. "We had more time to work on the record and I like to think that this had a positive influence on the final result, as we had more space to hone, think and fight for certain ideas", says Turner. "I love the idea of doing something different, like writing, recording and releasing in a week. Maybe it's a fun idea for the next project."

anyways, i feel like people don't talk about their canonical story as much as they should because they're so interestingggg,

Snr being in the ministry and not w/ the deatheaters?? Barty getting involved with them through his time at hogwarts??? The trial flashback??? Bartys own trial??? Mrs. Crouch sacrificing herself for her son??? Snr openly hating his own son??? Snr locking Barty away for decades in his childhood home??? Barty killing Snr?? Barty going back to the deatheaters?? like helloooo????

the angst potential there is so good i wish people used it moreee,

in my mind i view their dynamic as; Snr meeting Bartys mom/Laura (I usually name her Laura so I'll probably just use that here) in Italy when they are young, probably around 18-19. Laura had been homeschooled as a witch there with her family, and she meets Snr and they actually have a very happy love story,

but as time goes on, Snr's drive for success within the ministry pulls the couple a part. Snr believes he knows Laura fully, and that she's an angel, which is not true! Laura is human person who makes mistakes, but Snr sees her as someone higher, so when she does makes mistakes he loses it. They have a child because of a societal expectations, Snr never wanted kids, he believes them having a child will only hold him back.

Barty is born, Snr doesn't pay him much mind, though he tries to get past his negative feelings to be a father to his son. He attempts to be a better father than his own father was to him, but as time goes on he starts to care less and less. I imagine something happens in the ministry, maybe he gets demoted, and he starts blaming Barty for those problems, as well as Laura too.

Barty attempts to get his fathers positive attention for most of his childhood, though he never gets it. His father uses curses on him, especially the imperius curse, to get him to leave Snr alone. Laura tries to get Snr to stop, because she loves Barty, but Snr won't.

Another thing I like to note is because of Snr's cruel treatment of his son, Barty is much closer with his mother. Though he, as well as Snr, start to see her in this perfect light, and is confused when she does something that is more siding with Snr than with Barty. I think it adds depth to the two of them, being similar like that, and it makes Laura quite the tragic character imo, so yk 🤭 i love tragedy

anywho, Barty isn't allowed to leave the house much as a child, his only way of refuge is books and studying, so thats what he does. He reads and takes notes, etc. This is one of the reasons why he decides to take on all of his OWLs when he's in Hogwarts.

id imagine Barty slowly gets involved with Deatheater stuff simply by association with his classmates, hearing them talk, being a part of things like that. He'll join the deatheaters with them, secretly.

when he turns 18 and graduates, he gets a job at the ministry per his fathers request, while still being in with the deatheaters. A year passes, and at only 19 he gets exposed during Karkaroff's trial, his father is shocked and so is his mother. During his own trial, (along with the Lestranges) he gets sentenced to Azkaban, both his mother and father are present.

his capture soon weakens Laura's health, and she becomes weak. She tells Snr her last request, which is to save her son from a life in Azkaban. Snr begrudgingly helps her with this, and she switches place with Barty. Barty resists at first, though his mother tells him everything will be okay, because his father will keep him safe. Laura doesn't know what Snr will do afterwards to keep Barty out of the Deatheaters and Voldemorts company.

Barty still remains a prisoner, although now one in his own home, his childhood home. He's barely 21 at the time, and he spends around a decade there. Snr mostly ignores him, only hearing of him from their house elf, Winky. She becomes Barty's caregiver, bringing him food and keeping him company. Barty would ask her for the current news, for books to keep him entertained, and simply just to be around. Though, Winky wasn't allowed to talk to him mostly, she would follow his requests, and would stay around sometimes.

Barty was the one to convince Winky to bring him to a quidditch match, she then convinced Snr, who begrudgingly accepted after being prodded quite a bit. Then...well yk most of the rest of the story, blah blah he escapes for a second, blah blah...yk the jist.

I also like to think that Barty talks to Moody while he's being held captive in the suitcase thingy. He doesn't have anyone else to talk to and he hasn't been out of captivity in a while, which is one of the reasons why people think Moody is acting so weird, as he's being freakishly antisocial and unaware of things. But Moody knows like a shit ton about Barty and his life, just because I think that would be fun lol,

Barty then kills his father finally in an act of revenge, something that had been replaying in his head for years...he'd been imagining that moment since forever. He finally kills the man who tormented him for his whole life, and he relishes in the fact of seeing that Snr is terrified of him now, bc finally Snr gets to feel the same way that he had made his son feel for Barty's entire life.

And then, Barty loses his soul from the dementors kiss, and he's all alone...yk i love that fact so much. Especially for those Slytherin Skittle fans, Barty dies last out of all of them, and he's all alone.

another thing id like to note is Barty's involvement with the deatheaters. I think that it was a mix of him being with the wrong crowd, as well as basically seeking them out. He's being abused and neglected by his father, and it causes him to act out more, and he finds these kids who are basically doing the same thing, so he joins them, and then follows them. He's just a child when he does, he's ignorant obviously, and i think that's what really gets to me about his character.

Barty is practically still a child when everything happens to him. He and a lot of the deatheater characters in the marauders era are just victims of being looped in as a child, if childhood ignorance and abuse. Even though the crouch family isn't involved in the deatheaters, Barty still seeks comfort in it because he can't find it anywhere else, which is just fkin heartbreakingggg,

i love this family so much, they're so goddamn interesting to me, i love barty angst and just his character in general, i would love to see more people explore it, and i will always continue to throw my bbg around like a ragdoll!!!

Continuing some from this post, but for our functional multiplicity / resolution, we do have some amnesia for things in the past and our present day memory isn't perfect and between parts we still do loose bits - but that is not experienced in any distressing, intrusive, or distressing manner as it is an inherent part of our state and form of functional multiplicity and I've seen that confuse some people as a lot of talk around functional multiplicity operates on the "complete remission of DID related symptoms" which it CAN be - but it really isn't that nor needed to be to that extent for our system.

Our system is stable and we have very limited to no notable conflict - our system morphs and operates very fluently with one another and switches relatively easy - usually there is at least 3 parts co-con at once - often going upwards to 6-8 at a time depending on if they're so much as interested in doing so. Internal communication is pretty solid and easy beyond actually "summoning" the part to be near and actually tune in so that we can talk. Parts being near the front and "tuned in" is more so a choice to either involve that part or not by both the unseen collective and the individuals as a parts of a collective.

In our functional multiplicity, the individuality of parts - specifically key parts - is a large comfort and aid to the current stage of our trauma healing and the parts in our system serve exclusively a healing function in dynamic with one another and we all work for the betterment of one another and the whole. We haven't had a real issue beyond occasional (and much less frequent) PTSD flashback and triggers and even when those get tense, it isn't a conflict of parts but a stress and worry about one another than against one another.

Additionally, the only roles we use that are formally used are "host" "gatekeeper" and "trauma holder" as they explain key dynamics that are relevant to supporting and recovering forward as all the other roles are either the resting state of all parts (caretaker and soothers and what not are just all of us by nature of peer support) or not needed (we don't need protectors as most of us can handle ourselves individually and we are no longer needing to "just survive").

We've cultured a strong sense of radical acceptance and unconditional care and love among the parts and those that can help do help and those that need help are given it - and while holding that radical acceptance - we also hold respect to the brain's decision to keep us in different parts and the inherent level of denial and dissociation between events that each part has as it gives a unique and strong perspective that gives us a bigger and better insight when we discuss the topics.

We simultaneously fully accept and respect the reality of the other part while fully accepting and respecting the reality of our own and living in our own space and we largely acknowledge that our life - and life in general - is full of subjectivity and our individual realities of the events we've been through are all simultaneously true even when they conflict. Those subjective differences form the foundation of our individual extreme strengths that we can then use to build one another up.

At some point we do likely intend to fuse down in numbers - a number of parts are working on it as their key traumas and burdens get resolved and they themselves feel as if their separated conscious no longer holds anything new to bring up or add to our situation - but as it is, we handle trauma and caring for one another better as separated parts of a whole.

Divide, specialize, and conquer of sorts - and Ray does a great job in managing us. It's honestly a really peaceful and enjoyable existence operating as such a smooth and oiled system. We all have our place that is not so heavily and formally defined but a sense of belonging and purpose in the system. We all do what we do and live where we live. No one is responsible for anything or anyone but also everyone is still there. It's not a job, or a role, or a duty, but simply just how things are. We're a family and a community and we care for one another solely on the principle of putting out our strengths as an offering to the whole team, knowing that the others would pay it back. If one of us is unhappy, we all are. If all of us are happy, each of us are.

We have a lot of trauma to work through still, like A LOT of it, and these days a lot of the system changes and dynamics are in preparation to best refine our team work and individual strengths as parts to better ready us to accommodate the higher needs parts.

I work on not only maintaining but polishing and increasing my self regulation, patience and mindfulness as well as my general coping and insight to what I care for and what helps me and those around me.

XIV takes on a lot of responsibility for understanding what we need and as he keeps expanding his understanding of the collective needs of the system, what matters to us and what can be improved - he is our best advocate and he then focuses on building his ability to understand and assist parts in getting what they need, but also to regulate his own anger that comes with being the part most aware of what we deserve.

Ray, Lucille, and Aderis - the core elders - have worked and slaved hard for the system during the crisis era and they inherently have great skill to be able to help and care for one another, their work then comes in learning to live for themselves and to let us and the other parts that they used to care heavily over make our own mistakes and develop independently into self sustaining parts of our own while still maintaining their presence and expertise for when things get dicey.

Lin is working on a fusion with another part that would better equipt him to travel and manage the heavier trauma holding parts between our side system and eventually fall into a role as the "gentle ambassador" between known long-dormant trauma holding parts that we have long since - both by the parts themselves and our talking active ones - decided to let sleep until we have a life that we know is better for them, worthy for them, and completely the secure life that they deserve.

There are a a lot more parts I could further explain into their individual projects to improving our system dynamic into that of a perfect healing environment for the trauma holders that we know sleep in the back - but that would take more time than I'm willing to put into this point.

As it is though, our system is functionally set less to survive and cope (the main fronting parts all have that individually on their own, having a system for that purpose does little than encourage a sense of learned helplessness at this point), but more so to build a home and a beautiful safe space so that when the time comes that our deeper more hurt trauma holders come up, that there is a beautiful world for them to join us in.

Compared to a few years ago when it was trying to learn the system, understand it, parse conflicts, butting heads over ways to survive and live with one another without killing one another, etc.... its honestly really fun. Like genuinely, its fun to be trying to improve and set a perfect home for the hurt kids that will eventually join us up here. It's a fun group project and we are all deeply engaged, invested, and dedicated to.

It's a very whole experience and healing experience and I really do love that I am able to live my life operating in my individual self with a number of really skilled, amazing, and insightful different versions of me to build this beautiful thing of life.

I dunno, I think the rhetoric around complete remission of symptoms, while totally valid and understandable, is a very black and white situation stemmed from the pain that early stages of healing comes from. Yes amnesia, not always being in the front, and what not, that isn't "normal" functioning, but my brain has never been normal functioning between autism, very early childhood trauma, OCD and C-PTSD and what not. Just cause its not "normal" doesn't mean its not distressing.

I'm not even saying this in a "we are allowed to be not miserable about our disorder", I genuinely mean that not only do I not find the DID aspect of my disorder distressing, but in reference to the PTSD - I find the DID aspect of my disorder incredibly healing and comforting.

I enjoy my life with DID at this stage in healing. It gives me a different perspective and deep insight into myself. There is no "but secretly I hate this aspect" because really, no, I don't think there is anything about the parts in my life and brain that I secretly hate. Yeah some of them do stupid shit, some of them are annoying, some of them are headaches, but I love that about them regardless and its those differences that make them amazing and interesting to engage with.

Anyhow, thats just a bit of a ramble on the topic that I wanted to go on.

I finished Piofiore: Episodio 1926 on Nintendo Switch a while ago. I enjoyed it a lot and it might be the best otome game I've played so far. There's a beefy amount of content in Episodio 1926 - I reached 100% completion in 70 hours. There's 6 love interest routes, each with two endings. In addition there's an "Alternativa" story route.

In this sequel we return to the city of Burlone, Italy. The game continues from the events of Piofiore: Fated Memories. The three competing mafia families Falzone, Visconti and Lao-Shu still hold control in the city but are facing an uncertain future due to political developments in the country. A religious relic has been stolen and the mafia families must join forces to fight a common threat. The protagonist Lili has a special role in the events as many parties' interests relate to her. This time you can freely choose from a menu which character's route you want to start playing (with exception of one that unlocks only after playing through the Alternativa story).

The story was pretty good and as a whole I liked it more than the first game. Episodio 1926 had its share of sleep inducing routes but some were really good. Nicola's and Orlok's routes with great story/lore portions rose above the others in my eyes. I recall Gilbert's route had some good stuff too. There was a decent amount of historical references and a lot of nice action scenes too.

I especially enjoyed the parts with depictions of violence and murder - which I assume is usually not the reason someone would pick a game of this genre. If you're into that kind of content too, Piofiore is a nice pick. At times it felt like the flow of the story/dialogue was interrupted with "Aria" (flashbacks from the prior game) and "Meanwhile" stories too frequently.

The dialogue was written nicely and I enjoyed the exchanges between the competing mafiosos. They're sort of friends, yet enemies and it creates some delightful dynamics and humor. However, there was one specific part in dialogue that felt out of place: Dante being worried that they possibly couldn't violate on someone's human rights. It made him look like a hypocrite - I've seen what happens in the Falzone basement. Henri's route had some really ridiculous dialogue that made me and my husband laugh in disbelief. Henri apparently thinks he's hung like an elephant.

The characters got a lot more depth in the sequel and Nicola ended up surprising me. I didn't care for him much in the previous game but here he got to shine. His actions really highlighted his intelligence and I liked his playful, mischievous attitude. In that regard he is similar to Yang who likes to rile up others for his entertainment. Yang is still Yang (thankfully) but he was a lot more docile here. Still an entertaining character and my favorite out of the love interests. Gilbert was my husband's favorite. Lili is still a kind-hearted damsel in distress but she's got the smarts to navigate difficult situations. She overcomes her fears and is ready to act to defend herself and the people she cares for.

What comes to side characters, there are plenty of new ones along with returning characters. They help build the lore and world by expanding on past and current events. Emilio's motives and backstory was a very welcome addition to the game as he was a mystery that intriqued me already in the first game. I liked all of the character designs and Lan ended up being my favorite side character with her energetic attitude. There was one particularly funny/good moment where Lili was upset with Yang and Lan got upset on her behalf too and encouraged Lili to display her irritation and act on it. That actually led to a heartfelt scene with some nice character development as well.

The Japanese voice acting for the characters is top notch and helps flesh out the characters' personalities. Emilio's and Yuan's voices annoyed my husband, haha. Gilbert's "yo Dante!" will forever live in our heads. Unfortunately the protagonist Lili is not voiced.

Music is mainly the same as in the first game. It would have been nice to get more new music but at least the tracks are pleasant and fit the events.

The game's visuals are a treat. From the beautifully crafted user interface to backgrounds and character portraits. Sadly there's no portrait for Lili when she talks. The CG illustrations are some of the best in the market. What really delighted me was the effort they've put into designing the clothing, jewelry and hair. We get to see Lili sporting various kinds of attire with incredible detail and her hairstyle varies too.

There is one thing that bothers me in the artist's style however: Lili's comically large eyes didn't quite fit the art style in my opinion.

I was pretty happy with the localization of the game. Now I don't know enough Japanese to judge the accuracy of the translation and I'm not a native English speaker but the text seemed well-written. Not much typos or errors. I remember a few occasions where a word or two were missing but luckily it didn't affect my ability to understand the gist of the sentences.

The biggest offender in the game was poor contrast. There were these memoir parts called "Aria" occurring throughout the game where white text was displayed on top of a background image without a dialogue box. It made it nigh impossible to read parts of the text when the text appeared on top of white/light parts of the image. Another pet peeve of mine was that the sequel continues with the grave sin of talking about food and never showing it. I just love looking at masterfully drawn food in games and not getting any of that left me sour.

I had such a good time with the game that I double-dipped on physical copies of both Piofiore: Fated Memories and Piofiore: Episodio 1926 after playing through the digital versions. I adored the characters and their interactions and I especially enjoyed the darker parts that helped with worldbuilding. Now that I've finished both games I feel slightly melancholic due to having to say goodbye to the characters. If that is not a sign of a good game, I don't know what is.

I think my husband became a Piofiore fan as well! He was partially watching me play through both games. During my Episodio 1926 playthrough he was inspired to start a new game in Rimworld where he created the Piofiore main characters and assigned suitable traits for each.

If they ever decided to make a third game in the Piofiore series, I'd buy it in a heartbeat! If Piofiore caught your interest, I recommend playing Piofiore: Fated Memories first, even though it's the weaker game out of the two.

I started rewatching House and have now rekindled that good ol hyperfixation, and I just wanted to stop by and thank you for providing Bottom House content. I am starving for it. It's weird because I'm not normally super picky about what characters are in what sexual positions/roles, but like. [Disclaimer: Everybody should have fun and read/write what makes them happy regardless of my own preferences, fandom is about having fun, I'm not out here trying to police how people enjoy shit blah blah blah]

...But on god I just cannot imagine watching this show and walking away with the interpretation that House is a confident dom top when it feels like every other episode shows him being such a bratty sub bottom. He's his usual brand of sarcastic about it all, but his sexual jokes and his general attraction to authoritative women... How he encourages his fellows to fight back against him and put him in his place if they think he's going off the rails or that they're right and he's wrong... The neediness... Come on! Man is such a bottom. And that's not even getting into Wilson's whole predisposition to just constantly soft dom House, or just how much more interesting I find it to explore House being a needy little sub while he also has to constantly face the ableism of everyone around him-- YES, he needs someone to make him heel and to express that kind of vulnerability around, but also Wilson and Cuddy do have this tendency to assume they know what he needs and approach his vulnerability in a condescending and (Wilson especially) morally superior kind of ableist way where they just "know so much better" than him about himself and his pain and his experiences. It can make for such engaging conflict and interesting exploration of themes in a way that I just don't really see in fics that position House as a cocky asshole dom top and Wilson as a blushing little softboi, and I often turn away from top House fics because House, Wilson, and their whole dynamic just feel ooc to me.

Bottom House is just more fun to me, personally. And more sexy, I'll admit. But there's such a startling lack of it! Babygirl's show has existed for almost a decade now, and he does not get railed nearly enough in fanfic! So I want you to know I appreciate and value your contributions to the cause. You are braver than any US marine.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Oh easily, Promise of Happiness! It's there in the name. And Loveless too! It's a good warm one with father-son bonding and aroace Fingon.

8. Do you get hate on fics? Nope. The only kind of silent readers writers are happy about are the outraged ones.

9. Do you write smut? Ah I really cannot imagine myself ever writing that. Smut and I are acquaintances and no more. I mean, as a reader I search it up once in a blue moon, but on a regular day, you cannot tempt me into even reading it, much less writing it. It's a skip for me.

10. Do you write crossovers? Again nope. I'm not a fan of crossovers either. I've read some brilliant ones, but I don't see the appeal myself... One canon universe is already too big for me to handle.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? I don't write that good for that to happen lmao. (But I once had my poetry stolen. It was a bot copying the site I posted on. I was so mad I got DMCA to hide the links from showing up in searches at least.)

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes! In the other fandom I write for, someone translated my fic into Vietnamese. Very happy for that.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? No... my writing habits don't allow a collaboration, it's too sporadic. But I beta read once or twice! It was nice.

14. What's your all time favourite ship? Me/my metaphorical pen. It's an on and off again, tragic ship with misunderstandings and periods of abandonment. It feels like unrequited love at times, but I hope it's not and that they can live hea 🥺. Jokes aside, as a reader, sure, there are many across various fandoms, but as a writer, I do not.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? This is a sinister question 😭 wdym I doubt I'll finish. I have every hope to finish it someday! The fic is To Learn Thy Song btw. My most ambitious project to date.

16. What are your writing strengths? Oh, one-liners easily. They're different from dialogues to me as they can also be set into narration. I get these singular lines in my mind and I centre whole fics around them. They're strengths as they drive my writing instead of hampering it. That said, I also believe characters and their inter-personal dynamics are a pillar I build my fics on.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? Besides writing itself 😅? Plot. I don't think I've ever written a fic with solid plot. I'm also quite slow with setting up and switching scenes. Mostly, descriptions and fillers are difficult for me.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogues in another language in a fic. I would rather use italics and bolded letters to convey different languages. Most readers, myself included, do not bother reading all those foreign letters, they just look for the translation instead at the bottom. One or two words, though, can enhance the reading experience instead of detracting from it.

19. First fandom you wrote for? Supernatural! Funnily enough, that fic is my most popular one. Though given the size of that fandom, it's not as surprising, but given the quality of my writing then? Very very shocking honestly!

20. Favourite fic you've written? Right now, Loveless. 💔

So I'm gonna ask the real question we're all wondering: out of the love interests and their dynamics with Joan, how many are shameless subs for them and how many are doms?
