WE ALL KNOW ABOUT THE HOMOEROTIC RIVALRY BETWEEN ME AND MY COPY OF THE GOOD OMENS BOOK. WE KNOW. IT STARES AT ME, I STARE BACK, IT DARES ME TO READ IT AND FALL IN LOVE WITH CROWLEY MORE, I REFUSE. WE PUT THE UST IN LUST ETC.

BUT TODAY/YESTERDAY (RIP SLEEP SCHEDULE) SINCE I WASNT ON TUMBLR, I READ TILL PAGE 70 OF THE BOOK (TILL THE PART CALLED WEDNESDAY) AND GOD FUCKING DAMN. I READ IT LISTENING TO AN AZIRAPHALE BOOKSHOP AMBIENCE AND WITH CHOPIN PLAYING AND CANDLES LIT. ANYWAY. THINGS THAT HAVE STUCK OUT TO ME:

Crowley. Just everything about Crowley. God I love him. I fucking love him. This is why I avoid reading the book. I'm such a slut for Crowley. It's manageable on the show when I know it's an actor. But WORDS CROWLEY? WORDS CROWLEY IS REAL. I AM SO IN LOVE.

Aziraphale has perfectly manicured hands. I'm pretty sure this has been mentioned three times in the first 70 pages. Three times at minimum. I forget how twink he is in the show (idk how) but man the book does NOT let you forget and I love that.

Crowley absent-mindedly sank a duck. Aziraphale called him my dear (fanfic authors everywhere: write that down write that motherfucking shit down it's better than porn). Crowley un-sunk the duck. The duck was cross.

CROWLEY DID I MENTIONED CROWLEY OH MY BABY FANCIED THE JAMES BOND DECALS HE WANTED TO LISTEN TO VIVALDI COZ THEY WERE SO STRESSED AFTER RECEIVING THE ANTICHRIST THEY LOVE GOLDEN GIRLS (I LOOKED IT UP AND OH CROWLEY) THEY DRANK FOR A WEEK AFTER SEEING THE SPANISH INQUISITION THEY OMG.

THE DRUNK SCENE. I FINALLY UNDERSTOOD THE DOLPHINS CONVERSATION. OMG THESE TWO FUCKING FOOLS I ADORE THEM.

Crowley IN THAT SCENE AND AZIRAPHALE IN THAT SCENE HOLY SHIT. CROWLEY JUST LISTING OFF ALL THE THINGS SHE KNOWS AZIRAPHALE LOVES.

AND OMG. The CONVOLUTED FUCKING METAPHOR CROWLEY COMES UP WITH INVOLVING A LITTLE BIRD FLYING TO THE ENDS OF THE UNIVERSE AND PECKING A MOUNTAIN AND COMING BACK AND DOING IT ON LOOP. FOR WHAT? JUST TO SAY THAT WHEN THE MOUNTAIN WAS GONE, HEAVEN WOULD STILL BE PLAYING THE SOUND OF MUSIC.

As usual just like me Crowley shot himself in the foot with that metaphor. Because AZIRAPHALE, THE LEGEND, STARTS SAYING THE BIRD MUST BE IMMORTAL FOR THAT, AND THEN SAYS NO ACTUALLY THE BIRD IS BEING CARRIED IN A SPACESHIP AND THE DESCENDANTS EMERGE FROM THE SPACESHIP and poor crowley is saying SO THE BIRD REACHES THE MOUNTAIN and azi excitedly says IN THE SPACESHIP and AAAAAAAAA-

Aziraphale and Crowley turn to look at you sitting on a chair, sure you looked like a teenager and if that is the form you decide to stay in, you were technically still a babe in the eyes of heaven and hell. You won't actually reach adulthood till a few hundred years old, so, you were the freest child on the whole planet.

"I want to learn," You say optimistically, "I think I'm ready."

"No, absolutely not," Aziraphale exclaim, coming to suffocate you into a hug, your face squished upon his chest as he holds you dear, "You're still a baby, and no baby needs to learn any flying or magic."

"Angel, love," Crowley drawls out, "Don't forget our baby is not normal-"

"Thanks."

"Watch it," Crowley scowls as you can't help but smirk as you wipe the sweat from your face, finally able to breathe from your father's grip, "He's a demon and an angel, so, we want to prove everyone wrong that he is neutral and better than everyone."

"Dad's right, father," You hummed, as Crowley smugly smiles at his husband, "But, father's also correct, what if I'm not ready."

"You literally said two seconds ago that you were ready."

"Now, now," Aziraphale hummed, "We can't force you to do something you're not ready. But, if you want to really start learning then," He sighs defeatedly, "I won't oppose you."

"I want to do it."

"Then it's decided."

"Crowley!" Aziraphale screamed, "Why did you push our child off a building?"

"He's durable."

"Not invincible!"

"Are you guys done arguing?" You asked, you were levitating in the air, looking at your parents, arms crossed over your chest.

There you were flying, sure, to the human eyes they can just see you as levitating, but your parents know better that your wings were the reason for you floating. You looked pretty unscathed as a little annoyed but Aziraphale let out a sigh of relief.

"See, angel, knew he could fly."

"That still doesn't warrant the fact that you pushed him off a building, you're lucky Crowley we're going this in the countryside with the only tall building. Imagine the mess we will have if anyone saw him like this!"

"I originally pushed him out of a window, but that didn't work."

"I almost broke my arm."

"(Y/n), I thought you wouldn't tell him that!"

You shrugged your shoulders, looking bemused as your fathers started to argue, you cannot help but smile at their stupidity before lowing yourself gently and hoping they sort themselves out.

"All you need to do is put your mind to it."

"As if I haven't heard that a million times already," You grumbled under your breath.

"What was that?" Aziraphale turns to look at you confused, almost intrigued with what you said.

You flush in embarrassment, "Nothing, father."

"Alright!" He claps his hands, rubbing them before placing them gently on his lap, "All you need is to focus on what you want to do, say, you were to turn the lights on. Then, you just need to think about lights being on and snap your fingers."

"Easier said than done," You huffed, as you looked at your father with a tired expression, "And this is super easy stuff, why can't I do it?"

"Hey," Your father coos softly, "You're still young, my boy, all we can do is try. Plus, your powers probably haven't come through yet, so there isn't a need to be sad about it."

"I guess..."

"Alright, why don't we try it again? And if not, why don't you get some rest."

You let out one last sigh as you turn to look at the lantern before you, you look at it in disgust as if you wanted to burst the lightbulb within it. You raised your dominant hand before snapping your fingers, what you were expecting was a defeated fizzle that the light attempted to turn on or nothing to happen, but what happened instead was the bulb smashing.

"Oh, dear!"

"Well, that worked," You say with little enthusiasm, as your father looks at you inquisitively, "I was getting annoyed and I couldn't get it out of my mind that I just wanted it to smash than actually turn it on."

"Well..." Aziraphale trailed off, "I guess it did work, well done my boy."

"Thanks, father!"

"You know, I heard him praying last night," Aziraphale hummed, stirring his tea as Crowley rolled his eyes, "I don't know who to."

"Well, you don't exactly pray to the devil," Crowley replied sarcastically as Aziraphale gives him a look, "I'm just saying, anyway, where is this going?"

"Maybe, we're pushing him too hard," Aziraphale expressed, sighing as he sat down next to his lover, "I heard him praying for his powers to be there, he doesn't want us to be disappointed in him."

"Maybe we are too hard on him."

"Yes, exactly, and he's still a babe, there are many years ahead to let him learn his powers, control them and use them. I don't think we need to rush him at all."

"Then, it's decided, we will talk to him about it."

Aziraphale let out a noise of satisfaction, "Well, this is a first for you, to talk things out."

Crowley simply gives him a smile, "You're lucky I love you and our son."

"Aren't we lucky?"

Since I thouthg ''well they need space for their children'' I made a 3rd floor desing just for the kids. I have prepared so far 5 rooms in wich 2 can have two children.

Some Zira pregnant suggestions. Spoilers inbound.

- Him and Crowley still being in heaven and Crowley being happy after creating a nebula and getting it on. Aziraphale only finding out after Crowley fell that he is pregnant.

- Him and Crowley doing it on Earth and Aziraphale getting pregnant. But people Crowley is part snake, he is carrying eggs rather than a live birth.

- Him and Crowley fucking between the kiss and the “I forgive you” (omg I sobbed) and Aziraphale going up to heaven and finding out he’s pregnant with Crowley’s eggs. Only to be kept from Crowley by Metatron.

- Aziraphale ‘nesting’ in the bookshop. With comfy blankets and all the books he could ever want to read.

- Crowley either constantly in snake form wrapped around Aziraphale or bringing him hot chocolate.

- Aziraphale carrying loads of eggs at once because small snakes lay between 6-10 eggs at once (more for bigger snakes)

- Aziraphale going through nine months of pregnancy in less that 60 days.

I am delighted by all of these. I am often so soft over some “Good Omens” mpreg.

Aziraphale seeking out placement on Earth after Crowley’s fall, mainly to avoid other angels knowing about his pregnancy, only for their exchange in Eden to happen and for both of them to assume the other doesn’t remember their “encounter”, and thus drama ensues.

Aziraphale figuring that the weird feelings he has in his tummy is standard fare for pregnancy, whereas Crowley is quick to notice that his body is forming shells and thus developing eggs for their snabies (snake babies).

I sobbed as well! The Metatron being quick to either forcing Aziraphale to “rid himself” of the eggs or figuring he will banish “those things” to Earth once they’re born and Aziraphale doing all he can to depart following that reveal.

Aziraphale’s methods of keeping people out reach a point in which he claims the shop is undergoing “renovations”, so he can just spend all day curled up in an armchair, feet up, listening to records and reading his books.

Crowley also taking advantage of his excuse to do as you described. He will often transform just to purchase cocoa from Nina’s shop or to make it himself before returning to his snake form, warming up his angel’s belly just as it is warming him in turn.

I adore all of this, and it begs the question - are the eggs carrying regular-sized snakes? Or Crowley-sized snakes? Or do the eggs contain angelic babies? Because if so, good Lord, he’s gonna be big.

I adore that idea and see the above questions. 👀

In what is *highly* uncharacteristic fashion for me, I don’t actually hunt out Good Omens fics for the smut.

I came to fanfic by way of the slash. I started out studying the original K/S zines from the the 70s for a uni thesis long ago, then got sucked into the fucking delightful porn of it all. To this day, it’s the explicit stuff I prize reading above all else.

Except for this ship. Except for Crowley and Aziraphale. My favourite fics are full of hand holding, longing looks and loving kisses. Oh so many kisses. But - for once - I don’t actually need the sex to be in the fic and I don’t go specifically looking for it.

Until this fic. Until the delightfully smutty, explicit goodness that is: “Move over, baby, gimme the keys”

Oh this was amazing. I adore this fic because it’s sexual and sexy and fucking hot, and still manages to nail the characterisation of Aziraphale and Crowley perfectly. And the Bentley! Omg car sex has never been so hot!

Look, we all read fanfic for the characters we love. If the writing starts to lose those characters when they get sexy, it’s better off not going there at all.

But this fic… oh, this fic gets it exactly right. Crowley’s grumpiness and need. Aziraphale’s intellect and capacity to very quickly figure out just what’s going on with his demon, and *exactly* what to do about it.

Cause you just know that anyone who thinks Crowley is the top in that relationship hasn’t been paying proper attention.

SORRY TO BREAK IT TO YOU BUT JUST COS YOU'RE A HOZIER GIRLIE AND A LOT OF HIS WORK FOCUSES ON RELIGION AND THAT ONE SLITHERED HERE FROM EDEN LINE IS KINDA COOL DOESN"T MEAN THAT THE SIX THOUSAND YEAR OLD ACTUAL DEMON FROM ACTUAL HELL like your pop music i'm really sorry but it doenst fit his character he canonically has like one friend and a few people he doesnt mind so much he is not buddying up to your favourite celebrities/musicians just cos you think all your blorbos should like all the same stuff you do. the bentley playing queen is framed as an annoyance because hell is annoying, that he just kinda of got used to just cos its playing all the time why would he have been friends with the guy???? doesnt make sense?????

also current fanon takes on crowley annoy me so much he's always some whiney baby and look i love a good sopping wet and pathetic character as much as the next guy but we've sort of completely overshot s1 'i just lost my best friend' level of understandable grief and gone straight to him just being annoying????? like being mopey??? and i dont read a lot of fic but when i did he seemed to get portrayed a lot as like this submissive quivering mess like GUYS LITERALLY HOW DID YOU REACH THAT CONCLUSION???? HES NOT LIKE THAT. HE JUST ISNT. and he's always soooooo traumatised and like.... yeah! they've both been through A Lot but they also have fun and enjoy being alive and enjoy hanging out wih each other and going and getting coffee etc. they both enjoy life!!! and i get some people are projecting to deal with there own stuff and like cool whatever works for you is good and healthy but i see so many takes that are starting to warp the perception of how the characters really are? and people keep positing aziraphale as being manipulative and i mean. yeah a little but they're under a lot of stress here and probably heaven doesnt have therapy covering healthy coping methods and good relationships so i really dont think itsthat much to get hung up on. also. it's literally not real they're fictional, fiction characters who have Issues are wayyyyy more interesting to literally whats the problem.

like idk man if you love teh characters so much then why are you making so many changes to their fundamental characters idk.

back to teh music thing too like. he listens to the velvet underground. idk if any of the people who are hozier stans bothered to go listen to some velvet underground before they made their character playlist but pale blue eyes & i'll be your mirror are like the nice ones??? like go listen to sister ray and then tell me the guy whos been listening to that will find from eden interesting. and neil saying he was goth and then people seem to have taken that to mean 'wears black and has a tattoo and is grumpy' like nooooooooooooooooooooooo you missed it. you missed the point again. and teh person who answered the orginal ask was like 'ahaha yeahhhhh and aziraphale was friends with composers and all teh beautiful symphonies were about crowley ahaha' like AHSGNAJKNHSKAJNSKANHSKANAKSNAKSKAKKKKK . AHN. K. not everything in the go universe is about them like. sorry! good worldbuilding doesnt make Everything focused on two guys. just cos they're very important and have been very influential doesnt mean they're like. the only thing thats ever shaped anything
