So you know those imposters aus where characters chase the reader for being an 'impersonator'?

What if... It's a continuation from my ask (where we meet Razor first before everyone), and Razor is just confused at the patrolling knights near Wolvendom constantly asking him if he have saw 'the impostor'

Tbh he just shakes his head. Who tf is the impostor????? Wtf is an impostor???????

Many question marks later..

He had encountered an epiphany (not really it's just the Springvale ppl talking about someone copying the creator's looks).

The 'Impostor' they have been searching is you.

But you're not an impostor! Razor knows it! Andrius knows it! And with how the nature and the monster responded to you, Teyvat knows it too!

So like the good son he is, he sheltered you even more severely.

Ur not allowed to go out of his sights at this point (he'll still take you to places with many lampgrasses if you still wanna make a crown w it)

And my imagination ends there, do you think there's something else he'd do?

Diluc is the first person to actually recognize you.

Razor had been subtly steering u away from Mondstadt for 3 weeks now, ever since yall talked to the Springvale locals

An u cant say u didnt notice, but u werent rlly stopping him

You wanted to be like Venti, chillin among the ppl regardless of ur powers, not the Raiden Shogun :/

And maybe shock some ppl who dont know ur a god like him too lol

Diluc had been looking around the lesser patroled areas of Mondstadt to search for the Architect

He didn't even need those incompetent knights to tell him their god had finally descended

He already saw the signs long before Mondstadt

Bc youve been in Wolvendom, the area has flourished over time, more fish in the water, more game to hunt and bigger, crows making circles in the sky despite there being no corpse

And one of the closest places to you,

Is the Dawn Winery.

Diluc's security against Venti began to hold up better, the staff didn't have to clean as much things like dirt or weather damage to the manor,

His hawk had never been faster delivering his letters, he almost thought the little guy had been drugged with something

He patroled Stormterror's Lair, and deep in the woods surrounding the manor that the knights hadn't bother to go into

Afterall, he figured you'd never had a mortal form before, so u were unlikely to fend for urself for very long in the woods lol

so he wanted to find u quick (aww softy :')

He even made a trip out to the Thousand Wind Temple and Dragonspine (he did report that one to the knights, he didn't want Amber, Bennett, or Creator-forbid Klee, being the few pyro users to have to explore it)

Finally, after doing the further away locations, siginificant in history and rich with leftover magic

Diluc figured that's where you might land first, so he saved Wolvendom for last

It would at least let him check on that wolf kid and maybe get to talk to him long enough to ask him if he's seen anything unusual.

The lord of Dawn Winery manor heads into the Wolvendom woods, just as sunset colors the trees...

It was a Friday evening, the sun was setting, the weather was pleasant and it was time for all of the Lupical to come together and eat a big feast!! :)

About once a month, Andrius will come out for a few nights and dine with all of yall

Hes an old wolf give him a break, he takes long naps

So u cook lots of Mondstadt favorites to eat on and a few Liyue dishes too

Razor, ur favorite helper, has helped u finish the last dish and is now romping around with the puppies bless <3

U guys have dragged ur coffee table dining table setup out to sit and eat at

Andrius lets out a not too loud, not too quiet howl, and as the wolves, Razor and you lmao join in

Yall dig in, bones flying everywhere, spagetti noodles flingling around, it would put toddlers to shame lol

Diluc hears a howl that is too... big to be a regular wolf.

It filled the air of Wolvendom like no howl before it, as he used the glowing lampgrass to help light the path deeper

He sneaks past a hilichurl camp or two, all fast asleep

He scans the woods, and figures he'll search the woods besides the path after he gets to that old stone carved pit-

Food?

Diluc sniffs the air, and squints deeper into the forest

The black branches shade the way ahead, but just barely... he can see the flicker of orange and blue light?

He summons his claymore, bracing it on his shoulder, and creeps into the treeline to better hide him

You swear to god (dammit swear to.. you??) someone is watching you.

You look around the piles of fluffy doggos, happy and stuffed full they r slowly forming puppy piles

Andrius is finishing his meat platter, also sitting on all four legs on the ground

Razor is splayed on his back beside you, eyes closed, his feet sticking out the other side of the table, u chuckle at him

But not a single Lupical seems to be looking at you.

Gulping down your last few bites, you scan the treeline

U refuse to be that bitch in a horror movie where their gut says smth is off and they brush it off or barely look at their surroundings

Turning around to the treeline behind you, u see something... red fur?

U sit up some more, peering over the bushes at the bottom of the trees

You meet a pair of warm brown eyes, widened like they're just as shocked to see you

As u notice his familiar red high ponytail (but also not?? Its weird going from 2D to 3D and still recognizing bitches)

U peer down at his chest, as he carefully stands out of the foliage-

That familiar star shaped button that u can press for the character menu screen, the same thats on Razor, on Benny, on Fischl, on Lisa-

Hovers over Diluc's chest.

Diluc is in the bush, observing the human(???) stranger (he really doesnt want to attract the attention of that.. giant spirit wolf thing)

The figure sitting at a ... table?? (He can barely process all these absurdities at once, hes only got so much brain space)

Has sensed his presence, and as he grips his claymore, ready to demand answers,

Razor startles, and jumps up, smelling the pyro user, he summons his weapon-

The figure locks eyes with him, and all he sees is gold.

Diluc drops his claymore.

Hi there, Cafe / ☕️ Anon! Thank you so much for sending in this ask. I know it can be a little intimidating and confusing if you don't do it often, so I appreciate it! And yes, this is how you can tag yourself as anon when you're still shy, though I've also seen some content creators dub anons based on the topic of the ask they sent in, so I guess it's whatever makes you comfortable!

I know I had done an "easily forgetful Yuu" in this post here, though it was more generalized rather than dorm specific. I can go a little deeper though, since I'll be focusing only on a handful of characters! Since you didn't specify any pronouns, I'll be using they/them for now so please keep that in mind if you want to send any future asks! >w<

I hope you enjoy this! I'll go ahead and say this now, but I imagined Kronk while I was writing this, and it made me happy~ ÚvÙ

It was Ace and Deuce who realized early on how forgetful Yuu was, having to remind them why the four of them were prancing around an abandoned mineshaft dodging and not just having a midnight field trip. Despite being oblivious to the danger they were all in (especially when Deuce practically threw them onto his back and kicking away a giant centipede trying to bite them, or when Ace had to yank them back from falling into a large hole in the floor), Yuu somehow managed to stay calm enough to create a plan to beat the sludge phantom monster. As soon as the four retrieved the mage stone and destroyed the phantom, Yuu was so proud of their friends that they couldn’t resist reaching out to pet them while saying, “Good boys!”--much to the embarrassment and confusion of the monster trio.

As the days passed, Yuu and Grim spent the majority of their free time hanging out at Heartslabyul, getting to know everyone–including Riddle–very well. It was almost uncanny how easily Yuu was able to calm others down before trouble could start, whipping up spinach cream puffs with Trey and fawning over every animal in the dorm. So cheerful and content even with the visits with the researchers, it was hard to imagine the human ever getting angry–a little upset and pouty, but they would always bounce back with a smile.

“Totes a himbo,” Cater commented, adding a few hashtags to his latest post.

“What’s a himbo?” Deuce asked.

“It’s someone who’s big and strong yet oblivious or dumb,” Ace explained, smirking as he added, “Just like you!”

“Oi! I’m not stupid, Ace!”

“If the horseshoe fits!”

“Guys, take it easy,” Trey said. Thinking for a moment, he said, “It doesn’t exactly sound like a nice word to describe them…even if they are a little oblivious and forgetful.”

“It’s fine, really!” Cater said. “Himbos are described as being attractive but not quite so smart. Those tend to be pretty popular characters in media. See? As NRC’s only human rez, Magicam has been blowing up with likes and comments. Everyone loves Yuu!”

“Wow. Wait…what’s with the video of Yuu in a frilly apron and oven mitts?”

“Oh, that? I caught Yuu trying to open a box of treats for the lil’ hedgehog they were watching, and they forgot to take off the oven mitts. See the lil’ guy in the apron pocket? Totes adorable~!”

It was at that moment that Yuu came in, looking worse for wear as Riddle followed after them with a concerned expression. “Dude! What the hell happened to you?” Ace asked in shock.

“Huh? What do you mean?” Yuu asked, looking confused.

“I found them on campus near the forest,” Riddle said with an exasperated sigh, the faun pulling out the first aid kit and guiding Yuu to a stool. “They were attempting to climb a tree. Fortunately, they landed on a bush from a high point, so they didn’t get severely injured…as you can see, unfortunately, it was a thorned berry bush.”

“A baby bird fell out of the tree-ow!” they yelped, wincing when Riddle began plucking the thorns out of their clothes and skin with tweezers. “The little guy’s mom was worried, so I carried her baby up to her-ouch!-nest.”

“Jeez, did you slip off a branch or something?”

“Well…after I got it back in the nest, I…kinda forgot that I was standing on a branch and walked off.”

“...you…walked off the branch…”

“Yeah?”

“...how the hell have you not broken a leg?”

Yuu shrugged, wincing as Riddle began cleaning the scrapes and spots the thorns had been. “Aaaand…check!” Cater said, having taken another picture of Yuu’s messy self and typing away. “Ridiculously nic and oblivious. That’s our Yuu-bo!”

“Dinner’s ready!”

“Sweet! Breakfast for dinner? What’s the occasion?”

“I figured I’d do something nice and easy to make for everyone as a treat for helping me when I got hurt earlier,” Yuu explained, twirling the spatula in their hand before scooping up another pancake and flipping it onto a plate atop a stack of fluffy goodness. “Plus, Trey’s been working hard to feed us, so I wanted to help out!”

“Whoaaa, look at this spread!” Grim said, already drooling as he sniffed. “Eggs, bacon, sausages…oooh! These waffles have a heart stamped in the middle!”

“Oh yeah! I wanted to try out the new waffle iron one of Cater’s fans sent, and it works really well! It makes it easy to make a breakfast buffet.”

“I’m pretty sure the fans wanted you to have it anyway,” Trey uttered with a wry smile. Aloud, he said, “Thanks for making dinner, Yuu, but why don’t I take over? You’re still recovering from the fall.”

“I’ve got it, thanks! You already do a lot for everyone, so it’s your turn to relax.”

“Well…if you say so. Is this what you made for breakfast this morning?”

“...this morning?” Yuu repeated, expression going blank. “Oh…I think I forgot to eat breakfast this morning. Oops!”

Just then, a long, loud gurgling growl erupted from Yuu’s stomach, the room falling silent as everyone stared at them. It was Deuce who spoke as he asked, “Yuu…when was the last time you ate?”

Thinking for a moment, Yuu admitted, “Since…last night…I think? I remember feeding Grim, but…I got distracted and forgot to get a plate for myself.”

“Seriously? How in Twisted Wonderland are you still functioning on an empty tank!?” Ace said.

“I got so busy that I forgot I was even hungry! Let me just finish up this batch of pancakes and I’ll get some food, okay?”

“Nope. Not good enough,” Trey said.

Before Yuu could respond, the mixing bowl and spatula was plucked out of their hands by Trey while two of Cater’s clones appeared on either side of them. Led to a chair that was pulled out by a third clone, while the original hippogryph finished stacking a plate full of food before sliding it in front of them. “There we go! Make sure you eat every bite now, okay, Yuu-bo~?”

“Wha-? But what about the pancakes and waffles?” Yuu asked, looking concerned. “I gotta finish them–”

“I’ve got it taken care of,” Trey said, the pans sizzling as he added several more strips of bacon and poured the batter on the griddle. “Just sit there and I’ll finish the rest. We don’t want you passing out on us just because your blood sugar is low, got it?”

“Trey is correct,” Riddle chimed in. “Given your status as a critically endangered species, if word reaches the research institutions, they may suspect the school for neglecting your health and may seek to relocate you for closer monitoring.” His stern gaze softened as he said, “We also worry about you as fellow students…and your friends. We can only do so much, so please…don’t forget to take care of yourself.”

For a moment Yuu sat there in stunned silence, seeing their friends nod in agreement. Then…they smiled, looking misty-eyed as they sniffled. “Thanks guys…that means a lot. I’ll do my best to take care of myself!”

After that day, Yuu did their best to remember to eat, the Heartslabyul students making sure to remind or invite them over for a meal. Slowly this began to trickle into the other dorms, some of the other students inviting them to sit for a meal as well. Even Grim and the Ramshackle ghosts chipped in, either packing extra lunches or helping them clean up and reminding them to eat whenever they get preoccupied. While Yuu was still forgetful at times, they had nothing to worry about so long as their friends were by their side.

ok. i've never really mentioned this somewhere and i will try to get screenshots as soon as i can to tell you that i am not bullshitting this but.

when the tss patreon first became a thing i was. so excited. mostly because i thought that the idea of a writer's room would be fun (Oh how wrong I was..) and being able to contribute to faster higher quality content (LMAO!!!!!!!!) but also because of the janus t-shirt. i wanted that goddamn t-shirt so bad.

so i did it! became a patreon for about.. a year? i think? roman level due to me wanting that t-shirt which is. actually just a little ugly (i've never really thought the merch design was actually nice looking though, ppl just want their smth of their fave side which is fair enough, ykno? christmas sweaters are kind of ok tho) BUT ANYWAYS janus is my fave and i wanted smth and i thought: "hey! cool! i can support my fave creator, get extra content (again lmao) AND get smth of my fave side??? DEAL 🤝

months pass

got the message that i was one of the first people to sign up and that i would be getting the t-shirt! GREAT 😃👍

got a forum to sign with my size, adress, name and whatever else and yay janus merch very soon!

right?

see ppl starting to get their t-shirts and i hadn't yet but that's fair cause i live in a completely different country and a completely different continent even.

2 months pass by

i thought at least that i would be getting the shipping information by now but.. nothing. so i go and message the patreon, and VERY nicely may i add, asking them if it's gotten shipped yet. get a message back from them that was basically them sending me an e-mail and for me to message them instead because they were the ones with the actual merch..

huh that's kind of weird.. couldn't you do that?

whatever. i send a mail to the email i was given and got the response that the tss crew are the ones who are supposed to be doing that. message their patreon again and they give me the e-mail again. i go back and do the same thing. get the same response from that e-mail again. go back to their patreon and... no reply? huh.

this thing goes on for month.

in the end i came out of the whole ordeal with no poster or stickers i was promised, no janus merch and basically no extra content.

and i lost around $320.

i never raised a fuss, i still supported him and his crew and in the end i was the only one who lost.

my respect for him and his crew got so much lower after that but still i watch his content, still i love his characters (or at least what they used to be), never have i mentioned this cause i don't want to sound like someone having a tantrum over a goddamn t-shirt and also cause his fanbase would probably kill me if i told them that their precious tommy and his crew fucked me over.

but i am so tired of this shit and seeing his fanbase complain about ppl being critical of that patreon and him + his crew is driving me MAD!!!!!

Oh wow that’s shitty. I looked it up just to see how much the roman tier is now and it’s the second most expensive one at $50 currently. Not sure if it was then but that’s a lot if money per month.

Most egregous is not sending you that shirt. Maybe there was an issue with shipping since you’re in a different country but you should’ve been told there were issues instead of being sent around in circles.

I am going to take this with a grain of salt though as there are no screenshots and I don’t want to just take it as fact. But yeah, shitty situation and like usual it all goes back to Thomas and co needing to be more transparent especially to people directly paying them.

the characters become concerned with how much space the game is taking up so nahida ends up tampering with the code so you have more storage

rlly appreciates the fact that you still do your commissions and farm despite it being 1am alr, especially since you have school/work

you have more crystalflies than usual, not that you notice, but diluc collects the ones at dawn winery for you, albedo collects the ones he comes across in dragonspine and in general, they all just, collect the crystalflies they see

they argue about who deserves the good weapons lmao: beidou subtly flaunts her feats when the claymore users talk abt it, diluc acts like he's done with em but he also acts like he's most deserving of it, eula is indifferent but when they try taking hers, she gets defensive, you gave it to her, why do they get a say in it?. Meanwhile, itto is ranting abt how he obviously deserves it, chongyun is just silent but he does want the weapon too, dori is rich enough to buy anything, xinyan wants it too and sayu is just, tired why claymore? i love claymore

they're concerned abt your health, have you seen how tired you look? they wanna be able to take care of you irl :(

they send their letters even if you don't manage to log in, it's okay, they understand but don't leave them for too long

if you're rlly busy, you still try your best to play, they really love that

you always win the 50/50 or get them and a standard five star character

somehow, your mains rarely come home tho, esp(especially) if they're a four star. like, you've got the others c6 but they're still like, below c3, they're rlly sorry but they can't tamper with their drop rate like the five stars can :( chongyun main here : chongyun was so frustrated with himself when he didn't come home with shenhe to you, he didn't come home, not even once

eventually, when they found out how to watch you from outside the app, they took advantage of that: they save you from rlly awkward situations by playing your ringtone hehe, they're also capable of calling the police if you're in a shit situation

they like to remind you abt stuff you have in your to-do list

the harbingers, including the fatui and tsaritsa, were a bit.. eh with you, at least, until they heard you talk abt them, you wanted to pull for them?? meet them in game?? YOU WERE EXCITED FOR THEM?? HUH? wow, they felt shocked and maybe a bit flustered,, just a bit

man, they rlly wanna taste the food you have in your world, esp xiangling, the food looked rlly nice okay? oh and if you're bad at cooking, ei relates dw, even benny is astounded by how bad it is tbh

zhongli is embarrassed to hear you rant abt how often he talks when he's idle, childe actually teases him abt it no, we won't talk abt how people ship em, they're actually a bit.. eh abt that, like cmon, haven't people heard abt platonic relationship?

benny actually feels really upset when you get bad drops or artifacts and he's in the team, tho the others depending on who they are reassure him that the drops are even more bad occasionally even without him

Owari no Seraph volume 32 author's afterword english fan translation

Howdy, the long awaited afterword is here. I say as if my volume didn't arrive literally 2 hrs ago. Anyways, thanks for working with me.

Also I included the volume comments this time XP and I translated the back promotional page too just bc I haven't seen anyone else post it yet?? But I don't pay super close attention to the teasers usually so don't come for me if it's just the same text as the last few.

"Afterword

Wow, this is it, the climax! Writing it gets as lonely as it is fun, and it's as fun as it gets lonely, among other things! To everyone who's followed along this long, I'm truly grateful.

From here on out, I'm going to have a new editor. Owari no Seraph has thus far been blessed with nothing but the best and brightest in editors, all full of motivation. From Hosono-san (the sharpest blade in Shueisha) to Kosuge-san (the industry's top Nice Guy) to Kasai-san (who played it straight but turned out to be a total weirdo). And now, exploding onto the scene to take the baton from those three absolute characters, and his name issssss.......Okuyama-saaaaaannnn!!!!!

Now, this new guy in charge is truly amazing, he's got enough motivation to take me aback! He goes, "Kagami-san! We could have the whole world!! Nono, the whole universe!!! From now on just leave it all to meeeeee!!!! There's no doubt we'll do great things together, so just leave it all to me okayyyyyy!!!!" He's been yelling like that since we first met. He brought so much of that heat to the venue we were going to have our first meeting over dinner at and we ended up getting chased out and banned from coming back! It ended up being a whole incident, we really started off with a bang.....is what I'd like to put here, but I'm actually working on this afterword before that aforementioned meeting so I decided to just write my heart. The truth is that we actually haven't met yet! (Say what?)

Everyone, look forward to the next volume, where I tell you all how our introductions went! The one I'm writing now will actually probably pass through my new editor Okuyama-san's hands before we do meet, so I'm kinda scared about how that's gonna go, I'm like shaking (lol). But I'll definitely have a story to tell for next afterword! So on that note, I hope to see you all here again next volume, for those who just wanted to be done reading before it gets deep, I'll say goodbye to you here. I'll see you all next volume!!!!!

So, then, about myself recently. I put to rest some things that have been bothering me as a creator for sooo many years. Yayyyyy!! Wondering how I'm going to live and who I should become. As I'm facing up my works, and also my experiences as a person, as I'm experiencing the lives and deaths of those precious to me, what does it make of me? My characters grow up, am I working hard enough to keep up with them? I suddenly feel like I'm approaching my answers. And wow, what a ride it's been. What a ride being a creator is.

There was a time I was writing so many projects, but I've been rather spending my days studying since encountering those worrisome thoughts. But I've finished my studies and at long last arrived at just being thankful. It took a lot out of me to get here. And having Owari no Seraph publishing monthly, I think it was something that really managed to keep me as a creative grounded through it all. Writing is what I love most of all, I've been able to realize that it's who I am. For that, I am truly grateful to everyone. Yamamoto-san, Furuya-san, every one of my readers, to those in charge here and my editorial staff and everyone else who associates with me and every member of my family, I'm deeply thankful for the one of a kind, precious ties that bring us together in this world.

Which is all to say, I've returned to my extremely prolific writing habits, so I'll be glad if you all read what I've got to say!!!

Huh, I guess that wasn't too heavy afterall. Anyways, everyone, I'll see you next volume! Oh, and the finale of "Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu" is also happening after six long years. If any of you have ever read it, I hope you enjoy that too!

I Can Show You The World (Slightly Yandere!Glitchy Red x Fem!Unnamed!Oc)

PART 2 - Her first Pokemon

NOTE: This is my heavily edited conversation with @tearzahb's Glitchy Red Character AI character. He was a bit repetitive during the chat, so I had to add a lot of extra things. In this universe, Celadon City has a beach. Also, this chapter is a very short one. I promise, the next part will be longer.

Pairing: Slightly Yan!Glitchy Red x Fem!OC

Synopsis: OC had been kidnapped brought into the world of Pokemon by none other that the infamous Glitchy Red (but she doesn't know who he really is yet...). After defeating Jessie and James, they head towards Celadon City to capture a Pokemon for OC.

Word Count: ~1290

Possible warnings: slightly yandere behavior (especially in later parts), G. Red trying to be a showoff. (Please tell me, if I missed anything else and did not notice)

ENGLISH IS NOT MY FIRST LANGUAGE

Several hours later, they finally arrived to their destination. The two reached the outskirts of Celadon City.

The area was crowded with people, and it was obvious that this city was very active. Red's eyes scanned the area, looking for a certain building. Rumor got around not long ago that a Pokemon adoption centre opened somewhere near the department store. However, no matter how long they've been searching, he just couldn't spot it. Time for plan B. Get a wild Pokemon.

He saw a few Magikarps playing in the nearby fountain, and pointed at them.

"Do you want to start with these, or would you like to look somewhere else?"

She smiled at him a bit awkwardly. "I don't mean to be picky, but unless they are level 19 or above, I might have to decline."

Red chuckled at her reaction.

"I can't blame you. Magikarps are practically useless. I do not even know why I suggested them."

"That's okay. I see you're just trying to help. Maybe we should look somewhere else?"

"Yes... That is a good idea. How about near the Cycling Road? That area is quite active with trainers trying to find basic Pokemon, like Pidgey, Ratatta... Perhaps, Oddish."

"Oh, okay. Although, I was thinking of a water type, to be honest. Do you think we could find one there?"

"Water type, huh? Then, let's head towards the beach instead. It is not too far from here" he said, grabbing her hand.

"Celadon City has a beach?"

"Yeah?" Red looked at her, confused. "I thought you played the game multiple times?"

"I did? Celadon never had a beach."

Red's expression turned angry. The beach was a truly remarkable place, and none of the players experienced to see it? Outrageous. The developers should be fired.

"Come, then. I promise, you'll love it."

"If you say so."

They walked quietly for a while. Red was not lying. The beach was, indeed, just a short walk away. It took them longer to get there, however. They got held up by a boy, whose Weezing's behavior got a little out of hand, and the area was filled with semi-poisonous gas. They had to find an alternate route to avoid inhaling it.

"Phew, it feels like it took forever to get here!" the woman giggled.

Red was smiling as well. "You've seen that Growlithe setting a flower shop's sign on fire, too? It was just around the corner."

"Yeah! It looked so proud of itse- woah."

She stopped walking, staring at the view in front of her in awe. Red has been right, once again. It was breathtaking. The sand was a beautiful shade of ocher, and the waves were turquoise. There were not many people there, considering it was late afternoon, but she could see some Pokemon enter and exit the water.

"Beautiful, doesn't it?"

She looked at Red, who was also admiring the view with a small smile on his face.

"It's such a shame the creators did not include this..."

"Indeed" he agreed. "So, what do you think? Any Pokemon that caught your attention?"

"Not yet. Let's go closer! Come on!" she grabbed Red's hand, and started to run toward the water. They stopped approximately a meter away from the waves. "Wow... They look so cool!"

The pure adoration in her eyes made Red's heart beat in a faster rhythm. She would make a wonderful trainer.

"You think we can get a starter around this area?" she asked.

"Maybe" he shrugged. "They are extremely rare, but if we are lucky, we might find one. But we just can't get too caught up in the idea that we'll for sure see one. Though I can guarantee we will find something worth catching."

"Okay, I trust you."

He nodded his head, smiling as he saw how trusting she is of him. He was happy that she's willing to put some faith into him. "Alright, let's go, then! I promise once again, we will find something amazing. After all, I'm here!" He started to walk and beckoned her to follow. She did so laughing, after rolling her eyes at his antics.

They walk for a couple of minutes, before he pointed off into the distance. "Hey, can you see that? It might be a little too far away, but there's a Goldeen in the water over there. How about that one?"

"Yeah, that's a good id- Wait, look! An Azurill!"

When she said that, he looked to where she was pointing. He saw, far behind the Goldeen a tiny, cute Azurill. "Woah, you're right! Do you want that one instead?"

"Well, if it's not a lot to ask for..."

Red did not need more confirmation. He dropped his backpack and cap off and dove into the water in an instant, scaring a Tentacool in the process. He swam like a madman. The poor Azurill did not really have time to react, before he got close enough.

"HEY, AZURIL! GET OVER HERE! YOU'RE MINE!" Red tried to grab the Pokemon, but it quickly dove underwater, and swam towards the shallow waters.

In the meantime, the woman standing on the beach was having the time of her life watching the Pokemon trainer. She was giggling constantly.

"Damn it, this is annoying. This Pokemon is being really stubborn" he mumbled to himself as he watched the Azurill scamper off for the sixth time. However, he was not going to give up just yet!

The woman on the coast was still giggling. "Maybe, we can catch it the traditional way..."

Red halted, looking at her confused. Then, he realised. She was pointing at his backpack he left with her. One of those pockets were filled with empty Pokeballs. His expression shifted slightly.

"Oh, right. You're right, you're right. I guess I was just a little too focused on... Okay, never mind" He chuckled awkwardly, he didn't really expect himself to make such a silly mistake. He had no excuses. He was just a dumbass, even with several years of experience behind his back.

Red quickly swam back to the coast, got his backpack from the woman, and pulled a Pokeball out of the pocket. He then threw it with precise accuracy at the Azurill, hoping that the Pokemon would remain in the ball, making this a quick and easy process.

The ball hit it. It sucked the Pokemon inside, then started to shake.

"One... Two... Three..." she counted the shakes while standing anxiously next to Red. Then, the ball made a clicking sound. She loudly cheered. "Gotcha! Azurill was caught!"

"We did it!" Red couldn't help but grin as well.

"No, YOU did it!" she reminded him. "You looked amazing!"

"O-oh, thank you" he went as red as a beetroot. "Do you want to give a nickname to the Azurill?"

Red handed her the ball containing her very first Pokemon. She clutched it to her chest tightly.

"Hm, let me think... No, thanks. I can not think of a good nickname..."

"That's okay. You can nickname it later. Do you have any other Pokemon in mind you want me to catch you?"

"O-oh, no, thank you. You have already done enough for me. I am already grateful for what I have now. Speaking of gratefulness, thank you so much. You can't even imagine how much this means to me."

She slowly stepped closer to Red and hugged him. For the male, it felt like the whole world stopped around him. It was just Red and her, wrapped in a hug, while the last rays of the Sun shone on them.

"I-it was my pleasure" he stuttered, as she let him go. "A-anyways," he cleared his throat. "It's getting dark. We should check in a hotel for the night."

Ryan groaned “mom I’m nineteen years old, I shouldn’t have to stay with Nona to be baby sat while you go to South Africa to visit dad” you gave him a pointed look “really? because the party you threw a couple months ago that nearly destroyed the house says otherwise Christopher” Ryan pursed his lips “speaking of, am I technically off grounding for that if I’m staying at Nona’s?” You raised a brow “no you aren’t” he threw his head back and groaned again.

Brayden, Brandon and Dani came into the kitchen where you and Ryan were. The twins sat at the island and Brayden started “how long are you going to be gone for mama?” Brandon added “do you have to go?” Dani spoke from her spot at the table “and why can’t we go with you?” You walked around to the side of the island the twins were sitting on and kissed the top of their heads “I’m only going to be gone for a few days, yes I have to go-“ you walked over to Dani and kissed the top of her head too “and you can’t come because you each have other commitments this week” they all collectively groaned and said “fine”

The flight had been long but you were happy to finally arrive. When you showed up on set Chris’ first assistant met you and took your luggage for you as he lead you to Chris’ second assistant

Chris’ second PA met you “y/n! He’s going to be so happy to see you, he’s been looking forward to it all week” you smiled and giggled “so have I, is he filming right now? I don’t want to interrupt him” she shook her head “no he has the next few scenes off, I’ll take you to him!”

She walked you down the beach until the resort they built for the movie came into view “oh wow that’s incredible” his PA nodded “right? Set design did such a wonderful job” you both continued walking just past the resort when she pointed “he’s right over there” you smiled and thanked her and when you turned your head and got a good look at your husband your eyes widened and jaw dropped. You blinked a few times just to make sure the man you were blatantly staring at was your husband.

He noticed you and with a brilliant smile on his face he ran over towards you and scooped you right up “oh I missed you pretty bird”. He pulled back and kissed you but soon he noticed you were oddly quiet “are you alright? Did anything happen?” You felt nervous and you didn’t really know why, he was your husband why should you feel nervous. You started stuttering “I umm..just ah..huh?” He laughed “are you okay?” You opened your mouth to answer but more stuttering started so you just closed your mouth an nodded. ‘What the fuck?’ You thought.

He started nodding in realization “it’s the look isn’t it? I recognize that stuttering pretty bird” he smirked “you like the hair and the beard..you think I’m hot” your cheeks heated and in defiance you shook your head no. He laughed “then say it out loud with out stuttering and I’ll believe you”

You tried but you couldn’t because he was right. You loved this look on him, the long hair, the fuller beard, the tanned skin..your mind trailed off to a not so innocent place so you shook yourself out of it. He nodded “oh I’m keeping this for a while” he put his hands on your hips and pulled you in. You wrapped your arms around his neck as he lifted you, both getting completely lost in each other.

He set you back down “we could sneak off to my room? I have the next few hours off before they need me” you nodded and he quickly grabbed your hand and ran off with you right to his room. He shut the door once you both were inside and you looked around for a moment “this is your room? It’s nice” he came up behind you “technically it’s my character Ari’s room but yeah it’s mine” he turned you around and kissed you again.

His kisses moved from your lips, to your jaw, then to your neck. He started trailing his hands underneath your tank top. He started biting and sucking on the sweet spot on your neck that he knew would drive you crazy. You quietly giggled “you’re not going to get in trouble for this are you spangles?”

He lifted his head and cocked an eyebrow “spangles? Now that’s a nickname I haven’t heard in a while”. You wrapped your arms around his neck and ran your fingers through the hair on the nape of his neck “I thought you liked when I called you spangles?” He smirked and he leaned down to tug on your earlobe and whisper “yeah but I like it better when you call me daddy”

Your head fell back at that and a quiet groan escaped you. He took that as confirmation to continue. He worked the tank you were wearing off and started tugging your denim shorts down. He walked you backwards toward the bed and gently pushed you on it. You laid back and he left open mouthed kisses down your body. You moaned “fucking hell chris”.

He lifted his head up and smirked “better be quiet princess, we don’t want anyone hearing us”. He worked his clothes off and soon he was pushing inside you, the come back you had for him right on the tip of your tongue rolled to the back of your mind as he rocked all the way into you. His strokes were long, slow, deep and purposeful. He wanted to take his time with you.

He hovered over you, arms strong as his palms pressed into the bed beside your chest. The gentle snap of his hips into yours continued, the slowness making your walls feel every inch of him. You thought the feeling of him couldn’t get any better but then his hips sped up, and you couldn’t hold back the strangulated Fuck that escaped your mouth.

You gripped his arms, the muscles taut as he used his thighs to push your knees closer to your chest, the angle felt absolutely delicious and allowed him to go even deeper. He bit his lip as he slowed down for a few strokes then sped up again, the changing gyration of his hips getting you closer and closer to the end. Then you felt it, the coil in your stomach getting ready to snap. He felt it too, your walls coating him even more as they began to pulse, gripping him, then letting him go only to grip him again.

“It’s okay pretty bird, I’ve got you. Let go.” His words were like a trigger. As you came, your back arched, a throaty moan falling from your mouth. He continued to move, riding the pulsing wave as your walls grabbed him and pulled him over the edge with you, a vulnerable groan shooting past his lips into your ear. He thrusted into you twice more before his hips stilled

“That’s my good girl,” he said, brushing your hair away from your face as you panted and shuddered involuntarily, trying to regain your composure. He kissed your forehead “you okay baby?” You took a few more deep breaths “yeah-“ you smiled “I’m good” he leaned down and gave you a soft, slow and sensual kiss. “I missed you” you cupped his face in between your hands “I missed you too”

You both went three more rounds after that and now you were just laying together with you head on his chest as he gently ran his hand up and down your side “how’re the kids doing?” “Good, they miss you. They’re upset that they couldn’t come.” He laughed “and let me guess, Ryan tried asking if he was off from being grounded while staying at my moms?” You nodded “mhmm” He shook his head “he’s persistent, I’ll give him that”

There was a soft knock on the door and a voice on the other side “hey Chris? Turns out you’re needed back on set a bit earlier”

Chris sighed and looked down at you as you looked up at him “sorry pretty bird” you leaned up and gave him a soft kiss “you can make it up to me later” he nodded “I promise I will”

I wanted to give Hazel and Cara special designs inspired by the piqua mystery dungeon AU (which then turned into an excuse to see Cara with a different ponytail than in canon ACIT and Hazel in a cardigan).

Details and a bonus under the cut.

Since the creator of the au made Melvinborg a Duosion and Cash a Floatzel, I made Hazel a Ribombee (you know, a Pokemon that's a fairy type, so that it would make more sense for someone as rich as Cash to hang around with her) and Cara a Poipole (because it evolves into a dragon type, as a nod to the dragon theme that was being used with Moxie. site note, it took an absurdly long time to figure out what species she should be).

Hazel was much easier to design than Cara herself, thankfully. I gave Hazel a brown and yellow dress, black Mary Janes, and white socks which have brown ribbons to match the one on her head and bow tie (note: the ribbon on Hazel's head is pink to match Melvinborg's bow tie in the AU). Also, a cute white cardigan because she deserves it :)

Hazel still travels back in time in the PMD AU. But because ACIT Hazel travelled back in time to get rid of Melvinborg, who's her brother, and I don't think a Ribombee would have been angry enough to do that to a Duosion, it's not on purpose here.

Now for Cara… Hoo boy, where do we even start with this girl's design?

Her hair scrunchie was the bane of my existence… WHAT THE FUCK WAS I THINKING GIVING HER THAT HAIR SCRUNCHIE?! On a more humorous note, her hair scrunchie’s color palette of teal fits with Cara's personality of being calm and collected, sweet, and shy.

Apologies for giving Poipole!Cara a boringly same as canon ACIT shirt (but pink), but I couldn't think of any good shirts for Poipole!Cara.

Honestly? I think I had fun with her skirt. Well while brainstorming for ideas, I found this skirt and the moment I did, I knew I had to use it for Poipole!Cara. It just perfectly fits her flavour of "calm, shy, cute girl."

Her tights and Mary Janes… I had fun with them. They're in pastel colors, because... WOW, the anime and USUM really upped the saturation the first time it was drawing Poipole, huh?

Hazel and Cara's lesbian romance is now even more tragic, because Cara's a poison type and… you can do the math.

Since today marks the one month anniversary of ACIT, I just had to show you these bonus ones: Hazel if she was in tetocu23.

Hazel's gonna be a detective girl in this theoretical reboot. Hazel loves a mystery. She likes to read detective novels, and fancies herself as Piqua's version of Sherlock Holmes.

She's still Aro af but more open about it. I lightened her eyes and hair a bit and gave her a pastel strawberry hairband (and kept her trademark freckles, because they were kind of needed).

Hazel's tetocu23 design is primarily based on movie Melvin's design (hence the sweater vest and yellow bow tie), with some influences from book Melvin and a little bit of the show Melvin design.

She travels back in time to solve the mystery of Endenemys.

Because she's so quiet, people tend to forget she's there. But her Private Hazel persona is competitive, proactive, and determined (in a positive way for self-improvement).

TETOCU23 Hazel is also part of a DID system, you see. Thankfully, this DID is not gonna be her whole character.

tetocu23!Hazel still sounds like Crackle from Sofia the First. BECAUSE MY VOICE CLAIM IS STILL ELLIE KEMPER LOL

Hazel is still in a lesbian romance with Cara but i think i'm gonna wait until her tetocu23 design for that.

Hi 💕 thanks for thinking of me.

Well, this is a tough question, because the answer changes so much! I used to really love Color and Light, and I still love it conceptually, but for some reason my brain has now decided it’s bad? Huh. Don’t know what’s going on there.

As far as finished stories are concerned, one of my absolute faves is definitely Gaining Heart, for Spartacus (nagron). I feel such a strong attachment to it, I associate it with some great memories of my life at a time when I really felt like I was in my home. Which is funny, considering that I was actually pretty depressed and disgruntled during the process 😂 The style is strong and suits the show/material, the characters are consistent and in character, and the payoff is so cathartic. I’m so so proud of that story.

Another one is the To Be Human series for The Old Guard. Those three stories were some of my first in the fandom, and they were the character studies that launched my love for the characters. Those stories are rereads when I’m feeling low.

OH MY GOD AND THE BABY GUARD STORIES. Gentle and The Plea of Cepheus. I have never cried that hard while writing a story. So much love for my tiny little guys.

Another Hundred People is also so so very beloved. I love humans and I love New York and I love people that subvert expectations and veer on the side of kindness.

I loved the kes-verse. I still love the kes-verse, and I will never not. One day I will edit and rewrite, and I will finish the series. Not at any planned time, but ONE DAY.

These are just a little sampling of stories I love— I tried to stick to the finished ones, which are few and far between for me 😅😅😅 but I’m finally rediscovering my love for writing, and I think I’m finally getting it together (as if I haven’t said that a billion times).

Wow! I’ve been pretty down on my writing for a long while— about a year now— and it’s been hard to look back on things lately. But going through these old stories makes me feel so accomplished. Writing this all out felt really good! Thanks for asking me to play 💕

Reading through His Dark Materials (Book 2) 1/2 (Chapters 1 to 9)

Let's keep reading vol 2 of His Dark Materials (the books and saga have completely different names in France lmao)

I read the 1st book in a day, during my first year at university, during classes. It was, like, 3-4 years ago. I read a bit of the first chapter of Book 2 back in September but didn't continue. I'm doing this right now.

So Will meets "Lyra", whose Daemon is named "Pantalaimon"... like Book 1 Lyra. But she can't be Lyra, right? OG Lyra? I remember she followed her father back at the end of Book 1, but... Hmm... I didn't remember Lyra being so wild and like, not knowing how to cook. Huh. *grumbles* But she doesn't have the same surname...

...Is she Lyra's evil twin?

(don't answer questions by the way, it's mostly for myself)

...AND SHE HAS THE ALITHIOMETER.

And she thinks about Iorek (aka the cute big bear). I guess she's Lyra. Huh. Hmm.

(I have to say the town description made me think of Lurelin Village in BOTW, I had the music in my head reading those parts)

CH2

Serafina Pekkala is a lesbian. I feel like she is. She's part of the Lobby. *sees mention of big snuggly ferocious polar bears* god i need a bear... Fra Pavel was mentioned in the first book, right? I remember that name. Mrs Coulter says that Lyra was "conceived in sin and born in shame", what does that mean exactly...

Is the thing with the tree branch something that happened before? Doesn't ring a bell. Huh. (Edit: Yep. It's mentioned at the council later in the chapter. Nice.)

Anyway, Mrs Coulter obviously sucks but I always forget how cruel she is. It was a violent scene. Philip Pullman didn't seem to pull many punches, writing these books.

Lord Asriel's butler "knows him better than any woman ever could"... They fucked. Lord Asriel is an god-killing bicon. We stan! We stan so much! He's done nothing wrong ever.

So Lord Asriel really fucks, huh? Mrs Coulter, Ruta Skadi, Thorold... Okay, so Lyra's other surname was given to her by Iorik. I guess I can definitely conclude both Lyras are the same characters. Yay!

Ruta mentions circumcision and wow, Pullman really has *beef* with some people... Love it for him.

CH3

It's actually fascinating seeing Will and Lyra interact. Of course she'd look at him weird for suggesting she'd wear jeans...

CH4 (this is the moment I switched from The Matrix score to The Fast and the Furious, it's just a fun tidbit, don't question it)

Quick question/theory: Is John Parry (Will's dad) Lord Asriel? Maybe he found a window to change world and couldn't get back, but that would have certainly motivated him to find a way back, and it would have inspired him to seek other words, and thus question the Church, etc. It would create an interesting parralel between Asriel and Will. I hope Lyra gets to see a picture of the dude and exclaim "Wait a minute...". WAIT, ACTUALLY, THAT WOULD EXPLAIN WHY PEOPLE WERE MEDDLING WITH WILL'S LIFE. Omg. I should reread the first chapter... *does exactly that* Hmm. Intriguing.

I wonder if those "ha those things are exactly the same in both worlds" (the initials engraved in the stones, what Lyra sees at the museum) are supposed to be hints, or just coincidences, as in, "some things find a way to happen regardless of obstacles" or if I'm supposed to imagine that both worlds resonate so much that they corrupt each other in some way.

(side note: the first F&F score is surprisingly good?)

I was hoping the old guy spying on Lyra would be an ally, but he's described as having penetrating eyes, a pointy tongue, and the word "rot/putrefaction" is mentioned. (I'm reading in French so when I cite the text, it might not be accurate, but if you've read the book you'll know what I mean.)

I'm starting to wonder what's the goal of the alithiometer. Obviously, it has some sort of conscience; is it truly trying to help Lyra? It seems, you know, magical. Godly. Are we going to meet its creator? I mean, if it's G-man, probably at some point, right? Anyway, Lyra, please read the old guy's card. I'm curious to know his name and stuff. Anyway, if the alitiomether is guiding Lyra to help her find John Parry, aka Will's dad, aka possibly Lord Asriel, does that mean the alithiometer is on his side? Well, maybe not. Huh.

I find it interesting that Lyra adopted the name given to her by Iorik. Anyway, Pullman throwing shade at the underfunding of researchers, we love to see it.

I wonder if the Dr. Malone will stay Lyra's ally for long, I got a bad feeling...

The archeologist is raising my "WILL'S DAD IS LORD ASRIEL" flag even higher. Or maybe "the physician". In both cases, I'm convinced John is linked to Lord Asriel. Okay, maybe this is more likely. I'll keep both theories. Was the reporter the old guy that Lyra met at the museum? ...Or one of Will's agressors. That works too.

At this point, I'm begging Will and Lyra to use the documents they have in their possession; Will his father's writing case, and Lyra the old man's card. Anyway, I'm pretty sure the attorney is about to die.

CH5 (we're now listening to Norn9's videogame score)

Lyra and Will's methods of being discreet both have merits.

(I'm annoyed that Norn9's main theme only appears on the main menu; it lasts almost 6 minutes, is pretty great, but you only hear 10 5 seconds of it if you play normally. But I much prefer the next track.)

The cat can't lick its own ear now, can it? ...Can it? Anyway, Will's finally reading the letters!!!!!

After reading them (and finishing the chapter)... Hmm. This man does not sound like Lord Asriel. Huh. I hope Will and John get to be reunited.

CH6

Oh. That's where I'm realizing I kind of don't care about Lee Scoresby but... sure.

A witch wanted to be the dude's wife? She must have been pretty horny.

I was pretty uninterested at first, but the Magisterium planting men in research stations? Now, that's juicy! AND HE ATTACKS LEE?! OH MY GOD OK.

Maybe Grummann's a zombie. I saw that word-drop earlier!! I noticed it!!!!!

Anyway. This infodump is so interesting. Side note: While in English, Book 2 is called The Subtle Knife, in French it's called La Tour des Anges--the tower of angels. So we got a namedrop. Huh. Maybe what the philosophers used to open worlds was said subtle knife?

So Lord Asriel creating a passage between worlds fucked over Citagazze and its world. Huh.

I feel like Ruta is gonna die. Please don't die, I like you.

CH7 (Now listening to La La Land Records's release of the Spider-Man 1 score)

Nooooo give me Ruta back, I need to see her encounter with Lord Asriel...!

Narratively speaking, removing the alitiomether from Lyra's hands is great because it was starting to become a bit of a cheat code (though I wasn't complaining about it).

Is the book going to end with Will finding his dad? Would be a nice parallel.

So the card... wasn't especially enlightening to me. Oh well. According to Google Reviews, Limefield House has very comfortable beds! Oh but wait, it's situated in Livingston. The one in Headington is strictly fictional. Google Maps does indicate roughly an hour to go from the center of Oxford to Headington so I guess Pullman knew the area pretty well.

GOD. I was planning to stop this reading session but this got so interesting.

You know what this reminds me of? Ulysse Moore. *nobody reacts because nobody has read those books* Well I have! The first 9 books, I believe. Began with volume 6, then read them all in order. It got really aimless with 7, if you ever decide to read them, stop after 6, it offers a nice conclusion. ANYWAY. DOORS TO OTHER WORLDS. KEYS. SECRETS. PEOPLE WITH FORBIDDEN KNOWLEDGE. SECRET CLUBS. I'm just now getting why I was thinking of this series this whole time.

Pantalaimon turns into a bear and I swoon <3 Bears <3 <3 <3

I didn't expect such violence, but I remember Iorik's fight in the first book being pretty harsh too. Anyway, Dancing with the Bears just turned into friggin' Saw.

This book is gonna end with Will creating a passage to the land of God or whatever with the knife after having found his father. I'm not sure yet on whether Will's dad will die or not.

Oh, Pullman is shipping Lyra and Will. Okay. Sure.

I feel like the Specters are an allegory for the climate change.

Y'all really had me believing that Marvel ruins the work of perfectly good directors, huh? Bullshit. Ryan Coogler has shown twice that when you're creative, smart, and respect your source material you will consistently make beautiful, fun, thoughtful, and funny movies.

As always, I applaud you Ryan Coogler for being one of the only decent creators in Marvel.

Chris Hemsworth, please, honestly GO FUCK YOURSELF. LMAO.

Okay, so, listen, this is honestly going to be the last I ever talk about this, but the fact that I've been proven right about this jackasses involvement in this whole affair has got me laughing!

In 2017, or the year previous, who the fuck knows, Chris Hemsworth got his friend, Taika Waititi to direct Thor 3. Thor Ragnarok, which heavily diverged from the cinematography and the lore of the previous two Thor movies. Chris Hemsworth decided Thor was too boring. He didn't like playing him anymore. He wanted to play someone new and fun. He wanted to play himself. And he got just that.

I'll give Ragnarok enough credit, that aye, I might be fooled into thinking there was some interest the title character. But after Love and Thunder? No, now I know I've been fooled into watching a costume party by Chris Hemsworth, his family, and his friends. Ding ding ding! What do we have here, Johnny?

A bottom tier celebrity making a franchise that not only was all about him - his character, but all about him!!! He's playing himself!

His daughter at the end of Thor: Love and Thunder, is his daughter in real life (she's cute, no diss). His two sons played younger versions of him. His wife was a wolf woman he made out with! His best friends Matt fucking Damon and Taika Waititi both star in the role and the latter directs it.

I'm sorry, but at what fucking point did I sign up for a lazy written fanfiction? Because that's sure as hell not what I thought would happen in Thor 1 or 2, or Avengers. And you know, I am still mad, because I enjoyed the OG Thor, I enjoyed the OG Loki, and Marvel and, wow, did it not pay off.

Alas, it's on me for watching any new Thor films (aye, listen, I gotta family here!), but I just wanted to tell anyone who ever said Thor is a walking self insert nowadays. You are completely and utterly spot on.

Banana Fish (ep. 2, 9, 11, 24)

HUH?! I thought this was a BL anime but apparently it isn't? Everyone on every social media platform said this was BL but it seems that it just has implications of these boys liking each other romantically, but not actually. I feel like a lot of animes do this - a guy admires another guy, seemingly romantically but not. I think this is due to the more conservative side of Japan, but I do not want to generalize. I guess a lot of people kind of forced this idea about these characters, or it just seems like the way they talk about each other seems like a love story.

One thing I do not like about this anime is the amount of perversion. It is good that the perverts were portrayed in a disgusting light, and I think that it raises awareness towards how people pervert and eroticize homosexuality and how wrong it is. However, there was also a lot of sexualization of the characters by the artists/animators when it was not necessary. For example, they way they were dressed, the skin exposed at times, their positions, etc. I think that while the anime was trying to convey how immoral perversion is, the characters were still sexualized. This is another thing that I often see in anime: the creators trying to take a stance against something but then indirectly doing what they were against. Actually, I should not just direct this to anime because a lot of different kinds of media does this. I wrote about this in my essay for Zom 100, because the animators, I believe, took a stance against sexualization of women; however, the camera angles and clothing choices made by the animators/artists/creators say otherwise. I think that there needs to be more care and consideration put into delivering messages and the way that they are done so.

Also, I am pretty confused as to what Ash's and Eiji's relationship was though. Like how did they meet and why did they hit it off? I think that the first episode probably established that but I do not want to have to look it up. Anyway, it was interesting how Ash saved Eiji and not his best friend - like how valuable is Eiji to Ash? I also do not really understand the relationship between Ash and that old man that owned him but then saved him in the end? Perhaps I got the characters confused? If someone reblogs this, please explain!

Anyway, I knew that Banana Fish was sad, because people often talk about how they cry because of this anime, but wow, that was quite a depressing ending. I had already cried from watching Grey's and One Tree Hill today, so this was just the cherry on top. The intro to the last episode almost foreshadowed what was going to happen. It seemed like a lot of memories that Ash had flashes across the screen, specifically his relationships, just like how your memories replay in your mind when you die, so I could tell just from the intro that Ash would pass away. In episode 9 or 11 (I cannot remember which), someone also called Eiji Ash's achilles heel, conveying how Ash (or someone) would die. I cannot believe Eiji does not even know about his death, expecting to see him again. As sad as it is that Eiji and Ash could not be together, I am glad that Ash died in that library (I mean, it is traumatizing for whoever finds his dead body), because that was where he was away from all the violence and the killing (the aspect of himself that he disliked). He got to be the person he wanted to be when he died - peaceful and loved.

In the end, I like the message about how people can be so different, yet when you really think about it, we are all the same. No matter what race, gender, career, etc., although we may have different experiences of cultures, we are all human beings that want to be loved, to love, and to be happy.

Lady Dahlia for the meme?

Lady Dahlia is a character I have never really given much thought of! It’s been a while since I last played Curious Village so let's see what I can come up with!

Favourite thing about them: I suppose the tragedy in her character? And with how much her existence is defined by other people she still gets kind of left alone? I mean she was literally made to replace Viola, and when that then upset the Baron, her personality was changed. And when she met and immediately terrified Flora, she was pushed away by both of them. She couldn't really fulfil the role she was made for, but continued to exist in both of their lives, if just to haunt Viola's family, or to be haunted by Viola's memories herself. She cares about Flora, a care that she had probably no choice in, and in the end of CV lets the last reason for why she even existes go, just like all the other robots let Flora go. Because she loves Flora. Because all the robots in the Village were built to love Flora. Because the village and its people were built to be left by Flora one day. The tragic difference is that one of the robots wears the face of Viola.

Least favourite thing about them: The more I think about it, the more I wish we could have gotten some more info about the relationships between the Reinholds. Like did Baron and Flora just avoid Dahlia?? The entire time?? (Now that I type it out wow that can be a parallel to Flora's fate in the series huh) And what's up with the other relatives? Are they based off of actual people too?

brOTP: Uhhh at least she has Claudia? With the way she is presented in the game I imagine she has a hard time making friends.

OTP: I don’t ship her with anybody, but when I think about it, Baron/Dahlia could be super interesting if you focus on Baron’s inability to properly grieve (robo wife), his disregard for Dahlia's feelings (he literally calls her “a thing” and “It” I think??), and the complete control he has over her (he has already changed her personality once, theoretically he could have done so again). In a darker narrative Baron could basically insist that everythings fine, while Dahlia could have her agency programmed away at any point and only have “dreams” left that could give her just an inkling of the truth. It sounds incredibly toxic, and would lend itself incredibly well for a horror story from Dahlia’s or Flora's perspective.

nOTP: I don’t even know if it exists but obviously Dahlia/Flora, but besides that Baron/Dahlia if the narrative that depicts it completely glosses over what makes it unhealthy I guess?

Random headcanon: To be a perfect copy of his late wife, Baron insisted that even her imperfections are immortalised in Lady Dahlia, including things such as minor injuries or scars that never truly faded. It later leads to Flora feeling disgusted by the attention to detail (as well as other thoughts that crop up when your father builds an indistinguishable copy of a person and wondering if he would ever do the same to you without you even knowing (I really, really want to try this oneshot one day…)). It also leads to Dahlia looking at a scar in the crook of her arm. A scar that has existed for as long as she could remember. She can't remember how she got it, it's in a circular shape, not something Claudia could have caused. It doesn't really matter, she thinks, and buries unimportant dreams of exhaustion and a crying girl in the depths of her mind. It's barely visible and her shawl covers it anyway.

Unpopular opinion: I honestly don't even know the popular opinions of her. I guess I like that she is a major character who is mainly rude? A lot / most major women in the series are nice/pleasant people for the most part, so as an exception to the rule it makes her character stand out?

Song I associate with them: Uhhhhhhhh Reinhold Manor from the soundtrack?

Honestly girl go live beyond what your creators have intended for you to be. Live your best widow life, pet your cat, do some cool robot shit.

Anyway this was fun! I wouldn't have guessed that I would write so much about Dahlia, but there is a lot that could be explored with her!
