i just can't relate to people who want the targaryens to look like models bc in my mind they look like gods which i consider to be a very very different vibe and one that emma d'arcy in particular just encapsulates perfectly

I’ve seen a few posts pointing out how stampede vash lacks the anger that 98 and especially trimax vash has. Which is true.
And it is important. Because vash isn’t the too morally strong or good or kind to be angry or whatever. Vash has a lot of rage about a lot of things. he chooses to be kind despite it rather than not being angry at all.
His sheer determination to not give into anger and choosing kindness over and over again is very important to who he is.
(personally I think that while tristamp vash went through a lot already too, he simply has not quite reached that point)
What I haven’t really seen are post pointing out that stampede vash, unlike 98 and trimax vash, does not cry.
Vash cries a lot. Some of it is for the comedy and because he is dramatic like that and also he isn’t above trying to get pity that way (with little success lol).
But he also cries a lot just… because. I don’t know how to explain it.
Like vash has no shame or inhibition to cry when that’s what he feels. Not gonna lie, I know trimax mostly from spoilers so far (shame on me) but especially in 98 vash cries very freely. He cries when he thinks he will have to watch that ex-mob boss or whatever being shot. Cries after killing, cries after monev kills all these people and he wants to shot him but wont. And so so many more.
Like that time he just suddenly drops his donuts and cries in the middle of the street.
Vash is friendly and sociable on a surface level but he has cut himself off from so much. Keeps so many things on the inside. Crying seems the one thing he doesn’t hold back on. Maybe his only genuine outlet for the pain.
Vash hides his scars, his pain and much more but he never hides his tears.
Vash, in 98 even says ‘is there something wrong with that?’ when the kids note that he is crying despite being an adult.
In contrast to that, stampede vash never really cries. He even states that he doesn’t deserve to.
We see him shed tears just once, at the very end when it becomes clear to him that he can’t save nai and that his brother and him have grown so far apart that he barely recognizes him anymore. He sheds silent tears for nai, for them, at what he certainly believed to be the very end.
Stampede vash is not only a lot more timid than his counterpart but seems overall more repressed and and emotionally dulled/exhausted

What really fucks me up about the God of War series is that if you've been playing the games since the beginning, you've gotten used to the frantic button mashing of the original games. You've ripped heads off. You've torn legs off. You've felt as if you were gouging someone's eyes out when you pressed down on the joysticks. Every rumble of the controller gave you this violent, satisfying feedback.
Then you get to the new games and the violence is still there, yes, but also tenderness. You get to hug your son. You get to pet wolves. you swipe your finger on the controller to help your late wife paint markers of protection on trees.
There's something truly special about feeling Kratos' character progression through your touch. Something unique to the medium of video games.

dreaming about vampires who were buried with someone else. family graves, plague pits, random people in random plots. all ive been thinking about is vampires who wake up in the graves staring into the eyesockets of a real corpse. vampires who wake up in the rotting arms of the peace they werent aloud to find.

I love how vulnerable Cleo seemed about asking Frankie to go with her to the Monster Ball. Her soft “really?” when Frankie said they had planned on asking out Cleo? Like she was happy but also so surprised that Frankie would want to ask out *her.* I just love how her false confidence is emphasized I don’t know.

A lot of people critique things not for what they are, but for what they aren’t. For example, a lot of the THG criticisms usually boils down to ‘it’s not radical enough’, ‘it ended with both sides bad’, ‘it sets a bad precedent for how to fight oppression’, ‘it had a lukewarm liberal take on anti-oppression’.
The issue here is that the people with these critiques are approaching the books as if they were meant to give a step by step guide for how to lead a revolution, how to fight against oppression. The books were never meant to be discourse on anti-oppression; they were anti-war.

okay so here are my thoughts:
nigel colbie wakes alex up in the middle of the night, he takes him to the train and they head to his house together. nigel brings something along with him, besides his unwilling boyfriend classmate; a brownish-black bag/case that looks to be empty or hardly full.
Tumblr media
i couldn’t remember before whether or not he ended up taking the bag with him any further, but he clearly did.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
he takes it inside the house and leaves it in his parents basement (which was odd to me because i figured that he would put it in the crawl space along with the rest of his weird little tools), leading me to believe he was just borrowing it in the first place, but what for? i thought maybe he’d taken it with him on his journey to liberate Josh’s hand but i can’t think of any logical way he would’ve actually been able to accomplish that. The main goal here was obviously bringing alex to his house and dropping the bag off in the process, not the other way around, but i’m more than willing to believe that he was indeed putting something else in his crawlspace and just left the bag there for the time being. That brings me back to my first question, what was he using the bag for?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
we also never see the bag again (to my knowledge), the only think remotely close to it would be the case that alex was hauling around at the end of the film that nigel’s head was in. which is either an odd parallel or i’m reading too much into a plot point that Read left there mindlessly (which is more than likely the case)

The dream team house is flourishing and seeing all the snapchats of them hanging out there is like watching a little nature documentary, like: yes, they are in their natural habitat and they're thriving, look at them go :)

One of my favorite things about cablepool is that Wade is not a twink. He's 6'2, has muscles for days, and by all means should never ever be called a twink, but Nate is just so fucking big. This doesn't extend to just their physical appearances. Wade's a drama queen, we all know that, but next to Nate's bullshit? Well he almost looks down right normal. Wade's a smart guy, even if he likes to pretend he's not, but Nate is consistently playing 4d chess with his opponents like every other day. Hell even their weapons. Wade has a lot of guns, a lot, but none of them are ever as big as Nate's Big Ass Gun.
All this to say I firmly believe that Nathan Summers would 100% be pettier than Wade Wilson and enact over-the-line revenge on people for the most miniscule of reasons. Whether Wade decides to stop him or not is based entirely on his mood that day and how many shits he gives about Nate's newest victim. And also whether Nate's even in the same time period.

I think if Obi-wan was a woman Anakin would have a harder time Falling, if he Fell at all.
Not because this changes anything about Obi-wan, but because Anakin ‘He’s the closest thing I have to a father’ Skywalker, would see a woman trying to raise him and go ‘oh like a mom. I love mom.’
Nothing changes in regards to Obi-wan’s treatment of Anakin, but Ani isn’t putting this nebulous title of ‘Father’ to him, but the concrete ‘Mother’,
if anyone Palpatine tried to pit Ani against Obi-wan he would be like ‘But that’s Mom. Moms say no to fun things sometimes. Mom on Tatooine almost didn’t let me pod race, and that’s the best. I love mom’
