This is going to be a silly confession because I genuinely feel this topic is a dead horse, but my concern is of the mental health of stans in this aprt of the Internet, so here it goes. Some solo Tom fans are not really fans of who he is, but what they want him to be.

There is a blog who I dont want to mention cause I feel that they are entitled to their opinions, who seem very frustrated that Tom is allegedly doing SM4 and that fans aren't outraged with the fact his career isn't being steamrolled into prestige cinema outside the machine of MCU.

These fans are similar to CE fans, no shade.

I can understand the frustration cause Chris Evans fans also were in annoyance with the state of his career, post MCU. Chris Evans fans also hate his wife too so there's that, lol. Some Tom fans dislike the fact that he is just with Z and has no identity outside of it other than being a bf. Valid to some degree.

Now, let's bring some reality back into this. Stans need to understand that they don't know what Tom doing behind the scenes. They don't know what's in his head or his personal feelings. That tweet I linked was a very good observation in Stan culture cause some fans genuinely believe that Tom's accomplishments and actions are linked to them. It's a scary position to be cause now you are on the Internet spewing negativity towards tomdayas or anyone who celebrates their relationship and are in bubble cause you all lack nuance.

To be fair, Tom isn't taken seriously as an actor. Him doing a play is the best way to be taken seriously cause the theatre is the actors medium. He signed to do a 4th film for the MCU. You can't blame anyone but him for that. He's grown and is gonna do what he wants. If you don't like it, unstan. There are plenty of yt male actors who are doing prestigious films and Oscar buzz films to stan. The thing is you can't cause let's be honest we all love Tom and there's something about him that you can't help but root for.

He likes pics of Z, he even likes pics where he's just the photographer for Z. He lives tomdayas pics. He personally loves that role.

You have to meet ppl where they are at not what you want them to be. You have these high standards for a stranger, I can only imagine what you expect for ppl in your everyday life. Probably more leniency.

Pls stan culture is meant to be fun!!! Don't internalise or jump into conclusions or conspiracy due to what you don't know. Judge want you actually know through facts. And get help if you need it.💜

First of all...Whew! Those tweets! WOW! Can I say? Completely, 100% agree. 👏🏾 This is what is at the crux of stan culture and social media addiction, and celebrity obsession.

I agree. I think there are SOME fans of Tom who are truly genuinely fans of his, but they want his career to look a different way, or to be what THEY want it to be, instead of just letting go of control, being a passive fan, and allowing his career to be whatever it's going to be.

One thing about me is that I'm usually a passive fan of whoever I'm a fan of. While I would love my faves to do certain roles, I'm not out here getting angry or upset if they aren't doing roles that I personally would love to see them do. I just go with the flow. I'm happy whenever I hear of a new project announcement for one of my faves, and I let things go!

First off, everyone is entitled to their own opinions.... With that said, maybe Tom has already done "prestigious cinema" as a younger guy, and now he wants to do more of a variety of roles. Did that thought ever occur to people?

Okay.... I'm sorry, but I have to vent here for a second.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's cute, adorable, and lovely that Tom is so supportive of Z, and some of the cute things they do in their relationship is just really adorable and makes us all believe in love again. 🥰

The PROBLEM that I'm seeing though is that Tom isn't autonomous from his relationship and his career. It's cool that fans want to stan Tom because of his cute "boyfriend" behaviors, but Tom is first and FOREMOST an A-C-T-O-R. An actor should be admired for their career and their WORK, NOT their relationship. The relationship is just the icing on the cake (imo). 🤷🏾‍♀️

I think the problem is that some stans are mainly associating Tom with his relationship, and aren't really giving credit to his career and his work. That's demoralizing imo. Any actor that you are a fan of should be admired primarily because of their work. Who they are as a person, and any "boyfriend" behavior is like secondary and just icing on the cake imo. Granted, you're not going to be a "stan" over every good actor out here, and I get it. But Tom isn't some "TV Personality" or "reality star" or "influencer". So his relationship shouldn't be taking precedence over his acting career imo. He's an ACTOR first and foremost. Jmho. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I'm sorry, but I wholeheartedly disagree with this. Tom IS taken seriously in the industry as an actor. He wouldn't have gotten the role in "Cherry", "TCR", "TDATT", Romeo & Juliet, or be considered by Sam Mendes for "1917" if he weren't taken seriously as an actor in Hollywood. He wouldn't have been nominated for a Critic's Choice Award this year if he weren't.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but some of you all really need to get off of FilmBro Twitter and come back to reality.

In regards to the whole chicken parm thing, larries are (again) really showing which one of them they actually like. I don't even understand how you can devote your life to being delusional about a ship when you hate one of them so much. Tags on here be like 'he's rude', 'grow up', insulting brianna and calling him a bad father (which, idk if he is or isnt but it definitely wasn't the discussion)

My favourite was someone saying louis 'exposed himself as a liar' because he said he cooked that damn chicken for eleanor, so his tweet now proves he lied and didn't cook it for her because... well. Um. Bluegreen, I guess. As if that man hasn't been hounded by these rumours for over a decade and as if there's no chance he knows one of the most popular 'proofs' about it.

During the tweet spree, Louis didn’t mention anyone in his life except Freddie, and even if he did, what good would it do?

Larries even recently fantasized that Two Of Us was a song about Harry. How can we take people who seriously turn every molecule of Louis’ existence into a shadow for Harry Styles? A literal shadow, hiding in balconies and backstage watching Harry’s performances during Louis’ own solo tour.

Because they’ve spent money on him, Louis should act friendly toward those who demean him, who treat him like a rude but masochistic, self-sacrificial porn star in their fantasies.

He should just go along with people thinking every word he writes is about Harry Styles and every thought he has is for Harry Styles. Now only that, but Louis should know his career exists just because of Harry Styles and their shared fans, and never, ever hope for anything better.

I remember the tumblr post last year from the big Larrie who used to run the business-direction blog, who said Louis’ goal was to subsume his career to Harry’s so Harry could be a big MCU star. Unfortunately for these fantasies, no matter how much Louis throws himself under the bus, he can’t improve Harry’s acting skills.

Larries also make sure that any new fan of Louis’, be they a reactor on YouTube, or an opening act, or an indie musician, or a casual listener, knows that Louis’ fandom is filled with weird cultists.

When Louis behaves like a real person with feelings, an actual human being, somehow these fans (many of them very grown adults) feel insulted and say the vilest things about a person they “love.” They even come back to a fandom they’ve left just to gaslight followers some more.

I know you’ll probably don’t respond to this but… as a Tom fan, I’ll be very honest. I feel like the fandom isn’t being truthful and there has been a lot of dissatisfaction around him for a while but won’t say it because they don’t want to come off as antis. But I think it’s okay to have different opinions and have some critics.

as a Tom fan, it’s been so exhausting how everything about him has become his romantic relationship. it didn’t bothered me at first but now it’s unbearable. For 2 years now, he isn’t perceived as an actor, just “the boyfriend”. he only trends or makes headlines related to his relationship. Before making the relationship public, he had a whole set of opportunities. He was a movie star in the making, everyone was waiting for his next move outside of the MCU. By 2019, he was already the lead of two movies with huge box office numbers and with active participation in the Avengers. One of the most talked about movies ever. And what have we gotten ever since? TDATT was his last good movie and that’s a fact a lot of the fandom doesn’t want to admit. And that came out 4 years ago.

I feel like a lot of people on the fandom doesn’t want to admit Tom is around people that don’t push him to consider his career Post-Marvel as long as they get the benefits from his MCU checks. And most of his team aren’t really building his career with a strategy in mind. The whole “lead action hero” agenda that his team tries to push only limits him. And I also think Tom lets himself get carried away by a lot of people like the Russo Brothers. Doolittle and Onward were cute but didn’t do much for his career. And I’m sure he only did Doolittle because of RDJ. And the movie flopped.

Chaos Walking was the worst decision he could’ve made because everything about it screamed that it was going to tank. But his team wanted him to be the face of a new franchise so bad. And it’s not like it was a super obscure genre that people don’t tend to watch - it was a young adult sci-fi movie but it was so bad Lionsgate had it as a tax write off. He missed on the lead for 1917 for this movie.

Following that, he did Cherry with the Russo Brothers and that wasn’t good at all. Yes, Tom’s acting was great but the movie was hardly of quality. It shouldn’t have existed in his discography and it’s because of his dependence with the Russo brothers that he got stuck with that script. After a year of bad movies outside of the MCU, comes NWH that quickly becomes a box office success but it’s also overshadowed by his relationship and the rumored cameos. I guess it was smart that Uncharted and NWH came out close because it helped the box office but even when I thought the movie was fun, it further typecasts Tom into those type of roles and I feel it goes with his team wanting him to be the “lead action hero” instead of going for smaller things as some actors do to slowly break out from a character.

After a long time, he drops TCR and again, I think his acting was great but the series as a whole was hard to get through. It definitely got ignored by the strike since he couldn’t promote it. But then again, the only viral tweets I saw about this show were in relation to his personal life. Not once about Tom as an actor.

I’m happy he is going back into theater and maybe he finds himself inspired again with what made him love acting. But after that? Uncharted 2? The confirmation of another Spider-Man trilogy? I really hope the Paul A biopic is still in place because this could turn around his career in another direction.

And yes, I know that not everyone wants to have a critically acclaim career and at the end of the day i am not here to dictate that- i understand he doesn’t like the industry and he is allowed to take time away from that, but I’ve been saying it for years - i think his team should allow him to do silly movies or movies w great directors and assemble cast where he isn’t the lead role. he could do a secondary character in a great movie and maybe he won’t feel too pressured by that but gets to build more experiences. florence pugh was 5 minutes in oppenheimer. a lot of huge actors do small roles in movies. why can’t he do the same?

tom has become really all about his relationship while his peers that didn’t have half the accolades than him, have been able to rise into a more established career in matter of 2 years. all while their relationship not being the main focus.

I think most fans are just tired of constantly hate and unnecessary career discussions every two weeks coming from people who don't watch his projects and are always comparing him to other dudes, when we're barely getting anything from him and he hasn't been cast in a movie in 3 years, hasn't been on a movie set for 2 years. They cannot praise these other guys without mentioning him and it's annoying.

Also, fans who say he doesn't care about critics, aren't lying to themselves, he clearly does. What actor doesn't want positive feedback? He's still campaigning for an award even tho he probably won't get nominated again (I'd love to be proven wrong, but still).

Hey! It's this whole Jenna Ortega meme whatever thing. She said that some superhero was her favorite so people turned it into a meme format because of Wednesday's popularity. So fans of like every fictional character posted 'Jenna is a fan of *insert fictional character*. Someome tweeted Captain Marvel is Jenna's fav and I think it went a little viral so Brie saw it and believed it and invited Jenna to come on her YouTube channel and show her the Wednesday dance.

So basically people started attacking Brie because of this and said that she fell so far after being an Oscar winner. And that she's so desperate for views on her YouTube channel and she's SM illiterate, I don't even know. Then they started insulting Carol and the MCU. Same old drama from the last few years. Just people being miserable about a misunderstanding and it sounds so damn silly when I summarize it.

Then there was also some weirdo who wrote an essay this week about how Carol and Rey and some female characters from LOTR suck and are Mary Sue's, and then I guess a whole lot of women started defending those characters so it turned into a thing. I think there's The Marvels drama too but I'm not sure what the issue is this week.

I know you are done engaging with those people, but I really needed to share my frustration, since you truly know and care about Namor. Oh I've seen so many of those tweets and even posts here on tumblr where people are saying Marvel switched Namor from obsessing over Sue to Shuri and honestly it says more about the fans saying that then it does about Marvel's handing of Namor's character in regards to Sue and Shuri. Call me crazy but I don't think making women interchangeable just for a ship is a good thing. lmao.

Fandom perception of Namor/Sue has been wrong long before I came to fandom and there will always be people who don't know it's not what comic fanbros say it is because they choose not to read the comics.

Saw one fan state "Namor took the diving suits because he knew he would have the Princess in Talokan soon and wanted it for her" which made me want to respond "It's been shown Namor is a magpie and takes trinkets from the surface world" but I chose not to, lol. It's hard sometimes when you see stuff like that because it just reduces every action Namor makes as some motive for their ship which turns me off of ships so fast. Like I get if it's in a jokey way but you can tell people are serious about this to the point the entire characterization of Namor has become "He simps for Shuri". Even though creators, and the actors all came out saying it is not meant to be romantic that won't stop people from doing this and honestly so long as people don't try and tag my general stuff/twist it to use for their ship then I'm whatever.

Shipping is very important to some fans and it's all they want to interact with in media to the point they water down these complex characters and their relationships to just "they wanna fuck so bad". Personally I can't handle engaging in media only that way so I do agree with you. The sheer amount of people doing this is making it hard to have fun and enjoy MCU!Namor's character within the fandom because it's everywhere and they can't decide on one specific tag to make it easy to filter out for non shipping fans.

MCU Phase 5 & 6 Predictions and Theories

Clearly I’ve had too much time on my hands lately, but please feel free to reply with your thoughts and own predictions! Links to sources have been provided in cases where tweets, articles, or interviews are referenced!

**Quick disclaimer that these are merely my own theories and predictions, not necessarily what I want or hope to happen, but are based on patterns and predicted storylines.**

Regé-Jean Page as Reed Richards/Mr.Fantastic.

I am pretty sure that Secret Invasion tweet error was a copy/paste issue from a cast list provided to social media reps of cast members so he has likely been cast in something. However, I doubt it is Secret Invasion and it would not be a minor role, and he would be a perfect choice for the smartest man alive.

Cillian Murphy will not play Doctor Doom, but he will be cast in a non-F4 project.

Although he has been fancast by many as Doctor Doom and would do a great job playing the villain, I really doubt we see him take up that mantle. However, I do believe we may see him take on another anti-hero or grey character as that he would do just as great a job as.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau cast as Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom.

This rumour has been circulating a while and seems the most likely scenario in my opinion, more so than other popular choices among fans such as Murphy and Cavill. Marvel has successfully cashed in on the Game of Thrones appeal of many actors in the past and they are sure to again.

**Although Coster-Waldau is a phenomenal actor and would play a MCU villain very well, it must be noted that Victor von Doom is a Romani character and should in fact be played by a Romani actor. Yet as Marvel has unfortunately not been competent in their appropriately cast Romani or Jewish characters of actors of a shared heritage, I find it difficult to believe that this behaviour will be amended in time for this casting (which may have already taken place).**

Laura Dern in New Asgard.

We saw Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill in Thor: Ragnarok, giving us 2/3 of the original Jurassic Park trio, and both were set to be in Thor: Love and Thunder (but only Neill did as Goldblum’s scene was cut), I NEED DR. GRANT AND DR. SATTLER TOGETHER IN THE MCU. Possibly as actress Frigga in an Asgardian play? Maybe the Grandmaster could be in the audience?? I don’t care how this would happen as I don’t see Thor 5 happening, but it is very important to me personally that it does. (This is the only personal indulgence prediction I promise).

Sylvie will die in Loki Season 2, Loki returns to New Asgard.

Both of them won’t make it out of the next season, yet I see Loki being a more likely option to survive in this case as he would return to New Asgard as a whistleblower about how dangerous Kang has become. However, none of the Avengers would believe him until Scott Lang confirms following the events of Quantumania.

Valkyrie adopting a much larger role in the MCU, dates Carol Danvers.

As we are nearing the end of our time with Thor and Loki, Valkyrie will likely be our link to Asgard. It’s also about time they give our King a girlfriend, and it being Carol Danvers would make them the ultimate power couple.

Nova announcement for Phase 6.

It’s overdue that Nova be introduced into the MCU, and with the Guardians making their exit in May it is the perfect timing to introduce a new connection to the galactic aspect of the MCU. It would also possibly be something hinted towards or appear in a post-credit scene in GotG vol. 3, and be connected to Adam Warlock’s future in the MCU.

Midnight Sons announcement for Phase 6 or 7.

This one feels pretty obvious given the introduction of Moon Knight & Mr. Knight, Blade, Werewolf by Knight, Man-Thing (Ted!!!) and Elsa Bloodstone, we’re seeing much more characters falling into the darker and monster-related side of the MCU who are all tied to the Midnight Sons. In addition to the fact that other affiliates are likely being introduced soon, including Wolverine and Ghost Rider, and others including Doctor Strange, Wong, and Mordo already present, it is certainly in Marvel’s plans for the future.

Antony Starr cast as Dracula in Blade.

Another highly rumoured casting, this time based upon Starr tweeting about being busy with little explanation and other alleged leaks. He is amazing as Homelander in The Boys, so him undertaking a villain such as Dracula would be great.

“Ralph Bohner” revealed as Peter Maximoff, explains Deadpool and the X-Men’s introduction to the MCU.

Given the possibility that Ralph Bohner is the member of WITSEC that Jimmy Woo was going to Westview to visit, a theory I explain more in depth here as WITSEC is not typically FBI jurisdiction, it would make sense that he will be connected to Deadpool and the X-Men entering the MCU, albeit with a different cast. Peter and Wade would be from the same universe, with the new X-Men being from another, thus explaining the discrepancy of having seen the first reboot of the franchise in Deadpool 2.

Daniel Brühl’s “surprise” return as Helmut Zemo in the Thunderbolts.

We were all expecting that Zemo was going to be in the Thunderbolts given that he plays a significant role in the comics, and Brül addresses this by reminding fan’s that Zemo is “not dead” and “even if he could [explain], he couldn’t” tell fans if he will return. Yeah, he’s definitely coming back. Marvel’s probably just waiting until the trailer drops or even hiding it until the film’s release to generate hype closer to it’s release.

Okoye returns in Thunderbolts and Wakanda plays a large role in the plot.

Given Bucky’s history with Hydra, it’s difficult to see Bucky joining Valentina given her ties with the organization, leaving two scenarios plausible: he is not aware of them, or is a double agent. If the possible rumours that it involves a heist in Wakanda, especially considering how Valentina likely has a vendetta against them for aiding Ross in escaping, it is surely the latter as I cannot see Bucky so blatantly defying Wakanda after all they did for him unless there is a more pressing threat at hand (ie. in TFATWS/CAATWS). And, if this is true, a large threat such as the Hydra under the guise of the U.S. Government classifies it as that.

Andrew Garfield appearance in Venom 3.

This is pretty popular, but considering his line in Spider-Man: No Way Home that he “want[s] to fight an alien,” it feels foreshadowing. That, plus the fan reception of his return and performance as Peter Parker, makes it natural that Sony would want to continue featuring him in their non-MCU universe, and have him face off with Venom or join forces against a common foe.

Milly Alcock cast as Gwen Stacy.

Another GOT/HOTD related casting prediction, Milly Alcock as Gwen Stacy is something I have seen discussed as a fan cast rapidly growing in popularity. And, as mentioned before, Marvel has historically favoured actors who featured in GOT, including Richard Madden, Kit Harrington, and Emilia Clarke in the MCU, with Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams in the XCU. Not only has she proved herself a great actress and bears a striking resemblance to the comic and Into the Spiderverse depictions of the character, but Gwen Stacy needs to be played as independent, strong and proactive in her behaviour. In her portrayal of Rhaenyra Targaryen, she has proved herself capable of portraying these traits as a strong female lead tenfold.

Donald Glover Returns as Aaron Davis/Prowler along with Miles Morales.

Again, another pretty obvious development, but I do not think Glover’s role of producing and starring as the titular character of Hypno-Hustler, a Sony film about another Spiderverse villain, will impact his role as Prowler unless we explicitly hear him confirm that he will be handing the reins of the role over to another actor. And, of course, it is incredibly likely we see Miles Morales introduced within the next few Spider-Man films.

Scott Lang is the one Avenger who remembers Peter Parker.

We know that there has been some exploration of the possibility that one Avenger remembers Peter Parker, and the one possible option is Scott Lang. It is through the Quantum realm that we know time travel is possible, and it may have been something being experimented with by Scott, Hope, Hank, Janet, and possibly Cassie, at the time of the spell being cast. We also don’t know what other kind of characteristics the Quantum realm may possess with regard to impacting how the spell may effect someone in it and/or absent at the time it was cast. However, this is just one of many possibilities.

Hank Pym dies in Ant-Man: Quantumania.

Pretty self explanatory, but I think as this is most likely the final Ant-Man movie, especially with Paul Rudd, that one of their main characters will die and, since they just got Janet back, Hank seems like the most emotional loss for the other characters.

Druig will adopt a more villainous role by the end of Phase 6.

I love Druig and Makkari so much, but in the comics, Druig is a villain that the Eternals fight against as well as being related to them. I don’t see them killing off Makkari and would be devastated if they do, but I think she may be injured or have something happen that would send Druig on a spiral. We would probably not see this until after Eternals 2 or the next Avengers films, but I fully expect Druig to have a character arc quite similar to Wanda’s.

Richard Madden returns as Ikaris in Eternals 2.

Arishem has the power to recreate any of the Eternals he wishes and, given that Ikaris was his most loyal follower and would be difficult both emotionally and physically for many of the Eternals to fight again, it would be in his best interest to bring him back.

Hello! Literally just started following you and I'm aready in love. It's so refreshing to see someone in the stevebucky fandom who doesn't worship (or even like really) the actors and is able to separate them, not to mention the army of peggy stans who are on the rise, who diminish the importance of comic steve and mcu sam. I can't help but agree with every word you say, as former mcu stan and current mcu hater who still loves the cap quartet dearly. Do not get me started on the performative white feminism on pushing Cap Peggy down our throats (and in MoM where they introduce openly queer woc. I did't see Mom bc I refuse to support Mcu any longer but I doubt her being a raging lesbian is even mentioned, and she's a literal child so it's not like we'll see her happily flirt with every female character like she does in the comics. before MoM even came out there was a tweet from film updates on twitter talking about how the movie had been banned in a few countries for including a queer relationship on screen (america’s mothers) and a prominent queer character (america whose sexuality was only alluded to by the little pride pin on her jacket) and almost all of the quotes and replies were people joking about dr. strange being gay for ironman or wanda being a gay icon and maybe it’s just because i’m a hater but i got so fucking irritated that no one was acknowledging the actual lesbian of color who was in the movie .. even if it was just for the jokes (which were all about white characters being gay because they hate acknowledging poc can be queer) and having seen MoM (with my friend’s free ticket because i would not have paid for it otherwise) most of the people are ignoring america completely, or blaming her for ‘contributing to wanda’s suffering’ as if wanda doesn’t spend the entire movie trying to kill her. like what ? As a Tomdaya on the bird app, who stans Tom and Z as individuals as well as their relationship, I’d thought I chime in. I agree with the anon that Z is treated very differently on the app than Tom and I find it weird. I think Z fans are very proctevtive of Z, rightfully so but they often fail to view her as a human being and put her on this bizarre pedestal that sometimes removes her humanity as an individual that I can only really compare to to Taylor swift. Disney is the starting block to ownership because a lot of fans either grew up with Z or rewatched her shows on the channel that they are the super fans today. Add in The Greatest Showman, MCU, Euphoria and Dune. Properties with big fan bases. Her music career was also very successful though cut short and had a huge impact. It’s not lost on me of the sheer volume of fame and fans she’s received being strategic and being one of a kind talent.

Tom on the other hand has MCU but really didn’t grow up in the public the way Z did at age 13. Another factor I think is a big contribution to this phenomenon is that Z encourages parasocial relationships with her fans. I didn’t think to much of this because most celebs have social media but most don’t really talk to fans unless their gen z or musicians.

They put Z on puritanical pedestals and remove her humanity.Sometimes I think they forget that they know she lurks on socials and might like or retweets accounts thus creating subfandoms that have relations to Z. Those fandoms are not bad and great if your a fan. But those ones like timdayas, hunterdaya or anyone daya who cut Tom out of everything is just so weird to me. They get annoyed if you make a Tomdaya joke cause she more than her relationship. They’re not wrong but she’s always more than her costars but they never see through that logic because it doesn’t fit their narrative lol.

Timothee used to be parasocial as well, especially at the beginning of his career. He would communicate with fans and actually create a bond with them on socials and real life. Club Chalamet is a result of that lol. After the Eiza situation, he stopped and mainly keeps interactions slim and mainly related to his next project because he saw that lines were being blurred and those fans at the time were judgmental. Idk if you remember the infamous Timothee I trusted you meme because despite general public coming for him, those stans really were doing too much lol. I think that’s why he hid his relationships from his fans because they built this idea of him when he’s just a man in his 20s figuring it out lol.

Tom fans are in three catergories mcu fanboys, Tomdayas like me lol, antis who don’t like Z. His fanbase on twitter is really an amalgamation of Tomdayas who both love Z and Tom but their small compared to Z’s or Timothee. When he gets hate Tomdaya felt the need to defend on his behalf. The reality is Tom doesn’t care. He only uses insta and avoids twitter. He healthy because he live in his own universe. However, he’s not a Paul mescal or Josh O’Connor where his work little or alot can stand out for itself whether he’s likeable or not. A lot of his fame comes from his personality or ip films. I’m aware I missed Billy Elliot, just don’t thinks it relevant on social media. Yes I loved tcr but when the rt score came it was brutal. It was shocking seeing critics who relatively have a niche on films come for him and I was just sad that ppl had this much vitriol despite the fact he’s not problematic. Both film twitter beloved Chris Pine and Chris Evans have critically failure and there’s not hate as much as Tom got that week. One thing as a Tomdaya that muted certain z fans who hate on him is that he really doesn’t care.

Him liking that insta post about him forgetting he’s famous made me realise that as a fan I should not care and just curate my account for my own happiness. I don’t engage tweets about comparison with other actors, z’s exes or costars because I know it’s bait. Toms fanbase is small so I’m happy it’s not as big as other actors. That’s why I think those fans can repost his kissing scenes of intamite scenes cause he doesn’t lurk Twitter and it doesn’t start trending. Z does so when those fans post things about her boyfriend or her exes or costars, they know she lurks and I think that’s weird. Maybe that’s why Tomdayas get on defence lol. I’m aware though some Tomdayas can be cringe. I’m not rewriting history here lol.

Well, honestly Anon.... MOST Celebrities (I feel) have realized over the years that the LESS they share of their personal life, the BETTER. If you go back 7 years....even just 5 years....and you were to go back in time and be on IG or Twitter as a fan back then, you would see that Z, Tom, Timothee, shoot....even Austin, Nadia lol, etc. ALL used to be waaaay more personable, engaging, and even posted WAY more on their social media accounts back then compared to now. I think over the years, a LOT of these celebrities (especially the ones who are fairly famous) have all realized just how toxic social media has become in just such a short time, and I think they have figured out that the less they share, the better.

Fans have definitely crossed the line, and these actors have realized that they need to put a boundary again btwn them, their private life, and their fans. That's just my own personal observation and theory. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I definitely think you should curate your online account for your own happiness and not worry too much about Tom. With that said, while he may have liked that post, we can't say with 100% accuracy that "he doesn't care" about what people say about him. He IS human after all. He might not care about ALL things, but certain things might def be hurtful.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

I think now that the movie has been out for almost a week, it’s safe to post this. Nevertheless, this post contains SPOILERS. If you haven’t seen the movie yet and don’t want to read spoilers, please do not read any further.

Considering what my blog is about, it is pretty obvious that this post will be focused on Anson Mount reprising his role as Black Bolt.

However, I’d like to say how much I enjoyed the movie regardless of Black Bolt’s cameo. I would have watched it anyways, just as I watched a bunch of other Marvel movies before.

I do not claim in the slightest to be a Marvel expert. I do not know most about the continuity and canon of the Marvel universe(s). What I know is that the “main” Earth/Universe is 616, which is where the movie starts off.

Before the movie release there was already a lot of speculation going on whether a) Black Bolt would make his return and b) who would play him. For a long time I thought both rumors were just well placed publicity stunts (because unlike Paramount, Disney and Marvel DO know how to create fan interest). I just couldn’t imagine Anson playing Black Bolt again after the Inhumans show bombed so badly and the critics were devastating. I also remember a Tweet from Anson in which he pretty much hinted that he’s done with this role.

But on the other side, fans and critics for the most part didn’t blame the actors for the failure, especially Anson was often praised as having been the only highlight of the show. So, when the rumors about him showing up in DS2 again startet, most fans were not dismissive.

However, I still couldn’t believe it. Until I saw it.

My jaw literally dropped. He really did it. I am not sure why, but he really did it! And he showed up in a full comic accurate suit. I have read many of BB’s comics by now and I have to say I love the level of detail of the suit in the movie. It even had the wings and the tuning fork (which Strange makes fun of, as well as of BB’s full name). And can I say just how super fit Anson looks in the suit? It was like a second skin and oh man, so so fine! The only very minor thing I was not sure about was the chin piece which BB usually doesn’t have in the comics. But it also didn’t bother me much.

If my eyes didn’t betray me, I think BB even had 2 different versions of the suit in the movie, one with the bolts highlighted and one without highlights.

BB’s death was brutal. I am not the only one who is upset that Reed Richards literally threw BB under the bus by telling Wanda what his superpower was. I mean, isn’t Reed supposed to be the smartest person in the universe?

But okay, I get it that the cameo was most and foremost fan service. And as it looks like, it worked out nicely. Since Anson showed up in DS2, it’s become a lot more challenging to filter Twitter posts, news and Youtube videos to find the Star Trek content. There is so much Marvel stuff showing up now. People are discussing what the return of BB means for the MCU. All this buzz and the parallel premiere of SNW boosted Anson up in the IMDB Starmeter to no. 15 in the week after both releases.

But what does it mean for the MCU?

The most precise answer would be I guess everything and nothing. Marvel Studios are known for not revealing key appearances until the release (but spreading rumors just before the release to increase publicity). And right now, with all the SNW promotion going on, Anson is very tight lipped (no pun intended!) on Marvel. Until he will finally open up about his appearance, we won’t learn about his motivation to be in DS2 and his and BB’s future in the MCU (which - if there is a future for him in the MCU - Anson would not talk about anyways due to the NDA).

Nevertheless, the fans already started to speculate.

Theory 1 – Feige showed his distaste for Inhumans by having BB killed so easily

Some critics and fans claim to know that Feige absolutely hates the Inhumans and especially the ABC adaption in their failed show. With bringing Black Bolt to DS2 and killing him off so easily and brutally, Feige cemented the end of this character and the Inhumans once and for all.

My take on this: I don’t think this is the case. Before ABC snatched the rights to the Inhumans, Marvel Studios actually had an Inhumans movie planned for phase 3 of the MCU. The plans then got delayed several times when (from what I heard) Spiderman could be redeemed for the MCU and later Disney removed the release date for the Inhumans movie altogether to make place for other, more known Disney productions. However, to my knowledge Feige never stated that he lost interest in the project. He still hoped for a delayed release.

The property on Inhumans was then transferred to Marvel Television and out of Feige’s reach. What then followed was the infamous TV show that bombed so badly.

Feige could have just leave it at that and never mention Black Bolt again. But he did not. He decided to redeem BB in DS2. Why though?

If Feige really wanted to end this character once and for all, he would have killed him off in universe 616 and not in the universe 838. Actually, we don’t even know if the Inhumans show is considered canon. And if it is, in which universe?

And also, would Anson do this to himself? Would he do a cameo in which his character gets killed off due to the producer hating him? I have my issues believing this (unless Anson was kept in the dark about Feige's real intentions).

Theory 2 – Feige wanted to show ABC and the fans how Black Bolt SHOULD have been done

There are many critics about the TV show, but two that stand out are that BB’s appearance was just cheesy, having him wear human clothes and just hinting at his suit with the leather jacket (which actually was also done in comics btw!). The other is that BB was nerfed way too much and under normal circumstances the cops could never have arrested a superhero like BB. (On a side note: After reading a bunch of comics in which BB repeatedly gets captured and having his powers either subdued or abused, I do challenge this argument. Also, BB has been captured before not by being overpowered, but because he made the choice to prevent others from being harmed, just as when he surrendered to Lash to protect Blinky.)

In this theory fans claim that Feige wanted to demonstrate how Black Bolt should have been done, meaning as a full accurate comic version and with his powers displayed correctly (which we DO get to see in a flashback sequence in DS2).

This theory also claims that Feige wanted to give a nod to Anson for his dedication to the role (Anson developed his own sign language and admitted multiple times how much he loved the character) and as such, wanted to give him the opportunity to reprise his role, but this time within MCU and comic accurate.

My take on this: Quite possible! But then again, what a waste if we never gonna see the character again? Why of all the possible characters, they chose to bring the Illuminati. Why of all the characters, they chose to bring one of the lesser known? While this theory is likely, I still cannot shake off the feeling there is more behind this. Especially because BB was not killed off in the main universe 616. There has to be a reason behind this. Especially as BB was added way late in the production in reshoots (if rumors are true).

Does this mean we’ll get to see Black Bolt again for sure? Nope. But it means the character is now in the MCU repertoire.

Theory 3 – The cameo is a billboard for later projects to come

Black Bolt got his cameo in a blockbuster movie because he will appear in later projects for Phase 4. Or Marvel Studios placed the cameo in the movie to test out fan reactions to decide later whether they will give BB a future in the MCU.

My take on this: I hope this is true!

Will Anson play Black Bolt? I hope so! But I have my doubts. Anson is very busy with Star Trek and could only work on other projects during his off season, which would probably be from September to January. Would be enough time to work for Marvel, but I suppose the man wants some off time and spend some time with his family, too! Not to mention the potential conflicts this might cause with having to major competing companies involved, which are Paramount and Disney.

But it is possible. It is also possible that some other actor will play Black Bolt. We all know Vin Diesel pitched for the role but really… just because BB wears a hood doesn’t mean he doesn’t have hair! Read the comics. He does have hair! In later comics he is even shown without his suit but in a more casual attire.

And in many comics he looks so much like Anson that it feels like the role was made for him. All this, plus Black Bolt is very fit, which Anson is as well… unlike um… okay lets stop here.

Either way, what projects could involve BB? There is Ms. Marvel for once, who in the comics was the Inhuman Kamala Khan to be later named Ms. Marvel. It’s not clear whether Ms. Marvel has the same powers in the MCU as in the comics, there are rumors she might be different in the MCU. But if she may still keep her Inhumans background, a BB cameo would be possible. The miniseries is about to start on Disney+ already in June or July this year (I’d have to look it up). If BB was part of that (which I don’t think he is), filming was already done long ago.

The other project that SHOULD have Black Bolt, if it is close to the comics (which MCU admittedly doesn’t feel bound to to), is Secret Invasion, which will also premiere on Disney+ later this year. So, filming for that also must have been completed long ago. Black Bolt has a significant part in the Secret Invasion comic series with the Skrull showing… let’s just say… great interest in his powers. If he’s not in the TV show it would disappoint me. How are the chances Anson would play BB? Admittedly slim, because the show was mainly filmed in England and I haven’t heard of Anson spending time there. However, filming was later moved to Canada, so who knows?

My overall guess

DS2 was the only time we have seen Anson as Black Bolt in the MCU simply because he is too busy with Star Trek. But it is not the last time we’ve seen Black Bolt in the MCU. I think bringing BB in Universe 838 was a thank you by Feige for Anson’s dedication. But for the main universe 616 they will likely bring another actor which is possible with the whole multiverse set-up, as we have seen with Reed Richards and Spiderman.

I would not mind if I am wrong with my guess though. I wouldn’t mind at all!

But that would be super crazy for Anson to be in two huge franchises at the same time.

I guess time will tell.

For me, a lot of these tweets were memories even if I didn’t use twitter that much.

I still have not really used that camera. Feels bad man. I need to get over my anxiety.

I’ll probably replay miles morales somewhere later this year or next :) Trophy run for spiderman games before spiderman 2 comes out.

I sincerely doubt I’ll ever be able to save up that much for so long again, that was such a big achievement for me. Being able to spend so freely. This year I’ve mostly been looking into what hobbies to prioritize when I did have money available. When you’re young and were so used to barely having things- once you have access to that- you have a phase of impulsive spending or simply spending to make yourself happy because you suddenly could. I think a lot of people experience that at least once in their lives. Its like when you’re an adult you realize you can go out at 3 am and buy cake somewhere and eat it. I mean- it’s not a good choice but it made you happy. That matters.

Now looking back, I doubt I was cryptic LOL.

trash taste don’t like my trash taste though. I’m a big marvel fan. mcu has let me down lately unfortunately but its ok. I have comic books.

a/n: hiii!! sorry for the long wait and delay, I forgot to post this a month ago😭😅. school is just making me busy but requests are open <3 also im pretty sure theres a similar fanfic plot w this but imma hope mine has a bit of twist and difference to it 😭. Another thing, I have no idea how TwitchCon works or what it looks like from the inside so please bare with the lack of TwitchCon knowledge in this fanfic. Anyways, i hope u enjoy this short one :))

TwitchCon is coming in a few days and [Y/N] is beyond excited. Not only it was their first-ever TwitchCon, but they also get to finally meet Tommy, Wilbur, Phil, and Techno.

However, those 4 don't know [Y/N] will be joining TwitchCon in San Diego since [Y/N] literally lives on the other side of the world and the SBI thinks their parents didn't allow them to travel just for TwitchCon.

But [Y/N]'s parents literally said yes once they told them about TwitchCon💀

Even though telling the SBI beforehand would be a great start to plan the things they would do and have fun but then again, where's the thrill and excitement into seeing their shocked faces once they see [Y/N].

They are currently anxious at the moment, tapping their feet on and on. What if one of them sees [Y/N] on the airport or on the way to the TwitchCon?? That will definitely ruin the surprise.

[Y/N] hopes that the Marvel disguise, which consist of the cap and a sunglasses, will work.

As soon as they finally landed at the San Diego Internationally Airport, they received a text message from the group chat.

[Y/N] quietly laughed and placed their phone back in their bag. They better hurry back to the hotel and get ready to surprise the four of them.

A few hours later, they have finally gotten ready for TwitchCon in which will start in like an hour and the excitement is increasing.

[Y/N] have gotten over the plan once again: use the MCU disguise, pull a You Joe Goldberg, snap a picture of the SBI together from afar and watch the four of them freak out. [Y/N] chuckled evilly and looked for a ride to the TwitchCon.

On the way to the TwitchCon, they decided to open up Twitter to see if any other CCs or fans posted a tweet or a picture about TwitchCon already. So far, many people have tagged [Y/N] saying they’re sad that [Y/N] isn’t able to come.

At last, they have set foot to the entryway of TwitchCon, they can feel their anticipation and eagerness increasing. Luckily, it’s a bit crowded so if the four are already there, they will have a hard time accidentally spotting [Y/N].

Right before entering the building, they sent a small message of, “Have fun guys ;)” to the group chat and turned off their phone.

Although being in a crowd will have higher chance of getting not recognized, they still feel somewhat uneasy in such a big crowd. Just the amount of people being in the same room as them makes [Y/N] anxious. But they made sure they’d try to overcome the fear of crowds for now because this prank plan only happens once in a lifetime.

‘Ohno, I didn’t get to ask where they are,’ [Y/N] thought as they observe the crowd. ‘But, that will make me suspicious.’

Now getting lost in the convention, they immediately tried to find a way to know where they are until a group of girls near [Y/N] age slowly passed by, seemingly talking about Tommy, Wilbur, Techno and Phil.

“Ohhh, I can’t wait to see them in real life,” said one girl.

“They’re just in their booths far away right?”

“Yep! Do you guys want to solo picture with each of them or a group picture?” The other girl in a Dream merch asked.

The conversation of the group of girls gradually died down as they are now away from where [Y/N] is just standing from. ‘Jackpot! I’ll just follow them and I hope they can lead me to where those boys are’

[Y/N] hurriedly tried to run after the group of girls because they almost lost track of where they are heading due to the dozens of people walking past and across.

Although they did lost track of the group of girls, they tiredly sighed. But, it was immediately turned into a lopsided grin once they heard a familiar loud-ass person they know.

"Didn't know this place is full of Americans!"

"Tommy, we're literally in America. What do you expect?"

[Y/N] tried to contain themselves from jumping into them out of nowhere because they can feel themselves being giddy and excited.

This is it. The moment they've been waiting and planning for.

[Y/N] took out their phone and immediately snapped a photo of Philza's back head. They are so lucky that the disguise worked and those 4 idiots are really convinced [Y/N] is not there with them.

As soon as they snapped the photo, they sent it to the group chat. Looking away from their phone, they can see Wilbur pulling out their phone and immediately typing on the phone. [Y/N] giggled.

wilby: WHAT?! HOW?

They looked again at where the SBI is standing. Wilbur hurriedly tapped on Philza's shoulder and showed him the photo.

Philza's jaw dropped and exclaimed, "[Y/N] is here!?" Tommy's and Techno's heads whipped towards Philza and went towards the two of them.

"[Y/N]??? Here? Since when??" Tehcno asked.

"They sent a photo of my head!"

"That's impossible," Tommy said, crossing their arms. "They can't be here. Their parents didn't allow them to come remember? Maybe they asked a fan to take a photo of Phil's back head."

[Y/N] tried to contain their laughter as they just watch the four go chaos. They unlocked their phone again and opened the group chat.

While Tommy, Techno, Phil and Wilbur are in shambles and busy texting in the groupchat. [Y/N] saw a perfect opportunity.

Still not removing any of their disguise, they hurriedly yet sneakily walked towards theme. Good thing the boys had their backs turned and they can't see [Y/N] sneaking behind them.

They kept hearing continuous text notifications as it kept buzzing in their hands.

"They just sent a winky face and never replied!"

"I swear to god, they're just probably scaring us—"

"TOMMY!" [Y/N] screamed loudly at the ear of Tommy as managed to tackle the entire group causing the five of them to fall to the ground. The five of them got startled and screamed. Tommy's scream was the loudest.

"AAAAAHHH WHAT THE FUCK?!"

Other people looked at their direction due to how loud they all screamed. [Y/N] laughed and put their hand to their belly, trying to find support due to too much laughter. They just decided to continue laying on the floor because they're still busy laughing.

Wilbur immediately went to stand up and exclaimed, "[Y/N]?! You're really here?!"

"Holy shit." Phil laughed as he help Techno stand up from the ground. Tommy and [Y/N] are still the ones on the floor.

[Y/N] is too busy laughing while Tommy is in bewilderment and shock. "Careful, Tommy you're gonna catch a fly." Techno joked.

"His jaw dropped too hard." Tommy continued to stare at [Y/N] until he attacked and engulfed them in a big hug.

"Tommy you're crushing me."

"I don't care," Tommy replied, hugging [Y/N] even harder. "YOU FUCKER ARE REALLY HERE."

"Come up, child. It's now our turn to hug [Y/N]." Techno said as he tried to separate Tommy from them.

It took a while until Tommy got tired of hugging [Y/N] too hard so the two of them finally got the chance to stand up with the help of Phil, Wilbur and Techno. As soon as [Y/N] stood up, they were immediately greeted with Wilbur's and Philza's hug.

"You guys are really trying to crush and kill me, huh?"

“Move, it’s my turn.” Techno pushed Phil and Wilbur away and crushed poor [Y/N] as well.

“I’m now very convinced all of you are plotting my death.” They said in between of the hugging. Techno let go and everyone’s adrenaline is still rushing. “YOOO!”

After finally getting accustomed to [Y/N] being with them, they all settled down and took a deep breath. "Man, I still can't believe you're really here, you sly motherfucker." Tommy stated.

"Yeah, me too."

Suddenly, Phil slightly nudged [Y/N]'s side and said, "Look you're number 1 trending already on Twitter."

[Y/N] let out a surprised gasp and immediately opened up Twitter. They scrolled down to see some tweets and oh boy, they really were trending that fast.

Pictures of [Y/N] sneaking behind the SBI, another one where [Y/N] tackles them to the ground, more pictures of them that just happened minutes ago.

How are people so fast????

It was a long day of meeting, greeting, signing and socializing with fans. The five of them might be tired but hey, it was an awesome day. Not only they get to go to TwitchCon and meet fans, but they also get to finally hang out in real life.

They are currently packing up their things from TwitchCon and heading out to eat dinner together. However, Tommy has other plans.

"Can you buy the cotton candy that I saw outside pleaseee??" Tommy pleaded to Techno.

"No."

He then went towards Phil but was already cutted off before Tommy even says anything. "We're going to eat dinner, save the sweets for later."

"But, PHILLLLLL." Tommy groaned.

[Y/N] laughed and sped walked beside Tommy. "Watch and learn bitch boy."

They then went towards Techno first and asked, "Can you buy that cotton candy for me?"

"Sure."

Tommy's jaw dropped. What the fuck ???

"That's so unfair!"

The rest of the night was spent goofing around, eating dinner together, strolling around and bullying Tommy (hj).

This was one of the best days they ever had. Wishing this all won't be over anytime soon.

Time may fly by so fast but you have to cherish and remember all the fun memories you had made.

Afterall, there are many more opportunities in which the five of you will meet up again. Who knows?
