Me: Vibing with a movie adaptation I'm watching purely because it is inaccurate and barely recognizable from the plot of the books.
Movie: Slams the exact same ending as the books into the last part.
Me: "wtf? What was the point of setting up this whole world and plot like a fan fiction if you're just going to cram in the tragic ending? At least commit to the bit."

Smaugust Day 23 Light
"Another Night Fury"
"No, not quite. It's more like a Bright... Fury."
"A Light Fury." - Astrid and Hiccup discovering the Light fury
I loved making the Light Fury's design for this Day! to add the color variants so she can look semi-camouflaged, I think her white scales blend in with the clouds and the blue variant blends in with the sky :D I do honestly love the concept art and original Light Fury Design since they are unique ^^

I just rewatched how to train your dragon after years, and I have so many thoughts/feelings I want to share, so bare with me.
First of all: how come night furies went extinct?? Something about this doesn't make sense, because first they say that this dragon is the unholy offspring of lightning and death itself, that there's no information about him on the book of dragons because no one who saw one lived to tell the details. I mean, the movie makes it seem like out of all the giant, sharp, explosive dragons in the world, the night furies are the most dangerous of all; so how come every single one of them were killed??
How come they managed to kill almost an entire species of the most dangerous dragon in the world, but couldn't figure how to get rid of all the other "normal" dragons??
At first I thought, maybe it's just a Berk problem. Maybe the book of dragons doesn't have any info on night furies because no one in Berk have seen one and survived. But it's not like Berk is completely isolated from the rest of the world. In the second movie we see that Stoick used to gather around with other chiefs, so we know that there's a connection between Berk and other tribes, and we see that in the series as well. So I think that if other people were able to see and kill a nigh furie, the word would travel and they would definitely value the information about a beast they so desperately want to get rid of, yk?
So it makes me think, who the hell killed all of the night furies in the world and didn't share the info on how to kill them? Who wouldn't even brag about killing the most dangerous dragon of all???

Ok so we know in How To Train Your Dragon that Toothless is the only night fury. We also know that the Hidden World is the home of the dragons AND that Vanaheim is their last resting place if you have seen Race to the Edge. But how come in both there was no sign of a single night fury or resting of a night fury. How come Dagger's dad didn't have a single piece of info on them? Like if the Hidden world was so hard to find wouldn't there have been more Night fury's that escaped Grimmel by going to the Hidden world.
What I'm thinking is that maybe there is a resting place for just Night Fury's and that they have their owl little world. I know there are fanfictions out there that kinda have this theory and I kinda like it.
What are your thoughts?

Httyd Deathgripper HCs!!! (Bc they’re like one of my favorite dragon)
(Most of these are supported by their wiki)
-They are very accurate when shooting their acid and saving it, but due to being extremely drugged by Grimmel, they are constantly eaither making to much, or not enough, throwing up way to much, making their aim very messy.
-Closely related to the triple stryke
-They love flight and are extremely strong, and can fly for longs periods of time, which is why they are able to care Grimmels airship around
-When sleeping, they tuck all their legs in, like a loaf cat
-They can mimic birds and other animals to mask their movements when hunting
-Female Deathgrippers eat their mates during mating season to ensure their eggs mature faster, due to Deathgrippers having a cannibalistic nature
-They hunt in packs and play with their prey
-Deathgrippers are extremely hard to train, better to start when they are young, so they think you are their mother. Of course you can train an adult, perhaps by earning trust by saving its life
-Deathgrippers don’t originate in the archipelago, given Grimmels accent (Russian) then they problem are native to Europe or Russia
