I just binge watched all 9 volumes of RWBY and I've found my newest obsession.

#and my newest ship #rwby #Yang is my favorite #why did it take me so long to watch this show? i remember it being all over my dash at some point #i was like 'who's the blonde and cat girl'? #which yes can refer to more than one show #and i love both ships #i want to hug all 4 members of team rwby #especially after v9 with all the emotional stuff that went on #haven't checked to see people's thoughts but im impressed they took an entire season to explore everyone's emotional state #to allow the characters to reflect on their choices and what's happened and what they should do next #or more who they want to be going forward #i was thinking i wanted stuff like this once they got to atlas and everything got even more intense #but i had no idea how they'd work character driven stories like that into an action packed season #love that they decided to put the plot on hold and allow the characters' stories to take center stage #the way this show could make me scream and cry and laugh every season #it's going in the vault

I totally forgot to post anything here, but I've been working on some more Bucktommy stories. Actually made it a collection on ao3. They all take place in the same continuity and are sorted chronologically, but each story can be read independently.

I had already posted the link to "But in this life I met you", it's about Tommy who, some months into his relationship with Buck, starts questioning his and and Eddie's respective places in Buck's life (3.6k, Bucktommy endgame).

"Tommy meets Evan" is a very short story about the first couple of times Tommy runs into Buck from Tommy's pov (1.3k).

Right now I'm working on "Love and Lack thereof" which is basically a "Tommy begins" type of story. Covers his childhood, his time in the army, his coming back to LA and finding a place for himself. (2/4 chapters are online, will have about 8-10k once it's finished)

I was also working on a story where Tommy and Karen bond and have a conversation about kids, but I got sidetracked and am working on that other fic right now.

Also possibly gonna do a "Tommy realises he's in capital L Love with Evan, but it's way to early and he promised to take it slow, what is he supposed to do?" story. (Would also feature Henren.)

Overlord let the impulsive thoughts win. It's bad enough competing for Megatron's attention with other 'cons, but somehow, someway... a backwoods nobody has everyone wagging their mouths, even High Command is wondering over Tarn's mystery Conjunx.

The leader of the Justice Divison is stone-cold with anyone's questions, so Overlord decided to get creative with the base's medbay to find out about you.

He expected others to come, but you come alone. And Overlord can't help himself because it's absolutely foolish that no one had warned you about anything, especially if you're asking questions about the Ununtrium injection.

You don't scream or weep, nor is there any fear in your face with the realization that you're trapped as he twists your arm and the medberth fails to heed your commands.

It's not defiance or grim acceptance in those optics. Overlord doesn't see resignation. No. You knew this would happen. You're not quite a lamb to slaughter with that hard coldness, but there's nothing to be done. He does, however, commends your pain tolerance as you give nothing but a sharp inhale as your mediocre protection is torn away.

You spit something, and nothing touches him, but he can't let that go-

His vision tilts sideways, pixelating away as his HUD is overwhelmed by an avalanche of foreign commands and security breaches. He crashes down without a word, and the last thing Overlord sees is you standing above.

Unsurprised.

(Eventually, consciousness will hit Overlord with the force of a Titan's fist. He's fiendishly sore and feels like he drank a drum of Death by Fusion: Nightmare fuel equally mixed with Gladiator's Bane. He also has that persistent itch in his plating gone, systems running far faster, and transformation sequences are fluid and smooth.)

If I had a nickel for every time a show I was watching featured a mother who was trying to better herself for the sake of her child, who she was reconnecting with after abandoning them with their father due to her own declining mental health and caregiver burnout, but rather than exploring these complex feelings toward motherhood, the show kills her off for shock value and to further develop the father(s)… I’d have two nickels.

Which isn’t a lot, but it’s disappointing it happened twice.
