In my experience, a vegan diet is actually cheaper than one with meat. Meat and dairy is for the most part expensive as fuck. i have saved money by buying more vegetables instead. If you buy beyond beef and other fancy substitutes, it's going to be expensive, but honestly, you dont need to do that. Around the world, it's common for poor people to eat mostly plantbased because it's affordable. And rich people have always been the ones eating the most animal products.

But i also acknowledge that i dont know your situation.
