Dipping into videogame fandoms is always wild. Like fandoms of all sorts are bad at genre conventions, but gamers LOVE to praise or criticize things for, like, blatantly subjective gameplay styles that literally just are types of game that maybe they should be playing more (or less) of, and then cap it off with a suggestion that is obviously far beyond game engine capabilities based on experience, or would radically change or cripple the intended interactive player experience / replay value
You think the devs fucked up because the protagonist is a blank slate just dropped in the world with no backstory connection or driving motivations???
Bruh... Skyrim never even hinted to you what you had done to get thrown in a cart on your way to the death penalty
I think maybe you would have more fun stepping away from the RPGs. Grab something with a named protagonist on the cover and no character creator. If you don't want this canon character to have "OOC" dialogue options when you control them that make them sound like an outsider to the plot, well, they don't tend to do that when you play something with minimal / option-less cutscenes 🤷♀️ nor do you lose critical interactive experiences if you pick a game designed from that mindset
It's never something subtle, is the thing 🤣 always with the "TRAGIC - Amazing Game would be objectively better if only it was a Completely Different Game more suited to my preferred play style"

All righty, folks. Bringing back these backgrounds I originally painted back in August 2020(!), only this time it's the version I didn't post with the titles of all six parts of Sahuldeem. Seems like a good way to both look back at where things started...and where they're about to go.
Part Six is a tricky one. I imagine it comes with a lot of expectations, and I might not meet all of those. For instance, it was never my intention to sit down and rewrite the events of the Clone Wars, so it was treated as a montage in my original script (to be fair, I was still imagining a comic adaptation at that point). We already know what happens during the Clone Wars (well, mostly; I do have a few scenes I've either added/expanded upon or retold with a fresh perspective). I, personally, am much more interested in what happens after the crash and before the war, deep in the catacombs of Geonosis.
So, yes: I'm nervously excited to start wrapping up this saga, and I hope there are people out there who are still looking forward to seeing this through with me. I never would have dreamed I'd write something like this, let alone share it, so I'm pleased and immensely grateful that others have also enjoyed it along the way.
(reminder that this Master Post exists!)

As someone who is VERY fascinated with adaptation in film (who spent quuuuuuite some time back in college obsessing over it for assignments) and who adores the graphic novel, my biggest takeaway from Nimona is that it is an EXCELLENT adaptation. Especially considering how much that production went through! Like, all of the changes and things they expanded on made sense for the transition from book to movie. My second takeaway is that I love it <3 Please go watch it I beg of you 🙏

My fate was sealed long before i was born. Not by some god or prophet, but by someone just as human as you and me. At least, he was human at the time.
This hasn't always been a meticulous plan. The root of it all was a tragedy - grief, anger, more sorrow than anyone should have to bear. Maybe it was his fault. Maybe it wasn't. It's easy to say that he could have avoided it, could have chosen another path, and spared us all so much pain.
But maybe fate had always planned this after all.

Clan Toreador;
The Toreador have long been associated with art and socializing, which is incorporated into their weakness – when they are faced with a thing of beauty, they struggle to turn their attention from it. Many emerge from the ranks of accomplished artists, both new and faded. But not all artists need wield a brush: To the Toreador, art encompasses all forms of entertainment and stimulation.
