My rules for 2024:
Dieting and health: Any weight above 55kg is unacceptable and I will not be living like this anymore
1. The 1200 calories a day is the maximum amount you should ever ingest, aim for 1000 calories. Never restrict too much, however, you have to study and function well in university.
2. The only drinks you are allowed are black coffee, unsweetened tea and diet coke. A plain latte is only allowed on a date or when hanging out with your friends. This should never be done more than twice a week.
3. Take your multivitamins in order to function well and treat your muscular problems.
4. Stretching is to be done every morning, for at least 10 minutes. It is not much, but it helps. You should walk everywhere, however, never let anyone convince you to take the bus when the destination is at a less than 20 minutes of walking distance. Aim for at least 5000 steps a day.
5. Drink 2l of water a day. Being hydrated is especially important for your skin and body.
6. Eat strategically. Only eat before class, before studying, only when you need the energy food provides. Never waste that energy when it's not necessary.
7. Never order fast food again. Learn how to resist the urge to say yes when it's being proposed. Your roommate is skinny, you are not. She can have it, you cannot.
8. You can indulge in some unhealthy things that bring you joy. Your nicotine addiction is manageable - try to replace cigarettes with vape liquid, it is less pricey and makes your room smell better. Slowly decrease the nicotine concentration until you are ready to completely drop it. The occasional wine is accepted, but count the calories in it and don't overindulge. Never are you to be seen in public smoking or drunk, however. Always keep these flaws secret.
Studying: Medical school is hard and demanding, but it is possible to get through it.
1. Any mark under an 8 is deemed unacceptable and you should strive for the better.
2. You know yourself well. Stop trying to mimic the way other people study, use the method you know has worked for you since the beginning. You are smart and capable.
3. Stick to your schedule religiously. Study every single day except for Saturdays. Every subject is to be revised and valued equally.
4. Start studying for examinations one week before it takes place. Strive for the best marks. Complete projects as soon as they are announced.
5. Always take notes, answer questions and be attentive during class. The people who judge you for this are jealous of your intelligence. Never shut up ever again.
6. Volunteering is essential: it gives you bonus points for future Erasmus projects. Therefore, you should attend such events once a month. Do not prioritize it over your studies, however.
Hobbies: You must have a personality and be cultured, besides being smart. Never let anyone see you as boring.
1. Reading is your favorite activity - aim to read 20 pages a day. Read 40 pages in the weekends. Read fashion magazines as well, in order to stay inspired.
2. Writing - on the weekends, try to write something: an article, a poem, some prose, a blogpost, anything you like. Never let that passion fade away.
3. Limit TV shows to 40 minutes per day, watch a movie on the weekend.
4. Go out to see the opera, a museum or an art exposition every month.
5. Stay up to date with the news in the industries that matter to you!!
Personality and Social Life: Things are going great, but they can be improved.
1. Always keep your cool. Never are you to rage in public ever again. People respect you, don't mess this up. You must always wear a confident smile, never show your weak side in public.
2. Be friendly and helpful. Always say hi when walking past someone you know and engage in conversations with your colleagues. However, you are not to overshare with people you do not know well. Keep the conversations going about themselves, not yourself, unless asked about.
3. Help people out whenever you are directly asked for. However, do not overdo it. Put yourself first.
4. Do not talk ill about anyone unless it's with your close friends or significant other. This can be used against you anytime.
5. Never seem too available. Only hang out if your schedule allows you to. Never fall into the trap of "study gatherings" as you know well you function better individually.
6. Keep in touch with your close ones daily. Ask about their day, show them that you care.
7. Hangouts must be limited to twice a week. You must only hang out with your boyfriend once a week. It hurts, but it keeps you both focused on your work.
8. Don't PDA at university, please. This has to stop once and for all. Limit it to hand holding and sitting together at less important courses. Do not show people how needy you are.
9. People who lack certain morals and are not compatible with you from this point of view should not be part of your life. Their negative energy impacts you a lot. Only speak to them if directly approached.
10. Don't be late, it's unacceptable. You must be present 10 minutes before the start of an event.
11. Never are you to be seen in nightclubs or places that may damage your reputation. If it doesn't characterize you to be in that place, stay home. Do not fear missing out on anything, you already saw enough.
12. Use social media for only 30 minutes daily.
Looks: Being put together is the key to success. It teaches you discipline.
1. Skincare must be done twice a day, morning and night. Keep it simple but consistent, as your skin is not compatible to harsh chemicals. Apply perfume and body sprays.
2. Makeup should be kept to a minimum, unless it's a special occasion: eyeliner, mascara, eyebrow gel, lip liner and lip gloss is the perfect recipe.
3. Your hair must be lustrous and well kept. Wear it down most of the time. Do a cute hairstyle once a week.
4. You must always be dressed up for the occasion: always wear preppy academic outfits to university, something more playful and fun when you go out, your lounge wear and pajamas should still be cute. Even if nobody sees you, you still can see yourself.
5. Buy some new clothes every month. Change it up, do not seem repetitive with your outfits.
6. Your clothes must always smell good, be meticulously ironed and fresh.
7. Never are you to wear the same outfit again in a week. People notice and you must not seem lazy.
8. You have to take care of yourself every week: shave, paint your nails and toenails, exfoliate, apply a face mask, wash your hair.
9. Shower every other day instead of every day as your skin dries out. After every shower, use lotions for your body. You must always smell like a cake.

fluff!! ; hoon being hoon ; a creepy man appears but nothing serious happens ; sign a petition for yn and hoon to say OUT LOUD what they think
Tumblr media
Since you had to catch the bus at 5.30 am to visit your family, you did get up at 4.55 am as planned. Your mother's birthday fell on the day you moved away from your hometown two months ago, so you decided to surprise her.
You were lucky to discover a low bus ticket that would have taken you there in just five hours. Everything was unplanned; you bought it the day before and quickly packed your things into a small but comfortable rucksack.
It was 5.10 am, and you were leaving the house. Your apartment was only 10 mins by foot to the bus station, so you did not rush. There was none around except for an old lady walking on the opposite side of the road and a few cars. Some birds were already awake, and the sun was rising, it was when almost everyone was still asleep or slowly people were getting up to start their day. A new day was about to start for everyone, your heart was light, and you were happy.
You were lost in your thoughts that you did not realize that you stopped yourself while looking at the clouds in the sky. You come back to the world only when a boy runner next to you screaming: "HE'S GONNA KILL ME IF I MISS THIS BUS TOOOO"
You did not even check the time; you started to run too. Because actually, your "natural clock" understood that you were late.
Indeed, when you arrived at the station, you looked at your phone which showed 5.33 am.
You missed your bus...and you could not even say it to anyone, because it was a surprise. Discouraged, you went to the ticket office to see if to buy a ticket for the next bus that would be passing in just an hour.
It was summer, so the natural light was already there, but still a bit of fear there was because you were alone, but it was replaced by laughter when you saw the boy, who had run earlier near to you, on his knees in front of the man in the ticket office begging him to find him a bus that would arrive there before an hour.
He was so funny while literally kneeling for a bus ticket at 5.35am. The man looked so annoyed, but after a good five minutes, his prayers worked.
Indeed there was a special bus - the number 5 - that only for that day was active, and that would arrive in 33 minutes.
You never thought you could see someone's mood change so quickly; he would have hugged the man if there was no glass separating them. Happier than ever, the boy buys his ticket and turns to go to wait for the bus. That's when he notices you and guesses - from your amused expression - that you had seen the scene.
After a quick nod and a thinly veiled smile, he walks past you and goes to wait for the bus.
It was thanks to him that you found out about bus number 5, which was also perfect for you. So you immediately bought your ticket and went to wait patiently for the bus.
As you expected, you met the boy there again. He was seated on the only bench there, where you would soon be joining him.
You greeted each other with a simple smile and head nod; by this point, you were companion victims of misfortune on that summer morning.
So you sat, put your earphones on, and waited while looking around and letting your thoughts run free.
You could tell that he kinda did the same because after 15 mins you felt something - or better, someone - graving on your shoulder.
Yes, the bus would arrive in 33 minutes at 6:08 a.m., but the funny boy only after 15 mins of waiting falls on your shoulder.
You were a bit hesitant to wake him up because he looked so peaceful while sleeping.
He had closed eyes and a steady breathing pattern, and his lips and his cheeks were flushed pink. His dark black hair and eyebrows created a contrast with his pale skin and total-white outfit.
A mole on his note distinguished him, and knowing the legend of moles - it says they are said to be the place where, in another life, your soulmate loved to kiss you - you smiled.  When you had to gently touch him to wake him awake because the bus had arrived, you blushed a little more.
Oh yes, 18 minutes passed after he had dozed off on your shoulder...
You quickly got on the bus after waking him up, and he immediately boarded behind you after mumbling an awkward thank you.
The bus was so full of men at that hour, and most of them seemed to be surprised by your arrival.
You did not feel comfortable at all, but you decided to ignore everyone turning up the volume of your music and sitting in the only empty place. Luckily none was sitting next to you, you were safe you thought.
However, you started to feel truly scared when you noticed a man, who must have been in his 50s, standing up and walking toward you.
As fate would have it, the clumsy boy, your company of misfortune also saw, and he immediately sat down in the seat next to yours. At that moment your music stopped, and you heart lost a few beats.
"Not gonna lie, that man creeped me out too. Hope it is okay if I sat next to you; I would never leave a pretty girl alone with someone like him" he whispered while still looking at that man with dead eyes.
Your eyes brightened in response to his words, and you thanked him.
"Young boy leave that seat and let me sit next to the beautiful girl." Just hearing those words was enough to send shivers down your spine.
Instinctively, you reached for the boy's shirt hoping he would not leave you with that old man.
He wasn't going to let go, on the contrary, he said:
"She's my girlfriend, you'd better stop bothering her."
Your heart began to beat faster and faster, adrenaline and anxiety were invading your heart, and you felt helpless.
"Oh sure. I bet you just met her. Why such a beautiful girl should be with someone like you. Hmm? What do you say?" the man asked, turning to you.
He was about to answer back but you anticipated him by saying.
"You better shut up before I call the police. Leave me and my boyfriend alone.. and I don't need me to explain to you idiot why I am dating this handsome boy."
Now is the boy's heart that was beating fast.
"The bus is moving. A message to the man who is bothering the girl. You had better sit down before you falls and the police have to meet you at the hospital instead of the next stop"
The driver's voice was heard everywhere, and the timing almost scared you.
Someone had also called the police, and the man would have been reported soon.
Even though you were safe at this point, your heart continued to race since so much had happened so quickly.
You eventually turned to look at the boy who helped you after the grumbling man had moved away from you.
"Thank you so so much. You saved me," you said, but he was not looking at you-
He was glancing down at the bottoms of his shoes while his hands were covering his face.
"Is everything alright? Are you okay?" you asked worried.
And he finally turned to you almost screaming
"SO WAIT DO YOU REALLY THINK I AM HANDSOME?"
But he quickly tried to ignore your confused expression as he attempted to regain his calm and added, "It's nothing; I acted on instinct. I couldn't bear that creepy man would sit next to you. Hope you are okay now"
He wanted to finish his sentence with "pretty girl" because he truly meant it. Although it could have worried you, he chose not to.
Even though you too really meant what you had said - that he was a beautiful guy - you preferred to ignore his question too.
"I'm fine thanks, and nice to meet my name is Y/n."
"Park Sunghoon. My name is Park Sunghoon, nice to meet you"
"Well Park Sunghoon if you also have to get off at the last stop, I guess we have a long journey ahead of us,"
"Yes y/n, but I think that by staying right next to you, the time will pass more quickly," he replied without thinking.
You nodded in agreement as you internally chuckled at the sound of your name coming out of his mouth.
He was very kind and easy to talk to since you discovered that you had a lot of things in common - for example he too was going to the surprise party of a friend of his in the same city as you.
While talking you find out that you enjoy the same singers and songs, and that is how you ended up sharing your earphones while your playlist was playing.
Sunghoon however, fell asleep off again and let his head fall forward when the softer section of your songs began to play.
Oh, and the reason you gently shifted his head to your shoulder was for no other reason than to make him more comfortable…right?

The Wolf and his Coyote - Part 4
Tumblr media
Part 4! Things are starting to look up!
Summary; Jungkook is the leader of the biggest biker gang in Korea. He is never interested in people unless they can benefit him in some way. That is until he runs into a girl who is the only person who appears to not be afraid of him. New to Korea, Amalia is an artist who spends most of her days working on her comics at her friend Minhyuks diner who also happens to be Jungkooks favourite hang out spot. What will happen when Jungkooks, a man who's heart seems to be frozen in ice, interest is peeked for the first time since he can remember?
Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4
Pairing: Gang leader jk x Tsundere, artist Amalia
Rating: 18+ do not interact if you are a minor!
Word count: 2.3k
Genre: Biker gang bts, action, romance, there will be smut down the line, angst, violence, humour.
Warnings: potential triggers, signs of trauma, Jungkook is SMITTEN, mentions of past, motorcycle ride, voice raising, arguing.
Amalias pov:
The roaring sound of engines cut through my thoughts, effectively snapping me out of my hyper fixated state. I look out the window to my right and notice 6 guys on motorcycles pull up. As they take off their helmets one by one, I notice it’s the guys from yesterday. Jungkooks gang. I guess this is the end of my peaceful day.
Well, it had been very peaceful apart from the moment he decided to come talk to me. I still don’t know what he wants with me. I wish he would just stay away. At least he’s not too pushy. Like him.
I shake my head, not letting those thoughts creep up on me. You’re safe Amalia. It’s all in the past now.
The doors to the diner fly open as one by one those guys start piling in. Starting with one handsome man, black, long hair, cat like eyes, resting bitch face. He looks around the restaurant for his “owner” I assume. His eyes land on me as I look at him and he snickers before walking towards the other side of the restaurant as he spots Jungkook.
What was that? Anyways, it’s time for me to go. I start packing my tablet and research materials back into my bag. I finish my cup of tea that Min had brought me earlier and get up to let him know I’m leaving.
The restaurant is pretty busy for dinner time so I just manage a wave as I step out and head towards my bus stop. The bus arrives not too long after that and I start my commute home.
The route is pretty long. I start with one bus, then a train and another bus. It’s better than sitting at home by myself all day tho, so it’s worth it. I read a book with my headphones on as per usual. About 20 minutes later, I arrive at the train station. As I wait for my train, I hear an announcement being made so I move my headphones to the side to listen.
“Train towards blue lines are all cancelled for the day due to technical issues, sorry for the inconvenience.”
Oh, well hell. I start to think of other ways to get home. A taxi would cost way too much from here for my broke butt. It’s too far to walk as well. I wonder if there’s other buses that lead close enough.
I start to walk towards the street, where all the buses are and scan the signs to see where they went. Ah, there is a bus that leads close to the other bus I have to take, however it only comes every hour. I look at the time and, of course, the last one left 6 minutes ago. I guess I’ll be waiting here for a while.
I sit at the stop by the street and take my book out again, getting ready for this long hour.
Jungkooks pov:
“I’ll see you tomorrow.” I wave at my group before heading off on my bike.
The breeze hits my body as I zigzag through the streets of Seoul. As I drive, there only one thing going through my mind. “She hates your type”. My type. What is my type? According to Minhyuk I have become self absorbed. It shows that he doesn’t know me like he used to. Although the boy he knew is now dead and gone, I still don’t really know the man I have become. All I know is the hatred I feel towards him.
I shake my head, attempting to shake off these negative thoughts and feelings, heading towards my usual patrol.
As I pass by the train station, I notice something that makes me instantly turn my bike around. Is that..?
I make my way back to the bus stop where a girl is resting her head on the side of the bus stop, sat on the bench with a book in her lap. As I approach her, I notice that it is indeed her. The girl from the diner. Minhyuks friend.
I park my bike in front of the stop, there being barely any cars that pass at this time, and walk up to her sleeping form. I look at her for a minute and she doesn’t even flinch. I kneel down in front of her and look over her features. Long lashes, small but plump lips and a beauty mark right below her left eye.
She really is nothing special.
Then, her eyes suddenly shoot open, dropping the book in her hand and letting out a scream.
“Hey hey, it’s just me.” I say, still on one knee before her.
I take my helmet off so she can see me more clearly.
She looks down at me and then at her surroundings as if analyzing the situation.
“Wha- what time is it? Why is it dark? Why are you here?” She says as she pulls out her phone and checks the time.
“Oh no! I missed the last bus!” She gets up frantically looking around.
I take my time standing and take a guess as to what had happened.
“Well considering you left the diner quite a while ago, I’m guessing you fell asleep here waiting for your bus until now, did you not? As for why I’m here, I was just driving by when I noticed you and just had to come say hello.” I say with a smile.
“Way to state the obvious.” She says as she rolls her eyes and sits back down.
She appears to be thinking, and as she said she missed her last bus, I guess she doesn’t have a way home.
I roll my eyes right back at her before heading to my bike. I feel her eyes on the back of my head. I lift the seat, pull out my spare helmet and turn back to give it to her.
“Here, I’ll take you home.” I say.
“Why would I trust a stranger with my address?” She says crossing her arms and legs and looking down.
“Oh so you don’t trust me with your address but you trust everyone else enough to fall asleep at a public bus stop?” I say, raising my voice.
I could see her visibly flinch as I did.
“Who are you to tell me what I can and can’t do? You don’t even know me!” She says, visibly upset.
I sigh and take a deep breath. Arguing with her will get us nowhere.
“Look, I’m sorry I raised my voice. I know you’re new to town, but this area is very unsafe. Especially for woman. So when I saw you sleeping here without a care in the world for your safety I..” I cut myself off.
“You what?” She asks, turning to look at me in the eyes for the first time.
“I know you probably won’t believe me considering what Minhyuk has probably said about me, but I’m not a bad guy. I care about him a lot and you’re his friend. So no harm will come to you around me, ok?” I say truthfully, avoiding what I was going to say before.
She continues to sit there and stares at me. I see the gears shifting behind her scared eyes that she tried to pass off as anger.
“Fine then, you can stay here.” I say as I turn to place the helmet back in my bike.
Then I feel a tug at my back. It takes me a moment, but I turn to see her looking at the floor with her hand grasping the hem of my leather jacket.
“I’m sorry. I just.. I..” She stuttered. I could tell she was trying to say something very difficult for her.
“Its ok, you don’t have to tell me.” I said gently.
She nods and I turn to hand her the helmet. She takes it and puts it on like she already knows how.
“Have you ever been on a bike before?” I ask.
“I have. I can drive one too.” She says matter of factly.
My eyes grow wide as I stare at her in shock.
“What? Is it that shocking? Is it because I’m a woman?” She says crossing her arms and staring me down.
“No, I just… I didn’t expect it.” I say while sheepishly rubbing the back of my neck. I quickly put on my helmet. Why does my face feel warm?
I get on my bike and look towards her. She still seems unsure, looking down and fidgeting with her hands.
“Common, I don’t bite.” I say, reaching my hand out towards her.
She looks at my hand for a few seconds before reaching out and taking it in hers.
My heart skips when our skin touches. What was that? Get a hold of yourself Jungkook.
She then comes closer and throws her leg over, taking a seat behind me. I feel her trying to push back and turn my head to see her grab a hold of the bars on the back.
I sigh in frustration.
“Just hold onto me please? It’s much safer that way.” I say revving my engine.
“Are you sure?” She says shyly.
This girl goes from shy to attitude to shy in an instant huh?
I smile, “Yes I’m sure.” I reach back and wrap her hands around my waist.
With her front pressed against my back, I head off in the direction of her home.
As we drive through the streets, I feel her looking around as if my hometown is all new to her. I hear her little gasps as we come into view of beautiful sceneries. I could feel her loosen and tighten her grip on me as we turn and speed up and slow down. It’s funny, I usually don’t like people riding behind me but I don’t mind it with her. She’s not purposely trying to grab a feel as she holds onto me, like the other girls I’ve taken for rides passing it off as just holding on for safety, no she’s different. She keeps her hands tied together across my stomach and doesn’t move them an inch.
We approach her street and I come to a full stop. Strangely, I feel slightly upset at having arrived already. She gets off first and then I do the same, kicking the stand up to park. I turn to see she has already taken off her helmet and has the widest smile on her face.
Woah. What a beautiful smile..
What was I just thinking? Snap out of it! Luckily, my helmet was still on.
Her hair blows in the breeze as she looks at me.
“Thank you for the ride home. It’s been a while since I’ve been on a motorcycle, I forgot how great it feels. Oh and I’m sorry I was so rude.” She says while fiddling with her fingers.
I take my helmet off and give her a smile.
“Don’t worry about it. It’s good that you don’t easily trust people. That intuition will keep you safe around these parts.” I say genuinely.
All of a sudden her eyebrows furrow as if she just thought of something.
“Wait.. I never gave you my address. How did you know where I live?” She says while taking a step back.
Oh right. She still doesn’t know I was there that night.
“Yeah about that, I mean, I didn’t want to just say I know where you live. Probably would have sounded creepy at the time.”
“Well it’s sure creepy now, so can you answer my question?” She says with her hands on her hips.
I guess the attitude is back.
I laugh at her ever changing personality, which for some reason, I find adorable.
“The truth is, these are the streets I usually patrol at this time a night. I don’t know what Minhyuk has told you, but my gang is not like the usual gang. We like to watch over our city and keep the innocents safe.” She just stands there looking at me as if urging me to continue. So I do.
“One night, I was patrolling as I usually do, when I crossed by this alley and saw a man following a girl. I was about to step in when suddenly, this girl turned and smacked the guy in the balls with her bag.” I laugh at that last part, still finding it funny.
I see her eyes light up in recognition.
“Oh! You were there that night? I did find it odd that he didn’t try to follow me.” She pondered with her hand on her chin.
“Yeah, don’t worry, he won’t be following you again.” I smirk.
She stares me down.
“What?” I ask.
“You didn’t kill him, did you?” She says.
I look at her, my eyes then turning serious.
“I don’t kill people. Not unless I have to. It’s not my place to take lives.” I say stuffing my hands in my pockets.
Although the question stings, I do understand why she would ask. I am the head of a gang after all. It’s true that I don’t like to kill people, but it would be a lie to say I never have.
“Ok well, thanks again for the ride.’ She pauses,’ and for protecting me that night I guess.” She says, looking up at me.
She hands over the helmet.
“You’re welcome.” I look down at her smiling softly.
“Have a good night.” She simply says as she starts walking down the alley towards her home.
“Hey!” I say before she reaches her door.
She turns and looks at me with a questioning raised eyebrow.
“What’s your name?” I ask.
She looks at me for a moment before answering.
“It’s Amalia, but you can call me Lia. Consider that an honour.” With that, she turns and heads inside.
I can't help but laugh at her last comment.
Amalia.. that’s a different name. I like the sound of it.
I start walking down the street, beginning my patrol. Unable to wipe this stupid smile off my face.

'I think you had a little too much wine there.'
Tumblr media
'I did not kill anyone,' Sihtric lied when you asked what had happened.
You leaned against your bathroom wall and watched your mechanic dry his hands, after he had been washing the blood off his skin for minutes, leaving your sink splattered with red droplets. You didn't want to let Sihtric in your house at first, but he had simply pushed past you. And when you started to question him, he became hostile.
'Where… where does all this blood come from, Sihtric?'
You felt sick to your stomach upon the sight of your sink.
'I only fought, okay? I only punched someone in the face,' Sihtric lied again, 'stop asking about what happened,' he said sternly and threw the towel in your dirty sink.
'But you… you can't expect me to-'
Sihtric walked over to you and took your face in his hands. He stared down at you with his big, piercing, wild eyes as he trapped you against the wall.
'Stop asking,' Sihtric said, 'you will stop questioning my story, you hear me?' he breathed hard as his eyes darted over your face, 'you will forget whatever you saw today. You won't mention it to anyone, ever. Yeah?'
'Y-yeah,' you said, averting your eyes.
'No,' Sihtric hissed, 'look at me!' he commanded, and you looked back up into his mismatched eyes. 'I did it to protect you,' he said, and his expression softened as he lightly caressed your cheeks with his thumbs, 'I did it because I love you, you understand that?'
You simply nodded and held your breath.
'You love me?' he asked as his hands trailed down to your waist, 'tell me you love me.'
'I- I love you,' you whispered.
You cursed yourself for still enjoying his touch, after everything, and you allowed him to lean his forehead against yours.
'Again,' Sihtric smiled darkly, 'tell me you love me, little lady,' he licked his lips, 'tell me you're mine.'
'I love you.'
'Tell me you're mine,' he breathed.
'I'm… yours.'
'Good,' Sihtric sighed.
Tumblr media
You slept in Sihtric's arms that night. And for the first time since you got together, he almost felt like a stranger. The way he had acted, the way he had spoken to you, you had never seen this controlling and possessive side of him before. Except, maybe in the hospital.
You laid awake that night, remembering how Sihtric had demanded to see you in the hospital, after his crash, and how he had hurt you with his bruising grip. He hadn't done that again after that day, but his behaviour seemed to slowly turn towards that same direction; he was holding you in a firm grip, figurally this time.
And despite everything, you were still head over heels in love with him, and you hoped it had just been a really strange day.
Eventually you fell asleep, thinking that tomorrow might be better.
Tumblr media
Sihtric woke up before you, as he had to go to work. He was starting to make more hours this week, slowly building up his previous work life again. He had kissed you goodbye and you vaguely remembered hearing his motorcycle engine rev before he rode off into the sunrise.
When you woke up, you found a handwritten note on the pillow next to you;
Come see me at work, I'm working alone after 3. I'll take you back home.
I love you, darling x
You felt your cheeks burn up at the note, and you made sure to do your daily errands as fast as possible.
You quickly packed a small backpack, with some clothes more suitable for a bike ride than the dress you had on, but you wanted to look nice for Sihtric when he'd see you, so you would change over there. And then you finally took a bus to the repair shop.
You hopped off the bus in your floral summer dress and made haste to your mechanic, who you found shirtless, smudged with oil and grease as he leaned in a car, working on an engine once again. Sihtric looked up when he heard someone walk in, and he gave you a cocky smile as he leaned his elbows on the car.
'What's a pretty lady like you doing in a place like this?' he flirted, and it made your face heat up straight away, as per usual.
'Hmm… my car broke down, sir,' you grinned, playing along.
'I see,' Sihtric nodded with a sly smile and closed the hood of the car, 'and how can I help you, lady?' he asked while he wiped his greasy hands on a towel, which he then threw over his shoulder.
'I'm not sure,' you twirled your hair as you walked up to him, 'is it true you guys offer a ride home?'
Sihtric bit down on his lip, circling his filthy arm around your waist and he pulled you against his sweaty, greasy body. He hummed softly as he looked down at you with a cheeky smile.
'Perhaps,' Sihtric taunted, 'but I don't have a car. However,' he licked his lips and slid his hand down to your buttocks, 'you could spread those beautiful legs for me right now, and I'll promise I'll give you a good ride,' he winked and squeezed your ass.
You giggled and slapped his chest.
'Sihtric! You heathen,' you laughed, completely flushed, 'don't be like that, you're at work.'
'And?' he frowned, 'there's no one here. And you're teasing me with that dress, lady.'
'Maybe, but… you're not serious, are you?'
'I am serious, lady,' Sihtric said, settling his other hand on your hip, 'did you forget what I told you?' he smiled and leaned in, softly nuzzling your nose before he pecked your lips.
'Hm?' you hummed, smiling, 'told me what?'
'I told you,' Sihtric said, pulling away from you while holding your hands, 'that I'm taking what's mine,' he growled and spun you around, bending you over the hood of the car, 'whenever I fucking want.'
'Sihtric,' you breathed, your head was spinning as his big, rough hands grabbed your hips.
And god, how horny you were right now, it was a sin. But the fear of someone walking in on you two held you back. But Sihtric clearly didn't care about that, as he pushed up your skirt and unclasped his belt.
'Sihtric, no,' you giggled.
You pushed yourself back up and turned around.
'But I want you,' he said, 'now.'
'Yes, and I want you too,' you breathed, 'but anyone can just walk in on us.'
Sihtric sighed and clicked his tongue, then he took your chin.
'And?'
'Can't you… get fired for that?' you frowned.
'I own half of this shop, lady,' Sihtric said sternly, and he pushed your skirt up again, 'I can do whatever the fuck I want,' he smiled darkly and unzipped his dirty cargo pants, 'and right now,' he seated you up on the car, 'all I want to do,' he pulled down your panties, 'is fuck my girl.'
Sihtric captured your lips in a heated kiss, and you surrendered yourself completely in his strong, greasy arms, and let him have his way with you. And god, he felt good. The way he filled you up completely, and how you heard his low, heavy grunts in your ear as he pulled your hair. Sihtric knew exactly how to fuck you hard, and still make you feel loved entirely.
And luckily, no one walked in.
Tumblr media
After the sudden hot, rough, and rather quick sex, you got dressed in your jeans and t-shirt, while Sihtric closed up the workplace and cleaned himself up. He put on his leather jacket and looked up over his shades as you approached him, and he smiled. Sihtric circled his arm around your waist and pulled you in for a soft kiss.
'You good, love?' he asked sweetly, 'did you like that, baby?'
'Yeah,' you smiled, feeling a little tired, and wrapped your arms around his neck.
'Good,' Sihtric whispered and pecked your lips.
'Did you like it?' you suddenly wondered.
Sihtric chuckled lightly and whispered, 'I loved it, lady,' before he gave you a tender kiss, 'and I love you.'
'I love you too,' you smiled shyly.
You hated yourself for how he could make you so easily aroused and shy all the same within the blink of an eye.
Sihtric took your hand and walked you out of the garage. He got on his bike, and as he was about to push his motorcycle off the standard, he changed his mind. He looked at you, smiled, and turned around in the seat of his bike, then took your hand and pulled you closer.
'Come,' Sihtric said sweetly.
You got on his bike, seated in your regular spot, except this time you faced Sihtric, instead of looking at his back, and he wrapped your legs around his waist as you sat pressed up against him. His hand rested on your waist and one cupped your cheek, smiling softly as he looked at you, biting down on his lip. Your eyes darted over his black shades, not being able to see his eyes through them, so you took them off. You smiled at each other and you snuck your hands under his leather jacket, holding onto his waist as he leaned slightly back on his bike.
'How lucky I am,' Sihtric said with a smug face, and he pulled you in for a few soft kisses.
'And me,' you whispered, completely head over heels.
Sihtric hummed softly when he kissed you again, and you had a heated, yet gentle make out session on his motorcycle. Something you could cross off your bucket list, you later thought.
'You're my girl,' Sihtric whispered against your lips as he held you close.
'Only yours,' you smiled and kissed his lips again.
You felt Sihtric softly bite your lip, and he tugged it lightly with his teeth, making you chuckle.
'Tell me you love me,' he breathed.
'I love you,' you whispered.
Sihtric hummed. 'How much, baby?'
'So fucking much,' you managed to say in between his open mouthed kisses, 'I'll do anything for you,' you nearly moaned as you tugged his jacket.
'Anything, love?' he chuckled softly.
'Anything, Sihtric.'
And Sihtric smiled against your lips, knowing he had you completely wrapped around his finger. And he would be the first to admit; you had him wrapped around your finger all the same. But you weren't aware of how smitten he was, or how to use it for your own benefit at times. Whereas Sihtric was cunning enough to realise how to use you, if he had to, or when he simply wanted to.
'Alright,' Sihtric smiled and gave you one last, soft kiss, 'let's go. I'm taking you out for dinner.'
Tumblr media
You felt a little out of place as you sat in some fancy, high class restaurant. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was pleasant, but this was way above your budget. You figured not to question Sihtric, and you just enjoyed watching him devour a steak. He fucks like a beast and eats like a beast, you thought, and you fought a grin tugging at your lips.
Sihtric was sweet to you again today, like how he had been with you when you first met, until the more recent events. He joked around and made you laugh, and after you both had finished your dinner, he moved to sit next to you. Sihtric wrapped his arm around your neck and gave you soft, sloppy kisses, for everyone to see, to which some elderly couples gave you two a disapproving look. But Sihtric didn't care, it only amused him. You were his, and he had no shame showing his love for you in public. You, on the other hand, were a little uncomfortable with displaying your affection in public, you had never really done so in your previous relationships, but as Sihtric took the lead, you simply followed.
When Sihtric paid for everything, you couldn't help noticing that the name on the credit card he used didn't match his own. It didn't even come close to his own name, actually. You didn't say anything about it and politely thanked the waiter before he left your table. Sihtric said he needed the toilet before heading out and pecked your lips, brushing his fingers sweetly over your cheek before he got up. You smiled at him, and when he walked off, your eyes landed on his leather jacket next to you, in which he had just tucked his wallet. You fought the urge for a moment, but your curiosity won. You innocently looked over your shoulder, and when all seemed clear, you reached for his wallet. You found the credit card he used and frowned at the name again, it didn't make any sense. And when you shoved the card back, you suddenly saw his wallet held five more credit cards, all with different names, none of them matching Sihtric's own name.
Tumblr media
You thought about your recent discovery as you had your arms wrapped around your biker boyfriend when he brought you home. You tried to come up with rational reasons as to why he would have those cards, but you had to stop fooling yourself. The only reason he would have them was if he's either a fraud and took out money using fake names, or he had stolen all of those credit cards without the victims realising it yet. And neither of those reasons appealed to you.
Back home you tried to bite your tongue again, but it was just impossible.
Tumblr media
'You had a good evening?' Sihtric asked when he held you in his arms, while watching tv on your couch.
'Yeah,' you smiled, 'thank you.' You kissed his cheek.
'You're welcome, baby,' Sihtric hummed, 'one more?'
You fought a smile and gave him another kiss.
'But,' you began, 'I, eh,' you cleared your throat, 'I couldn't help notice the, eh, credit card you used. The name on it was not yours, was it?'
Sihtric frowned, 'what do you mean, love?'
You stared into his eyes, trying to find anything in there that would give you a hint of what goes on inside his head, but there was nothing.
'T-the name on your card,' you stammered, 'it… it wasn't yours.'
'Yes it was,' Sihtric chuckled lightly.
'No, it wasn't.'
'Don't be so silly, baby,' he scoffed, 'I don't know what you're talking about. You must be mistaken.'
Sihtric took your chin and gave you a soft kiss.
'But… okay, then show me the card?'
'What?' he asked.
'Show me the credit card,' you said.
'Why would I do that?' Sihtric asked, offended, losing the sweet demeanour in his voice and posture, 'I already told you, you're mistaken.'
'But I saw… I'm not-'
'You don't believe me, lady?'
'I know what I saw, Sihtric,' you scoffed.
'So you're calling me a liar?' Sihtric gave you a sudden threatening stare.
'N…no,' you said and looked away from him, but he took your chin again and forced your eyes back up to his.
'Then what are you saying here? Hm?' he asked and moved his hands up in your hair, 'what are you accusing me of?'
Sihtric stared at you as he bit down on his lip, and for some reason you felt lightheaded.
'N-nothing,' you said quietly, 'I'm sorry.'
'Mhm,' Sihtric hummed and kissed your lips, 'I think you had a little too much wine there.'
'Yeah… m-maybe,' you agreed, pulling him in for another kiss.
Tumblr media
Sihtric quickly learned that whenever you questioned things, he could easily make you forgive and forget by just making out with you, or even better; having sex. And you didn't even realise it.
A few weeks later you met up with your friend, Thyra, who wanted to know all about that good looking guy you had been sharing pictures of on your social media.
'So, what does this Sihtric do?' Thyra asked and sipped her drink.
'He's a mechanic,' you said with your mouth full of food.
'Oh,' Thyra smiled and gave you a cheeky grin, 'I see. Tell me more.'
'Well,' you giggled, 'oh,' you said as your phone buzzed, 'speaking of… hold on,' you opened Sihtric's texts.
Sihtric: where are you?
Sihtric: baby?
Sihtric: hello???
Sihtric: answer me!
You: calm down love
You: I'm over at Sam's Bar
Sihtric: why? how?
Sihtric: with who?
You: I'm with my friend
You: Thyra. and I took a bus x
Sihtric: are you drinking baby? x
You: no?
Sihtric: I'll pick you up
'What…' you sighed, 'sorry, hold on,' you smiled at Thyra.
You: honey what do you mean
You: I just got here?
Sihtric: I'm picking you up baby
You: no, why? I don't want to go home yet
Sihtric: this is not a matter of discussion
Sihtric: I'm coming over
You: okay but at least stay for a drink?
Sihtric: maybe love x
You shook your head lightly.
'Is he already giving you trouble?' Thyra laughed.
'I don't know, but he's coming over,' you chuckled, 'he's… quite something.'
'How so?'
'Well,' you hesitated, 'I recently found out he's a member of the Ragnarsons.'
Thyra stared at you.
'What?' she scoffed, 'the biker gang?'
You nodded and quickly took a sip of your drink.
'An outlaw? Girl,' Thyra frowned, 'what are you doing with a guy like that?'
'I.. he's… I love him,' you said shyly.
'I… don't even know what to say. How- like, how far in it is he?'
You looked away from your friend.
'Hey,' Thyra said firmly, 'spill it.'
'Fuck,' you groaned, 'do you remember that warehouse fire a while ago?'
'Yeah,' Thyra said, her face growing concerned.
'He… he did that,' you said softly.
Thyra stared at you again. 'You've got to be joking.'
'Don't tell anyone, okay? I'm not even supposed to talk about this.'
'What does that mean?'
'Sihtric, he told me to not… you know, discuss his business with others.'
'And is that the only thing he tells you to do?' she asked, cautiously.
'Well, I guess,' you shrugged, 'he's quite persistent, but I haven't done anything I didn't want to.'
'What does that- what did you do?'
'Well,' you felt your face heat up, 'we kinda… well, not kinda, we had sex while he was at work. That was a first for me.'
'What?' Thyra suddenly laughed, 'at his work? The garage?'
'Yeah,' you grinned, 'the shop was still open.'
'Are you… you're telling me you had sex in public?'
'Yeah, but, no one saw us!' you said quickly, 'and… he's like… he fucks like really good,' you blurted out and laughed.
Thyra sat back, shocked, and she shook her head disapprovingly.
'What are you doing, honey?' she asked softly and took your hand, 'sex in public? Dating a guy who committed arson, and probably a whole bunch of other crimes…'
'I don't know about much else. I only know he has a bunch of credit cards that don't have his name on it. And he deals drugs?'
'What?!' Thyra yelled.
'Shh!' you hushed her fast.
'Please tell me you went to the cops?' she hissed.
'What? no!' you scoffed, 'I'm not turning in my boyfriend! I asked him about it, and he told me not to worry about it, okay? And he took me to this fancy place after we had sex at his work, so, you know, he treats me well.'
'Gods,' Thyra whispered, 'this isn't you,' she said, 'since when are you okay with all this?'
'I'm not, I mean…' you sighed and buried your face in your hands, 'I don't know, okay. I just- I only know that I love him.'
'Love him?' Thyra scoffed, 'sure. You love his cock it seems.'
'What the fuck is that supposed to mean?' you snarled.
'Oh, come on, since when are you so naive?' Thyra asked, 'this guy clearly manipulates you. You confront him about things, he fucks you, and you simply forget about it.'
'That's not true,' you said, hurt.
'That's what it looks like,' Thyra said, 'look, I am not telling you what to do with your life. But please, be careful. These biker guys,' she shook her head, 'they are no good. None of them.'
'But he said he wants out, you know, of the club.'
'And you believe him?'
'Well, yeah.'
'Did he tell you that before or after he fucked you?'
'Both,' you admitted after a moment of silence.
'What else are you not telling me,' Thyra asked, 'I can tell you're hiding something. I promise I won't rat him out, but you have to share whatever it is. Or it will eat you up, I know you. Is he asking you to do things for that club?'
'No!' you said, 'he tries to keep me away from everything.'
'Then what is it?'
Reluctantly you told her about the day you had that encounter with the fellow biker, who handed Sihtric drugs in your presence, and how Sihtric came back home to you, covered in blood.
'He said he only fought.'
'Is he…' Thyra's eyes grew wide, 'is he the guy who killed his half brother?'
'What?' you said, bewildered, 'no!'
'Are you sure? Because I read about that in the news, I think it was a day after you said that stuff happened.'
'No!' you defended your boyfriend, 'he would… he'd never do that,' doubt settled in your bones as you continued, 'I, he never… he never said he had a brother in the first place.'
'Well, if he killed him, I suppose he wasn't very fond of him, makes sense he wouldn't mention him' Thyra remarked, 'I don't remember his name, I only remember they wrote that the guy had an eyepatch,' she said.
Your stomach turned at her words, remembering the biker at the traffic light. You had no idea he was apparently dead. But surely, Sihtric wouldn't have done that? He told you he only got into a fight that night. Maybe something had happened after Sihtric already left?
'Tell me,' Thyra said, 'how much do you really know about this guy?'
'Enough,' you lied, 'and I know that I love him,' you said, truthfully.
And just as you said those words, you heard Sihtric's motorcycle approach, and you glanced over your shoulder. You and Thyra watched him park his bike and he took off his helmet. He hung his helmet on the handlebar and put on his shades. And as Sihtric walked up to you, he took off his leather jacket, showing off his muscular arms as he wore a dark grey sleeveless shirt.
'Oh, girl,' Thyra sighed as she saw Sihtric approach, 'you are simply kept cock drunk by that guy.'
You didn't even hear her as you looked at Sihtric, who gave you his sexy half smile as he walked up to your table and he lowered his shades for you. He took your chin and leaned in.
'Hey, baby,' Sihtric purred with a wink, and gave you a quick open mouthed kiss.
'Hey, handsome,' you giggled as you looked up at him, completely smitten.
And Thyra immediately saw the way Sihtric had you wrapped around his finger when he sat down next to you, putting his arm around your neck, keeping you locked against his side, in a possessive manner.

I'm only in Macau for one night, and to be honest it's not popular for visa runs because there's no budget accommodation. I came here for the day when I was living in China in 2017, and went back in the early evening for this very reason. As such, I had never seen Macau properly in the dark (the quest for McDonald's with the Taiwanese kid at 3 am in October doesn't count), and was very curious. Man, it is shiny.
I took the public bus from the airport because the fare was 6 MOP and I had exactly 6 HKD in coinage lurking in my closet from previous voyages (they're interchangeable in Macau). My fellow bus-riders did not appear to be tourists. I took the risk of trusting google maps regarding the bus route, and only felt betrayed for a moment before I realised it was making a detour because of construction, and still headed in the general correct direction, even if it took a bridge that didn't seem to exist on the map yet. Spellbound by the glittering lights and the thrill of being somewhere new, I was finally enjoying myself (having been anxious for days previous already).
Between my hotel and the bus stop was more neon signage than you could shake a stick at, I was enthralled. Check in went smoothly, and I hastened back out to walk around and take pictures. The old city side of Macau was quite hopping considering it was nearly 10 pm on a Tuesday night and cold out, Taipei feels a bit sleepy in comparison (or maybe I'm not going to the right places). I had very sensibly looked up a bunch of restaurants in advance in an attempt to divert for once my usual fate of walking around forever and not eating (although I had brought a lot of bananas with me to the airport after realising they weren't going to survive a week at home, so at least I wasn't running totally on empty). As usual, even the best laid plans can go awry when there are too many things to look at (by things I mean giant crabs in the window of the seafood restaurant). Somewhere around 22:30 I realised I needed to consume something before bed.
The go-to late-night food in Macau appears to be...beef offal. Now, I'm not opposed to offal, I like some grilled intestines at the izakaya, but this was a boiled affair and there were an intimidating amount of bits on display at the kiosks. Afraid I was running out of options before reaching my hotel again, I stopped at a takeaway stand that had a picture of a 煎餅 (fried pancake wrap thing) and inquired with the guy as to whether it could be obtained. (All the signage and menu was in Chinese, so I had started with Mandarin from the get-go.) There was no 煎餅 to be had. I could, however, have a box of rice accompanied by...[here we had many of those silver trays in a bain-marie, filled with various soupy things]. I asked him what one was. He told me "Lú lòu". I was baffled and told him I didn't understand. He said it again as if I'd misheard him. No, I really don't know what that is, I insisted. He said it again more loudly as if I were daft. Finally I remembered that [n] often becomes [l] for Cantonese speakers and he was saying niú roù 牛肉...beef 😑 Well then. I asked if he had any vegetables, which appeared to be an offensive request, so I resigned myself to 50 HKD of rice and meat chunks. Shortly after I discovered if I'd just kept walking, there were plenty of other options, but either way, I had dinner. When life gives you meat chunks...you start chewing.
Tomorrow my return flight is not til 4, which means I should mosey to the airport a bit prior to 2, so if I go to bed within the next 15 minutes I might make it for breakfast and some more trotting around looking at things (an activity that was cut short in 2017 on account of it being mid-summer and the heat rendering me somewhat delirious). These days going places often feels like a heinous exertion while in the planning stages, but once I'm out there I start getting into the spirit of it. Enrichment. Outside of my enclosure, even!

Voronezh Aliens
In what may be the most bizarre extra-terrestrial encounter ever reported, dozens of eyewitnesses claimed that in the autumn of 1989, a trio of three-eyed aliens — along with their mechanical companion — landed and attacked a pair of teens in a Russian park.
The Russian city of Voronezh is an industrial hub located about 300 miles from Moscow. The city has a population of nearly one million and hardly seems like the kind of isolated region that is ordinarily associated with strange alien encounters, yet on the evening of September 27, 1989, at about 6:30 pm., it became the host of what strikes many as being one of the most unusual, not to mention horrifying, encounters with creatures ever recorded. Eyewitnesses reported that on the evening in question a glowing, deep red, ovoid object — which they estimated to be approximately 45-feet wide and 18-feet high — circled above an area known as Levoberezhniy’s park. Witnesses swore that the “vehicle” hovered less than 40-feet above ground, close enough to disturb the grass below. Then, just as suddenly as it had arrived, the UFO soared away, leaving the eyewitnesses perplexed and no doubt more than a little relieved.
That was until the strange craft returned just minutes later. It hovered near a group of grade-school children; including Vasya Surin, Julia Sholokhova, Lena Sarokina, Alyosha Nikonov and Vova Startsev – who were engaged in a soccer match. But it wasn’t only children who saw the UFO. It was also spotted by 35 to 40 adults who were waiting at a nearby bus stop on Poutiline St. Both the kids and adults were awed by the spectacle before them and utterly unprepared for what they were about to see next. According to eyewitness accounts, a hatch on the underside of the still hovering craft opened to reveal an odd, long-armed, neck-less, thick-set, 9-foot tall entity with a small, knob-like head. The creature was clad in a silver jumpsuit with bronze boots and was so large it appeared to fill the hatch opening. As if the creature’s immensity wasn’t disturbing enough, eyewitnesses claimed that there were three luminous eyes wedged into its tiny, dome-like head. The being’s two outer eyes were whitish and the center eye — which was set slightly above the other two — was bright red and “swivelling around like a radar.” They also claimed that the alien had a disk-like object attached to its chest. This bizarre being seemed to methodically scan the terrain below, then sealed the hatch. Then the UFO made its descent.
Eyewitnesses stated that the object’s weight was so substantial that it permanently bent to the side a standing poplar tree that was near the craft. The object then hovered about 5-feet off the ground and extended four leg-like supports and landed softly on the grass. At this point, the alien that was seen through the open hatch now emerged from the ship followed by two equally colossal creatures that shared the same three-eyed visages. These extraordinary entities walked with a “heavy gait” and were followed by what witnesses described as a box-like robot, with push buttons on its front side. An alien adjusted one of the controls on the robot’s chest, enabling it to walk about in a “mechanical” fashion. The entities then began to examine the ground near where their craft had landed and proceeded to take some soil samples. One of the creatures made indecipherable sounds, which some eyewitnesses perceived to be orders. Then a beam of light emerged from the “chief” alien’s chest. The beam delineated a number of luminous triangles and rectangles — about 1-foot by half a foot wide — as if indicating something to its comrades. This frightened one young man so much he apparently cried out in alarm. At the sound the lead alien apparently fixed its gaze on the youngster, freezing him unnaturally in his tracks. This sent panic rippling through the rest of the terrified crowd and — as if this tale could get any weirder — witnesses claim that the aliens and the UFO all simultaneously disappeared. Nevertheless, this encounter was far from over.
Approximately five minutes later, the remaining witnesses, still stunned by what they had witnessed, were once again thrust back into the looking glass as the UFO and its occupants instantaneously reappeared at the same coordinates. One of the creatures was now carrying a “tube” that was about a foot in length. It aimed the tube toward a 16-year-old boy who was nearby and a beam shot out, causing the teen to disappear without a trace. Before a terror filled riot could ensue, the creatures re-entered the UFO. It retracted its landing gear and began its ascent, slowly increasing its speed. Just as the vehicle was disappearing from sight, the vaporized teen miraculously reappeared. Of course, it wasn't long before the press got wind of this harrowing and utterly bizarre tale of UFOs, robots, vanishing “guns” and gargantuan alien invaders.
Soon the story spread across the globe like wildfire. In no time, scores of scientists, Soviet Government agencies and reporters descended upon the city of Voronezh. Those interviewed claimed they had observed this UFO, not just during the incident in question, but also many times between the dates of September 21 and October 2, 1989. An investigation at the scene of the landing indicated that there were depressions in the ground in the shape of a large rhombus that must have been caused by something weighing several tons, but there were conflicting reports as to their cause. Scientists also allegedly found anomalies in the local magnetic field and background radiation, though these findings have also been disputed. Silanov further claimed that unearthly substances were found at the scene: At first glance, they looked like sandstone of a deep-red color. However, mineralogical analysis has shown that the substance cannot be found on Earth. However, additional tests are needed to reach a more definite conclusion.

Chapter 6
Jack’s worn-down car–how he acquired it, he’d rather not admit–rolled into the Walmart parking lot, and after a poorly aligned attempt at parking into a spot near the front entrance, the colorful cast exited the vehicle. Jack exited the driver’s seat door, standing and basking in the cooling 8pm air as Dave and Pruny exited from their respective seats.
But Jack could quickly hear Dave trying and failing to open the wrong door.
“I got it.”
So Jack opened the driver’s side back door and held Pruny’s hand to help her down to the ground. For some reason, the other back door on his car refused to budge open anymore some years ago. A minor detail that Jack had never particularly felt a relevant urgency to fix before.
There were a lot of things about his life-style Jack was starting to have to consider from an outsider’s point of view; things he’d previously learned to ignore the shame of. Things he’d previously accepted were fine left broken but now would have to be fixed–no, leave all that to Dave to sort out; Jack owes nothing to anyone.
But as they silently walked across the lot for the entrance, a sudden lack of company stopped Jack’s train of thought in its tracks to notice Dave stopping behind–
“Hey, kid,” he said to Pruny rather softly as he knelt down– “you wanna hop on my shoulders again?”
Yet again, the girl obliged Dave's offer with a curt nod and surprisingly little hesitation. So Dave bent down even further as she climbed onto his back. You’d swear they were real family if you didn’t know better.
“So; seeing as we came here without so much as a list of what to get, we should probably at least run through what we’re here for.”
“Right, good idea...” Though the two aubergines were more preoccupied with adjusting comfortably to Pruny being sat on his shoulders.
“So, uh, Pruny?” But he didn’t have her attention immediately as she balanced herself against Dave’s long neck. Though it then occurred to Jack that figuring out what things she’d prefer wouldn’t be as simple as just asking her anyway.
“C’mon, let’s start with the clothes.”
“Alrighty.”
“...By the way…” Jack turned his attention to Pruny, or rather, her shirt; “Why on earth did you get Pruny a size extra large? No way that’s all they had left?”
“C’mon, you gotta give a growin’ kid at least two sizes up! makes it last longer.”
“It also makes her look ridiculous.”
Pruny clutched her shirt sleeve as if in subconscious defense of it.
“We’re gonna get you nice clothes that actually fit you, and then you’ll know where I’m coming from.”
Dave rolled his eyes as Jack forged ahead for the kid’s section of the clothes area.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Peter…
The name resonated voicelessly from nowhere, from somewhere inside of himself. He couldn’t tell what the importance of it was.
‘He’? Oh... he would be Scott Cawthon of course, he was reminded.
Yet this Peter was more than a name… he was needed to crack some kind of code.
But…
…But all mulling about codes and names was put aside when he promptly remembered the time; no, he didn’t have the time to daydream, he still had toast to finish and he should be out the door for work in five minutes or so. Not that Freddy’s was picky down to the minute about tardiness, but his bus sure was. It had all admittedly been much easier at his previous job when he and Carolyn could more easily coordinate around their one car.
Whatever. This job hopefully wouldn’t have to be for too much longer.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Dave, keep in mind that I have to afford all this,” Jack said while Dave dumped a fourth skirt into the cart. Considering that Pruny had not done much more than stand there and nod approvingly, it seemed more like Dave was picking out her clothes than she was. But at least he was picking out medium sizes like Jack told him to.
“‘Afford’? Please, Old Sport, consider this all on me!”
“Oh? You don’t strike me as someone with much buying power.” But as soon as he admitted it aloud, he immediately noticed the error in his assumption.
“Yeah, I guess ‘buying power’s’ a creative way to put it...”
Jack was no stranger to shoplifting himself; the Freddy’s “pay wage” would have made sure of that if his own relaxed morals hadn’t already beaten them to the punch. But usually his shoplift attempts were more… well, they didn’t usually involve a growing pile of colorful clothes.
That, and being orange was conspicuous enough. Being an orange dude accompanied by two purple people was getting them several looks.
“There any other ones you want, Pruny?”
Pruny responded by looking around the place thoughtfully. Despite how much Dave towered over her as he looked down at her (there must have been a four foot height difference between them), she didn’t show any nerves anymore–not since they’d gone home, now that he thought about it. She even made direct eye contact with the men that were almost going to be her murderers.
Why did that thought put such a chill through Jack’s spine? Should he unpack that later–?
After tilting her body around a rack of shirts, Pruny started running off to the section next door, looking back at them briefly as she ran to make sure she was being followed as she headed for the shoe section. Jack was happy that Pruny seemed to be enjoying all this so much.
“I guess she’s right, we haven’t gotten her new shoes yet.”
“Hmm. That might present a slight hiccup… But hey, ole Davey always finds a way in the end!”
“What, in your shoplifting scheme?”
“Yes, that. You can’t wear more than two pairs of shoes at once; believe me, I tried.”
“...Two ‘pairs’?”
“Eh, it’s not a big deal, actually. They’re not gonna give enough shit to strip a man of his shirt.”
“Ah. Comforting.”
The two’s walking pace finally caught up to Pruny who was already excitedly inspecting shoe box after shoe box in a row. The mother and her son at the other end of the aisle unsubtly excused themselves upon their arrival.
Pruny then seemed to settle on a pair, as she reached to take the box out of its shelf and then took it to show its contents to her–...
…What were Dave and Jack to her right now? Guardians? Jack hoped not… And what would that make him and Dave–
But Jack immediately brushed the unanswered questions aside to inspect the pink sandals Pruny was holding up to them which each had a pinker plastic flower adorning them.
Pruny was beaming up at both of them as if awaiting validation, so Jack naturally put on his old brotherly smile. “I like them, they're very cute.”
“Yeah!” Dave interjected, pushing himself forward with interest. “Do they fit ya? C'mon, go try 'em on right now, let's see how they look on ya!”
Dave took the box from her and knelt down to her level. As Pruny took off one of her incredibly worn tennis shoes, Dave took out and held the corresponding sandal out to her, and she accordingly slipped her foot into it.
“There! Fits just right like a princess!”
That got a shy blushing grin from Pruny who directed her gaze strictly down to her feet.
This whole ‘princess’ schtick that Dave had been keeping up with her throughout their clothes shopping was getting a bit too cheesy for Jack who was glad that Dee had always been more tomboyish. But Dave seemed to be really enjoying their night of pampering their new friend.
But that begged the question, why was Dave such a natural at interacting with her? Considering, y'know... his latest past times... In some ways he even rivaled Peter’s doting… What would Peter have thought of Pruny if he were still around? He probably would have liked her–
–no, that's enough of that train of thought.
“Let's get you a pair of better tennis shoes, and then let's call it a night on the shopping, alright? It’s almost 10 o’clock.”
"Not without trying all her clothes before leavin'!"
"As long as you're quick about it, sure."
Pruny nodded and began happily inspecting boxes again on the other end where the more athletic wear seemed to be. Dave followed right behind her, also looking on the higher shelves for suitable shoe candidates.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Peter’s mind wandered as he watched the scenery pass by on that bus... house by house, then building by building... Until that godforsaken bear’s face came into view again as the bus slowed to its next stop.
And then he arrived.
And then he was in his costume again.
And then he saw his coworker Henry.
And then there was blood.  Everywhere–
H-His blood–
Scott woke up with a jolt.
…And that always means the beginning of another tedious day of the Freddy’s grind– No, there was silence where usually an alarm was blaring on his desk; and sure enough it's still only 10pm. Strange. He doesn’t usually wake so spontaneously on his own.
And as his tired mind tried to lull itself back to sleep, Scott’s mind therefore drifted back to ‘Peter.’
Peter, huh? Another one of those dreams again. They never left him feeling right. Rather, they left him feeling… unsatisfied... with something he couldn’t pinpoint. He theorized maybe a part of him was jealous of this fictional guy’s life, after all, anyone would dream of a better life than being a Fazbender’s Phone Guy.
But there he went wanting again when he had no business expecting anything better of life.
But then his mind jumped to Jack and that girl–Pruny. Seeing those two this evening, it was uncanny.
…uncanny… how…?
Scott drifted back asleep before he could question it further. After all, Dee was already done with her homework and he hadn’t even started dinner yet.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Well, that’ll do nicely! Just like nothing ever happened!” Dave said as he and Pruny exited the changing rooms, Pruny seemingly back in her original clothes that she came in after trying everything on. But she was evidently not nearly as comfortable as before with how tight everything felt on her.
“Where’d that tangerine go? That bastard musta wandered off somewhere.” Dave didn’t think they took that long to change. But their cart was still there where they left it at least.
Dave then looked down at Pruny who was clearly rather awkward in all her clothes. Understandable, but she’d have to deal with it for now, at least until they get to the car. Sure was a good thing he got her that Extra Large to cover it all up, huh! He patted her on the head as if to reassure her before gesturing to the self-conscious girl to follow along as he wandered ahead in search of– ah! There the man was, not far off and conveniently on his way back carrying… a couple somethings.
“Why hello there, old sport! Whatcha got there?”
“We can’t be forgetting socks and underwear in all of this excitement, can we? Rookie mistake.”
“Ah, suppose you’re right.”
“These should probably fit her based on her pants size. Otherwise we’ll just ret–” …Wait, can you even return stolen goods? …Well, upon checking their price again real quick, Jack certainly wouldn't be very interested in paying for these now anyway.
“…Did ya have to get the most boring color imaginable? White!? C’mon now, she’s a girl, give ‘er some pink or something!”
“What’s even the point of colored underwear other than upcharges?"
"Old Sport, we're not paying for them-"
"But I’m sure she has more than enough pink to last her a lifetime by now. Are you sure pink is even her favorite color?”
“Sure it is! Right Prune? You like pink, don’t ya?”
“Y-Yeah!” She said rather cheerfully without missing a beat.
…Jack and Dave both took an impressed moment’s pause. But Dave quickly jumped back in.
“See? It’s not like I picked everything out for her, y’know, most of this was all her choosin’ it out!” he emphatically gestured. But he gestured at Pruny in her god-awful oversized Toy Freddo shirt that she came in. Jack sighed, knowing better.
“...You’re really making her wear all of it at once under that shirt!? Can’t you smuggle it any better way?"
"I do this all the time, but I can't really do it for her, now can I? I already got shoes in my shirt."
"Still, poor kid’s gotta be sweating already.”
“Which is why we should prolly head out soon. They’re gonna close in fifteen anyways.”
“Alright, can’t say I disagree. I’m getting exhausted by all of today.”
“Ah that’s right, we’ll have to get some blankets for me ‘n Prune!”
“For ‘you’ and Prune?”
Dave cracked a smile he probably thought was persuasive.
“...”
“...”
“...”
*sigh* “I’ll go get the blankets. Just hurry up and take Pruny to the car so she can take some of those layers off already.”
“Aye-aye!” he saluted as he reached for Pruny’s hand to lead them out the entrance doors.
Jack however restrained another sigh at the thought of blowing what little money he’d managed to scrape up. But he’d had more than enough smuggling antics for one night.

Izuku Midoriya
2018 backlogs part 6? This was my first time writing angst :D
-----------------------------------------------
You stood there behind the grand double doors shaking nervously. You tapped softly on the door signaling that you were ready as you heard the orchestral music flare to life. The doors open from the other side revealing rows upon rows of loved ones and friends. Slowly your feet start moving as if in their own as you walk down the middle of the room towards the green haired man in a black tux; his eyes filled with tears as he cries seeing you in all your glory. He looked amazing from that far away but as you joined him on the podium he was gorgeous. The officiator started his script but you couldn't hear him as you stared at your soon to be husband.
"(Y/N) do you take Izuku as your lawfully wedded husband?" The officiator asks but in Ochako's voice?
"(Y/N)? (Y/N)?-" Her voice pulled you out of your world. "-you were daydreaming again we're almost there."
You looked around reconnecting with reality. You were surrounded by your loud excited peers on a bus with uncomfortable seats. Ochako, Tsu, and Ashido were sitting with staring at you with knowing looks. They know about your huge crush on the broccoli headed boy.
"It's not going to get anywhere unless you tell him you know. Ribbit." Tsu said quietly trying to not draw attention to your conversation. Before you could speak the bus stopped and you were all ushered out.
The next couple minutes went by quickly a you weren't actually paying attention to what was going on. You did catch a couple things though. The loud boisterous group called themselves the wild wild pussy cats. You had until tonight to get to the house place you'd be sleeping. Those were the main two points you caught within the ruckus.
Once they were done Mina walked over to her main squad as you saw Iida, Todoroki, and Izuku walk over to Ochako, Tsu and you.
"This is going to take forever we should probably start walking." You stated with a sigh not looking forward to the long journey. They all agree as you start down the cliff heading in the direction you're meant to go in.
After what seemed like hours it was beginning to get dark and you were tired. Everyone was sore and tired slowly trying to just make it there to eat and rest. The group of you were all laughing and talking trying to distract yourselves but you must have looked as tired as you felt because you saw a green haired figure gesture for you to get in his back. If you were less tired you'd argue but instead you just let him hold you up as you rest your head on his shoulder as your heart rate quickens and both of your faces turn red. After a while you finally make it and you all head inside.
After dinner you all decide to go to the hot springs and then go to bed. The next morning you get up, get ready, and head to breakfast. The breakfast was huge and really good and made you totally ready to start training today! After you finish eating you all head outside ready to train. Ready to strain your bodies pushing yourselves to your limits. Until you're told you'll be in teams in the woods scaring each other.
You may have a strong quirk but you were pretty easily startled. As they told you the groups you were in you didn't pay much attention until you heard your name.
"(Y/N) will be paired with Midoriya Izuku." You felt your stomach knot. Alone in the woods with your crush? You could hardly breathe. Nerves and excitement flowing through your veins. A light blush spreading across your face. Little did you know the same was happening to him.
After the two of you head into the woods it was quiet. Neither of you had the courage to say anything it wasn't uncomfortable though. There was only slight awkwardness in the air. As time passed though something seemed wrong. You heard distant screams but you figured it was just from people being scared.
That was until you saw a certain artificial human and a young male covered in fake hands. The two of you tensed up ready to fight shaking nervously. With a nod from Shigaraki Nomu lunged forward.
The fight was long and arduous seeming to take an eternity. After, you're not sure how long, of kicking and punching and throwing you two felt broken. Every time you used your quirk your body ached and it was weak; it was hard for you to even breathe. Your ribs were bruised or broken much like rest of your body, blood spilling from a number of cuts and gashes scattered across your once soft skin.
You weren't nearly as bad as Izuku is though. His body almost entirely purple he had no strength left he couldn't move. He couldn't fight. He couldn't protect himself. You did your best your body giving out slowly as you sent another punch. Your speed slowed dramatically. Nomu caught your hand brutally crushing it as he whipped you into a tree blood being coughed from your lungs. He grabbed your face violently bashing your head into the tree. You heard loud snapping sounds; unsure if was your skull or the tree. Maybe it was both.
"Nomu enough. Hold them." Shigaraki's voice sounded muffled by the loud ringing in your ears. Nomu obeyed instantly as it held your body tight against his own your back. You could barely breathe. That's when you saw him. The tears were blurring your face but you could still see his limp broken form trying to get to you reaching for you.
You struggled helplessly against Nomu's strength. Reaching out to him as if if you struggled enough you could reach him and pull him away. You were the only one reaching for him though. Shigaraki places his entire hand firmly and forcefully on Izuku's back. You could hear him scream. Watching as his back decayed in front of your eyes.
"Izuku!" You screamed.
"(Y/N)!" He screamed in response choking out his words as he tried his best to crawl to your struggling figure. Shigaraki forced his hand down pushing harder on your Deku's broken purple back. You saw as the decay make its way across his body his legs almost completely disintegrated. His screams of agony piercing not only your ears but your heart. You try to shut your eyes but you can't. You can't look away as much as you want to.
It wasn't long until the guy you loved was nothing his vitals decayed rapidly as you saw his head and extended hand fall. His suffering was over but yours wasn't. Shigaraki was making you watch until the very end. You could barely see it through your tears but you could tell his body was gone. Nomu abruptly dropped you and within an instant you were where Izuku's broken body once was. You knelt there crying as Shigaraki left with Nomu done with what he set out to do.
"I love you Izuku.. I'm so sorry I couldn't save you!" You cried. The physical and emotional pain was too much as you stood up to try to find someone. Anyone.
You stumbled around the woods until you saw the familiar figures of Shoji and Tokoyami. Noticing you they rush over to your crying broken frame. You immediately collapse crying. Shoji quickly wraps his arms around you lifting you up and you coke through your tears telling them what happened. Your blood and Shoji's blood mix on your clothes as a struggling Tokoyami stands there in silence.
The three of you walk back to where the house was. You last thought being the face Izuku had while looking at you moments before his death. Darkness. You slipped into an all encompassing darkness. Your consciousness leaving you.
Your love never being known. You'd never know he felt for you. To live your life unknowing. To live your life with this memory.

Concerts and Scary Movies
Halstead!Sister wants to go to a concert, the brothers don’t think it’s a good idea. What happens when she goes behind their back?
Requested? Nope, the idea for this came to me and I decided to write it.
Jay Halstead x Will Halstead x Halstead!Sister
MONDAY
————
“Can I go to a concert?” Asked Y/N while walking into the kitchen.
“Well good morning to you,” laughed Jay while carrying his cup of coffee to the table and sitting down.
“So can I?” repeated Y/N, while also taking a seat at the table.
Taking a sip of his coffee, Jay looked at you and thought for a moment, “Where is it at?”
“Northerly Island” you stated.
“That’s going to be a no from me, sorry short stack” replied Jay.
“What! Why not?” You asked annoyed.
Jay got up and placed his cup in the sink and sighed, “You’re 15, Sure Northerly Island is near the Planetarium and I know you’ve been lots of times there, but that was during the day. Do you remember our rule about going in and out of town at night?”
Rolling your eyes you recited, “Once it’s dark out don’t go past North and Clybourn….But you said it yourself I’m 15! I’m not a kid anymore, I’ll be safe!”
“No, now end of story, I have to leave for work and you have to go to school!” stated Jay while effectively shutting down the conversation.
———————————————————————
Walking into the apartment after school you were greeted by Will sitting on the couch.
You suddenly had an idea,
“Hey Will” you sweetly asked.
“Oh, no, what do you want” laughed Will while ushering you to sit next to him.
“Can I go to a concert?” You asked while taking a seat.
“Depends, when is it?”
You smiled, “Friday at 6:30pm”
Will thought about it for a moment and asked, “Where is the venue?”
“Uh, Northerly Island?” You mumbled, while looking at the floor.
Will sighed and rubbed his face with his hand.
“I’m sorry short stack, you know the rules about going in and out of town at night.”
“But all my friends are going!”
“I don’t care, you’re not going! I’m off tomorrow anyways, so you can just stay here and watch a movie with me. We can even make those cookies you like so much”
“No, you and Jay are mean! I just want to go hang out with my friends!”
“We are just looking out for you. You will thank us later in life I promise.” And with that, Will turned on a baseball game officially ending the conversation.
FRIDAY @5PM
———————
You were sitting on your bed staring at your laptop thinking about how you could sneak out. Sure your brothers said you couldn’t go, but you were 15! You had been taking the ‘L’ and the bus by yourself since you were 12 and had been riding them with your brothers since before you could walk. You could totally make it to Northerly Island, watch the concert and make it back before Jay and Will knew you were gone. You just had to get past them first.
“Y/N, I’m making Will watch IT Chapter 2 and we are making popcorn if you want to join” called Jay from the other side of your door.
You stared at the google maps page open on your desktop and then stared at the shut door and you decided, “As fun as that sounds, I have a ton of homework I need to work on” you replied.
Knocking before opening your door, Jay walked in and stated, “You sure you can’t take a break? Will hates scary movies so it’s going to be funny watching him freak out”
You shook your head, “Sorry”
“That’s okay. Though I guess it was good thing you didn’t go to the concert then huh” smiled Jay while leaning against your doorframe.
“Yea yea” you said while shooing him out of the room.
The minute you saw your door close and heard his footsteps head towards the living room, you shoved your laptop to the side, quickly changed, grabbed your purse and climbed out your window.
Once you had gotten on the ‘L’ you took an empty seat and waited.
Making it to Roosevelt stop was easy, but the minute you got off, you noticed how empty the subway was. You ran up the stairs and noticed the bus you needed was just leaving “shit” you thought to yourself. That was your surefire safe way to get to the Island. But then you remembered that you could walk the 25minutes to the venue no problem, so that’s what you did. However every little sound, homeless person, and ambulance you saw and heard was making you more and more on edge.
MEANWHILE
——————
Laughing as Will shoved his head in the throw pillow for the umpteenth time, the credits finally rolled, Jay shook his head.
“How do you like these types of movies?” Complained Will.
“What’s not to like? Besides the scariest thing in this movie is Eddie’s mom and her tracksuit” Jay laughed while visibly shuddering while thinking about the character.
“I wonder how Y/N’s homework is coming along” stated Will while getting up.
“Where are you going?” Asked Jay while grabbing a handful of popcorn from the bowl on the table in front of him.
“To check on her” replied Will while walking out of the room.
Stopping in front of your door, he knocked and called out, “Y/N, how’s the homework coming along? Want to take a break and watch another movie with us?” When he got no response he knocked again, “Y/N? You good?”
When he got no response again, he knocked louder and stated, “I’m coming in” and with that he opened the door.
The scene in front of him shocked him. Your bed sheets were crumpled and pushed to the end of the bed, your laptop was on your bed laying upside down, your pjs were in a pile on the floor, and your window was wide open. “Jay!” Yelled Will.
Bolting from the living room, Jay ran into the room and muttered, “Shit, she went to the concert”
Will just nodded.
PLANETARIUM
———————
You were maybe 10 minutes away from the venue, when you heard a twig snap and you finally broke down. You fell to the ground and started bawling and rocking while holding your knees to your chest.
You were a naturally anxious person, but you normally had it under control. But this was the first time you had been out at night so far into town by yourself and you were already anxious about getting caught or something bad happening to you (thanks Jay and Will) so it was no surprise you had finally snapped.
“Jay…Will…Help” you cried while liquid snot fell from your nose.
JAY’S TRUCK
———————
“We are horrible brothers, how the hell did she sneak out under our noses?” Spiraled Jay while driving down Solidary Drive.
“She had a good alibi, and we were watching a movie, it happens. I specifically remember you sneaking out a few times when we were teens” calmly stated Will while looking out the window trying to locate you.
“I guess, I just wish she would have listened to us”
“Me too... me too”
Jay was driving slower than usual so that the both of them had time to look for you, when Will noticed a body huddled near the Planetarium rocking. “Jay! Stop the car! I think I found her!” He screamed while pointing your way.
The truck skidded to a halt and Will jumped out of the car.
“Y/N!”
PLANETARIUM
———————
You heard someone call your name and you looked up slightly to see Will running towards you and Jay not too far behind.
“Will!” You screamed while holding your arms out. Will crouched in front of you and engulfed you in a hug. “Are you okay?” He asked calmly.
All you could do is shake your head no.
Pulling you away from him he took in your snot filled face and trembling body. “Did someone do something? Are you hurt?” He asked while going into doctor mode.
You shook your head, “No, I was just really scared. I was on edge the whole walk here and then I heard a twig snap and I lost it” you began crying again. Jay dropped down next to you and pulled you into a side hug. “You’re okay” he repeated in your hair.
Once you were all back in the truck, you whispered, “so how much trouble am I in?”
Jay sighed and looked at you in the rear view mirror, “I’d say 2 weeks no phone or laptop and you have to watch any movie me or Will want to watch with no complaints. Does that sound fair Will?”
Thinking about the punishment, Will turned to look at you and replied, “I think that’s plenty fair.”
All you could do was groan and look out the window.

Let Me Count the Ways
Chapter Twelve - Accidentally More Successful Than Ladybug Was Expecting (It Was An Accident Because Chat Noir’s Still A Dummy)
[Ch 1] [Ch 2] [Ch 3] [Ch 4] [Ch 5] [Ch 6] [Ch 7] [Ch 8] [Ch 9] [Ch 10] [Ch 11]
Saturday’s afternoon joint patrol was fairly normal, and by now, that was fairly odd. Ladybug maintained her previously normal distance away from him. She didn’t touch him. She didn’t compliment him. She didn’t bring him anything she’d sewn or baked for him, or tell him jokes, or smile at him every time he looked her way. She didn’t even spend the patrol with him, really.
They were far enough apart that it was like two solo patrols side-by-side instead of a joint one. And after the closeness of the last few weeks, it kind of stung. This was what it had been like before, before Ladybug’s list of odd behaviors was longer than he was tall, before she started having problems with the other boy again. Chat Noir didn’t want to go back to that.
But after last night’s disastrous game of hide and seek, maybe this was better.
That line of thinking was shot to pieces less than 60 seconds after it entered his mind. Ladybug stopped on a balcony, stood tall and proud on the stone railing, hands on her hips, watching the people walk by below, making sure everyone was safe. A breeze tousled her hair, letting a few strands caress her face, and he wished he could, too. When he touched down next to her, she took one look at him and leaped away.
The separation between them was agonizing. What had made him think he couldn’t handle himself last night? He could handle anything if it meant he could have her attention and touch again.
As the afternoon dragged into evening and she still ignored him, he filled the time alternating between how he could ask her to be closer to him (without sounding needy and creepy), and trying to convince himself that she wasn’t really ignoring him and it wasn’t personal.
All the while, a quiet doubt grew. What if she was back to normal because her life was back to normal? Maybe she was over what had been bothering her and didn’t need him anymore. He chucked that terrible thought away as fast as it could whenever it surfaced. She did need him. She did.
He landed next to her again, this time on the roof of a parked city bus, she shrieked and jumped away, landing in a heap next to the bus stop sign.
“Are you okay?” he asked desperately, peering down at her.
“Perfect!” she yelled. “Great! Why wouldn’t I be!” She tripped as she ran down the sidewalk. Away from him.
It was the first time in his life that he’d felt relief that she’d lied to him.
With ten minutes left of their patrol, Ladybug’s not-okay-ness started becoming more apparent. She glanced over at him more than she had in the entire first hour, always with a frown or a pull of her pigtails. When she looked away, her mouth would twitch, like there was something she wanted to say but couldn’t think of the words. Once, she scrubbed her hands over her face, and he swore he heard a muffled scream.
With five minutes left of patrol, she opened the screen of her yoyo to check something, only to snap it shut when he peered over her shoulder.
With two minutes left, she took a sharp detour, only stopping to make sure he was following before cutting across two side streets.
“Oh, look,” she called as they soared parallel to the river and past Andre’s cream-colored cart. She stopped on a nearby roof, flat and easy to watch the couples waiting in line, all of them hand-in-hand.
“Do you want some ice cream?” She stretched, like she wasn’t watching Chat Noir carefully. The peek out of the corner of her eye gave her away, though. “Seeing Andre reminded me I haven’t had any in a while.”
“Sure,” he said. Anything to spend more time with her, especially of the “sitting together and talking” variety after the “strained and distant” variety he’d experienced all afternoon.
“Great!” She turned to him and smiled, one that was wide enough to show all her teeth, and then clasped her hands together in front of her. And then clasped them behind her. “How about tomorrow?”
“What?” he said. “Why not now?”
Her hands jumped in front of her again. “R-right now? But I need to get ready! Well, I mean, yes, I would love to, sure, yes, now. I mean.” She ran her hand through her hair, only to get her fingers caught in her pigtail and nearly yank it out. “Andre’s right there. Of course, if you want to. Sure, right now! I would love to!”
Chat Noir gaped after her as she hopped off the building and marched toward the cart that was parked by the river’s edge, just to the right of the bridge. What was she so nervous about? Getting ice cream? It had literally been her idea. How did you “get ready” for eating ice cream?
Ladybug took her place at the end of the line and waved him over as the people ahead of her turned and stared.
Chat Noir closed his mouth, shook his head, and followed her.

The mysterious passenger / amanda
summary: An encounter on the train between Gabrielle (my original female character) and Amanda leads to an unexpected, fluffy conversation.
Tumblr media
It had been a frenetic day for Gabrielle. She had a job on the other side of the city, at the renowned Queen of Tarts' bakery, always crowded with customers at every hour of the day. Due to the upcoming holiday season, she was busier than ever. She had already booked over one hundred gift boxes to assemble within the next days. Luckily, she didn't work alone, there were three other colleagues responsible for the packaging. However, the workload was still a lot. Gabrielle had ended her shift at 6:45 PM, having started at 12:00 PM that day and now she was waiting at the bus stop to go home. Sun had gone down for a while, the sky was clear, but devoid of any stars. Gabrielle checked the time on her wristwatch, with a frown. She had been waiting for almost an hour now. It was unusual such a bit delay, "Are you kidding me?" she muttered to herself as a cloud of vapor escaped her lips.
She wasn't the only one waiting there. With her, a dozen of people, chilled from head to toe, was pacing back and forth on the sidewalk. Gabrielle pulled her black coat a little tighter around herself, since she felt like shivering: she was wearing a red sweater, with long and puffy sleeves on the shoulders, black jeans and a pair of ankle boots of the same color, in a sophisticated cowgirl style, and on top of her head a simple white beanie. If there was something that characterized Gabrielle's style from others', certainly her collection of beanies was worth mentioning.
"It's ridiculous," a teenage girl groaned. She picked up her phone, checking the time for the tenth time in a bunch of seconds. Gabrielle turned to face her, nodding slowly at the oddness of the situation. "It's been two hours and still no bus is coming this way," a middle-aged man complained. Acknowledging that, Gabrielle's eyes opened wide in shock, truly hoping to have heard it wrong. She had been waiting for an hour, but she hadn't considered the possibility of a bigger delay, "Wait, what? One was supposed to show up at 5:35?", she asked confusedly, but the man shook his head, desolated. He pointed out a woman a bit further on, head bent down over her groceries trolley. "She said she's been waiting for much longer than that," Gabrielle had to bite her inner cheek hard, to prevent herself from cussing loudly in front of everybody.
She checked the time once again. It was 7:50 PM now. She thought about her dog. All she wanted was to snuggle with her on her lap, watching a movie and had a cozy evening. Then she had an idea. She remembered there was a train that everyday left exactly at 7:55. It could take her close to home, with only a small walking path to cover for about 10 minutes. She sighed and walked inside the station, the coming and going of people was chaotic exactly how she imagined. Luckily for her, her binary number nine was close enough to the entrance, so she found it easily. She took a sigh of relief, and once in front of the train car, she pushed the button in the middle, that automatically threw the doors open. It was warmer inside, but not enough for Gabrielle to take off her coat and beanie.
She rubbed her hands together while looking for a quiet place to sit. She loved to sit close to the window, that's why she smiled when she found a free spot in the left lane, that looked out to binary number 10, but when the train left, she would have a nice view upon the city illuminated by Christmas lights. The controller announced the train was departing and Gabrielle leaned against the seat, finding herself closing her eyes for a bit.
A voice came up to her ears, "Excuse me, may I sit here?", it was sweet, delicate and friendly. Gabrielle immediately felt attracted to the sound, and when she opened her eyes, she thought she had seen the most beautiful woman to ever exist. Blushing and blinking softly, she nodded, "Sure. Go ahead," she tried to reciprocate the smile, trying not to look like a complete idiot. The woman thanked her and sat down in the seat in front of hers, so that they were facing one another. The gap between them wasn't much, that's why for a moment their knees brushed together, making Gabrielle shiver.
Gabrielle turned towards the window, but out of the corner of her eye, she was looking at that mysterious passenger, who, with all the free seats available, decided to sit close to her. She couldn't contain the happiness at the thought, and her smile could only grow when their eyes met again. The woman laughed softly, because Gabrielle as clumsy as ever, tried to avert her gaze before she could notice, failing miserably. She blushed profusely and narrowed her lips in a thin line. The blonde woman in front of her tried to break the ice, "I'm sure it will be snowing soon," she muttered dreamily, averting her gaze from Gabrielle to the view outside.
"Right," replied Gabrielle, "the peaks of the mountains are snowy. It's a matter of time now..." Gabrielle's hazelnut eyes twinkled in anticipation. The blonde turned to look at her once again, on her lips appeared a soft smile. "It's the best time of the year, don't you think?", she asked with enthusiasm. Gabrielle was ready to agree with her, but the other woman groaned as if she was suddenly embarrassed by something, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't bother you," she chuckled nervously, then added, "You probably have other things in mind," she shook her head, as if she was disappointed in herself. "Hey, it's alright," Gabrielle laughed softly. She found it adorable that she had worried to the point that her beautiful face reddened completely. The woman looked up at her questioningly, still unsure, so Gabrielle added, "I'm happy to talk to you," she smiled, "And I agree with you."
The woman reciprocated her smile, "My name's Amanda," she reached out to touch Gabrielle's hand, who squeezed it softly. She had never touched a smoother hand in her life before, "I'm Gabrielle. Gabs for short." She finally took a moment to appreciate the way Amanda was dressed: she was wearing a cute knee-length flowery dress, on top of that, a gray coat left unbuttoned and ankle boots like hers, but with a slightly higher heel. She, too, was wearing a beanie embroidered with both purple and gray, absolutely adorable. She had short blonde hair that came out the beanie in soft and messy curls. Her chocolate brown eyes had made her feel at home since the very beginning, and those lips, well, truth be told, she had wished to kiss those too right away.
"What's your stop?" Amanda asked her, lightly tilting her head to the side. Gabrielle smiled promptly, "Notting Hill Gates. What about you?", she averted her gaze and focused on a series of gift packages that were laying on the seat next to hers, "I see, you've shopped!", Amanda nodded at that, tiredness was evident in her eyes as she remembered everything behind the research of the perfect gift. "I hop off two stops ahead of yours. Bond's Street," Gabrielle was delighted about the information, glad the two lived actually close to one another. Then the blonde pointed at the bags, "These are for my sister and my sweet, lively nephew," she said, rolling her eyes a bit, while stressing the words sweet and lively. It made Gabrielle giggle. "Genuinely, you have no idea how much I've learned about the world of Lego in a single day," she scoffed and took off her beanie, feeling suddenly too warm in there. Gabrielle found herself blinking in awe. Amanda was absolutely a sight for her eyes. That short blonde hair, lightly curled on the tips, framed her face perfectly.
"I don't have any children on my own, but I can understand the struggle. As a child, I was quite demanding when it came to gifts," Gabrielle wasn't sure about the reason why she confessed that peculiarity about her, but she didn't regret the choice, considering that it made Amanda laugh softly, "I bet you were adorable," she commented, getting lost in Gabrielle's hazelnut eyes. The woman blushed as consequence, she couldn't see herself but she imagined to be as red as a roasted pepper. She pretended to think about it, only to admit that she was right, "Also the prettiest," she joked and Amanda hummed in thought. Her eyebrow raised consequently, "Mhm, I don't know about that...", she trailed off.
Gabrielle frowned, partially offended by Amanda's doubts. The blonde continued, "We should compare our baby pictures to see who deserves the podium," she grinned, a playful glimmer shone in her eyes. She was just kidding, Gabrielle thought and smiled softly. She, then, swept her tongue over her lips, deciding to play along. "I suppose you're right. That needs further investigation," the two continued to talk about everything and nothing. The initial embarrassment seemed a far memory, it dissolved second after second a little more.
"Do you have any children?", Gabrielle asked point black, only after having pronounced those words, she realized that it was a rather personal question to ask someone new. She mentally called herself stupid for having such a big mouth. But surprisingly, Amanda didn't appear bothered by the question. "No, it's just me," with that being said, Gabrielle's heart pounded in her chest at incredibly speed and strength. She exhaled shakily, before mouthing, "Great," Amanda furrowed her brows in both amusement and confusion. She chuckled, "Excuse me?", Gabrielle bit her bottom lip hard, "Shit, I meant...", she took off her beanie, and racked her fingertips through her dark, shaggy hair. A habit she had whenever she felt nervous. Amanda couldn't prevent herself from being captured by the sight. Gabrielle was so beautiful.
"I'm sorry, I mean, I'm not, cause it's not a bad thing, I didn't mean it as one, but what I meant is that, ugh...", she shook her head helplessly, "Tell me you understood," Amanda, who had tried to keep a straight face all along, ended up bursting into a fit of giggles, for how hard she was trying to justify herself, "I did. Stop torturing yourself," she muttered softly and reached out to touch Gabrielle's knee. The brunette gulped at the contact. Truth be told, Amanda was dying to touch her hair, stroke it in between her fingertips. But she refrained herself form doing so, not wanting to appear inappropriate or too rushed, "What about you? Do you live alone?", the blonde asked, a part of her hoping she did.
Her eyes couldn't lie, not even if she tried. The way she nibbled her bottom lip was the further proof of her eagerness to know Gabrielle was a single woman. "Yes and no," she said, intentionally keeping vague for a bunch of seconds. Amanda's mouth fell partially agape, disappointment washed over her brown eyes. Gabrielle saw it and felt sorry. She couldn't keep up the play any further, because Amanda suddenly looked like a lost puppy. All she wanted was to smooch her with kisses, and— 'oh my God, Gab, stop it right now' she mentally scolded herself. "It's just me and Moka, a doggie I adopted five years ago," Amanda exhaled a sigh of relief even, "Oh, that's...great," realizing she had answered as Gabrielle did at the mention of her not having any children, she widened her eyes.
It was Gabrielle's turn to laugh, considering the roles switched, "m' sorry," Amanda muttered, rubbing the root of her nose as to keep control of her nervousness. But Gabrielle was more than fine, she smiled genuinely and told her everything was alright, since there wasn't an actual reason to apologize, "So we're both... I mean," she searched for the right word this time, but Amanda preceded her, "Single as a pringle? Absolutely," both ended up giggling like two schoolgirls, "You couldn't be more accurate," answered the brunette. Amanda nodded and leaned further in, closer to Gabrielle, "It's not a bad thing though," a playful glimmer lit up her eyes, a grin tugged at her lips. Gabrielle was trying her best not to stare at them too long: so plump and soft. She nodded, and a moment of silence fell between them, as they focused on each other's features.
"May I ask you, what you were doing downtown?", "Just work," she quickly replied, without much enthusiasm. Amanda, though, seemed interested, so Gabrielle decided to add some extra details, "Have you ever heard of The Queen of Tarts?", on Amanda's face, an expression of pure stupor showed up. She gasped, "Are you kidding me? That place is heaven!" Gabrielle raised an eyebrow, deciding to tease her a bit, "Really? Because I can honestly swear that I have never once saw you there...", she feigned a mildly offended expression, that for some odd reason, Amanda caught as fake. She rolled her eyes and playfully nudged at her arm, "Normally, my sister and I order take out. The bakery is always so full of people, that it's impossible to find a seat," she pointed out and Gabrielle couldn't deny that.
She nodded, "I wouldn't have forgotten a face like yours otherwise," those words fell from her mouth before she could actually switch on her brain. Since when was she so bold? She buried her face in her hands, grunting in embarrassment, "Sorry, sorry, sorry—", she half whispered. Amanda nibbled on her bottom lip, softened by Gabrielle's behavior. She lightly shook her head, before smiling genuinely. She reached out to touch Gabrielle's hands, considering she already missed those eyes, that unfairly the brunette had decided to cover up, "Hey, that was cute. Don't apologize," her voice was tender and velvety, filled with emotion and honesty. Gabrielle opened a crack with her fingertips, so that she could spy on Amanda's face.
All she could see was sweetness, comprehension and deep empathy. The blonde giggled again, "You're so precious," with that being said, Gabrielle felt like she was melting like snow in the sun. She lowered her hands, placing them on her lap. Then she looked up into Amanda's eyes, immediately feeling thousands of butterflies flying in her stomach, "Thanks," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Amanda's soft curls swayed a bit when she tilted her head to the side to better look at Gabrielle's features. She blinked so softly, in such a delicate manner, that the brunette found herself hypnotized. She continued, "You're very beautiful too," that sudden confession gave Gabrielle the courage to keep a firm gaze upon Amanda's eyes, without ever looking down, "Are you kidding me?", she chuckled nervously, "If there's a beautiful woman here, that's one hundred percent you. I've have never seen a face so ethereal and—", even though she knew to be blabbering without shame, she was enjoying Amanda's reaction.
She lifted her palm as to stop her to continue, but Gabrielle smirked in return, "Gabrielle—", she tried, but the brunette continued by mentioning the beauty of her voice, her eyes, her golden curly hair, and the way she poked her tongue out of her mouth every time she smiled. Amanda was speechless for a second, "Oh my God, have you really noticed all these things?", she asked both in disbelief and awe. Gabrielle shrugged, "What can I say? I'm a meticulous observer, "a grin tugged at her lips, while Amanda hummed amusedly. Once the controller announced the next stop was Notting Hill Gate, on both faces appeared a disappointed frown. "Dang it, time flew by," Gabrielle chuckled sadly, and Amanda nodded slowly, "Yeah, we didn't even notice," a tight smile appeared on her lips, her voice grew quiet too, less enthusiastic than before. She didn't want her to leave, but again, she couldn't keep her there to chat more. Perhaps, they could meet again. Gabrielle stood up slowly, and while doing so, her legs brushed against Amanda's, exactly how it had happened when the blonde firstly sat there, "Sorry," she knew there was nothing to apologize for, but she did it anyway, "It's okay."
Gabrielle felt she was back in the body of a clumsy teenager that could hardly say minimum two words with a beautiful woman like Amanda. She was twenty-eight years old, for the love of God. After a second of hesitation, Amanda stood up too, and in that exact same moment, both of them said in one voice, "Would you like to—", "How about we—", both laughed at the funny side of the situation. It was heartwarming that they thought of the same thing at the same time, "You go first," Gabrielle prompted her, with a light smile, "I'd like to meet you again, if you want to of course," Gabrielle started nodding without even letting Amanda finish her sentence. On the blonde's face, an expression of pure joy showed up, like a child that wakes up on Christmas day and finds a wealth of gifts under the tree. The train slowed down and Amanda offered to walk Gabrielle to the train's door.
"I work tomorrow morning, but I'm free after 4.00 PM. If you can, we could—", "Tomorrow afternoon is perfect," she took a quick look at Gabrielle's phone, partially coming out of her pocket. Without thinking too much of it, she blurred it out. The brunette knew in her heart not to worry, however, she raised an amused eyebrow at the other's boldness, "Sure, go ahead," she said, while Amanda giggled and typed her phone number on Gabrielle's phone, "Write me once you're back home, alright?", that simple request was able to melt the brunette's heart at once. No one had ever shown so much care in her regards, after such little time. It moved her. She nodded softly, "Consider it done." The train stopped, and people were now hopping off. Amanda noticed that and sighed, when the brunette said, "Seems like I have to go," she put her phone back in the pocket, swaying a foot out of the train's open doors. Amanda nodded in understanding, "It was nice meeting you, Gabs," she reached out to touch her hand, and their eyes bowed down to that delicate contact, for a second that felt like an eternity. It felt so right to be around one another.
The controller whistled one more time, announcing the train was about to take off and Amanda shook her head, muttering how annoying he was, but then urged Gabrielle to hop off. She whined childishly and Amanda chuckled, "I got it, man," she nimbly hopped off, "I'll see you soon," she promised while the doors were still open, and Amanda nodded happily. Then she tried something and she knelt royally before her, as form of goodbye. Amanda laughed softly before blowing a kiss towards Gabrielle, mimicking the same princely ways. The train's doors closed in that moment. She then placed her palms upon the windows and delicately waved her fingertips, "Bye," Gabrielle read her lips and she said the same thing. Once the train was too far away for Gabrielle to see Amanda, she spin around in pure joy and excitement. For once, missing the bus had not been bad at all. She had a lot to tell Moka that night.

Ok I have a really sad one but what about mattys been home for like a year after baby was born and you both agree that you're ready for the boys to go back on tour. You facetime every evening before baby goes to bed and usually they're playing with toys or sometimes matty reads them their bedtime story over facetime. Well this time baby decides to take their first steps on facetime and walk over to Matty and he is equally crying with joy/pride and sobbing because he's missing out on milestones and feels like the worst father ever
🌷🌷
Awwwww babyyyy 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
Matty has definite got into a somewhat silly habit of buying doubles of the children’s books that he gets his baby cuz he wants to have copies with him when he goes on tour. So that whenever he calls, he can let his baby choose whichever book they gotta read for bedtime. He sings a little lullaby after and everything.
And on days off in between shows, or in the tour bus, or their way between cities etc he like calls just randomly if he knows his wife is gonna be home and asks to be put on FaceTime and have the phone propped up somewhere in the living room so he can feel like he’s there with them. He just hangs out and watches his kid play and eat dinner and play with mommy.
So, one day, they’re both to put baby down for the night. But the kid is a bit too hyper to wanna go to bed. There are toys strewn on the floor everywhere, and they’ve gotten into this habit…you know when kids are first learning to walk, how they’ll first learn to use the edges of furniture to move around? Like they’ll hold on the edge of the coffee table and then the side of the couch or something to be stood up and sort of slinking around? Yeah, so it’s mainly that. Just baby trying to be brave and move around with the assistance of the furniture and whatever is available. For a while, both parents attention is on the child as they try to mentally and emotionally prepare for a difficult bedtime. They know there will be resistance. Maybe some tears. Matty keeps saying “two more minutes and then we really have to go to sleep. Mommy’s tired she deserves some quiet time.”
Then, the conversation kinda drifts to something Mundane. Like, Maybe Matty is talking to his wife about what him and Hann did that day or what sightseeing he wants to do once they get to their next city. But as they’re chatting, they both notice baby start to let go of the edge of the table and walk independently. They’re both trying to alert each other to what’s going on but they’re too excited to form full sentences so it’s just like “matty! Oh my god!!! Walking!! It’s happening!” And a bunch of squeaking from both of them. When baby makes it to the other end of the couch (just a few small steps later) they both clap and yell out “yaaaayyyy you did it babbyyyy” and start making up silly songs about their kids first steps and hype them up.
But as soon as they stop, and instead of complete silence, Matty’s sniffling fills the air. Mom is teary eyed too so at first she thinks it’s just happy tears. But then she looks at the screen and matty is full on crying. She makes a joke about how he’s the most emotional person she’s ever met but that’s okay because she finds his soft gentle side really attractive.
Matty eventually shakes his head and tries to wipe his tears with the back of his hand. “It’s not that…it’s just” and he pulls into the camera view a little onesie of the baby’s that he’d stolen to take on tour. He’s thinking about how by the time he gets back 6 months from now baby will have outgrown the onesie. “We’re gonna need to buy baby shoes now. And not those cute decorative ones. Real ones. For walking. A dad should fuckin be there for his child’s first shoes!” It dawns on him that this is his fate now. Baby’s first steps, first shoes, first words, soon it’s gonna be first day of school, and recitals, and birthdays, and what’s next? Graduations too? “Fuck, I’m not saying I don’t love my job. I’ve very very fortunate to still be doing this decades later. But….i just don’t think it’s fair. Parents shouldn’t have to work. Like ever.”
She tried to comfort him and tell him that she works too and she feels bad that her kid has to spend any amount of time without her during the day. That sometimes she sits at work, checking the time, knowing that usually when nap time is over, and that her child is going to wake up to someone who isn’t her makes her sad. “But it’s good for kids to see their parents work! We’re setting a good example. Ambition and drive are important! Besides, you’re here! You saw this and just cuz it’s over a phone screen, doesn’t mean it’s any less memorable. Do you really think that you’re going to forget the day that you saw your little baby take their first steps????”
“Well, I won’t now. Cuz it’s also always going to be the day I wept like my little baby over the phone a thousand miles away from you.”
“Tell you what? We can buy the new shoes together. You go to the store and pick them out. Mail them.”
“It’s not the same thing as-“
“Fine, fine. We’ll stay a few extra days the next time we fly in? Maybe we can take a trip? Every shoe store in town. We’ll test them out and everything.”
“Oh yes, yes! Do you think they still make squeaky ones?”
“Those cause headaches, Matty.”
“Or the laser ones. You know the ones that light up? Oh I used to love these on Louis. Just a little kid wobbling about shooting laser beams from their feet.”
“As long as they don’t make any disruptive noises-“
“Adidas trainers. The most comfortable. Hey, let’s all get matching ones. All three of us. It’d be cute!”

Oblivious - Chapter 1: Home from Tour
“Chrissy!” I exclaimed. I ran at my best friend from High School and launched into his arms. I had gone to the warehouse to greet him after they got off their 6 month tour seeing as we had a tradition to go out for dinner the moment he got back every time. He held me tightly as he spun me around with a grin on his face. “I missed you Oreo.” I giggled as he groaned.
“You will never let that go will you bug?” He muttered playfully, setting me on my feet again.
“Nope!” I skipped onto the bus where the rest of the boys were packing up their stuff and waved hi to them as I weaved to the back where my favorite guitarist was. “Ricky!”
“Hey Casey!” He grinned, dropping his sweatshirt and pulling me into his arms. “I missed you.” He murmured.
“I missed you too. I’m sorry I couldn’t make it out for a stop on this tour. Work has had me busy as hell.” He let go of me and picked his sweatshirt back up, handing it to me. I shrugged it on and wrapped my arms around myself, enjoying the feel of its warmth and the lingering smell of Ricky’s cologne clinging to the fabric. Once he was done packing he placed his arm around my shoulder and we exited the bus again to see the crew off-loading the equipment.
“Hey, Love bug, I’ll only be a few more minutes and then we can go. Ok?” Chris called. He was currently helping pack away some of the merch boxes to go through later.
“Ok! I’ll just put your bags in your car.” I picked up his bag and Rick and I went back out to the car park. He and I loaded up their vehicles, chatting about random things as we waited for the singer.
“Hey Rick, why don’t you join us?” Chris offered every single time, but Ricky always turned us down, not wanting to intrude but also wanting to get home to his girlfriend. Unfortunately, they broke up right before this last tour so I was hoping he would agree this time.
“I really don’t want to intrud-“ Chris shook his head and wrapped an arm around his shoulder.
“No, you aren’t getting out of it this time. Come on.” He ordered, shoving the guitarist towards his car.
“Fine, fine. But I’ll take my own car thank you.” Rick grinned.
“Sweet! We’re going to Panera. We’ll meet you there.” I told him, leaning over to kiss his cheek before turning back to Chris. I saw Chris smirking but he wasn’t looking at me so I turned back to see Rick facing away from me now and walking off with his head ducked. “What was that about?”
“Nothing.” He shrugged, taking my hand and walking over to his car. He opened the door for me and helped me in before walking around to his side of the car and getting in the driver’s seat. It was a five-minute drive to the restaurant and when we went inside Rick had already grabbed a booth at the back. We joined him, both of us sitting on the other side before deciding what we wanted.
“I’ll go up and order.” Rick said, writing down what we decided and walking off.
“Hey, so I was thinking we could get away for a while, go to Florida and visit Disney in two weeks. Think you could get the time off?” He asked.
“I definitely will. I haven’t been in forever.” I exclaimed. He and I made a point to go whenever we could but unfortunately we hadn’t been able to get the time off together for several years.
“I can’t wait. I’ll book the tickets and hotel tonight.” He told me as Ricky made his way back over to us.
“It will be ready in a few minutes.” He informed us.
“Thank you. So you have to tell me everything about tour! I wish I could have joined you guys.” I whined.
“Next time you can join us for the whole tour.” Chris promised me.
“I can’t take 6 months off at a time.” I protested.
“You cant take any time off according to your company. I personally think you should quit.” Ricky muttered. While he was right, my job was demanding, and I hated it but I didn’t think quitting was the best option for me.
“I don’t trust her boss. He’s a dick.” Chris grumbled.
“He’s not that bad.” The waitress came over at that moment with our food and we thanked them quietly before returning to our conversation.
“He’s a fucking sexist asshole! He’s always eyeing you up when you are around him like you are a piece of meat.” My best friend complained.
“I know, I know. But I’m fine. I swear. I wanna talk about tour not my stupid job.”
“Sorry. Back on the tour, I promise.” We talked about the tour and Ricky’s shenanigans. Chris even showed me a video of Rick playing irl fruit ninja and I laughed.
“That isn’t how you hold a sword idiot!” I exclaimed.
“I know that! My entire discord ripped me a new one over it.” He huffed.
“Awe, so sad. There is something the great Olson isn’t good at.” I teased him as I took a bite of my sandwich. We were about to chat about something else when Chris’ phone rang. He took a glance at it before kissing my cheek and standing up to go outside and take it. “Do you think everything is ok?”
“I’m sure it is. He doesn’t look like anything is wrong.” Rick pointed out as we watched the singer through the window. Chris nodded and glanced over to see us staring and waved with a dorky grin. We waved back and a few moments later he was headed back inside.
“Hey love bug? I hate to cut our dinner short but I have to go help my parents with something that needs to be done tonight. Do you mind catching a ride with Rick?” He asked.
“Nom not at all.” He leaned down and pressed a kiss to the corner of my mouth before leaving and I turned back to the guitarist. “That was weird right?”
“I’m sure its nothing. You know how much he loves his family.” We packed up the rest of our food and walked back to where Ricks car was. He opened the door for me and then walked around to the driver’s side. “Just back to your apartment?”
“Sure. I don’t mind. Do you want to hang out for a bit? I’ve missed you Rick.” I murmured. He glanced over to me with a soft smile and took my hand in his, resting them on my lap.
“I’ve missed you too.” We pulled up to my place a few minutes later and got out to go inside. He took my hand as we walked up to the door and only let go when I needed to unlock it but kept his hands on my waist. Once inside I went to go to the kitchen to get drinks while Rick went into the living room and started flicking through Netflix to find a movie. I brought two Gatorade bottles into the room and set them on the coffee table.
“I’m so glad you had fun on tour.” I said as I made myself comfortable in the corner of the couch. He settled on some post-apocalyptic movie and sat next to me on the couch. “You and your apocalypse movies.” I shook my head.
“Do you have a problem with it?” He teased playfully, moving into my space and grabbing my sides. His fingers twitched and I immediately jerked.
“Rick, don’t.” I stuttered.
“Then answer my question.” His fingers moved again and I let out a squeak, jumping in his arms.
“No! No, I don’t.” I exclaimed. He was hovered over me now and was staring down at me.
“Good.” He grinned, loosening his grip, but not moving off of me. “Casey?”
“Yeah?”
“Can I kiss you?” My jaw dropped but I nodded. I moved my arms up and laced my fingers behind his neck, pulling him down until our bodies were pressed together and our mouths danced in harmony. His lips were soft and gentle as they sucked mine in between his, working his tongue past my lips to brush against mine. The movie was forgotten as his grip on my sides tightened once more. “Woah.” He huffed as he pulled back a little. His pupils were almost fully dilated, the grey ring barely visible around the black void. Once his breathing had leveled he leaned down and gave me one more kiss. “Can I take you on a date?”
“O-ok.” I nodded. I had wanted that for so long so finally getting the chance made my heart want to explode out of my chest. The beaming smile that I got from him made it so worth it too. He rolled us around so we were cuddled on the couch and we focused back on the movie that was rolling in the background.

Of course, it wasn’t long before the press got wind of this harrowing and utterly bizarre tale of UFOs, robots, vanishing “guns” and gargantuan alien invaders.
