A/n: woooooo we're finally here!! can you belive it???? this chapter may feel like an ending in a sense because it is an end of all the mafia parts. truly- after this chapter we won't see any more violence or blood or anything close to the last 6. it's all happy endings from here <3 Thank you for sticking with it!

Sneek Peek:

Yoongi waits for everyone to buckle their seat belt but you don’t, frozen watching him in the window, the rearview mirror when he gets into the front seat. Yoongi doesn’t even get around to starting the car, sliding the key home but the beep goes once, twice, and then a third time because you don't have your seatbelt buckled. The others wait in silence. 

“Yoongi-“

“Fuck!” The curse is loud and perfunctory. He kicks open his door again with a stream of spat explicative. Slamming it shut this time. The others don't say anything, completely silent in the face of his anger.

Yoongi doesn't get angry. You've never seen him like this before. 

He wrenches your door open and for a horrible moment, you think he's going to yank you out of it and tell you to get lost. 

Yoongi's murmuring things to himself, so low that you almost can't make out what he's saying as he pushes himself into the back seat. The backseat of the Lambo isn’t that large. Hardly big enough to fit two people let alone four. Jungkook lets out a belated “Hey!” but Hoseok just reaches around him and unlocks the door for him to get out. Jimin is already out of the passenger seat and heading in the direction of the driver's side as Yoongi scrambles with your seat belt, jerking it over your shoulder and slamming it home.

"-Fucking asshole- of all the stupid omegas in the world I had to be mated to the fucking- dumbest- little- fucking-" The belt digs into your shoulder extra tight and Jimin starts the car wordlessly. 

You're closed in on both sides by him and Hobi on the other. 

They switch and shuffle. Jimin pulls away from the train station, gentler this time but still faster and with more finesse than you'd do it. Yoongi is still looking at you, glaring, tears in his eyes with wet cheeks, his voice low and uncompromising. 

“Give me your phone.” 

“My what?”

“Your. Phone. You used it to call her didn’t you?” You nod after a second, slowly pulling it from your sweatshirt pocket and handing it over. 

Yoongi takes your phone and breaks it over his thigh.

It’s a bit impressive really- the show of strength. He brings it down once and the screen breaks, winking out like a shooting star. Another and it bends just a little, a third time- and it’s practically at a right angle. It breaks so easily in the face of adrenaline and anger and fear. 

You make a small noise, not a whimper but a descending sound. Yoongi raises his eyebrows at you, wild. Like he’ll break even further if you complain. Hoseok’s not sure he’s ever seen Yoongi this broken. Never.

"Just- There were pictures of Noodle and Tae on there.”

Fear and anger are an intoxicating mix to anyone- let alone someone who almost lost their person. He goes at your phone until its jagged edge bites into his hand drawing blood. Then he tosses both pieces of your phone onto the floor of the car like they're paperweights. 

One of the pieces hits your shoe with a small metal clink, and even hobi looks down in surprise at the sound. 

Yoongi laughs and then bends over. yanking the gun out of your boot. Small, shoved there. Hoseok didn’t notice. He's not sure why it surprises him- that you'd be armed. You're not an idiot, you know the risks, and you were armed the last time that you tried to run away.  

He holds it out to you, long fingers wrapped around the barrel pointed at his chest. The handle facing you, the barrel of the gun level with his heart.

“You want to do the honors sweetheart?”

what really gets me is i’ve expressed how lonely i am to the ppl i care about and they reassure me that we can hang out if i ask and then i ask and they don’t wanna hang out

#I don’t even do it during the day or during the week when ppl are busy #i ask for like. an evening or sometime during the weekend #and usually If we even hang out it’s only for an hour or two and it feels like it was a chore for them #idk how much of that is my own insecurity bc i have also expressed that spending so much time alone has made me insecure #or if i just suck to be around #like. i can’t just go out and make friends like my other friends can #and that’s why they’re so busy in their free time #i try but i get so uncomfortable with new people. i really try to make an effort and be palatable but i dont know that i am #i’m not myself when i’m around new ppl bc i’m worried me being myself is what’s making my friends not wanna be around me #and it’s Exhausting trying to figure out what’s okay and not okay in new social groups #the effort just drains me and belive it or not! it defeats the purpose of trying not to be lonely #and christ do i feel really fucking lonely and unlikable! #i like actually haven’t even seen another person this whole day and my roommate has been here the whole time #vent

he once again mentioned that yeah, he belives game theory plagiarized it, but he also mentioned that your theory included the point that was based on a rendering issue (and GT "made the same mistake") and idk if he mentioned it before but now I'm wondering what that part is 🤔

Yeah I did see it, and…

I still, I still have very mixed feelings about it. I don’t wanna get dragged into, yknow, um… A sorta calling people out or anything like that, but the explanation, that we were given about that had never been satisfactory for me. 

I-I really think that that was plagiarized. Um- The biggest reason I think it was is because… Apart from the theory being SO on point with this fan theory, like beat for beat, the fan theory, the original one, has a detail in it, which is a complete and utter misunderstanding of something that was just a rendering issue? There was a rendering issue in the video that this fan extrapolated into meaning something. And then, so did the Game Theorists, um… fan theory or whatever you wanna call it, right? They made the same extrapolation on a rendering error, to me it was just… too uncanny, and… supposedly, no, the writers never did that, uh, y’know I’m not here to say they did or they didn’t, it’s of course entirely possible and you can never know, it’s just it never satisfied me, it never felt right. 

So um, yeah, I-I still feel not too great about that. Like it was nice to have my story in a big video, that- that felt really cool, but the way in which it happened, not cool I don’t think. It just, uh, I don’t buy it.

34:35: “X doesn’t buy his own lore, that’s so damn cool” says memcbest- I don’t know what you mean by that, I’m not saying I don’t buy my own lore I’m saying- I think- I think it was plagiarism. I really do. Like I said, an uncanny amount of similarities, like beat for beat with this fan theory, and then even misinterpreting a rendering error the same way, it just- it didn’t feel right AT all. It really felt like this had been ripped off. 

…So yeah, so therefore, I feel bittersweet about it. Like it’s cool that there’s a video out there on Evil X, but it… it should’ve been made by someone else, y’know. Or with the original theorist’s consent. That’s how I feel about it. 

Later on he goes on about other channels not citing their sources and furthering the same misunderstanding/false info because they’re just plagiarizing from each other, but it’s not directly related so I won’t transcribe it. He says plagiarism is an interesting topic to think about. He also talks about how AI will make it worse, and about having seen the hbomberguy video ^^

I THINK. THE RENDERING ERROR HE'S TALKING ABOUT IS the point of EX's eyes reflecting as Jeff's i put at the end of my first post:

THIS MEANS A LOT TO MEEE THIS REALLY DOES MEAN A LOT. the stance xisumas given before this to my knowledge is "it looks suspicious but we cant know unless they say something" so to hear. someone who absolutely has all the facts, is unbiased towards either of us, say firmly game theory's statement doesn't hold up and it's Obvious it's copied from mine. Like i mean in a response to trauma or manipulation, becouse i fell it isn't explore enough in this situation -

Sure, your loved that you belived was a friend trapped /kidnapped/gaslight you is heartbreaking and of course you are gonna be sad and more incline to behave butttt-

There is always the other way of absolute rage that comes in once you realized you have been trapped/kidnapped /gaslight ecc- like i don't care anymore, i wanna throw hands, those people are death to me.(even thought this isn't the smarter choice considering the strenght of some of the people here) like them breaking Y/N down so they can comfort them to manipulate them, but then unsurprisingly the get the biggest smack/punch of their life . Just- wow the audacity.

I once said in my yandere alphabet that: “Red Son doesn’t want to waste his time doing something like caning or whipping you”. And though I think that viewpoint is usually true…

This changes that. It’s maybe the only situation where he would actively engage in any form of normalized torture “corporal punishment”.

Being physically attacked switches Red from ‘mildly reasonable, if a bit hair-trigger’ to ‘vicious and cruel’. Through brute force alone does he wrestle you into submission, binding your arms behind your back with a pair of metal cuffs.

He tosses you onto the nearest bed and couch before burning the lower half of your clothing off. Sith! Obi-Wan: Is it even possible?

Sith! Obi-Wan is such a fascinating concept to me, because it’s so unlikely. Like frankly it feels even less likely than Anakin’s redemption, and that redemption being so incredibly unlikely but still possible is literally the thing that makes the OT so powerful. Like it’s baked into the premise.

And Obi-Wan falling can’t be impossible, because that would take all the narrative power out of him always choosing good. But like, this man has literally had everything happen to him, and he doesn’t turn. He has moments where he has to recenter himself, but he always does it. He’s such a wonderful balance of “constantly looks like hot shit” with “but on the deepest level of his soul he’s untouchable.”

It should be impossible.

But I believe it at every turn.

People aren’t fucking around when they describe him as one of the best Jedi there ever was.

So I am fascinated by the idea of a Sith Obi-Wan, because what could possibly turn him?

Not torture, not loss, not grief, not losing his padawan, not having to fight his padawan, not beliving he’d killed his padawan, not finding out he didn’t kill his padawan, not watching over that padawan’s kid for twenty years, not death, not war, not walking away from Satine, not Satine dying in his arms, not losing Qui-Gon Jinn, not Dooku’s best efforts at temptation, not the genocide of his people, not being set on fire, not the existence of the Death Star, not twenty years of being a hermit, not Melida-Daan, not whatever Xanatos was doing, not every atrocity the Empire ever committed,

But it can’t be impossible, because he’s still a human, he’s not the Force itself.

I’ve read some Sith Obi-Wan fics, but they’re all either unconvincing on this point, or have to resort to saying, “Obi-Wan is a Sith but he’s not evil,” as though that isn’t the contradiction of all time (No shade to these fics, not everything needs to be perfectly convincing, and I’m not against writing a character in a certain way just cause of the aesthetic. I know how to use the back button; I kept reading cause I enjoyed them overall).

I just.

I don’t know. Do people have ideas? Theories? Fic recommendations?

Cause my only idea is an Obi-Wan who has literally never heard of the Jedi and was raised from an infant as a Sith and barely resembles the Obi-Wan we know at all.

Saturday– It’s been four days since I last saw the reason I bought this journal. Xander’s been demanding to know what happened on Wednesday, and though I really want to tell him, I want to keep that moment to myself. A secret between me and a certain Hawthorne. “Not on purpose.” He whispers back, getting up from his chair. The desk is littered with papers and he looked half-buried in them.

“It seemed like that when you just walked by me like I was nothing.”

“You could never be nothing, Not to me.” He says, and he walks towards you before his back straightens and he looks away.

Until then, until he looked away, you’d believed you could have actually been something to him.

Now?

You feel as though someone is going to take a hammer to your heart.

“How dare you say I could never be nothing and then look away? How dare you play with my heart?” You say. You’re fuming, you can’t believe that you were falling for a man like him.

Until you see him quiver. His eyes are mad and his whole body is shaking, like he wants to say something but the words just won’t come out.

He walks to you, your chests almost touching.

His hands are quivering when they’re on your arms, touching you with a featherlight touch, as though he can’t quite believe you’re real.

“Why can’t I think straight when you’re with me?” And then he says your name, and you’re falling.

I think at the wedding itself, Nezha is emotionally cold towards you. They don't like you or the situation they are in.

Though you two live in their Lotus palace, you two barely spend time together at the beginging of the marriage. At most you two would have dinner together and go to events together.

At the start, it's a loveless marriage.

The more you two have to spend your time together though, the more it turns into a friendship.

Love only start blooming when someone frames you for something.

This someone uses your brat like behavour agnist you. Which of course upset and angers you.

You and everyone else believes Nezha isn't going to side with you, considering they didn't want this marriage.

Instead, Nezha stands by you and yells at the person for dear lying about their partner. They will demand evidence, and when none can be provided, tell the person they are extremely lucky Jade Emperor isn't here or he'd have requested for this person's head.

Nezha walks you back to their palace, acting as if nothing has happened.

I think Nezha would've formed feelings for you by this point, but didn't want to overstep or make you feel comfortable.

So you will have to be the one to make it known you want the relationship to become romantic.

It starts with you two moving into the same bedroom together and going on dates.

What would end up being the actions that cemented you two being a romantic couple would be you two training/fighting together.

Once you two are romanticlly together, everyone does see a shift.

Nezha very much allowed you to be a brat, even encourgages it, defends it, and even mirrors it.

If you say someone along the lines of "These followers are barely up to standard", Nezha would pick up the vase and tip it upside down.

Aka, your bratiness rubs off on Nezha.

Expect gifts, a lot of them.

Though Nezha isn't the type to do PDA, when they do kiss you it has a lot of meaning and passion behind it.

Likes having matching outfits.

I honestly don't belive Nezha would be expecting kids, but kids are produced during the marriage, Nezha will be more of the sort of parent that has high expections for the children. Will help those children to that point, but still has high expections.

molly, when you write kate and edwina`s relationship in your fics that is always so sweet and caring it like more based in the books right??? becasue they did such a mess in the show with kate lying to edwina and with edwina not paying attention to kate. In fact, do you belive that edwina should have listened to kate when she command her to not let anthony court her??? that feel bad honestly, kate was like being bossy with edwina.

Okay, I’m going to run through this one more time really quickly because I have like 12 hours of videos on season 2 that you can watch that details all of my opinions on these things but the dynamics at play here are a lot more complicated than we’d like.

It’s below the cut. This post is not tagged for a reason.

First off, I had my characterisation of Mary and Edwina set long before the show came out. Basically: I’m the one writing it so I’m gonna do whatever I want tbh. There are plenty of other people who write the dynamics differently.

Before we discuss Kate lying to Edwina let’s discuss the events of the show up to the point where it would have been best if she had told Edwina.

Kate Sharna meets a handsome man in the woods. He was cute, and charming, and sure they flirted a little and Kate liked Anthony a little. We see this because-

She sees Anthony again at Lady Danbury’s ball and she confirms that she thinks he’s handsome (Mary’s look to Kate in this moment is so sweet, don’t even get me started). She then seeks out Anthony’s company again after she sees him dancing (poorly) and sees him talking about how he’s not interested in getting to know the woman he’s marrying. Worse, he talks about them as though they’re all the same, interchangeable and only really good for one thing: Having children so you can fulfil an obligation and move on with your life. Anthony immediately tries to flirt with her again and Kate feels honestly stupid. She came to London thinking she was prepared for the task ahead and at the first hurdle she’s found out that she wasn’t. She feels awkward and uncomfortable and upset and she needs to regroup.

Anthony has now set his sights on Edwina. There’s no interaction here.

Anthony makes an idiot out of her by essentially organising someone to spend time with her. It’s insulting and disrespectful. Edwina then has her moment of teenage rebellion

They go to Aubrey Hall and this is where the shift starts to happen. They play Pall Mall and they have a moment of shared sameness where Kate starts to realise that maybe the version of him she saw at first is the real Anthony. They then have that moment with the bee but this is only the beginning of Kate recognising what she;s actually feeling for Anthony. She’s still not very sure.

They have their moment in the library they go hunting, they actually spend time together, learn about each other and they dance together and this is when Kate begins to be sure that she;s having actual feelings for Anthony. Here. Following the fact that Edwina already wants him to propose. So she’s already in a difficult position. This was the perfect time to tell Edwina and get I think some blowback but it would have been minimal.

Anthony has already proposed out of his own fear.

The window was minimal because of the fact that Anthony acted out of his own fear for what he felt. He was so sure that if he just proposed to Edwina all of this would stop. It was more than expected of him at this stage. To the outside world, Mary is right, he has shown her every attention in the world. He took her and her family to his home privately, if he had withdrawn even then there would have been questions about what was wrong with her. Bare in mind, that Kate has no confirmation from Anthony that he has feelings past lust for her so even if she told Edwina she was in love with Anthony: What could come of it? She feels it would be selfish to ruin it for Edwina, to ruin it for Anthony because if what she feels.

This is further complicated by the fact that Kate is used to sacrificing what she wants for what Edwina needs. This started because it was made clear to Kate when Edwina was about 10 that she needed to marry nobility for them to have any hope. Kate couldn’t marry because she herself would have then been expected to look after her husband’s family and there was no guarantee that they would allow her to have the same amount of contact with Mary and Edwina so I think this just seemed best at this point. Because Kate, in a way, feels that she owes Mary the life she gave up in Marrying her father. In choosing Kate and her father Mary gave up her life in England and Kate wants to give it back. This is misguided because Mary doesn’t actually want it back but alas, Kate hasn’t asked. So Kate’s entire life focuses on Edwina’s education now. Mary is obviously deeply depressed and I think when they were in India was probably less distant with the girls than we see. Being in England has likely brought up a lot of shit with her husband and family and the ton in general so I think we’re seeing Mary struggling more than she has for a while. Somewhere along the line Kate has likely stopped only doing what Edwina needs and has started giving Edwina what she wants. Frankly, we need to stop viewing their relationship as sisters and start seeing it as an unequally mother daughter relationship. Edwina is also, very used to getting what she wants, and she’s 18. So I think when she learns that there’s more going on with Kate and Anthony and even with Mary to a certain degree: She’s surprised because she is used to being at the centre of their family unit. So that shatters as well. Do I think this was managed perfectly in the show? No, I have my own ideas about how to fix that but Netflix isn’t paying me so I’m not gonna hand them out.

So we’re now in a situation where really: Everyone feels betrayed

Edwina feels betrayed by Kate.

Kate feels betrayed by Anthony but more importantly she feels betrayed by herself. Because she should have put aside her own needs she shouldn’t have been there in the way.

And Mary feels betrayed by herself as well. And here’s where most people get this wrong (in my opinion) Mary does not feel betrayed by Kate. Mary feels guilty. Because the second she saw Anthony kneel in front of Kate she realises exactly how much she has let slide. Exactly how much Kate took on herself. Because I think until that point she genuinely thought she still had the kind of relationship with Kate where Kate would have told her this. Kate was telling her the truth. Kate is her daughter, who she has never known hide sections of herself away. Why would she now? Thus isn’t even to mention the fact that Anthony gets a lot of praise for defending Kate to the Sheffields but Mary did it first. Mary stood up to her parents and said: That is my child, take it or leave it.

So no. I don’t think Kate was bossy with Edwina. She was very hurt at what she’d done and she was trying to make Edwina see that Anthony wasn’t going to love her. Which she was right about. Edwina probably should have listened. Would have saved everyone a lot of time but I also think she was a young girl who got swept up in the romance of being in a Different place and being so sought after. I’m not saying she’s vain, I’m not saying she’s frivolous, there are plenty of signs that she too was under a lot of pressure. But she got swept up in the moment. It’s easy to do.

so, I was in London yesterday just exploring around (By the way the book stores are SOOO PRETTY, I don’t live in London I’m American, but people say that my British accent is good XD)

and by just pure curiosity, I glanced at the persons phone (Just cause she has her brightest all the way up) and she was stalking your YouTube page, and I was like

“ARE YOU A CRUMPET?” and she said she was! and than asked me if I was a crumpet too, which I of course said I was!

and we started talking for like A VERY LONG TIME. and telling each other about our own theory’s about your characters and such!

It’s so great that I got to meet a crumpet in IRL!

The Burden of the Sun

Blurb: Macaque confronts Wukong on his mis communications and Wukong finally snaps

The cool darkness around him was no new feeling. It was a comfort at a time, back when he felt the warmth it could have at the end of it. A warmth only he knew. His own special light, one created from the shadows he made.

Now the warmth was gone, in its’ place only the shadows that grew and grew over the years. The shapes he left behind centuries ago. Ones that turned from blankets of familiarity to chains of memories, of guilt. That he regrets to admit is still the most comforting feeling, even now as he falls through this darkness.

He landed on his side, hissing as the pebbles one the ground dug into his skin.

“OH, don’t give me that shit. Up.” Macaque snarled. Wukong rolled over, sitting up. Macaque scoffed, squat down and grabbed Wukong collar.

“Well?” He prompted. Wukong noted how his breath smelled like mint, unlike the regular mango smell.

“”Well what?”

Macaque sneered, dragging Wukong up by his collar.

“I’M TRIED OF THIS SHITTY ‘I don’t know’ ACT YOU PULL!” Macaque tossed the Money King back down on the ground.

“I’VE BEEN DOING THE GOOD BOY THING FOR MONTHS NOW, I HELPED YOU WITH AZURE LION, I SAVED YOUR ASS FROM THE SCROLL. AND ALL I GET IS THE COLD SHOULDER????” Macaque exclaimed. He picked Wukong back up from the ground, pulling him closer to his face.

“I didnt lie about Lady Bone Demon.”

“I didn’t hide that dragon girl was the vessel of the fourth ring.”

“I didn’t run off to fight that bitch myself and get corrupted.”

I didn’t abandon everything I knew just in some misguided belief that would fix everything!”

“You did! All you do is lie and cross others. And you don’t even care.” Macaque scoffed, shaking his head.

“Even now you lie. I can see your glamor.”

Wukong bristled at that comment, but said nothing. Macaque huffed, and shook Sun Wukong collar.

“Well? Are you still putting up that act? Be the coward that you tired to change from?” Macaque prodded, his face contouring in disdain. Wukong s eyes trailed down to witness the state of his former companion, white patched and scars marring his body.

Wukong exhaled through his nose.

“Did you realize that the reason Lady Bone Demon was back because you couldn’t finish the job last time?” He asked.

“What?” Macaque snarled.

Wukong raised his hand, placing over his shadows hand.

“Did you think that others wouldn’t belive you and trust you if you said that they were going to be ok after such a overwhelming power enters them? Or would you stay quiet as you plan to make sure they wouldn’t have to go through that.”

The grip was too strong.

“Did you consider that everyone is depending on you, so you had to be the one to finish the job and clean up the mess you made?”

Why is the pain back, im not doing anything, I didnt do anything.

“Did you ever think that people were better off without you in their life until you better yourself?”

Please I’m sorry I’m sorry-

“And did you stop to consider if I told the truth, people would crosss me? Make life harder for themselves? Because I did, I cared so damn MUCH I grew to become an idol for others, make others look up to me when all I wanted was to shrink away.” Wukong broke the grip macaque had one him, pinching his forehead.

I wont do it again I wont do it again please let me go.

“I HAD TO DO EVERYTHING! ALL THE FIGHTING, ALL THE PLANNING, EVERYTHING TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE WAS SAFE!” He yelled, felling his head get tighter and tighter.

“Wukong…” The silent mumble from Macque lips snapped Wukong back to the cliff he was on, back to the grass instead of the rocky paths of the mountains.

“Your eyes.. Your head…” Macque observed. Wukong froze, raising his hand up. His callouses were visible.

I’m sorry I’m sorry

“Wukong look at me. Can you please look at me?” He pleaded, Wukong cracked his eye open, seeing Macaque holding his face gently. Wukong opened both of his eyes.

“I had to do everything. I was their powerhouse, the Great Monkey King. And what did I get whenever I tried to plea with them? Try and warn them of incoming dangers? When I tried to be a good monk and avoid disaster? A lecture and a torturous headache, that’s what.”

“I was nothing more than a guard dog with a short leash.”

Macaque’s gaze softened. He traced his fingers over the scar left behind by the circlet, trailing down to the blood red eyes of the Monkey King, Great Sage Equal to Heaven.

“I tried so hard to be a hero when all they saw was an a animal needing taming.” Wukong whispered.

“And now, I’m a king with no greatness being thrown around someone who truly cared for me.” Wukong pushed Macque away, walking toward the edge of the cliff.

“Thank you for the memories, and the companionship. Truly.” He took tha last step.

Macaque rushed over to the edge of the cliff and witnessed as Wukong flew away on his nimbus cloud. Macaque growled, falling to his knees and pounding the ground beneath him with his fists.

The blood came soon after, trclaiking down his clawed fingers. The white patched fur stained pink as his invisible barrier fell. His multi colored ears pointed downwards, his scarred eye producing tears.

On the cloud, Wukong let tears fall, bringing his glamour come back up as he flew toward the horizon. Towards the setting sun. Toward his bungalow hidden by forest, where all his monkey friends were. Where his cold lights were on. Away from the might warrior that was still mighty while he turned tail like the coward he was called.

The hero’s light turning dimmer and dimmer, with the warrior still in his shaodws.

Max, the father, had a facial expression filled with desire for control as he pointed a gun at his son.

However, to his son, Liam, that ugly expression looked painful.

Liam: OK. I’ll do everything as you wish.

The man standing in front of Liam wanted him to jump off on his own.

Liam: However—

Liam: I have one favour to ask of you.

Max: Anything except begging for your life.

Liam: … Haha, I know.

Liam: I want my dead body to disappear without a trace. Decapitate me or toss me into the ocean, I don't care how you do it.

The starry sky reflected in his rose coloured eyes.

The stars were shining brightly that night, like the ones he saw with Kate.

Liam: … Can I say a few things? Take it as I’m saying my last words.

Liam: My life is worthless. I’ve always thought that I’d be better off dead, just like you said.

Liam: Just by being alive, I had countless wrongdoings that hurt people. Therefore, it was best if I disappeared as soon as possible.

Liam: However, when Jacob saved my life…

Liam: His last words, “please live”, held me back.

Liam: That’s why I’ve been living my life so miserably and searching for a good reason to die.

Liam: … Weird, right? People die without warning, and yet here I am living this way because I want to die.

Liam: Therefore, I decided that for as long as I was alive, I wanted to be the kind of person everyone wanted me to be…

Liam: I tried so hard not to be hated, not to hurt others, and not to ruin anything. I looked like a complete fool…

Liam: Because of that… I don’t hate the idea of dying.

Liam: I can finally end my life.

Liam: However.

Liam: I thought I would have no regrets, but… there's one thing that scares me.

His eyes narrowed into a gentle look that seemed to contain feelings of affection.

Liam: One day, I met a woman.

Liam: She looked very anxious… so I approached her because I wanted to make her smile.

Liam: However… now that I think of it, I said I was doing it for her sake, but the truth is that I did it for myself, isn't it?

Liam: … Tomorrow?

Kate: Even if today was a bad day, I want to keep going in hopes that tomorrow will be better. Therefore, I need strength to do that.

Liam: Whenever she was having a hard time, even if it was to the point of her being in tears, she always reached her hand out towards tomorrow. Her wise way of living was so moving.

Kate: I want to help others to not be afraid of what tomorrow will bring them... by writing a story.

Liam: She was the kind of woman who had hopes for the tomorrows of not just herself, but everyone around her, including myself.

Kate: The stars are beautiful tonight, so tomorrow's weather will definitely be clear… I’m looking forward to spending time with you tomorrow.

Liam: Tomorrow…

Liam: I’m part of your tomorrow too…?

Liam: Her existence was truly radiant. She made me feel like I could accomplish anything as long as I had her by my side.

Liam: I was definitely more in love with her than I deserved to be… I longed for her from the bottom of my heart.

Liam: She’s so kind hearted, she’ll feel hurt and cry for sure if she knows I’m dead. … That’s the only thing to avoid happening.

Liam: I should never be the reason why she’s unhappy.

Liam: I… I want all her tomorrows to be bright.

Max: You want me to dispose of your body so that the girl won’t find it. … A very audacious request.

Liam: I’m sorry I can’t be a good son till the end. But, please, I’m begging you!

An icy breeze hit his cheek, as if telling him that his life was at its end.

Liam: Come! It’s time to put an end to this life.

With a light foot, Liam stepped up and leaned his body out.

The stars looked beautiful that night.

And he was sure that the world would be much more beautiful if he disappeared.

He thought that death was something he had already accepted.

We hopped off the carriage and looked up at the highest point of the clock tower.

Harrison: Roger. Can your hearing pick up his voice?

Roger: He must be at the very top of this clock tower.

Alfons: Hm. There are no buildings we can jump from to get to him, so it seems that we’ll have no other option but to climb up the stairs quietly.

The thought of having to climb the stairs to reach a place so high up that it looked like it was touching the sky, could've been enough to make me lose motivation.

But—

(... Liam’s life might be in danger even now as we speak.)

Kate: Let's hurry.

…

We ran up the spiral staircase towards Liam, who was at the belfry.

I had no idea how far up we’ve gotten, but I was already gasping for air.

Kate: Haa…

Roger: Oi, you don’t look so good. Are you alright, young lady…!

My knees were so pathetically weak that it was laughable, and I certainly didn’t look alright at all.

(But I can’t give up right now. Giving up is not an option.)

Kate: I’m alright. Let’s hurry, Roger.

Roger: … Haha. That must've been very unnecessary for me to say. Let’s work a little harder.

I was becoming even more breathless, but I didn't let that stop me.

(I need to reach Liam as soon as possible.)

(I need to hold Liam with these hands.)

(Faster, faster…)

The nearer I got to Liam, the more I felt the air of death surrounding him.

I was starting to notice it, but I just couldn't dive deeper into the core of that heart.

I recalled Liam telling me “make sure that nothing can harm what’s at the core of your heart”.

But the core of Liam’s heart must've been covered in wounds that bled continuously.

(Reaching out to try and touch it, is the same as touching his wounds directly.)

I was afraid that touching his wounds would worsen the pain.

(Therefore, I want to stay by Liam’s side and gradually get to know what those wounds are.)

(I hope that one day, we can share those wounds and sorrows.)

(However.)

I claimed to be doing it for Liam’s sake, but the truth was that it was only because I was afraid of hurting him.
