Hi it's me from the Apollo & Daphne comment about Will and Nico in the Asklepios au, I'm not exactly sure what brought me to the comparison but I guess it's the way you sorta described their relationship in one of your other posts(?)

Assuming this is a finite to be written work, the story starts after will and nico have gotten acquainted. nico does his thing, begins as a weird unfriendly guy but after being acquainted becomes a good friend. they bond over losing their siblings and feeling responsible for their deaths, less of a "you did nothing wrong" and more of a "yeah that sucks balls" kind of empathy. then will learns that nico is a child of hades(the guy) and (after an orphic hymn infertility joke) has to fight the urge to use nico to bring people from hades(the place)/keep them from ever going there

in typical nico fashion he disappears like fully. will is reasonably concerned and tries to look for him whenever he isn't practicing and teaching medicine in case of impending war with a neighboring state? this part is funny and i want to say war is the conflict because battle is the usual conflict in the myth and history i've read and also in riordan's series itself. turns out the guy is dead. yippee! (probably some scene where will sees nico but its actually just the ghost or nico visits in a dream or will actually just finds the body preserved in snow. the last one's a little too intense)

That part just reminded me of D&A, Sorry If I'm not making much sense I just got out of school and I'm about to take a nap

Despite her not yet knowing who pursues her, Apollo seems to know exactly who she is, calling, "Wait nymph, daughter of Peneus, I beg you! I who am chasing you am not your enemy." He comments that she is running from him as prey would from a predator, but tells her that he is spurred on by love and a desire to be with her, not destroy her, so she should have pity on him. He then says that he is worried that she will be injured in the chase and cause him guilt, so if she slows down he will too, but she continues. I just see it ???

ohhh im picking up what youre putting down now yeah. the vibe of chase and intentions vs perceptions. the plot is slightly different now so i didnt see the comparison lol

#now nico is going to hazel's execution to act as defense and bc he's ousted his relations with the romans from before wartime #and before anyone else knew he tells will and chb that they can have his head after he tries saving his sister #since he's already lost that chance once #and he never returns and the camp assumes he's defected or otherwise fled #making him a wanted criminal #but no the execution was actually his own it was all a ploy #he manages to escape but succumbs to his injuries and dies #and will finds the body by chance months later #and then he gets brought back to life #so good thing is no one thinks he's died so no one would guess he was unpiously brought back to life #bad thing is people want him dead anyway #no escape or retribution once he is denied death sorta deal #i think a big distinctor is the amnt of info between them #in a&d daphne is completely unaware of who is chasing her and she has no means to verify his claims at goodwill #whereas apollo is fully aware of who she is and what he wants to do with her #my attempt is getting a relationship in which both parties exchange information on the same level

Ghost Prince!Jason.

..... ghost prince!Jason where when Jason died instead of waking up in his own door room (headcanon doors are private rooms all ghosts gain once dead, its their safe spot, rooms can expand into lairs if the ghost gets strong enough) he wakes up in the Ghost King gardens.

He's found and taken to (older) King Danny who takes one look at the newborn baby ghost, (verbally) rips into his guards for manhandling a baby, and offers Jason a place to stay while they try to locate his room so he can recover and stable his core. (That's why ghosts stay in their rooms upon being made until they're strong enough to leave and venture out, Jason is advised not to run off since they have no idea where his room is and Danny being King of the Realm can basically substitute the ectoplasm needed to stable him just by being around Jason)

Over time and Jason slowly learning to trust Danny, Danny starts treating Jason unknowingly like a son and Jason slowly sees Danny as another dad (only less emotionally constipated (Bruce) or abusive (Willis))

Everyone in the Kingdom knows it too, but since Danny hasn't made it official they don't call Jason 'Prince' or 'Young Master' instead they call him 'Favored Star' and 'Starlight' since Danny adores space and stars and the Ghosts honor Jason with those title's.

They realize that they've been treating each other as family when Jazz comes to visit and points it out. Danny freaks out for a moment before going to talk to Jason, whose been hoarding himself in the royal library. They talk, Jason freaks a bit (maybe runs off trying to figure out his own emotions over it. Doesn't want to get hurt again by a 'father figure' again, maybe gets in trouble? Or runs into Jazz and talks about it to her)

Eventually Danny decides to make it official and Jason becomes Prince Jason of the Infinite Realms. Everyone is excited, and a huge ball is thrown in Jason’s honor. Its a night Jason keeps close to his core because once the ball is over, Danny and Jason go sneaking into the kitchens to get some hot coco and goes into Danny’s study where Jason reads his favorite book out loud next to the fireplace while Danny works on some paperwork but is listening to the story.

Anyways since time in the Realms is weird that despite being dead for a small few years in the living Realm, Jason feels like many more years have passed in the Infinite Realm and because he’s been around Danny (and is Prince of the Realms) he has grown older (its why when he’s brought back he looked like the way he did when he died but was comatose, his ghost/soul didn’t match the body anymore and it isn’t until he’s tossed in the Pits that it corrects his body to match who he was now, its also why the Pit Madness stays with him for so long) Jason has grown into his role as a Prince and he’s happy with his (after)life (and has come to terms with many things in his life, thanks Auntie Jazz)

So when one day the Prince goes completely missing, to the point he can no longer be felt in its Realms, the Infinite Realm ‘awakens’ to the rage and worry of their King.

Meanwhile, Jason awakens underground in his coffin, dazed, confused, scared and crawls out of the ground, his soul/ghost despite being in its body isn’t attached correctly and thus his mind is blank, he’s alive but not really there. It isn’t until later when he’s tossed in the Pits and rage overtakes him that his soul/ghost is connected again, wrongly put together but connected at least. It isn’t until later when his core slowly tries fixing the rage/Pit Madness when he starts getting fuzzy and hazy memories of someplace he can no longer remember but wants to go back to, wants to find.

A sky of shifting shades of green, a castle with knights, a ball and dancing figures, the sound of a fireplace crackling and a pen scrawling across paper as the taste of hot coco phantoms its way in his memories.

Absolutely love the idea that it was April who got the boys super into snow days.

Like, pre-April, they probably would view the days as miserable, since as turtles they’re likely more susceptible to the cold and back then they probably had much less to keep warm with.

The cold altogether was just never good to them - and then April comes around and teaches them how to make a snowman. And when it’s done, she pelts them with snowballs. And suddenly, the cold is now fun, and they might still be shivering, but now they’re smiling too.

The funniest thing to me about the whole dick killed the Joker thing is how everyone's like oh Jason would be so touched if he knew when I personally think he'd be so pissed off considering you know he needed the Joker alive to do his whole dramatic you must choose Bruce stand off and Dick almost ruined it all by killing the clown

I know it all comes down to the usual of people not understanding the point of utrh and the faux importance of the Joker in the whole plot but I still can't get the image out of my head of Dick actually succeeding in killing the Joker and Jason having a meltdown since he has to toss years of planning and start from scratch all bc Dick and his anger problems

Imagine if Teen Titans (2003) did literally anything interesting with kon and clonehood… imagine if it did literally anything other than the tired good genes / evil genes plot… imagine if when bringing back match and making more kon clones it actually acknowledged that kon has much more nuanced thoughts on clones of himself than just “that is a pretender/petri dish/i’m okay with stabbing them with kryptonite”… imagine if it acknowledged that all of his friends are, in fact, friends with a clone and would also have more nuanced thoughts on clone personhood even evil clone personhood than calling them petri dishes…

An idea I’ve seen a bit but wanted to jot down:

Danny cures the pits, all that jazz, but Jason finds that, underneath the artificial escalation, he’s still a revenant built on vengeance who will always experience heightened emotions because of the ectoplasm and trauma.

That’s not to say things haven’t improved. He’s better at directing his rage, and no longer experiences the same green outs. He starts seeing real results from therapy, has an easier time getting back under control, and can better reason his way through his emotions now. It’s discouraging in a way, realizing that it wasn’t just the pits, but it’s also kinda relieving that he honestly felt a lot of what he thought he did; his actions were, mostly, his own, even if he wouldn’t have necessarily gone as far looking back. This increased autonomy comes with its own challenges (he realizes he never really hated Tim so much as what he represented to him and feels genuinely sorry for how he’s treated him, as well as increased anxiety now that negative emotions don’t necessarily become anger) but over all, this has been an improvement, even if not the total overhaul he’d kinda hoped for.

I couldn't stop thinking about an AU where Daniel resorts to gathering vitae again, this time to 'cure' Hazel, after his Brennenburg adventure💫, thoughts all mainly derived from this loadscreen text that tells us that Hazel is still in hospice care by the time the game's story began.

As much as I love Daniel, I don't think he really learned all that much from his experience even in the most charitable ending towards him in which he saves Agrippa. I can very, VERY easily see him slipping back into old ways if it meant saving Hazel. The most he seems to approach viewing torture as bad is when he realizes he himself no longer counts as an innocent so he can't justify killing others to save himself anymore. But killing no good, horrible, bad people to save HAZEL? Now, we're cooking with gas 😀 💀

Luke: Hey I killed myself to save you idiots and the whole world from my dumb mistakes. I think that's as much justified karma as you can get in my pathetic existence.

Percy stops arguing with Nico and Jason, is anxious when he heard Luke talking about his death: Luke!

Luke turns around at Percy voice, his face noticeable softens: What?

Percy has a haunted look on his face. Nico, Jason stop arguing and stare at Percy worried.

Percy looks haunted: Don't talk about your death like that. Or yourself.

Luke face turn surprisingly gentle at Percy's care.

Luke walks up to the trio and mainly Percy. He gently grabs the map out of Percy's hands. Their fingertips touch.

Luke turns the map the right way: The maps upside down Percy.

Percy blushes: Oh.

Luke smiles. Turns to the other two.

Luke huffs: Fine. But you three need to listen to me got it? Do exactly as I say.

Nico and Jason: Yes.

Percy still blushing: S-sure Luke.

Thalia is smirking: 😏

Luke to Thalia: Shut up

Luke to the idiot trio: We go this way.

Percy *eagerly* follows close behind Luke. Nico and Jason behind them.

Jason whispers to Nico, gestures at Percy and Luke: So are we not going to talk about 'that'.

Nico being his gay emo self whispers back: Nope.

Not to deny that Jason not being able to make it to 16 in his first life is sad, but I mean he did technically end up making it, and he made it to 17 and 18 and 21 and so on and so forth, it just happened "in round two" so to speak.
